LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Shoal by Kerdelos 2022-04-14T02:41:23Z

between the bright pixel art and the peaceful music, the game feels relaxing and nice to play. I almost closed it the first time I reached a new level, though, because I thought I reached the end of the map. It could use an indication to let the player know there will be a new level, soon. I didn't really understand what I had to wait for when I wasn't allowed to continue up the river for some time.

chronis by torcado 2022-04-06T02:58:29Z

Really nice graphics and game feel. I didn't really get how to play well, but I think I'm just not puzzle-minded enough. Awesome work though, really impressive compo entry!

Virus Bash by joewan 2022-04-14T02:52:25Z

I've played lots of these kinds of games... And they're always really fun! Nice work. I like that you can pick your upgrades.

CABBAGE DEFENSE by frozenfire92 2022-04-05T22:26:38Z

I never got a cabbage :,( only wheat. I couldn't figure out how to get a cabbage. Or maybe I didn't play long enough. Cute game, though! I always like games that involve growing stuff.

I Refuse to Hibernate! by Rose 2022-04-08T14:22:43Z

Very fun and cute puzzle game with lovely art hibernateGame.png I don't usually like puzzle games but I retried this one a couple times.

My happy weedy farm by Marin0104 2022-04-05T15:16:31Z

Very cute looking little game. Drew me in right away from the pleasant graphics (and as someone who likes farming sims!) but I couldn't really figure out how to play, even after reading the instructions several times and trying different ways. It felt like I had very little control over what action my player took, if they would water weeds or cut them or plant something. Really nice work, though!

Pass The Torch by Dan Smith 2022-04-21T02:47:31Z

beautiful art and the music fit the mood perfectly. Incredible tone and atmosphere, but not a big fan of exposition dump at the beginning and I felt the mechanics could be more fun. I couldn't find anything to do besides walk right, and at a very slow pace, and still having to stop for the others.

Inferno Fox by jkniest 2022-04-06T01:38:05Z

I wish you weren't forced to submit your score every time, as it sort of prevents you from being able to try many times quickly. Fun though :)

Tatertot Towers by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2022-04-06T03:12:10Z

wow super impressive. The art is great, everything just looks awesome, and works really well. I didn't understand what the bones and hide were for, but I really liked the features I did find like building walls and attacking enemies. Everything is super cute and smooth. Amazing work.

22h38 by Katutt 2022-04-05T15:50:27Z

I love how calm and relaxing the end of the world is in your game, haha. There's something so serene about how the world just falls apart. I'm also embarrassed to admit how long it took me to realize that the game wasn't timed, and time passed based on moving from tile to tile. But this was a really beautifully well-made game. I felt like I forgot I was playing a jam game at times, and just lost myself in the experience. I just had an issue where I was using the web version and the answers were covering up the dialogue and coming up pretty quick, which made it hard to read the text sometimes. Overall, amazing work!

Later... by Kizu 2022-04-21T19:00:07Z

hahaha I love mashing my keyboard to write code XD even after doing it a few times it's still funny

Will There Bee Another? by Gabriel Dias Oliveira de Almeida 2022-04-05T14:51:43Z

I love the art style~! And appreciate the LGBT representation ^-^ I do wish there was music and sfx, but I played three times and got that second date! :D

Chicken Dinner by Brusi 2022-04-06T01:53:38Z

Nice work! This was funny and cute. It took me a while to realize the trick to avoiding the farmer was to change directions a lot. But I made it in the end! Till the last day.. ChickenGame.png

Ydunian Prune by MateusBoga 2022-04-21T01:28:26Z

when it gets going really fast, it's a bit painful to look at all the fruit and numbers like that. But the art is nice, especially that tile set for the tree. Really nice work!

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-06T16:57:36Z

awesome idea and extremely well executed. I love this!

Merge Getaway by glitchman 2022-04-05T19:33:53Z

Fun idea with trying to like, blend into the cars. We also did a car chase with police for our entry, actually! Very different execution, though. Your game is very fun! At first I felt the controls are a little too sensitive, but now I think I was just playing wrong, trying to evade police instead of boost.

Comet by EduSilva 2022-04-05T15:04:18Z

beautiful graphics, cohesion between art, music and mechanics, and a fun game to play! Nice work!

Rising wind Island by ShivArt 2022-04-06T02:52:24Z

Really cool game. I like resource management, the nice pixel graphics, the cute scene on this flying town... But I couldn't find a way to remove citizens, so I couldn't get a flying miner. At least, my people were safe and we had enough food to keep ourselves flying high, but I couldn't add the flying miner.

Caravan to Empire by Hadryel 2022-04-07T16:55:40Z

Very neat mix between snake and colony management. Love the mashup. I didn't totally understand the quests, and at some point new things stopped spawning on screen, but I enjoyed it! Nice work!

The Last Savior by JustusPan 2022-04-21T19:47:20Z

the different attacks and their ranges feel pretty good, and the color coded mechanic works great, but I didn't like the mapping of the attack keys.

Estrella by Xiris 2022-04-08T17:58:27Z

Nicely polished and has a good overall look/feel. I'm surprised, honestly, to see so much love for typing games in the comments. I can't say I find the gameplay very fun.. But maybe that's just because I'm bad at it. I do think it's cute how the game offers astronomy concepts to learn about. That's a nice touch.

Just Five More Minutes... by Rainsong 2022-04-20T22:03:52Z

congrats on submitting your game :) it has a cute look and feel to it!

The Endless Night by Arivenzys 2022-04-14T01:53:58Z

Awesome art and excellent polish. I wish the game over screen would tell me why I lost, though, because it can be a lot to keep track of.

Click to Continue by Daniel Foutz 2022-04-21T01:51:14Z

I love when people voice act for their jam games, and this is really high quality :)

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-14T01:46:42Z

Really nice how it tracks your previous runs and gives the player more incentive to try again.

Cat in the Bag by JoshH 2022-04-14T02:03:25Z

Funny game but I wish there was a way to skip the parts I've already passed before so I would want to retry more.

Highrail to hell by BadPiggy 2022-04-14T02:10:39Z

I'm bad at this game but it's still an impressive entry! Nice work.

Tactical Ghosts: The Impification by SnowyCocoon 2022-04-21T00:59:35Z

nice smooth overall look. Even without the tutorial, it's not too difficult to figure out the rules.

Extreme Plant Sitter by suvi 2022-04-14T02:44:03Z

The link appears to be broken right now :( I can't play. Trying on chrome and it loads a blank page that says "error with your request"

Extreme Plant Sitter by suvi 2022-04-14T16:17:35Z

@suvi yesterday I could still click on other links, but anyhow it seems to be working now! Will play and rate :)

Extreme Plant Sitter by suvi 2022-04-14T16:27:21Z

silly, fun, and well polished. The spinning on the objects was a little extreme, and their lack of mass, which made the game more difficult, but also was pretty funny.

Dino live! by ElectricStalin 2022-04-08T14:29:49Z

The intro cut scene didn't play for me, and I pretty quickly got stuck because a meteor up ahead created a crater I couldn't jump over. Still, bonus point for destructible environment, as that's pretty neat. The art and the music for this are nice, but I also wish my character didn't stick to all the geometry. You can fix this by adding a material with no friction to your player.

Cringe in Space by Glimmer 2022-04-06T01:26:23Z

may be a joke, but still fun to play :)

STAY by etrealjunior 2022-04-21T01:38:02Z

Ha I love how the guys at the end just float away after you kill them. The last level was definitely my favorite. Having it sway like that really gave it a unique feel. I wish you could hold jump down and jump farther, though, for the first level.

Don't Stop The Party by SilverlyBee 2022-04-06T01:15:43Z

this was fun! discovering the moves and then having more options each time when the board gets really full is an interesting way to pace the game and let the player improve each time. Nice work!

Department Of Demise by Crychair 2022-04-07T00:47:43Z

Amazingly polished with gorgeous art, excellent music, and entertaining voice-overs. Unfortunately, I too ran into the bug where I couldn't drag the dongle. Maybe it's just a browser issue. Really impressive entry!

The Assessment by Okamit 2022-04-14T02:20:47Z

Impressive variety with extreme polish. Maybe I just didn't get far enough, but I feel like there could have been fewer minigames with a bit more time spent in each one. They feel so short.

PopCat Hoover Disaster by OrangeDragon 2022-04-06T23:48:32Z

Funny game~ I love when people add voiced lines to their games like you put in your song. Adds a lot of personality.

Catocalypse by Neshtyak 2022-04-06T02:40:43Z

I love how you have a cutscene at the beginning, and a nice screen for the controls. It was a little difficult to use the powers I wanted and sometimes I was confused why things didn't work, but it was very cute and kept me playing, anyway.

Cup Half Full by BangTheWall 2022-04-14T02:35:22Z

Super fun, awesome that you included a leaderboard. Rage inducing, too. But fun.

Gladiatorus by Pepper Boi 2022-04-05T20:49:11Z

Nice work! The stabbing felt really nice. That came out sounding weird, but I just mean, it feels responsive and fast and fun XD

Giraffe o'Clock by Kepsert 2022-04-15T04:27:25Z

wow this is amazing, especially for a jam game. So polished, and plenty of content. Grabbing ledges with your face might have been my favorite part XD

Jailbound Joyride by AmberFall92 2022-04-21T15:45:35Z

@kepsert holy cow!! That is a very impressive score! It's more than double my highest score in this version. I hope you'll try out our post-jam version when it's ready, and tell us what you think about our changes ^-^

Jailbound Joyride by AmberFall92 2022-04-21T16:01:05Z

@kepsert WHAAAAAAT? My jaw just dropped XD oh my gosh. That is outrageous. Well, I'm happy at least to announce to you that in our newer version, the game would not crash because it uses object pooling for the cops and platforms. But woooow! You reached, essentially the end of our jam game XD it wasn't supposed to have an end, but such is the way when we don't pool our objects. Very impressive run!! I wish I had a title to give you for that high a score.

B-Game by squaxcom 2022-04-05T20:36:11Z

Very cute game! I like the pixel art graphics and the nice sounds, but I couldn't figure out where to go. Maybe I missed it, but a way to know if you're heading in the direction of flowers, or if there is danger close by, would be really helpful.

Void Prison by Tadas Migauskas 2022-04-08T18:04:46Z

super fun. Great feel and solid polish. An excellent game that would be worth expanding post-jam.

Dungeon Crawl by jzucc12 2022-04-05T19:18:09Z

It was fun to choose between the different paths and options. Felt like there were a lot of different ones. I don't think I played very well, though.

Earth's Last Stand by Junklab 2022-04-07T00:18:58Z

fun game! Those are some vindictive asteroids. They don't just fly randomly across the screen, they come FOR YOU!

plant. by badcop 2022-04-07T16:34:56Z

I love how relaxing it is to watch the plant grow. Is there a trick to making it last longer? I tried timing my cuts, and cutting away dead parts, but I couldn't tell if I was actually making it last longer. Really cool compo entry :) nice work! I love games with growing stuff, and the audio was really nice too.

Venting Machine by EmberUshi 2022-04-14T02:07:09Z

I came here to check if my score of 75m was good or not..... I shouldn't have checked. xD

The Gallows by Burn Tree 2022-04-07T00:02:21Z

really great sense of mood with the art and music. Feels very evocative, but I had a hard time understanding what to do next, and sort of felt like I was just clicking around until things changed.

Impending Doom by Castitatis 2022-04-04T00:40:39Z

Awesome game~ the art looks great, the explosions are satisfying, and it's really impressive work for such a short time!

Snowcastle Meltdown by Noiyy 2022-04-05T20:28:13Z

nice game! I got trapped LDBug.png but I thought I was doing pretty well till then XD

Life Finds a Way by Mopifish 2022-04-21T02:29:41Z

nice variety of tools and the art looks nice. I also really liked your little talking face and sound for the demon thing that gives instructions. Bonus points for including a tutorial.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

ROAD TXTR by congusbongus 2022-10-04T19:53:03Z

really fun, cute graphics, bouncy music, and humorous. Love it. Excellent jam entry. I had the added difficulty of also trying to answer questions from my SO while playing, while reading the texts and trying to choose the right answer, while driving xD 10/10 multitask simulator.

Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties by RalfZ 2022-10-05T00:26:02Z

simple but cute and nicely polished for what is there. As others have said, cat sprite variation would have been awesome, and yes the kittens do seem to have an endless capacity for food, but an easy to understand and navigate jam game with a nice cohesive look is a good accomplishment :) nice work.

☕️ OverBrewed ! by Tyrannas 2022-10-04T19:42:24Z

I love the rain dripping down the windows! plus the ambient noise of it creates just such a nice mood. I'm glad you decided not to include timers for customers, or having them storm out (they didn't even get mad at me for giving the wrong drink. Just waited for the right one.) because that would have ruined the chill mood you created in this game. The art is great and the music/sfx all fit together really nicely. What a cozy entry! Great work.

Avery, 10 seconds! by winniehell 2022-10-04T18:58:06Z

Like others have said, the controls are a little tricky and the game feels pretty punishing. Not that you can't have hard games, but maybe start with something more approachable so that most people will be able to play a couple levels, but then the difficulty really ramps up. Nice work though. The player is very cute.

10 second base by Stratcat66 2022-10-04T18:46:14Z

It took me quite a few tries before I got the hang of it, but it's a very good game :) The first time, I couldn't figure out my character was that blue diamond and i couldn't figure out how to move, so I just kept trying to build stuff without understanding how to get the resources to do it. But eventually figured it out and was able to make a strong little base for myself. Once you have your defenses established, it does get too easy, but that comes with a small feeling of mastery and efficiency. Nice work!

Snail Garbaggio by Gossian 2022-10-04T18:15:44Z

Cute look, but could use a challenge for the player, like the food maybe being swept across the screen or even despawning after a while, or becoming rotten, so the player needs to try and get it as quickly as they can.

Delivery Rush by Georgy16 2022-10-04T20:19:50Z

really nice environment and a fun idea, but the controls were a little frustrating. I could never get those black boxes packed. They would just float above the open shipping box. For a bit I thought I was missing some control for depth. But it looks very nice and is still fun to play.

FocuSlash by ThatANoNoWord 2022-10-04T20:04:00Z

the slash attack effect is cool~ and the game is fun. Nice work!

Area 51: Bunny Sanctuary by AmberFall92 2022-10-04T18:51:00Z

@artofluba and @stefan0198 sorry you couldn't access the game- I made the itch version private for now (and forgot to take the link off here). But you can still play the embedded version here on this page if you're interested :)

Area 51: Bunny Sanctuary by AmberFall92 2022-10-04T20:06:11Z

@stefan0198 thanks for giving it another shot :) yeah, the game did end up pretty hard x) kept saying I needed this and that feature in to be able to balance... and then it was the deadline xD haha. But thanks for checking it out!

Area 51: Bunny Sanctuary by AmberFall92 2022-10-05T15:35:49Z

@artofluba aww thank you so much! that is very high praise ^-^ I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing! loved your submission too btw :)

3 minutes in hell by Castitatis 2022-10-08T18:05:20Z

Amazing compo entry! Still can't believe you pulled this all off alone in 48 hours x) the sprites are clean and I like how chonky the little demon guys are. The gun blends in with the background a bit but I didn't have trouble seeing it during gameplay. The game is hard but I think the levels are well designed. Awesome work~! Looking forward to seeing more of your entries in the future :)

Lock Up by CarrotVan 2022-10-04T18:08:16Z

I think the somewhat abstracted art works well for this, and creates an interesting mood with the typewriter noises. Nice work.

Descender by salamandur 2022-10-05T00:32:12Z

nice ambiance with the sound of the bubbles and the chill music.

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-04T19:24:21Z

great entry :) fun music and vibe, cute and silly, with challenging gameplay.

LD54 — Limited Space

Harvest Saturn by Taldius 2023-10-04T00:48:24Z

I like how you handled that picking up aliens. Seeing that space open up and dragging the aliens into the bag felt really clean and looked great.

Rude Bear Rollout by alexrose 2023-10-05T01:43:19Z

Really enjoyed the intro cutscene, and the liquid bear was just hilarious. Just a really enjoyable entry to play. Great work!

Tetranome by Random-storykeeper 2023-10-06T01:47:33Z

Pretty fun~ I enjoy these twists on tetris. But I struggled with the controls. I would have liked to have arrow keys and spacebar as an option. Nicely polished though and has a good cohesive look :) nice job

MIROH by Wendel Scardua 2023-10-05T03:00:20Z

Super fun game. I really enjoyed it and the level of polish was great too. Awesome work!

Villaggio by jvolonte 2023-10-04T03:27:48Z

fun and relaxing game :) took me a little bit to figure out what's going on, but once I did, I played for a long time. It was really nice! The sounds were pleasant and art was good too. Clean and well polished. Nice work!

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-04T00:56:51Z

super cute and fun to play but I kept having it bug out and the hand would disappear after 2-3 candies :( which is too bad because I like playing around with physics like this and it looks really nice.

Introvertigo by Scott Steffes 2023-10-03T04:00:59Z

Wow this is outrageously cool. The gorgeous art, funky palette, intense mood, and comic tone of it all combined to make a truly memorable experience. Also, great call with adding the required words to guide players and give a jumping off point. 5/5

Guaxinim's Antiques, Rarities & Knick-knacks by ThomasTournoys 2023-10-05T03:54:08Z

nice art and atmosphere :) really cute submission and it was fun to see the new items that would come up. But I didn't understand why time to go back to the store took me back to the main menu. I felt like I pressed the wrong thing.

V-SHRINK by Zliebowitz 2023-10-04T01:12:10Z

I had a hard time controlling the directions of my kicks, but I Think that might just be because I wasn't using a controller. I might come back to this to try with controller because the mechanics are pretty cool. Having to watch out for those guys that cut off your screen, and not doing damage but having to push the enemies into the edges, while also trying to reach the edges, was all pretty well thought out and executed.

Rafty Crab by kuviman 2023-10-04T01:46:07Z

Super fun. So glad I got to play it while a streamer was showing it so I could play with so many people :) great work! Really cool and a genuinely good time. Polished and pleasant to look at and listen to. Just a great entry all around.

Age of TinyVillage by Halvardo13 2023-10-06T02:08:55Z

Nice builder with cohesive cute graphics and peaceful vibe :)

The Giant's Globe by Jvdwijk 2023-10-03T02:44:36Z

Gorgeous thumbnail. Pulled me right in! I'm not very good at platformers though, so I struggled a bit with the levels.

Boo! Bark! by Doot 2023-10-06T22:04:28Z

So cute! Pretty graphics all worked really well together. Plus this is a compo entry! Impressive.

Shop 'n Block by Franci 2023-10-07T03:22:21Z

I wasn't sure why my star rating is going down or what I needed to do. Was there audio? I couldn't hear it if there was :( but the art was really cute and it's a nice game.

Critical Core by Benjamin Halko 2023-10-05T03:33:03Z

this game is AMAZING! oh my god I could not pull myself away. It was just so fun. From the music to the bouncing neon colors and perfectly balanced gameplay... It was just so much fun to play! I really appreciated things like how you have to move to start the level, and how it reminds you if you sometimes forget and just stare at the screen.. hehh.. But it was so good! Easy to learn, hard to master, snappy and polished and just fantastic. You rock!

SlimeTastic! by Alpha Wolf Studios 2023-10-03T02:49:38Z

I couldn't figure out the controls :( how do you move stuff? I started just running my hand across the whole keyboard and pressed all the mouse buttons but nothing was having an effect.

Loot Goblin by Gustavokado 2023-10-07T03:39:34Z

The goblin is super cute and the art was nice all around but I had a hard time with aiming the stuff I was throwing. I felt like it was always either bouncing off the wall or falling short of where I wanted it. I would have liked at least to have a reset level button for when I dropped something in the wrong place. There were a couple times also when items overlapped each other. But overall it was fun to play and toss the items down. Interesting mechanics too with the flammable items and the breakable items.

Wizard n' Slims by rickylee 2023-10-07T01:23:56Z

Really nice cohesive visual look and good polish. I liked the effects like when you shoot the missile and it swirls around. Colors are fun and arcade-y, too. I played for a while without noticing that you can upgrade stuff on the right.

Shattered Spirits by Tobius 2023-10-07T03:06:32Z

Absolutely gorgeous game. Also, holy cow those character designs! Really nice. You can tell lots of love went into it and it feels really good to play. Incredible work. Feels like there's a lot of strategy in picking a team and responding to enemy teams.

Pixel Piles by Gabriel Chan 2023-10-07T02:25:13Z

I love the spin when the cat jumps! So cute! I was so bad at this game but I tried a lot. I managed to get marginally better. Which is still really bad. The one thing I really wish was that there was a more obvious countdown for when the block is going to start falling. I felt like I'd try to line it up and be surprised when it started falling before I was ready. Anyway I had a lot of fun playing. It looks lovely, it's polished, the cat is so freakin cute, and definitely easy to learn and hard to master.

Outland Escape by Spike Studio 2023-10-06T22:16:56Z

Wow, you got a lot of content in here! Between leveling up, dragging your haul behind you, upgrading your car, and fighting zombies... One touch I really liked was how after hitting a zombie, you track blood around for a little bit. Really nice!

Suck it to Them! by AmberFall92 2023-10-11T13:11:06Z

@ategon we would be honored to have you play our game during your intermission! :D thanks so much for playing it before and for posting the video here, too. Looking forward to watching the score chasers tournament~

The Purraformer by froissant 2023-10-07T02:05:25Z

I really tried but I could not for the life of me figure out how to make the forest or windmill :< I thought I wen through every combination on the map. Anyway, it was a nice and sweet game. I really like these kind of combination discovery games. It was exciting to see new stuff appear on the world, and for it to get full of all these adorable tiles. I was honestly sad I couldn't look up a wiki to get a hint on the wood combo so I could try to finish the rest haha.

Card Hexchange by Arnazian 2023-10-06T00:16:21Z

This was really fun and I got excited when I got to the boss. Up till then, (and after) I sort of felt that the balance was weird and I would get easy rounds late in the game. But it was exciting to reach the boss, because just when I thought I kind of saw it all, I encountered this large awesomely drawn reaper. The look was very good and so was the atmosphere. But I felt like dragging the cards was a bit clunky. I would have preferred to just click them because it felt weird to drag it up and then have to aim again up at the enemy I wanted to select. I think it either needed to drag to the target and select that target, or be a click. I also wished I could throw out cards instead of being forced to replace one. All that said, I played this game for a good while. Really nice work! Genuinely fun and good looking game.

GOD DOES NOT PLAY DICE by Yuio 2023-10-04T02:17:40Z

I had a hard time understanding the consequences of different things, but it's an interesting concept. I agree with the person who said it would be helpful to see the effect per second in green or red or something near the number

Orbit by Ekke 2023-10-05T21:54:52Z

LOL I love the guy who yells at you when you've lost too many rockets. This was really fun and chill to play. Cool idea with smooth execution. I kinda wished the satellites will explode if they crash into each other, but short of that I thought everything was highly polished.

Gacha Fever by Falestress 2023-10-04T00:02:32Z

I loved the gacha theme and the art was really nice. Was fun to watch all the new effects as I got new weapons, too. Eventually the game just sort of played itself and I could just stand in damage and heal enough from the life drain, though. I also wasn't sure what actually controls when the level ends.

Unsquished by RogerW 2023-10-03T23:31:24Z

Nice polished look with that retro monitor effect. Switching up to the stratosphere was also very satisfying :) I gave this one a few plays and really enjoyed it. Nice work!

Out of Space by aznoqmous 2023-10-05T02:15:05Z

Nice and unique look and I loved seeing the little dialogue box with the alien sounds. The sounds overall were really good and the art was super nice too. To be honest, I found the mechanic a bit stressful clicking around trying to send my spaceships, and I was often not sending the amount I intended to, or landed my people somewhere I didn't want to. But it looked so good and was so polished that I still really enjoyed playing. Impressive work!

Bloomlight by pipiMa 2023-10-04T00:09:29Z

I can't see the game in your link :(

InvenStory by pro4 2023-10-03T02:03:12Z

Beautiful pixel art! Phenomenal job with the setting and items. It was so funny when the guy came back all beat up because I didn't realize I needed to give him as many potions as he could fit, not just the required minimum. Nice job!

Spacekeep by the Kickin' Big Phroggy Shovel Toasty Malone Dogs by kickball 2023-10-04T01:59:42Z

I like the pixel art and the trails when you move the ship. But I wish there was more feedback when you hit enemies. I also would have liked indicators to show me where there are the closest resources, and to have the ship move faster. Having to drag the items was a bit tedious as well, and I would have preferred to have an ability to move all the items from the world to my inventory and from my inventory to the ship. But the look is really nice.

BedSpace by nicolanore 2023-10-07T01:19:35Z

LOL I absolutely love your interpretation of the theme. This was very funny and enjoyable to play. The silly sound effects added a lot too. I had fun playing but found it sort of difficult to control the body the way I meant to. Still, really great submission!

Tiny Houses by Ethan G 2023-10-03T02:15:41Z

Wow!It is amazing how well your detection works for placing things. I was constantly impressed with how well the decorating worked. Fun idea to make the furniture pieces random. It really kept things interesting as I was excited to see what might come out next.

Before The Trip by Nilan 2023-10-07T03:15:07Z

cute art and it was fun to discover that things like flip flops stack.

Super Amazing Lighthouse Repair Crew by jusentari 2023-10-03T01:40:46Z

It took me a little while to figure out the mechanic, but once I did, I was impressed! There are lots of different tower types to discover, and I enjoyed putting them together and amassing my army. I also think it has a nice visual look.

Acid! by FudgeGoneWild 2023-10-07T03:51:10Z

Enjoyed all the different weapon options and the mechanic with the acid the monsters leave behind. It was fun to play but I didn't really like how my character kept drifting after I would stop moving. Anyway still played for a good while because it was a good time~ thanks for the game!

Ventory's Inn by Teist 2023-10-05T02:13:04Z

Really beautiful art and I love it when a game has voice acting. It got a bit repetitive though with the same kinds of customers, and there was a weird thing going on with the text where it was showing me tags first like and stuff before writing the number of days and words and such. Still, really nice entry!

Pocket Universe Snake by TheLastSlowpoke 2023-10-04T02:52:59Z

I felt like there was some delay between me pressing the arrow key and the ekans turning which made controlling it pretty frustrating. But I like the concept of you wrapping around the world. Neat twist on snake.

LD55 — Summoning

Emperor's Gems by Togis 2024-04-20T19:52:27Z

I didn't realize at first that the big gray chunks on the road are also mana crystals. for some reason I thought they were regular rocks. The art is so cute. I love looking at the little summons carrying the chariot. Overall, pretty fun and I tried a few times but didn't manage to deliver the taxes in time x) I'm not very good. Maybe this time knowing the gray ones give mana too, I'll do better.

Also wanted to say thanks so much for playing my game on stream. It's cool to watch your different play styles :)

Dicey Demons by UkuleleFury 2024-04-20T16:40:45Z

I really like the character designs, especially the final boss. Holding out the dice and throwing them looks so good and clean, and there was a good amount of polish. The music is also fun and energetic. Really good work all around. My one complaint is that it felt like it didn't matter that much what order I summoned my dice. I think it's so close to being a super fun game, but I mostly experienced the gambling at the start when you pick your dice, but then I wished there was more strategy to the order and choice of summons against your opponent. Still, really well made! Nice work!

Glyph Tower by YogurtTheHorse 2024-04-16T15:33:41Z

Really well done! Gorgeous art. I love the thumbnail. It took me a short time to realize I could collect the resources from enemies, and I occasionally felt that my shape was misunderstood, or I expected to deal damage to some enemies and didn't. But it was really exciting when I understood how to get resources and started memorizing shapes. The other thing it took me a bit to figure out was where I could see my resources. But this was a lot of fun! Really nice work. It has a smart design and I can definitely see playing for a long time to get good.

Salmoning by kuviman 2024-04-16T22:18:17Z

WOW! I love that you made an entire radio station in your game. I had to keep delivering just to make sure I heard it all. And that there's a billboard in swimtop city for the radio station explaining how to open it.. Just fantastic!! I love it. Really enjoyed the art, too. Those are some pretty anemones! Swimtop city seems beautiful, except it has some seriously aggressive drivers. A salmon is just trying to make a living here, man.

Summon The Waiter by PromZona 2024-04-20T16:10:00Z

oh my goodness, that is not a gentle spin! haha xD the cat went totally haywire spinning in mine. I just had to play this game because the title was immediately my favorite interpretation of the theme. Just super funny. I love that you include the cutscene at the beginning, too. That said, the gameplay itself is not all that fun, because it's hard to tell where you're going to throw the furniture, and there's no incentive to do it "well." This could have almost been a sort of puzzle game, if you were incentivized to get multiple furniture breaks with one throw and in that way, get a better "score." The score could be how quickly you summoned the waitress, for example. Then there can be competing drives to both break as much stuff with one throw (accuracy) and also to throw things quickly to break enough stuff to summon the waitress (urgency). Just some thoughts :) thanks for making this game with the very funny interpretation of the theme!

Make New Friends by Benjamin Halko 2024-04-20T16:56:29Z

Glad to see you in another LD :) I loved your submission last year. This one again has a banger track and a good bit of polish. Love games with leaderboards. Also I thought the space-spinning effect is really cool as the friends come flying into orbit. But because the music was so banger, and the friends flew in almost rhythmically, I kept feeling compelled to press the arrow key at the same time that the friend enters the < >. But when I would do that, I'd miss. It would be too late. So I knew I needed to press it sooner, but that bit was a little unintuitive for me.

Demon Chalk by AmberFall92 2024-04-16T15:39:03Z

Yeah, Casti! I am so happy to see my goblin babies shine. During our playtesting, it was the mushroom build we thought would be most OP. But definitely looks like we have a bit of balancing work to do. I'm still waiting to see someone post a shroom-filled screen :D

Demon Chalk by AmberFall92 2024-04-16T16:53:00Z

wow @domenixius thank you so much for your kind feedback! We ran into a whole bunch of bugs on the last day, without enough time to fix them all, but I'm so glad you were still able to enjoy our game.

Hellish Military Service by Anton4ik-dev 2024-04-16T02:48:38Z

Cute art assets. I like the little passports and the circles of hell sheet. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand how to play. It took me a minute to figure out how to summon the demons, but even when I did, I couldn't figure out what the choices meant, or how to decide.

Poizon Pets by LeiGGaRFeeD 2024-04-20T17:46:03Z

Neat to discover the different types of summons. the designs were great. It would have been nice to establish some rules though, like, if all recipes take 3 ingredients. It's possible to put as many ingredients as you want, which creates too many possibilities to try to get through them all.

PolyMancer by MarkAis 2024-04-20T17:37:01Z

Really impressive. The most original and creative enemy design I have seen. Amazing idea! I wish there was bgm to fit, and I felt like it was really hard to draw squares. They were often interpreted as circles. But incredible entry.

Remnant Revival by subzerofusion 2024-04-16T16:01:30Z

I love how you included a tutorial and way to skip it when doing repeat playthroughs. The tutorial was funny, too. I did get confused about raising the spikes at first. I tried clicking that button a few times, and it didn't seem to do anything. Later I dropped an item on it, and the spikes were raised as long as the item was resting on it. So now I thought you had to place items on the button to weigh it down in order to use it. Took me a bit to realize you need to hold the button down. With the items having collision like this, I ran into some problems because they were pushing each other off the summoning tiles, and also pressing the forfeit button constantly. When I would go to take items from my bag to place them on the circle, they would collide with other items in the bag, knock them into the forfeit button, and everything would flash and alarm. Then I'd drag them into the circle and they'd knock my other summoning items off their places. I would have liked it better if items didn't collide with each other or buttons. But I did give it another shot once I understood the mechanics better. I do love some tower defense :)

Temptation Summoner's Aprendice by Baluj 2024-04-16T23:53:33Z

Agree with others that it's fun watching the little units bounce around. The vibe with the music is fun. I couldn't really figure out the impact the temptations were doing, though. When I lost, or the game ended, I wasn't sure why that happened, either. And I couldn't figure out what the little jail number in the top right was.

SAKURA by ZekySky 2024-04-16T17:21:24Z

@cgraen I also didn't understand how to start the game at first, but it's because you have to place the cards to be able to press start. I'm not sure why you need to do this, because there are 5 slots and you have 5 cards. Maybe at some point you can buy new cards, but I didn't see that option. I did upgrade the cards I had, which was a neat feature. It would have been really nice though if there was some animation or text or something to better explain what happens in the fight. I feel like I need to look at our hands after to even know who won, who died, etc.

666 by Matheus Leite 2024-04-16T22:52:40Z

Really like the pixel art. LOL'd hard at the animation at the end when you lose. Simple but fun mechanic with amusing SFX. Nice work! Also I got this score on my first run XD 666game.png

No Tea Time for Slimes by HermitGamesmiths 2024-04-17T00:01:59Z

1/10, could not swallow the wizard. Just kidding xD I love the intro comic thing. So cute. Let slime have his tea! And then that wizard has the nerve to stand there with tea. Also, I love the animation for the slime swallowing the stone, and how you then see the stone in the slime. Music was good, and sfx too.

Flickering Hope by Domenixius 2024-04-16T17:09:45Z

I like the flying glowing eyeball things. And it was interesting to explore with the small light that's going out the whole time. It was helpful that the text could be seen from a distance so you knew roughly where to go.

Child of Ruin by Rick Williams 2024-04-16T02:27:37Z

I wish I could see my player under the trees. It was hard to tell where I was going. I feel like tilting the camera would help with this, too.

DURO by Fenix131113 2024-04-16T23:42:08Z

Nice peaceful BGM and interesting to watch the elements affect the map. I like how you included a room to test the units in. Still, I found myself unsure at times what the range would be on certain units. It would have been helpful if there were a way to see each unit's range before placing it on a level.

A Following Wind by digitaliliad 2024-04-16T22:43:46Z

Very solid first entry, and to the compo, too! Impressive how good the wind looks, and the tuning, too. I really felt like I could save ships that were on the brink of hitting something. Then considering the impact on all the other ships was very interesting. Really cool mechanic. Nice work!

Celestial Summoner by mollusk 2024-04-16T03:34:45Z

fun neon colors and I like the bgm. What are those rats doing in space? Haha but yeah this was fun :) I was able to walk off screen though, and enemies chased me down there.

No Heroes Belong Here by Shasaur 2024-04-20T17:14:54Z

I crashed the game eventually crashedCardGame.png but it was a neat concept and I like the pixel art. I wasn't too sure what the differences were with the monsters I placed and what the different color hearts and such meant on the hero. Also it felt like my only choice was where to place the monster, because I got one card per turn. I think it would have been really fun if maybe you drew 2 cards per turn but could only place one. And maybe if it mattered what class of hero and what types of enemies you place.

LD57 — Depths

Dwarvenshaft by MateusBoga 2025-04-09T02:15:32Z

really smooth how you can set the dwarfs to auto collect but still click on ores you want and have them prioritize those and then continue on auto. Feels nicely polished. I like the variety of dwarves, too. Wish I could pan the camera with WASD as well as mouse being near edge though

Deep Pursuit by Andreas Roschal 2025-04-08T02:28:46Z

This is the kind of game I love finding when playing jam games! What a perfect take on the theme, and so funny! Excellent game. I had some stuttering with the hand when too close to the edges, but really enjoyed playing this. Amazing work!

Piranha Frenzy by mremmele 2025-04-12T18:13:02Z

fun game~! I kinda wish the projectiles would hurt the swordfish and that maybe green projectiles could hurt jellyfish because it would give more to do than just dodging. You could then intentionally kite projectiles in the direction of other enemies to clear space for yourself.

Spring Drill by TopperVideoGames 2025-04-08T02:06:32Z

Creative idea! I struggled with it at first but managed to beat a lvl after a little while.

Painball by AmberFall92 2025-04-09T02:37:47Z

@titos2k thanks so much for playing! If you hold space, it will slow down time by the way :) but not the most intuitive controls. I agree that having to use the keyboard and mouse to to control the different things in such a fast paced game was not ideal

Helldriver 2 by oxnh 2025-04-08T01:52:56Z

Hey we picked the same environment :D I love that you have voiceovers in your game! And it's nice how you have foreground structures that move in front of the background. The music was great, too. I do think the game should end when your pizza runs out of slices, because otherwise it's not great to have to finish the drive knowing my pizza is no good. But enjoyed the great atmosphere in this game!

The Abyssal Trenches by redemptor 2025-04-09T02:35:22Z

I like how you can hide from the squids in the corals. There's a nice atmosphere and feel of danger as you uncover these big monsters in your light, swim back to the corals and watch them slowly creep past. I wish there was some BGM though!

Too Fishy by Jo Bettaque 2025-04-08T02:42:55Z

Really beautiful environment! I struggled with the controls a bit. Might just be because of the lag of the embedded version but I think also maybe the sub should glide a bit after you hold wasd to keep moving a bit in the water. Also it was a bit tedious to have to keep coming all the way up and down. But it was neat discovering the new kinds of fish further down. and nice and ominous when it gets darker down there. Reminds me of Dave the Diver

You Are the End by AgrMayank 2025-04-12T18:06:00Z

How do you summon the king to help fight? I started the game by spawning the only guys I could spawn, but they seem to do very little damage to the enemies. Their fights are taking a long time and after a while I wasn't allowed to spawn more people but new waves kept coming so they were all able to go past my guys. Then I'm left just watching this very slow fight between the guys I have and the enemies. I feel like I'm not playing right because I'm not getting cards to choose from or turning into a platformer and I ran out of things I can do as the player very quickly.

The art looks great, the intro is strong, and the BGM is good too, so I feel like I'm either hitting some kind of bug or missing a mechanic. I scrolled on the page to see if I could find some other controls for summoning the king or doing something to help in the fight but couldn't find it. Anyway let me know if I missed something (I made it up to wave 4 but then stopped because I couldn't figure out anything to do and new enemies were just walking past my army) but if you let me know I missed the way to play I'll definitely give it another shot!

Ciggy by kenevil1 2025-04-08T02:19:49Z

The demons remind me of Daleks :D that was a lot of fun to play! I had a bit of performance issues but I still tried a bunch. Great work!

The Magical Abyss by AxolotlUwU 2025-04-09T02:28:06Z

I like the atmospheric effects like the leaves blowing by and the light making you cast a shadow in the dungeons. For the combat, I think it would help if the player made a noise and maybe flashed or something when taking damage. It's hard to tell what an enemy does to damage me. if it's from touching or if they are unleashing attacks like I am.

Are you smarter than a fisherman? by Gerswick 2025-04-11T03:53:26Z

Tricky game. I couldn't figure out the differences myself so I ended up reading in how to play. I appreciate that those hints are there with the spoiler warning!

Shrimply Fishing by ACarr 2025-04-09T02:46:09Z

I like how there's unique lines for the different fish. Also the variety is fun. Interesting mechanic too with having an angle and power combined to determine where the bobber falls. Definitely a neat game! It feels like I'm starting over each time I want to catch a new fish though, even when I succeeded at catching the last one. I kinda wish if I didn't break my line, that I'd get points for each catch and add them up. This game would have rocked with a leaderboard and mechanic to get points for rarer fish :)

Debt Miner by fungus mundus 2025-04-08T02:15:23Z

I love games where you dig for treasure :) I couldn't figure out how much I owe or how to pay back my debt. I feel like there's a good puzzle somewhere in here to maximize use of digs/blasts per day to pay the debt back in time, or before interest rises on it or something. But I couldn't quite figure out what's pressuring me to get as much done per day as possible.

To The Core by izzqz 2025-04-08T01:59:43Z

I love the coral reef bg. The corals are so pretty! I honestly wished there was more of that environment. Would definitely port well to mobile. And neat that you got different skins in there! I wish there was BGM though
