Pretty good concept I really like the art style. The background is great and the upgrades are interesting. But it needs a lot of polish after a few waves it crashed on me and I had to start over :( Also a download would be nice !

Nice. Can't kill big guy with laser.
P.S. I stuck at level clear screen and try to press enter to continue. :)
Gorgeous graphics. I got stuck after the first wave which sucks - the game really had me hooked! Excellent work!

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Simple and the concept is pretty cool. The art is also good. Nice work. I would like to see it polished and extended. :D

Nice game! :) Your use of colors and background looks great!
The gaemeplay is simple and fun, I love the art and the music. The upgrades make you really want to collect those materials. Would have liked a little more difficulty, but overall great work!

First off, this looks and sounds great. Props for that. Sadly, the gameplay is uninspired and not very challenging.
Here's the deal:
- All the action happens on a single line. It is trivial to repel the enemies because there are only two directions of attack.
- The starter weapon takes a little bit of timing to use efficiently, but the later weapons are simply overpowered and take away any sense of danger.
- The Engrish would be genuinely funny if it didn't make the alchemy instructions needlessly complicated. In the end all you have to do is to spam the buttons, it really doesn't need that much exposition.
Still, competently put together despite the design issues.

Great style, lovely music! I liked the interchanges you had with the robot-AI-partner-thingy, even if the technology crafting itself was somewhat superfluous. Since you really can't control what resources you get, you can't make meaningful choices towards any specific outcome (I tried to go for archery as soon as possible, but, well, you need to get previous upgrades anyway).

Really nice simple game one thing i can advice is dont make player switching back and forward between mouse keyboard choose either make everything controllable by keyboard or by both

Loved the game! The graphics style, the music, the sound effects, etc... The game mechanics are simple, but effective. I think the collision with the giant could be improved, sometimes is difficult to hit him.
Congratulations and good work!

Very cool one! love the backgroung gfx, the music, and the lab progression!
Art and music are excellent. Was a little confused by the upgrade system at first and didn't realize there was a specific order the weapons would be created in. The game became way too easy once you started upgrading and one more enemy type introduced in later levels would have helped give the game more of a sense of progression.
Tku guys for your feedback!
Very nice mood, the progression tree mechanism is quite advanced for a 48h game !
@Jacqueslelezard thanks for playing, I was 2 sleepless nights. It has many bugs and q use software does not use programming, just logic. Accelerated work! I recommend construct 2.

I absolutely love the 80s aesthetics in this game. I am a fan of 80s aesthetics in general, see my site at www.kdrnic.xyz which is heavily influenced for example. And you explored them rather skillfully. The music is great!
P.S.: BR BR HU3 HU3 HU3 o/
tku @drnick for playing! your site is great.
good graphics and music. I'm not exactly a fan of the 80s, but you guys pulled it off.
good sound effects, they add to the immersion
the art is really good, esp the font and landscape
the upgrade system looks cool, but it is not very intuitive at first. It kind of makes you think that you can choose which weapon to use, but you can't.
the in combat UI is pretty intuitive, showing how much health / resources you have, etc..
I really agree with what @HuvaaKoodia says.
The combat gets kind of old after a but, just turns into spamming. I agree with what some of the people said above, to have some sort of different enemies that force you to kind of change your playstyle. Otherwise the progression in this game goes from spamming weak attacks to spamming more efficient attacks.
it would be nice to hear an impact noise or see a particle effect when I am punching the robot, so it doesn't feel like nothing was happening. Either that or he has a wonky hitbox (even if i am hitting from the back)
Also, pause button in combat mode.

Hello very cool game if you add more enemies and diffrent background or levels game will be awesome. I found one bug very oftened when you hit enemie, enemie does not destroy and u lose health.
Yes @gassasin, this is my idea ... in the future
Awesome entry! Awesome pixel art! Awesome music! Very fun to play!
Had a lot of fun upgrading and reading the dialogs.
In the future, the way a see the upgrade system having meaning would be to each choice have ups and downs.
Like Rock Paper Scissors...
Thanks for playing my game!
This is so cool! The retro style was awesome and very polished game in general. Great job!

Awesome game, the graphics and music were top notch, the gameplay while simple was spot on.
Only 2 very minimal problems to me : the big laser bot's hitbox seems a little odd, at first when i encountered one with no weapon yet, i thought i couldn't hit it, and the interface on the alchemy part wasn't that clear to understand at first.
But these issues are pretty minimal compared to the overall polish and feel of the game (can never go wrong with 80's neon aestetics ^^)
Pretty impressive especially for a compo entry, well done :)
Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous graphics! The aesthetic was simply amazing! I did have trouble with finding waaaaaay more energy than I needed, and not hitting the big robots with punches, but the quality of the graphics was more than enough to carry this on its own!
I'm down with the beat 'em up trading blows mechanic, but the action is a little too monotonous for me, though using the bow is more fun for some reason even though it removes the challenge
@ohsqueezy, tks for feedback. I work it out about action mechanic at this moment!

Great game! The graphical polish and the 80's aesthetics really shine through your game! :)
And, of course, amazing song!
However, I must agree with everyone else who said that the game is too simple and repetitive. Perhaps two "simple" modifications would already greatly enhance it:
- Add jump or roll (so the player may avoid enemies)
- Make enemies come back when they reach the edge of the world (instead of simply destroying them)
The player would still get overpowered by the end of the game, however there would already be some variations to the gameplay. :)
After that, I believe that adding more enemies with specifics attacks/vulnerabilities would be the way to go.

Nice, but too easy.
Fun game! I like the tech tree and the world. Great music, too. I didn't like that I couldn't jump and attack the laser shooting guys at the beginning of the game
Great game! I love new retro stuff and happy to see someone making a game like this :D.
Love the music, the graphics are quite good too, and the gameplay is simple but fun. If you add some more levels, types of enemies, a bit of choice in weapon progression maybe, you should have a really nice game! Good luck!

Nice looking game. I like Spectrum-like visuals.
I've managed to research the whole alchemy tech tree. The game gets a little bit repetitive near the end, but the overall experience is quite positive.

Funny how I was sending feedbacks tho who gave our game feedback, and then I saw that I played this game today when looking at the front page.
Finished it, it's real good. Easy to kill everything with the bow, and the giant is king of bugged with the normal weapon. I think the game has great potential.

Amazing game! :D
The only thing that bothered me was the attack using OnButtonUP.
I love the art color and the particle effects :)
[...] and of course, the sound was fantastic!!
