Zen and the Art of Transhumanism by Deconstructeam 2016-04-19T18:14:00
Great atmosphere and cool gameplay. Reminded a bit of Papers, Please. This game certainly gave some food for thought.

Great atmosphere and cool gameplay. Reminded a bit of Papers, Please. This game certainly gave some food for thought.
Really fun and addictive game. I like how the city becomes more and more alive.
As you mentioned, it feels unfinished. The challenge in this game is too easy. What you have, though, works well. I just wish it had more content.
Quite a fun game. Controls felt good and the music was nice too. I had some trouble finding the boss, maybe some indicator would have helped.
Really enjoyable game. I would like to see this turned into a longer game. Jumping and shifting mechanics were a bit unresponsive. The music, graphics and light-heartedness of the writing made this an enjoyable experience overall.
This is amazing from a technical standpoint. It seems crazy to pull such a thing off in the given time. It's a shame you didn't have enough time to put more content into it.
Shapeshifting was too random. It would have been better as a turn-based game rather than a real-time game. As such it was a bit difficult to enjoy :(
I really really love this idea and it's also fun to play. Only problem i have with this game is that the person started floating for no apparent reason.
@Freank Sure, feel free to :)
Really interesting idea. Seems a bit confusing at the moment, but the idea of a complex cellular automaton based game seems fascinating.
Nice unique weapons that feel great when you use them. Graphics look really nice as well.
I really like the idea. Graphics are simple and cute. The mechanics allow for some interesting puzzles to be made. I had some trouble getting the blob to follow me at times, which was a bit annoying and also there seemed to be some weird collision bugs at times. Despite that the game was quite enjoyable.
Really cool. I liked how the choice at the beginning affected the final outcome. Game looks very nice as well. It was a bit boring to replay the game after the first playthrough, since most of the dialogue was the same. Overall the game was enjoyable though
Could use better cues when you're about to lose. Interesting idea nevertheless.
Interesting mechanics. It was a bit too easy for me though.
That was challenging, took me a few tries to finish. It was fun to play and the quotes were nice. I really liked the way you did the tutorial.
I didn't really feel like the bullet mechanic was used as much as it should have been. Combat was a bit tedious. Intro was a really nice addition though.
Transformation animation looks cool. Other than that, it didn't really feel like I had much control over the distance. I wish it had more content to it.
That was quite fun. Pixel art looks really nice and the music is good as well. Only problem I noticed was that the guards melded in with the background sometimes so that they were a bit hard to see. Other than that, this is a nice game.
Really good lighting and atmosphere. Story fits the theme well. Shifting mechanic seemed a bit unnecessary and it was odd that you could only shoot sideways.
Don't have a Razer Hydra :/
Sorry can't play, no VR goggles :(
Nice game. Music was really enjoyable and graphics looked nice. Gameplay was simple but interesting nevertheless. I would have liked to see more different kinds of cards.
Not bad. I liked the luring mechanics. It would be better if the game told me how far I am with my objective.
Simple but fun idea. A quick restart button would add a lot.
I really like how you have to make every shot count. Game feel is really good. Nice job!
I like the hand-drawn Paint graphics :P reminds me of some games on Newgrounds. The game was really hard actually but i made it. I really like the battery animation as well.
@roycocup There, I uploaded mac and linux builds as well. I was too tired yesterday to do that :S
Nice game. Could use a fast forward button for skipping dialogue I've already seen.
The tutorial was nice, taught me everything i needed to know. Maybe next time try to teach the game while the player is playing, some people don't have the patience to read the wall of text. Gameplay wise it's pretty straightforward. Although after some time my damage output was a bit too low to kill all the enemies so i was forced to use the nuke. Also I got a lot of energy for no reason so nuking was pretty cheap anyways. Other than that it was a nice bullet hell. The controls were really responsive and my tank was fast enough to dodge the bullets and return fire so kudos for that.
The power starts dropping really rapidly once the first settlers arrive :S Not really sure what to do about it.
I'm really confused about what i have to do, there doesn't seem to be a way to interact with the bomb. Also i tried jumping off the train like the other guy but that just meant I fell off the map. Bonus points for intro and sound effects :P
Really hard game but very fun. Reminds me a bit of I Wanna Be the Guy because of the dropping bombs.
You can go out of bounds and win the game without any effort :P Reminds me a bit of Paxmon.
Simple idea but still interesting and challenging. I think you should have made the shooting patterns more predictable, because right now it's a lot about luck. Death screens are nice touch.
I'm not really sure why my population is decreasing or what the buildings do exactly. The concept seems interesting though. Just try to keep it simple next time :P
Nice game. Actually kept me playing for a while. I think it needs a counter spell for when the birds get really close. Nice crunchy sound effects and graphics.
Wow, my favorite game this far. Short but sad story. I love the low poly graphics and the mood was spot on.
Pretty neat idea. I can see the potential for strategic plays here. I just really wish that the card descriptions were in-game.
@simanis Thanks! Oh yea, you need to be holding a tray in your hand, I probably didn't make it very clear :/
Really nice atmosphere and cool shader effects. Audio was also quite neat and it didn't get annoying like in many other games. I think the main problem with this game is that it feels really unfair sometimes. It's a bit frustrating when I drop down a ledge and then suddenly I die because of some spikes I couldn't see before. The upgrade system seems interesting, but I never managed to run out of space  Overall it's not bad for a compo entry. I really liked the atmosphere.
Really loved the voxel graphics. I think you should have made the warning icons visible offscreen as well. Right now it's kinda hard to tell where the complaints are comign from.
Pretty neat, kept me playing for a while. I especially liked the audio and the setting. I wish there was more variety in gameplay. I felt like I'd seen it all after the first level.
Neat idea. Seems to have good potential, only wish it had some kind of a goal.
I like how the game keeps going after the kid dies and you're just left there contemplating your life decisions. I never managed to keep his thirst down, he was guzzling Mountain Dew like crazy. Also I can't believe you went with pizzas instead of tendies. Loved the humor and the voxel visuals were quite interesting (maybe the color palette could have been more interesting though).
Nice twist on the robot maze puzzle. I wish it was possible to speed the game up.
@linluk Hey, that's awesome! It means a lot to us.
That's some AAA stuff right there. The game crashed when I was about to reboot OLEC but up to that point it was really neat. I couldn't find anything I didn't like about this game, except that it teased my by almost letting me reboot OLEC but then crashed right before it.
@AMastryukov I was running it on Linux through Wine, might be specific to that. The crash happened twice when i went near the computer in the OLEC control room.
That was a really surreal experience. Feels like I need to let it sink in. Cute graphics.
What a tragic ending! I feel like you enjoyed making this game, it gives off nice vibes.
I liked the pixel art and colors in this game. I think the movement speed could have been faster, especially since there is a lot of backtracking. Not bad for a first game.
Played it longer than I'd like to admit.
