LD30 — Connected Worlds

WHAT'S NEXT? by jsspiegel 2014-08-25T10:22:00

Even if I don't agree with the sides chosen 100% I really like your application of the theme.
The world is more connected now than ever, and I think you represent this political fact very powerfully.
Great art, tense music, very meaningful, well done! =)

Connected Sphere by mess110 2014-08-25T08:38:00

Does the Prize mean I win?
I loved the opening poem, that's a great idea.
The faces on the cube made me care about him =(

Stellation by atomic_swerve 2014-08-25T11:25:00

A fantastic idea, I think I'll leave it running and see who turns up.

WorldLine by Jellycakes 2014-08-26T14:59:00

I do think the third level is a little too difficult. Even with the hint you had to go the right way and be looking in the right direction.
Aside from that, everything was excellent. Great puzzles, the ambient sound made for a brilliant mood in the different lcoations, great graphics. Most of all, I really liked the application of the theme, the phone connecting worlds was unique and intriguing.
Great Job!

\ \ World Shift \ \ by lambomang 2014-08-25T07:35:00

Love the music, and interesting challenges.

Galactic Paperboy by Aaants 2014-08-25T12:09:00

A little bit difficult, and being reintroduced to each level every time is a little odd.
But excellent everything. Graphics, Audio (the cymbal crash on death is brilliant), great use of the theme, funny.
Best game I've played yet.

The Warehouse Connection by Jesper Oskarsson 2014-08-25T12:34:00

I only played it alone and I really liked the style. The movement of the glowing pedestals, the motion of the door. The colour scheme was also interesting, although the warehouse as a whole felt pretty desolate.
I imagine that makes it better during coop.
I also really like the application of the theme. Where you and your friends inhabit the Connected Worlds and have to cooperate via voice alone.
Great Job!

Sleepy Time by SkyWolf 2014-08-25T09:20:00

That was horrifying, brilliant stuff.
I love the art style.

Circular Logic by Benn 2014-08-25T00:44:00

Cool Concept, and well designed rooms.
I'd buy a longer more polished version.

Ultra Realistic Social Network Simulator by Ludipe 2014-08-25T19:45:00

Hilarious to watch. I wish that somehow the interation did more, like some sort of multiple choice mundane comment system?
Great use of social integration too, but I'm not quite ready to post "Fuck the police (Spiderman) #socialsim via @Ludipe" to my twitter.
Good fun =)

Unfinished Crap by CustomPhase 2014-08-25T14:48:00

Maximum points for Mood and Humour. It also looked really great.
Could use more game though =P It got impossible before long.

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-08-25T19:34:00

Ahh good old lunar lander. Every comment and planet description was hilarious. Great job, lots of fun =D

SPIRITS! by Hackingroelz 2014-08-25T08:16:00

Nice stealth action, lots of things to interact with as your other self, quite difficult though I found.

80s space trains in hell by EatYourBeef_Doug 2014-08-25T11:38:00

Looked great! Fun gameplay. The laser sound is a little annoying though =)

Connected Worlds by g_o 2014-08-25T13:10:00

This was an odd one =)
I liked the hand drawn style, and the RPG type conversations.
The gameplay was a little glitchy though. But so was mine after only 48 hours.
Cool game, and nice soundtrack!

Elevator by longloaf 2014-08-25T00:57:00

Very cool. Mysterious and looked great.

Frontier by crezefire 2014-08-25T13:41:00

Hey,that website seems to be having some trouble. Perhaps put it up on dropbox/google drive/ that one with the .go or something.

Frontier by crezefire 2014-08-25T13:42:00

Ahh, upon refreshing, all was well.

Frontier by crezefire 2014-08-25T13:57:00

A bit difficult to navigate, slightly leaning more towards frustrating than challenging for me. Perhaps just because its difficult to get your bearings even when the camera is upright. Excellent style.
But its got some really cool mechanics, looks great and I liked the soundtrack!

Blueprint dude by hate-marina 2014-08-25T20:01:00

I loved the style, and the level design was really good. Sort of forcing the player to remember the layouts or die.
Some mechanics, like jumping before transitioning were a little tough to figure out though. Great game!

Interstellar Wreckers by Joshua_S 2014-08-25T07:38:00

Fun physics sand box, I didn't seem to be able to turn properly anymore in the fourth level.
It's very satisfying to swing a rock into planets.

Peeka Boo by KamikaziUk 2014-08-25T15:55:00

I really liked the classical music. Scaring them with the piano was quite fun.
You get seen quite slowly, so I found I could just stand in the light and toggle them to death.
But the gameplay concept was great, I liked sneaking around and trying to startle them. Good atmosphere

Come Creatures, Come pls by okmmjyygv 2014-08-25T08:42:00

I loved the distinct look of the worlds.
Interesting gameplay mechanic as well.

H.L.3t (Homeless Zet) by Monochrome Bears 2014-08-25T15:22:00

Took a bit to get the hang of it. But its pretty fun once it gets going. Trying to fight back to the point of them not landing on the floor anymore.

Nice job =)

Planetary Bowling by Akz- 2014-08-25T14:58:00

5 stars for fun obviously.
Agree the theme connection is a little tenuous but this game is great and look very polished.
Great work!

Superdimensional by PixelMind 2014-08-25T20:23:00

Wow. That was spectacular. Great concept, well executed. The most polished game I've played yet.

Ennaffa by MintArcade 2014-08-25T19:23:00

As others have said, separating the framerate from the move speed would make the experience more consistant.
The environments were pretty amazing, they were very well themed and looked fantastic. The mood was great as a result and the level design seemed quite detailed and well thought out.
I have no idea how you made all this in 48 hours. Great work!.

The Hoverator by Viza 2014-08-25T11:13:00

Excellent Music
Fantastic Graphics
Superb gameplay/controls
Brilliant stuff

Siege From Above by CeriseGhost 2014-08-25T09:13:00

Lots of fun, I was compelled to get onto the scoreboards =D

Mirrored Mittens by Foofur 2014-08-25T13:16:00

The animations were really cool, and the music fit really well too.
Was one of the levels repeated? I kept having to do (2 or 3) twice.
Anyway, great job. Nice puzzler!

Conundrum by Lovro Kalinovčić 2014-08-25T10:53:00

Good puzzles, nice use of the concept =)
I think I agree with gwa, it would be nice to skip the tab key.

Alterned Realities by Norfinel 2014-08-25T15:48:00

Quite difficult I think, but I made it in the end!
Mouse control, might be a little easier.
Nice soundtrack and fun game. good work =)

In My Garden by MercuryLegba 2014-08-25T07:52:00

The buzzing in the video came in at just the right time for me. It all felt so eerie.

The story also really drew me in, my girlfriend has worked in aged care and I felt a strong connection to what she described.

Constellation by Aglavra 2014-08-25T14:12:00

Really nice artwork and designs. There is quite a bit of content here, and a its a nice idea to respect the inhabitant enemies of other worlds.

The Social Network by Silveryard 2014-08-25T12:51:00

Really enjoyable social network clicker/sim type thing =)
I'm glad noone is dissatisfied by all the servers being full all the time, that might make it even harder.
Great Work!

The Signal by tillrobby 2014-08-25T09:38:00

It does have a fair bit of backtracking. But I enjoyed it a lot.
The galaxy portals and backdrop looked amazing.
The music was great. Did you write it yourself?
Excellent Game

Brillium by Cody Ward 2014-08-25T11:04:00

Interesting concept and a nice presentation =)
I don't seem to be able to stay alive very long though. Probably my fault.

Cubic's Adventure by RikMuld 2014-08-25T08:19:00

Looks amazing, ran fine on my Windows 8 machine.
I'd play the full version =)

LD30 God Game by Khaibit 2014-08-25T11:42:00

Nice style and an interesting use of the theme. But that means limited interaction.

HexConquest by LeoZ 2014-08-25T19:12:00

It's a little difficult to follow the interface at first. But not for long. A great hex strategy game, I can really imagine getting into this with more units, options, maps and all sorts. Even with the bare bones its addictive.
Great Job!

Pushback Cities by tulevik.EU 2014-08-25T10:38:00

Sim City meets Upside Down.
This was really fun even playing against myself.

Pushback Cities by tulevik.EU 2014-08-25T10:40:00

I should mention. The installer might turn some people away, is it possible to make it standalone?

Adamantium Cyborg by TD5 2014-08-25T10:09:00

Really liked the music.
It was most enjoyable and hectic when there were lots of enemies to shoot =)

Space Adventures and Stuff by simileinchen 2014-08-25T11:49:00

The music was really fitting for the islandy adventure.
Nice use of the theme. The puzzles were interesting and tough.

Bi-Bob by Donar 2014-08-25T20:13:00

That button glitch is a bit dodgy, I think that counts as a win condition bug if you still want to add the button.

This was one of the best application of the themes I've seen. I can see what you meant by our games being similar, but I had more Coop in mind with mine. You on the other hand made explored the mechanic in much more depth for a single player. The synchronized jumping part was fantastic.

I really felt the story embodies the theme better than any other game I've played.

Excellent Job!

Kate by LaFleur 2014-08-25T09:27:00

Amazing mood. The water reminded me of Lucas Arts games from long ago.
I couldn't find anything after the first water part though.

Node 54 by silentlamb 2014-08-25T08:25:00

I really enjoyed this one, even though I suck at it.

Big fan of the background tile pattern too.

Up and Down arrows seemed to be inverted for me, that might be less disorienting if the sprite rotated to face the current heading. =)

In Phase by McFood 2014-08-25T09:46:00

Thanks for the comments everyone =)
Your games rock too!

callmemonamiral: I'll look at adding some temporary invisible walls, that should sort it out.

tillrobby: The code that keeps the players on the platforms is some of the dodgiest code I've ever written. Maybe one day I'll do it with a guiding spline insdead =P

In Phase by McFood 2014-08-25T12:19:00

I was a bit rushed in the end and mashed some mechanics and story together. Ideally it would be longer to better explore both =)
Thanks for the comments =D

Earth, Hell and Space by kikito 2014-08-25T11:20:00

Cute style, good use of the theme and best of all, excellent puzzles. Nicely done!

Nibiru is late! by Inudenis 2014-08-25T12:16:00

Very fun once you get used to the controls.
Nice and difficult too, or maybe I was just too aggressive. Either way, nice job!

Spacesuit Of Glue by hazzahazzam 2014-08-25T10:00:00

I think the controls were perfectly tuned for the gameplay. Good job on your first LD!

ET Invasion, Random Game by Anshzinc 2014-08-25T19:41:00

Simple and Fun, I liked it. The control scheme worked really well, although I would have liked to be able to aim at more angles. Keep up the good work and congratulations on on your first entry!

Sunblaztor by bladderbloat 2014-08-25T08:52:00

That was a lot of fun and it looked great.
Congratulations on your first solo game!

The Makers Hand by coffeemuggames 2014-08-25T09:50:00

Unfortunately mine says "A Java Exception has Occurred"
My JRE release: 1.7.0
x64 and x86 jre installed.

Dear Sister by Robinerd 2014-08-25T12:25:00

That was beautiful. Thanks for the different take on the theme.

ggLD by member_of_jabber_conference 2014-08-25T08:45:00

The smoke plumes are really cool, but I feel a bit guilty destroying so many universes with such a happy face lol.

Hers and His by dadman 2014-08-25T13:54:00

The more 'connected worlds' part of it was a bit far fetched and loopy. I can see what you mean when you said you got off track. It felt like a very unusual exploration of odd thoughts.

What if you did that thing that popped into your head randomly? Few people would explore that aspect of multiple choice type games because it often ends suddenly exactly how you'd expect.

All in all this set of stories was really interesting, I did get the social commentary feeling from it as well as many other odd and interesting themes which I thoroughly enjoyed exploring.

Great work!

WCOM by ShadowTzu 2014-08-25T21:40:00

I really enjoyed firing so many bullets and ploughing through enemies. As others have said, the levels seem a bit too big given that the gameplay remains relatively constant.
Maybe a hint of where to go, or a gameplay twist (power ups or bosses maybe) would keep it fresh.
Fun game, congratulations on your first entry!

2LOVERS by RevoluGame 2014-08-25T08:30:00

That was really cute. Great style and lots of content too.

WORLDS 2D by fleegle2000 2014-08-25T11:08:00

I loved the ending screen. Good use of an interesting mechanic. Congratulations on your first entry!

Tin Can Internet by fserb 2014-08-25T15:46:00

Great gameplay, It seemed a bit glitchy if I came close to connecting 2 planets at once.
Lots of fun, challenging but fair, looks great and funny.
Really good job =)

Connection Chase by Nanofus 2014-08-25T09:07:00

One of the best LD games I've played. Very tactical, tense, looks great.

NetConnect by teoacosta 2014-08-25T14:34:00

The game ran pretty slowly on my Surface Pro unfortunately.
The music is my favourite of any LD game so far. It really contributes to a great mood.
All the art is fantastic too.
I had some troubles with the bounding boxes too, bumping into them when trying to jump over the enemies, sometimes they would go missing seemingly.
Anyway, amazing work for 48 hours!

NetConnect by teoacosta 2014-08-25T15:28:00

I managed to speed it up quite a bit by using Chrome, and making the window smaller. I think it was just rendering too large =)

LD33 — You are the Monster

The Much Loved Monster by IndigoWolf 2015-08-24T09:03:00

Excellent mood, great writing!
As others have said, it's a bit short, but that's expected.

It might have been nice to have something of a conclusion, and encourage multiple play throughs rather than the looping.

It fit the theme well, even without noticing the monstrosity score, I felt like a monster =D

Bridge Dweller by Somfunambulist 2015-08-25T13:12:00

The game play could be a bit faster paced I think.
Otherwise, it had a great progression. Lots of features letting you build up your monster filled woods.

Sort of borrowing from Tower Defence and Moba in a way, Its a neat combination. Great work!

Teenage Monster by dpisarcik 2015-08-30T01:46:00

Captured the mood pretty well, the sound and graphics and gameplay all feel right together.

It was pretty fun, although I struggled to find enough hair gel, which doesn't seem like a realistic problem in highschool.

The humor was great, "This makes your hair do what other people want it to do", which also made your interpretation of the theme a little deeper I think.

Great job!

Being a Video Game Monster! by g_o 2015-08-24T12:33:00

I really liked the music.
Are we supposed to be able to get on the big red platform? I didn't seem to be able to jump that high.

I like your use of the theme. Pit the weak monster against the invincible player is really interesting.

I'm not sure what the end goal was, but exploring that theme more, maybe with you being one of many easily disposed monsters, suffering more humiliation at the hands of the player, the player easily respawning while you get a game over screen. Something like that might have added to it a bit more.

Good job!

Web Spinner by APC 2015-08-25T08:36:00

I had a crash after a little while when trying to place a web, I might have clicked off the screen?

But before that, this was excellent! I've never seen a game like this before. Great idea! Very satisfying to play.

Great job!

Within by Andrew Deem 2015-08-24T09:21:00

Nice and atmospheric music, fit the aesthetic well.

The gameplay was interesting, although I was a bit confused by swapping screens so often. I didn't really understand whether I had a choice in which character to progress with, and whether it mattered.

Maybe I should have read into it more, but perhaps a simpler starting room, could make it easier to grasp the importance of the multiple switches, multiple choice and story text.

Also I feel the puzzles could have been a little bit harder.

Great Job!

The Chase by Caracole 2015-08-26T12:33:00

That was great. How long is the level? It seemed very impressively long. Excellent use of the blue to highlight shortcuts, it was intuitive and fun.

The sound really contributed to the mood, many games have you as a literal monster, but few make you feel it. Great job!

Shape-Shift Escape by keyboardmonkey 2015-08-26T13:13:00

Ahh that felt just right. Funny, well themed, good puzzles. Thanks for not letting me fail the game making silly mistakes. Great work with all the art and music. Really nailed the Point and Click feel that I remember.

Well done!

You need a Hug by TiByte 2015-08-24T11:37:00

Nice job with the voice acting, It was a cool intro to the story.

The music, sound effects and art gave a really cute atmosphere. That was a nice twist on the theme, literal monster, but heart of gold.

Great job!

A Series Of Totally Legit Events by Slashee the Cow 2015-08-24T13:07:00

Oh wonderful.
Everything was really entertaining to read.
There was a lot more content than I was expecting.
The theme was worked in nicely, even if perhaps the player didn't feel it.
I had a blast.

I'll be working on those other endings.

Cruelty by Jeasonfire 2015-08-31T02:54:00

Great job making an rts in 48 hours!
I seemed to lose two of my villagers some how, one of them walked into the barracks and never came back. I still managed to win though.

The units would have been easier to control if they converged on my click location, rather than all moved in the same direction.

Match by SojaBird 2015-08-26T12:20:00

Ohh that was interesting. Only I can prevent forest fires.
Do different wind speeds weaken the fire, or does it always help the fire spread? It was hard to tell.

That was fun in a monstrous sort of way. Great work!

Little monster's way back to home by BuddaKaeks 2015-08-24T09:31:00

I liked the music, fit the dungeon feel well.
The gravity mechanic is cool, but quite hard to use.
An extra check point might have been nice after the first big climb =)

The contrast made it hard to distinguish walkable space from walls. Intentional I guess?
It was also odd, that I had to jump back and forth over hazards to read the written text. It's a bit jarring.

Fun stuff though! Nice art!

Monstrous Clicker by Nizl 2015-08-24T09:52:00

Funny and Fun!
I got 1:16, "fast clicking person". It would be nice to know how many faster ranks there are, to know what I can aspire to.

You can host it on the web, buy putting everything in your "Public" folder on dropbox (if you have this folder, some accounts don't apparently), right clicking MonstrousClicker.html and selecting "get public link".
Going to that link should allow embedding here.

Did you do the voices yourself? They were pretty awesome.
Consider having a small button to start the next level, since its a clicker game, I always missed the screen between levels.

It feels odd that "score" increases with time, since high score sounds good, but is bad here.

Anyway, good job!

Legendary by marvalgames 2015-08-24T08:45:00

When I click the web link, unity player says:
"Failed to download data file"

Is it in the same folder as the html file? =)

Golbertz Party Sing-A-Long by Franklin's Ghost 2015-08-25T08:42:00

Veeeery creepy. Very well drawn.
I think the ambiguous responses make enough sense. I attributed the wrong doing to myself, so I think it works.

I know the feeling of not getting all the content you want in. Better luck next time, but the mood was well worth it!

Sand Castle Destroyer 2 by MintArcade 2015-08-26T12:15:00

Great use of the theme, a purely monstrous act.
It was very fun. And while it felt slow to run at first, when I got to jumping, you could kind of bunny hop.
Pretty impressive for 4 hours!

Grind'em'ard! by nonetheless 2015-08-24T11:23:00

Really great artwork. It felt very professional.
The music was a little jarring, but kind of cool.
I enjoyed the amusing flavour text.

As others have mentioned, the aiming is pretty hard. Often my targets would cross too fast for me to realistically hit them, and misses were frequent. I'm impressed you got to 50!

Nice work!

Hope by commodoreKid 2015-08-26T11:22:00

The audio was a bit too quiet for me to really hear.
The graphics were beautiful. And it seems like the start of a great story too.

Well done!

You are the munchster! by Fanatrick 2015-08-26T11:59:00

That was pretty hard. Great music though. And the lighting really completed the mood.
Excellent stealth game in just 3 days!

Monster1 by McFood 2015-08-24T09:59:00

Twixtor: Yeah, Unity wasn't the right choice. I had plans to use graphics at some point. Didn't get around to it in the end.

Chromebookbob: Thanks! I'm glad the feel came across =)

Gaga: Thanks for playing, and feedback! I think typing "help" or "network" again might have helped, but I definitely had trouble getting the right hints across in places.

Monster1 by McFood 2015-08-25T08:45:00

Thanks everyone!
I'm glad the console came across well. I haven't played hack run, but I guess I assumed it would be like this. I should check it out.

Sorry for the parts where the story, goals or puzzles are unclear. They were all kind of rushed. But I'll make a note to set the stage a little bit better.

Nizl, that sounds like a bug >.<
I'll take a look.

Monster1 by McFood 2015-08-25T13:48:00

Thanks for the bug reports guys, I think Nizl experienced the same bug. Basically I let the history get too long. I've started trimming it now. So it shouldn't happen again.

Monster1 by McFood 2015-08-26T13:26:00

Thanks for the feedback guys! Yeah, the rich text thing only happened briefly on mine, so I figured it was livable, but I guess it's happening worse than I thought >.<

I will definitely engineer a bit better next time. Writing character by character with rich text was always going to be hacky.

Suicidio Bombardiere by TwixtorTitan 2015-08-24T11:01:00

Cool sound, The game looked really great!
Especially the animations.
Its a pretty dark use of the theme.

I managed to climb on top of people once or twice, then I couldn't fall down or shoot anyone anymore.

Very fun though!

I'm The Goddamn Devil by DDD Wares 2015-08-24T11:29:00

Really brings out my inner 12 year old.
Funny stuff, it felt awesome when shooting in the center, and the beams crossed right at the camera. Fun moments.
I also liked the mish mash of 2D and 3D.

Goon Trip by DarkCart 2015-08-24T12:40:00

I didn't really understand what was going on with the dropping bombs?

Why did things get acidy? Where was the explosion? Why did they only sometimes disappear?

Music would definitely sell the tripping part, and maybe some more direction for the player, so I feel like I earned my trip =P

Monster by Gaga 2015-08-24T11:15:00

You've chosen good categories to score in.
The theming is excellent, very well delivered.
I didn't know why the first person was rude to me, but it quickly sunk in.

It felt like the initial goal was a little far away, making the world feel a bit sparse. But it makes sense now why you would live far away.

Sand Castle Destroyer by Vladik_Plays 2015-08-26T12:48:00

Ahh, The much fabled prequel.
The idea is just as monsterous, but without the music it felt less arcade-like.
One improvement might be to slow down less when you hit castles. It feels a bit like the player is too light, where as you want to feel tough, and mean =D

Great idea, and fun game!

T.H.E.Y by WuPex 2015-08-25T13:38:00

I think I was at the last level? I didn't see any more pigs, but the game didn't end.

Fun stuff, the controls were a bit hard, it wasn't intuitive which way was which. Also falling off in the first level doesn't respawn.
I loved the art style, and pig cannon particles are always great!

Bob B. Bader by Zettelkasten 2015-08-26T12:09:00

I liked the design of Bob, reminds me of Dragon Ball aliens a bit. The music only seemed to play once, but lent an authentic sadness feel to the whole thing. I would have liked to see more feedback when you punch things/people. But otherwise. Nice job!

Sefivn by razieliyo 2015-08-25T14:01:00

Nice type system you build up. I suggest making it more obvious to the player (maybe to borrow from pokemon, super effective, not very effective) Just more hints for when the type system is at work.

I had a little trouble choosing replacement abilities if I was tapping too fast.
Great song, captured the mood 100% of the battle game. Great work!

Dominion by Sypanite 2015-08-26T13:23:00

Interesting idea, and well executed.
You build a lot with little time, with a conversation system, all this art, sound. And interesting game mechanics.

This was fun, great job!

Dream by pixzleone 2015-08-26T12:40:00

This was an interesting concept. But I didn't really feel motivated to be a monster. I didn't feel the character was justified.

It looked great though, and it was presented with such style, the dream sequence at the beginning, the flashing text. All well done I thought.

Good work!

Billy Goat Grub by ChrisFagan 2015-08-26T12:05:00

The hitbox wasn't always perfect. But felt pretty right at the start.

This is the best of this kind of game I've played this Ludum Dare, the targets were just the right level of challenge. The artwork was great! There were goat sounds. Excellent Job!

Village Terrorizer by Flygamer101 2015-08-25T13:23:00

A cool concept, but I wasn't interesting for a long time watching the village grow, and I didn't have enough self control to let them.

I enjoyed that you could choose to be peaceful. But you had to be a monster to progress.

The combat was good, and you did a great job on the graphics. Particles and all!

Really good job making this whole village growing system. It was very well done, and great fun to knock down!

I like the mechanic of unlocking abilities by building the monster.

Some of the first platforms are pretty hard to navigate since there isn't much control in the air.

I only managed to get 2 legs and an arm. But I'm not sure If I was supposed to get the second leg right after the first, or come back later. It was kind of hard to make that jump.

Also the sound doesn't seem to be working for me, the on/off switch doesn't help.

Good Job!

Ladybirds massacre by celisoft 2015-08-24T09:39:00

The music was loud, and the voices were quiet, it was hard to find a good balance.

The game is hard, but it seems mostly because the bug moves fast, and is hard to steer. As a result, it feels more like the game's fault when I lose than my own fault. I think if the steering was easier, but the courses narrower, it would feel more like my fault, while being just as difficult.

Also as Wolar said, its hard to keep track of which way the bait is facing.

Otherwise, this was fun, and had a really creepy mood. Good work!

Impassioned Fowl by Nebulaic Toaster 2015-08-24T11:08:00

Simple gameplay, but so fun.
I laughed a lot. Maximum humor points.

I got 49.
The monster theme felt a bit tacked on, which was funnier anyway.

Honk!

Boss Stomp! by MrDave 2015-08-24T09:12:00

Wow, so fun, looks great.
I think you should wait a second or two to show the level success or failure screen. So we can see the final impact.

Definitely worth playing for the final two levels. They rock.

You should add sound, maybe tighten up the controls a little and publish this one =)

The Next Step by Somnium 2015-08-24T12:24:00

Great execution of a stealth action game in such little time!

It could be a little faster. Controls are a little (just a little) bit clunky.

It might be a bit too easy once you can sense people, and recover so easily.

I got to 61, it was pretty laggy at that point, because I'd mostly been avoiding instead of destroying.

This was a fun idea. and the shield timing felt just right.

Good work!

You Are The Boss by DarkBoulevard 2015-08-29T00:59:00

That felt pretty cool. It really sold the feeling of the old school boss battle from the other perspective.
Controls felt good, but if you finish it up, it might be nice to have a more spammable move, something weak, but something to keep using in the down time.

Great job!

Lifes Decisions by squarepug 2015-08-26T11:36:00

It was a great use of the theme. It felt a little in your face in parts, but the ending text tied it all together well.

Something about the deadly text obstacles seemed off to me. They didn't feel solid or deadly enough at first. And the rhythm needed to stay on the ceiling felt clunky.

Great experience overall!

Just RAAWR it ! by Strike 2015-08-26T11:44:00

Very fun, satisfying little screams. I got 5110. I don't know if that's any good. Great job on your first Ludum Dare! You should have entered in for Humor and Graphics as well I think. Graphics were nice, and Yesterday you said tomoRaawr has got to be worth some stars.

Tales of the Memory Dragon by raducumiczzz 2015-08-25T13:31:00

Looks beautiful, and the music was very relaxing.
I personally would have preferred, faster enemies, with less dragons, but I guess that's because I'm not coordinated enough.

It was also odd how the further bird dies and not the nearer. To the player, it can feel like the controls are less responsive, since we haven't seen the other bird yet =)

The best I got was 42, lots of fun!

Crabs in da Pipe, yo! by Steven Colling 2015-08-24T12:51:00

Looked very polished!
Nice sound effects, good artwork.
I found it difficult to stay alive, but judging by the scoreboard I just suck.
