I'm loving the art, but the levels are a little plain in comparison. The controls are tight and the gameplay is fun, all it could really use are some win/lose conditions or a scoring system. Overall, great submission. :D
I really liked this game. It reminds me quite a bit of Hotline Miami actually, but it's not the same game, it's unique in its own way. The music really added to it and I also very much loved finding the swinging axe weapon :)
I actually think this is one of my favourite games so far, and it's such a simple one. I do agree with some of the other comments in that winning/losing conditions would go that bit further.

This was fun! A little hard to play on the touchpad on my laptop, but I got it worked out. Got to 56 kills, but it was getting old at that point so I switched to hammer and died. The music is energetic but repetitive. The art is simple but charming and fun. Gameplay is smooth and worked well, and I like the extras like the corpses and shell casings and tears in the floor.
I dunno what others thinking, but me as a big fan of Nuclear Throne was shoked with how cool your game was! Keep it up!

This plays a lot like Nuclear Throne. That's good, cause I love Nuclear Throne :D. Great entry, gameplay is tight and it's great to have a random factor, so the replay value extends. The characters look really nice, but the levels not really. I guess you had to make lots of cuts due to the short time. Anyways, congrats :D

This game reminds me of "Enter the Gungeon", I love the controls, the music and the graphics. Very accomplished the game. :D Good work.
This game feels really nice. It has good music, a good range of available weapons, and a solid art style. However, the gameplay gets stagnant quickly. I made it to 120 kills without noticing an appreciable increase in difficulty. I like the idea with the different environments, but they really just felt like reskins of the same mechanics. I would like to see a version of this with a harder difficulty curve and more enemy variants. That said, this is certainly an impressive level of polish for LD.
I liked the procedural generation aspect of this but perhaps a bit more variety could be put in the gameplay and the GUI could be refined a bit. Impressive for 72 hours though!

Had a bit of difficulty switching weapons occaisionally. Think it could use more punch with the sound effects. Would be interesting to see what unique features you could add to this style of game.
Fun game, but it isn't really clear whether one can even beat the level: is there an exit or should I kill everyone or something. I think it's not "kill everyone", as enemies kept spawning right in front of me.
This also is a maze by my standards, not a room :D
Looks simple but plays amazingly smooth. Music is great. Loving the gameplay. Most of the weapons feels good to use, I feel like the hammer could use some knockback.
Overall a fun game.

I'll admit that it seems you've worked around the theme more than work with it, but it's such a solid game it doesn't matter. This would be a solid project for someone with 5 month's experience if it took them 5 months to make it.
Graphics are great, music is great, sound effects are solid sounding and have character. As djfariel said, just make it more. please :)

Very similiar to other games of the genre (Enter the Gungeon/Nuclear Throne etc.) but you managed to keep it fresh I can't pinpoint why it felt fresh but it did, huge props for that. Had one minor "bug" with the shotgun in small corridors the projectiles hit the wall and disappeared also one time I spawned with 3 monsters really close and instantly lost 2 hp as I couldn't kill em fast enough. Really nice polish for Compo Game! Keep it going! For future variety is the key more guns / enemies!

I don't have a problem with it. It's actually kind of great to have your game compared to such a fantastic game like N.T. I may add to or maybe even complete my game in the future. But I'm getting to far in the rabbit whole. Tell ya' what. If enough people enjoy the game, or it gets in the top 100, I PROMISE to make it a full project. But, the end goal I have in mind, wouldn't be enough to justify me charging money. So if it does get completed and released on steam, it will most likely be FREE.

A lot in the line of Nuclear Throne or Enter the gungeon. Smooth gameplay. I'm not sure if its an infinite game or if there's an ending objective but I had a lot of fun. My only critique would be that there is no feedback when you are getting hurt and that ended up killing me a lot. A hurting noise, a screen shake or something would help a lot :)
Really nice game! I think the enemies got harder the longer you survived but I couldn't really tell.

Hey that was a lot of fun. Really appreciate the random generation. Maybe a bit of logic to avoid respawning my player right on top of bad guys would help acclimate to the new level. Really like the various weapons and the no repeat level.

Nice little arcade shooter :) Really good variety of weapons but the variety of enemies could be increased, as well as adding maybe more enemies that spawn over time?

Great entry! Reminds me of Nuclear Throne and Super Crate Box, but it plays very nicely. The music gets old after some time, but the gameplay is really solid.

Good game! Very fun to play and execellent design, both in graphics and gameplay. Sometimes I got stuck(maybe a better word would be sticked) with the walls, probably because the collision system. I hope you get in the 300 first so you continue to develop it. Nice job and congrats.
Hey, this is pretty fun top-down shooter with solid controls, camera, and balanced gameplay. Really like the variety of weapons you've added into the game. Would have liked it if enemies didn't spawn on top of me the moment I spawned in a procedurally generated level. Also, the lack of sound effects for certain events, such as gaining more ammo, or just even opening a treasure chest, made it hard to discern whether your actions were effective or not. Overall, enjoyable entry!
Really great game! It captured the Nuclear Throne feel pretty well. My only suggestion is to make the guns have a lower depth than the bodies, as they were often hard to see or hidden completely. Good job overall!
I enjoyed how swarming the enemies were! For improvement Id say that it seemed that enemies respawned if I left the area? Not sure! you could easily make this kind of scary by adding a sort of lighting effect with surrounding area dark might be pretty cool!
Nice Nuclear Throne vibe but I guess it could use some more feedback especially regarding HP and ammo, like more info on the character maybe.
The music is too present for my taste but apart from that, a solid entry.

This game is quite impressiv, especially for a compo entry! Awesome weapon Variety and very well balanced. The Sound also fits perfectly to the game.
Some ideas for improvement: Auto pick up a Weapon and don't make enemy's spawn on you.
Nice shooter, simple game play, needed more engaging stuff, like cool power ups etc, but overall a good experience.

Yeah, I have avast too. It sucks when I have to bypass my-own game. An avast pop-up saying something like "This File is Untrustworthy" or something should pop-up when running the game, and end the LTDA task. There should be a button saying "add to white list" in that pop-up. If you click that, then re-download the file. It should work fine.

Great game!! I think the best part is the audio! For real! It fits very well. I'm amaze for what you achieve in a short period of time! Kind of reminds me to Bind of Isaac. With an upgrade on graphics and level design it could be a great game!

nicely polished game. I almost feel that you need a infinite ammo, low power base gun, it was very easy to run out of ammo. the music had a pretty nice beat as well.
My tip is to conserve ammo and use it wisely. Dont spray and pray.. unless you had something like a tommy-gun. But then again a tommy-gun doesnt exist in this game.
The audio is a bit hard on the ears, especially having to listen to it over and over when replaying the stages. I like the character art and the random generation of stages. For the first few playthroughs, I wasn't getting any ammunition whatsoever. And once you run out of ammo, it seems you are basically screwed. Still, a variety of enemies would take this so much further. Maybe even boss battles? :P

I'm really impressed with the amount that you were able to complete in just a few days. Seeing the amount of weapon types and character animations was pretty impressive. It would be interested seeing this adapted into a larger game.
Loved the juiciness. I liked the details like the corpses sliding around if they encounter an explosion. Nice commitment to style. The audio and animations were spot on. great job!
Pretty fun game, similar to Nuclear Throne and other variants. Not a strong representation of the theme. Picking up weapons with [E] and switching through your weapons with [E] as well was a little confusing. Some weapons were sometimes difficult to see on the background.
Graphics are simple but quite good, though there's a good but to improve in regard to the colour scheme. Music was full of energy and suits the game - didn't like the 8buit explosion being in there, though, as I mistook it for a sound effect. It feels like there are sound effects missing, for example on enemy damaged, enemy death, opening chest, opening chest with a gun popping out, etc.
Overall an enjoyable game!

The graphics style, together with the soundtrack, fit very well together and the overall result is a great game. Some polish here and there might help the game become even more fun, but it's already a pretty nice entry! :D
