LD30 — Connected Worlds

Connected Sphere by mess110 2014-08-25T17:48:00

Good fun, very stanley parrable-esque. I'm not sure if it was just short or there was a route I didn't find, but if you have to take the time to think up the rhyme I could guess what would bless your time!
... Did that make sense? Rhyming's hard, yo.

Twinkle by ReddogStone 2014-08-25T22:59:00

I really liked the music.

First Encounter by Ysty 2014-08-25T12:25:00

Cool use of Unity!
Seems more like an excersize in consequence rather than choice but I think a lot of these twine games are like that.
I mean, how come <<spoilers for anyone reading the comments first>> choosing wether or not to talk to a woman at a musiem decides if I'm a robot or not?
Still, I liked the Unity stuff a lot, and I like how the four paths through the game are clear, so you know when you've seen it all.

Going Postal by OxyOxspring 2014-08-25T13:54:00

Wow, really cool! Actually made me chuckle. I liked how the filthy houses were at the arse of the planet.
One little design thing that would be really helpful would be some indication as to which name was which house - there was a few to keep track of so I just clicked them at random to see where the letters would go. That's my only complaint! Hope you guys do well!

A Planetary Guide by Alexander 2014-09-12T15:32:00

Needed to write down the planets and what number was which... Not sure if this main mechanic is difficult or just time consuming to look it up. Could be called educational!

Super Meru-meru lightroad Deluxe by callmemonamiral 2014-08-25T16:16:00

Just played this game with a friend of mine and really enjoyed it! Would love to play with 4 people and more race tracks.

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-08-25T13:11:00

Fun little game. I really enjoyed the feeling of acceleration as you fly through the worlds, though I don't know if that was actually there or if it just felt like it. However the enemies being the same colour as the collectables was a problem.

3 Connected Worlds by technocf 2014-08-25T12:37:00

Seemed like there's a lot there - really liked the random world generation - however I got lost as to how I was supposed to get the gems or what I could actually craft to get very far.

Song of Elements by Sascha 2014-09-11T18:06:00

I liked the floaty writing style making me feel like some kind of conciousness that was unwilling to commit to anything when I kept getting the choice to change my mind. I also liked the use of coloured text to make the 'Connected Worlds' part very obvious.
I don't know if it was just 'a ending' or the ending I got after the longest play through but the ending with 'The End' at the bottom was really cool.

InfiLoop by komjaur 2014-08-25T15:34:00

... Kind of just makes me want to go play antichamber. It is impressive you managed to do all the things they did though, I still have no idea how that works!

Capsule by PaperBlurt 2014-08-25T20:10:00

I love the amount of polish in this, it's really cool. I was also properly reading the story, where for some of the other twine games I found myself skimming through the passages.
I did hit a bug where I kept being swapped over to the original monitor screen, however this might have been cause by me clicking previous page in the web browser...? (using Firefox)
Regardless, I restarted and got to the end, so it wasn't a big problem.

Burger Beat by TrickFishPie 2014-08-27T12:46:00

Cool physics thing when you die that makes it have an impact, however I found it too hard to the level of fustration. High marks on inovation and audio though!

Course Collision by rRootagea 2014-09-12T15:20:00

Sounds and plays like an arcade game or something

The Field by DrPrettyPatty 2014-09-12T15:08:00

Nice art style and animation! Also liked the sound changing between worlds. But tricky doing 3D platforming without the ability to move the camera, but I can see why that wouldn't be a priority when you were too busy making this amazing art!

TwoSides by ftstar 2014-09-12T15:36:00

Cool little quirky game. I liked the main mechanic. With a little more time and polish could could be quite fun.

Labyrinth Challenge by Green Lightning 2014-09-12T15:41:00

Cool little puzzle game! Would be nice if the camera was a bit further out so I could figure out the maze and plot my route without having to stumble around as much. Still good fun though!

Pink Parent by Maxom 2014-09-12T15:16:00

Cool little game, I just wasn't very good at it!

Salvation by 43iscoding 2014-08-25T14:45:00

Wow, really good!
I liked the pixilated art and the sound effects worked well - spacey and didn't get repetitive despite being heard often.
I also like the Motivational Poster style bits at the bottom of each level. Would work well on a touch screen...
Totally expand it for android or something! There are tones of other mechanics that could be added.

BadGameYouShouldNotPlay by thebmxeur 2014-08-25T13:33:00

I got really excited when I got the camera to move!
Cool idea, I feel like it could have worked with a bit more direction as to actually track down the target. I sent the authorities to a tone of planets, but I couldn't get anything to happen.
Could work on that title a bit though.

Save The Core! by rallebauz 2014-08-25T13:43:00

Kinda cool 2D stealth game.
Wish there was a difference in appearance between closed and opened doors, because a couple of times I thought I was hidden when I wasn't.

Generic Space Adventures by Markus 2014-08-25T11:46:00

I really enjoyed it!
It was fun to wander round and see what happened, however I don't know if I just didn't play enough but there didn't seem to be that much variation in the encounter types and all the encounters were fairly short. Regardless, good fun for a few minutes.

Serenity & Passion by Jvdo 2014-08-25T14:19:00

Pretty cool. Ties into the theme very well, which I like. Would be cool as a multi player game to prevent walking down each corridor twice, though obviously that wouldn't make sense to do for the jam. 5/5 on innovation and theme from me.

A Ludic Proof of the Difficulties Inherent in Finding a Proper Skull by JackDegree 2014-08-25T15:17:00

Uhm...
I feel like this needs a bit more explanation as to what you're going for before I could enjoy it.

Inner Self by Cstudios 2014-09-11T17:58:00

Really enjoyed this game. I don't know if it was supposed to be scary, but I felt a growing upsetting feeling in my chest as I played on, as the game made clear what was inevitable but I kept playing on in the hope that, somehow, things would start getting better. The sound is really good as well, with the more suppressive tracks coming in later in the game to really make you feel trapped.

Super PotatoRacer 9000 HD by lampzak 2014-09-11T18:14:00

Clearly a lot of work put into this within the time frame! I like the terrain background in the first 'world'. Turning around corners is quite fun whereas the long straights get a bit boring so it would have been nice if the course was designed with more sharp corners and less holding forward and it's a little frustrating that the A.I. seems to be perfect and therefore unbeatable, however these are more design problems and as a technical feat I am quite impressed.

IGT by cdf121 2014-08-25T13:06:00

There wasn't really much choices. This probably would have worked better as a short story instead of a game. I also don't see why there is a need for so many short passages instead of fewer longer ones when I'm not being given any option to move away from the main line anyway.
However I did like how you worked the theme into the game, since some other Twine games haven't done it so well.

Spaceman Zoom Zoom by g0wen 2014-08-26T10:59:00

Good fun! I liked the modles, and the way the space person was sticking their arms out like they were sonic.

Connected We Run by Sandcrawler 2014-08-25T13:25:00

I like how it looks, although the screen needs to go faster. At the current speed, all you need to keep going forever is some patience and luck. The mirrored jumping works well though and is fun to manurer with.

Crossworld Club by Artamus 2014-09-11T18:20:00

Really nice sound design and artwork! Very cinematic look which I liked. I thought it was a jam entry when I was playing it!

Spirit Shift by RhythmLynx 2014-08-26T10:51:00

Very pretty - I can see a lot of work went into those running animations. It's fun to try and keep track of the world you're about to switch to to make sure you'll actually land on something as a kind of multi-tasking thing.

Mage Hunter by LordYabo 2014-08-25T12:11:00

Very good complete story.
I like how you managed to give the player meaningful choices while still keeping your story character intact.
I got a really bad ending, so I'm going to keep it open in a different and come back to it later.
Was this supposed to be a Jam entry? It says here it's a jam entry but in game it says it's a 48 compo entry. If it is a compo entry you might want to edit your page, if not I missunderstood.

Familiaris by Greg Klein 2014-08-25T12:46:00

I really enjoyed this game! I'm the best wing-animal ever!
I don't really see how it fits in with the theme 'Connected worlds' though. Apart from that, high ratings!
Tempted to play again and do everything to split the two people up, but I think that'd just make me sad more than anything...

In Phase by McFood 2014-08-25T14:03:00

Wow, I thought this was awesome! Being a fan of 2.5D platformers seeing this was really cool! Really cool the way you did your tutorial and story without being in any way intrusive to the gameplay. I felt sad at the end where the two characters had to split paths. High rating from me.

TETHER by datacr4sh 2014-08-25T14:55:00

Awesome! I could play this for days.

TETHER by datacr4sh 2014-08-25T14:56:00

Awesome! I could play this for days.
A few more check points would be nice though. Still getting 5/5!!

The Spectacular Adventures of Billy by InquisitiveGeek 2014-08-25T15:26:00

Mood was great.
NAWT.
Better coding than mine, I guess, however still needs a lot more features before it could really be worth playing.

#Invert! by staarland 2014-08-28T19:56:00

Really liked the tune playing! Was there a goal though? I didn't understand.

Secret Place by MJamesShort 2014-08-25T11:35:00

Weirdly enjoyable. Felt a bit like I was stumbling around in confusion with the other person more than everything. I'm curious to see how many places it goes.

Link by reicha7 2014-08-25T15:49:00

Nice balls. Some might even say they are magnificent. Balls.

Sabotage Will Set Us Free by machine_screen 2014-08-25T14:31:00

I really like the graphics and music of the game, they create a good atmosphere, however the game play is repetitive and a little too easy. Averages out as a three from me.

A New and Beautiful World by TKia_ 2014-08-25T11:26:00

Hey there, I tried to download your game to give it a shot but Crome identifies it as malicious and refuses to keep it so I couldn't. I don't know if other people trying your story have had the same problem or not.
