It would be nice to have some indication which cavemen was sent where i catch myself wanting to change decision but didnt know who was sent where. Also you need to fix that info findow it covers whole game screen and i dint know if im sending people to hunt wolves on rocks. Other than that very good concept keep working on it it will be great game.

This looks really great but huge problem it doesnt explain anything why is it restarting what should i do, what can i do? I see some traps opening some numbers counting down but what does that all mean.

Maybe it should start from a smaller level with less rooms so that players could try notice whats going on at current scale its throws players away.

Nice music, and really nice game play you need to add info how to shoot different weapons inside the game because not everyone will read description of it on ludumdare page. This game seam a little bit to easy. Also i would suggest aout progress to next level instead of requiring players to go back through menu that is a little bit annoying.

Great graphics but you need to work on optimization this game crashed my computer 2 times i would say it probably because number of lights that particle effects add to scene it is usually not an good idea to throw light with every projectile. Also controls why o why did you choose ctrl as shot trigger and not mouse when it must be used to target towers... Model and animations are best i have seen in ludum dare did you make them during ludum dare or did you had some ready assets? I dont want to risk 3rd PC crash so in end i killed all but last tower.

@g12345 one of my problems in making of all that levels was knowing their difficulty when i firs created them they were in totally different order they are now in thise order only by my feeling but i should probably give them to some play testers and see what level of difficulty they are to others that didnt design it unfortunately i didn have play testers :P

@Alphish interesting idea i will think of adding undo mechanic earlier i thought game is short so payers would finish it to quick and i have also added leadoards to kongregate version where you score based of how few moves you make

Problem with your game is UI you need to work on readability. Also selecting units works strange i dont know what am in controlling and after giveing one order im lost what to do its probably somwhere in those text boxes but its hard to read.
Check this https://bitbucket.org/ddreaper/unity-ui-extensions I used this to learn how to make better UI components in unity for my games. There is a ScrollSnap component in there that i have contributed that maybe useful for your list of messages.

Nice graphics and sounds. But this game totally lacks game play. For game being game not visualization you need some rules for example lose condition. Then you need some control over it i had problem to notice that there is something that i can control even after i have noticed that did not make any difference. When you add some game play you will have to make some balancing because everything is flying from every side and you can now only spin and hope to hit something (there should be some space for decision making).

This looks really nice but camera scope is horrible wrong you cant see whats on road and sometime you dont even see your machine. Music is great for this kind of game play but you really need to do something with that camera. Second thing do not expect people to read game description. Game mechanics would be best described by game play so you could make some shorter level to introduce each obstacle and let player learn how to deal with them. So fix camera and make better introduction for game mechanic and you will have great game.

First i dint noticed at first glance that what im seeing is menu for levels i have discovered it 3 restes later when i by accident clicked other icon.

After finishing level you get that success face and underneath fail face.

On second level i used components that i chosen on that level i turned on first. Also i dont see any way to chenge that component at that level. Probably build component should be reset on level entry.

Mute music isnt remembered between level.

This is really nice concept for a game but need better implementation and some explanation. I would probably resign from need to go to that builder post to choose aqueduct it seams unnecessary.

Music is a fits design but is annoying :P

Simple game but how many clicks is many it i couldn't collect more than one resource by accident i think. I have managed only to collects resources from forest so i dont know if there is anything more to this game. Maybe i didnt noticed something but why block roads and aqueducts after one use? I have problem with this because sometimes i clicked aqueduct/ road only to realize that i forgot to use resource hex in this turn and i would like to cancel moving but moving out of transport hex makes it disabled i dont think making them disabled is necessary at all but i would give players at least ability to cancel moving before anything was moved (something like cancel in village).

I have tried to play it on keyboard i managed to move one enemy into tree so he couldn't shoot me and then i had to clik space few times to see some keys that i press to kill that one enemy.
Unfortunately those keys don't appear every time i press space sometimes that appear to imidiatley disappear i suppose they move around but i dont know what and when to press you probably should check more keyboard controls.
Saying that i couldnt go to far so i only saw begging. graphics look good but music is very repetitive i feel like those loop drum series makes that.

Robots hit rate is 100% and they always move in player direction you cant try to surprise them from behind also robot shot animation looks like it would miss. Maybe add some visual indication to firing and getting hit. This game needs some dodge mechanic. Whatever that robot said on beginning his voice made me completely ignore him :|. Really nice game good sound design and i love graphic design of intro it would be even more interesting if rest of game was in the same style.
I would suggest some hieroglyph of E around first time you need to interact with environment.
With all those deadly mechanisms this games needs some horrible scenes of death blood everywhere :D
Also first time you need to use double jump that is not obvious that you are doing double jump it seams like you are trying to catch to a ledge maybe make some earlier hole more width so player would earlier learn about double jumping.

One of best looking games with solid game play in this ludumdare great work. And now time for something else.
Control you need to enable continuous moving/ attacking while keeping mouse button down.
Music was nice but completely not for atmosphere in this game.
Encountering firs doors didnt suggest anyhow that i need to backtrack maybe if it triggered that other character appearing it would be better.
Last monster didnt attack at all.

Overall i would say best game of ludumdare sofar i have seen.

Walking animation is funny.

You can get killed by one hit if by accident there are enemies spread across screen so when you fall down you land on another and you can do it anything to prevent it. If you want throw player after hit i would suggest by smaller amount an in direction opposite to that from which came hit. Also tutorial is nice but seeing it after every death is tiresome.

Hmm i think i found a bug when you go to first wall in room with bow and tuch the first wall and try jum pressing up constantly you starting fall through floor and can fell out of levels. This gameplay feels horrible punishing there is almost no chelange but waste of time and that makes it frustrating to replay it each time from start of game.

I really love that mood really good sound design only thing i would complain about sound are steps are sometime to loud. I also liked that you added custom names for graphic setting :D. Unfortunately after 3/4 portals found something killed my PC. Other advice i could give it work on shader that would simulate what you really see in darkness because its not totally blackens. If you put some greys in darkness that would be great experience with connection to that sound design.

Interesting game but it has some intuitivism problems i couldnt do anything without reading your description. I dont know why you choose right mouse button as way to command. I would made some kind of indicator in UI who is selected and keep all controls (selection and commands under left mouse button). Second thing on my 1920x1280 screen fonts were small and i am im blind i didnt see them clearly so i missed whole story i clicked those questions not knowing what they meant. I suggest use more readable font.

Really good concept and game play. Nice models and animations but that gradients everywhere made it tiresome to play. Should workers die when handling wolves in holes? UI looks cool but those small icons look all the same are unreadable some additional tool tips or a little bigger icons would help for new comers to understand what those icons mean. On refocusing you can build something by accident it probably needs some paused state.

Over all it is really good game if it wasn't for that gradients looks would be also very good.

Nice way of telling a story if you used it to tell story of some actual ancient city that would be even more interesting. instead of counting in days i would use months or years but then that day night cycle wouldn't work. Aqueduct would need some altitude change to work it would look better if that river float from mountains. Last wave needs some victory screen. I did not see any reasons to build watch tower maybe if it suggested more survivability for your army?

Generally interesting concept for story telling but this kind lets say it shalov game play needs some stunning visuals as compensation and there wasnt enough time for such effect.

I suggest using more contrasting color for menu options.
After starting text "Jorge" has some strange line on left side. Nice idea for puzzle i like that narrative but physique behaves inconsistent so many time i felt like something happened by accident rather than by choice. Maybe real time physique is bad choice if your moves are constrained by turns. Also some times gold kept moving in opposite direction than anticipated (mostly right). Fix that physique and it will be god game.

I would suggest selecting sell tab as first what you see becouse i have combined everything and didnt know what to do with it and then i found out that i should see what clients want from me and i did have to restart game and start from switching to that other tab.

After getting some more recipes they dont fit in screen and you start getting trouble choosing what to sell.

First thing i have noticed character doesnt turn around if you use asdw instead of arrows. Movement is really slow i almost didnt noticed that you can push that wagon. I think that slow motion is becouse you redraw whole world not only that part which is visible. Also its big empty world maybe insted of such large map you could concentrate on smaller but more interesting levels that you reload when you get to border of screen that should make easier to speed up game.

Solid game very good pixel art easy to learn and control almost flawless. This story was also very funny and music wasnt distracting and worked well with game speed.
One thing i could suggest counter for enemies left because i lost some time for reloading where there were no more enemies left. I felt it was a little bit boring on beginning because it was to easy the difficulty felt satisfying after second boss.

I would vote this game for best game play of this ludumdare.

Unfortunately i dont have 2 controllers to test it with someone other was it so hard to add keyboard controls?
As i didnt play against anyone else i not sure but controller feels a little bit to sensitive. Also there are some platform configurations that make it impossible to ascend maybe there is there double jump that i didnt discovered?

In the end its solid game with jaw dropping graphics.

But, camera controls are horrible unplayable in web version in desktop version it is a little better but you lose the ability to reset level. Also you probably should add some auto reset when you fall down.
Im still wondering if it were only those tree platforms or i just dint noticed anything on the third one.

There are some bugs first time i have jumped i fall through floor. Walking into restart starts new music loop without turning of old one. Entering few times into about doors makes elevator disappear also makes you move faster but im not sure if that is bug. As far i like fountain of blood it takes to much time to restart after hit.

Simple game everything works. I would advice you to make level background more contrasting to actual level. Also levels feel empty only 2 thing were interesting last jump when clouds where your obstacle and in freezing area jumping up on small platforms. I would suggest more interesting levels like alternative paths to some buttons that will open main path or labyrinth in that you can lose your path. If art isnt your knack try game play and game mechanics.

First any text you display probably should have at least semitransparent contrasting background i noticed something writing but it was on such background that it was unreadable.

Second that jumping sound it was thinking it was coins dropped but then noticed there is little propeller on hist head that sound should either be changed or removed.

Sometimes text you write is to long ang goes out of right screen border.

That teleporter thing i only by accident discovered that i can do that you probably need to display info that you can click something to activate ability constantly somewhere in UI.

Rage quit by accidently clicking level reset after passing alternating staircase level the second obstacle should be after save point i dont want repeat that tricky jumps.

The story is the best part nice that sacrifice plays some game mechanic role making game more difficult with each sacrifice. Bad parts fighting mechanic feels stiff on the first level I didn't even notice there are some land obstacles that take my life. Few words about graphics "inconsistent pixel size are annoying me" end quote. That graphic could be bearable if it was consistent.

Those controls are confusing especially those last 3 I would suggest showing them all the time somewhere on the screen. I like the atmosphere you have created sound drones and color palette and world design fit each other. That being said I'm lost on the first obstacle no clue wtf I should do none of those buttons does anything... (i have playied itch.io version)

Didn't see any reasons to sacrifice anything got bored after reaching lvl 10. Needs save system for a longer playthrough. Also needs some more variation. When you kill everything with 1 hit and have enough potions lying around there is nothing that can stop you if you know the way to approach enemies without being hit. Addictive game hope you will develop it further there is some potential but that sacrifice part wasn't really speaking through gameplay I took it few times and after that always rejecting and from my point of view there weren't any consequences.

Forgot to add that soundtrack hook me up instantly great work.

A proper game it's not easy to find correct solution and its fun to try. Great graphics and humor. The weakest point is probably soundtrack but that doesn't mean its bad it works with the mood but could be a little bit more variant. Nothing to complain about good execution.

Its funny it has some gameplay but that annoying music at least give us mute button before we sacrifice you to the heavy one. Also, that pentagram is a bit of incorrect shape. In general, the graphic isn't too bad there are some collision issues buts it's playable. @sethr those aren't satanic rituals they are just santanic rituals :P

Misleading HTML5 link you still need to download its not web version. Fonts are a little bit unreadable. Inconsistent pixel size is a usual offender don't mix them that usually why games looks worse than it should.

The atmosphere and sound design are really cool. I really like that dark humor. But that being said the part about this experience that is missing is gameplay that doesn't exist. I would call it more like an interactive experience than a game. Maybe if there was a part where you needed to do something more than just select creature you would feel more that killing those creatures is an actually sacrifice. Like you need to befriend them by doing some mini game or something :)
