I know you've heard it before, but the art is beautiful. It's a really good game, and that you motivates the player to collect more coins, when it makes the level harder, is genius. Although I miss some sound and music. Too bad you didn't have time. The collision is also not on point all the time, but still it is one of the best ludum dare 40 game I've played so far.
Really fun and interesting game mechanic. I also like the story, it's easy and effective! The movement could be painful when I for example had to jump up those levels in level 1. Overall a good game for your first ludum dare! (Remember to vote on others games, because then more people will rate your game!)

The mechanic is very original, and the gameplay was very fun. I had some problems when adjusting the resolution though, because the text and play button overlapped, but the start up resolution worked totally fine!
