Norton is screwing me over today, but I don't want to disable it and risk an actual virus :/

Couldn't play it.

Like the graphics and the mood is good, but you can won only holding LMB (I think that attack is linked to mouse_down instead of mouse_pressed)

enrymion 2015-08-24 03:28

I played earlier version and I think that might have caused a problem mainly that I instantly attract an army and infamy seems to be at max.

Agree with Korso, I also use Game Maker, it seems like you missed the "pressed" part of the mouse function! It looks like you just ran out of time though. The mood really feels great, you've got a shop, I can't seem to buy anything or make the eating/goblin button work.

Woops, the left mouse feature was for testing! That's not gameplay, you just let them run into you and you do a little turn-based combat!

please continue working on this!
looks great - I'd love to play a post-compo version

well done :)

A little odd with with the mouse, but i enjoyed the feel and art very much. Would love to to play a sequel or extended version of the game.

That was fun, good job. Loved how you need to surprise your victims

odefus 2015-08-24 16:01

The concept is very nice. I like the idea of being the troll under a bridge and having to prey on the weak to get stronger.

The controls seem to go unresponsive whenever an enemy is walking on the bridge. If it's intentional the UI should probably indicate this in some way.

It seems like the enemies in green clothing can sniff out your location from miles away and will just stand on the other river bank and fire arrows at you regardless if you're hiding or showing. Surely it is a bug and unfortunately it is game ending whenever it happens.

(You need to buy the slingshot to defend yourself from the archer)

odefus 2015-08-24 18:41

I dont think I made enough money to buy the slingshot by then. Perhaps I was too selective with my targets or wasted the money on something else. Oh well!

somfunambulist 2015-08-24 21:41

Amittedly I didnt have a chance to really -play- my game after it was done. All the features work, however balancing is a crapshoot

mcfood 2015-08-25 13:12

The game play could be a bit faster paced I think.
Otherwise, it had a great progression. Lots of features letting you build up your monster filled woods.

Sort of borrowing from Tower Defence and Moba in a way, Its a neat combination. Great work!

Like the graphics and mood

hotboxgames 2015-09-07 19:56

Cool entry!
The graphics are nice and fit well and the gameplay seems well thought out.
goooooood job!

weirdway 2015-09-07 20:06

The action is a little slow paced but I liked the rate you unlocked the different features. Definitely something to build on. Well done!

digiman572 2015-09-10 18:24

I thought this game was pretty cool, feels like it needs a bit more polish but overall it was pretty good. :)
