LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Polarity by Moraleidahgo 2015-04-21T01:49:00

It was all very well done, but the difficulty sort of exploded after round 6. I spent 5-10 minutes trying to get one hit on the enemy once he started using his shield. Really cool idea anyway.

Ultra Hat Dimension by Crowbeak 2015-04-21T02:42:00

I really want to try it, but it crashes on start up

Echoes of the Forest by Midnight Creators 2015-04-21T02:52:00

I have no idea how you're supposed to move. The buttons on the left side don't seem to do anything. However, the music is fantastic and I love the art. The story has me so very curious and I would love to see more of it

The Day of BEEkoning by ETKWorks 2015-04-21T01:33:00

Absolutely fantastic. I felt a bit cheated when I lost when I ran out of workers despite being able to make tons. If I'd know that, I would have been mashing that button sooner. Other than that, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Great work.

I dont want to hear it by ekun 2015-04-21T01:12:00

That was crazy fun. Reminded me of playing Rhythm Heaven on my DS. Great work!

Dog Bulldozer by tmpxyz 2015-04-21T03:17:00

It's an interesting idea. The music is super loud and the walking controls are weird, but it's an interesting idea.

Warpstrike by TheAsuro 2015-04-21T01:53:00

The game broke after the first time more than 3 enemies showed up. I'm pretty sure the camera shot off to somewhere it shouldn't be. Otherwise, was a fun puzzle experience. Would definitely play more.

Tanks vs. Bicycle by petey123567 2015-04-21T02:19:00

This was fantastic up until the tanks went full Flappy Bird on me. By the time there were so many tanks that I was swerving from city to city in order to dodge, I was laughing so hard I couldn't play. I'm a bit worried about the intel in my head, though, because I'm not sure where it is. :D

Great work.

Dusk by nov1kk 2015-04-21T01:18:00

It's incredibly fun and challenging. It really keeps you on your toes. I love the thought of a gun casting day and night. You won me over the second the platform just flings the lion in the second level. I was having some slight issues with jump delays, but other than that, I never saw a problem with it. Overall, well done!

Catch it ! by Adreqi 2015-04-21T01:08:00

A lot of potential here. Would like to see a lot more to this. Unique uses for the "boomerang" and maybe it dealing more damage to you if it hits you. It took a bit to find out that I could double jump, though.

Great idea.

Gift Of The Gods by MightyToast 2015-04-21T03:07:00

I found the void! I really wish there was more to this one. Everything moved incredibly smooth and it's just fun flinging fiery toast at enemies.

The Adventures of Band Boy by silentbaws 2015-04-21T02:13:00

Playing this game backwards is super fun.

Knight Time Day Time by ragnarolis 2015-04-21T01:43:00

Interesting idea, however, the enemies are too many and take too much damage to die. I cannot imagine surviving more than a new minutes. Great idea, but it could use some polishing

CRUD by block97 2015-04-21T02:03:00

I read the description and you got me hooked. The idea in itself is absolutely hilarious and I love the concept. The fact that you get refrigerators tossed at you is great. I wish you could suck up debris just a little quicker, but overall I love it.

Orion's Battle by w1n5t0n 2015-04-21T01:24:00

Super fun. Despite your bomb explanation, I felt like I was flying around and trying to cook enemies with my engines. A polished version of this would definitely steal a few hours of my life. Good job!

SPACE CHUCK by Tomcat94 2015-04-21T01:18:00

Got stuck on the "Help" screen. Otherwise, it's a good start. Some ability to aim would be really cool, even if it's completely unreliable or based on the object you're throwing.

LD33 — You are the Monster

WUF by TravisChen 2015-08-25T01:40:00

From what I was able to tell, there is a lot of potential here. I'm not sure what all there is to do, but I found a lot of ways to die and also, I escaped from the enclosure by running up the hill. I am interested in seeing more of this game.

Baby Cakes by PeteGrammarman 2015-08-25T02:51:00

Great idea. The only issue that I had with it was that there were no evident clues as to who I was supposed to dunk into the cake. Good job!

The Werewolf Among Others by arzi 2015-09-05T13:27:00

Getting back to you about your comment: Yes! It's possible to destroy pretty much everything except the island itself. The building tiles stop taking damage after they're broken so you often have to break more than just the bottom rows.

Thanks for playing! I'm going to leave this open so I can get to your game after work. :)

Childhood Monsters by camthestar 2015-08-26T09:35:00

1st Thought:
Perfect use of theme!

Pros:
#datmusicthough
If the art were done in a darker style, this game would legit creep me out haha.
Controls felt good, monster speed vs children speed was perfect.

Cons:
The plain blue background. It kind of took away from the game I felt.

Overall:
Nice simple game. Good job

Colossal Shakedown by wallmasterr 2015-08-26T08:03:00

Incredibly interested, but alas, no kinect. Very curious to see gameplay.

Adam by elemel 2015-08-26T08:00:00

1st Thought:
The throw button should be something other than shift. When dealing with a group of angry villagers, the Windows sticky keys window pops up a lot

Pros:
Like OGT said, there's something awesome about throwing villagers into other villagers. There's nothing to this game in it's current state, and I only stopped to move onto rating other games, lol.

Cons:
I don't feel like it's fair to nitpick things at this stage of development. I just wish you had more time to work on this.

Overall:
Could potentially be a fun "High Score" game.

taikun by zillix 2015-08-25T03:42:00

This was a nice treat.

You are the Slime by EmanP 2015-08-26T08:12:00

1st Thought:
"This jumping mechanic confuses me"

Pros:
Art style was nice.
Neat idea.

Cons:
Background music would be nice :)
Controls? Do you just move REALLY slow? And jumping was inconsistent.

Overall:
If gameplay were a little more fast paced, and the controls were improved, this could be pretty fun.

Bloblivion by jackrugile 2015-08-26T07:13:00

1st Thought:
Music = Phenomenal

Pros:
Music obviously
Art was well done
Solid mechanics..mostly (see below)

Cons:
None really to speak of. This is a simple game, and you did well.
The only thing I can mention is that when you shoot, you slowly move backwards, and once you reach the edge of the screen, you move downward. You can almost cheat by doing this, as it allows you to move to the bottom left corner. I achieved a score of 265 by forcing myself to the bottom left, and spam shooting toward the top right, lol.

Overall:
Great job on a simple game.

The Void Beast by Nichii 2015-08-26T12:05:00

1st Thought:
"Only 100 mana? God I hope I can level....Oh thank god, I can level."

Pros:
I like the whole idea of killing the village while they flee through the caverns. I really love having to use the terrain to ambush them.
The abilities were nice.

Cons:
Art was a bit lack luster.
Music would have made this amazing.

Overall:
I really like the idea, and would love to see this further in development.

Run, Frankenstein's Monster, Run! by Jacksendary 2015-08-26T07:02:00

1st Thought:
The scrolling speed of the level is so fast, combined with the jump height/ distance, that it becomes more about luck, than any amount of skill.

Pros:
I like the art/ music. They synced well to create the mood.
I like the spin on the runner concept.

Cons:
(see first thought)
It would have been nice to have a sound effect and maybe character flash or something when taking damage. It took me a few runs to even realize I could take damage.

It took me a few runs to realize that the dots were power ups, lol.

Overall:
I feel like if the scroll speed/ jump mechanic were fixed, this would be a nice little runner.

Possessive by PeculiarCarrot 2015-08-25T00:57:00

This was super enjoyable.

PokEscape: Magicrap's Stealthy Journey for Survival & Gyrodeuce by Tuism 2015-08-26T09:23:00

1st Thought:
"Wow, this looks really well done"

Pros:
Art.
Gameplay was very well balanced, and the controls felt good.
I liked the rad stealth system.

Cons:
The feeling of being the monster just wasn't there.
The music didn't quite fit the feel, it was just kind of there.

Overall:
Very well done, I legitimately enjoyed playing this. Great Job.

Soup by JoshDBB 2015-08-25T00:58:00

An interesting take on the theme. I enjoyed how this very simple set of rules becomes a fight for survival with no added complexity. Great job!

Your Are The Slime! by Andrew Patton 2015-08-25T01:47:00

Overall a very nice game. The concept was solid and the execution was well done. If I had to suggest of improvements, I would say that it would benefit greatly from more audio components, music and sfx. Overall, a great game. Sidenote* I've always wanted to be a clan devouring slime.

Virion Alpha by Bloodyaugust 2015-08-26T06:48:00

First thought is that I was disappointed it didn't continue. I wanted to play more.

Pros:
Graphics were nice.
I liked that the size of the cell correlated to its output speed and health.
What audio was there, I felt was a good fit.
I really liked how this is a very simple game, but still left me wanting more.

Cons:
The first one that comes to mind is going forward, the ability to zoom in and out would be an absolute necessity. Obviously with what is currently playable, it's not that big a deal, but I assume later levels would be much larger.
Again, this is a non-issue in it's current state, but I feel background music would be a good way to ease frustrations with future levels.
I feel like you guys kinda dropped the ball on the theme though. If you're going for the "monster inside" thing, I feel as though more could have been done to reinforce that. I realize 72 hours isn't a lot of time, but while playing this, the "You are the monster" theme was not present.

Overall, I would love to play this if it's ever finished, really, there isn't a lot to complain about. It's a simple game, and you did well.

Quarantine by BoskoSokolov 2015-08-25T01:21:00

I ran out of people at 5. Great concept for a game. Its easily addictive with the gradual increase in ability. The weakest part of the game was the lack of sound effects. It would have helped with immersion to give the player that feedback in my opinion. Overall, great job!

The Truth by HolyBlackCat 2015-08-26T10:17:00

1st Thought:
"Omg, customizable controls, this one is gonna be good."

Pros:
YOU CAN AIM DOWN WHILE JUMPING
#datleveldesign
The use of dialogue to make a story didn't result in awkwardness, great job.
I like the implementation of the "You're the Monster" theme.

Cons:
The old man's dialogue was kinda lame :P
Really, I just wanted to keep playing, so I guess that's not really a con.

Overall:
Great job. This was a really well done game. It could use some polish here and there, but I would be interested to see this progress past LD33.

Angry Bull by Maxxim 2015-08-25T00:43:00

A few typos here and there in text, no big deal.

I almost agreed with the moon519, but then I played a few rounds and got up to about level 4 in everything and the controls were phenomenal.

That said, the hikers need to not come from the edge, or at least not be able to return to the edge that they came from. I understand that this gives a degree of strategy in waiting for the hikers to get far enough in and striking from behind, BUT every once in a while a hiker just pops out, goes "oh no, I'm outta here."

Rowdy Boo by merzlot 2015-08-26T08:49:00

1st Thought:
The camera movement/ mouse sensitivity needs to be turned up.

Pros:
The drawing on the wall. I died laughing, lol.
The music could not have been more perfect.
The lighting really added to the monster mood, excellent job.

Cons:
Some of the jumps were a bit ridiculous in terms of difficulty.
Mouse sensitivity.

Overall:
GREAT job. This is my favorite by a landslide out of 14 total I've played so far.

Monster Disco by Four Quarters 2015-08-26T07:37:00

1st Thought:
"What the hell am I doing that is Good, Bad, and Perfect?...and why?"

Pros:
Art and music, hands down. Great job on both.
Solid mechanics, animations looked nice.

Cons:
Other than the obvious "Press S over the people/ things" I had no idea what I was doing. I couldn't tell if I was being hit when attacked, or if the goal was to survive the wave? It was very unclear.

Overall:
If things were made more clear, I feel like this game would be a smashing success.

Eat Sheep & Die by Conk 2015-08-26T12:35:00

1st Thought:
"Huh....neat"

Pros:
Graphics fit the feel of the game well.
I like this music.
Concept is pretty cool.

Cons:
Is there a way to take damage? I assume the camo serves an armor of sorts, but I never found a way to get hurt.

Overall:
Cute game, could be fun with some polish.

Neverending Forest of Beasts by dosmaen 2015-08-26T07:50:00

1st Thought:
"Holy mother of god, I need new pants"
(What I said when the battle music abruptly started for the first time)

Pros: Has the potential to be a fun little dungeon crawler type game.
Art/ music were ok.

Cons:
Menu was fairly sloppy, but it wasn't confusingly so.
The whole Killer Bunny thing could have fit the "You are the monster" theme, but I feel like there wasn't enough present to support this.

Overall:
Has potential. I would be curious to see what you did with this, given more time. Looking forward to seeing your entry for LD34 :)

DRUMSTER by SoulGame 2015-08-26T11:52:00

1st Thought:
"How am I the Monster?"

Pros:
I liked seeing a rhythm game thrown into the mix :D
Art/ Music were good

Cons:
Very loose fit for the theme
I feel like allowing players to set the 4 keys to their liking would have been a good option.

Overall:
I wish I could have played more, but the DFJK keys made it difficult to progress for me, lol.

Adventures of Tic Tac (the cat) by namrog84 2015-08-26T08:31:00

1st Thought:
"I AM GOD CAT! FEAR ME! BLAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHFFFFFHHHH"

Pros:
Fun Concept
I like the physics based gameplay

Cons:
Controls were a little weird.
I just wish I could have done more, like scratch things, etc.

Overall:
With the addition of a timer (like, the owner coming home from work) and access to the rest of the house, this would be an amazing "wreck as much of the house as possible" game lol. Good job. Cool idea.

Shark Swimulator by Karai17 2015-08-25T03:06:00

Looks GORGEOUS, but I found playing it a little big confusing. Objectives are not well defined so as a player, I was not sure what to do next.

Elven Blood by nihilaleph 2015-08-26T06:15:00

Pros:
The mood is quite nice. The music, in combination with the colors, and fire, etc. all come together well.

I like the story telling method of dumping the character into an event where the player knows nothing. It's a good way to hook the player from the start. It made me want to keep playing.

I like how you did the fire with 2 frames of scribble. Good job.

As others have said, nice twist on the monster theme. Kudos.

Cons:
Controls are very floaty. The gradual acceleration/ deceleration was annoying to get used to, and even once I was accustomed to it, I still felt it took away from the game.

The visual aid for the humans vision I feel was necessary, but it was very misleading. I'm not sure what the giant block of white was for, as it seemed to serve no purpose save to mock illumination. At first I thought the yellow cone in the center was the "they've seen you" zone, but you can still be seen a little outside the cone.
Also, the white block obstructs player view of platforms and such, so there were often times where I had no idea there was a platform to be jumped on until the human turned away.

I didn't like how it's possible to avoid killing the humans, but then if you finish the level without killing them, you have to restart anyway. I feel like, at the very least, the level design could force your hand. So you have to "clear your path" so to speak.

Overall:
I feel like the mood was definitely the best feature, and the floaty controls were the worst.
If the controls were tightened up, and the visual aid for the human's view were changed, this is a game I would thoroughly enjoy. Kudos.

Elven Blood by nihilaleph 2015-08-28T02:52:00

@nihilaleph
Replayed.
The human view cone seems to be fixed. It accurately represents where you can be seen.
The giant white...thing (lol) is gone, so no more issues seeing platforms.
The floaty controls still remain however.
To try to describe it with more detail, as MGD mentioned it lies almost purely in the player characters horizontal movements speed.
When you start running, you go from 0% speed to 100% speed in a little less than 3 seconds. Same for 100% - 0%
This gradual accel/ decel, is what makes it feel "floaty"

Also, I think I was misunderstood about the killing vs not killing thing. I absolutely agree with your decision to give the player the option. What I was saying was if you try to complete the level without killing them, it makes you restart as if you had died. Meaning that while you CAN avoid killing them, you still have to to "win."

As another final thought, if the controls are adjusted a little, even in the games current state, I would thoroughly enjoy playing through multiple levels. All things considered, this was one of my favorite games out of about 30 I've tested :D

Trogg Village Defense by thebrickanator 2015-08-26T05:13:00

The first half was a lot of fun, and the second half felt a lot of fun, but for some reason I always dreaded the switch.

Monster Hunt by JK5000 2015-08-26T11:39:00

1st Thought:
"Is this 1st person view?...wait....there I am."

Pros:
I like the idea of the real time tower defense type thing. The potential is definitely there.
Simple yet effective use of theme.

Cons:
The controls are so awkward. Very nearly makes it unplayable.
I feel like as the monster, you shouldn't be building walls, you should be destroying theirs. They should be the ones defending.

Overall:
I love the idea, however the execution I think missed the mark. Definitely has potential.
I would like to see this further into development.

Power Lich by rattower 2015-08-26T05:02:00

That was a lot of fun, but I really couldn't beat it. Tried a few times and just can't figure out how to not lose three skeletons per guard. haha. Ah well, great job. :)

Bounce to Win by Juin 2015-08-26T09:51:00

First Thought:
Eh, I guess I AM technically a monster.

Pros:
The mechanics make this game.
The aiming/ bouncing shots off walls, the special bombs, the upgrades you pick up, the even numbered levels, etc. GREAT job.

Cons:
Barely fits the "you are the monster" theme.
The bombs are a little awkward to use. They're almost too slow to be useful.
I understand the point of the camera tracking the ball after you shoot, but often times I'd find myself dead, or very near death after trying to shoot an enemy.

Overall:
One of the best games I have played so far. Out of 18 so far, this is 1 of 2 that has made my favorites list. Excellent job.

Eye In The Sky by djfariel 2015-08-26T00:39:00

Just want to say thank you everyone for the amazing feedback thus far. You're the best. :)

Also, at some point I managed to delete the player's laser's animation. I have it fixed, but I'm not going to post a new build unless I get more fixes to release.

Scabs by bitdecaygames 2015-08-26T06:31:00

Could not start. Raw .jar went to black screen, and every time I try to launch the fixed .jar it gives me "A Java Exception has occurred.
Was really looking forward to this one

Area 17 by SpringCabal 2015-08-26T05:49:00

That was so much fun. I wish there was more "end game" gameplay to it, since you get there so fast. Lots of potential for a fully polished game here. :)

Drunkula by francismoy 2015-08-26T10:37:00

1st Thought:
I love the mood.

Pros:
Nice use of theme
Art style was good. I really like the silhouette level elements.

Cons:
A bit buggy.
Music was fitting, but after a while it was kind of grating as others have said.
Not really a con, but I wanted to bring notice to a bug.
in the third level, if you use the 1st cross to alter gravity as he is just a little bit past it, he winds up under the table, and then walks off screen. I had to restart.

Overall:
I love the concept, I love your take on the theme. If some of the kinks were worked out, and you guys continued development, this is a game I would definitely be interested in :)

Tiny Sad Kraken by Erlend Aakre 2015-08-25T02:38:00

Two things: 1. I am downloading this game to play fully later. 2. You scared me half to death when I attacked my first ship. I thought I had died. Great game. I'm hugely happy about the tiny sad kraken.

DESTRUCTION IMP by q2k2k 2015-08-25T01:44:00

Hit feedback would be great. I think all of the projectiles move WAY too fast. I can't dodge things AND shoot things at the same time at this speed. Was fun for a short while, though.

Dungeon Destroyer by MCRewind 2015-08-26T05:38:00

Same, no Data file

SPACE JUNK by pixelgriffin 2015-08-25T02:16:00

This game left me wanting more. Overall great. I have no complaints.

You are the Dragon by koniu699 2015-08-26T12:43:00

1st Thought:
"Who doesn't want to be a dragon?"

Pros:
Art looks good despite it's simplicity.
The health box is a neat idea.

Cons:
No music or sound.
Hit boxes were really awkward.
Pretty plain. There's almost nothing to the game.

Overall:
A system of progression, complete with various abilities and enemies/ bosses/ points would make this game amazing.

Small People Problems by Brainfreezeman 2015-08-26T12:52:00

1st Thought:
"Oh my God, I love their run animation!"

Pros:
Holy crap this is fun!
Excellent use of theme.
Controls are smooth, it feels so refined.
Graphics looks great, audio is wonderful.

Cons:
No way to zoom in or out.
Umm...the worm didn't have laser beams.

Final Thought:
"Oh my god, I love their run animation!"

Attack On Cthulhu by lancemaker 2015-08-26T09:00:00

1st Thought:
No sound?

Pros:
Art is pretty good
The base idea of being an angry Cthulu is interesting.

Cons:
No objective or progression.
No sound.

Overall:
With music/ sfx, and some sort of point to playing, this would be a lot of fun :)

Many Jumping Men Are Coming by tullyhansen 2015-08-25T01:02:00

Sideways Mario meets Flappy Bird. This was great fun.

Dino Domination by ThisIsDaniel 2015-08-25T03:23:00

In Dino Domination, you play as a wingless baby dragon who can't quite dance on beat. While dancing, you must outrun and cook alive as many innocent knights and giant mechs as possible without being slain yourself.

Good fun. :D

Doppelhunger by Meat Us 2015-08-25T02:11:00

Looks great but the controls didn't work. I could only move down and to the right, so I ended up in a corner. This may just be a bug. From what I saw, a great game aside from that control issue that made it (at least for me) unplayable.

Monster Defense by Aun 2015-08-26T11:24:00

1st Thought:
"...I'm confused"

Pros:
Art and music are well done. Good job on both.
Can't argue, I'm definitely the monster. Proper use of theme, lol.

Cons:
I guess I wish there was more to it. I liked the idea, there just wasn't a lot there to work with.

Overall:
Good first game. I look forward to seeing your second one.

Almost Heroic by xvw 2015-08-26T11:08:00

1st Thought:
What happened to the "you're the monster" theme?

Pros:
I like the timing command based battle system idea.
The music was really well done.

Cons:
I played for like 20 minutes, and still did not see how this fit the theme at all.
With the timing box being at the bottom right, it really takes the focus off the rest of the screen.
Battles were a bit difficult.

Overall:
I will keep this one and come back to it, I'm curious to see where it goes. Good job so far.

Jeremy the Destructopus by bladesatoshix 2015-08-25T02:17:00

Not a bad start. I did test the limits of the world map and found that I could venture out of the game area. I thus sailed for a time in the endless blue of the Unity sea. Great was to start off Ludum Dare! Clever name as well; the Destructopus.

Jack vs Werewolf by marom 2015-08-26T07:28:00

1st Thought:
So I just....wait for people to be killed?

Pros:
Graphics are pretty decent.
The murder mystery thing is kind of refreshing to see.

Cons:
The whole thing is just very unclear.
The game lacks the theme of "You are the Monster"

Overall:
Decent little game, once you figure out what you're doing.

Bakamon by trashmob 2015-08-25T00:51:00

I really like the style and the concept with this game. That being said, I did find it a little bit frustrating to be unable to see what is around me and I ended up sliding into my death multiple times. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Dragon's Horde by KunoNoOni 2015-08-25T01:30:00

Finally, all those hours spent playing minecraft have paid off! Great idea to go with a physical challenge limitation for the game. The Player screams at the screen "But there are so many guys! How do I kill them all? I just can't shoot them fast enough!" and the game responds "You should click faster." I really enjoyed it. Well done.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Don't Mess With Totems by winesays 2015-12-15T13:09:00

One of the most unique games I've played so far, a lot of fun. Only two complaints: 1. The controls could be more responsive, and 2. Sometimes the next falling totem has spikes that reach down and kill me before I have a chance to react to the next challenge. Since the game requires fine tuned control, the character controller response needs to be very accurate. Other than that, flawless. A great entry.

Sun Station by RARoadkill 2015-12-15T01:18:00

I wanted to let you know that the DL location is not in a public folder so I couldn't play.

ZORC by Andrew Deem 2015-12-15T01:10:00

Unfortunately I encountered a bug where a platform moved in to me and I became stuck. I enjoyed it quite a bit. :)

Hand of Deity by Ludorverr 2015-12-16T02:22:00

Some enemies spawned in illogical places that felt frustrating and futile. Other than that, I was quite engrossed in this game. Well done!

The Super Bros (that are not Brothers!) by Xinelu 2015-12-15T03:01:00

Fun game but I removed the duality of the players by a large degree by just walking back into the left wall till they were side by side.

Row Row Row Your Goat by A-Flat Miner Studios 2015-12-15T05:56:00

That is the best monkey riding collie riding in a goat boat on a quest for sandwiches on a perilous river game that I've ever played!

Drez-eX by Leaghorn 2015-12-15T02:54:00

So hard to snare those little orbs... Was really fun.

Ultimate Panda by bogely 2015-12-15T01:43:00

A lot of fun, just needed SFX and music and it would be a five star submission. Great job!

Don't Stop Drilling by VideoDog 2015-12-15T06:55:00

*Looks at thing behind me* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Skyway by Decentsauce 2015-12-15T01:15:00

Fantastic sound effects. I found that the "powerup" that improved length actually made the game much more difficult.

Fuzzy The Bouncing Ball by InfinitySquaredGames 2015-12-15T01:24:00

Great game, simple and yet fun. Clever gameplay. Almost didn't play because DL required payment, then I saw that I could by-pass that. Also, I ran into a bug where if you hit the edge of a wall just right, you get stuck.

Korruption by Andarilhoz 2015-12-15T02:15:00

Unfair, I wanted to hear the corrupted music and that tended to get me killed. Fun game!

Growing Up by stevepctech 2015-12-15T02:09:00

I wanted to keep going skyward.

Phantom Cell by Suui 2015-12-15T01:07:00

The game was really well presented and I really enjoyed the soundtrack. That being said, the inability to know where enemies were going to be while at the same time being in basically constant motion made progression rather difficult. Also, only have 1 projectile at a time at a cost of 3 powerups made it difficult to get a useful shot off. Mostly its the fact that your enemy is invisible most of the time that got me killed. Still, a great submission. Thanks for posting!

LD35 — Shapeshift

Chromawarp by tower07 2016-04-22T02:25:00

I really like that music actually lol

MODE_SHIFT by RyanNielson 2016-04-20T00:31:00

Just under a minute. Dammit.
Oh, and I lied. I said I'd get to this right away, but I got immediately pulled away from my computer. So I played it now!

This is absolutely fantastic. You hit everything necessary - feedback (both audio and visual) for everything, fun music, addicting gameplay. Can't ask for any more, unless you're wanting to add in more weapons and gameplay. Nothing negative to say! :D

Vikings by timtipgames 2016-04-23T06:31:00

Moved a little slow, but still a pretty decent entry. Good job

I just wish I could drive faster, so it were easier to play with the physics lol

Wormwall by Pixelsalt 2016-04-23T09:21:00

I actually liked this. I felt like there wasn't enough time on the first few to get you used to it though. You basically just have to fail 15 times before you get the hang of it.

Like others have said, music would have really helped to.
Overall, nice entry. Good job

Jeffrey with a Sword by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2016-04-23T06:04:00

I also experienced the attack bug.
I found that the sword has a permanently activated hit box, so if you simply let the enemies run into your resting sword, you win, haha.

Xenosphere by oxysoft 2016-04-23T09:55:00

I like how you used the theme. Too few people are really doing anything with the theme it seems.
Nice entry

Morph Brawl by Seregy7 2016-04-23T09:25:00

Overall I liked this entry. Although I felt there was really very little here even for a compo.
Conceptually, I think something like this could make for a fun game if it was finished.

Star Tribe by GrimGary 2016-04-20T02:19:00

I had a lot of fun playing this game. The biggest thing that it needs is feedback. Overall, a great entry!

Warping Ninja by Glockenspiel 2016-04-22T02:04:00

This was actually pretty fun. Like others have said, I like the concept.

Cat-amorphasis by UltraRat 2016-04-23T06:57:00

WTF Simulator 2016

I have to say, this has definitely been the most original submission yet, and I've rated like 60 haha.

ShapeShifter by NPException 2016-04-23T07:33:00

Clever use of theme lol

SLAHP by FistBumpGames 2016-04-22T03:43:00

Played the download version. Couldn't do anything but move left and right. Tried both controller and keyboard.
I liked the art though.

MetamorphBot by TheCams 2016-04-22T03:35:00

Nice entry, my only real complaint is that there were too many forms for gameplay to really flow.
I still enjoyed playing, and actually completed it though. Good job.

Crystal Mesh by eric777 2016-04-21T04:38:00

This game was actually a lot of fun. I didn't feel like it really fit the theme, but I like the level of challenge it presents.
I'm not sure how the controls would need to be altered, but this would be a fun mobile game if polished :)

Space shifter by eptwalabha 2016-04-23T05:52:00

I had no idea what was going on lol

Hexshaper by excaliburjs 2016-04-21T23:04:00

One of the better entries I've played. Great job.

Space Shifters by Terrabalt 2016-04-23T05:57:00

The striped lasers were harder for my brain to handle than I'd like to admit.

Skywind Temple by Ogniok 2016-04-19T01:50:00

I did it! I beat Superman 64!

Fennec Play by Miko 2016-04-21T01:50:00

I didnt know I was featured in a game. :D

Figment by CaptainPilot 2016-04-21T23:45:00

I am so thoroughly impressed right now. This is the best entry I've played so far.
You more than earned a like/ follow/ sub on all your social media haha.
I feel like shifting dimensions kinda loosely fit the theme, but still. Incredible entry.
I finished this because it deserved to be finished.

Full Metal Fish by sergi0vargas 2016-04-23T14:51:00

Great entry! Dying instantly when you tough the terrain was somewhat punishing and moving was so hypersonically fast that I could hardly progress. But the concepts at work here are really neat. I love evo-progression style games.

Flow by flummox3d 2016-04-23T09:05:00

Excellent use of theme, I loved the intro text.
Super simple, yet amazing entry. Great job!

Slime Matter by HJSR 2016-04-19T01:45:00

Unfortunately the web build doesn't do anything but play music. :(

Lich by ManuSaiz 2016-04-21T05:03:00

Are you supposed to get 70 minions? Great game! Its a fantastic concept for a game and I really enjoyed it!

BeatBox by sausagroll 2016-04-23T15:01:00

While I like the concept, this style of game is best set to music. Still, a nice entry nonetheless.

ShapeUp by Wusakko 2016-04-23T07:12:00

I don't really see how this fits the shape shifting theme at all, but I actually like this concept.
I feel like this could be a pretty decent typing exercise if the UI were arranged in a way where you didn't really have to move your eyes.
Neat idea.

ShapeShift_Platformer by stalker1586 2016-04-23T07:30:00

Pretty decent entry. The transition from form to form made gameplay feel very choppy. It got to the point where I was annoyed to have to change forms.
Conceptually, I liked it.
Good job overall.

It's Just a Phase! by terryg 2016-04-23T08:03:00

I really like this concept for a Puzzler/ Platformer. As other have stated, the shifting feels a little slow when you're only near one crystal.
The colliders were a bit buggy. I got stuck in a corner once or twice, but overall a decent entry. Great Job.

Shape Shifter by Reisen 2016-04-23T09:34:00

Changed my life.
These are the games we need for 2016.

For real though, nice use of theme haha. This is my 81st entry I'm rating, and I'd put this among the top 5, bravo lol

Trionic by djfariel 2016-04-19T02:14:00

@jcmonkey You can use your shield to make yourself wider to cross it. Or you can just fly!

Trionic by djfariel 2016-04-19T02:16:00

@d3garcia && @zaywolfe
I just tested both non-windows downloads and they're working here. Best I can suggest is to try again. It might be a problem on Itch.io's end, but unfortunately I can't open the files to see if they're working.

Trionic by djfariel 2016-04-23T19:46:00

@Dreschler We use Pyxel Edit for the base sprite work and animations, and we use Gimp for the effects.

Planet-0 by Dreschler 2016-04-23T05:27:00

One of the better entries I've played. Good job.

Parts Needed by SpringCabal 2016-04-23T06:17:00

The audio, lighting, and grain filter did an excellent job setting the mood. Before I even moved I knew you at least knew a little about what you were doing.
Kind of a weird game, still not really sure what exactly was going on. Regardless, I'd say this make the top 5 out of about 50 I've rated. Great job!

Fishy Fishy by littlelinc 2016-04-21T00:44:00

Nice! Game play is addicting. I ate all the fish and lived forever in shame as an angler... great job!

Shifter Arena by Wedge McCloud 2016-04-21T05:03:00

I am legit mad that this isn't a fully featured game. If there we're different type of enemies, enemy movement, elemental weaknesses, progressive waves, etc, this game would be AMAZING on mobile.
The different forms we're a bit unbalanced, but I only stopped playing because I need to play and rate more stuff. If you don't continue development on this, I'm going to be mad at you lol.

Space Shifter by superjai 2016-04-23T05:48:00

I disliked the controls, but they were usable. I actually had fun playing this entry. That's rare, lol. Great entry!

DroneWatch by zzapp 2016-04-23T07:55:00

Out of 60+ entries I've rated, this was the first one where the Unity Web Player was the only play option. Had to download Firefox just to try this out. Maybe offer a download option next time :)
Nice entry though. This was actually one of the better ones I've rated. As others have said, I'd be interested to see where this went if development continued.

I completed a Ludum Dare entry.

I liked this. Conceptually, finding forms to use to complete levels in a platformer is amazing. Pretty neat idea. Nice entry.

Space Shifter by Spiria 2016-04-23T05:40:00

Spacetopus. That is all

Barwoman by DanielParra 2016-04-23T09:09:00

Fun little game, I feel like it gets way too hard too quickly though.
Not sure how this fits shape shifting :/

Wax by Squid 2016-04-22T03:06:00

I knew.
For a fact.
I was going to hate this game.
I was so wrong haha.
I really like the concept of a platformy puzzle game where you do candle stuff. Nice entry!

Shape Escape by JoeManaco 2016-04-23T06:46:00

3rd Ludum Dare game I've ever completed. Congratulations, lol. Great entry, I like the concept

Shadow Brawlers by Paco 2016-04-23T07:07:00

Your start menu alone counted as one of the better submissions I played, lol. Good job.

Shifting Temple by Tex Killer 2016-04-23T08:25:00

Could not run on Windows 10
0xc000007b

ChickenShift by fenwick 2016-04-20T01:57:00

The concept is really solid for this one. There were a few collision issues that made it a little bit difficult to move around, but it was fun none-the-less. The only real criticism is that you can't tell if the chicken is looking at you or not, making it hard to plan your next move. Overall, a great entry!

Morpheus Triad by 11Schotter 2016-04-21T04:25:00

Really liked the art. Movement was pretty awkward. Top down view combined with forward motion following the cursor feels really unnatural.
Again...#thatarttho

Season Shifter by fb_holzbaum 2016-04-23T10:07:00

Art looked nice, and the concept was pretty neat, but as others have said, the game handles poorly. It wasn't very playable :(

ScapeShift by ClockwerkClover 2016-04-19T02:05:00

That was really interesting. I didn't get very far before I flooded my cities, but... there's a lot of potential for something incredibly pleasing here.

The Adventures of Blinky, The Square-Shaped Round-Thing by peter_sc 2016-04-23T09:59:00

I figured out by accident that touching the bigger circle thing means I win. I was so lost on everything.
Objective? Controls? Why are one of the aliens bigger and immobile?

Shape Escape by legavroche 2016-04-22T00:25:00

Nice little entry. Only complain is that instead of feeling like your success is based on your own skill, it feels far more dependent upon your luck with coin spawns.

The Forgotten Weapon by Humorcet 2016-04-23T09:17:00

Not sure how this fits shape shifting, but it was still a fun little entry.

Tetrikado by mightymarcus 2016-04-23T08:55:00

Nice entry, more challenging tower shapes would have made this even more enjoyable I think.

Magical Cyclone by fsqrt 2016-04-23T09:12:00

Really liked the art, and sounds.
Nice entry.
Theme though?

PsychoShift by Ratmena 2016-04-22T04:52:00

The controls we're pretty frustrating. Having to move your fingers off the movement keys to shift was pretty inefficient.
It's a shame, because it seems like a pretty well done game.

Outterspace Minions Game by gandoulff 2016-04-23T08:43:00

I have no idea what was even going on. I couldn't control Player 1, Player 2 could be controlled with the arrow keys sometimes...not sure if I was experiencing a weird bug or what.

Town Heroes by picxinet 2016-04-23T10:03:00

I liked the music.
I was pretty lost on what to do.
Sending Nofiremon to the fire was pretty self explanatory, but when I did nothing happened?

Forest Mage by Lewwwer 2016-04-23T14:40:00

The spell shaper box was a cool idea. Unfortunately, I found that I didn't have quite enough hands to manipulate all of the controls effectively. Great entry!

The Elemental by Zormon 2016-04-22T00:51:00

Game looked amazing, but ultimately I stopped playing because of the beginning of the level. You walk for what feels like a solid minute before you get to the first ledge.
Still, #thatarttho

LD36 — Ancient Technology

War party by Rogue Sprite 2016-08-30T03:14:00

I really like the core of what this game is about. It saddens me that I cannot do the research and upgrades and build up my mighty horde with which I might cover all the lands in darkn....bring about an age of prosperity I mean (for me). Great work!

BitBullet by ccglp 2016-08-30T02:55:00

I wasn't sure what to do once the screen went crazy. was enjoying the text based play though. Nice entry!

Pyramidtor : the commander's legacy by MartinFernandez 2016-08-31T04:49:00

I wasn't quite sure what the objective was to be honest. At first, I thought that I was fighting the pyramid, then I realized that I was the pyramid. I started moving and saw that I had to dodge the enemy bullets, so it was kind of like flappy bird (That is not a bad thing). I liked the game but there were a few problems.

1. The enemy attacks were so many and so often that I couldn't dodge more than a handful of them. Given that their wasn't enough space to move the large sprite through the spaces inbetween, I took a lot of damage. I would narrow down the attack locations on the enemies to something that can be dodged given player skill, or adding a health item component to allow the player to tank the hits for longer and thus cause the game to be more forgiving.

2. The laser didn't feel satisfying. Don't get me wrong, I love lasers, everyone does, but this one was lacking in the satisfaction department. The laser just hardly seemed to do any damage. It would have really helped to have some sort of visual feedback to indicate what the laser was hitting.

Other than those issues, the game has potential. Great job!

Temple Guy by wr4th88 2016-08-31T00:53:00

Nice game. I enjoyed the time shifting mechanic, It added another dimension to the gameplay. Two issues though:

1. The character is painfully slow, it would go a long way to increase his movement speed.

2. I kept pressing 3 at the doorway to use the key, but it didn't work. Finally, I did the old tried and true method of hitting all the buttons and found that "up" in front of the door was the key to using the key.

Ohter than that, a great title.

Ancient Robot Wrecks Peaceful Town by Dimatt 2016-08-30T03:33:00

He's so misunderstood. He wants to live in peace and harmony but for that blasted cold!

I have a lot of fun with this game. The carnage felt visceral, helicopters intimidating, and the damage satisfying. My only really gripe is that the screenshake was so intense I couldn't hardly tell what was going on. Great entry.

Orgog's Prison by Fib 2016-08-31T04:37:00

A me is slain many fold by Orgog and his badness lackeys!

Fun game, I was terrible at playing it, but it was fun. That second level though, a bit rough. I walked in and got pwned...was that how it was supposed to happen? Since the enemies just kept spawning from the tents, I didn't have much of a prayer to take them out.

Overall a great entry! Just needs a nice catchy soundtrack.

Temple Escape by jayemjee 2016-08-31T02:44:00

Sad that the camera was so slow. I think it would be better to have it follow the player. No one likes auto-scrollers! Well done otherwise, though. Polish it up. :)

Dont Get Eaten by Dinosaurs by Garrett Hoofman 2016-08-31T05:00:00

So dinosaur...you eat me? I think not! Me eat you!

Okay, so I had a lot of fun playing this game. It was simple but enjoyable. I would have liked to see more upgrade options, and more exploration, but the core of the game was a lot of fun. clubbing the predators down when they attacked me was hilarious. A great entry, one of my favorites so far!

Ancient Invaders by Insality 2016-08-31T06:14:00

That was interesting. Found a bug where if you hold down the attack key and switch characters, the other character will keep attacking. A lot of potential for a full game here. Good work!

Aqueduct Defense Force by BoxedMeatRevolution 2016-08-31T03:12:00

I didn't even realize you could add multiple aqueducts to the same building until I asked myself what I was missing and came back here. That was pretty cool. You should expand on it and see where it goes!

Nomore by djfariel 2016-08-31T02:30:00

@NoobDude29 Hey, what version of the game are you playing? I haven't had this issue so I'm not sure why it's happening!

@steph88 Thanks. We'll look in to it!

@Dimatt Thanks a bunch. The main goal is to teach the player how to play without telling them. We didn't know how to teach the player about the dash, though, so we fell a little short.

@TeamKawaiiju Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I recommend playing the newest build. The boss is actually fun now!

@jayemjee Thanks! While I'm also not a huge fan of extra lives, I feel that they really did the job well here. You should try one of our older games -- they're completely unforgiving. We were honestly going for a Megaman feel with the spikes, but I can see Sonic, too. Same difference. Sorry you didn't like them! The boss is fixed now, though. We put him together in the last hour of the jam and didn't get to do near what we wanted. Sorry for the disappointment, but he's fixed in the newest version if you want to give it a shot! :)

Nomore by djfariel 2016-08-31T14:43:00

@Mr. Chelnoque
@NoobDude29
What operating system are you running? The Linux and OSX versions are untested, as we have access to neither. Otherwise, try clicking on the Play Game button and wait a few seconds - it might just be slow for you.

Nomore by djfariel 2016-08-31T15:06:00

@Mr. Chelnoque
@NoobDude29
Otherwise, if that doesn't work, close the game, reopen it, and without clicking anything, press the Z, J, or Spacebar keys. That should start the game from the menu if the "New Game" button is selected.

Nomore by djfariel 2016-08-31T15:13:00

@Mr. Chelnoque
That's baffling. If you don't mind sending the output log to fariel at unibearstudio dot com that might help me figure out what's going on.
It's located in the "nomore_data" folder next to the game's executable, and called output_log.txt.

Topeka Jones: Raider of the Lost Temple by TeamKawaiiju 2016-08-31T03:04:00

THIS COMMENT CONTAINS SPOILERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO PLAY THROUGH THIS NORMALLY.

This was fantastic. A few things.
First, xylophone room can be ran in to from the start, which traps the player below and forces a quit. Can be fixed by increasing distance.
Second, the urn room was really hard not because of the puzzle itself, but because the four urns were not in a line. This, coupled with the fact that the walls had the same pattern, made it very confusing as to what EXACTLY I was doing. I eventually figured it out, though.
Third, grabbing an urn and jumping on top of it lets you fly. This means you can get out of the level during the "final run."
Lastly, I had no idea what the scary magic zodiac symbols were so I just jumped over them and carried on.

Awesome job all around. I'm impressed. :)

Lost Temple by Dietrich Epp 2016-08-30T03:24:00

Nice game. Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. Great job! The only con I can think of is that the jump was a little bit weak.

Lost Artifacts by rynti 2016-08-31T00:40:00

Great game! I had a lot of fun playing it. I haven't decided if it is better to be a wizard of fire or a sorcerer of falling earth. Either was it was a lot of fun. Simple mechanics and easy to learn. Great job. I would suggest that perhaps the character could move a little bit faster though, dodging enemies wasn't exactly a thing.

The Sphere Globe by fusionnist 2016-08-31T05:11:00

An interesting game. The core mechanics were good but it could use the tweeking.

1. The general speed of the game is a little fast, especially for starting out. It might have been how similar the dangerous things were from the safe things, but I had a hard time telling what was going on.

2. Difficulty curve. The difficulty in this game goes from 5 where it starts out to about 11 by the next panel. It would go a long way to give the player a chance to become accustomed to a particular set of skills and challenges before increasing the difficulty on them again. Another good point I've heard made by various game devs is the idea of introducing new difficulties in an isolated way, let the player face a new aspect of the game in an isolated way before throwing it at them in a more complex environment.

That all said, it was a solid entry. You did a great job!

This room leads to happiness by Bejk 2016-12-13T02:15:00

I loved the difficulty scale. Easy normal and hard? More like Git Gud Skrub! That part made me laugh.

The game itself was fun, but I would suggest a few changes. Increase the rate of fire to make the combat more intense and involving. Take the enemies from two hits down to one hit. Create incentive to move around the room and to keep on fighting. Everything was well done and worked great, but I found myself hiding in one corner out of the aggro range of most of the enemies and found little reason to venture out from there.

Overall, a great submission!

Dethroned by Devastus 2016-12-14T06:08:00

Really solid, simple game. Great artwork, good sound effects and music.

I somehow broke it, I hadn't realized ENTER would put in stats and instead hit space.

I found that pressing space again, resets the 'fade out', so I tapped the space key and quickly bought some stats.

The game then pit me up against some knight who did like a 100-hit combo and crashed.

Tower of Doom by Levin 2016-12-13T01:34:00

Ghost bros just trying to help you climb the tower. So misunderstood. I liked this game but I found the controls to be a little bit to stiff. Also would have liked to see wasd as an input option. It was difficult navigating certain parts of the level layout due to the characters limited range. Still, a great attempt. Thanks for submitting!

Lost In The Dance by Lukeryn 2016-12-14T04:59:00

Laser Panic by ACCBDD 2016-12-13T00:18:00

The grappling hook is actually pretty cool. I'd be interested in knowing how you did it in Unity.

radnet by radmars 2016-12-14T04:22:00

I dunno if I just got lucky, or what, but I just opped everyone who came in to the room, downloaded a cool background track, and sat around opping people. Nothing bad happened. Was amusing. :)

Army Of One by lekiy 2016-12-15T23:08:00

I do like the idea of repairing the mech.

The theme wasn't really present.

Got to the door. Couldn't figure out how to open it. The voiceover was absolutely fantastic.

Buried Alive Simulator by patvanmackelberg 2016-12-13T00:59:00

This game is really underground. It's incredibly deep. You have to play it to really dig its intentions.

Room & Gloom by batmanasb 2016-12-13T01:03:00

I started playing and I thought that it was strange that the orb never got faster, then I hit up.....

Really interesting concept, if its been done before, I haven't seen it often. It was a lot of fun. Thank you for submitting!

Arena 3000 by automatonvx 2016-12-13T01:27:00

Hearing music and sound effects on a compo is pretty awesome. I can tell that you work hard on this. I think that the controls would be much improved if the mouse aimed the attack. I know the shoot where you are pointing is an old classic, but I never much cared for it. We also did an arena style game. Nice work!

Sneaking and Squeaking by DragonZBW (SparkLight Games) 2016-12-14T03:20:00

No way to close the game and no way out of the bonus material if you haven't played the game yet. :(
I actually played all the way through. Downside to first person is that it makes the fan section really hard. Otherwise, good work!

LD38 — A Small World

Legend of the Mountain by Zathnic 2017-05-02T01:55:46Z

This was pretty cool. The music was great. I wish there was some kind of UI for number of orbs collected. Had I known how close I was, I might have tried to find them all. That's all I got!

Micro-World Defense by SaxOps1 2017-05-02T02:33:35Z

Apparently the best score possible is 1772. It was a lot of fun, but more variance or random elements would have added replayability. Good job!

Big Foot in Smalltown by urbanhelsing 2017-05-02T01:22:18Z

I have no idea how to play this game. Even quick clicks resulted in my dying and restarting. I was able to move one foot once.

EAT by djfariel 2017-05-12T21:38:05Z

@piller-yann That's... not true at all? The game takes place within 100 meters of the center. It tells you this. Sure, you can not touch controls and drift off in to Oblivion where there is no game, but that is not the game playing itself.

A Small Planet by rayriver 2017-05-02T02:17:47Z

The jump sound was grating. I don't know what it was, but it sounded like it popped halfway through, and by the end of the game I had a headache.

That said, this game was fantastic. I loved the loop-around and metroid-vania feel of it. Not a lot I could suggest for improvement. Very well done.

The Taker by Epicsoft 2017-05-02T04:06:04Z

I liked this game, but a lot of the potential was held back in the camera. I couldn't get it to work reliably enough to actually play beyond the second level. That said, the mechanics for the rest of the game were pretty good.

Cell Wars by pjnovas 2017-05-02T03:42:24Z

This was... interesting. The powerups weren't super clear on what they did. I also couldn't tell why new cell things would pop up out of nowhere. It seems like there wasn't a clear way to win.

That said, it played well. The foundation here is solid to make a good game. Keep at it. :)

HexCity by MartensCedric 2017-05-02T05:06:51Z

This was an interesting challenge. I can't think of how to really improve on it, though. Oh, and the purpose of the "planet" in the center of our game is... well, it's a black hole. It attracts debris and gets rid of it. :)

Meteor Jam by PeachTreeOath 2017-05-02T03:20:14Z

Holy crap, that was great. The last level wrecked me. I don't really have any negative feedback here. Great work.

Exit.. space left by HomineLudens 2017-05-02T03:37:05Z

This was nice. I have no complaints. Make more. :)

The Last Acorns by RAC-Games 2017-05-02T02:45:24Z

This game was nuts.

...

Yeah, uh, the character controller felt great, except for when you hang in the air during your jump. I actually absolutely love the jump. I feel like a face hugger leaping toward my prey. It's great. The game didn't have much challenge, though. Thank could have been alleviated by adding either different enemies, or giving the enemies more than one shot to kill. Great work. :)

Winter by cdrch 2017-05-02T01:28:47Z

How did you test this game? The move speed of the character is so excruciatingly slow that I gave up after about 5 minutes and accomplished literally nothing but walking. Sorry.

Core Fall by Pickler 2017-05-02T03:47:48Z

That was a lot of fun for what little there was. :)

Kid Monsters Smash Party by Moaid_T4 2017-05-02T02:51:52Z

This was a lot of fun. Normal mode seemed way too hard. I didn't win out of five tries, so I tried a procedural and had a blast. A sprint button might be nice to have! Great job. :)

Shrunk Down by Chrras 2017-05-02T03:03:52Z

John got big again? oh myyyyyy

MathijsVissers said most of what I wanted to say regarding bugs. One way to fix the wall sticking issue is to give the player's rigidbody a material with 0 friction. Thanks for the game. :)

Nine llama years later....

Crustacean Frustration by nofxboy1234 2017-05-02T01:18:15Z

This was actually pretty fun. I liked the way the character felt, jumping around and attacking. The knockback on enemies felt great, and the music just tied it all together fantastically. My primary complaint was that the ability to double jump was not conveyed at all, so I was confused for my first few moments of playing and being unable to reach higher platforms.

Great job all around! Shoot for a bigger project next time. :)

PiP: A multi-layered puzzle game by Clickmation 2017-05-02T04:26:30Z

Got stuck at one point where the game hung at a teal screen. It was one or two puzzles after the first laser puzzle. I have no idea what happened. Very interesting idea. Smooth out the transitions and keep building the game and you've got something I'd probably buy.

Its a small world by SuperMsp10 2017-05-02T04:39:51Z

This was an interesting game. I'd like to see better controls on the character. Still, great work.

Tiny Battle World by NickW 2017-05-02T01:10:24Z

Unfortunately I was stuck at the waiting for players screen for a few minutes before I gave up. The controls feel nice, and I liked the bouncing-off-of-the-edge feature, but that was all I could experience.

LD39 — Running out of Power

Escape the Morgue by Jacksendary 2017-08-02T21:31:40Z

It seems like the character always wants to take an extra step when you let off of the keyboard. In Unity, if you go to Edit -> Project Settings -> Input you can change settings on the buttons. I might recommend toying with the "gravity" option, as that has to do with how fast an axis goes back to zero when they don't receive input.

Other than that issue and the last puzzle, the game seemed pretty solid. Might want to decrease the time it takes to show the outline, and then maybe change E and F to LMB and RMB, so I didn't have to think about what my hands were doing.

Thanks for the experience!

Modular Destruction Labs by SecondDimension 2017-08-02T22:52:57Z

This was fantastic. I really have nothing negative to say. Very well done.

The Hall of the Sorcerer King by celia14 2017-08-03T00:59:52Z

I have no feedback that hasn't already been said. This was fantastic, and forced me to think outside of "what would the game want me to do." Great work.

Disaster On Nebula One by RAC-Games 2017-08-02T21:56:09Z

First thing- sound! I really like that you included a slider, but it wasn't quite tuned right. You might have thought like I did the first time I messed with it: -80 to 20 decibels? That's so weird! Let me give you a little insight. Television usually shoots for -20 decibels. This is so the volume can be easily controller and it doesn't rattle components. It's also the most comfortable. Thus, the top of the slide, 100% volume, should be -20 decibels. Now, -80 is okay, but I usually up the bottom end to -60, just so the slider feels more logical. There's usually not sounds loud enough to be audible when put through -60 decibels anyways, so the extra 20 units on the slider just make the bottom third of it feel silent and untuned. Next!

The text scrolling on the intro is awesome, but it's soooooo slowwwww. I really appreciate that you gave us the ability to skip it, but i definitely don't want to miss out on the story my first time around! It could probably be about twice as fast and still give the desired effect.

Was that meteor shaking to indicate speed? Awesome detail!

The forward focus effect on the camera is really nice, as long as I'm only going one direction. When I get in to fine-control platforming, it turns in to a literal headache.

I got like 95% of the way powered and ran out of time -- probably would have made it did I not have interruptions while playing. The controls are relatively solid. The "R to restart" on the gameover screen doesn't work. Jetpack is a little confusing. Level design is good too. I think you did a solid job despite the odd quirks. Thanks for letting me play!

Power Rhythm by sparewizard 2017-08-02T22:38:41Z

Even after reading the controls, I can't get any input to do anything except the r key to restart. Sad.

This is a really cool idea but all of my probes were destroyed before I even realized I was being attacked. I'd love to see a more polished version of this.

Claude Van Clam Presents: The Retail Zone by David Mason 2019-05-01T00:03:20Z

I picked up the wet floor sign, pushed the fishman into the spill, then went and purchased the wet floor sign. 10/10 would die again.

Shark Turf by Gus the Shark 2019-05-01T02:38:13Z

Well this was a cute experience. I have no complaints. Thank you.

Super soul wipeout by Korteh 2019-04-30T23:04:40Z

That was hella fun. Major complaints are as follows: I think you could should your own lantern in some instances but I couldn't reliably reproduce. I didn't know what the power ups did. (some text under them would help) Instances of flicker (overlapping?) textures on foliage and some floor locations.

Outside of those three issues, this was great. I actually sent this to another dev just so he could listen to the music, with the gameplay as a bonus. Thanks for the experience.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Logicatory by zgragselus 2018-04-25T03:02:30Z

Well, I found the hole in the floor.

Logicatory by zgragselus 2018-04-25T03:06:50Z

But I didn't find the second one! Good job! I have a second bug to report -- If you shoot a turret, it falls over, but it isn't necessarily dead. The first turret I found did that, and when I approached it, it murdered me before I realized what was going on.

That issue aside, great work. Take what you've made and build a full game!

TOBR - Tower Offense: Battle Royale by gentoogames 2018-04-25T03:58:13Z

Not enough players to actually play the game. Sorry. :(

Super Balls Defense Base Craft by radmars 2018-04-25T03:40:23Z

I really like this idea, but I can't get in to it because I'm too stupid to understand what each tower is. Very well done except for that one gripe, which makes me sad because I, too, want to be in the pinball zone.

Unholy Holes by Alchemic 2018-04-25T02:38:51Z

I did it! Yay!

This idea has some potential. It would be nice if the power meter was from the put location and I could see the actual distance. It took me a few tries to figure out how to actually play the game, too.

Raceman by Jose Pedro Dias 2018-04-25T00:05:32Z

This is a pretty cool idea. Adding more to it would make it a very interesting game to play. As is, it's a little rough do to the size of things.

Suggestions: - Make the enemy cars unable to bounce the pellets around. - Give the enemy cars waypoints to go to on each corner so they don't get stuck - Make the cars slightly larger so that proper handling has a use, and pellets are easier to pick up

Good job!

Iocus Navis by Ranzor 2018-04-25T00:19:00Z

Thanks for the fun! Trying to learn the mechanics of the asteroids and the ships was very interesting. My only desire with the game is that the camera followed the player on every tile. I once lost because I transition to a new screen and flew directly in to a planet, with no opportunity to strategize around it! Great job, though.

threeSpace by HS_Dave 2018-04-25T03:23:30Z

This was a relaxing treat. With enough content I could probably *ahem* space out and play it for hours. I did find a weird issue, though. Statistical anomaly, or a bug? bugforld.gif

Dirty Pink by Carpin 2018-04-25T02:57:35Z

I agree with ragtagradical. But it was pretty fun to play! Good job.

They Came For The Chips! by nina 2018-04-25T03:51:55Z
