LD28 — You Only Get One

Data Stains by Evilion 2014-01-07T00:14:00

Wow I love this, a bit vague but I think it's perfect that way. If people don't like it then whatever, it's really interesting and the concept behind it is even more so!

Not entirely sure where the theme fits in, I'm assuming something to do with only having one mind / life or something

Beautiful graphics and sound! Seems like a good tool to just unwind and space out to.

Da' Face by Snail_Man 2013-12-17T00:47:00

Wow this is nothing short of fantastic, seriously. Beautiful art, love the sprite "trail" effect. It gave the impression of a canvas being filled. The music was awesome, glad to see other developers comfortable with doing weird stuff ;)!

Dreams of war by netmute 2013-12-16T23:58:00

Cool game, nice atmosphere!

Blue Harpoon by FrederickK 2014-01-06T04:49:00

Fun game, the graphics were nice and the music was engaging and really helped set the mood! Good use of the theme and I ended up playing it for a while, I'd love to see this fleshed out more, it's got a lot of potential!

I fancy going down to the park to attract ducks with my wholemeal bread trousers by garygreen 2013-12-16T22:22:00

This was awesome, the right kind of silly ;). The music and sound effects definitely helped the gameplay experience as well!

Choices by madameberry 2013-12-16T22:47:00

I liked it, definitely some potential if it was fleshed out a bit more. That being said the short length does make it easier to play it over a few times to get the different endings!

Doubloon Dash by George 2014-01-07T01:53:00

Woohoo! Watching the buildings collapse was fun! Some sound would've helped a lot, and the game did get a bit laggy when things started crumbling. Other than that, good start to a game, this has a lot of potential!

U&1X by djtjj 2013-12-16T23:45:00

Even though it's incomplete this is really cool! It seems like the basic mechanics are there so once a few levels are in this could be a pretty awesome puzzle game. Love the ASCII graphics!

CUOP DO SACI by leparlon 2013-12-18T07:17:00

This is awesome, really fun and challenging! The hand-done art really adds a lot to the charm as well. Great take on the theme :D!

Doubt by rxi 2014-01-06T18:42:00

Great atmosphere, really enjoyed the art and music / sound! The deja vu part was a bit confusing, ended up getting lucky and spamming "c" until I went through the invisible door. The audio cues on the 4 doors part was pretty brilliant, but I think I only got it because I'm a composer :P. Reading the other comments I think it may have been confusing for others. Overall it's pretty awesome, especially for 48 hours!

8bit Rebellion by havana24 2014-01-06T05:21:00

Very clever! Funny and original, good use of the theme!

Rube by euske 2013-12-16T22:38:00

Fun game! The difficulty ramped up a bit fast for me but I got the hang of it eventually. The ending was nice (I'm a fan of musical platforms).

Only One by GameRespect 2014-01-07T01:57:00

Fun game, getting hurt didn't seem to affect my health too much, so I basically did a lot of running around and swinging. It was enjoyable though! I liked the music as well!

You only have one vote by thedeadlybutter 2013-12-18T20:36:00

I liked this, it was fun going through all of the candidates and deciding on a vote. Neat idea that could definitely be expanded on!

My Champion by jacklehamster 2013-12-16T09:35:00

This was awesome, I spent so much time trying to score unsuccessfully before realizing the solution. Short but I like where it's going!

parallelsync by 0x0961h 2014-01-06T05:07:00

Liked the use of the theme, the graphics and music were nice and added a lot to the experience. Not the most challenging, and a couple minor issues occurred while playing.

One when a character walked into a block right as it appeared and they permanently walked underneath the floor about one tile down (it actually didn't affect the gameplay, just visually weird).

Also not sure if intended or not, but when a character hits the finish, they can't backtrack, this was frustrating when I realized I needed to activate a switch after I already moved one character to the end and I needed to restart from the very beginning.

Overall it's a cool game and I enjoyed the procedurally generated levels! I'd be interested in seeing this game expanded into something larger!

Cat Gentlemans Play: Insult Spinner 10 Cents by RobotLovesKitty 2013-12-17T02:09:00

This was hilarious, loved it! I like that this is a two-player game that can still be played by a single person.

There's Only One St. Nick by Static 64 2013-12-18T20:49:00

This was fun, I liked the time management aspects of it. Funny take on the theme as well, love the title! I enjoyed it all the way through, didn't feel too repetitive or boring to me, awesome job!

YOLO, Obviously by carlsommer 2014-01-07T01:49:00

Cool, although I don't understand why death always results in bible quotes, it would've made more sense to have different endings depending on your character's world views that they developed throughout the experience.

Starbeard: The Curse of the Space Whales by Those 30 Ninjas 2013-12-18T20:40:00

This was really fun, loved the "one retrievable bullet" mechanic! Music was nice and the sound effects helped round it out nicely.

The Golden Bomb by cy4n 2014-01-06T20:51:00

Cool game, though I wasn't able to fire in all directions at once. I could fire in 2-3 directions, but sometimes that would result in weird movement glitches where I couldn't move in certain directions.

If it was intended for the player to shoot in all directions at once then it would've been nice to have a single button that does that, or even just have the player auto shoot.

If the game was a bit easier I'd have the patience to try and beat it. Other than that it was fun, nothing super original but I enjoyed it regardless!

A King and his Choices by Roks87 2013-12-16T21:42:00

I really enjoyed it, the different outcomes were entertaining and I liked the music even after it had been looping several times. Simple but effective!

RGB - So sweet your television will break by RevelBase 2014-01-06T05:51:00

Great use of the theme, loved the color switching. The graphics were really good (especially given the time frame)! The controls and movement felt a bit clunky, but the game was so darn pretty and appealing that I didn't really mind. This has a lot of potential and looks like it could be a commercial game with a bit of polish!

Queen's Agent by Oxeren 2013-12-16T21:21:00

Fun game, I really enjoyed it! Though I was confused about the pilot. Intel says he's not a citizen, but he says something that neither a conspirator or villain would say according to the rules. Not sure if intentional or not, but it actually kinda adds another level of complexity to the story!

Give Me A Hand by Sink 2013-12-16T23:41:00

Awesome game, fun to play, charming art style (love the palette), cool music!

Agent One by DanielSnd 2013-12-17T02:59:00

Fun and entertaining game! I realized in the second half of the game that I would just run through an entire level, which was fun in its own way ;). Very polished looking game!

You Only Get One Shot: Eminem Rapping Simulator by Afal 2013-12-17T02:21:00

Loved this, a funny and clever take on a rhythm / musical game!

You Are The One by mystakin 2013-12-16T10:21:00

I had fun playing it, and using the mouse was pretty cool. I'm really into the art / color palette as well. Great use of the theme!

Wilhelm's Escape by glovecat 2013-12-17T02:46:00

This was fun to play! I'm assuming there are no endings that involve him not dying (unless I just couldn't figure it out)?

Magnificent Evil Trap #28 by LuisGuimaraes 2013-12-16T09:37:00

Really liked the gameplay, using the mouse made it feel a lot more fun and engaging!

A Rose in the Rain by Brian Mayberry 2014-01-07T01:00:00

I liked it! Short and to the point, it seemed to really do well in capturing a brief moment in time. It allows a lot of questions to be asked about the character and what led up to the moment the game takes place in.

Probably one of the first times I've seen rain being used as a core mechanic (especially cool after reading about how it came to be in your post-mortem).

Good atmosphere and the length seemed perfect for what it was trying to accomplish!

You only get the mechanics by Alismuffin 2013-12-16T09:50:00

Yes! That ending was great. Getting the controls down was fun, I'd like to see more ;) !

The Witch's Weak Point by Agram 2013-12-17T00:06:00

This was fun! The player / ball switching mechanic was interesting. I really liked the art and music as well!

Wall of Fingers by LTPATS 2013-12-16T23:29:00

Thanks for all the awesome feedback so far! Sorry about the random lag / weird glitches that seem to be popping up :/. I was hoping lag wouldn't be an issue since it ran around 60fps on my several-year-old compy, but I've been getting comments on lag for a few of my games after I've published them (would the browser effect that at all?). I'm hoping that my performance optimization abilities will get better over time!

You Only Get 1! by Danman9914 2013-12-16T21:31:00

This was really fun, I liked the randomized rounds and it was fun trying different objects for different objectives and learning what works best for what. The art style and color palette was very fun and I think it fit with the idea of the game really well!

Cherry Candy Raep Gaiden by plaguespark 2014-01-07T00:28:00

Interesting game, the 3d effect was rather entertaining.

I enjoyed the silliness of it, though I'm not sure if the rape options were put in simply to be funny or to provide the user with additional options / freedom. After a while my options decreased and I had no choice but to rape a potential dating candidate, so I'm assuming the former which bothers me slightly. However I cannot accurately assume the intent of the game on the options it provides so I will try to keep a neutral opinion.

Other than that I appreciate the weirdness and experimental nature of the game. Candy loves me!

CHOOSE W1SELY by ViKing Games 2013-12-16T22:10:00

Digging the MIDI stuff, the game was tough but the concept was really cool!

BL1ND by Shaun LeBron 2014-01-07T00:46:00

Wow this is awesome, first time I've seen 1D depicted in any way in a game! There's definitely a lot of potential here. The game's short, but it does a great job at introducing the mechanic.

Like others have said, sound would be nice, but honestly I didn't feel like too much was missing without it (it held up well on its own).

Would love to see more! Very innovative!

Choose Wisely by zconnelly13 2013-12-16T20:55:00

I liked playing this :D clever use of the theme, and I think it's good that you let the players restart to collect more stuff!

You Only Get Juan by doitle 2013-12-16T21:04:00

Even though it's not complete I still really enjoyed it. The use of the theme is fantastic and the abruptness of the ending is actually kinda charming in a way, the music really helps.

Junktion by Kohijin 2014-01-06T20:24:00

I liked the use of the theme! The graphics and audio really helped with the atmosphere.

My biggest gripe was the audio feedback for the radiation. It didn't feel very intuitive, at some points I would hear a very obvious "you're gonna die" sound" and walk right through it with no problem, and at other points I would barely hear anything, take a step, and then I was dead. If the feedback / audio cues were a bit more consistent and had a more prominent "fade in/out" effect I think it could really help the overall gameplay experience.

Aside from that it was great and I enjoyed playing it, I made it to the end (that last room was a pain)! Would love to see this developed a bit further!

Otzi's Last Journey by Rex Peppers 2013-12-16T21:45:00

Difficult but I still enjoyed it! The music was a soothing contrast to what was happening.

Minute Maze by WiggleWorm513 2013-12-17T02:30:00

This was fun, though the camera seemed a bit mean since it would only move when the player was at the edge of the screen. In a way it helps force the player to memorize the path if they don't make it the first time, but I don't know if that was the intention. It would be awesome to see more levels in a future installment!

Fountain by Terry 2014-01-06T18:50:00

Wow, great use of the theme. The audio and visual cues add a really nice touch! Reminds me of a slowing heartbeat, which may have been the intention? Overall a really good game, it accomplishes a lot with very little.

superfrozenkittengetsonlyonesecretbottleforyou by evilindiegames 2014-01-06T05:40:00

Awesome game, loved the visuals! The music was enjoyable even after it looped dozens of times. I'm assuming there's no end because I got to 10k and the gameplay didn't seem to change. I wouldn't mind a gradual difficulty ramp after a certain point. Also mad props for incorporating 1GAM's themes as well ;). Great job!

Objectless by lucars83 2013-12-30T22:40:00

This has a lot of potential, I like the idea of having one item per room to find, and the traveling between rooms was interesting. I'm not sure if the yellow box was the end or not (I was pressing space and nothing was happening). Also the controls were pretty slippery and it felt weird pressing forward and having the character move sideways. Other than than it was a cool concept and I would definitely enjoy seeing something like this fleshed out a bit more!

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Hiya Haystack by commanderstitch 2014-05-15T23:09:00

Pretty neat game, but I got a lot of weird bugs playing it. Often my player would get stuck on a wall and couldn't move and I had to restart.

After getting what I assumed was going to be the good ending (guy in the chair spawned) my sprite changed into a human briefly and then back into the haystack, and I couldn't move so the farmers ended up killing me and I had to restart. After restarting I turned into the human every time I moved and back into the stack every time I stopped. Once I went into the next screen I turned into the haystack and couldn't move again. Restarting again fixed this but every time I was about to get the good ending it happened again :/.

Other than that it was a fun game, a bit confusing at first without in-game instructions (took me a while to realize my size / meter determined my attack), but I got the hang of it eventually!

Organ Run by kunzbe 2014-05-15T23:22:00

Played through the whole game, I enjoyed it! The organ theme was cool, and the music seemed very fitting. It took me a bit to get the hang of the rocket jumping but it was really fun once I got the hang of it. The gravity switching was pretty neat too!

Sea of Deception by LTPATS 2014-05-15T22:13:00

Thanks for all the feedback! From what I've seen the UI getting cut off seems to be something that happens with Fullscreen on certain browsers or operating systems. The Newgrounds link should hopefully be better since it doesn't scale the game.

The game ends right past the divers and after the last island jump. There's a little tunnel on right that takes you to the title screen and that's basically the end of the game. I would have liked to do a fun endgame sequence but unfortunately I didn't have the time :/.

Sea of Deception by LTPATS 2014-05-20T03:54:00

Thanks again for all the feedback everyone :). Just to clarify Lonely Troll Productions and A Thorny Succulent are both me. Here is my site for extra reassurance: http://ltpats.wordpress.com/

Poopy Kitty Defense by burquitlambadgers 2014-05-15T22:24:00

This was pretty tough and enjoyable for me (those turtles could get pretty nuts eventually)! I also really liked how the music seemed to slow down and lower in pitch whenever the player loses, it's a nice touch!

Scary Ugly Face by Jonochrome 2014-05-15T22:41:00

Wow, this was great! I really liked the storytelling, funny and a good message as well. Like others stated the gameplay wasn't super interactive but I didn't mind it, I wanted to play just so I could see what happens next!

On a side note, did the face do a quick upside-down flip at the last second of the game!? I'm tempted to play the entire game again just to see if I'm not crazy.

Square Runner by thorrism 2014-05-15T23:46:00

Fun and simple gameplay, got challenging pretty quickly! Sometimes pressing a key wouldn't make the character move, not sure if that was my computer or the game. I also agree with the restart button comment, since the mouse isn't really used for anything else. I don't really see how the game fits with the theme without reading into it too much, but it was fun regardless!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Planet Kung-Fu by TheGamingProject 2014-08-26T02:22:00

Cool game! I really like the random abilities. It gets pretty hard after a few switches for me, but maybe I just need to get the hang of the controls. Great job!

Nexxuz by rustybroomhandle 2014-08-26T02:41:00

Great looking game! It took a bit to get used to the isometric view, especially with all the bullets flying around. The loading between levels seemed a bit buggy. Some times I had trouble getting into the portals, and at one point (after the kraken) my character just disappeared after I went into the portal, so I couldn't finish the game (unless that was the end?) Overall the game felt like it was pretty close to being done, the graphics were beautifully rendered and the basic gameplay was well implemented. I'd love to see this expanded on! Great job!

Exin by Mechanical Birdie 2014-08-26T02:15:00

This game looks awesome, but unfortunately I can't seem to play it. After the instructions I just get a static screen and nothing else :(.

Hypnagogia by Cake&Code 2014-08-26T01:50:00

Great take on the theme! After beating the first boss and waking up for the first time, after I went back into the dream state I couldn't do anything. If I pressed the arrow keys it would show the description of each option, but I couldn't see the options on the right anymore, and I couldn't figure out how to select the options.

Aside from that, it's a very solid concept with good execution. I'd love to see this fleshed out more! Great job!

Oculus Souls by OrangeeZ 2014-08-26T05:14:00

Fun game, the art style was really cool, reminded me of Tearaway a bit. I didn't really enjoy stopping every time I slashed. The combat in general felt a bit clunky to me. Also I could essentially just walk out to the outskirts of the game world when I was in the portal area. All that aside it was a fun experience! Loved the environment and overall feel of the game. The random facial features was a huge plus for me too! I could see this being a neat action / adventure kind of game if it's just fleshed out a bit more. Great work!

Arrow Rain by Maxium 2014-08-26T00:40:00

Pretty short, though I enjoyed the boss fights. The theme seemed a bit forced to me, especially since it was all text-based. I think having some visual feedback to the text would be nice. For instance, if the universe will glow red with fire, why not have some fire all around the map in the end? I think a little bit of additional visual feedback to compliment the text could go a long way.

Overall I enjoyed it, would love to see something like this more fleshed out with more bosses, consequences, etc.

Monster+Connect! by saguaro 2014-08-27T02:06:00

This was cool, I enjoyed it! I wasn't a huge fan of the time limit at first, but I understand that it goes along with the story. I liked being able to control each person and meet them up, this could definitely be expanded on to make something a bit more complex if you kept working on this. Overall, great job!

Convergence by Pheonise 2014-08-28T07:33:00

I liked the overall atmosphere and the overall look of the game was really cool. Subtitles would've helped for me, I didn't catch some of the things that were said. The black particle effect angle demon thing freak me out in a good way. Great work, I'd enjoy playing this more if it was ever expanded on!

A : Attack from Red Planet by savethejets1 2014-08-29T02:26:00

Neat idea and the music was cool. Clicking on the coins after clicking on the minerals seemed a bit like overkill, and made the gameplay feel a bit sluggish to me. Overall I really liked the concept!

Tropical Transit by Moist 2014-08-27T01:18:00

Very fun and addictive! This definitely works as an arcade game but I wouldn't mind seeing stuff like specific goals to reach and different levels if this was ever expanded on. Really like the concept and overall gameplay, great job!

Blue Screen by varun 2014-08-29T03:05:00

Sweet game, I really liked the overall style and atmosphere a lot. The sound effects for traveling between areas were a lot louder than the music, which was too bad because I really liked the music! In some areas it felt a bit confusing and difficult to navigate, but in a way I felt it fit the mood of the game. I'd definitely like to see more from this if it was ever expanded on! Great job!

byepolar by bentog 2014-08-26T21:02:00

Loved it! Interesting mechanic, reminds me of what a lot of 2d games have done (controlling multiple characters simultaneously) but in in first-person 3d, which was a nice twist. Great integration with the theme as well!

Prismatic by Space_man 2014-08-27T01:08:00

Fun game! Unfortunately I would get consistent lag spikes every few seconds, I'm not entirely sure what was causing it. I love the concept and the gameplay was fun, great work!

Encounter console by Peping 2014-08-26T21:27:00

Really fun, though sometimes pressing enter too much could really screw up some of the minigames haha. Because I couldn't see the grid I would have to just guess coordinates to fail and restart the minigame. Overall I really enjoyed this and think it would be cool to see more minigames, etc. Great job!

A Brief Excursion by MalphasWats 2014-08-26T20:42:00

I actually found this pretty fun even though the gameplay was relatively simple. It would have been nice to see more enemy variety or other similar things, but I still enjoyed this and thought generated levels worked really well!

Attack of the Intergalactic Space Heads by TheColorMan 2014-08-29T02:01:00

Interesting concept, I can imagine it taking a while to really get good at this! Cool take on the theme!

To The Stars by Andre Blyth 2014-08-26T01:38:00

This was neat, to me I didn't get much of a sense of "connected worlds" since the communication seemed pretty one-sided. Definitely captures the feeling of loneliness very well. Having a response or reaction to the transmission may coincide with the theme more, but then the feeling of loneliness may be compromised. Good work!

Alien Boogie-Down by EvilObjective 2014-08-29T02:44:00

Cool game, I like the style! I felt like the key hits didn't sync up with the music that much so it felt weird trying to hit the notes while still paying attention to the rhythm. Overall the idea seems solid, great job!

Roy, Gee, Biv by LTPATS 2014-08-27T03:54:00

Thanks for all the great feedback! Just to clarity, yes the end is after you get to the location in the main screenshot. When the characters enter the circle together, they share their abilities with each other so each character can do the same thing the others could do.

After this, the characters can fly out or use the red jumpy air things to exit the play area into the giant particle party room that kinda looks like it has eyes.

There are some reasons I decided to end the game this way, so I'll probably go over that in the post-mortem.

Thanks again for the comments!

Symbiosis by vividhelix 2014-08-29T01:55:00

Tough but fun! Some audio would have been nice, but it still worked well without sound. I'd to see more of this!

World Traveler by puppetmaster 2014-08-27T01:57:00

I liked the atmosphere and aesthetic a lot. I was a little confused about the switches that get stepped on, but overall I didn't get too confused with the gameplay. Great work!

Connie's World: There's an APP ... for THAT!? by ShivaFang 2014-08-29T02:36:00

Cool use of the theme. The tutorial was a bit frustrating since I had to start from the beginning every time I died, and I was forced to read a lot of the text quickly because it could only be seen in the astral plane. It would be nice to see this expanded on / polished more because it's a really neat concept. Some sound and music would definitely help, too. Great work!

Shadow of a Thought by Docjekyll 2014-08-29T02:11:00

Nice music and atmosphere. The gameplay felt a little repetitive to me at times, though. Overall it's well polished, great job!

A Darker World by Maxr00 2014-08-27T01:48:00

Neat game, the character felt a bit floaty which made it hard to navigate, also it seems like I could mine or "draw" on any blocks, even ones not near me. I'd definitely like to see this fleshed out a bit more, the overall atmosphere seemed pretty cool. Great job!

Simple Realms by mramaizng 2014-08-26T21:47:00

Fun game! The load times between levels were a little sluggish at times, but it wasn't too bad. Also sometimes after switching levels my movement would get stuck, this caused me to walk into spikes and die after starting a new level even though I wasn't pressing any keys. I'm not entirely sure how it fits the theme, though I may not have played it enough to see that. Restarting the whole game on death was a bit discouraging at times as well.

That aside I really enjoyed the game. The art had a fun style to it and the overall gameplay was pretty smooth. Music and atmosphere had a new feel to it also. Great job! I'd love to see this built up and and expanded on some more!

Parallel Horizons by kebabskal 2014-08-27T01:29:00

Beautiful game! I got stumped a couple of times, and the player sliding up against walls and slowing down made it harder to make over some spots, but overall I enjoyed it a lot. Good use of the theme, this could easily be a full game with just a little bit more work, great job!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Grow My Thing by ChronoDK 2015-04-21T03:35:00

This was great. The dick physics were really good and the growth mechanic made for a very natural difficulty curve. Reached 59 inches personally, it got pretty ridiculous after around 30-40 inches. Overall I enjoyed it a lot, great work!

Bassic by C# 2015-04-20T06:46:00

Cool concept! I felt like my hits weren't registering even though it seemed like I was on the beat. When I focused more on getting the circles lined up I felt like I wasn't hitting on the beat. It was definitely tricky but fun, good work!

Pixel People by TheFudster 2015-04-20T21:57:00

This was really cool, loved the transition into iso view!

The placement field looked similar to one of the checker colors and the blinking was slow, so I didn't realize that was where I was supposed to click at first. I feel like having it be a slightly different color would help its readability more.

The last character didn't have a written cost, not sure if that was intentional or not. Also it would be kinda cool to view character stats or get some kind of description, but it didn't feel too necessary for the length of this game.

The art and music were both fantastic. The overall aesthetic felt really crisp and readable. The floating damage text seemed a little small but was still readable. Overall I thought it was great and would love to play more! Great work :).

Kiwi Jelly Boy by boddiul 2015-04-20T08:28:00

This was awesome! Love the overall aesthetic and sprite animations. The music was repetitive but catchy. In addition to that the mechanics were really interesting and unique. The shrinking effect really added a lot. Overall I thought it was great, nice job!

Hugline Miami by Figglewatts 2015-04-21T03:46:00

Cool game! I had fun playing, though because of the view it was kind tricky getting around corners and shooting through hallways. The music and art were great overall, good work!

Unconventional War by LogicielAllan 2015-04-21T05:11:00

So I managed to kill everyone but myself by randomly clicking on all the regions, but after I walked through the door into the skeleton room I couldn't go anywhere else and the bug door was locked. Seemed like an interesting concept though, I think this could do really well with a good tutorial. Good job overall!

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-20T19:30:00

Cool game, I liked the art and music a lot. When I went back to the menu after winning it kept playing the in-game music along with the menu music. Also it got pretty laggy near the end of the game. Other than that it was pretty fun. It would be cool to see different upgrades or powerups of some kind, something to spice up the gameplay. Overall it was fun, good work!

drone-a-pult by ChrisGaudino 2015-04-20T09:02:00

I really like the overall concept. My biggest trouble was getting the hang of the controls. To me they felt kinda weird, and having the camera rotation be completely independent from the player's orientation made it difficult to navigate, even paying attention to the colored markers on the drone. It was fun zipping around and picking up stuff, though. I feel like a step-by-step tutorial could really help in getting the overall idea of the game across. This was fun and I'd love to see more of this, great job!

Blackboard Wars by KedumeBits 2015-04-20T19:59:00

I really liked this, the sound effects were nice and the kids chattering in the background added a lot to the setting. I would've loved to hear some kind of "whoosh" sound when using the eraser, especially since the chalk sound was so satisfying. Sometimes it got kinda tricky navigating in the small space and the controls felt kinda slippery which made it hard dodging bullets sometimes, but I got the hang of it eventually. The lives counter was pretty clever! Overall I liked it, great work!

G.R.A.V.I by Sam Oates Games 2015-04-20T09:17:00

I like the overall aesthetic. The red and green lights might look really similar to folks with colorblindness. Like others have said the mouse control is really insensitive, also the mouse wouldn't lock on the screen for me in the web version. After flipping a bunch of times with the gun my character's z-rotation seemed to get kinda messed up and I was learning to the right pretty hard :P. I don't really see it fitting with the theme since the gun isn't really weaponized, but I enjoyed the game regardless. Overall I thought it had a lot of charm, great work!

Ramming Speed by dingotime 2015-04-20T09:37:00

Fun but pretty tricky! Since a lot of the doors close at different rates it might be nice to have some kind of anticipation so the player knows when it's opening / closing. The music and art seemed very fitting. Great work!

The Best Policy by Empyrealhell 2015-04-20T08:51:00

This is a really cool concept! There's a bug where if you spam the spacebar during a debate, you win (it also messes with the music). Regardless the game is really fun and I enjoyed playing, great job!

Mad Maddie by Boodog 2015-04-20T09:44:00

This was fun! I really liked the music and the art was nice, too. I wish dying meant restarting the current level instead of the whole game since it gets pretty tricky. Overall I though it was really fun, great job!

Overward by vulpineblazeyt 2015-04-20T06:54:00

I liked the generated messages for each deployment. The gameplay was pretty basic, but if expanded on this could be really interesting. Great work!

Pogo Dojo by Danman9914 2015-04-20T04:31:00

Loved this, very funny and fun to play! The slow-mo tricks were very entertaining :)!

HALLAWAY by benmcnelly 2015-04-20T22:08:00

This was really engaging and I liked the overall concept. Having to restart every wrong decision felt like too much personally, especially since the decision making was a bit random a lot of the time. Overall I had a lot of fun playing, great work!

Love is a Weapon by MdotEdot 2015-04-20T07:04:00

Gameplay seems interesting but I can't seem to figure it out. I liked looking at all the different little robots :).

The Great Shooting by holgk 2015-04-21T04:04:00

This was cool! Took a little while to get the hang of how to play, but once I got into the groove it was fun! The screen was too big for my monitor and the text was pretty small when zoomed out. I'm not sure if the grass and other scenery actually added anything so I never really used it much but I won anyway. Overall I really liked it, great work!

SLICK LICKER by KodingNights 2015-04-20T19:50:00

Game seems pretty cool but it's really difficult to navigate. Licking didn't seem to really do much, and I got the hang of flinging eventually but I feel like the indicator made it kinda confusing to tell which direction you were gonna go (something like an arrow would make it more obvious). I have no idea what most of the stuff on the screen was but I have a feeling I'd like playing more if there were clearer instructions and/or a tutorial. I thought the graphics and music were fun as well. Great work!

Mortpuno by Celt 2015-04-20T04:25:00

Pretty dark game, interesting concept. Not sure where the theme fit in, maybe something like your mind / decisions / judgement is the weapon?

Radiant Red by PixelMind 2015-04-20T04:54:00

It was interesting and fun, though I found myself just clicking a bunch whenever I got close to an enemy most of the time and that worked :P. On a side note an exit button would be nice, since the first time I tried to quit my mouse got stuck in the corner and I ended up having to close with task manager + arrow keys. Overall it was a cool game and I'd love to see more levels in the future!

Slaughter the to Lamb by SuperMsp10 2015-04-21T04:39:00

Pretty creepy looking art! The ladders didn't always work for me, and I was only able to blow a chicken's mind once and it was by accident. Didn't know how to do it otherwise. Other than the bugginess it seems like an interesting basis for a game, good work!

Towel Boy by zdavid112z 2015-04-20T07:20:00

Very entertaining! The music was kinda haunting and creepy, I really liked it! The disappearing / reappearing levels in the level select was a little strange, and it wasn't super clear what the specific goals per level were unless I just overlooked something. Overall the gameplay was really fun and I'd definitely play again if more content was added. Great work!

The Legend of the Yo-Yo Salesman by seankimdesign 2015-04-20T08:41:00

Really like the concept and the yo-yo mechanics feel really nice. Sometimes the game would get a bit laggy for a few seconds. I enjoyed the music and art a lot. I'd definitely play again if more content was added :). Great work!

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-20T19:17:00

Interesting concept. The gameplay was pretty simple but the narrative was nice. I ended up playing both ways just to see what happens. I was expecting something bad to happen like the tank exploding or something when I went up to it :P. Overall neat game, good work!

Frazzle Dazzle by hexdie 2015-04-21T01:39:00

This was great, I loved the color palette! The hovering mechanic was really fun and the tutorial section was very helpful. I'd definitely play again if there was more content, great work!

Wound Up by Interface 2015-04-20T03:44:00

This was fun! I'd recommend listing the controls and ability descriptions somewhere so people won't be too confused at first. Overall I really enjoyed it and would definitely play again if there were more levels!

Forest Hecate by Jordan 2015-04-20T09:31:00

This was a bit tricky at first, but I really liked this once I got the hang of it! The art has a nice charm to it, too. Something about the overall aesthetic gave me Realm of the Mad God vibes. Great work!

WORD OF POWER by iceburg7 2015-04-20T08:07:00

Kinda reminds me to Doodle God but there are no hints as to what the words should be. I like the story, though I got a bit tired or guess combinations after a while. If there was some way to narrow down the number of potential answers with hints or riddles or something I think it would be a lot more engaging. Overall I think it's a neat concept and would love to see more of it, great work!

Vocal Power by JohnGalt 2015-04-20T20:13:00

This was a really unique concept! I really liked the audio for the speech sounds. Overall I enjoyed playing this a lot and would definitely play again if more levels / features were added. Great work!

Multilool by Phask 2015-04-20T07:58:00

This is great, gameplay is simple but really fun. Honkey-Tonk piano really ties it all in together :D.

Atled by Wow 2015-04-20T07:49:00

This is a really cool concept, even though there wasn't a lot of other gameplay it was still pretty fun just to mess around. The music and art did a good job at setting the atmosphere. I'd love to see more levels added to this, great work!

NOPAEW by Anikki 2015-04-20T10:20:00

This was fun, but the long respawn times on the web player got old real fast. Not really sure what the X's are for that appear and disappear. Also I got in a situation where I was stuck on a checkpoint because I didn't have enough keys. Overall the gameplay was fun though and I think this would be really good with some polish. The art was really solid as well. Great job!

Candy Defense: Legoes by Flygamer101 2015-04-21T05:52:00

This is a funny and clever concept! The game would randomly lock up every few seconds to the point where it was basically unplayable. Which is unfortunately because what I could play seemed pretty fun! The music was nice and the voiceovers were really entertaining as well. Great work!

Ted's Quest by notrorschach 2015-04-20T08:17:00

Liked the concept, though the controls felt a little cramped to me. Using the mouse to interact with objects would probably feel a lot better (for me at least). I also felt like the left/right leaning camera was more harmful than helpful, and seemed a bit disorienting. The basic gameplay was fun and the art had a lot of charm to it. Great work!

Defence Bot Omega by stoarch 2015-04-20T06:36:00

Really cool concept, I liked feeling like a support character while the AI dealt with the more traditional gameplay. I don't see how it fits with the theme but it was a really interesting idea regardless, great work!

The N.I.D. Project by Somnium 2015-04-20T07:40:00

I really liked the gameplay, very unique! This was very fun and I would definitely play more if new levels were added :).

Megane Fever by Park 2015-04-20T06:59:00

I really enjoyed this, the art and setting have a lot of charm! Even without having player health / damage it was fun and relaxing in a table-flipping schoolboy-swatting kind of way :P. I'd definitely play this more if extra levels or content were to be added, great work!

Bit Bashing by rukai 2015-04-20T05:56:00

Cool concept. It mostly came down to me spamming the turn key to get them to swerve the right way but I had fun playing it. Good job!

Herbicide by mcmahoniel 2015-04-20T05:32:00

The setting and art had a nice charm to it. I liked the overall gameplay, though there were huge lulls in time where nothing would happen. Regardless I kept playing till the end! I'd love to see new levels and maybe have the abilities do different things. Congrats on finishing your first Ludum Dare!

MagDef by jhell 2015-04-21T04:33:00

This was fun! Earth+ was too challenging for me, but the rest of the game wasn't too hard. Overall I liked it, good job!

Space Cowboy by JK5000 2015-04-20T06:07:00

I loved the setting and all the voices! I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do, once I shot a couple people I got a game over screen and I couldn't restart. The game has a lot of charm though and if it was more fleshed out I think it could be really fun!

Rainbow Tank by ManicMiner 2015-04-21T03:27:00

Fun game, the sounds effects were really satisfying and the music was catching. Got a little boring after a bit, but could definitely have a lot more potential with some more enemies or abilities. Great work!

Quality Television by crazya 2015-04-20T10:08:00

Wow this is fantastic. The TV mechanic is really cool, and the art style is very clean and well done. The music is also great and super catchy. The additional instruments playing when the TV is placed is a nice touch. Unfortunately I got stuck on level 4 but I'll probably try again later since I really liked this :). I would definitely love to see more of this game in the future. Great work!

Skyku by kabutakogames 2015-04-20T06:32:00

This was really cool, I ended up playing for a lot longer than I originally expected. The upgrades didn't seem to do anything unless I'm missing something, and the planets were kinda easy to pass up but that wasn't a huge deal. I'd love to see more of this, it was really easy to get into but also very addictive, great work!

FocalPoint by Killnetic 2015-04-20T09:54:00

Really cool concept, there's not a lot of content but I like what's there :). It would be interesting to see this expanded on a bit more. Great work!

Lamb Cannon by daredevildave 2015-04-20T04:40:00

Finding the right spot to land the sheep was tricky and unpredictable for me. Sometimes they would land on the platforms but just fall off, sometimes they would hit the corner of the platform and just "pop" onto the platform, and sometimes if I hit the score numbers it would register as a landing, but none of these things were happening consistently. Regardless of that it was charming and I kept playing for a bit, good work!

The Power Of Love: Cupid's Revenge by khahem 2015-04-20T05:05:00

Very interesting idea. It would be nice to get some sort of guide as to how characters will react in different situations, since sometimes I wasn't really sure how to get the right effects and it felt a bit random. Overall I really liked it and I think this has already got a pretty strong foundation. I'd definitely play more of this if it were fleshed out with more levels / features!

NO TIME TO EXPLAIN: GET IN THE LLAMA by Nidar 2015-04-20T05:19:00

Spamming the abilities was fun, though having to blast the aliens over an invisible wall was kinda weird. I would've preferred something more opaque so I could at least get an idea of how high they need to go to make it over. Overall it was entertaining, good job!

LOVE: An Unconventional Weapon by Cherrymochi 2015-04-20T19:43:00

Cute game! I could click on the money up to five times and collect extra before it would disappear sometimes. It probably wasn't intentional though the extra cash helped :P. Some of the sound effects were pretty loud compared to everything else. Overall I really liked it and would love to see more, great work!

Invasion Pizza Defender ! by Lord_Vinzz 2015-04-20T07:04:00

Fun, though a bit tricky at times. I enjoyed the music and the large variety of pizzas to throw :). Great work!

Splitting Hares by AlfalfaStudios 2015-04-20T03:59:00

I had fun, though the hoe seemed very overpowered compared to the shovel. Also right-clicking was a pain on the web player, when uploading on Game Jolt there is an option (called "Disable Right Click" or something similar) that should be able to fix that, though I haven't tested it personally. Overall I liked it, nice work!

Pacifist Piper by Pete Hufnagel 2015-04-20T05:22:00

Really interesting mechanic! Having to focus of lining up the character right and hitting the correct key last so I was facing the proper way was was kinda tricky. Having the facing direction and movement be independent may feel better (for me at least). Overall I really liked it and think it could be a really cool game if expanded on!

Dino & Satyr on a log by snarf 2015-04-20T06:11:00

Regardless of the lack of gameplay I had a lot of fun :P. With teamwork the dino and I were able to push the log off screen, woohoo! Interested in seeing where this game could go if expanded on :).

LD33 — You are the Monster

Bloodworm by Jonathan Whiting 2015-08-26T18:37:00

This was fantastic, loved the artwork and sound! It took me a little bit to understand that the red background stuff allowed me to climb, but I got the hang of it eventually. Overall it was really charming and fun, I really enjoyed being able to switch sides because it allowed the game to be a lot less frustrating and more forgiving. :D

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Entomb by interwebsninja 2016-08-30T20:08:00

Cool concept! Reminds me a bit of a first-person Magicka. There isn't much for me to critique since the game wasn't finished, though I agree with the other comment that locking the cursor would've helped a lot. I enjoyed playing the game regardless of its current state and would definitely love to play a more complete version when it's ready. :)

LD38 — A Small World

Evolve by Rudra Nil Basu 2017-05-09T21:36:54Z

Gorgeous game, the core mechanics remind me of flOw. One thing that definitely needs to go is the typeface used for the score. The 1s look way too much like the 7s and it took me forever to figure out why the timer seemed to be broken. Also it would be nice for the camera to zoom out a bit each time the level gets bigger for more visibility, but other than that it's definitely on the right track. Good work!

Super Smash Globes by 100th_Coin 2017-05-09T23:19:29Z

Would've liked the option to replay specific levels in the campaign, other that that I really enjoyed it! Instruments being added to the song as the campaign progressed was a nice touch. Definitely an interesting and unique game.

Asteroids by BlazeXenon 2017-05-15T19:59:57Z

Fun little game, got a little crazy difficulty-wise near the end but I was able to just barely survive on my first try! I wasn't really sure what the aliens did, they would orbit the planet occasionally but ultimately they were more helpful than harmful since they would shield my planet from the asteroids. Upgrades like larger shields and bat hitbox could definitely help replayability. Also the planned mechanics in the description they were mentioned seemed pretty interesting as well. Good work!

SHAKEDOWN by LancesCaterpie 2017-05-09T22:40:21Z

I really enjoy this overall! Unfortunately the game crashes whenever I try to talk to the mayor right after the cutscene he has with the mob boss. Not sure if that effects my ability to beat the game or not because I can't seem to figure out how to avoid the murder either way. I'll probably try a few more times regardless since it's a cool story and I'm interested in seeing it played out. Like others have said the music and graphics are great and create a strong atmosphere. Excellent work!

So she went after him by SWN_Matt 2017-05-16T01:39:04Z

Neat game overall! The story was interesting, though I would've liked to see more story told through the game instead of just text. Sometimes I couldn't tell what objects were in the background and what objects weren't. I beat the first two levels and then after some text the game restarted, so I think I got to the end? I liked the stealth mechanics and would like to see the game expanded more. Good work!

The Amoeba. by Denis Bataev 2017-05-15T20:17:41Z

Really cool concept! There was a bug where I wasn't able able to remove amoebas that were in a cube / rectangle format (rather than just a line). Also I haven't been able to figure out how to beat hard mode. A replay button would be nice too since I ended up playing several rounds. Overall I really like the concept and would love to see more. Great work!

Adhara Bat Slayer by Ruben 2017-05-16T01:29:20Z

I like the concept of moving around on different sides of the cube. I think my biggest issues were enemies spawning on / near me and hitting an enemy that I wouldn't have been able to see when switching sides. Other than that it's a really interesting idea and I would love to see it expanded / polished!

The Curator by adcrusher 2017-05-09T21:16:57Z

Cool idea! The bullet pathing mechanic was really interesting but the quick pace of the game made it difficult to use in practice. Any time I was concentrating on what sort of path to create I was distracting myself from the core gameplay. Personally having established cooldown areas to record paths or a menu would make more sense to me. The core gameplay was a bit tough for me and the minimum movement I could make seemed too large to make quick small dodging maneuvers but that could just be lack of experience in this genre as well. Also the story seems really interesting but I didn't really see how it connects with the game at all.

Overall it's a really neat concept for a shooter and it's off to a good start. I loved the graphics and would enjoy seeing more of the story in-game. It could even just be in small in-between sections between levels, or in upgrade menus or something. I'd be interested in seeing different ways to expand the idea of customizable bullet trajectories cause I really think there is a lot of potential there. Good work!

M.E.D.S by Extain 2017-05-15T20:27:24Z

Neat little game. It took me a while before I realized the virus couldn't hurt me, and the player spawning at the top of the scene seemed a bit weird for me. Overall it was pretty tough to keep up with the spawn rate of the virus, the powerups helped a bit but never quite helped as much as I would've liked. Maybe something like persistent powerups could help? Also small bug: if I was holding space and left I couldn't press up to go diagonal, it worked when going right though for some reason. I think it could be pretty cool with some more expanded features like permanent upgrades / new enemies / stuff like that. Good work!

Tank Pests by Kale the Quick 2017-05-15T20:46:59Z

The gravity wells really added an interesting element to the game! I lost a couple times but I didn't notice any health meter or anything like that so it was difficult to tell how well I was doing sometimes. I forgot I had an alternate attack until the very end but luckily I was still able to beat the game. It would've been nice to have some sort of end state for when the player beats the game but I had so much fun making designs with the bullets and gravity wells that I didn't really mind. Overall good work!

terraDefender by gunkow 2017-05-16T01:45:00Z

I like the gravity and how it affected everything in the game. Overall the gameplay felt pretty easy, it would be nice to see a bit more stuff like new monsters / bullets / powerups. I really enjoyed knocking the Earth around with my bullets! good work!

Down To Earth by Integral 2017-05-15T20:37:11Z

This is really cool and I'm surprised it doesn't have more comments! There is something wacky about the gameplay / physics that I really liked, a lot of the game was just the enemies, the key, and me bouncing all over the place. Very frantic but fun! Once I discovered I could use my attack as a speed boost things got a lot more interesting. I'd love to see this idea expanded a bit more. Great work!
