Nice interface, cool game but without the little story you tell us, it's a dock fight game so it doesn't match well the theme

Nice interface, cool game but without the little story you tell us, it's a dock fight game so it doesn't match well the theme
You litteraly are a monster in this game.
Nice mechanics, the audio is pretty, a nice simple game
It's nice, really
The puzzles are hard to solve, great
I like this kind of story telling, like in my game in fact ^^
Good job :)
The principle is original, but is she a monster ?
Good idea, nice graphics and thank you for making a game for all OS !
First, the sound really scared me x) (Good point)
The music is a good choice but of course it's a very simple game.
My mouse thanks you =)
The game is playable, but...
The audio is disturbing and I don't really understand what I have to do
I wrote "sudo apt-get install love"
Thank you for that.
Your game is extraordinary, a very good mood from it, good audio also
Cannot run the game on Linux
./game: error while loading shared libraries: libOpenImageIO.so.1.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Sinon le "rire maléfique" m'a fait rire
What was that x)
I laughed too much dude ^^
Good audio and nice graphics
Very simple, graphics are pretty, audio is sweet
This is original, your actions are so horrible xD
The game crashed for the final surprise, I d'ont know if it was on purpose ^^'
Too much drug in this videogame
Nice reference though
Your game is AWESOME!
It's the first game from LD36 I spent so much time on, good job!
YOU WON!
The first puzzle was funny to solve!
The second lead us to some interrogations (is the answer 5 or 6?), the last one just consisted in finding the glasses
Fun to play though, the voices made us laugh ;)
Well done, simple mechanics, nice art, great concept!
100% historical accurate ^^
Simple, but fun, but hard
Good job!
The graphics are nice, the concept seems great, but I didn't quite understand what was going on, I put random tokens and saw the numbers growing
If you could work a little bit on a pretty interface/tutorial, your game would be excellent I think
I saw your entry about pyramid height depending on your score, I'm glad to have tested it!
Your game is great :)
We had a great time, liked the walking animation when you're dead
What a relaxing game, 60$-worth!
Surprising game! Very nice looking, great music and mood; we have our opinion about the case, but not as accurate as some comments here. We don't really undertsand the link with the theme, but are surprised by the concept!
Good job :)
A guard got stuck mid-air while pursuing me, I don't think this was planned ahah. Your game is nice, the mechanics are pleasant, and I wanted to finish the game. Good work!
Took a few minutes to understand what was going on, afterwhat it was great fun!
When something's happening, just sing and dance and all the tribe's happy :)
Good game ;)
Another Java dev.! Your game is cool:
I loved: - The graphics - The audio - The concept - The animation of your y-flipping character
I would have loved: - A score mechanic - Some goal mechanic
Great game, addictive and satisfying as you stop playing and only watch your money/energy increase, I stopped at 7000$. The graphics are nice and the art in general is good as well. Good work!
I searched for a while to only finish the five first levels; pretty interesting concept, good innovaion here; congrats!
Damn your game looks nice, a little hard for me but great!
I made Minor Jump, and you asked me about how the level is generated: There are 10 areas of 4 platforms of height each, each area has a difficulty attached to it, areas are added as you progress through the game and the highest you go, the more difficult the new areas are. As you reach 6000 of score, you only encounter the three most difficult areas.
That was my initial game idea! Yours is great, really, but there's a huge mistake on the compyter screen (and in the screenshot). Good job!
One one the best entries (if not the best) I've seen so far! - The graphics are super great - The controls are tight - The AI works well However I've found two issues: - If you pick up a card and die, you still have the card (same for doors which stay opened upon death) - You can speedrun the game only pressing the arrow and z keys (and not using the other components) by being 0% stealth
Good job!
That was a cool experience - The graphics are super great - I was in the mood Short but intense
I wasn't able to play it :/ I got an "out of memory" error on the game page (even though I run on an i7 with 8Go of RAM and I'm using firefox)
I loved the addons system, but found it hard to use while fighting. Good job, cool game, even though I didn't find how to close it ^^
Pretty intuitive, the graphics are nice and the mood is cool; the amount of food could have been consumed faster tough, I finished with more than half of it, nevertheless the game is cool, good job!
Best game I've played so far! I had to take my controller in order to finish the game.
I loved: - The graphics <3 - The audio <3 <3 - The animations - The game mechanics - It took me 30min to finish, wow
However I think the rotating spikes don't always spawn at the same angle which makes it hard to trial and error.
Excellent, very impressive
Pretty simple game, but great. The graphics are pretty, keep it up!
Same thing here:
Data folder not found Details: There should be 'Pathfinder complete_Data' folder next to the executable
I actually finished your game; best game I've played so far. I love platformers in general, yours is great but I didn't like the recovery time after landing. The mood was super great, I enjoyed the short story at the beginning and laughed as I discovered that the apocalypse was in fact a minecraft world. Good job dude, keep making games :)
I loved it:
- The graphics are excellent - The style is super cool - The audio is awesome
Maybe a little too short, but very good!
Good game! Maybe too hard for me but the game in itself was great: - Graphics are super great - The physics are neat - The levels are cool, I love platformers so you won a lot of points ;) Hope to see you on future LD events
Very dark mood, I loved it! The difficulty is here, trying not to get looked at is very hard and the mechanic of sprinting to avoid stares by sacrifying energy brings a lot more to the game. Good job ;)
Today I created Thulium (if you know what I mean); cool game =)
Your game was excellent, I actually managed to finish it, good amount of difficulty, nice graphics, nice audio, funny, good mood: best game I've played so far. Please keep making games.
Very cool game! I loved: - The precision of the movements - The fact that your game is a very neat platformer (and I love platformers) - The graphics which were super awesome I found an issue, if you are close to a thin wall, you can shoot through it. Keep making games like this one!
I love puzzle games, your game was great, with a good amount of difficulty, keep it up! :)
I loved: - The artistic direction / the graphics - The concept - The music <3 Could be imporved: - The movements - The user interface - A menu? - An hp bar for the TESLA (yeah, I loved that too) building
Good job guys!
Lovely game, even though I killed my finger.
The level is generated by hand, platform on the same x-axis was wanted ;)
I loved your game! The font is great, the audio is cool and I loved the choices to make! Furthermore you're totally in the theme, good job!
Question X:
Your wife and kids are again playing with your nerves, do you:
- Kill yourself? - High kick them in face?
Hopefully I'm not married ;)
I liked it, the graphics are nice! Keep making games!
Very good game!
I loved: - The game mechanics - The audio - That sweet animated background
I would have loved:
- Being able to face backwards to attack
Excellent for a first time, I hope to see you on future LDs!
This is one of the best games I've played so far, I found it addictive (I played 4-5 to find balance then I played for 50 days). I loved the concept, the bouncing the text boxes. I hope to see you on future LDs if you keep making games like this ;)
Pretty nice game ! I really liked the polish brought to the graphics, the difficulty of the platformer and the sound effects. Good job !
Very interesting concept. I liked the graphics, the game mechanics and how it fits the theme. Maybe only preventing the assets from reaching 100% (and not also 0%) could've been easier to deal with because the difficulty is a bit too high for me ^^ Good work :)
Nice game ! I really liked the graphics, the game mechanics are easy to understand but effective. I've had a little issue to launch the game, like @philippe, I had to look for the ld40.exe
I loved it ! What I really enjoyed: - The graphics - The music - The game mechanics :O - The simplicity
Every level worked, the sound mechanic was clear and fair but I failed to pass level 3 :/
I really like it, the difficulty increases pretty quick though, but so does the stress/pleasure. Nice game you've made here, congratulations :)
You've got an impressing team ! I loved the graphics, the concept and the mechanics; but I got depressed after a dozen of pigs ran to their death :( I also liked the game over. Good job, hope to see you on future jams ;)
This is one of the best games I've played so far
- The graphics <3 - The artistic direction <3 - The animations - The mood overall
- Making the combat system more clear - More animations/text - That's pretty much all, you're game is awesome
I hope to see you on future LDs :)
Nice game ! I really liked how it fits the theme, the camera, the graphics and the simple controls. Maybe the difficulty increases too quickly or I'm just bad ^^ Good work !
Pretty good game overall ! I liked the hardcore gameplay and the tight controls. Good work for a first entry, keep it up !
Your game was AWESOME!
- The Dart engine - The gunplay - The destroyable items - The voicing - The gameplay overall
- I've only been able to clean 82% of the blood/oil, I didn't find what was remaining
The way your game respects the theme is just LOVELY Good work :)
Pretty nice game ! I loved the graphics and the additions from Flappy Bird, a difficulty increasing quicker could've been great :)
I really liked the game ! I loved the graphics, took time to read the ads (bit unusual isn't it?), and liked the music. The difficulty could increase quicker because the game tends to become repetitive after a score of 100. Good job :)
- The gameplay - The music - Its addictiveness (I played a dozen times)
Good work :)
This is really good, I love the concept of watching my minions defeat the enemy team. The tournament thingy is also a good idea.
The game lacks a bit of late-game as I stopped buying stuff after a few rounds, introducing better gear as the game goes on would have been great but we don't have much time to work on the games :)
Good job :)
I really loved the art style and music but got myself a bit lost on what to do. I cut down some trees, gathered seeds and tried to plant salads but they seemed to bit instantly consumed. I don't know what the goal is but your game is cute :)
The audio and art style are great and I liked finding hidden bones. The game suffers a bit from the pathfinding, enemies were ofter stuck in walls and even chocolate, which resulted in him taking a lot of damage.
Good job :)
I really like this genre of game. Yours is challenging and the background is pretty. Maybe a bit too hard, and my music stopped after a few minutes in the game.
@milano23 that's funny. I had launched another game before yours and its launcher bugged resulting in the game not launching. I think the music came from this one before it ultimately crashed.
Your game made me want to see the end. Even though there are a few bugs (try grabing a left edge for example) the platforming was good and challenging.
The timing mechanic was a good idea, I think it could have been better to make really short time spans that would be refilled while standing next to fire barrels.
Good job overall :)
Nice little game, the art does the work! Glad to see another developer using LWJGL :)
Would have loved to test the game mechanic to get the apples of the second level ;)
I really liked it, the concept is silly but very fun to play. The graphics are cute and the music is good.
My only problem was that the platform's axis moved with time and that, sometimes, meteorites would spawn on my pig at the edges of the screen.
Good entry!
Playing alone, I lost 10-0 two times in a row before starting scoring a little. The game mechanics are great, your game is very well polished and the difficulty makes it challenging enough so that I wanted to play again even though I'm pretty sure the bot was making fun of how bad I was.
@mika-la-grand my game is intended to be a parody where you play as a code reviewer (as stated in the description) because reviewing code can sometimes feel like guarding a border.
I intended to bring variety with reviewing mechanics a bit different than Papers Please (even though I only had the time to implement two of those) and with the moral mechanic you find at the end of each day. I think unboxing waifus differentiates my game a bit from PP but maybe you didn't feel that.
@juice-lizard sad to hear that but thank you for the feedback, I will edit the description accordingly :)
@mika-la-grand you have a "open lootbox" button on the right side of the screen at the end of the day
@antti-haavikko thanks a lot for your helpful comment and constructive review, I really appreciate it! Ooooh I would have loved to add all of these features but I always finish my games 1 to 2 hours before the deadline :(
Of course @juice-lizard, I've updated the description
@juice-lizard thank you for trying so hard to play my game, I appreciate it :)
I have added a `run.command` file to the archive, what you need to do (according to what I think should work on MacOS): - Extract the archive - Open Terminal (in `/Applications/Utilities/Terminal`). - Grant execute permissions on file `run.command` to Owner, Group. and Public. To do so, type in `chmod a+x `, with a space after it; drag and drop the `run.command` file into the terminal window; and then press enter. (This gives run permission to the `run.command` script.) - Double-click the run.command file to start the server.
@zeppelingames sad to hear that. I wish I would have had the time to add a tutorial but I finished this version 2h before the deadline. The game's mechanics are explained here though if you want to give it another try.
@juice-lizard at this point I think we should give up trying to set it up on your computer, anyway thank you again for trying so hard
@fancypants thank you, please let me know if you encounter any problem :)
@nnnikki sorry to have disappointed you (even though I'm pretty sure Lucas Pope had more than 48h to implement gameplay features)
I loved the music, especially the jazz vibes from the main menu. The graphics reminded me of the [town carpet](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/918mWBrXU3L._SX425_.jpg) I had at my school when little. The game mechanic is simple to understand (though the "how to play" section is a bit hard to read), I won with 30 people remaning. Good game overall
I really loved the mood: the graphics are great and so is the music. The puzzle game are cool, having a limited amount of time make them even more cool.
The fighting mechanics were a bit anecdotal though.
This is great entry, good job!
Your game is really nice and the game mechanic added to Conway's game of life is fun.
RIP John Conway, he was a mathematician I admired a lot.
A simple but effective game, I loved the pixel art and the music.
The game is challenging, I always got killed due to contamination.
Well done :)
I don't even know where to begin with... It's impressive how you managed to make this game in such a short amount of time!
It is pretty, the artistic direction is great, this game is packed with an awesome ambiance. I love the game mechanics and the voice acting is a really good addition.
I loved it!
Nice game, very cute. Sadly it took down my browser a few times, I wasn't able to start level 2 :(
This is a good entry with a good amount of content.
I think it's too easy though, you could make the bullets bounce only 2-3 times and reduce the amount of ammunition.
Good job overall :)
I didn't quite get the hydra's mechanics but the game plays smoothly, I liked it :)
You tried to keep alive text-based adventure games and platformers, and let me tell you that you did great!
- The text-based adventure is captivating, I really really loved the art of the terminal (this is somethind I tried to do on one of my previous games but you nailed it) and I didn't get stuck searching what to input - The platformer is challenging (I died 20 times on the first one, if only I had my controller with me, damn you lockdown!)
Overall your game is good, you want to keep working on it? **Please do!**
Fun fact: I closed my shutters just before playing this game, I'd recommend anyone playing it to do so
I really love the art style and the game intro.
The game mechanics are simple to understand but avoiding a few enemies becomes hard quickly, being able to fight them would have been a great addition. Good job :)
I really like the graphics and the music :)
The concept is quick to get but needs a lot of trial and error to master.
Nicely done!
Impressive job done on the graphics/models. The gameplay is challenging as not taking cover results in a quick death, but when taking cover, you can eliminate the enemies and progress incrementally. That works!
I would have loved to be a bit more guided as to where to go and maybe a reloading mechanic, but good job overall :)
I liked the concept and the unexpected boss. I found it a bit difficult to recover the torch sometimes, as I would just get quickly killed by the flames, maybe I did something wrong. Also i would have prefered jumping with the space key and throwing the torch with an utility key such as F or the left click.
Good entry :)
Your game is hard and challenging but it makes you want to replay it.
The game mechanics are easy to understand and manage.
Good entry and good job :)
