This is a really clever match 3 game. The music was great and I loved how it sped up as your spaceship was running out of fuel. It was a lot of fun running around, wall jumping, and moving blocks.
The potential of expanding this is pretty huge. I can imagine this turning into a multiplayer game where each player has certain colours they must solve while blocking their opponents blocks.
The issues I had were:
- Blocks that already matched 3 did not solve themselves
- When I ran out of the fuel I didn't just lose a life and continue playing, the game over music just kept looping and I couldn't play anymore.
- Blocks did not fall down on their own after solving other blocks beneath them.
Great job!
This is the best game I've played this Ludum Dare hands down. It's unbelievable how much your team was able get done in 72 hours.
Every fit together like a glove, the art (not my paintings XD), the music, voices, and the mechanics.
Nice art work - the audio was kind of grating, particularly when placing a bomb and waiting for it to explode.
Fun little bomber man clone!
The concept is pretty neat, it's very interesting having to cover such a large area with a moving turret.
It's unreal how much got done in 72 hours. Like others have said there are some issues regarding the theme, but who cares.. the more games out there the better! Good work!
Was really cool that Frosty Ninja's body would break apart as he was damaged. I felt some of the enemies that damage you should of been more clearly shown, the tree's sort of blended into the background due to being nearly the same value in shade.
The song could of maybe used a jingle bell to add a bit more to it and keep the beat.
I wasn't able to fire on OSX as I don't have a right control key. Consider making the spacebar the key to fire the deadly slime.
The controls were a bit awkward - it was not intuitive to press left to change the direction of the worm.
The worm looked really cool and the animation for it moving was well done. The graphics overall looked great!
Fun platformer! Some parts of the work confused me, like the part that says "Continue" and "Home" but there were some nicely laid out puzzles in this.
I love the cat! Cute model to be playing as. I enjoyed the puzzles. The way the level fell onto the scene was a nice transition when starting or restarting a level.
Great audio in this game! I also liked the art style.
I did have a hard time gauging how far my characters punch and kick would reach. I found it frustrating that it was hard to attack and easy to get hit. Also I couldn't tell how many hits I could take before dying.
Web link is broken - can't play the game.
I didn't know where I was when the game started, also the controls for movement didn't make sense to me. I couldn't tell what way my player was rotated when trying to move around. Decent concept.
The concept is neat - I like the multiplayer aspect, the game itself has some usability issues like the lack of a health bar. Nice pixel art.
Good work overall.
Neat game! It's a fun mechanic that could maybe fit as a puzzle in a larger game?
I really enjoyed this mechanic - lots of potential for a strategy game. I had a hard time understand at first how the attacking worked and I didn't really get what the blue bar/cover did versus the red health bar.
Good job!
Seems interesting - but I don't have a second player to really test it with. Nice graphics though!
Well done! The music feels a bit off with the theme of the game but the mechanics were wonderful.
Great job! I wish I had made it! XD
Great job man! Would love to see this idea taken further!
Great art - I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay, but I like play on words.
Good level of polish :)
Played a few times and really enjoyed it even though I couldn't really figure out exactly how you upgrade. Wished it was a little more clear. The game's a little hard, I could never have time to heal as I had to keep moving and kiting the enemies.
I thought it was great that the fish were faster then you, but you could move to the side and they were not the best at turning.
I think the cat should of not been black, you completely disappear into the void of space XD
Great job guys!
I felt it could be a pretty fun game! I felt frustrated how hard it was though, I felt it could maybe just be a bit harder.
Thanks psydack - I fixed that issue :D
Neat concept! I think it fits the theme nicely. I couldn't play it very well as I don't have a keypad on my keyboard.
Awesome game!Nice and simple! Was worth playing haha.
Controls felt a little weird to me, I wished I could skip the intro. Some basic sound would of been nice too! The game was pretty hard, you can run out of life pretty fast I found.
A map would of been useful for the player too, I felt like I was taking leaps of faith some times into the void.
Great entry though was an interesting idea!
Cool idea - I found it difficult to manage so many ships and so many enemies coming at them.
Some good potential here, I would have liked to have seen a little more polish regarding feedback when my ships are getting hit or when they are hitting the enemy.
Nice concept - I really liked how you could step back through levels. I couldn't get passed level 5.
Graphics did not load for me on OSX, all the bmps in /images were not found.
This was a wonderful puzzle mechanic - great job!
Very interesting concept - it took me a while to understand what was going on but I enjoyed the play between the game and the option on the side.
Couldn't run the game on Kongregate - it wouldn't get past the ad.
Can't run a windows executable. Consider porting it to other platforms. Should be easy since you're using Unity.
Looks like it would be alot of fun to play with friends! Great job!
Great artwork, the mechanic was fun but I found the audio of throwing the carrot to got a little annoying once you were firing a lot of them. It drowned out the awesome music.
Felt good to play - nice job!
I couldn't find the player character for the first bit, I was pretty confused.
Fun mechanics - good job!
Was great! I gave the game a chance after opening it and it surprised me. I felt the animation was a little stiff and could of used more thought into the timing as it is just constant movement.
This is coming from an artists point of view though!
Overall it was a great Jam, great job guys!
A list of the controls beforehand would've been nice.
Fantastic graphics! The game has a lot of potential.
Reminds me of Hot Shots golf series, but at least I don't get frustrated when I don't get a perfect shot :P
Wen link isn't working :(
Super cool style!
Running into a red car would slow down the player to a snail's pace.
A great creepy ambiance, it felt kind of like a scene from an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Bravo!
Cool concept, some real potential there. The characters were not responsive enough. I was frustrated that the characters seemed so heavy and didn't move when I wanted them to.
Nice water physics. If there was a way to empty out water, that'd be good to have.
Couldn't run, need an executable
Awesome game, looks really polished and played very smoothly. A super creative idea, I can see this being expanded upon. I felt very evil!
Great game, the combat felt weighty. I loved your art! Played through a couple of time.
Godzilla came across my mind while thinking of my game idea :)
Felt a little slow to control.
It would've have been nice if the jump function was smart enough to figure out short hops versus long hops. I found myself dying too often from over jumping...
The memory leak was an excellent way to add a time limit to the game XD
Neat game :) I was a little confused at first but then I got it.
Clever game, the movement mechanics was a fresh take on moving around a top down dungeon. It played well into the tropes that monsters in a dungeon only move in certain directions.
Well done!
Awesome visuals!
I like the idea so far. It would be cool to see where you could take this!
This is a hilarious use of the theme!
THIS GAME IS AMAZING. Great music, really keeps you wanting to hit the ball just one more time :)
