Fun fast paced game which was really difficult once you started being chased by the helicopter but great to play.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → Franklins Ghost
Fun fast paced game which was really difficult once you started being chased by the helicopter but great to play.
Awesome game, reminded me of playing the old California games. Like the way you added the extra story element with the surf camp and the rock, paper, scissors game.
Nicely polished game, enjoyed the puzzle aspects.
Best audio experience I've had with all the games I've played so far, great job.
Great visuals and like the music although the explosion noises become a bit to much.
Fun game with really nice movement when controlling the worm.
Great visuals, the flat look works nicely and like that you're on a timer.
Really nice art, the little guys have so much character.
Great entry, really different. Liked the style and concept but just had issues at first figuring out how everything worked.
Nice style and liked the use of the theme but had the same issue when trying to play in browser, the framerate really dropped. Windows version works well though.
Nice game, liked the simple controls. Got a score of 136.
Nice little game with lots of style. Really liked the visuals and the characters design.
Like the octopus look but had an issue with collision where I fell through the ground at the start. Nice aesthetics though, good job.
Great art style, liked the design of the animals and finding out each ones ability.
Cute designs and liked the way the periscope turns whichever way you're moving, nice little touch. Also the explosions effect is great.
Liked the graphics and the ending was a nice surprise, very clever.
Interesting mechanic. Impressed at how developed this game is and liked the exploring different surfaces aspect.
Nice little simulation and liked the touch of giving the little creatures names.
Simple but interesting mechanic, could see it working well on a mobile.
Enjoyed the bug racing and style.
Lovely art and sound works well. Also liked the mechanic but did find it hard.
Simple design but works well and like the smoothness of the worms movement.
Fun to chase some people as a shark, felt like I was in a Jaws movie.
Loved the look and the interactive aspects. Clever little game with great design.
Lovely visuals and audio, really helps in setting the mood of the game.
Brilliant game and so polished. Impressed with what you got done in the time.
Nice atmosphere and enjoyed the writing, also nice to see a point and click adventure game. Music would also help but liked the art.
Liked the way you used the control of the timeline. Was interesting to play around with. Would be interesting to see this developed further with the controls and movement tightened up.
Quite fun and challenging game without using the brake. Liked the feeling of being lost and journeying down
Great style, like all the different characters and the ship crash landing is a nice intro to the game.
Interesting mechanic, took me a second to figure out what to do, but nice concept. Also liked the extra difficult of adding the lines.
Nice to see a point and click but wish I had more feedback when my mouse is over something interactive. Like the simple art style.
Nice simple game, like the resurfacing aspect and that you have to decide how far you push yourself.
Beautiful looking game and interesting approach to the theme, great work.
Well done game and the opening intro was something I hadn't seen yet, so nice job. Also fun to kill off those pesky knights.
Nice take on the classic snake. Would be nice to have more levels and ease into the difficulty. Found it quite hard from the third level. Also enjoyed the way you used the simple graphics.
Nice writing and liked the use of music.
Enjoyed the smooth controls and the space bar effect was a nice touch.
Such a clever little game and nice twist on the submarine game. Really enjoyed playing it and how you have to time manage, appropriate for Ludum Dare.
First run level 3, 4047m.
Great water effect but agree the destroyers are a little too powerful
Nice little simple game and goes well with the theme.
Beautiful game that's really innovative in design and a pleasure to play. Easily one of my favourites so far.
Got upto 300 and something. Great game and impressed at how smooth the controls are, can see this becoming an addictive quick game to play.
Nice music. Liked the movement of the worms but found it difficult to move and aim with the keyboard.
Loved everything about this one and the ending was a nice touch.
Interesting mechanic and liked the way the theme was used.
Got stuck on one of the levels though when it appeared that someone was standing on the stairs and I couldn't go any further. Also really like the corpses left behind, think that is a great touch to see.
Beautiful game both visuals and audio. Great job.
Nice polished game and got quite addictive trying to clear all the asteroids, ended up playing for longer then I had intended :)
Nice game and like the way the instructions are displayed to give you a sense of purpose with what to do.
Innovative game, addictive and could see it working well on a mobile.
94.518s, like the graphics and title screen design.
Not sure what I was doing with the computer but I liked the atmosphere set.
Really nice idea. Made it to the end at 238m which was a great touch. And as has been mentioned the shop is a great addition on making the game addictive.
Funniest game I've played so far and great visuals also font choice works really well. Nice job.
Runs well on my laptop and the visuals are great, nice use of colour.
Really like the visuals and the colour palette you've used. Fun little game with great backstory.
Loading bar went upto about 95% but stopped loading. I'm using the latest chrome.
Interesting mechanic and nice visuals. Like your interpretation of the theme.
Definitely reminds me of super meat boy which is a good thing. and the music works well with the gameplay.
Liked the simple designs and the run animation was done well.
Nice use of music to set the tone.
Thanks so much guys :)
Really flattered that you all took the time to comment and am extremely happy that there's people that liked it. My first ever attempt at one of these and didn't really have a clue what I was getting into. Also first time I've ever done anything with music so extremely happy that people like the audio, was a fun aspect that I hadn't expected and guess it's why these LD's are so great.
Also definitely can see the point in the negative comments so thanks for those also cause agree with them and think the game is way to simple and needs more going on. So more motivation to extend this.
Very happy at the moment :)
Thanks guys and hadn't noticed the music issue because don't think I'd played it that far so nice catch Tifu, thanks for mentioning it and if I do end up extending this later I have alot of comments to work from.
@Hypnohustla nice point about the mouseclick. Something really simple I should have thought about with the keyboard to restart. Guess something I'll learn from this experience.
@VDZ the theme is that the character is beneath the surface trying to protect his planet by absorbing enemies beneath.
@hexagore & @vilya if I extend this after I will definitely work on it actually becoming more difficult, variation and having more substance.
Cheers everyone else. Glad people are enjoying my basic entry and thanks Joseph Miller for the Princess Mononoke comment, nice to hear.
Yeah think the game not changing speed or anything is a massive issue and next time really need to approach the time better. Never tried one of these and second day was wasted away from the computer all day.
Just looked at my code for the first time since the weekend and realised I had actually set enter to restart so you don't have to click restart. Accidently had left a variable stopping it from working. My bad...
Also cheers everyone for the comments, have learnt alot and enjoying seeing what everyone else has made.
@Pixelulsar definitely think it needs to be extended to be more fun as people say, way to repetitive.
Great looking game, liked the different aspects of looking for the monsters and then the side view to fight them.
Interesting concept and like the way the player has to control what's below and above the surface.
Kept getting missiles coming from offscreen below even though I'd destroyed the submarines. Fun quick game.
Impressive entry and interesting mechanic with the audio which is great. Love the audio and the design :)
Great game and really liked the way the dialogue sets the mood. Think this would be worth expanding and would be great to see with animations.
Fun game and liked the way you used the theme with the dancing danger from below.
Nice job on your first submission. Made it to level 7 on my second go, gets pretty difficult.
Great simple game concept but challenging, will be definitely giving this another play later.
Interesting concept, liked the intro quiz and the way you have to balance things.
Nice water and enemy effects. The movement of the fish is also really smooth.
Fun little game but found it pretty difficult to hit the guys.
Interesting take on the theme and was good to see how the different steps of life appeared with their own traits.
Like the visuals but didn't really understand what the items were or what to do with them. Did enjoy exploring around though and trying to figure out what was going on.
Love the visuals and mood definitely a really solid entry.
Cute game, liked the art and the gameplay. Simple but done really cleverly and well.
Clever design and like the way you've changed things up with the additional gameplay elements that are introduced the further down you go.
Really liked the exploration and the way the visuals are cutoff as though you're in a diving suit in an alien world with these mermaid like predators waiting for you.
Bit to hard for me though. Best distance was 310 away.
Like the solar power aspect to keep you from staying below but found it hard to hit the enemies.
Beautiful visuals and liked the way you used the theme. Did seem at times that the dialogue I was choosing didn't have that much of an impact but can imagine this is because of the time constraints. Great entry though which felt really polished.
Liked the way you used the theme, such a unique take on it.
Clever entry, liked the changing between the girl and boys worlds and the way you developed the puzzles around that mechanic.
Liked the mood of this game and the floating particles were a nice touch but as others have said I did find the transitioning from the bottom of platforms to the side quite difficult at times. Would be nice to see a post jam version of this with the controls a bit more tightened because I did enjoy the look of the game and movement when you are just moving and jumping.
Graphics are great and was fun to drive around and listen to the insults.
Such a well done game, so polished and fun to play. The character movement feels great and the puzzles are cleverly done with nice progression in difficulty.
Had fun exploring but couldn't find any relics which was frustrating. The character animation is great and the music works well in helping set the mood. Hoping to see this expanded upon.
Such a beautiful looking game, the hand drawn style works so well. The puzzle aspect is also a nice interpretation of the theme.
Nice game, I'm impressed at the amount of detail you were able to get in. Liked the building aspect at the start with the objectives of growth and the voiceover and music worked really well with the context of the government.
Beautiful looking game and the experience of exploring was a peaceful one. Liked the way the audio and environment helped set the mood.
Great idea, pulled off really well. Obviously I liked the way you used the theme.
Beautiful elegant clean design and was interesting seeing the results of what would occur from the clicks. Didn't have a clue what I was doing but still enjoyed the experience.
Nicely polished, feels almost like a finished project instead of something you did in 48hrs. More levels and I'll be even happier :)
Great use of the theme and the audio worked really well with the visuals. Did find it a bit hard to figure out though.
The mechanic is great, very clever. Although it took me some practice to get the hang of delivering the papers with the gravity.
The rope mechanics were well done but did take me a bit to realise you needed to follow a specific path.
Like the simple design and the music worked really well. Could see this being addictive on a mobile.
Such an enjoyable game to play because the art style is just so polished. Makes it a pleasure to play. Although I did find the human parts of the game quite challenging.
One of the nicest experiences I've had this LD, very sweet. The characters were distinct and interesting and I liked trying to decide who to invite. My party ended up okay but unremarkable which I was quite happy with. Will have to go back and play because I'm interested to see on what other epilogues I can end up with. Nicely done.
Such a fun little game full of plenty of content. Spent way more time then I'd expected playing this. Impressed with all the enemy designs you got in and was constantly surprised to find more as I kept going. Think this deserves more comments.
Couldn't figure out level three after I had light it all up but thought it was an interesting concept.
Music worked well with the visuals.
Love the graphics of this game, especially the thrusters. So much fun to just fly around but I couldn't find anyone and at one point I got my energy upto 7246 so that was a nice bonus. Would be nice with some soft exploration music.
Like when simple design and simple concept come together and create a great experience. Clever game with really nice music. Enjoyed playing this.
Enjoyed seeing the story unfold and think I'll have to come back and try and get the other endings. Nicely written and the photos worked really well.
Liked the opening and concept of escaping from the tv into reality to turn off the tv. Was an interesting take on the theme but did get a bit lost when I fell back into the tv from the above shelf.
Liked the different screens but had a bug where one time the crash landing on the planet seemed to bug out and the lander just stayed in space not moving down.
Great entry so polished and music works perfectly.
Absoulutely loved your game in the last Ludum Dare so was looking forward to seeing your entry for this one, didn't disappoint.
Really like the art but I wish I could use the keyboard to attack instead of the mouse. Also music transitions worked well.
Great game, love the art and sound. Wasted quite a bit of time just flicking over the characters on the select screen and listening to their names, hilarious.
Ended up getting paladin, cheerful rooster with the Ranger. Impressive entry definitely one of my favourites so far, will have to come back and play more.
The mood of this one is great. The puzzle solving, graphics and music just work so well together. Later levels were to difficult for me but I still had fun trying to get the ball in position.
Finished with 28 coins. Like the movement of the characters and the way you have a little bounce to you, nice visual touch.
Great graphics and the sounds worked well. Loved the hacking mechanic thought it was really well executed. Took me a second to realise I could hack the guard but once I noticed that it all started making sense and I enjoyed figuring out what I needed to do. Would like to see this expanded even further.
Liked the simple visuals with the thick platform lines and detailed sky, nice effort for a first 3D project. Think you get the feeling of being in the sky across.
Got stuck on a platform I couldn't figure out how to get out of without restarting.
The god voiceover was a nice touch.
Found it quite difficult with the portals affecting the platforms but think with a tutorial level or just easing in to the world would really help the player get the hang of it.
The art is great in this, especially loved the tree designs.
Liked the distinct style of each planet-city and the colours used. Was worth playing just to find out the name of the dog, fun dialogue.
One of the best looking games I've played this LD. Was fun to play and liked the different attack waves. Think you just need a bit more difference in gameplay between the mech and the normal player but overall an extremely polished entry, great music, great art.
Ran really slow for me but was interesting with the mechanic of crafting and liked being able to look up at the floating isles.
Love the style and really well done mood. The character design works nicely
Liked the concept but found it really difficult.
The ghost mechanic for solving the puzzles was a great idea and the music worked really well, great game.
Great looking game with music that worked really well. Loved the intro and mood you set up but just wish it was longer. Hopefully you expand upon this.
Nice design which works really well with this mechanic but did find the switching a bit delayed. Would definitely like to see this expanded. Fun game.
Liked the interactivity and mood but not sure what I was meant to do.
Love the art but did get confused with what I was doing.
Simple concept done well. Liked the satisfaction of seeing the blocks light up.
Fun game but did find it pretty hard. Most leaves I was able to get in 1 game was 3. But the quick play did work well in making it more addictive in restarting and trying to beat the count.
Actually enjoyed the simplicity of this, think the hand drawn look worked really well with the context and could see this working well as a quick mobile game to pass the time. My best score without mashing the keys was 25.
Beautiful visuals.
Been trying to play this, but first few times it froze my chrome browser and then the other time I got upto selecting level 1 but the loading stayed at 0%. Will have to come back and try it on another computer.
Was able to survive 55 seconds. The quick restart definitely helps. Really tough game but liked the different characters mechanic.
Music worked really well and could see this working on mobile. Nice use of the theme and the variety was also a great touch.
Really liked the art and the idea behind it, just wish there was more dialogue. Great concept though and looking forward to the post-compo version.
Thanks jas7229 & mrexcessive.
Definitely find audio my weakness and wish I'd had time to do voiceovers for the characters and a proper theme.
Glad you liked the audio Tanner and thanks INC$D021 & cmayhem, tried to make it humorous so nice to know I got that across.
Cheers everyone, glad some people are liking the audio and that some of the humour and creepy weirdness is getting across.
Thanks panurge the more time that passes since I completed it and the more I'm liking the idea. Have been thinking of expanding it later on. Want to add more characters, dialogue and voiceovers.
GAFBlizzard if only you knew what he was actually saying you might be more worried :)
Thanks Snoother and definitely agree with you about LD helping with these types of games. Can't actually imagine having come up with this game and making it if it wasn't for LD.
Really happy people are enjoying it and been great to get such positive feedback. Definitely makes me want to expand on the idea and already have lots of ideas I wanted to include and improve.
Thanks everyone, nice to see more people are playing.
And thanks Pierrec and GrooveMan for pointing out that maybe you shouldn't know who's answering. Been coming up with some possibilities for this feature today and have also started to plan some other contests. I want the expanded version to have about 100 characters and each to feel unique with their own style. Got some new ones I'm happy with and can't wait to start filling in their personalities.
Found this article which mentioned Zanlings Match so that was a nice surprise. http://www.joystiq.com/2014/08/26/play-all-of-the-connected-world-ludum-dare-30-games/?ncid=rss_truncated
The graphics are great. Liked the opening scene but think the text font would have worked better if it was more hand written style. The dream game was also pretty addictive so nice job.
Liked the little shark planets, was a nice touch. Also congratulations for a really polished game for a first entry.
Brilliant game absolutely loved everything about it. Definitely straight to the top of my favourites so far.
Got past the falling rocks but then couldn't figure out what to do.
Title screen was well done and the concept is great even if I sucked at it and kept choosing the wrong actions :)
The visuals worked really well and the puzzle aspect was pretty challenging. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on.
Such a great polished game, loved everything about it. Great visuals and music worked so well with it all. Also the twist with the bacon was a nice surprise and the way things escalated was well done.
Great visuals and liked the concept, was interesting to see how many different ways I could figure out to get to the portal.
Was satisfying to finish but did notice the keyboard input bugs as well, at times it felt unresponsive.
Also the music from the two worlds at time seemed to be playing in the wrong world. Liked the concept though and liked that it felt like a finished game. Nice job on a first game jam.
Impressed with how much you were able to get in. The solar system was a nice display and gave a great atmosphere just watching the planets moving.
Impressed with how much you got in, in 48hrs, Also liked the way the team members had unique props to distinguish them.
Character design is great, definitely the first thing that grabbed my attention. Like how much you were able to get in in the short amount of time you had. Was actually fun just walking around the environment and seeing what was around. Also the use of theme was really interesting because it made me aware to look for anything out of the ordinary which worked well for keeping me focused on the environment.
Liked the simplicity of the game and the text worked well in helping to set the mood.
Like the concept but did find it really difficult as has been mentioned. Look forward to trying the future version because could see this working well if it eased the player into the difficulty and the mechanics.
One of my favourites so far. Played it all the way through and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Did feel like the ending was a bit abrupt with the last message though.
Music and graphics are beautiful, loved just watching the tail move as you turned.
I liked the ship controls and thought it worked well after you've been playing for awhile and adjusted to the movement. Liked the visuals and sounds and really impressed at how much depth you were able to get in to the Jam version. One of the games that I will come back to further play and explore.
Quite fun game, and the use of a leaderboard adds the replayability. Did have issues with impossible jumps but overall really enjoyed it.
Great graphics and the colours worked so well. Got a score of 1311.
Nice use of the theme and liked the ending surprise.
Liked the art and the way you used layers but as mentioned a bit more gameplay would really help.
The title screen was nicely done and the colour choices worked really well. Liked the concept and the way you had to think about the two different concepts at once. Clever game.
Nice solid first effort, congratulations. Liked the energy aspect to the jumping but think also adding a little text or something that appears the first time you need to jump in the air would be a good tip for the player and help with the confusion.
Great use of the theme and the simple designs worked really well. Think reversing the colours in the opposing world would help distinguish them a bit more, but besides that really enjoyed it.
Nice visuals and the intro text was great, liked the humour.
Nicely written and thought the way you used the twine engine was great. Enjoyed reading this and seeing what would occur from my decisions.
Nice clean design and a good balance of challenge with the colour combinations. Did find the jumping at times a bit tough though.
Hilarious, loved it. Really well written and the response choices were great.
Fun game, enjoyed the way you had to use the temporary powerups.
Beautiful art and great job on first entry. The colours used set the mood really well but did find the text difficult to read at times
Such a great concept really enjoyed it and was interesting how easily it would mess with my sense of perception. Challenging but well done puzzle game.
Great puzzle game, enjoyed the challenge but wish there had been more of an easing into the difficult levels. Loved the music and thought it worked so well.
Interesting take on the theme, liked the writing style.
Fun little puzzle game with really nice graphics for 12 hrs work. Also liked the way the trees swayed as you moved the platforms. Some nice ambient music would be a nice touch to the atmosphere. Would like to see an expanded version.
Liked the character design but did notice you could still shoot when in the text sections.
Defeated the yellow boss and the transition back to the menu was a bit abrupt. Music was great and worked really well with the space shooter theme. Also liked the clean tron like designs.
Colour choices are great, think they work really well, dividing the stage. Just had problems with it running a bit slow at times in Chrome on my laptop.
Nice level design and the back story was hilarious, added a great element to the game on why you are attacking other planets.
Brilliant game, definitely one I would love to see expanded upon. Always amazed how much you get across with so few pixels. Love everything about it, the colours, design, music and atmosphere. Passed way more time then I should have just riding the bike around exploring.
Liked the way you used the theme and the multiple paths was a nice touch. Did find the level that you start at the top and jump out of screen a bit challenging because you couldn't see what you were doing.
The mood in the train is great but once I started herding the sheep and got most of them in the pen, I couldn't figure out what to do because one had gone on to the grassy area and I couldn't follow it.
Liked the way you developed the story, was an interesting take on the theme. The night and day was also done really well.
Great graphics, loved the punching animation of the character. Also liked the way you were able to use the pulley system to change the world, clever little feature.
Such a nicely polished entry, liked the puzzle aspect and the way you used the theme of connected worlds. Great art and the music worked so well. The animation of the cat in the box movement was my favourite, loved the bouncing nature of it. Also was able to play till the end so that's always a good sign. Did feel like the last puzzle screen was a bit out of the blue though with the chicken and anvil.
Didn't load for me in chrome for some reason either but I'll try it on another computer tomorrow.
Music worked really nicely with the gameplay. Liked the puzzle aspect but did take me a second to realise what I was meant to do. Think the tiles and two options should be further emphasised as being linked.
One of the most creative games I've played so far this LD. Loved the concept and the visuals work so well. Did find it at times a bit difficult to control the hand but definitely a game I would play again if the controls were tightened some more. Great entry.
Such a clever idea, really enjoyed this one. Will definitely come back to play it and see if I can make it further. Also think the graphics work really well in this contact and didn't feel like I was missing the tweens or anything.
The art is great. Loved the falling animation when getting hit. The simple concept worked well with the theme, nice entry.
One of the best looking games I've played this LD, love the visuals and atmosphere. Impressed at how much depth you've included and just wish things were just a bit clearer with the actions and consequences.
Loved the vector art, thought it was a nice design choice. The variety of helmets and weapons was also a great touch. Did find the enemies really hard and there was a few times were me and the ai seemed to freeze up together. Fun little arena fighter.
Great entry that feels really complete. Plenty of levels and the art and music work really well.
Fun game with beautiful visuals and music. Really enjoyed playing and liked the way the game opened up and how the layout changed as you progressed. Great entry.
Love how weird this one is with such nice use of the theme. Did find it quite addictive and wasn't able to stop until I'd solved it. Would work well on mobile and would be nice to see levels.
Loved the art, music and variety of attacks. Nice little fighting game with great intro, just wish there was some enemy feedback. Did end up playing for awhile, fun entry.
That title is great, really lets you know what type of game you're getting into. Fun to see the mayhem but sadly I kept losing my money. Can't believe you made it all in 10hrs, quite a feat.
Really fun quirky entry, got a highscore of 170 so was pretty happy about that. Liked the tv dialogue, thought it was pretty funny at times so did get distracted just checking what was on. The view also worked well in putting the player in the position of sitting watching tv with the family.
Quirky great entry with nicely done voice over. Found this entry hilarious even if I wasn't quite sure what I was doing, I did enjoy checking out what was on the different channels.
Such a creative mind bending idea, loved it. Was interesting trying to figure what was going on out. One of the best uses of the theme I've seen so far.
Liked the texture aspect to the graphics and also interesting to have to grab dissedents. Maybe timer could increase the tension in that if you don't grab them quickly then they do something bad.
Fun quirky entry, wasn't sure what I was doing at the start but did have fun just seeing what would happen. Liked the way each letter had its own little character and the audio worked well in setting the mood.
Fun game with interesting design, liked the art and music and thought the concept worked really well. As you've mentioned I did run into the issue with fights going too long that you couldn't see the end. Looking forward to seeing an expanded version though.
Music and art are great, works so well at setting the mood. Enjoyed just trying to survive as long as possible before getting overrun by the zombies. Fun entry.
The art is brilliant, really loved it and impressed you attempted a RTS in the time. Was able to build a few castles but the pink guys are just to quick for me. Fun to watch the little guys moving around though, a great entry.
Liked the way you had to navigate the house using the tendrils and fire. The simple design also works well. Sheep combo for the win.
Fun little snowman fighter with nice moves. Liked the attack dash, thought it was implemented well and the ground pound was nice touch. Would be nice to have some snow shoot up as you land on the ground. Also agree that less energy and lives I think would add more tension but good game.
Fun polished entry, although think it would be nice to pull the player in by having the first level a bit smaller so that they can pass and get some confidence. I made it to just a few blocks from the centre but just missed out with my O2 running out. Also nice to see Dwarves leave the caves and head into space.
The design is so nice. Loved the layout and the audio you chose worked perfectly. Great experience playing this and liked the way the game began slow paced with the rain slowly coming in and then the storm crashing down. Nice different entry from the rest I've played so far.
You've definitely captured the feeling of a tamogotchi. Also the beaten up look after losing fights was a funny surprise.
Clever concept with lots of potential which would be interesting to see a co-op version. My controls did seem to get stuck at times though.
Lovely looking game. I really liked the way the textboxs popped up, so nice. Great entry that feels highly polished with it's graphics and audio. Also congratulations on your 4th successful LD.
Fun entry with great audio, couldn't help but laugh at some of the dialogue.
Graphics and art are great, really polished. Liked the way if you move the cursor further away the dragon speeds up. Gameplay was a bit light though as has been mentioned but overall a nice little experience with clear intro game and ending which was nice to see.
Clever entry with some of the best graphics I've seen. Liked the way each level was a part of the whole and that it was really quick plays. Great entry.
One of the best uses of the theme I've seen so far. Had quite a bit of fun playing this one, really challenging. My highest score was 172 so nowhere near your top score.
Another great entry surprise, surprise. Fun little addictive game that takes me back to playing the old GTA game.
Clever simple design which works really well. Liked the mechanic of having to use the different coloured snowman to catch the different snowflakes. Nice twist on the simple catcher mechanic. As you've mentioned would be nice to see a post comp version which fixed the issue of the snowflakes on opposite sides for same colour.
Fun little platformer, the sound and visuals are nice and simple but work so well together. I did have an issue where I died in a later level and got thrown back to the previous one but was stuck in a wall.
Think the minimalist look works well with the snow. Wasn't expecting so much depth and liked the way the lab research had a lot of variety.
Shield was a bit too hard to understand at first but overall nice entry and congratulations on finishing your third entry. Think the player movement and shooting could be slightly faster to help with defending the line and would be nice to be able to see your score as you're playing. My top score was 124.
Clever concept with breaking the screen and using the lighting to reveal more of the stage.
The reaction of shooting the enemies is so well done, like that they get pushed back and you can use them against each other. Great job making this in 22hrs and looking forward to seeing the mobile version.
This is really fun and was a nice surprise seeing the text when you ran over the flowers. Game is difficult but I think that works perfectly for this. Could see myself passing plenty of time on this when I have a spare few minutes. Great entry.
Thanks everyone. Yep it's way too short and not enough gameplay. Ran out of time and didn't get to spend as much as I wanted adding the levels. Had ideas for other scenarios which I didn't get time to do but hoping to expand upon the concept later.
Thanks everyone glad people are liking the animations and concept, know it's not much of a game at the moment but working on expanding it. Have lots of ideas to work with so excited for that. Will update on my Twitter as I work on it.
Nice to see people are liking the visuals and yep the complaint about it being too short is definitely noted. Working on extending this now so hopefully I'll be able to fix the biggest complaint. Also have removed the tick in the post LD version (don't know what I was thinking with that, think it was the lack of sleep). The animation is rotoscoped, something I've always played with so thought I would try for this LD.
Clever mix of genres and liked the way you have the different players as your different balls, fun entry.
Unique take on the theme but as others have said was a bit confusing. Think if you do keep on working it will be interesting to see what a more polished version plays like.
Liked the clean design and the challenge of having to think quickly, even if I wasn't very good at it. Eventually did get the hang of it though.
Great graphics, really liked the designs but I did get stuck at times where I couldn't move for awhile. Also would be nice to play a longer version.
Interesting snowmen builder even if I didn't have a real clue what all the different options were I couldn't stop clicking.
Great mini little game. Graphics are some of the best I've seen so far and the theme was used really well. Loved the way the players had their own goals and looks are random, adds an element of surprise especially when playing on separate gamepads. Explosion was a bit loud on my headphones but a fun entry that I'll come back and play more.
Fun game and liked that you were able to restart by clicking one of the dead robots. Although I was disappointed I couldn't come back as one of the tanks since they blew up. Had an issue with the audio dropping out and not coming back on. Also think less text in the title screen would be better. Fun game though and congratulations on finishing this during finals.
One of the best uses of the theme I've seen so far, great game with great music and visuals. Top notch entry, loved it.
@Alexandre Szybiak the final diamond is in the top left.
The depth of play is great. Liked the look of the character and the colours you've used.
Fun little versus game with interesting challenge added by the navigation. Like that you've added a post LD version with a single player option because that really helps when there's no one else around.
The audio works really well at setting the mood but did find myself getting confused with what was occurring. Impressive entry though for your first 3D attempt and colours are great.
Really liked the graphics, thought your colour choices worked really well and liked seeing the evolution occur. Got upto 27080 points and then my guy seemed to stop moving, think I overfed him. Nice entry and would be nice to see it expanded upon with more content.
Such a smart take on the theme. The resizing window aspect proved really interesting and was a nice touch, was good to know that if you didn't like the layout then you could just change it.
The button animation and overall design is amazing, loved seeing what would occur even if I wasn't quite sure how it all related. Great unique entry that I can't stop playing trying to uncover all the different endings.
Beautiful looking game that's calming to play. Loved the character designs and think with a bit more variety in the gameplay this could be something really special. Liked the movement of the sun and moon and the way it transitioned between the players.
Simple idea really well executed. Liked the dialogue and audio, thought they worked really well in building the tension in having to stay focused. Did begin wondering after awhile if the commanding officer would ever command me to push the switch but luckily I had a friend come talk to me to pass the time.
Liked the ink artstyle you have going on and the way you've added variety with the extra characters. Music also works well at setting the mood.
Loved this game, one of my favourites so far with really great mechanic. The flick was such a fun movement just enjoyed flicking myself around even without an opponent. Would be great to see a post comp version with the bugs ironed out and enemy AI. Great job though, will definitely be playing this more.
Nice puzzle game, liked the simplicity in design. The timer works really well in starting the panic when you are struggling to find a pattern.
Music worked well in setting the bleak mood and liked that you could see the bombs destroying the ground.
Congratulations on finishing your first LD entry. Liked that the player can choose different dragons and each ones powers are actually unique not just different colours. Made it to level 10 but would be nice if when you died it paused for a second so you can see how far you made it before restarting.
Polished entry with great graphics. Liked playing but think it would have been better if it started slower with having to only collect a few people to throw into the alien. Then difficulty increasing and more people to collect.
Clever unique entry that was really fun to play. Loved the graphics and playing the games within a game.
Fun game which reminded me of the old winter Olympics games. The art is great and loved the TV board, great humour.
Beautiful, clean minimalist design which work nicely with the gameplay and music. Did find the navigation a bit difficult though in reaching the hearts.
Brilliant game with really nice animation. Absolutely loved playing through and seeing what the reactions were to the different options. Also liked how the clues were spread around the room. The cutest entry I've played so far, one of my favourites.
Nice first LD entry, liked the old school arcade feel of this withe the simple addictive controls. Did have an issue with my screen resolution being set to small so the score and bottom shields were hidden.
Great use of the theme, really enjoyed just moving between the screens and seeing the effect take place. The player movement was also a nice touch, liked the way he would flip when jumping to the side or falling sideways.
Great job on a first entry. Liked the way you added the management aspect to the space shooter and the simple visuals worked well.
Quite addictive fast play game, enjoyed the graphics and the time slowdown worked really well. Highest score I got was 19,250.
Fun game that reminded me of the little prince which is always a nice thing. Liked the defending your planet aspect and the different magic you had to use.
I've always been pretty horrible at bullet hells and this is no different. I can't seem to last very long but still couldn't help but keep trying to make it further, which is a definite sign you've achieved making a bullet hell. Liked the way you could use the focus to see your hitbox, was a nice touch.
Thought the crazy chaos worked well and is a pretty good symbol of what Ludum Dare is. Did die lots but liked the challenge and was fun trying to figure out which walls I needed to destroy to make the shortest path to the portal.
The sword animation is great, really liked the movement of it and could see this working well on mobile as a time killer.
Clever concept and quite addictive. Music was also great and worked well at setting the tempo.
Liked the challenge of the navigation, added another element to the game with having to re-organise your thinking.
Another great entry, everything feels so polished. Did take me awhile to figure out what to do once I'd started the fire and gone to bed but once I'd played around a bit I was able to figure it out. Loved the mood of this one.
Fun little game with great art style but did notice the jump button seemed to get stuck at times.
Interesting take on the theme with a simple concept that works well. Liked the way you have to keep your eye on the whole screen and pay attention.
Like the way you used the theme and the opening with the player getting stuck in the tv was a nice touch. Music was one of the best I've heard this LD and really helps in setting the slow, puzzle mood of the game. Can understand why the character moves slowly and think the slowness issue could be solved if the character fell a little faster. Would be easier when you miss a jump to know you'll fall quickly down so you can try again. Fun puzzle game and the flipping numerous ways great.
Made it to the Diamond but couldn't make it out. Nice little stealth game and liked the way you have to use the lighting for navigating past the guards.
Such a great, polished, addictive entry. Loved the art and music and ate away a lot more time then I'd expected playing it.
Art is great, really polished and the intro audio worked really well in setting the mood. Did have issues with sliding through walls and objects and out of the screen but impressed at how polished the audio and graphics are. Also demons appearing was a nice touch.
Fun addictive entry. Music worked so well and loved all the different buttons. Did get a bit confused with the third panel though, hadn't realised you needed to click on the actual lever to use it.
Great graphics, one of the best looking entries I've seen so far, but had the same issue as already mentioned that it did get a bit confusing how the interface works. Did have fun seeing what random potions I could make by mixing stuff together and was able to fulfill some orders. Would be nice to see this further polished because the graphics are great.
Graphics work so well with the audio, was fun to play but would have been nice to have seen a planet at the end. Definitely understandable that there wasn't one with the time, I know how it is. The mood was the best I've seen so far in an entry, you really set it well with the opening tasks. Hoping you expand upon this.
Liked the art style, just wish there was a bit more content. Clever use of the theme though and that music was great, worked really well in game.
The slimeball turning into a spike that could destroy things was an interesting mechanic. Would be nice if you could have more feedback to how much you're charging up cause it did take me a bit to figure out how much I was charging. Although it was fun to just charge up alot and see where you'd end up.
Impressed at the size of this and how polished it felt. Liked the different tools especially the rope mechanic. The music was also nice and worked well at giving the game this old western town mood.
A well done stealth game, impressed you made this in such a short time. The time gun is a clever use of the theme. Enjoyed figuring out the different layouts just had issues with the camera at times.
Unique entry with nice graphics but as others say just wish there was more. Although I know you lost your work during the time so understandable.
Great graphics which isn't a surprise anymore. Love the amount of character you can put in such small sprites. The shield mechanic was well done and like that I felt like I was playing as Captain America. Hoping to see more levels.
Nice game, reminds me of the old space harrier game in style. Liked the art and just wish it was more finished.
The mood set in that opening menu is beautiful. Nice way of getting the player into the game. The sword and flying mechanic was an interesting twist but did take some getting used to. Overall very impressed with the graphics you were able to do in the 48hrs.
Felt like a complete game with gorgeous graphics and music that really suited the game style. Did feel it should have probably started easier to let the player get used to the controls more. Great entry.
Beautiful looking game with a great mechanic. Liked the use of text in setting the mood and the way the mouse and keys were incorporated worked really well. Did take me a second to figure out the jump shoot boost but liked that you left it to the player to figure out.
The art is nicely done with good feedback for the hits. I like that you have a specific goal with defeating the 100 pinatas and can see how you are going as you play. The going between screens also worked well in keeping the game feeling really open.
Such a brilliantly simple game. Loved it and definitely the funniest use of the theme I've seen so far. Will be playing this one again.
Fun game with great art. Liked the use of the theme and thought it was incorporated well into the western setting with the wok. Music also gave it fun vibe which was a nice touch.
Took me a second to figure out how to play but once I had I thought it was a fun unique game. Like seeing different entries in Ludum Dare so enjoyed playing this. Could see this also working well on a mobile.
This is fantastic, loved every second if it, thought it was so well done and polished. The physics of the helmet is amazing and loved how sometimes when you'd do a big jump it would fall off. Gorgeous graphics and the simple sound worked so well. Definitely one of my favourites so far and one I'll be coming back to play.
That level layout is great, liked the you must go down part, thought it was nicely done. The simple colour choice also worked really well. Those birds are a helpful bunch.
The voice acting is perfect for this game, loved everything about this one. Graphics are so cute and the puzzle concept with the hats is a clever one. Colour choices in this game are great. Also need to mention that title screen which was awesome. One of my favourites so far.
This was a clever entry, thought it was well thought at and presented. Nice to see someone try and approach the theme with a message. Also figured out how to win the game without harassing anyone and liked how simple yet effective it was. Well done.
Great looking game, loved the character design. Trying playing the web version but didn't run very well on my computer so I switched to windows version which played alot better. The slowing down the falls while shooting was a nice touch also.
Impressed you were able to get in multiplayer and a level creator in the short time you had. Just had issues as people have mentioned with the background colour being to strong a colour on the eyes while playing for awhile.
Fun game just wish the zombies attacking were a little bit faster to put more pressure on the player to speed up. Liked the amount of weapons you got in though and nice feature that you can modify and add your own ones.
Liked that you started with just the basics and then as you played you gained more moves. Kept me playing just to see what the next thing would do.
The music in this is really good and I liked the brawler aspect with the books. Nice use of the library setting.
Extremely polished entry, loved the graphics for this game and thought the characters had so much personality. The zoom ins was also a really nice touch that helped with the flow of the game. Really impressed.
Definitely pulled of the Hotline Miami vibe which is impressive in just 48hrs. Liked that you included the variety of masks also.
nice use of the theme. Really liked the way you had to put yourself in danger at time to get that teleport kill happening. Very clever entry.
The graphics are really well done but I had some issues where I jumped through a wall and ended up stuck inside the ground. Also jumped from a cliff and just kept falling.
Graphics are great and the Nunchukkats are a great weapon choice, I'm sure they'll become mainstream in no time. I did suck at the chain jumps though. The difficulty increased to quickly for me to get used to the controls before pulling off a triple combo. Fun entry though
Great looking game. Did get a bit easy once you got really upgraded and could just stand in the middle holding shoot.
Hilarious, got to a population of 127 and became the number 1 resort for party inclined gods and heroes. Quite proud of my effort. The audio was also brilliant and really made you want to get some combos to hear it. Great entry, one of my favourites so far.
Fun game with really nice colour palette. Thought the design in this was great, from the title screen fonts to the look of the game. Did get stuck in the wall at one point and couldn't get back out so that was a bit annoying but once I restarted it didn't happen again. The dialogue is also nicely done and sets the scene well.
Had an issue where the down button seemed to stick and my player would keep moving down even if I released the key.
Liked that you had the animals help with the fight back against the robots and that you had time to include a boss. Took me awhile to beat him but once I had, I liked the surprise ending.
Well executed game. Liked the smoothness of the movement and the landscape you're placed in. The random objects in the space really give the game a unique feel. Would be nice if the eye blink was randomized from left to right.
The mood in this is nicely done. Enjoyed the glimpses into this other world which leaves you with so many questions. The art style is unique and works really well, just wish the buttons and text fit a bit better with the rest. Did end up playing through a few times to see the other results.
Weird, crazy entry which was a fun ride. Loved the music you choose which worked really well with the whole concept you were going for. The dialogue was also great.
Liked the funny intro, nice explanation of the kermit weapon. The move set was also well done and liked trying to combine them.
I sucked the first time I played cause I wasn't sure what I was doing. But once I figured it out and played a second time I started to get the hang of it. Still took me three turns to make it through but that's probably just the style I was playing in and it's a good sign that I wanted to play through three times. Liked the concept, thought it was cleverly done. A restart button would have helped but can understand you saying you didn't want to add it at the end in case of bugs I had the same issue almost.
The controls seemed to stuff up for me where I couldn't go anywhere but straight or back and as Birke mentioned it would be nice if the text at the start was a bit more distinguished with who was talking. Maybe even just changing textbox colour depending on who was talking. Character dialogue was well written.
Nice entry. Liked the feel of the player movement, felt like I was in control of where I wanted to be. I wasn't the greatest at it though with the use of the flashlight. My highest kills was 7 and that took me sometime to get.
Felt like a complete game, great graphics and the music works really well. Liked everything about this entry and impressed how much you got in, in the short time.
Nice mix of crafting and match-3. Ended up being pulled into the game more then I expected and played this for awhile seeing what the results would be.
Interesting variety of spells and did find myself playing for a lot longer then I'd intended which is always a good sign.
Unique entry which was a nice surprise to find. Liked that you left it to the player to decide how they wanted to approach the problem.
Fun entry, nice to see an entry use the theme in this type of way. Liked the character Rico and how he was able to turn his enemies into friends. Thought that was cleverly done with the blocks they'd carry. Would be nice if the positive word he was throwing was a bit more visible and if you could randomize it with different words each time he threw them. Was also impressed at the size of the map layout.
Loved the music and the way once it started the room started moving to it. Was a nice touch. The graphics are also great and I like that you included an ending screenshot.
The warning about finding a weapon straight away was a good one cause I was killed quite quickly the first time I played.
The graphic style is great. Liked the title screen design and the character look just wish there was more gameplay to compliment it all.
Mood was nicely set up with the visuals and story. You got a lot into the game in the space of 48hrs. As others have mentioned I would probably just move the camera a bit further out to give a bit more breathing space when playing.
Good game to pass the time while destroying a city. Liked the title screen and name. Reminded me of the old monster movies which was great cause I know what I was getting myself into even before I played.
Fun game with interesting use of the clone idea. Found the last level quite difficult but the ending made it worth it. Also liked that when you completed a level it would go back over the level you completed. Thought that was a nice touch. Do think a skip button would help though for replayability cause you don't always want to watch the level again. Overall a really clever concept with a nice use of the theme.
Clever use of the theme. Liked the way you kept the player wanting to keep going to see what was the next weapon to appear.
Beautiful looking game as always. Liked the adventure game aspect just wish it was longer but did like that I had time to play it all the way through. Always impressed at how much you're able to get done in 48hrs.
Fun platformer although quite difficult at times with the jumps. Felt really polished and complete though and the movement of the player was quite smooth, which did make me blame myself for missing jumps rather then the controls and kept me retrying.
Those cat gun sound effects are great, kept me shooting them. Did wish you didn't get stuck at the bottom of the screen if you went down the platforms.
The character with her blanket is adorable, really nicely animated. Also liked the story and how you've used the theme with the blanket.
Was satisfying to get a hit on the zombies.
Beautiful looking game and thought the gameplay was an interesting change from the other entries. First one of it's kind I've played which makes it stand out.
The concept was interesting with the combination of the movement by slinging and the tongue to attack close up.
Game visuals with the cloud background reminds me a bit of braid atmosphere. Did get a bit lost while playing.
Another great polished entry. The level design was really well done and the differences and pacing in levels kept me playing on for just one more level. Graphics and audio also worked well in setting the mood with the text.
Clever use of the theme, liked the selfie photo as a weapon idea. Just wish the movement was easier when using the reverse camera.
The lighting works well in setting the mood. Did find myself just running from room to room at the start but once I figured out how to use the mechanics better it got more interesting. Liked the concept and thought it was well executed.
Nice title and impressed that you were able to get a few different vehicles in that actually had differences besides visuals. Did find it really hard to not kill civilians but they should have probably stayed out of the sight of a giant mech. Graphics are great too, liked the blend of 3d and 2d
Thanks everyone
@fluidvolt I was going for an old school feeling with the graphics so thanks for the C64 comment. Did want to include more paths with more epilogues but ran out of time.
@hissssssssss was aiming this time to go for something short that would feel like a complete package. Ran out of time last LD so didn't want that happening this time. Also have wondered if anyone will have the patience to try and defeat the guy, we'll see I guess.
@SyBen wanted to try something different for the unconventional weapon so glad you appreciated my take on it.
@Hammers was going for something different with graphics from my usual vector style so thanks. Still interested to see if anyone goes the whole way with the battle but just not going to promise it will be worth it LOL.
@vegard1992 me too.
@BraindeadGeo thanks nice to see people are appreciating my take on the theme, was worried about that.
@PapyPilgrim definitely good suggestions and if I get the chance, it would be good to expand it a bit more with more of a buildup for the big reveal.
@jojocanard cheers with the lack of sleep I did feel like I was incoherently writing which might have actually helped.
@dusho thought I'd try something different for me and try going with a message :)
@Mizipzor really great to hear, always appreciative to hear people are enjoying my stuff and you're right music would definitely help in setting the mood.
Thanks everyone, would respond to each of you but quite a few comments since I last checked. Nice to see that so many people are getting my little game and the hard work paid off. Was a bit delirious at the end so was starting to doubt myself.
Will definitely be playing everyone who's commented games when I get the chance later in the week, so looking forward to that.
Cheers everyone
@Anas Azmi the title actually changes depending on your actions.
@tanjent that's great point, I am going to keep working on it and think that's a great point about the sound. I'm pretty hopeless and don't really know what I'm doing with audio but I'll try and figure out how to do that cause think it would really help.
@panurge thanks and yep Skull Crusher is a wise guy. Also looking forward to expanding the game and explaining the name more since I didn't get time this Ludum Dare.
@kirbytails7 thanks and yeah it's pretty heavy handed but didn't have time for subtlety with the 48hrs. Hopefully I can flesh it out with the expanded version a bit more so it doesn't feel so in your face.
Thanks everyone, nice to see people are still playing.
@sebasRez I'm hoping to expand on this just busy with too many projects at the moment. Will do updates on twitter when they happen.
@Tselmek WOW, I'm impressed. Didn't expect that but don't worry its coming just need to get time to do it, since I wasn't expecting it to happen :)
@denycetm that is such a great compliment, thank you for that. Made me smile and really glad to hear that, hope she liked it.
@nuprahtor wanted to try something from my usual art style so glad that it worked out.
@esayitch thanks and yep plan is to definitely add more animation with the expanded version.
@deadbodyoutline good suggestion, I've now added those keys to the post comp version.
Thanks everyone, great to see people are still playing and liking my entry. Would respond to each of you but crazy busy at the moment.
@freaknarf WOW, impressed. You're the last one on the list. Just moving houses at the moment so might take me abit to finish. And there's actually three endings.
Fun game, liked how the cats fell asleep as soon as they landed. Did notice that my score wasn't restarting when I died so I just continued from my previous score each time.
Crazy hectic fun, most fun I've had so far with an entry. Liked how addictive it was and that I couldn't stop playing until I was the last car standing. Although when I did when the game closed by itself. Liked the graphics and thought they worked well in setting the hectic atmosphere.
Nice concept and liked how you had to figure out how to use the opponents weapon and environment to take them out. Took me a few turns but once I figured it out it was quite fun. Seems like its a player versus player puzzle game hybrid which is interesting. Would be nice to see more levels but understandable with the timeframe for ludum dare.
Liked the graphics and music, thought they worked well. Could see this playing nicely on a mobile.
Impressed you were able to finish a strategy game in the time. Did seem to have issues where I couldn't see what to do once I defeated the guys in the first screen. After awhile more guys came in but I couldn't seem to move the screen over.
Liked the concept behind the game just needs to progress in difficulty and it would feel more complete.
Took me a few goes to realise who the aliens were but once I did I as able to get on a roll. Could see this working on a mobile.
Nice rhythm game. Liked the music, thought it was nice to listen to and definitely helped because I suck at rhythm games but was able to enjoy the game for the music. Think the simple design also worked well in the contact of focusing on the gameplay and music.
Unique take on the theme and the colour theme worked really well with the concept.
Nice mood and liked the simple minimalist graphics, think they worked well. Did have issues at times navigating the controls, with my character seeming to move a bit sporadic.
Nice job finally submitting something. Fun game if a bit difficult at times with some crazy words. Good entry though and liked the music.
Those graphics are great and the music was best I've heard so far, well done. The wrecking ball swinging through was a nice touch.
This was quite addictive. I think I died about 30 times before I finally got to the queen but I just couldn't stop playing until I completed it. The quick restarts really helped pull the player in for just one more game. Nice job.
Interesting colour choice and the music was great, definitely gave me some laughs.
Great game, enjoyed this one. Was quite addictive driving the car and seeing how much damage you could create. The graphics are also great, definitely a standout.
Can't really complain about a game were the main weapon is a beard. Nice take on the theme.
Liked the concept and the pig and wolf design were great. Did find the controls a bit difficult and not responsive enough for movement at times though.
Fun game, liked the concept and gameplay kept me trying to beat my own score. The player movement was really smooth and I felt in control which kept me playing.
Nice little game and like the way you used the dialogue as a way of communicating with the player at the end. The swaying of the player was a nice touch with the time limitations. The visuals worked really well and will be interested to see if you expand the world.
Great mechanic, liked this entry but just wish the physics were slightly different cause I struggled with the movement. Fun game though and liked trying to figure out the different levels.
Impressed with how much content you were able to get in, in such a short time. Also liked the way you could use the camera flash to get past the little girls, was a nice touch. Music worked well in setting the dreamy mood.
Favourite weapon was the air blast which worked really well with enemies on platforms or edges. Got the herbs at the end.
Liked the way you used light and dark to set the mood of the game with the music working to enhance it further. Did find it a bit difficult at time to notice if I was moving. Maybe more movement to the box when moving would help. The font was also a nice choice.
Definitely a unique entry and the way you incorporated the gamepad sticks was really clever.
Gameplay was fun and the graphics are great. Those toasters just keep going and going. Did find the difficulty should have probably gotten harder quicker but besides that a really nice entry.
This is great and perfect timing since I'm meant to be going to Japan in June on a holiday. Had fun trying to remember everything I learnt back at school.
Nice game. Liked the way the character is standing behind the wall at the title screen, thought that was pretty clever. The instructional letter blocks were also useful and nicely designed so they weren't in your face. The rocket jump was a nice move. Did feel like the music was a bit disattached from the game though.
Quirky entry with clever concept and nice use of the theme but I did have trouble coordinating the lighting and opponents dance moves but that's probably just my bad.
Interesting use of the theme, thought it was well thought at and the game looked great with the music really helping to set the somber mood. Did have issues though of not being able to keep going at time even when I waited for blocks to be destroyed cause I wouldn't be able to move as I was the one hit. But guess that just helps further the stories message.
Liked the art style and thought the way you used the name to generate the player was a clever touch.
This game is brilliant, such a polished entry. Loved the look of the game and the way the world keeps existing when you die so the destroyed terrain stays that way. Liked also how you had to use the enemies to make paths for you at times and the way you could decide how you would approach the design of the level. Very clever.
Graphics are nice but I just wish there was a bit more gameplay cause I ran around shooting but didn't really feel like anything was happening. Understandable though with a Ludum Dare deadline to submit.
Beautiful graphics but as others have mentioned the decorative bushes do confuse at times. Also had issues of sliding of platforms when close to the edges. Solid platformer though, so nice job.
Really enjoyed this one, one of the most clever uses of the theme I've found so far. Only thing I didn't like about it is that it made me realise how bad my coordination is. Would be interested to see a video of someone with skills play. Also agree with kikijin that the other control order might help. Definitely one of the games I've noted to play again later.
This was really fun, especially for a game that only involved the click of one button. Thought the design was well executed and the layouts worked. Just wish there was some way you could have an impact on the numbers being rolled somehow. For a first Ludum Dare and not being an art guy you've done extremely well. The landscape compliments the gameplay with the battle scene and dice.
You can also expect your other thing later :)
Nice use of the theme and liked the simplicity of the mechanic, cleverly done. The intro drawings were a great way to setup the game.
Liked the way you had to use the racket to hit the shuttlecocks at the zombies, gave it an interesting aspect to the weapon choice. Also the variety with the jump hit was a nice touch from the ground hit.
Seemed to get stuck for me in the shop for a minute but then loaded the playground. Then the controls didn't seem to work so I couldn't actually play. Will come back and try again later.
Had the intro bugging out when I tried to play but once the game started it seemed to fix up.
Simple design done well. Liked the little touches you gave it with the movement of the buildings and the way the money was thrown. My highest score was 13.539.047.187.
Hilarious how some of the cops chase you on their side. Thought it helped add some character to the car chase.
Nice beat em up concept with good explanation of the theme. I seemed to have an issue though where my weapons kept running out pretty quickly and then I couldn't attack any longer.
Loved this game, thought it was really well done. The mechanic is great and the levels reminded me of the old Rick Dangerous game. The character movement is very fluid and nice to control, easily one of my favourites so far.
Beautiful looking game. Couldn't stop myself playing trying to reach the surface. Only thing I can suggest is having some sort of visual representation of how close you are to the goal. Even if when you died it said you were 100 metres from the surface. This way the player would know if they are getting better or worse. Extremely nice polished entry though.
So much fun. Liked the character customisation, thought that was a nice touch. Had a good time playing this one and can see myself playing this against friends on a big screen.
Good game, liked that you made it in the fighting style, thought that was interesting. Think it would work a bit better though if it was a bit faster paced and the health bars drained faster. The art in this is also done really nicely reminds me of playing the old street fighter games on the amiga.
Fun concept and liked how crazy big you could get in this. The music also worked really well but I did have issues where I got so big I started to become see through when too close to the camera.
Nice first entry and like that it is a unique entry from the usual games. Did get a bit confused with what was occuring at times and what the results were.
Congratulations on finishing your first Ludum Dare. I liked the graphics, the alien look worked well with what the game was about and the simple sound effects brought some life to them, nice job.
The text was great, really liked the way you did the Title Screen text. Did wish it was a bit harder though but congratulations on completing your first Ludum Dare.
Interesting take on the theme. Took me a second to figure out what I was doing but once I realised what I had to do I thought it was a clever idea. Couldn't pass the third level. Might have helped with a bit of text at start of each level.
One of my favourite graphics so far. Not polished but so much style. The designs and colours used work so well and that title screen and death screen are so cute. Loved the design of this one just hoping you are able to expand a bit more on the gameplay aspect to compliment the awesome graphics and nice music.
This was great, pwned the game. The arrow physics was well done and liked trying to figure out how to get past each screen. Nice little challenge and would be interested to see more levels.
The grainy look was a nice touch but I did have some issues with the game lagging at times.
The mood of flying through space is really well done on this and the use of haiku was a clever take on the theme.
Definitely a different take on the theme :) Was really fun to play and quite addictive. Did notice an issue when I died outside the boundary my health kept dropping past 0.
That give em love title is great, really like the design of it. Fun game and played it till the end with a score of 293. Would be nice to see more levels but really solid entry for first Ludum Dare.
Liked that you use your testosterone to turn the bats into big balls that you kick around. Pretty funny concept :)
Had issues for some reason with the game running slowly at times but when it ran at normal speed I did like the gravity mechanic.
Got a highscore of 9000 so was pretty happy with that. Took me a few turns to figure out the best way to approach it but once I did it got a lot easier to predict the angles to use. Nice simple design done really well.
Fun little game. Liked the fast paced gameplay and the level layouts.
Great mechanic with the water as a weapon, thought it was a nice use of the theme. Did notice it says "Best of 3" but it actually seems to be "First to 3". Fun entry
Great polished entry, one of my favourites so far. Really funny and such a clever use of the theme. Graphics were great and music worked well with the action playing out. Would like to see an expanded version of this with more outcomes and actions/responses.
Fun game and great effort for a first Ludum Dare. Thought the design of everything looked great. Did seem to get a bug where the death animation of the aliens looped a few times before they disappeared.
That heart mechanic is implemented really well. Was interesting to just throw it and follow its path with the camera. Great graphics and the puzzle aspects are nicely done.
Gorgeous graphics, the drawing style is great. The concept is also pretty hilarous with the cats being controlled with a laser pointer, thought that was clever. Only thing I'd suggest as people have mentioned is to improve the jump.
Interesting game. Thought the music was really well done and helped set the mood. Found my self watching the title screen for a bit just listening
Beautiful looking game which is really nicely designed. The colour choices are great but as you've already mentioned I think different colours for the different players roads would have helped.
Unique use of the theme which was a nice change. The atmosphere was well done with the music working to enhance the feeling of the piece. Didn't understand everything I was seeing in the messages but did enjoy trying to interpret it all into a cohesive story.
Nice platformer, with a good puzzle design. Did find one of the later levels with the groups of three guys you have to jump in between pretty difficult though.
Order was difficult to figure out but I really liked this. Thought it was clever and the art, music and setting worked well. Interesting interpretation of the theme and Guugle for the win.
Impressed with how much you got into a solo game. Did find the teleporter tricky to use, wasn't really sure how it worked at first.
Great looking entry, the graphics look so polished. Also liked that the ribs are your energy and your weapon, was a nice touch.
This was really fun. Had a great time just seeing the different moves and causing as much destruction as I could. As others have mentioned an end goal would really complete it though. Feel like this should be used as a mini game for Shaolin Soccer since I did get the urge to go back and watch it after playing.
I love that character idle animation, the way he floats looks great. Puzzles with the power was an interesting mechanic but did find I needed to restart a few times because I got myself into unwinnable positions. Music also suits the mood of the game really well, overall a really polished entry.
Fun clever game which explained the reason why dragons need all that gold, traps and help are costly. Was quite difficult at first play but once I realised I could run ahead and buy lots of traps it really helped. Nice entry.
Like Papers Please this one works well in drawing the player in. Liked the way the sounds and music worked with the graphics. Really nice entry and unique take on the theme.
Great polished entry with nice use of the theme. Did get stuck up high when I couldn't make a ledge high above, tried building a platform with the rocks but they kept going through the ground when I'd get them three up.
Loved the whole game design, the characters colours and animations just work so well with the platformer style. Tough challenging game which I couldn't stop playing. Nicely done and great polished entry. The news story at the start was also a clever way of setting the scene.
This was a great entry with polished graphics and audio. Liked the whole concept of using your life force as your movement and having to be careful with how you approached the later levels so you didn't end up turning to dust. Clever mechanic and nice use of the theme. Have added it to my list of favourites from this Ludum Dare.
Wondered around for awhile through the structures but didn't seem to find anything. Nice atmosphere though and think the footsteps might work better a little quieter since you walk around so much.
Fun game and the whole hydra mechanic was an interesting way to play. Liked that you could control the separate heads or control segments, thought that was nicely done. Also was a fan of the music, was a nice change from what I've been hearing in most games so far.
Just tried to play but the link isn't working. Will have to come back later and try again cause I like the screenshot provided and want to see how it plays.
I'm back and it's good to see that this is now working. Cute game with the graphics and audio and liked the little details you've added in with the animations e.g the skulls jumping when in the cart was a nice touch.
Having the same issue being unable to play. Will come back later and try again.
The art in this is lovely, some of the best visuals I've seen this Ludum Dare. The character design worked really well but I just wish there was a little bit more gameplay or an ending when you walk to the end. Think I must have missed the other ending. Beautiful entry though.
Great use of the theme and interesting to see how long it takes to adjust your mindset from what your instincts normally make you do in these games. The particle slime and blood effects were also a nice touch. One of the better entries I've played so far and couldn't stop until I finished, so just need more levels now :)
Nice game, liked the way you used physics aspects for the building destruction, controls were a bit floaty but with such a big time limit always hard to get everything right. Liked the rampage feel and the airplanes worked really well.
Interesting take on the theme and liked the level generator aspect of the game just wish the exits stood out a bit more because it took me a bit to figure out.
Nice looking platformer and the addition of extra moves to collect worked well. Liked the run animation thought it conveyed the fast movement and the orbs chasing you if you ran away from them was a nice touch
The atmosphere of this game is great, the visuals and music worked so well together. Did find the camera controls quite difficult though but still had a lot of fun trying to collect all the gold and just exploring the environment.
Great use of the theme. Loved the whole concept and execution just seemed to have issues pulling the gun out and moving around. But think it was just cause I'm on a laptop trackpad. One of my favourites so far though, liked the victim descriptions and thought they added some nice depth to your actions.
Great graphics and game was fun, just needed a bit less turning control and did die once without the restart button appearing.
The use of the theme is clever. Like that you play as Nessie and have to feed the myth by curing your loneliness. The blurry photos were also a really nice touch. Did find that my loneliness was hard to beat, might need a bit more easing into the difficulty. The menu display of jumbled notes was also a nice touch.
The art in this is great and makes the simple gameplay fun. Spent quite awhile just running around and jumping causing havoc. Cutest game I've played that had you stomping little people.
Such a great concept and take on the theme. I loved all those old horror movies so this one is perfect for me. The atmosphere with the audio and visuals was really well done, Loved the voice over dialogue thought it worked great. Only wish I could feel more in control of the spider cause I did find it quite hard to navigate. Would definitely come back and play a more polished controls version if you kept this going.
Interesting take on the theme and liked the way you had to use the different social networks to spread the "truths". The sounds worked well in the context and the text was fun. Did have issues at first figuring out what I was doing but after playing awhile I did get a hang of the sharing. Definitely understand with the time constraints it's hard to always make everything clear to the player so nice job on a unique entry.
Liked the take on Donkey Kong and thought it was cleverly done. The art style was polished and the gameplay with the different levels was fun.
Liked the use of the webcam, was a nice touch to go with the theme. Wish you'd had more time to fill it out more but can understand with the last minute decision that was hard to do. Funny entry.
The ending was a surprising and interesting take on the theme, nice to see a game push the theme further then what's expected. One thing I did find a bit distracting was the font. Think a pixel font would have worked really well with the great visuals of the game.
Another Ludum Dare down and another great entry. Found myself playing for longer then I'd care to admit. Great entry, liked the way you could see where you would drop below and the build up of attack and energy kept me playing just to see if next time I could go that little bit further.
Nice puzzle game which does take getting some used to but once you figure it out it becomes quite a fun game. Would have been nice to see the monsters tail looping into the game segment and shooting out it's random coloured segments which would keep expanding.
Great game, loved the whole atmosphere and feel of it. The audio worked really well with the graphics and setup. Also tried the post jam version and think it is a nice improvement, would be nice to see a future version that is slightly more forgiving with the shooters being a fraction slowly and then maybe getting faster in later levels. Definitely understandable with the time constraints for this version though. Nice job.
This was so much fun, just wish there was more levels cause I really enjoyed playing. The art was great and worked well with the story. Hopefully you keep going with this and release another version with more levels and the hunger mechanic adjusted to moves which I can understand you not doing with the short time you had.
Thanks everyone who's played so far. I seem to end up always creating weird worlds with weird characters. Next time I'm doing something more straight forward.
Cheers peeps. Glad to see people are enjoying it so far. Hard to tell when you're working on it and haven't slept how it'll actually turn out.
Also will make sure I get to everyone's games who's commented, just need to find sometime between work this week for it.
Haven't been able to play the game yet so can't rate. Downloaded the files and couldn't figure out how to run the game but will come back later on to see if there's been an update.
This was great, thought the minimalist use of colour with the black, white and yellow worked really well. Level layout also worked really well in guiding the player along without feeling like you're being to forced along the path. That music has also been my favourite so far. Right from the title screen it set a nice playful mood.
Polished game with nice gameplay and difficulty progression. Impressed at how much you guys were able to get in and keep things balance with educating the player on everything. Great entry and the switch mechanic worked really well.
One of my favourites so far for just crazy fun. Saw some posts on twitter about this so it's nice to get my hands on it. With a fire breathing seagull, who can ride a bike as the protagonist you can't go wrong.
Nice game, my highest score was 50 cause had issues moving faster on my laptop but still had fun. The design was well done and liked the monster eyes moving, helped add character.
Nice simple entry just needs a bit of tightening with the controls.
My favourite game so far. Absolutely loved the art and text, thought it was really nicely done. Big fan of old school adventures games so this hit the spot.
Cute game, like the style and look of the monster but wish the little guys also had a bit more character. The audio "I have to tweet about this" was also pretty funny, nice job.
Nice art, that title screen was beautiful. Liked the mood of the game and would be good to see this expanded upon.
Wow, this was great. Favourite game I've played so far. Everything felt so polished and thought out. The graphics were great and the change in lighting depending when it was time to play worked so well. Such a clever use of the theme also and can't fault you in any of the areas. Awesome job and nice to finally see the behind the scenes of a game set.
One of my favourites so far, with awesome art. The controls worked so well and fighting gameplay was quite addictive. Very polished entry.
One of the best looking games I've seen so far, loved the whole design and colours. Favourite touch though was that when things exploded you got to see you were actually just a kid in a costume.
Really great game and liked the way you used the theme, one of my favourite uses so far. Also liked the old command prompt like interaction but did run into a bug. I connected and spread around the world but then a bug seemed to occur where it says :
"Development Console" Canvas element contains more than 65535 vertices. This is not supported.
Liked reading the emails in the folders to find out more about what was going on too, well written.
Fun game and does make me want to go back and play an old text adventure.
Liked the story and the simple look and gameplay took me back to playing the old atari. Would be nice if there was a title screen setting the story though so I could go straight into the game knowing what was happening.
Nice game and spent more time playing then I care to admit trying to uncover the hero. Liked that when he shoots an arrow it reveals more tiles but I was still pretty hopeless and struggled to capture him. Fun game, nice job.
Great cute concept with nice use of the theme, just needed a bit more gameplay but definitely a great effort for a first ludum dare, nice job.
Funny cute entry, liked the little chaos monster and doing his job. Would be nice if in the bonus level when items are dropping there was a shadow on the ground showing where it'll land cause I couldn't tell. Nice simple entry.
Those damn pesky robots won't leave monsieur alone. Fun platformer and liked the way you made it so that the weapons were french things. Took me a few deaths before I realised I could shoot the rolling wheels, was just dodging them at the start and was actual a fun challenge. Also really liked the run animation bounce.
Art was great but did have issues with the gameplay where it felt like i was sliding around rather then driving a car. Did find it easier to run people over rather then shooting them.
Fun game with simple concept really well executed. Got a top score of 181.
Clever game and nice to see the other side of the story of a tamagotchi. Graphics are great and the multiple endings were a nice touch.
Just tried the windows link and it says the file no longer exists. Web still works though so was able to play it through that. This game was really well done, nicely executed and felt really polished. Played it all the way through and got the "best" ending. The dialogue is great and can't find any fault in this. Impressed at your age and this is now on my list of favourite games this Ludum Dare. Oh yeah, before I forget the music worked really well in setting the mood.
Was always a big fan of rampage so like that this reminded me of it. The monster looked great and the game got pretty hectic, pretty quick. As others have mentioned controls were a bit awkward but like any LDJam it's always easy to run out of time and you've definitely made a fuller experience then the last one which is great to see :)
Really interesting gameplay mechanic. Liked that you had to control the bullet to take out the targets but did find the controls on a trackpad a bit difficult, especially when going for the little guys on the floor.
Liked that you could choose to watch the village grow instead of attacking, thought that was a nice addition but did have a bug in the tutorial where I couldn't keep walking forward and the camera kept stuttering. Only lasted a few seconds though and then I could keep walking to the cave.
Fun idea, liked the whole Aztec boss mechanic with the two big fists. Hard to control both at times but I think that just made it more fun and crazy. Also liked the way the two hands would hit together with impact, was a nice touch. Those poor rabbits... Did find the second special level really difficult though and couldn't beat it.
The art in this is great, but did have issues with the loading time from the menu. Left the computer on and came back to it once it had loaded. The concept is I nice play on the theme and the insult graphics are nice, just was a bit confused on which ones to choose.
Cute take on the theme that is quite clever. Fun and quite addictive to run around and see if you can beat your last score. The graphics are also great and as you've mentioned the game is just missing some music which would really bring it together.
The graphics and mood for this one are fantastic. Liked the snake movement.
This is great, one of my favourite entries so far. The graphics are great, loved the colours and the audio was fun. Liked the movement of the player but did take me a bit to figure out how it worked. Would be good to have a little intro tutorial. Great game though, nice job.
Nice game with simple controls that worked really well. The chalk aesthetic was a great touch. Only thing I'd suggest is an option for alternate keyboard controls cause Q & D aren't natural for some people. Fun game :)
Nice art and atmosphere. As others have mentioned it would be good if the enemy bullets looked different.
Great looking game, the monster movement was also really smooth. Did find it difficult to destroy the planets but guess that makes sense since they are plants.
Great intro to set up the game and premise, definitely one of the strangest entries I've played.
Nice skateboarding entry, would be nice if the turning was a bit more polished but fun entry with clear goals.
Tough game, think it might help if it eased into the difficulty jumps a little bit more cause it took me awhile of playing before I could get past the first area. Liked the minimalist colour palette though, think it helped with the layout of objects when playing and player to focus on the path.
Really nice submission and liked the use of the theme. The burrow was also a really nice stealth move which was fun to play around with.
Fun game with nice addition to the runner of balancing your blood energy. Liked the animations of when you catch another runner but did have issues in my Chrome browser where when I clicked space the browser would go down the page and I'd have to move it back up to the game.
The standby music in this is great, works really well in setting up the waiting for your assignment to be completed. The simple design works well just wish there was a bit more gameplay variety.
The voice over is great, helps set the mood for the rest of the game. Found the wall jump a bit difficult to use but overall a nice entry.
Great looking game. Fun use of the theme and the voiceovers were hilarious. Very polished minimalist experience.
The art in this is really nice, liked the colours used and impressed with the detail. The variety of weapons was also a nice touch but I did find myself standing in one position mainly to kill them as they came at me but definitely understandable with the time limit. Fun game :)
This was a fun platformer. The evolution mechanic and upgrades were a great addition in keeping the player going. Kept playing just to see how the evolutions would look. Did find the speed and jump a bit too expensive though. Nice job.
Funniest take on the theme I've seen so far, clever use of the monster idea.
Great concept with the campaign and the writing was really well written. Made playing smooth because it was interesting to find out more. Also liked that you had to manage things.
Fun little game. Love how cute the graphics were with the job you had to do, the colours are great and the small pixel art worked so well. The text was also great and kept me playing to see what else would be said. Did get fired after my first day on the job though so think I need more practice. Did wish I could have reversed the car though cause there was times where I got stuck between trees
Interesting unique concept with some of the best graphics I've come across so far this Ludum dare. Another strong entry.
Funny entry, was well done. Liked the different newspaper endings. I left the theater which turns out wasn't the right move and then I completed the play but kept appearing at random which also didn't go down well. Cleverly done entry with the real time aspect.
Such a fun entry, really enjoyed playing this one. The dragon is really well animated and the flying handled great once you figured it out. Also liked that the arrows stayed in your body when you were hit, was a nice touch.
Nice entry with great visuals. Reminded of my old mac days with the black and white. Liked the take on the theme and the stealth aspect was well done. Was also a good touch to have the crew tally on bottom so you could know how you're progressing.
Great looking entry. The switching between the robots was a nice touch.
Clever use of the two button theme and the dialogue was nicely written. Weird quirky duck fun.
Always loved stop motion so was nice to see it being used. Really well utilised and the whole game is quite quirky and weird which works well with the dialogue. Really enjoyed this entry and definitely one of the most unique ones I've played so far. Only helpful thing I could say was to give more of a clue on which responses have which affect through more leading dialogue maybe.
The graphics in this worked well and liked the way that the horde just attacks. First game attempt I got completely destroyed before I even knew what was going on. But after that I learnt to gather support before messing with the enemy. Nice job.
Fun entry and liked that the crows came from different angles. The turning was also nice and smooth. Just wish I had a map to guide me of where they were all building up from.
The use of the theme was great and liked the variety that you were able to add with all the mini games which all worked as a whole.
Another Ludum Dare and another great unique entry. Never been much into the management games but the simplicity of this one really worked for me. Couldn't stop playing and enjoyed the peaceful gameplay of growing your own crops and exploring the island in search of the treasure.
Thanks everyone for playing and sorry for making you sit through that. Bit of a mess.
I am working on a post ludum dare version that'll be more like what I was intending.
Android link is also now fixed.
Will get around to playing everyone's games this weekend.
Thanks for playing everyone.
@alpha_rat you just need to click the left hand side of the screen to turn left and the right hand side. Or you can just use the arrows. But it's pretty buggy and the leeway is pretty tight so hard to miss the points.
@local minimum was actually thinking that the different paths would lead to different recipients and that would have an impact on the messages and conversations playing out. Some would end because they would be wrong receiver but others might lead into new conversations opening up. But definitely agree that it needs more obvious distinction.
@EvanEGibbs if I get some time on the side from Humqn Fishbowl, I definitely intend on actually improving this to how I envisioned it.
@freaknarf yeah always hard to do ludum dare with real life getting in the way. This time was especially bad with my scrapping all my first days work and starting again. Name just popped in my head and I liked the sound of it so it stuck. Think it was the lack of sleep.
@GeeItSomeLaldy yep controls are a mess and needed to be made clearer :)
Really nicely done, calming experience. Liked the idea of growing and developing your own bonsai tree and think this worked well. The music helped set the mood and the slow pace enhanced the soothing experience.
Did have an issue with one of my replays where the bonsai grew extremely large before I actually did anything. So two branches in and I was out of the screen. Not sure how it happened though. I was playing with windows version on windows 10 if that helps.
Interesting game especially with the control mechanic idea, although it was pretty difficult being precise as you mentioned.
Nice simple executed game. Would be nice if there was some coin variety though with different values so you would have to make a choice of which one to get.
Finally got the chance to play this and it is great. As with your other games I loved the art, so much character with all the interviewee's. Colour choices and designs are well thought out.
Took me quite a few tries to get the job but was just fun to play and see all the different questions being asked.
Enjoyed playing this and definitely took me back to the old gameboy days of playing the pinball gator game as others have mentioned. Had completely forgotten about it so was a nice reminder. Liked that you changed it up from normal pinball with the shape of a seed. Thought that added a twist on the mechanic. Think menu would really help but as I know well, it's always easy to run out of time and not finish everything you want. Also liked seeing a different type of game for another Ludum Dare :)
One of my favourites so far. Liked the way you used the theme but still kept it interesting by adding the combo element. Really worked well. Art was also nicely done, great job.
This is fun and nice and polished. The zooming out effect worked really well and added to the feeling of growing. Thought it was a great use of the theme.
This was a fun game. Liked the movement of the player and thought it was nice and smooth. Also the feeding and growing aspect was satisfying.
Such a clever use of the theme, like how you always seem to come up with an idea that isn't so obvious and straightforward. The platforming and framing aspect worked so well and was visually quite striking. Definitely one of my favourites so far.
Unique use of the theme and thought the overall design was quite interesting. Liked the look of the minions and stage but just wish the worship area stood out more in a white glow or just a different colour or something. Still plenty of fun pushing the minions around into spot.
Such a great looking entry, love the pixel art. Also the interpretation of the theme is very clever. Liked the shaping aspect and trying to figure out what the clients needed, was a nice touch.
Unique concept, liked the distortion effect and was a nice twist on finding the pixel game.
Quite a clever puzzle game and nice use of the theme. Took me 457 to complete it and just wish there was more levels. Nicely done overall with the music and simple graphics working well together. Did take me back to playing marble madness and trying to get around the mazes.
The ascii style was great at giving it that real retro vibe which worked nicely. Also liked that you allowed the player to setup the 5 keys before beginning. Definitely made it easier. The variety in the weapons also helped keep the gameplay interesting.
Liked the shock of running into furniture the first time, thought it was done well with the sound and art.
The art style in this was fantastic and that music was amazing. Looks like I've found a new band to follow which is always a good thing. The simple gameplay also worked well and was quite addictive in wanting to come back and last longer to hear more of the song. A nice touch. Definitely one of my favourite entries so far.
Liked the morphing mechanic and how you could combine the different body parts. Did have issues at times trying to morph where it didn't seem to be registering my key presses but besides that I enjoyed the structured level design and how different areas had unique looks. Was a nice touch.
Always hard to make something when you're not inspired by the theme but I like the proof of concept and think it has an interesting take on the shapeshifting mechanic. Also nice that it's helped benefit your personal project.
Clever use of the theme and nice combination of games. Liked how hard it becomes having to focus on two different playing styles and choosing between which shape to play with. Fun entry.
Such great style, loved the simple character design. The different character transformations were also a nice touch and throwing those ninja stars was too much fun.
The wobble walk was a nice way to bring character to the simple animations and worked really well. Liked the music and visuals and the simple puzzle aspects between the changes and characters needs was well done. That poor cat stuck in the tree.
Liked the use of the theme and the way you turned the changing forms into a puzzle game. Made it interesting to learn about the different forms and how they can get you further in the levels.
Really nice polished entry, liked the way the simple pico-8 graphics worked with the audio. Also was interesting to play a few times and figure out how to detect the shapeshifters, nice take on the theme.
Very nice use of the theme and I had fun seeing the show being created and changing it depending on my current whims. Sadly with my first play through I did resort to the zombies. The amount of detail and the writing was also top notch.
Always love the humour and quirky nature of your games. Thought this was another entry that worked really well and the dialogue was used cleverly to add a lot of character to the game. Also turns out my spirit animal is a dignified fox, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Liked the simple concept but I did suck at getting the positions right in the ludum dare version. Nice that you updated with the post version which definitely did help.
Interesting entry. Liked the terminal design and the mood you setup. Worked really well in putting the pressure on to find the mimics. Took me a few turns to figure out the patterns but thought it was a clever idea.
Such a fun little game to play on a gamepad. Liked the way you would have to distract with one hand while controlling the other to get the shape in place. Nice touch and great use of the theme.
Loved how just the descriptions of the different objects and their history gave you so much insight into the characters and the history. Great descriptions which made it feel like you wanted to know the story behind every object in the room. Great storytelling.
Beautiful looking game with smooth controls. Impressed at how polished it all feels. Only thing lacking is some sort of health feedback. Great entry.
Such a great unique entry which I can see working really well on touch devices. One of my favourites so far with lovely graphics, music and mood. Those little critters were adorable and the whole splitting mechanic was extremely clever. Also impressed with the amount of levels you were able to make in such a short time.
Fun little addictive game. Couldn't stop playing and was able to make it to level -6. Had a similar idea for my entry which I'm now glad I didn't go with cause it wouldn't have been done as well as this one.
Would be interesting if instead of being the ball you were actually fully extended and had to struggle to bring your limbs in to make it through the walls. Also you couldn't hold them in for long so that would explain why you would need to make the exact shape to get through.
The writing in this was nicely done, also liked how you had the story play out with your actions. Did have trouble with the controls and getting to the wolf at times.
Such a quirky entry, liked the way you focused on the overall experience. The addition of the ad interruptions was also a nice touch.
Interesting use of the theme within the constraints of chess. Liked the way you had to think through the pieces you had available and the action points you had. Also nice graphics.
Loved the amount of detail in this and the different use of the theme. Definitely got the noir atmosphere across well.
Clever game with nice level design and progression. Took me a little bit to figure out but once I realised how the shapes and barriers worked I enjoyed figuring out the levels.
One of the best looking entries I've played so far, such great graphics. Only issue I had was the walls you can't go through should probably stand out a bit more. Another LD though and another amazing polished entry, nice job.
One of the funniest entries I've played so far, love it. Like the way you handled the mirror aspect and used it to add more to the gameplay and story, very clever. Graphics are also great, definitely one of my favourite games so far.
Clever concept. Was quite fun to change between the plane and car and I liked how you needed the car to use the plane.
Such a clever puzzle game with nice clean minimalist design. Quite enjoyed playing this and could see it working well on a mobile. Also nice level design and progression.
Clever little puzzler. Liked the way you used the theme to create different problems that needed to be solved with it.
Enjoyed the tutorial and thought it was nicely set up to learn the different mechanics. Liked the humour you instilled in the text.
Nice polished puzzler. Impressed with the shader work you've incorporated into the graphics.
Really enjoyed the different mechanics for each character and the way you took over a body, was well implemented. Graphics also worked nicely, definitely a favourite so far.
Interesting, combination of gameplay elements. Took me a bit to realise how to play properly but once I did and got the hang of it, I was able to control the levels a lot better.
Nice concept, liked the way there was a pattern with which animals react to which shapeshifted animals. Would be nice if there was more feedback to make this more obvious with what is occurring.
Great looking game, loved the look of the world but did have an issue with collision detection at times. The use of the theme was also nicely done with the way the world changed.
Such smooth controls and gameplay, felt great to play. Liked the way you used the theme. The dungeon layout and exploration kept me playing longer then I expected. Very polished entry.
Spent way more time then I care to admit just stacking everything orderly in the truck. Fun game and liked that you had to also drive your load to put more pressure in how you stack everything. Want to give it another go later and see if I can get everything to the end. Nice job.
Nice take on the puzzle platformer. Liked how you would always need to get airborne before shifting matter, was an interesting mechanic. Also liked the graphics and the character design.
Interesting text adventure, which seemed to be quite poetic. Liked the writing but did get confused with what was happening and the options that you could choose from.
The style of this is fantastic, loved the way it all works so well together with the creature design and the fonts and layouts. Had fun just trying to create my character and impressed with how much variety you can get from it. Once in the game I found a few other creatures which was a nice surprise and when in the same tile it was interesting to see the molded design.
Those backgrounds are great, love the painterly feel to the game which helps give it a unique look from most of the other entries I've played so far. The puzzle and shape changes also worked really well and liked how difficult some of the later puzzles got. Thought it gave it all a nice challenge.
Fun voice audio and the concept was a great use of the theme. Clever fun simple game that was quite addictive to play. Also think the 30 second countdown was a nice additional pressure.
Nice simple mechanic that worked well gameplay wise. Would have been nice to have a restart button though cause I kept having to close the game and restart when I died.
Liked what you got done and think it works well as a quick experimental test. The changing forms was interesting to figure out how to progress through the levels and could see it becoming even more complicated in later levels. Also liked that the rushed ending is you turning back into yourself, was a nice simple quick way to end it and can definitely understand since I always seem to run out of time with my entries.
Great opening funny scene, loved the dialogue. Thought the humour was really well and done and the jokes worked well with the graphics and setting up the gameplay.
Fun game with nice level design. Liked that as you progressed you obtained new abilities which would further help you proceed. Was able to finish it and get all the keys but wasn't able to get one of the electrons which I could see was between the two crates.
Great atmosphere and nicely polished graphics. Liked the shock of first running into a spider and the panic when trying to outrun them.
Nice intro and liked the use of theme with the different forms. Also liked how each form was useful in navigating around the pyramid. Once I got the hang of it I was changing forms quickly to control my movement and breaking which felt really natural.
Interesting take on the theme and the whole mood was really well done. Did have issues with the gameplay especially the scene with the son who I seemed unable to interact with. Thought it was unique visually though with the top down view and the background shot of the room.
Such a simple but extremely well done game, impressed at how satisfying it feels to play. Everything just works so well with the graphics and music complimenting each other and the gameplay really placing pressure on the player to keep up. Definitely a favourite so far.
Quite enjoyed this one. The whole puzzle mechanic made me keep playing through the levels which is always a good sign. Liked having to look at the scene for a moment before deciding what I would need to do to complete the level. Fun game and could see it working well on mobile. Also the voices were great and added quite a bit of charm to the whole thing.
Fun fast paced puzzle game. Would be nice to receive some more feedback when you get connections though. But liked how quick it is to play, which makes it quite addictive to always be giving it one more go.
Absolutely loved this entry. It works so well and is so highly polished, great graphics and the whole changing mechanic is really clever. Only complaint I have is that I wish it was longer. Favourite entry I've played so far and will be coming back to play it again.

The hand drawn style and colours works really well, especially liked the tree and hills.
Such a great entry, loved the atmosphere setup with all the notes and the way you have paced everything with the story unfolding and the player progressing. The change was nice surprise and then addition of paint for colour was also really interesting. A favourite entry so far, nice job.
Such a well done, polished entry. Loved everything about it, the style, music and gameplay. Liked how if you kept shooting you'd increase your own difficulty.
Liked the visuals, thought they worked well and the animal changes was a nice mechanic in that the owl and ferret added a difference to the gameplay not just in looks. Did end up flying out of the stage as the owl though.
Such a clever game, really liked the way you used the theme. The levels were also well designed and progressed at a great pace to learn all the rules.
That prism shifting effect is really nicely done. Liked the way it helped set the mood and distinguish the game. Also liked the overall design and just wish there had been some music or sound but always hard to get everything done in such a short amount of time.
Took me a bit to realise you had to click on the pillars to start a level. Think maybe if they glowed or lit up then it might make it clearer they need to be clicked to begin. Fun game though and liked the different animal forms you could take. Got upto the last level but as you mentioned it's really hard. I couldn't get past the rapid change between the bear and hare. Great use of the theme.
Liked the style of this and thought it worked really well in setting the mood with the simple colours and music. The puzzles were also well done and I liked how you did have to work together to get the octopus to the end.
Do wish the tadpole had some contribution but can understand how hard it is to come up with so many puzzles that work together in such a short period of time. The form changes for the tadpole were also a nice touch and worked well in progressing the player. Also liked the menu and ending drawings thought they were nicely done.
Game reminded me of the cartoon Over the Garden wall which is a good thing.
Love the character design for this, really helps set a quirky fantasy world setting. The dialogue and situational humour was also nicely done. Favourite character for me was the duck.
Liked the way you had to conserve your changes to proceed and the visuals and music were nice and worked together. Did have an issue where the menu and instructions seemed to be cut off on my screen even if I tried the different resolutions.
Impressed that you were able to do a multiplayer game in such a short time, although I didn't run into anyone else while playing. Liked the different ship states but just wish the transformations happened quicker so I could fly around rapidly changing flying styles. Nice entry.
Such a clever take on the theme and the space shooter genre. Liked the feeling of attaching more guns to my ship and the impact of shooting enemies. Nicely polished entry with great style. Just needs a bit more variety with guns combining together to make a more powerful version but definitely understandable with the little amount of time you had to make this.
Fun game. Liked the graphics and the gameplay, thought the fights were really well done for a game jam.
Nice little arena fighter. Liked the different characters and how they clearly had distinguishing strengths from each other and the enemies.
Ghost guy looks cute and the animations are a nice touch. Loved the death one, thought it worked really well in the context of the game. Did have issues with the resting in the walls as a tile like others but overall thought it was a nice entry with the music and art working great together.
Interesting roguelike with the morphing mechanic. Liked how each morph had their own strengths and you'd have to decide which would work best at different opportunities. I did find Artemis vision a bit of a hassle but I guess that is part of the tradeoff.
One of my favourites so far and who knew pillows had such personalities :) Clever use of the theme and the art and dialogue was great. Couldn't stop playing until I'd finished so that's always a good sign.
Liked the drawn scribbled design, gave the world a really trippy feeling but did seem to fall through one of the holes and into another trippy world which I couldn't control my movement in anymore. Congrats on finishing your first jam.
Such simple clean design that works really well. Liked the feeling of passing through and collecting the hearts. Would be nice if you could switch shapes with different keys instead though would help with the rapid pace of the game.
Congrats on finishing a game in unity, always wanted to move to it but keep putting it off. Liked the concept of the different time zones representing the same war, interesting take on the theme. Would be nice to see the game polished further with feedback to being hit and shooting enemies.
Impressed with a multiplayer game done in such a short time and really liked the gameplay idea. Only issue I had was that no one else was playing when I was on so I just had a play with two different tabs and could see that it would be fun to play against someone else.
Nice simple shooter which I can see would work really well on mobile. Liked the different amount of upgrades available and the change in form. One little thing I noticed that I kept trying was to click the options text instead of just the box. Think it might be a bit more user friendly if the choice options went over the text also.
Had trouble figuring out how to play properly, felt like the controls weren't responding to what I was trying to do. But liked the unique visuals thought they worked really well and the menu was also a nice touch.
The text for this was pretty funny, liked the way you added humour to the game. Music was nice and the different shoot shape buttons worked well for me on my laptop.
The art in this is fantastic. Did take me a few seconds to realise my head was changing shape. Maybe if it also changed colour slightly it could help distinguish it a bit more. With more variety I can see this working really well on mobile. Nice polished entry.
Liked the way you played with the player and how much they want to push their luck before turning off the fire. I had quite a few cave ins before playing a bit safer. Was able to get to 1.9m before a cave in and giving up. Nice first entry.
Played this before it was taken down and have also played the new version. Liked the mashup of both games and how you implemented the ship and planet mechanic into the platforming. Cleverly done and can't even imagine the coding effort that went into that, congrats.
Liked the minimalistic style, thought it looked great and the cog design worked well in emphasising the mechanics. Would be nice if there was a bit more feedback in some way to see which way you are moving.
Loved the art style thought it felt really polished and worked well. Do wish the jumping and platforming mechanics were a bit tighter and did notice that at times if i turned my back on the enemies and used my sword I could hit them even though I wasn't facing them. Congrats on your first entry and looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Liked the trading mechanic and how you could learn words, reminded me of No Man's Sky and how you have to learn words as you play to understand how to communicate and progress. Art also was nicely done, and liked the location images and different characters.
Nice start to something. Liked the visuals and the ledge grab and movement seemed to work well. Did wish that the arrow keys also worked. I ran out of time for my entry so can definitely understand having an unfinished game and it's great that you learnt something with the screen transitions. Best thing of Ludum Dare is learning new things each time.
Liked the simplicity of the gameplay mechanic and the overall atari look you went for worked well.
Such a great entry, always loved the old lone wolf series so was a nice reminder to play this. Really nice writing and art and the quick play through and restart meant I could keep trying to see the different endings. Has made me want to pull out my old pick a path books.
Loved the retro vibe of this. Great design and the level layout was interesting. Did have issues with the jump and think that could be tightened up a bit more.
Enjoyed playing this, thought it was nicely designed and quite relaxing with the music and visuals. Liked the feel of the art and the concept of the kites and cannons. Do think it would feel nicer as csanyk said with player feedback if clicking the cannon directions actually shot the cannons. Instead of just selecting where you would be shooting from.
Definitely lives upto being a hard platformer. Liked the challenge and the humour. Was fun to keep running as far ahead as I could once dead to see what was further in front.
Liked the way the level unfolded with each button pressed, was an interesting take on the theme which worked well. As GhostBomb mentioned I also had issues with the spacebar and arrow keys for controlling the jump. A player shadow would also have helped with accuracy. Overall a clever entry that felt complete in its experience.
Nice nostalgic entry, definitely takes me back to the old text adventures. Liked the visuals also which I think worked really well with the text descriptions.
Had fun trying to build some crazy temples and watching them come crashing down. Nice first entry so congrats on finishing your first game. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.
Always impressed at your ascii art and how much you get across with it. Congrats on your first LD was a nice game if a bit simple, although definitely understandable with the time limits. Something I always have issues with in my entries.
Funny game with humorous writing and item descriptions. Liked the way you used the theme. The art also worked really well with it. I did notice at times when pressing buttons that a menu popped up with other options that did nothing.
Really enjoyed the movement in this. The navigation was so much fun just launching the little guy and then trying to catch him to get some points. Know there wasn't much gameplay in the Ludum Dare version but actually enjoyed the simplicity.
Liked the simple character design and movement, think it worked well. Did have issues trying to dodge the bullets and fire in some of the rooms though, where my persepective made it a bit difficult to see where things were coming from. Also would be nice if you could control the camera a bit more with the mouse movement. Nice retro vibe entry.
Liked the art of the cauldron and witch, thought they looked great. Just wish the children art style was closer to that of the witch. The controls were quite difficult but once I got the hang of it I was able to collect four children on my third go. Would be nice if you could have some more challenges so you would have to navigate more, cause cauldron flying seems like a fun time.
Haven't played snake in years so was pretty funny to be reminded of my old nokia phone. Well executed themed game.
Interesting mechanic, liked the way you had to respond to your customers demands with each unique fireworks display although at times I wasn't the greatest and meeting their needs. Favourite part for me was the dialogue. Another nice entry.
Loved the visuals but just wish there was a bit more content. That ground layer with all the detail is fantastic, also great colour choices.
One of the best looking games I've seen so far, the visuals felt so polished. Loved how you were able to use simple mechanics to make a more complicated game and the feedback with the controls was quite satisfying. Just wish there was a little bit more feedback with what you are doing cause it took me awhile to figure out what was occurring with all my choices.
Really fun entry. Liked the level design and layout and how it progressed in difficulty at an appropriate pace. Clever use of the cog mechanic also which felt great to play with and move around and interact with the world.
Liked the concept and how it seemed to be built for speedrunning. Although I did find it a bit too difficult for me. Wish there had been some slow progression levels just to get used to the controls so that I could be more comfortable with the movement. The atmosphere was nicely done too.
Liked the dialogue and item descriptions. Was interesting trying to sell objects without overdoing the sale and learning the salesman balance and how far you could push the customers.
Interesting game, liked how you had to answer questions at the start to set the perimeters. Did have moments where the brick landed off to the side and missed everything. Simple art also worked well with the game.
My favourite entry so far, liked the way it escalated and the different little simple puzzles you had to solve. Only issue I had is that I wanted more, which is always a good sign.
Liked the constant speaking thought it was well used and quite funny at times. Nice guide on what to do and where to go. Also the surprise compass ending at the end was an unexpected twist. There was moments though were I did feel that there might have been a bit too much talking and would have been a stronger impact with a tighter script.
Everything thing about this was great and worked so well together, the visuals, the music, the feedback. Impressed at the amount of levels you were able to make and the new mechanics that you slowly introduced. Level transitions was also fantastic, simple but really effective. One of my favourites so far.
Liked the voxel graphics, thought they worked really nicely with the gameplay. Was fun to just fly around and figure out the map layouts with the towns.
Nice clean, simple art which worked well with the music. Had trouble at first figuring out the gameplay and how the flags came into play. But liked how the mechanics played off the memorization, was nice and different from most of the other entries I've played so far.
Loved the art and the characters animations. Very fluid and smooth. Did have issues as others have mentioned with the jumping aspect which was at times frustrating with the tieme running out. Clever game though with the puzzle aspect and not crossing over the paths.
Fun game with nice graphics, liked the caveman setting and the explanation for why you couldn't use your club on the raptors and had to hit the rocks to stun them. Thought that was a nice touch.
The art style is great in this, thought it worked really well with the design of characters, room and colours, just wish there was more accuracy and feedback when shooting the meatballs. Also liked that you were able to use an idea you'd had, to bring into the jam.
Interesting concept although it turns out I'm not very good at being a hikikomori :)
The art in this is great, liked the character designs. Did have issues with the battling where I wasn't sure if my shots were connecting with the enemy.
Interesting unique experience, liked the way you told a story through the objects. Was an interesting narrative.
Beautiful looking game with such nice player feedback to interactions. Was an absolute pleasure to playthrough and couldn't find anything to complain about. Such a great entry and definitely one of my favourites.
Such a fun addictive game. Loved the minimalist design and thought it worked really well in putting the emphasis on the gameplay and just trying to survive. Only improvement I could ask for was for the restarts to be faster so that I could fit more attempts in :)
Interesting take on the arena shooter. Liked that you have to use the enemies bullets against them and that you could slow down time to assist. The teleporting to get around was also a nice touch and was great as you progressed and had more enemies and it becomes more chaotic.
Great entry, was such fun just running around the room trying to figure out everything and the little mini games. Liked that you also gave feedback at the end of the day to let the player know what they'd achieved and what they could still try and do.
Fun little experience with really great visuals. Loved the way you used the shader and thought it worked well in setting a unique mood. Also was able to find all the targets and complete the game which is always a good thing.
Fun entry as usual and with a great sense of humour in the writing and audio. Enjoyed the character descriptions and the simple gameplay controls
Fun game and liked the way you were able to use the minigames to train your crew. Liked the thrust minigame especially. The simple art style also worked well with such a complex game and thought it assisted in letting the player understand what was going on. Nice job for such a short jam.
Fun entry with a clever concept and mechanic. Liked the way it all played out and by the time I finished, humanity had 51 colours :)
Extremely well done game, loved the different puzzle and solutions and impressed at how many different ones you were able to get in. Couldn't stop playing until I finished and got to the complete screen so nice job.
Beautiful looking game, absolutely loved the graphics and animations thought they were extremely polished. The level progression with the badguys was also nicely done but I did at first find the green boss really hard with his one kill charge. Great polished entry, nice job.
Brilliant entry, loved everything about this one. Clever use of text and level design and such a fun game to play. Absolutely amazing, nice job.
Nice player vs player game, liked the character designs but just wish the player movement was a bit quicker. Think it would help make the playthroughs a little shorter and would help increase the urgency.
Liked the minimalist design of the game and thought it worked well in highlighting that old school sci-fi horror vibe. Did have issues at times with player feedback and knowing whether I was actually going anywhere. Interesting entry and the first spotting of the monster was a well done experience.
Great game and impressed at the amount of content you were able to get in. Such a gorgeous looking entry with alot of charm and character. Also liked the twist at the end and how everyone was brought back to the reality of childhood and forgetting the time while playing. Clever entry.
Such a fun game, liked the simple gameplay and thought it was so nicely done with the power ups and constant attacks. Was fast to get faster and bigger and plan the bomb explosions for when you really needed them.
Always love your pico stuff and this is no exception. Such a great polished entry with nice mechanics and design. Felt like a complete little game and liked the variety of enemies as you progress. Great entry.
Fun addictive little game which was fun to stay on top of. Wish there was more variety in rooms but in a jam it's definitely understandable.
Fun entry, liked that you could upgrade your character and that even after you finished all the waves you could still keeping playing with your boosted character. Nice to see how powerful you became :)
Liked the simple gameplay and think it worked well. Things got pretty hectic for me with so many bad guys on the screen at once but liked the intensity of it.
Such a great entry and the ending message about exposure was pretty funny. Only thing I'd tweak is that at times I was clicking quickly to create the art and would end up accidently skipping text as I finished the project. Someway to stop that from happening would help as I enjoyed reading all your writing. The different offers and responses were also nicely done. Great simulator entry.
Such a clever game, really enjoyed it although thought the placement of blocks at times made it a bit difficult to keep progressing. The controls feedback was great and the visuals worked so well. One of my favourite entries so far.
Nice spell casting mechanic. Liked that you had to plan how you would create the shapes and then the button presses. The book of spells was also a nice touch to see how the demons looked.
Another great polished entry, loved the graphics and animations had such charm with its little movements. Was only able to get 76% but kept improving each turn as I figured out more which kept me trying again.
Liked the visuals and thought it was an interesting game with the way you were trying to defend while also working with the computer. Did find the difficulty level a bit too hard and would be nice if it eased up in difficulty at the start so that you could get used to the gameplay.
Such a clever fun game, really enjoyed the mechanic and how the rooms would reset with the transitions. Also quite fun to play and keeps you going to try and collect all the lanterns. Great job, a favourite so far.
Liked the beautiful minimalist design, helped set the atmosphere. The way the lights worked together was also nicely done.
I didn't get time to add much content to my entry so I completely understand not finishing this. Like what you've done so far though and think it is a good little prototype and I'd be interested to see where you go from here with it. The digging was really satisfying with the visuals so I think what you have so far is definitely a nice start.
Always enjoy playing your quirky entries and seeing how you interpret the theme. Fun surprise each time.
Liked the whole social interactions aspect and the way you had to proceed through these dialogues with individuals while also at times having minigames thrown in to control the way the conversation proceeds. Thought it was quite clever and added an interesting twist with the dialogue. Only real suggestion I have is that the conversation options in the balls could be made clearer to the player. Besides that it was another really interesting entry with sound that worked well in getting the social aspect across. Favourite screen was the mouths at the end. Liked the way they appeared.
Enjoyed the quirkiness of this one.
Thought the visuals and music worked really well in setting the mood and liked how the music definitely reminded me of mall or elevator music, perfect fit. Was pretty satisfying spamming the money although I did think there might have been different endings of when you leave without buying anything to the times you buy everything before leaving.
Liked the look of this and thought it worked nicely in giving the whole game a cute look. Do wish there was a bit of feedback with the tools. Favourite bit was how when you paused it should the whole place, nice touch.
Such a cute entry. Really enjoyed this and definitely one of my favourites so far. The audio dialogue worked well with the music and the puzzles were cleverly done. Liked the double use of the torch with the modification, was a nice touch. Also the ending was a fun surprise especially with the animal reveal.
Such an enjoyable entry. The movement of the bat felt really nice and the echolocation was well done. Liked the progression in difficulty with the puzzles too and just wish there was a bit more ambient music to help set the atmosphere. The art was also great, liked the clean minimalist art style and the simple colours.
Quite a clever minimalist RTS, enjoyed the audio work also which worked well in giving the whole game a lighter atmosphere. As you've mentioned it was a bit too easy but for a quick jam always better to allow people to play through quickly and see more then get stuck. Also the look was nicely polished and made it enjoyable just to rotate around the planet and check it all out. Nice job.
Nice text adventure which I'm always a fan of. Did have issues with the navigation controls also but it's nice to see in the post above that you've tweaked it now and made the decisions more obvious, looking good. Also can understand the short puzzle size as Ludum Dare always seems to just fly by for me too. Congrats on finishing though liked the drawings and the way you had to distract the panda was a fun surprise.
Such a well done polished game.
Loved the cute graphics and the prince story was a nice gameplay mechanic. Hard to come up with any improvement feedback since it already feels like a complete game with gorgeous graphics and music that compliments it in setting the mood.
Really clever and fun puzzle game. Really enjoyed this one and the challenge of trying to figure out the different levels. Good flashback to art school and colour theory. Could see this also working well on mobile with the touch movements. One of my favourites so far.
Enjoyed the whole aesthetics and vibe with the game being played on the globe. Thought that was a great way to present it with the table. Did have issues with the controls like others have mentioned though and just wish things had been clearer on what you're doing and clicking. Music worked really well though in setting a calm mood and the gold on the table accumulating was a nice touch.
Such a fun little game. Really enjoyed playing around with trying to make music, especially since I've got no music skills and is why my entries always struggle with it. But this made it such a great experience to be able to visualise the sounds and organise them as you go. The whole design was also great with the different colours and plants. Such a polished entry and just wish there was an export option so that I could save the things I made.
Enjoyed the maze aspect to this and how the title was a big clue on how to approach the game by mapping out your playthrough, nicely done. The art worked well and the design of even the title page made this feel like a polished complete little piece. Impressed what you were able to achieve in such a short time with not much experience in either blender or unity. Would love to do the same one jam and this is definitely inspiration for me to attempt it.
Fun minimalist game nicely done. Liked the way the music really helped set the mood. Only wish there was more feedback in what the play is doing and what causes them to fail when reaching distant orbit. Nicely done entry though
Fun game and liked your take on the theme, different from other interpretations I've seen so far.
Liked the humour in the game with the story and thought the graphics and music worked really well in setting a fast panic mode. Some of the best music I've heard so far this Ludum Dare. Would be nice if there had been more variety in the endings depending on how you went but overall a great polished entry.
Took me awhile at the start to figure things out as I couldn't see anything. Once I found myself on the track though and began to see more of the environment I started to understand more of what was going on. Mood was nicely set with the art and music but just wish things were a bit clearer at the beginning.
Enjoyed playing this one and liked the challenge of learning how to think like you're meant to. Took me a few turns to get the hang of the pieces and how everything worked but, the great thing is that I did feel like I was learning more and getting better each time. The simple minimalist graphics also worked extremely well. And just like threes I could see this working really well on mobile. Nice polished entry and only think I could wish for was maybe some more variety in pieces as your score increases and maybe a tutorial at the start to guide you a bit.
Clever game, really liked the style and the environment motion was well done. Did have issues with the aiming and wish it could be clearer. Could get over how well the environment rotations were and how they helped create the mood of a fast paced shooter inside an intestine.
Liked the look of the planet and the way your shots curved around it, was a nice touch. Did have issues at times when I went upside down trying to control the ship and think that could be tweaked a bit but interesting game overall.
Fun concept. Liked the ships and the gameplay of moving through the waves trying to shoot the other ships. Favourite thing for me was definitely the sky, really loved the painterly look and colours.
Liked the simple puzzle mechanic and how you took the slider puzzle and gave it more depth. The art and music worked really together and have to say my favourite thing was that title screen. The spaceship art and its motion were fantastic.
Great use of the theme, liked how you brought in the players usage of their own laptop, was a nice personal touch. Also found it pretty addictive and played a lot longer then I'd intended to. Nice job.
The minimal colours and aesthetics worked really well in this. Liked the gameplay mechanic and how difficult it was to make your way past all the spikes. Fun challenge. The checkpoints was a nice saver cause even though it was difficult it never felt too punishing to the player in that as you made past hard parts you got that little head start each time.
Fun game, enjoyed the use of the theme. Thought the art and music worked really well together and liked that you went for the 80s vibe, great era to set an arcade in. As others have mentioned it would be great if there was more variety to do while the games are going but since this is a jam I can definitely understand and this is so polished for what you have been able to get it. In my first go I was only able to get $600 but I'm getting there :)
Always enjoy seeing what you come up with and like how each of your entries feels unique from the ones before. The writing in this was really nicely done and the surreal aspect of it was great at setting the mood. Liked that atmosphere of the public bus ride where everyone is so involved with their own phones and you see the same people but have no connections. Was well conveyed. The battery graphic at the top was also nicely done in twine. Always wanted to try twine and this just makes me want to try it even more.
The art in this is great, so clean and well done. The colours work so well with the clean minimalist visuals. Did struggle at first to connect the nodes and not sure why that was happening, but once I got it going it was really nice to play. Very polished entry.
The art in this is really nice, reminds me of old Saul Bass movie posters in it's clean lines and clear design. I did find the gameplay a bit difficult to interpret so I did end up getting confused with what my clicking was doing. Would be nice if there was a little tutorial at the opening that could guide the player a bit more with what they're actions are doing and how they impact the power station. Overall a great looking unique entry that visually stands out from most other entries art styles I've played.
Beautiful game that is extremely well executed. Took me a few minutes to realise how it all worked but once I did I really started to enjoy it. Was so satisfying getting the shots ricocheting. The clean sound design also complimented it all so well and helped emphasis the atmosphere.
Great entry, loved the art in this and the walk animation looked great. Really nice design which was complimented by the music. The story was a nice interpretation of the theme which worked well, liked that as you played and replayed you had more information so slowly learnt the order that you needed to visit things. Also liked that you did a post jam version where you added the nice little touches of just being able to interact your character with more objects such as the table and chairs. Thought that helped in adding more character.
This has so much going on, a lot more depth then I first expected which is quite impressive for such a short jam. I did seem to have trouble at times rotate objects in the puzzles so not sure what was going on there. But liked how it was a puzzle game with platforming. One suggestion is to also have arrow keys be usable as I'm left handed and on laptops it is uncomfortable to play with WASD. Also maybe remove the jump all together and just have the jetpack instead :)
Enjoyed the way you used the theme and how the game progressed with opening up more of the story as the player lots more and more power. Thought it was a interesting touch. The pixel art was nicely done and the close up photos worked well at conveying the story.
Liked that you pushed the marathon aspect and interested to find out if anyone completes the full marathon and what would happen if they did. I don't have that much patience :) only got upto a few miles before I had to stop. The simple art is so nicely done. Loved the run animation and that it actually reacts to the speed also, was a nice touch.
Liked the prototype and I know how it feels to run out of time in these jams. I always have the same issue with my entries. Thought it was a nice concept though and can see the potential in it with obstacles. Would have been nice to see the ship get attacked so you'd have to turn the shields on and if there was a deadline so you had to speed the ship up while not under attack.
The horse animation is lovely in this, made the gameplay that much better having such nice movement. Liked the challenge of running while also having to at times, jump and shot. Think the camera could be tweaked and tightened cause at times I'd pull back and it would completely flick which was pretty disorienting. The story was nice and simple but also different from the typical king being the hero so liked the role reversal in this from what is generally expected in these.
The art in this is great, loved the look of it with the font choices colours and character designs, all worked really well together. The concept was also an interesting humorous take on the. Only thing I wish was that there was more objects to pick up. Would be nice to read more descriptions cause I thought the text was a nice touch.
Such an impressive entry, liked the amount of thought you put into this and the whole mechanic was such a great interpretation of the theme. Did think it got a bit to hard to quick and I struggled with the later puzzles cause I don't think I'd completely understood how everything worked. Would be nice to see a further updated version with more of an ease into the harder parts but for a Ludum Dare jam with such a small time window, I'm extremely impressed at how polished this feels. Congrats on a great entry, one of my favourites so far.
One of my favourite entries so far this jam. Loved how polished and complete it felt to play. Liked how simple the mechanics are but how well they're done and that it keeps you playing more and more trying to get further each time. Also impressed at how much depth you were able to get in to something that at first seems so straight forward. Learnt to really manage my turrets and at times letting them get destroyed and repaired rather then risking getting hit. Fun fun entry, nice job.
Was fun that you got to build your ship at the start before beginning. Would be nice if the movement was tightened a bit so you'd get more feedback as you fly but it's a good start. The ship colours also worked well in the setting.
Enjoyed this and liked that I was able to play it completely through in such a short time. The different scenes with their own unique information and look was nicely done and liked how the pellet system was used to increase the tension.
Interesting game idea but did find that the entity appeared to quickly so you didn't get much of a chance to survive. Would be nice as you mentioned, if they only came in once you'd been playing for a bit, to give you sometime to explore before it all begins happening. Liked the mood with the visuals and theme, thought it all worked well together to support the story.
Liked the whole vibe of this. I did a mobile for my entry too but so nice to see how different this is with its mood. The colours used are great and the camera usage allowing you to set the background was such a nice touch. Also that flappy bird game is great :) Liked that the battery was at 12% when it suddenly died, makes it more believable.
Beautiful looking interactive artwork. Absolutely loved the visuals of this and how everything moved. Spent quite a lot of time playing with this and seeing what things I could see. Impressive work.
Such a clever idea. Really enjoyed how you used the theme and the way the player had to not only play the game but control the machine they were playing on, was a nice touch. Also the battery running out so quickly worked well in being a frustrating mechanic but something that went with the overall theme and helped enforce it. Also liked that every side of the box had a control that you had to figure out and it wasn't all spelt out for the player with what they did but instead left you to explore.
Had to play the updated version cause the other link didn't work for me. Nice simple game for a first effort with Unity. Think the character could move a bit slower so he doesn't fly around the screen as much and might help stopping the falling into walls bug. Good use of the theme.
Nice graphics, liked the design of the ships. Did find the controls a bit difficult to get used to at first as it wasn't what I'd been expecting. Good how you eased the player into the game though as I think this allowed me to learn how the controls worked.
Liked how by just removing the jump button that we normally expect in a platformer you were able to make that lack of jump an actual gameplay mechanic. Was interesting to have to look at the whole and try to figure out the best way to approach the layout. The art and music also were nicely done and made this feel like a polished entry.
The clean minimalist art was well done, liked the simple character design. As others have said I do wish the character movement was slightly tweaked to give a bit more control but can understand why you said you have done it the way you have. Would have also been nice to have had feedback for when your close enough to absorb energy. With the short time you get in these jams it was a nice entry and impressed that you used Godot for the engine. Liked that you also included an android version and looking forward to trying it when I get the chance, cause interested to see how it plays on mobile :)
The graphics in this are fantastic. Took a few goes for me to get the flow of the gameplay mechanics but once I did it was really interesting. Liked the recharge mechanic and how it was used. Thought it was a nice touch to distinguish it from other shootemups. That final Rook boss was quite difficult but I did manage to defeat him as eventually he stopped shooting at me which made it easier to attack. Assume the no shooting was a bug though.
The voice acting in this is great, really enjoyed the dialogue and listening to it. Although did feel like the intro might have been a little bit to long before getting into the gameplay. The story was nice and interesting and made me keep playing through the game to see what would happen to our hero.
Such a fun game, liked how simple it was but how well executed it all was brought together. The art worked well in presenting the story and the use of the theme was nice and different. Liked that you had to try and not kill anyone instead of the usual. Also was addictive and short enough that it kept me playing till I'd completed with a good ending.
Liked how much depth you went into with the whole story. Did have an issue at first playthrough where the game seemed to freeze in the first battle tutorial. Restarted and second time it played through okay. The fighting mechanic was also nicely implemented.
Graphics and music are great and worked well in setting the mood for the zombie gameplay. Liked that you could jump from RV to RV also. Allowed me to start on the first RV and then when getting overrun to just jump on the next one and try and make up some more ground again which worked as a strategy.
The writing in this was well done, liked that the dialogue felt so real and that there was consequences for your actions. Gave it that mood of being in a car going somewhere and trying to figure out whether you should listen to the GPS or someone else in the car. The clean visuals also worked really well in this context.
Had fun with this and was nice to remember the old days of going to the arcade and playing the tmnt, simpsons and x-men beat'em up games. Was a well done homage to them, with its sound effects and art. Also the ending was a nice funny surprise.
Nice simple mechanic well executed. Do wish the movement was a bit smoother but was still able to play and achieve victory which was fun to do. Liked how the enemies kept increasing as you collected more continuum rips.
This was really clever, enjoyed the concept and liked how you interpreted the theme. One of my favourite interpretations so far. Only wish it was longer cause was fun to play and see how far I could get the flame. Would be nice to see more difficulties in later levels but for a first Ludumd Dare it's definitely impressive. A lot more then my first effort :)
Liked the aesthetics in this, thought they worked really well in bringing that nostalgic old school vibe of family trips with the gameboy. Was a nice surprise after playing and looking out the window again :) Music was great also.
The art in this is fantastic, so impressed at how much nice art you were able to get in and the music in this compliments it so well. Did struggle at times trying to figure out what to type but impressed at how many different results you were able to get in. Such a polished entry for a first Ludum Dare, congrats.
Really enjoyed this one, such a well done polished entry. Liked how the management felt like there was different strategies that could be used to pass the levels. The level difficulty also progessed at a really good difficulty where you felt like you learnt the best tactics to approach as you went along.
Sucks that you ran into issues at the end so weren't able to get in the other levels but I think this is a good start. Gets the concept across and can see how the longer game would play. Liked the finish screen, thought it was great.
Clever use of the theme and liked how much dialogue and character you were able to get into each pirate. Made replaying that much nicer. Was able to find the mutineer first go so was quite proud of myself for figuring out some of what was being said to me and the choices I was making with the coins. The art was great and worked well in making the game friendly to play.
Liked the idea behind this and the way you interpreted the theme. Was great concept. Did have issues with it being a bit dark and the controls being a bit loose with the movement. Also the screen was small on laptop but think that might of been that I had it on too high a resolution. The flame are is great though, well designed and got the concept across in its clear visuals.
The art in this is great, loved the walk animation thought it was really polished. Everything about this game worked so well together. The only thing that felt a bit off was the car movement. The story was really well written and liked that it was told in different ways, with the phone calls and discoveries.
Nice use of the theme. Liked the way you had to decide how you would lose more abilities each level, just wish it had more of an impact cause at times it didn't seem obvious enough how it was impacting me. The short levels where a good thing in that it gave instant feedback to how I was going. I did notice that the leaderboard just kept saying loading for me at the end but never showed anything. Congrats on your first entry.
Liked the story behind why the player is doing what they're doing. Thought it was quite humorous. The puzzles took a bit for me to figure out even after I read the instructions, never been good at understanding circuit boards but I did like the challenge. Was able to make it to the final one and think I'll have to try again later to see if I can finish it. Just wish it was a bit clearer in game how you do the puzzles. The art and music also worked well in setting the mood.
Reminded me of the old GTA game which is always a good thing. Took me awhile playing before I figured out that the buying and selling could be done whenever you stop. Which made sense once I realised. Think the car controls could be tweaked a bit more to feel tighter and I was surprised with the reversing turns, expected the car to move the opposite way so it took some getting used to. Did have fun just driving around the city though and thought the look of the city with the mix of 2D and 3D was nicely done and implemented.
Enjoyed this game, liked the title screen font and the overall design of the character, sled and snowman. Thought it all worked really well together. Did seem to have a bug with the first spear I threw though, where I couldn't pick it back up from the floor. The use of the theme to keep the sled moving was also a nice touch. Interested to see what else you do with this to complete it more.
My favourite entry so far, loved it. Thought it was so humorous and such a unique take on the theme. Also extremely polished and has so much depth for what at first just seems like something funny. Loved the charming challenge to the adults thought that was well done and the control of the different body parts was great. So much fun to just play around and see how the little guy would move. Great job so good.
The colours in this are great, loved the visual vibe going on. Did have issues where at times as I was pulling the cord the wire would disappear and I'd be left with just the plug. Which for me was good cause it meant I could carry it wherever I wanted but did seem to be a bug. The forcefield looked really good when it came in and charged up.
Fun addictive game. Do wish you had a few hits before losing so you could get some longer games going. But the quick restarts definitely helped with the replayability.
Very nice unique entry. Enjoyed the whole background story and thought it was well conveyed to the player with minimalist graphics. That map and music worked so well together and really increases the intensity of playing when you see an area disappear. Great entry.
Liked that you had different endings, which made me go back and try to see what else would be said with different selections. The art was also nicely done, think it worked well in setting the operating system vibe. Wish playthroughs were a bit longer but it's definitely a great start.
Fun game, liked the way you interpreted the theme, thought that was well done. Was quite satisfying capturing the little people and seeing the screen clear out a little bit at a time. Did think the different weapons was also well thought out. Definite strengths to each one as you progress further.
Interesting start and interested to see where you take this and how the story is expanded upon. Liked the whole atmosphere but did feel like the ending was a bit abrupt, although that's definitely understandable for a LDJAM game. Graphics were really nicely done and the quotes section in the menu was a funny personal touch which I liked reading through.
This is brilliant, loved the way you used the theme and how much you were able to pull off in such a short time. Can't even get my head around the programming for all that. Enjoyed trying the different games and seeing what each one was. Was a nice take on some classic retro games. Favourite entry so far this jam. Congrats.
Fun unique concept perfectly executed. Enjoyed the arcade vibe to this one with how simple it was but how much fun it was to play and try and see how far along you could get. The different hat variety was also a nice touch.
The feel of the shooting in this is so satisfying, made playing such a nice experience. Liked the juiciness and feedback of destroying the enemies and moving around, really nice polished entry.
Impressed with how much content you were able to get in. Liked that you encourage more playthroughs with the different endings and how your choices did have an affect on how things played out and the options you were left with. The art also worked well in setting the atmosphere of the story.
Impressive with how much you were able to do in the one day. The controls worked well once I realised what they were after reading the text file. And then I also noticed that it actually also tells you in the game but I was just missing it so my mistake. Liked the rhythmic pattern and thought the music was nicely done and built up at a good pace. I suck at music so always impressed with people who can create appealing music in a short time. The art also worked well in allowing the focus to be on the gameplay and music.
Liked the way you implemented the one button mechanic, worked really well. Did have issues with the enemies spawn points though as at times it was impossible to miss a combination of theme. Graphics are great and I just wish there was some sounds to compliment them cause the design and animations are fantastic.
Another quirky, unique entry for Ludum Dare. Also enjoy seeing what you end up making and once again I haven't been disappointed. Those babies were a nightmare the way they grabbed on and slowed you down until you were able to get them off. I really liked the baby head in the foreground also that added more depth and was kind of spooky looking.
Fun entry. Liked how you used the the theme, thought it was clever. The quick death restarts also made it easy to keep going as the checkpoints were so close you didn't lose much of the progress. Seeing the screen grow into such a glitchy mess was also really interesting. Liked trying to figure out what was going on.
The fun of grabbing presents and parking has never been so enjoyable. Liked how all the drivers were doing there own thing and didn't care what you were doing, made it harder where you always had to think about what the drivers around you were doing.
Such a great jam game with a simple gameplay mechanic perfectly executed. Absolutely loved the audio and graphics which complimented each other so well. The story was also quirky and humours which was great to see and the character designs were fantastic. Absolute pleasure to play this one. Getting complimented has never felt so good :)
Clever game and liked the way you used the theme in a time paradox. Was interesting and a unique take from all the other entries I've played so far. The movement did feel a bit stiff at times but it did work in its own way in setting the time paradox feeling of things not being quite right. Not sure if intended but it worked. The puzzles took some getting used to in solving and think there could have been a bit more of an ease in the difficulty and letting the player understand how to figure it out. Overall a really clever, challenging game that seemed well thought out and complete. Nice job.
The pixel art in this is fantastic. One of the better entries I've played so far, nice job. Liked the gameplay mechanic and that the levels were quick and not dragged out layouts. Would be nice if there was a completing level transition with him entering the door but know this is a jam so you never get time for everything :) great polished entry with art and music that works really well together, congrats.
This is fantastic, my favourite entry so far. Such a polished entry that uses the theme perfectly to create a unique platformer. Loved the balancing aspect of gold and health, which made me play it a few times after my first attempt I was collecting all the gold as you'd expect.
The graphics in this were great, really gave it that retro contra feel to it all especially with the shooting. Liked how the difficulty ramped up, thought it did it at a good pace. As others have mentioned it would be nice if you could configure the controls but with such a short jam time always understandable you can't get everything in.
Short game but extremely polished and left me wanting to play more. Really enjoyed the gameplay and the graphics were some of the best I've seen this ludum dare. The atmosphere was also nicely done and the lumps was an interesting way to deal with the monsters.
Enjoyed this and did make me miss playing the old text adventure games. Thought it was really well written. Liked that the first scene made me think of the old donkey kong game which helped me figure out what to do in it. I did end up getting stuck as someone else has mentioned in the "run underneath him" segment. Tried for ages but couldn't figure it out which once again reminds me of the old text adventure games when you struggle with the words. Interested to know what it was as I'm sure when I know I'll see it was obvious :)
Fun game and liked the fast pace of it all. The glitch aesthetic was well done and liked that you had to fight it off as you collected things. The one screen arena gameplay also worked in allowing you to try and build a strategy for moving around.
Interesting toy, always been interested in juggling so was nice to see the maths behind it. Did find the editor a bit confusing though but did have fun trying out all the preset patterns and seeing how it worked.
Really enjoyed this one and liked how much content you were able to get into this. All the different levels showed different gameplay mechanics and tricks which was great as you progressed and got into the flow of the controls. Also couldn't stop playing until I finished it and that last boss battle was a tough one to get a handle on but was fun and worth it. Great game.
I survived and made $38. Liked how the gold you collected along the way helped shield you from the fire as you proceeded even though it did at times hinder you with your movement. Interesting trade off. The humour from collecting the larger statues and objects was also a nice touch. Just wish there had been more levels to try :)
Interesting concept, liked how as you progressed the greed would take over was a nice unique concept. The change in weapon as the waves kept coming was also well done, liked that it changed the gameplay.
Loved this one, such a great polished game. Enjoyed playing a lot more then I expected before I started which was a nice surprise. The game got pretty hectic with all the cats and trying to manage everything but it was lots of fun. Most polished graphics I've seen so far this Ludum Dare.
The art in this is really nice, liked the design of the characters and the layout. Also the use of the speed dating idea was cleverly done with the cards and an interesting use of the theme.
Such a clever simple concept, really well executed. Liked how simple the controls were with the stop start but that it worked so well. As others have mentioned I could see this working well on mobile and would be nice with some extra variety. Fun at the ending just watching all the cars keep coming, quite hypnotic.
Enjoyed this well written entry of yours. And liked that we had similar ideas in mind with the choices presented to the player. Nice to see someone else was on my wavelength :) Even though there's a lot of text I found I couldn't stop going along until I got to the end cause the character and situation you built up was an interesting one. Liked that you went through the days but things kept moving forward with changes occurring to the characters. Think the simple art also worked well in leaving it to the players imagination. Especially liked the way you used music at times to build up the scene. Great entry and was fun to see something so different from your usual entries.
Nice polished art and the gameplay was really fun to play around with. Liked the way you had to drop down on enemies to pass the level and use that mechanic to move around the screen.
Liked the simple design and exploration aspect of this game. Reminded me of No Mans Sky with the detecting the demons you find along the way. Thought it was done well and liked that trying to find all the demons kept you exploring trying to see where others were hiding. Did find myself at moments feeling like I was stuck and couldn't get out of certain environments though.
Always enjoy seeing what you're able to create with Pico-8 and this is another interesting game. Liked the way you have to move around the screen quickly and can't see what's up ahead, means you have to think quickly with what you're running into. The chaotic feel as you progress also works well in raising the stakes and making it more difficult. Got up to level 5 on my first go.
Fun entry, liked the clean design and gameplay. Thought they complimented each other well. Do wish the difficulty eased you in a bit more as it got hectic quite quickly.
Really clever reverse metroidvania. Liked the way you implemented the reward and risk strategy, thought it was designed in a smart way. Was fun to figure out the way you had to approach the rooms to obtain the most gold possible. I was able to become a Queen with my wealth so quite happy with my progress. Music, art and character movement also worked nicely together in complimenting each other and made it a pleasure to play around with the movement. Only suggestion I can give is that at first I was picking up the gold without reading the text so might be nice to even though you've collected it, to fade out the text slowly in case you accidently collect without reading first.
Loved how polished this felt playing it. Such a great combination of graphics and gameplay. The jumping and stomping on boxes was really satisfying and quite addictive. Made me want to keep trying to beat my previous score which is always a good sign.
Liked that you once again chose to do something different for your ludum dare. Always enjoy seeing how you interpret the themes. Thought this gamemaking world building concept was an interesting idea and liked that you had to add features to be able to play and get around the map. Did have issues at times reading the text because of the speed and the cutting but was a unqiue entry with graphics that worked well in setting the game up.
Enjoyed the way you interpreted the theme. Thought it was an interesting take with the mix of tamagotchi and management system. The sounds and music also worked well in setting the retro vibe to the game which was a nice touch. Liked playing and seeing how many I could survive with. Fun challenge.
Even though you didn't finish this and weren't really inspired by the theme, I liked what you ended up pulling off. The dog was fun to run around even with its simple look and scaring off the pigeons was surprisingly satisfying.
Nice game, liked the Level 1 layout and how it teaches the player about the different controls and moves. Do think the movement could be tightened a bit further but for a jam game with a deadline I know it's always hard to get to the polishing stage. Level 2 was also an interesting surprise :) and glad you did what you did with the time you had. Was interesting to see the different things.
This was an interesting piece. Liked the repetitive nature of it all and how that was part of the message so it helped emphasise this. The music also changing as you progressed along was a nice touch and liked how things slowly came into focus around you. Made me play longer just to see what would show up. Got upto 200 and something before I stopped playing. The art in this was also fantastic I really enjoyed the feeling it gave the game and how it added to the message.
Took me a few goes to figure out how to use the movement of the red balls to get around but once I realised what I was meant to do, it proved an interesting task to achieve. Liked the graphics thought the atoms had an effective design.
This was really clever and fun, loved the whole ghost mechanic and how you had to use them to get around to new areas. Thoought that was well implemented. Have to admit that at first I did miss the areas that you could drop down into and it took a few goes walking back and forward before I noticed them. One of the most polished games I've played so far this Ludum Dare with great music and graphics. Was fun to play.
Interesting take on the time management idea. Liked the way you used it with the theme, thought it was an clever interpretation. The graphics and different interactions you could have with the babies in the scene was also nicely done. Great usage of minimalist colours to get the safety and danger areas across to the player.
The art in this is great, really liked the look of the game. As others have mentioned, the physics were a bit off and the objects felt like they had no real weight. But I liked the concept and thought having to control the cat and the crane at the same time was a nice unique touch.
Clever game, had more fun doing my grocery shopping then I've ever had in real life. The audio and graphics worked so well together and grabbing things was nicely done with the stretchy hand.
Clever game, loved the way you had to balance your size with your movement and power. Thought that was really well implemented and played for a lot longer then I'd first expected, which is always a good sign. Art was also great.
Interesting use of the theme. Liked the gameplay and thought it was quite addictive trying to dodge the townspeople until you had enough gas.
The graphics for this are fantastic, loved the different monsters you could create and all the little movements. The way the liquid moved in the jars was also nicely done, made it enjoyable to play around with. The colour and character designs were also a great choice in making a cute light game with an interesting mechanic.
Liked the way you used the theme, thought that was fun take on it. Did have issues at times as you've mentioned with the enemy bugging out and me not being able to hit them. Would be nice to see a slightly polished update with these bugs finished as I liked the simplicity of seeing how long you can survive. Also the music was great really helped set the mood. Hope your driving test went well.
Liked the way you used the theme, thought it was a clever take. Was fun trying to balance the amount of bullets I had and my actual movement. Made it a challenge to figure out a strategy to move around in position and then to reload once in position. The graphics also worked well for the minimalist feeling of the game.
The voice work in this is great, liked how it progressed the story and added humour to the game. Was fun to see how your role changed as you played and you moved up the role ladder. Thought that was pretty funny. Did have issues with the flight navigation and with some tweaking it could be a nicer experience but did like that you could go back in to the ship view and look at the galaxy map to see your position. Added a different element to the game.
Liked the challenge of this and thought it eased you in to the gameplay and difficulty well. Although I did find one of the earlier ones harder then some of the later ones. The rules of the objects were also taught well.
Fun take on the theme, liked the way you used the coffee as a gameplay mechanic. The shader you used as you drink the coffee was effective.
The switch between the cameras was a nice gameplay mechanic. The art was also well done, liked the horde of enemies that would come in each level. The minimalist colours also worked well in setting the scene.
Such a unique fun concept. Liked the way you interpreted the theme and used the windows to make it part of the gameplay.
Love the art in this one, one of the best looking entries I've played so far. The way you got across the notifications was a really nice take on the theme, thoroughly enjoyed it.
The art in this is fantastic. Loved the way the dragons would grow as you fed them. Was nicely done with really smooth transitions. Liked the uniqueness of the two player gameplay also thought it was well done and an interesting take on the theme.
The graphics in this are fantastic. The particle effects are so good. Enjoyed going through the dungeons and running to try and find the gates. Really polished entry.
Interesting take on the tower defense genre, liked how you added the platformer aspect to it. Think the movement could be tweaked and tightened a bit as I did have problems going up the stairs at times. The graphics are really nicely polished and looked great. The drones designs felt really finalised.
This was a beautiful, poetic experience. Could relate to some of the things playing out which made this such a relatable experience. The mood was really well set with the graphics, audio and style working amazingly well together. I did struggle at first with the puzzles but once I got them, they started making more sense and I was able to figure out most of the later ones without needing the clues. Thanks for sharing this and allowing us to play through the experience.
Fun game. Liked how intense it gets as the trolls get close to you and you need to make the decision to skip some platforms. The cute paper cutout out art style also worked really well in making it a game that you keep trying to beat.
Impressed at the amount of story you were able to get into this one. Liked the little quests that came up and the addition of the Log tab was a nice touch. Would be good if it had a darker background though so it would be easier to read.
Always like seeing what you come up with as they are always surprising and different. Liked learning about your cat and thought it made it interesting by keeping you going as long as you could to learn more.
This was great, really enjoyable to play and so satisfying to get some good shots in. Music, humour and art all worked so well together.
The way you used the theme in this was great and liked how you set the scene at the start with the old style intro which worked really well, especially with the music. I wasn't very good at it and didn't last very long each time but did have fun trying to keep playing and survive longer.
This was really fun, really well done and felt so polished for a Ludum Dare entry. Used to love the first GTA so was nice to play an entry that reminded me of it. The art was great and worked so well and this is one that I'll definitely come back to and play again.
This is one of my favourites so far. Fun art and music worked so well in setting the mood. Really enjoyed it and exploring to find all the hearts. Liked how short it was so I felt like I saw everything. Also nice touch at the end where you get to see all the character designs on the one screen.
Fun and addictive, really enjoyed seeing how far I could get and find other dungeons. The simple art style also worked so well with the theme and concept. Great use of the theme.
Liked the way this was written. The use of depositing lives in the bank was a nice touch and I liked how you could use that to balance and try and keep yourself alive longer.
The simple but clean art was so well done. Thought it looked great and worked really well. Really interesting unique experience playing out the life and seeing how things worked out. Also liked that you got a summary at the end about the life you've lived and could play again to try and see what else you could have occur.
Fun game, liked the way you used the theme. Thought the old school GTA vibe worked well and really helped set the mood.
Interesting unique weird experience. Thought it worked well in an abstract way with the art and gameplay. Think the items and descriptions were also interesting in revealing more of the story.
Enjoyed this, thought the level structure was really well plotted out and made it interesting to keep going and seeing what was ahead in the dark. Liked that there was different obstacles with the blocks, lava and enemies. The upgrades was also a nice touch in that they changed the feel of the gameplay.
Liked the unique artstyle of this game, thought it made it stand out from other entries and memorable. Wish the game was a bit longer as I got up to the sun like thing and it seemed to be the end. Was interested in finding out more of the story and what was going on. The music also worked really well with the art and story to set a calming somber atmosphere. Enjoyed this entry, nice job.
Clever and unique gameplay, liked how you used the microphone for controls. The art as always was also fantastic.
Liked the art style thought it worked well and the starting dialogue worked well at setting up the game.
Quite an addictive game. Really enjoyed playing this one and figuring out my strategy of when best to change bodies. Thought it worked really well in adding in a different element to the game. Also reminded me of the game Messiah where you could possess people and try and figure out how to get further with the different bodies.
Interesting entry and thought the art was nicely done. The dialogue between the boss and player was quite funny also.
Enjoyable entry with fast gameplay that worked well in making me have another go to see if I could survive longer and improve my strategy. Would be good if you were also given some visual sign of when your health is increasing.
Liked exploring and seeing what I could find with to interact. The computer browsing was nicely done.
The art in this was nicely done, especially the trees. Also liked that the music and money sped up rapidly until you ended up dying, thought that worked really well together.
Really enjoyed this one, was quite fun and addictive to play. Had to play four times before I was able to complete it but enjoyed the challenge. Figuring out how to move around the bullies and use the sprint was fun.
The character design in this was great. Liked going further and seeing each new door open and seeing who was behind it. Good use of the theme and the written was really well done in adding humour.
The art in this is so polished, really well done and helps set the mood. Liked that the player is able to explore the room and learn about the person.
Enjoyed the challenge and thought the AI worked really well. Was fun to have quick rounds in trying to knock them off the platform. Liked that you had a few jumps to try and get up again before falling off. Also the tracking while out of screen was a fun touch.
This was great, loved the art and music, thought they worked so well together. The writing in this was also fantastic and kept me going further so that I could see more of it. Really enjoyable to journey through and see the different interactions with the villagers and the decisions you could make.
Enjoyed the slow pace of this one and thought it worked well at creating a soothing experience. The gravitation and attraction took some getting used to but I think it worked well in that you had to always monitor how many friends you had.
Perfectly paced and was fun to play. Took me a second go to figure out the 7c rule but once I did I thought it was a fun little additional problem to worry about. The art is fantastic and so cute, definitely one of my favourite looking entries so far, great job.
Liked the colours used thought they worked well and the music added to the atmosphere well. Wish the player speed was a bit quicker but liked that you had to manage attacks from both sides.
The art in this is so good, really made it a pleasure to play. The gameplay worked really well and kept me going back trying to get further. Music also helped set the mood.
Such an enjoyable clever puzzle game, thought it was really unique and interesting. Took some getting used to but liked that you had to think about your moves before doing them.
Really nicely polished entry. Great art and the audio and gameplay worked really well together. Impressed at how much you were able to get in.
Took me a few turns to get used to the controls and learning how to fling the enemies but once I figured it out I was able to pass the level which felt satisfying. Loved the art and sounds which worked really well in setting up a cute scenario. Saving the egg was also a nice use of the theme.
@thedoctoroftime sorry I'm not sure why some people get a white screen. I have heard about people having that issue with my games but I'm not sure why it happens so it's been hard for me figure out how to fix it.
@gronk yeah it does get pretty repetitive and boring after awhile and I did think of having it speed up and get harder as you play but didn't get a chance to try it.
@local-minimum thanks was pretty funny to act out especially since I didn't have a hula hoop so just had to pretend and then animate it in afterwards. Adding rhythm mechanics would have been a great touch too and if I'd had time and could figure it out would be nice to add in and try.
@thedoctoroftime thanks so much for trying again and giving it a play. Yeah it definitely is very repetitive and gets boring after a bit. Wish I'd had time to make more timing mechanics or difficulty with it speeding up. I use Animate (the new version of Flash) to make my games. Been meaning to move to Unity for years but haven't had the time to learn something new.
Like how different it is from other entries I've played so far. Would be good if the movement was a bit faster to add a bit more urgency to the gameplay. The use of the theme also worked really well. Story also added a nice touch of humour.
@local-minimum that's hilarous to see
Such a great entry and use of the theme. Took me a bit to figure out the moving parts and organising the title screen but was an interesting way to learn how the movement and game works. Had an issue where the game screen was small on my computer but besides that I really enjoyed it.
Really like the art in this game and the concept sounds really relaxing. Glad to see you're still working on it and going to finish it as would be great to see it complete.
One of my favourite entries so far. Loved the whole concept behind this and how you used the theme. The game felt really polished with all the elements working well together. The art is great and worked well with the gameplay mechanic in being simple and cute enough to represent all the elements. Did find myself playing some of the levels multiple times to figure out what was going on but was satisfying to solve them.
The art and colours in this are so lovely and make it a real pleasure to play through. Took me awhile to find the first object in the first room which was a bit frustrating but that is always the difficulty with point and click games.
Fun game, enjoyed playing and liked how fast the levels passed. Would be great to have a reset button and more of a distinction between the player and the goal.
Fun game and one of the few ones so far I've played all the way through. Liked how you used the one mechanic to build a game around the theme. Took me quite a few attempts to get my potato but came so close so many times that I couldn't stop until I'd passed it. Only ended up finishing with the butter but liked that you used other objects to add a bit of replayability.
Most polished entry I've played so far, doesn't even feel like you're playing a 72hr jam game. Impressed out how much work was put into this. The art and music are fantastic and work so well together. Would be good if you could also move around using the arrow keys as I struggle using the trackpad and other keys.
Brilliant game, definitely my favourite entry I've played so far this jam. Liked the way the character moved from box to box, thought it was nicely done and really helped connect them. The way the levels ran on to each other helped in keeping me playing which was a nice touch. The progression to locks was also clever.
The use of the theme in this is great and the actual gameplay works really well. Only issue I had was the difficulty curve was a bit too hard. Also would be good if you could click one of the playing buttons to restart instead of having to click R. Really polished game though and glad to see you've made a post jam version that takes some of the feedback into consideration. Always hard to balance difficulty in such a short jam.
Fun game and liked that you kept a full playthrough short. Allowed it to feel like a polished complete experience which was nice. Took two deaths before I got the hang of it but was able to complete it on my third attempt which I was happy about. Liked that the player has to constantly stay moving to make sure the traps are going and the trees needs are being met. Nice job.
Such a gorgeous looking game, loved flying around and just exploring the islands. I wasn't very good at shooting but flying was so much fun that I just kept doing that and watering the islands. Do wish the controls were a bit easier but besides that really enjoyed this, the designs were lovely.
The writing in this is great, liked reading all the dialogue and seeing more of the humour and world building. Took me a few goes to release what the Watchers were doing but once I figured it out it became a lot clearer and easier to navigate around. Liked the puzzles and levels layout which I thought was well done.
Liked the story and thought it was well written and humorous. As others have mentioned the door I also got confused with it until I read the comments. Thought it would have been pretty funny to have made them suspect 46 after this ludum dare.
Menu was really small on my laptop but the game once I was in took up the whole screen so that was good. Liked the concept behind this, thought it worked really well. The simple art style and minimal colours with the ominous music also worked extremely well in setting the mood.
The art in this is great and like how you've taken such a simple gameplay mechanic loop and made a game out of it. Would have been nice to have some instructions advising what is required at first until you get the hang of it.
Nice interpretation of the theme. Found the controls a bit difficult at times and took some getting used to but really liked the art and seeing the different characters walk in with their requests. Congrats on your third ludum dare series.
Cute doggie which made it nice to navigate around. Would be nice to have more feedback letting you know you aren't supposed to hit the walls as at times I would die and wasn't completely sure why. Fun graphics though and liked how you used the theme.
Simple design done really well. Liked how the minimal art worked with the gameplay and let you focus on just getting to the goal. The timer added a great sense of urgency and the progression in difficulty of the levels was nicely balanced.
Liked the art in this, thought it worked well with the story and gameplay. Would be nice if the intro was a little shorter and allowed you to get into the gameplay quicker. Managing the tree and everything around it was nicely done and building an army of cacti was a lot of fun.
Liked the detective aspect to the game and how you had to consider the details to figure out what it all meant just wish there was a bit more chance to find out more before the end. Was a well done game with nice gameplay.
The art in this works so well with the gameplay. Liked how it presented a cute setting for the player to navigate. Did get a bit confused and hadn't realised you needed to throw the things you're growing off the cliff until I read the comments.
Brilliant, really enjoyed playing this and the mix of games worked so well together. Found it really satisfying passing the levels and trying to figure out the best path to the exit was. The art and music also worked really well together and showed how polished the game is. Great job and congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare.
THe art was great in this, liked how it worked well with the story. Enjoyed running around the dungeon but would be good if sometimes you couldn't get out of a room until you faced the enemies to add some more difficulty.
The simplicity worked really well and I found myself playing longer then I expected trying to get further along. Nice job on finishing it. Also liked the different speeds of the platformers which added some nice difficulty. Was good to play for awhile and learn the best technique to jump from them.
Nice to see you go back to an old jam game and make another one in the series. Always enjoy seeing how different your games are and what you do each jam. Liked that you couldn't really crash and you instead were able to just readjust until you had it where you wanted it. Made it really friendly to play without the losing status. The cleaning was also a funny touch so thought that was nicely done :)
As always another unique entry which was fun to play. Liked how you were able to pay homage to your other games and the use of the theme was interesting. Liked how each layer had a different visual look to it.
The art in this is great, really impressed at how you were able to get that old pixel adventure vibe through it. The game was short but it's understandable with how polished it all felt and it being a jam game. Liked the text also which added some character to the story and clearly stated what you needed to do to progress.
The art and effects in this are fantastic, loved the water, smoke and fire effects. Made it fun to just play with the hose and shoot the water around. Impressed at what you were able to do and nice to see you try something different for another game jam. Always enjoy seeing what you make for these. Would have been nice to have sound and music but it being a jam game it's always understandable you don't get enough time to do everything you want.
This was a fun game and know how it is with running out time and getting down on your game when you don't get it quite how you want and keep finding bugs at the end. But I think this was really clever, simple and liked how minimalist it was. Easy to instantly understand and pick up as a player and think that's a great thing for a jam game. Only thing I'd suggest if you get sometime to work on it again is to make the tiles stand out a bit more and differentiate between each other a bit more but I definitely like the simple clean look. Nice job.
Absolutely loved this, definitely one of my favourite entries so far, felt so polished and complete. Liked how the levels progressed in difficulty but do have to admit that I got stuck at the lust level and greed levels at the start. Took me a lot of lives to get passed those. Couldn't stop playing though and after quitting first time I went back and played it again all the way through and reached the ending which was a funny great surprise. Also second time through I was surprised at how easily I was able to get through the lust and greed levels that I'd struggled through earlier. Definitely shows how as you learn the mechanics you get a lot better at the game which is a great reflection on the level design you've created. Loved the clean art also which allowed you to focus on the gameplay and movement which worked so well and reminded me of Zero Lives which I'm looking forward to also :)
So nice to see you use your own engine, it's really coming along well. Liked how the colours come out the further you progress and it adds a nice factor to keep you playing and going down. The art was great as always and worked so well with the theme. Really polished entry.
The art in this is great, really cute and feels so polished. Liked how it eases you in to the gameplay and how as you upgrade the modules and learn about them you can progress further. Would be nice if you could use the money you collect after you've bought all the modules to do cosmetic changes to the ship, e.g change colours of the different rooms or something just so you'd have something to keep using the money on.
The simple graphics worked well with the game and liked the overworld design, made the game feel welcoming before you move on into the dungeons. The fog of war also worked well in revealing things as they came into your vision which added a nice exploration element to the movement.
Liked the art in this, the crab with the giant sword was really cute and made it fun to play with going around swinging the sword. Liked that you were able to implement a boss but think there could have been less levels as they felt a bit too similar and would have been nice to reach the boss sooner.
This was brilliant, got a top score of 20,515 which I was quite proud of. Also have to admit I played for a bit and thought it was just a match 3 game until I read the comments from other people hinting at more and I'm so glad I did. Went back and played it all the way through and thought it was amazing and brilliant. So polished and felt like a complete game. Don't want to ruin it for other people but I highly recommend finishing this. Definitely my favourite game this Ludum Dare.
The art in this is fantastic and really impressed at what you were able to do in such a short time. The game felt really polished and liked the amount of variety there was with the building. Would have been nice to have seen some descriptions for all the objects so you'd have more of an idea what each one did but after a few playthroughs I got the hang of it. Impressed at how much fun it was managing all the resources, building and attacks. Great game :)
The sword toss mechanic was so well implemented that I found myself playing with tossing the sword around without any enemies for awhile just to learn how the different strengths work and to get used to the tossing. Liked the movement animation on it and made it so that it was a fun thing to do each time. Did find the flying enemies a bit hard at first until I got used to their movement but once I got a combo of it bouncing up and down on them I was impressed at how well it all worked. The art and music also worked great with the story and liked how it all came together in a polished experience.
This is great, loved the art and colour chose made it so much fun to play with. The character design was really well done. Just wish that you could also use the arrow keys as it was difficulty to play with the keys assigned on my laptop. Music and story were nicely done and helped set the mood.
Really enjoyed playing this, thought the atmosphere you were able to create was well done. Liked that the characters were able to level up but I did have the issue with one of my characters being killed and then still having hps in later fights after I camped. The art in this was great and thought it worked really well with the font and borders.
Liked how small the characters were, allows you to use your imagination more on what they would look like and also makes the levels feel grander in scale which made the exploring more ominous. The use of the 4 characters with different strengths was an interesting mechanic and liked how you could quickly flip between them all to use and progress further. Did find it a bit difficult at times when I came up on to enemies and felt like I was killed before I knew i was being attacked, so that took some getting used to on being prepared and paying attention.
Liked the digging mechanic and block moving but would be nice if the controls had more options as it was a bit awkward to jump and dig. The simple art style was good with the gameplay and made the focus on the puzzles which worked well.
Such a polished game. Loved everything about it, thought it all worked so well together with the art music and gameplay mechanics. The graphics were great and the effects were so good. The switching between levels and different colours made it so nice to play around with and liked how you had to use the different levels with their own skills to progress through the levels. Great entry :)
Would be nice if you could put the game to full screen as it was quite small on my screen. Also had my tongue stick on the air once. Trying to get higher up was frustrating in a good way as it kept me playing trying to get higher and higher. The art is also really cute which worked nicely and I liked.
Liked the art in this, thought it really embraced the old school vibe. Did have an issue where I ended up in a completely black screen before the game crashed. Also the addition of levels was a nice twist on the old roguelike and was a nice touch.
The way you release the hellevators when you don't need them anymore and they just drop out was a nice touch, really liked that and was quite satisfying. Would suggest that the people appear quicker as I felt like the time was counting down for awhile before I had my first person appear to move. The puzzle aspect of managing the hellevators and removing them worked well and thought that was a great mechanic.
Nice polished score chaser. Liked the art and thought the sprites had a lot of character which was cute. Was fun to try and dodge the jelly fish and see how far I could go before I was overrun.
The graphics in this are great and makes the game look so polished. Did have issues with the controls and selecting and moving my units.
Loved this game, felt like a complete polished short game and impressed that you were able to make it for the game jam. The movement of the little guy was so good that it made it fun to just mess around with drilling around and jumping which kept me playing. The amount of content you were able to get in and the menus looked great. Definitely a game that I'll be coming back to. Also like that you added the scarabs which gave the game more difficulty if the player wants to do 100% completion and see the other ending, was a nice touch and added replayability which is always nice for these types of games. Great job.
Would be nice if you could make the game full screen as it was a bit small om my laptop. The minimalist art worked really well with the gameplay and allowed you to focus on the game mechanic of selecting actions to keep going down. Did find the cards at times seemed a bit random on not really helpful so I just had to keep using them until something would come up that would help me progress.
The blue and orange worked so nicely together and the intro camera movement was so smooth and worked great. Did notice the intro text was a bit quick in disappearing as I didn't get to read it all before it moved on. Liked the game idea of having to map the pyramid and having the drone to fly around to help you, thought that was interesting and made the mapping a fun experience. Also was great when you found yourself and were able to map from your location.
Such a great game, loved the simplicity of it and how you explain the moves and then you jump straight in. The slow-mo through the air while shooting worked so well and makes you feel so powerful when taking out all the enemies. Like that you can pretty much take them all out without touching the ground. Could be interesting to add some more difficulty though as the slow-mo made you so powerful that you could just keep it on and never get hit. The art worked really well in keeping things looking clean and easily readable which helped when looking quickly around.
Interesting and different entry which is always nice to see in these jams. Liked how you had a story flowing through the gameplay which added a deeper meaning to the game. The art style worked well and liked how the power ups made the dice more interactive each fight.
This is so nicely done, the cute art is great and works so well in setting up the game. Did have an issue with the text only half appearing though so that was a bit weird. Liked that as you progressed down you needed to use the air to slow yourself down and take out obstacles. Also having the background get darker the deeper you get was a nice touch. Felt like a nicely polished simple entry so great job.
This was fantastic, loved the art style and colour choice thought it all worked so well together. The movement mechanic was difficult to master at the start but the more I played and got used to it the easier it became and allowed really fast navigation which was great fun to shoot around the screen.
Loved the look of this and thought the art was so cute which really worked well with the story. The colour choice was also lovely. Liked chasing the rabbits and figuring out how I could catch them, was a nice puzzle aspect. Only suggestion I would make is that it would be nice if I could set it to full screen as it was really small on my laptop.
The art in this game is fantastic, everything looks so polished and complete which makes it a pleasure to play and explore through. Liked how much character you were able to put into the player sprite in such little pixels. The colours also worked so well and the music really helped set the mood. Great entry.
Great golf game and liked how you would sink into the next level each time with the final shot, was good use of the theme and visually worked really well. Had fun playing this and liked trying to figure out how to work the ball around into the hole, thought the level design was done well.
Liked the art in this and thought it made the game look really nice to play. Did have issues at times were I ended up stuck and needed to restart the game so would be nice if the generating levels was a bit easier.
Great title and liked the graphics in this, also think you did well in utilising such a small musical loop. One thing that I had issued with on my laptop is that I'm used to using the arrow keys to move and it didn't work so it was a bit awkward for me moving and shooting.
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare and impressed at how much you were able to get in, in such a short time. The level definitely had that robot hell vibe so you got the atmosphere perfect for the story. Liked the lighting on the papers as you found them thought it was well done and was a nice touch that they stood out so made it easier to find them as you moved around. Did have issues with the camera at times not being in the greatest positions when looking around near walls but besides that nicely done.
The drilling in this was so satisfying, really made it fun to keep going down and dig through the ground. Did notice at the start though that you could dig through the ground without going in the well but you would actually be able to progress down. The art in this was nicely done and the game felt overall really polished with the game mechanic of digging and journeying down keeping me playing. Would be nice if it stopped you for a second at the shops so that you wouldn't accidently miss them.
The sword throwing and movement in this was so much fun, really enjoyed playing with that mechanic. Did have an issue on the first screen where I was throwing the swords and didn't realise at first I could pick them up again from the walls so I got killed. Also had an issue where I wasn't able to restart the game every time I died so I had to instead restart the whole game. Not sure why that was happening. The art worked well and liked the movement of the swords and how they trailed behind you, thought it added a nice visual to play with.
