Interesting concept! Wish it was much longer though, the humour is great and would love to play more of this!

holgk 2016-08-30 14:00

Wow fantastic game. The mechanics are simple but they are working. The animation of the flipping page is realy great. Nice art style. You did a realy good job.

frix360 2016-08-30 14:28

That is a very fun game. :D Nice idea and visuals. Good job.

stenol 2016-08-30 14:35

geruhn 2016-08-30 14:50

Nice graphics and I like the background track.

cmangas 2016-08-30 14:54

Really nice game, I loved the choose your own adventure style! The humor and music were on point too :D

aroscillo 2016-08-30 15:02

This was different. It's really nice and the music was perfect.

mvasko2 2016-08-30 15:03

Haha, this game spawned a big smile in my face :D
I loved everything, the concept, the music, the incredibly funny story and the way it was interconnected...

Excellent work! Would play more of this.

diegoctorguet 2016-08-30 15:09

This may be one of the best games that give importance to the sense of humor. Good job!
Kevin Mcleod is always a reliable musician too.

xakkar 2016-08-30 15:17

mathiasj 2016-08-30 16:52

I love this game! First of all, let me say that the music realy stands out and is awesome. I could listen to it all day!
The writing is incredible and story keeps you interested. I just have to try all of the available options to see what's gonna happen!
Oh and you got me with Mom's Spaghetti :D

jadernak 2016-08-30 17:10

Absolutely loved it, tried to see all the outcomes. The recursion was very well done, thumbs up.

oskardevelopment 2016-08-30 18:22

Cool game with nice art and music! Would be cool if the adventures at first option (30 and 2) would've intertvened later on in the game.

Is there any ending that ends happily without me dying nor being called a coward? I couldn't find any other kind of ending at least.

skully 2016-08-30 18:30

Laughed out loud a few times, loved it. And it looks great too - even if the ring stain stressed me out. Love that you added in sounds for poking the things on the desk too haha.
Great job!

maximumillusion 2016-08-30 19:23

The game is really funny I literally had a smile on my lips for the whole time playing. The art is the best I have seen so far this LudumDare and just the overall feel is great. A lot of choices which I liked and everytime I died I did so in a funny way at least. Could imagine the game to be successful as a mobile game with more content and maybe selling it for a dollar.

findor 2016-08-30 19:24

Original idea! I like the humor of the game, art is pretty good, everything is simple and smooth. Well done!

metalhaze 2016-08-30 19:25

I used to love the choose your own adventure goosebump books so this was like a breath of fresh air. I also quite enjoyed the humor and found myself laughing quite a bit. Good job!

thelaw 2016-08-30 19:31

Cool idea for choose-your-adventure game! ;)

Also good design. Your art creator had many pictures to draw :D

whitepot_studios 2016-08-30 20:37

Great art style and cool concept. Like it's a simple mechanic that you've made work really well. Loved everything but the music - got a bit repetitive.

PS My adventure does not sux :( But I went back and did another one because of that ending screen haha!

sudorossy 2016-08-30 20:37

I really enjoyed this game, works really well with my touchscreen laptop! should consider to port on touch screen devices -itsandrea

maximumillusion 2016-08-30 20:38

thenanox 2016-08-30 20:57

really liked the humor in all the game :) congrats for the interesting concept.

hero7785 2016-08-30 21:25

Loved the humor and art work

colozz 2016-08-30 21:45

Your game is AWESOME!
It's the first game from LD36 I spent so much time on, good job!

gonutz 2016-08-30 22:15

Unfortunately I cannot run your 64 bit executable on my 32 bit system.
Still, the .exe seems to be the game and not an installer. I complement you for creating a single .exe file that is downloaded directly when clicking on the link. This is how it should be.

tmpxyz 2016-08-31 03:38

Ha, it's an interesting little adventure.

findor 2016-08-31 20:44

haha, it was fun :) Good graphic, and I like the music. I didn't win :(

kostik1337 2016-09-02 05:01

Thank you for making this game, I really enjoyed it. For a second I thought that decisions on one route affect choices on another, but you stayed true to gamebook mechanic.

pixelpotions 2016-09-02 16:39

I loved it and I love these adventure books! Awesome experience, I don't really get what's happening when unlocking the phone though? The art is beautiful and the music fits the book perfectly.

I fixed the bugs in my entry if you are interested to check it out.

franklins-ghost 2016-09-04 14:39

Such a great entry, always loved the old lone wolf series so was a nice reminder to play this. Really nice writing and art and the quick play through and restart meant I could keep trying to see the different endings. Has made me want to pull out my old pick a path books.

g12345 2016-09-07 08:05

Loved it.

So many little touches, so many drawings, and so many funny things...

I feel like I should have made a book game like this too, and therefore you must be my doppelganger... "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!"

Well, and I won the adventure. At least, on (one of) the "win" path you can still get a fun adventure with that note.

dollarone 2016-09-15 22:51

Very clean and neat presentation, and fitting music. I got flashbacks to reading these books when I was young(er), and this was no less evil. Had me laughing :)

Would be cool to see a longer story, hope you guys continue the series!
