Great little puzzle game!

Great little puzzle game!
Excellent game! The graphics and sound are amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. Very good job.
Very funny game!
Awesome visuals. I enjoyed the frantic pace and really liked the death sequence.
Very neat game! Although on the second level I fell completely through the world and had to restart.
Couldn't play on OSX :(

Hilarious! And now people at work are looking at me funny...
I really enjoyed it! Great take on the theme.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! And I also apologize for the crappy turd level -it is too hard, shoulda cut it. Ah well.
@HunLyxxod no replay option :(. Once you've Hulkstered, that's it.
Again thanks for the feedback everyone! This is my first LD so the more feedback the better. I updated the description with a hint for the 'turd' level:
"**HINT** Since many are finding the 'turd' level impossible, here is a hint: Moving the Hulkster all the way left then back all the way right should get rid of all the poo and leave a couple seconds on the clock. If people are still getting stuck on it I'll ask an admin if it would be okay to edit the game to make it easier. I really want people to make it to the next level, as it is my personal favourite."
@Everyonewhowishestherewasacheckpointsystem Yeah I agree. Didn't seem necessary at the time because the game is quite short. But it is annoying playing the same levels over and over again isn't it?
Really like the concept. In the web version though the enemies aren't affected by the clock hand after the 20 second mark, they just walk right through.
I really, really, like this one. Great job!
Great job. I love the atmosphere and the descriptions of the civilizations on each planet.
Excellent aesthetics, provides great atmosphere. A fantastic little puzzle platfomer!
This game is hilarious! Loved the graphics and the sound. Can't wait to play the first one.
Really, REALLY enjoyed this one. Fantastic job. I want this on my phone!
@ Toastee Thanks, I used the program Hexels to make all the art.
@Endurion Sorry about the lack of sound. Couldn't get the sound to work right on anything but Chrome.
I really enjoyed this one. Great mechanic!
Nice job. It is really satisfying to pull a block from the middle, fall down through the bottom and match some blocks on top all in one go!
This is a pretty clever entry. I liked the art.
Wow! This has got to be one of the best LD entries I have ever played. Very innovative, very funny, excellent audio and great visuals. Fantastic job!
Pretty fun! Smooth controls.
Nice job getting multiplayer in. Great retro sounds. A little chaotic but fun!
This game is hilarious! I had fun.
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
@MadCapacity Took the short cut did you? :) The 'home' and 'continue' parts were only relevant for those who tried the hard way.
@hoqjed Thanks! Noooo that sucks. One day man, one day...
@Goutye Thanks! Sure I can explain it, I see a number of people don't see the connection or think it's a bit of a cop out.
I interpreted the theme as the entirety of the game in one level/scene as opposed to literally containing the gameplay to what was visible on screen. That is why there are no separate 'start' or 'instructions' or 'game over' screens or cutscenes (the little exposition that was needed was done in text, visible from the moment the game starts); essentially, everything in the game exists within one screen, visible as the camera moves with the player. That is why I also included the "fall" at the beginning, so that the player can see the entirety of the game, from the boss "fight" on the last level (literally the top level of the tower) down the the first level of the game, which is of course the literal first level of the tower. I hope that makes my interpretation a little clearer!
Well it was James Over for me pretty quick each try, tough game! Excellent sound.
I like the sounds! Nice idea combing a couple of old school games.
Simple game but it made me laugh!
Really well done for 48 hours. Love the look and sound of the game. Tough game, wish it started a little easier. Would have been nice to have a quicker restart too.
This was a blast! Great art and sound.
Neat game. I am little confused why the game seems to automatically reset after a set period of time... I tried several times and never had enough time to get past the 4th level. Would have liked to play more levels. Great sounds!
Fantastic game! My favourite so far. Really impressed this was made in 48 hours. Graphics and sound are really really well done! Only issue I was getting caught on walls occasionally.
This is probably the most ambitious LD game I've ever seen. It's incredible for being made in 48 hours. The atmosphere is amazing and the use of the theme is phenomenal. I struggled a bit with the console commands but eventually made it to the end. This is one of the best LD games I've played.
Neat mechanic and the controls feel great too. Good job!
@Geosearchef @DevDennis Agreed. I originally had boxes that you had to move onto pressure plates to release doors (by pushing the walls, the character couldn't move them) . It added a lot more puzzle depth but collision issues kept breaking the game so I had to remove them and reconfigured the level without them. If I do a post-jam version it will be with the collision fixed and boxes in.
It's nice to see a different take on the theme, haven't come across an economic/trading game yet!
Take that!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAALLL haha
This is the best jam game I've played this LD and one of the best LD game's I've ever played. Amazing. Way to go dudes.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
@sansman01 cool I'll have to check it out!
@benji-kershenbaum We had a bunch of other interactions planned but unfortunately we ran into the classic Ludum Dare issue of running out of time! In particular we wanted the interactions to have fail states that create branching paths. Oh well, maybe for a post-jam version!
@blobo If you made it to Jeff's fate then you reached the end, there was nothing else to do.
@palemek Thanks for playing. No intentional BlackAdder reference (you can take away the bonus points!) though I've heard of it I haven't seen the show before
@ulisses Wow thanks!
I really like the concept. Like another user said it would be nice to start with a smaller word and work your way up since it is pretty difficult. Very unique mechanic!
Great job on the art! Those are some really deadly spiders. Simple game but pretty enjoyable.
Wow great music, art, and concept. Kinda difficult to start but it's tough to pace a jam game.
I'll always commend jammers for making a 3D game in a few days! The wolf in particular looked pretty cool.
Made it to the second level but couldn't get past the first jump. Controls took some getting used to, especially the double jump speed (which seemed significantly faster than the initial jump). I liked the music track. Not bad!
Pretty funny game! It would be nice to instantly restart a minigame instead of going back to the wizard cutscene each time you failed though.
The paper art style isn't bad. The controls are a little rough though...The jump seemed to increase speed mid-way up the jump which makes the precision jumps very difficult. I liked the concept of the next level adding onto the previous level.
This is really clever! It would be nice to know which parts/shapes did what at the beginning but it was also fun see what each was after launch. Great job and great use of the theme.
Loved the audio and the mood. Filling in the level by clicking objects is neat but a little repetitive (thought it fits the theme nicely). Sometimes it was tough to tell what was a solid /interact-able object and what was part of the background.
Cool concept. It would be nice if there was more of a tell where an obstacle might be so it is a little less random. Still fun overall.
Not bad! I'm partial to narrator games myself... Good use of theme and good job on the mood!
Fantastic job! Loved the humor and the mood. I liked how it repeats at the end. The fishing mini game in particular was very satisfying.
This is a fun little platformer. Great art and sound. Lacking on the theme, but still pretty good overall. Your level design is great. My only critique for the design is that it would be nice to have a smaller section of spikes to practice jumping/attacking at the same time to get over for the first time.
Edit: Seems I had it wrong, you can just walk through the spikes!
Fun concept. Nothing wrong with the graphics! Good use of the theme.
