I just spent the past half hour playing this, very nicely done. Its Simple but addicting!
The art is simple and elegant.Maybe it would be more fun if player can choose where to jump :)
In a row, five people did not even get into the mine. Very sad. I would like to not just watch the fall, but at least a little control the flight. Otherwise very cool.
Deepest: -292.2 π Good luck!
@brielley @kasparkram it may be hard to believe but absence of control is a design decision and made on purpose. I wanted to make a game about random ragdoll falling and colliding with obstacles. It's just a fun to watch how body falls in unpredictable way. Having controls over the body will confront with the randomness of the process. Moreover, controls are useless when you can't predict the result of your decisions. And you can't because there a lot of random interactions with obstacles. So I decided to stay it simplest mechanics like slot machine where you only need to pull the lever. Sometimes it makes body fall near the mine - emotions go down. Sometimes you see how body makes a long trip down - emotions goes up. In the summary, you get emotional rollecoaster. That is why I'm satisfied with the game in current scope.
btw, here is the game with similar conception but with controls and challanges https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/katabasis
Had more fun than I thought I would! Very entertaining experience :D Thanks a lot for all the fun! Got -643.7 and am happy about it :D
There is something fascinating in watching the ragdoll fall without you being able to do something. Got strong Minecraft Dropper vibes from it. Loved the different level design (if you can call it that way) :D
My deepest result is 701! It's really fun that the bodies of the previous characters remain at the level. After a couple of attempts, heaps of bodies begin to form on some objects in the level :)
Its a neat tech demo but I dont like how there are no controls other then clicking for it to fall. I had 5 in a row that did not land within the pit as well. That all being said I hit 623
Recorded my first playing experience: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1z05sEy600 Hope this will be interesting for you to see :)
@general thank you, it is always interesting to watch how people playing my game.
Ragdoll physics are always fun to watch :) I'd add some limited controls (which could be tied to a limited resource) that could create a more skill based gameplay.
Pretty interesting, but the random fall location should probably be tighter so 50% of bodies don't land up on the edges, or at least have it reset much quicker if they do land there
I found that several of the times i clicked to drop a body they landed on the edge. Once they did fall it was interesting to watch them fall down the mineshaft and bounce off objects!
Pretty addictive game :) i would have liked at least a little bit of input, like the ability to select the drop point, but i totally respect your design decision to keep it like this as a sort of luck-based experience.
(By the way, i find it really nice of you to post a link to a simmilar game in a previous comment!)
Ragdolls and gravity combination is always feels like true pushka. Good to see you here at Ludum again and again, keep going :)
Hahaha had a good bit of fun there. I guess my humor is very simple-minded. An endless fall is all it takes :)
Simple, silly fun! I would have loved to be able to aim where my dudes went.
this is pretty cute :' i agree that a bit of input would've been a lot more fun, but this is a really neat little toy!
I really missed any controls to avoid the obstacles or any sound to make it more interesting/funny. I understand that it isn't easy to make an entry in just a few hours, but you should keep that in mind. Though it is great that you have participated. :)
It is more Art than Game actually... Oh, I see. Anyhow it is pretty fun and innovative, I think.
just loop it w/o need to press button and it would be perfect.

We got REALLY into this one. Despite being such a simple concept, it was a blast just to watch these hilarious ragdolls tumble their way down the pit. This is classic mindless fun, and I am so here for it.
