Linux and Mac build coming soon
Fell off a cliff, never to return. No idea what was going on, but really cute art style! :D Nice work!
Cute little game, altough the isometric view makes it a bit frustrating.
Also, should probably improve on game feels (shooting doesn't have any "weight" to it)
Web build not working for me - it's just Dropbox offering to download the html file.
Love the style.
I am uploading all versions right now...I made this on Linux so testing wasn't really easy :D BTW Thanks on comments I will definitely keep updating this game :) Follow me on Twitter for more info @Petkovix
Tried windows build. The graphics are nice, but the gameplay is lacking. Also, why complete silence?
There's something to be said for the idea of a pig turned into a monster, though (-8
I'm sorry, I couldn't get myself to finish your game.
The controls are just incredibly hard to handle and very awkward. I kept turning in a direction I didn't expect and fell off the platform in the introduction part at least three times before I realized what was actually going on. The flames seem to start from the wrong end and I get hit by them even when the particles don't actually reach me yet, which is quite infuriating.
The graphics are fine otherwise. Simplistic and abstract for the most part that I could see, though the particle effects don't quite fit into that. When the platforms overlap there's gross texture clipping going on. You should look into techniques to avoid that from happening.
There's a spelling error in your introduction text.
I don't really understand the story going on. Why are they pigs? Is it metaphorical somehow? If so, I just can't see it; sorry.
Guessing by the awkwardness of the controls I would wager that this is one of your first games. If so, don't worry. Take a look at existing games and tutorials to see how they handle movement, then work on figuring out how to replicate that into a scheme that makes the player character fun to move around. Getting movement right is a core part of any game like this, and investing time into learning how to do it will definitely help you a lot in your next game. Good luck!
Nice little game, although I found controls a bit awkward
Cute graphics and isometric view looks really nice. Controls a little hard to handle but a solid effort and an excellent submission. Well done.
Very striking art style, but the controls make it difficult to play :(
Thanks Shinmera...Yeah this is my first ever finished Ludum Dare game :D BTW Thanks on your comment
The isometric view makes it really hard to judge where you really are in the world (Seems like you are hovering) and the controls feel a bit clunky. But the artstyle is lovely and the machinegun-piggy is really adorable :)
Loved the art style. There seems to be an issue sometimes where bullets won't collide. Was the boss on the last level a dead cow ? :) Text flash past too quick, are you using the number of frames to time them ? Have a look at Time.deltaTime.
Thanks on comment Reyn :D Yeah I used frames...I will keep updating game I hope you will play it when I finish it :)
The embedded version doesn't work for me (chrome console: "Refused to display 'https://www.dropbox.com/s/funxinz8bh9r8wf/New%20Folder.html?dl=0' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.")
Anyway, the game looks nice, I like the style and the isometric view. But it would really need some sound... Also, the controls are a bit weird, but I got used to them. The text disappears too fast, I could not read what it said. And I'm not sure if that is intended, but the particles seem to go in the opposite direction?
The controls are really weird because of the isometric view and because the input seems to be delayed by me. Also these appearing and disappearing flames (e.g. in Level 3) should disappear earlier, because its a bit confusing when they stay that long.
Apart from that nice art and cute game :)
Thanks OadT...I'll keep updating game hope you will follow progress :)
Pros:
Funny game, interesting premise
Interesting puzzle platform mechanics.
Cons:
Not always sure why I failed a level
Buggy build
Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you for playing :) I will keep updating game :)
Art style is awesome. Controls are a bit funny, but my biggest problem was the shadow that looks offset. I wasn't sure at first if i was hovering and gave me trouble to navigate without falling off.
Cute artstyle! Like the colours and overall mood. But there are some bugs - you need to restart a game when you fall off the level. And I couldn't figure out how to end the last level.
Thanks for the comments...And yeah last level is really hard :P
It's a pig with a machinegun and a flamethrower! Awesome. Took me a while to figure out the controls. Would be better if the movement keys matched what you see on screen, or if you allowed mouse controls.
I think I was at the last level? I didn't see any more pigs, but the game didn't end.
Fun stuff, the controls were a bit hard, it wasn't intuitive which way was which. Also falling off in the first level doesn't respawn.
I loved the art style, and pig cannon particles are always great!
Thanks for suggestions guys :) I will start working on update soon...
OK EVERYONE HERE IS MY PLANS:
I will keep updating game on GameJolt!
Idea is to make game really hard *something like Super Meat Boy*,but with easier controls.
To do list:
-New controls(WASD and Mouse)
-New gameplay mechanics
-New levels and story lines *ones that actually make sense*
Really funny, enjoyed it a lot :p
I love the design but the game pay and game design make the game really hard to play.
Also the text skip way too quickly. Tip: To make sure it's readable, you (the maker) need to be able to read it twice.
Absolutely no idea what was going on at any point :/
Looks really cool, but the controls are not really suited for the game.
The graphics are cool.
But the controls are very awkward, there are some glitches too, you can fall off a cliff and never respawn.
This could really do with some sound.
I am too "smart" to come in the 3rd level sorry
