I love the screen sizing effects too! Very well made!
I enjoyed my time with your game! The pixel art style is incredibly pretty!
:earth_americas: Cool concept! Game fits the theme 100%.
:construction_site: Great graphics and gameplay, original use of the theme!
Probably one of the most interesting games I’ve played at this LD! Great mechanics, just amazing :shield: Really awesome!
Love the artwork! :art: Overall great job!
Very nice! I like it! :star:
*The inputs are misplaced on non-QWERTY keyboards.
:stars: The art is cute and colorful which really suits the game! Well done!
:star: Hey, this is a very well made game! A bit hard in my opinion.

@sentmoraap Non-QWERTY layout support will be added with the post-compo version of the game. Thanks!
Thank you all!
@viater @tattomoosa @tuism @andy-d @gwinnell I know that the AI is not very smart :o: Nevertheless, I already have some ideas on how to greatly improve it and will try to implement them with the post-COMPO version of the game.
@jupiter-hadley :star: Thank you!! Always fun to watch someone play what you spend so much effort on!
@ursagames @icxon @andreymust19 @paulhocker @suchista Thank you so much!! :cool:
Need some polish - movement is sluggish and glitchy. Overall good game!
The idea is very good! It's "Tiny P.T."
:white_circle: Good idea! I really like the polished graphics. Also, I would say the difficulty is a bit hard. Good luck!
Nice idea! But.. the game should be more challenging!
Good luck! My fav enemy:

A very interesting concept.
I love pixel art!))) Like this:

Great concept! I like how you adopted mechanics of lazer-mirror reflections for your game.
Deepest: -292.2 👍 Good luck!
Good, very good! Love pixels and humor)))

Wow cool game! Good luck in compo!
Cool screenshot 8))

I like this! The hero has a cool drill!)))

Prepare for battle! ✊ )) Cool game! 2021-04-26_151036.png
I had to play Windows version because WebGL version is unplayable: webgl bug.png
Overall, your game is well-made!
What I like the most: - UI system. It really looks and feels good. Yes!
What I dislike (to be honest): - Your tutorial is hard, it could be better. It took me 10 minutes to understand the main mechanics of the game!
Overall, the game is great! I'm still playing it right now...
After the death - the game is not restarted( PIKO-8 forever!8)
Hi score:

Dont work online and offline!((

I didn't manage to beat the game, but I like the graphics style and how you followed the theme. Great take!

Nice simple graphics and 3D models, good luck in compo!
How did you manage to make such great game?! It's really great!
I like your take and how you adapted the LD theme. The game doesn't lag much, very playable!
Personally, I think you could try to make the movement of the bear with inertia. Then the game will be a bit harder and better (maybe).
Overall, the game is well-made!
Overall not bad! 👍
Great game! 👍 but It's a pity you can't play online(
Gfx style is gorgeous! I like it much. Overall the game looks very polished. Great take, guys!
I like visuals! It looks really neat. I try to play all games without reading instructions to see how they implemented tutorials. Unfortunately, in your game, I had to close it to read the instructions on the LD page.
But, overall, I like the game!
Also, could you please say for what purpose do you put coins outside rooms?
The quality of your game is fantastic! What I like the most: 1. Consistency. Tailspin feels like a complete game. 2. Audio. 3. Drilling mechanics and level design.
To be honest, it was hard for me to understand that I should destroy the first box to enter the dungeon. Then I caught the idea and managed to catch the rat. I like unusual mechanics, but your game is very very hard to beat!
👊 Not bad! 2021-04-26_145423.png
In a moment before death...
2021-04-26_174543.png
Good luck in compo!
Best game ever!! ))) Hi score: 2021-04-26_164247.png
Interesting adventure! Got far, but hit a waterfall and then couldn't get out of the water. It would be nice to add auto-reloading weapons. 2021-04-26_150020.png
Your team has put an enormous amount of work into this game! Well done! :stars:
The only thing I want to blame is the absence of FTUE (first-time user experience). I had to put in a lot of effort to understand how to play your game.
@brotherst The quality of the animation is fantastic! To be honest, I played your game again and again only to see how the characters were animated
> the game was running my GPU (GTX 1070) at 100% constantly and even started causing coil whine, which I’ve never had before on this card…! O.o
@skruffye I'm pretty sure that the author switched "vsync" off.
It's an unexpected interpretation of the theme. Good work!
In my view, you should increase difficulty, i.e. water should pour faster. And it will be cool to see how the little spider tries to achieve the top of the tower :)
Neat retro-styled game with easily understandable mechanics :gun: :boom:
It has some great mystery story potential! And it will be good to have a minimap or a radar
It's impressive what you managed to achieve with the Quake World engine!
Now, about the game: - It's not obvious that the guns have friendly-fire. - So, you have to go for the money and be under fire from your guns. - I would love to have extra upgrades like "money magnet" and so on.
Good game!
@adroitconceptions Thank you for the honest feedback! It is exactly what I am looking for.
> I wish there was a quick restart button so I didn’t have to wait until 5+ seconds for it to reset :(
@juhrjuhr Thank you! Press `R` to quickly restart the game :grinning:
> I like how you get points going in the opposite direction.
It's awesome that you found that it's possible to do!
> Shame I can’t play this (240hz), it looks really fun. > Can’t really play it properly as my display makes the game too fast so the cars feel super springy :(
Oh, I'm really sorry. That's known issue that the game runs too fast on high-frequency displays
I'll fix that, but in the post-Compo version.
@korvack Thank you! Yeah, the police cars have V8 engines under the hood
:police_car: :dash:
**Post-Compo update!**
:new: The game supports mobile UI and touch controls.
Love retro-styled graphics! :paintbrush:
I tried several times and the best I managed to survive was 87 seconds
A small recommendation from me: clouds on the background should also move from the left to the right (for example). Otherwise, they look too static.
* The graphics are incredible! :stars: * The HUD is great. It adds a lot of immersion! * Sometimes it's too hard to control the rover. But, maybe, that's the point
Looks good! Just curious, what software did you use to make those voxel models? Is there the point of killing gnomes? Or they are just trying to stop you :) I tried to kill them all but then I changed my strategy and started running away from them.
**Cool to see a great number of racing games on the LD50!** :race_car: :red_car:
Nice idea, by the way. Can I suggest something? You should add more visual effects like dust, exhaust pipe fire, and so on. The game will be much more alive and visually attractive.
Got 625 points!
Actually, I would like to see a lot more upgrades. Overall, it's a good take on the theme.
PS *It runs well on Windows 10 x64.
PS **Sorry, all that kind of games reminds me Vampire Survivors
I love DOS-era retro graphics! :floppy_disk:
Got the point of the game - you need to use a map to navigate your rover by the shortest path, right? Ah, and your game fits the theme quite well. Overall, good job!
Yeah, it's really not super easy task to keep that family happy!
Overall, the idea of the mechanics is good. You can expand it if you add animations, i.e. the car should move somewhere. Now, it's a bit boring to play after some time (to be honest).
Great looking game! I really like the low-poly graphics.
To be honest, your game could be **greatly** improved if you added more visual effects. I mean enemies should not disappear immediately after their destruction :boom:
Hi! It's awesome to see a lot of racing games on that LD!
At first, I tried the web version of the game. It loaded, but I couldn't control the car. The browser is Chrome 99. So, I tried the Windows version, and it worked well!
To be honest, the physics of the game should be improved. Now, it's hard to control the car :red_car: Plus, AI is a bit stupid. Yes, it is fun to play, but at the same time, the gameplay becomes boring quickly because of the AI.
Overall, you made a great game!
At first, I thought "ah, boring" and tried to close the game. And the game started becoming more interesting after each click on the "close" button! Wow.
A very unusual game. It can be a good-selling game if you expand the story and make it on Steam/Itch :fire:
Hi! Nice take on the theme. It has some great mystery story potential :sunglasses:
