Art is awesome and the functionality of it is great.
One of my favorite games from this jam so far. I love the music, feel, visuals, tight controls and replay value. Thanks again for this great entry I had a lot of fun.
I thought the balloon would pop and looks like there could be a lot to this game.
Very cool mechanic and overall nice mood set by the visuals plus music. Love this game has great replay value.
The frame rate of the game was poor similarly to rjhelms experience but overall the game was fun. Good job in making a game that integrates procedural generated elements and replay value. The "New Highscore" was a nice touch as well.
haha you did a monster munch too :D. Fun game and clever concept. simple and complete. I enjoyed myself.
The art and simple story was well executed. I think the gameplay could be pushed a little for it takes a while to die. Overall very good entry. I commend you for completing a game that's within scope and
Excelent entry, I didn't realize I had to see the cloning nutrients on the tubes at first and an exit button would be good. The UI, graphics and controls were all clean and the Login was a nice touch.
Such a cute game. I loved the progression and the overall style. Awesome job!
Cool game. I wish the UI was soft as well to match the aesthetic of the level and the bears.
Such a soothing entry. This is one of my favorite entries. There's so much I love about this game I had to make a list:
-Design
-Aesthetic
-Audio
-Mood
-Pacing
-Mechanic
Thanks again for also sharing your source code I could learn so much from this since I am learning Unity as well. Truly inspiring especially since it was a compo!
I've been looking forward to this since the beginning. This has a lot of potential and I could see a full game with this if you plan on pursuing it further. I had a lot of fun and found it inspiring. Thanks for the game man and great job for what it is!
very professional and clean entry. I loved the graphics and tight controls. My only complaint is it seemed the like the scale in difficulty was too drastic aside from that it was awesome.
didn't load at all for me on chrome but worked after some loading time on firefox.
Clever concept and the visuals as well as music tied showcased the mood really well. in terms of gameplay it was more open ended and artistic which didn't feel too much like a game, nevertheless I enjoyed it for what it was.
You could potentially expand this further and add some mechanics to turn it into more of a game per se. Either way I think this was a good entry that could have been pushed a bit more.
Everything worked great for me. I loved the simple design, controls and overall game feel.
controls didn't seem solid to me. cool concept though.
Great concept. Loved the art and mechanics. I would love to see a longer game of this. Congratulations on the great entry. The kill counter at the bottom was also a nice touch.
Great entry. really innovative and fresh. I loved the mechanic and the AI was pretty good.
Great entry. I love your art style and the tutorial was very well made. The decision to block the game unless you finish the tutorial first was a smart one. I think audio could have helped a lot with creating the mood but I understand priorities and what not. Overall this was awesome and inspiring to me.
Cool Katamri clown. it took a while for my snowball to grow but when it, oh boy I got excited. there were a couple of glitches where the snowball would clip through the ground but when I restarted the game it worked fine. Overall good job.
I think you did a great job of making the music match the mechanics. Great feel, clean and simple. Nice job.
Great entry. Professionally executed and loved the overall mood as well as replay value!
I thought the concept was cool but found the game too difficult
I really enjoyed the PC download of this. I was not to sure off the objective but I found the experience soothing none the less. The static was a nice visual touch that accompanied the sound design really well
For anyone else playing the web port does not do the game justice, download the pc version it's worth it. I think we all deserve some time to just relax :)
Fun Game, I like the visuals, lighting effects and growing mechanic. Good Job!
First of all Great entry, the concept was similar to my game check it out haha.
I do believe your controls were very meaningful and well executed. The game did get repetitive pretty fast and had no sense of pressure or urgency. I believe this could be fixed by either adding a time limit or enemies. kudos to you for integrating both 2 button controls and growing.
Overall great game with a very slick intro and victory screen.
Funny take on the history of Rome. I learned quite a lot actually.
website doesn't load for me.
The website looks like its back up. I loved the concept and minimalist approach. very fun for such a simple game.
I was looking for the ending for a while. My mistake for not reading your notes earlier haha. Great idea! Clean art and functionality. I liked it :)
Great game I loved your controls and mechanics. I found the gameplay very fun and the random generation makes the game have high replay value. I also thought the subtle face changes were a nice touch. Overall great entry good job.
by the way in response to your comment on my game. It fits the theme of "Two Buttons" by having the "Left Click" and "Right Click" being the two buttons. We also didn't apply the second theme grow, although we wanted to we couldn't figure it out without the animations looking off. Luckily the rules say we can use either/or theme so we chose the former.
what a darling game. I loved the sense of progression and the message was touching as well despite the broken English at times. Great entry and I found it awesome that you were able to find time to focus on delivering a story.
I love the art, music, dialogue and overall decision making system. Quality game. Thank you guys for this.
The spikes were very strange but I liked the controls and concept.
Great entry. I loved the voice acting art and gameplay. The the text was blocking the controls and says right click instead of left click. aside from some small bugs this blew my expectations and is something of quality I hope to create in the future. Cheers, one of my favorite games as of yet.
Dudes that was awesome! The pacing of the game was great. I loved the feel of the blood addictive tree when he gets stronger. The music too was on point getting em hyped to kill some knights. This inspires me man it's amazing what you can do with such a limited amount of time. definitely one of my favorite games for this entry. :)
Awesome idea and execution! my only suggestion is that you disable the drawing of lines before all the dots have been drawn.
I love how clean and fun it is. I'm all about small and well-polished games. I appreciate the old style feel and the music was on point as well. Great Job!
Cool concept. I like how you incorporated the basic movement code you had to suit multiple different objectives. There are certainly variables such as the movement and rotation speed that could be tweaked but overall good job!
The animations are incredibly fluid, looks like it was done through motion capture. The game was a bit glitchy like I would be petting the cart which was strange. I wish there was sound too. Interesting entry for sure and would love to see a fleshed out version.
I enjoyed this entry. I found the crafting system to be intuitive. I wish the burning of the grass would create some temporary light at night. I saw your comment on not having all the sounds in, that would have made it that much better. Great job and would love to play an updated verison with more features and sound if you make it!
Thanks everyone for the kind words! Chill was definitely the vibe we were going for.
@steph88 I've uploaded the game on your site. Thanks for the opportunity to show our work!
@Diptoman you gotta shoot down those kites to stop those rebels haha. Thanks for your kind words!
Pros:
- The music was solid. Nice techno beat.
- AI was fun and challenging
- Game felt good and reliable
Cons:
- I wish there was more sound FX for the shooting.
- The art could be better
Nice entry. I like the scaling of difficulty but I would love for the shooting to be done constantly instead of having to constantly fire. Nice work!
Clean UI although I think some sounds and possibly animations could really make this game shine more.
I liked the art style a lot. I did not like how simply clicking on the enemies makes them disappear, I wish there was an animation the played or sound to give some player feedback. also you should include an escape button. Cool game!
This looks great. The movement feels good. I'd love to see how this progresses. I'm looking forward to the postmortem.
Cool game! kinda froze for a bit but was overall pretty fun.
This game is Awesome. One of the best I've played thus far! Did you do this all in SDL2, and how did you learn to code this? I'm getting into SDL myself and this is inspirational!
This is a unique take on the theme. The choice aspect of it is interesting for sure.
Pretty hard game but smooth and quite fun.
Cool game. Everything runs smoothly and the graphics are minimalisticly beautiful.
Unique concept. A lot more fun than I though it would be!
You need to upload the download link!
Interesting take on running out of power. Very applicable to the theme and quite complicated. I like it.
a PDF of the cards that we could print would be great alongside an instructional video
