That's a really good game!
Nitpicky thing, I think the aspect ratio is slightly off for a GB game.
(also I really love the music :D)
I like the concept behind the level up, altough I sorta of wish it had some non-linearity to it.
Apart from that it's a nice little fun game. Just a question, does gold have any actual use?
Hmm, the shift key doesn't do anything for me...
Not sure that the floaty movement fits the theme and the overral game that much (and it also adds to difficulty). The concept though is nifty and fun.
Uh, reminded me of Monster Love You, although maybe with less love. Nicely done, it also looks quite good (i mean, for how much a text adventure can look good)
A bit disappointed I didn't got to play a ratspider
That's a neat idea, but killing humans is incredibly hard. Slow them down when they overlap you maybe?
Altough anything referencing Zappa gets points for that.
Hmm, simple game concept, although it's quite nice as an edu-tainment thingy.
Only thing that seems weird is the size of the character in respect to his actual collider (its mouth), just feel a bit weird to play.
Would probably benefit from some indicator to how close you are to the water level (to time the special skills). Apart from that, nice game :D
Lacks a bit of game feel (I actually think it would feel quite good with a puzzl-y platform-but-on-grid type of movement -think something like exit), apart from that I really enjoyed it. The theming put a big smile on my face, and the levels are actually quite fun.
Interesting concept despite being quite buggy. Not a fan of traps with separately placeable triggers (i found them hard to get my head around in Evil Genious too) but that's just me.
cool game! Maybe would work a bit on the controls as they are not extremely precise right now (the arrow keeps flickering)
This is a genuinely super cool concept. I would play (and pay) the hell out of a more flashed out version of this.
Only suggestion that I can give is that the camera movement probably works great on touch devices but it's a tiny bit ankward on pc.
Nice game, love the aesthetic! Would have been nice if the monster changed his lines depending on his aggression.
That is a cool game concept!
The game is fun albeit a bit simple. I would honestly play the hell out of a more complex iteration on this theme and gameplay!
Really nice, the aesthetics work pretty well, and destroying buildings feels good. Nothing much else apart from that, but there's really no need for anything else.
Honestly I was immensely confused about what I had to do. Still destroying buildings is always fun.
The control scheme feels a bit ankward though (ctrl and space work fine, but with the finger in that position shift is hard to reach... maybe put X as an alternate key for fireballs?)
Ah and I quite enjoyed the phrasing of the tutorial, and the aesthetics are quite nice.
Hmm, it's an interesting and in many part compelling game. It took me a bit to get the mechanics but they work quite nicely. I do think though that as it is now it lacks any strategic depth, which a turn based game does need. As there is no way to predict what the opponent will use, the game sorta of turns into a very luck based endevour.
Also, respect for the blue diamonds.
Interesting concept, though the lack of aiming or any strategic element makes it a bit of a button masher.
Still fun though.
If i had to suggest something, maybe change the color of the boss bullet, through the whole of the first phase i was convinced the E attack wasn't working because red bullets on a dark background going super fast are near invisible
nice proof of concept, controls need work though (altough honestly It will probably play ok on a pad even with this controls)
Theming feels a bit off, as the game wouldn't change much by switching monsters and heroes.
Game's quite fun though, fast paced stealth is a type of gameplay that can be quite fun, and there are not enough games about it in the world.
normally I'd say to reduce the vertical scale of the levels, as having super high jump is always inconvenient, but honestly, it plays well with the weirdness of the theming. Cool game.
The game sorta of hung up on me, i was stuck on an endless telephone loop while notifications came from everywhere (also some choices sometimes don't work), I surely don't remember my Undergrad life being so exciting.
From the small portion of the game I saw though it is a cool idea.
Definitelly needs better feedback for when you're hitting enemy (really early on i got the lightning weapon, and it took me too much time to understand it was actually a weapon). On the plus side, the basic shooty weapon made me go "WHOOO", because it was fast and cool looking.
That's a really cool concept for a platformer!
Yay for screenshake! Also pushing the character back a bit would have further enhanced the game feel.
I wish there was more game that the one level, it's quite fun in a visceral way.
The game is simple but fun. Well done! :D
Only thing is probably the "start screen" which doesn't look great and can be a bit of a turn off from downloading the game. But I understand that in 48 hours there's not really lot of time to polish the start screen :p
Nice game! Great looking and polished.
Doesn't start for me (windows 7)
While I like the core mechanic the theming makes it a bit confusing at the beginning, as it's not super easy to understand why ships are sinking. After having got that though it's a nifty little puzzle game.
The game succeeds in giving a sense of "power" (tiny enemies is one of the best and most under-utilized things in games). I would maybe suggest to start the game with a slower pace, as it is at first a bit confusing.
This looks gorgeous! Well Done!
Game is also quite fun!
Simple but engagin. Well done.
Sometimes it does seem to be a bit untied to the music though, maybe in a final version making so that the bullets and stuff pulsate to music might help.
Great concept and interesting controls, but the game built around it, while entertaining, doesn't really seem to fit.
At least for me the most fun of using those control is the wildness and unpredictability of the movement and the slashing. I feel that a more hacky-and-slashy version of this would be so much more fun than a precision based puzzle.
Anyhow, still a fun and engaging game, well done!
Good game, but needs some explaining of the controls/gameplay
To be honest I find landing mechanic generally frustrating, but given that this games execute the concept very well, and I can appreciate the flow and stripped-downess of it.
That's brilliant! Not sure how it fits in the theme, but it is a really cool concept!
Well done!
Well done! small elegant game, very fun.
Not sure if there's a lose condition though.
A bit hard but overall solid release.
Although keep in mind that a straight up .exe rather than an installer is a way more immediate way to distribute
Nice concept, maybe it'd need some downside to just spamming the free button though.
Good game. Great visuals and love the risk/reward mechanic duality of avoiding and exploding
Well done!
Good job!
Love how the difficulty scales diegetically
only note: when you click right then left it counts as a double click, and i feel it shouldn't (not sure if a bug or a design decision)
That's extremely polished for a game made in three days, well done!
Took a while to understand the mechanic. UI definitelly needs work, as it's too "divided".
Love the immediacy of the planet/health systems.
Very awkward to control. While that is probably part of the challenge of the game, if I have to be honest I just find it a bit frustrating.
Nice game! Very interesting core mechanic and great game feel. Would be a bit better if the floor had some diegetic reason for the floor to move forward, maybe a treadmill of something will help.
Well Done!
maybe it needs a sound effect or something when you click on a building, to notify you you now have to click on the grid to build it.
I'm also not a fan of how the upgrading cost increases globally rather than by building to building basis.
Apart from that is a nifty little prototype with a really cool idea in the "expanding world"
Took me 10 minute to understand how the menu worked. I'm assuming you could have used more than one button at least for the menu.
Apart from that, not really my cup of tea, but obviously effort has been put into it, so well done :)
Well done! Love the aesthetics!
Well I failed the experiment :p
Nice little proof of style though
Simple but smart idea!
Would probably work a bit better by losing the walls and basing it more on shoting stuff.
Still, good work!
Found it very hard, but the idea is quite interesting!
Inversely tying the power of the character to his health is quite interesting, and the thening is nice.
Well Done!
(Cronothep tho -_-)
Cute little game
Actually tried it alone and tbh it was quite fun trying to play both sides, so that might be an idea for you to expand it or something :p
Like the concept, altough I feel that the completability of it is very random.
As a side note, as much as the music is fitting please add volume control for it :p
Nice entrancing little game! Maybe the symbols should match somewhat in shape the direction you are pressing, but the nice curve with which the content is presented doesn't make this much of a problem.
Well done!
Wow, really love the concept
would love to see it evolve in a full fledged game
Nice take on 2d shooters, might be interesting to find non-shooty uses for the fishies, so that they are not just a replacement for bullets. Overall very enjoyable!
Nice little game, love the minimalistic controls and the resource management mechanics!
Nice concept, might have worked better with a smaller grid maybe.
Nice music and cool concept, would love to see it expanded in something a bit more complex.
Interesting visuals, altough i feel that the gameplay itself is not really that much fun. trying to lock your gun on your enemy feels quite frustrating, and there seem to be no action that the player can take to not being shot at (why not a simple time limit at this point?)
32 bit version?
Control needs refining, innteresting concept though!
Good visuals and while simple the gameplay is quite fun if one has someone to play it with.
Quite a nice concept, would love to see it expanded on.
brilliant concept and good execution, well done!
That's a great concept that might be worth developing further, there's a lack of games about social medias in the world.
Simple but enjoyable. Well done.
Fun and interesting. Only 2 notes
1 - maybe make it clearer that getting to the bottom of the level is the win condition
2 - I feel like it would work better if it was a bit more fast paced. Digging blocks with one hit rather than two would probably have a worse game feel, but maybe make for smoother gameplay
Nice concept.
In a full fledge version I would love some sort of mechanic that gives the player at least a tiny bit of agency on when to lock the log though.
That's quite cute. also incredibly art for me :p
Quite simple but cool take on the runner genre.
Only two nitpicks:
1. transitioning from a side to the other can be used to avoid things that one should not be avoid.
2. Sliding seems to last a bit too long to be intuitive and, at least I, couldn't really ever get the hang of it.
Quite hard, interesting though, good music
Controls are a it unintuitive, idea is neat though!
It confuses a bit, but the aesthetics were overall great.
It maybe needs a better explaining of the mechanics, and it could be genuinelly good if the concept were expanded.
Cool game, reminds me a bit of Please, Don't Touch anything.
I like the atmosphere, but, while I understand you were following the theme, I think that having a full directional movement helps a lot in setting a mood (in that spookiness is tied to accountability, and the player is not accountable while on a rail). Aside from that, nice work!
Chaotic but quite fun, would love to see this developed in a more polished version
Really enjoying this. Nice music, cool concept and visually enjoyable!
Well Done!
Oh! Thanks for letting me know @Aim! I had ticked the "disable new downlaod" boxe for some reason. Should be fixed Now :D
