Also having trouble with running it - will come back and try again when you have it sorted!
Looks like a good start - I wish there was just some dialogue telling me more about what's going on!
I like the idea, but the controls drove me a bit mad - It would have felt so much more natural using the arrows or wasd. Good stuff though! I'm scared to learn where the splat sound effect came from!
Very cool, and well put together! I did manage to fall off this little world, but when I started it back up I did some quests and things :D
Lol!
Very cute - I wish I could have squashed her though!
Really great game - loved the graphics and audio -- couldn't get the shop going myself but I'm sure it's splendid :D
I like it, some sweet forest feely music really woulda made it great though!
This is the best I've played yet (of 7 or so) which says something. I loved it! Even after I got the meat I went back just to explore. Great job!
All in all, a great game! The controls were a bit awkward but I suppose simple controls might make the game too easy? Good entry!
Awesome little point and click. No real "Gameplay" but it was a nice little interactive story!
Neat little game - I like the use of cyan - and stairs!
Really great submission! Really creative!
Agree with Korso, I also use Game Maker, it seems like you missed the "pressed" part of the mouse function! It looks like you just ran out of time though. The mood really feels great, you've got a shop, I can't seem to buy anything or make the eating/goblin button work.
I didn't really feel like a monster, with a leveling system and some perks it really would have felt better!
Really good game - fun, random stuff happening, lots of thought went into it. Good job!
This was really well put together, and actually my highest rated Jam submission! Awesome game!
Neat little diddy you have, I wish there was more to it though! Like health pick ups or something!
Nice game - loved the graphics.
Neat idea - a bit confusing, and I think I killed children. Nice game!
Very simple, wish there was a bit more to it though!
That's the best score I've given so far - I'm not sure if there's a way to life the curse but it was fun getting into that city and killing some people! The music was good, set the mood, and kept with the style of game.
Very original, the theme isn't there though!
Some nice ambient noise could have really set the mood - great story though :D
Neat game, loved that it supported 4 players. Graphics were also cute :D
Really liked it, very nostalgic
This game would have done a bit better with some sound, or a plot! I just didn't feel it. It was oddly satisfying to see those buildings come apart though.
Very neat! I when you die though the music start to play on top of the music that is already playing - fix that with
if !audio_is_playing(song){
audio_play_sound(song,0,1)
}
Other than that, it was fantastic! Pictures were pretty, felt like battletoads meets my toaster :D
Neat little game - it felt like you were the boss from a classic zelda game or something!
Really nice game - well put together. Music set the mood, sounds were all great; art was awesome too!
Great submission, loved the model and the animation, the sword dragging in the sand was a nice touch.
Very odd - I can see you said DNF but it was a good start - maybe in the fridge could have been a bunch of little humans or something :D Better luck next year!
Loved it overall - Really well put together!
Really cool! The space bar function was intuitive, didn't read the controls before I started and there was actually a speed ability there. Awesome!
Very cool gravity effects! I am a monster!
I got to the bazooka and it crashed - It was a very neat concept though!
That creepy music really set the mood - great work.
One of the best submissions overall - awesome game!
Awesome submission!
That hit me right in the feels! I thought it was oddly similar to the idea of "friendship" that my own compo submission had, until I got to the end. Great game!
I liked it, the style was really reminiscent of my SNES years. Even the sounds matched. It was a great start!
Really neat - loved the retro look and sounds; it all blended well.
Pretty neat little physics box, felt like it had an artistic angle. Very cool!
Great game! Loved lining up the guys and bowling em down :P
Nice entry - controls were really smooth and the idea behind it was really cool :D
Great entry, the sounds really set the mood. Loved the graphics, I feel like it was a bit too well lit though, night time was nice :P
The pace was just a bit too slow for me! Neat submission though :D
Could have used some dialogue! I liked the difficulty curve - the shop was a great idea.
Neat game - It seemed a bit slow paced though for a platormer! Loved the graphics!
Very cool idea, it has a lot of potential!
I think it was a great start! Good mechanics plus some solid level generation
Good start! The music was nice and after a short time I really got into it.
Pretty neat! Great graphics.
Very cool idea, great concept!
Good entry, loved the graphics and music
Nice overall - loved the song and noises :D
Good stuff - Hopefully real aliens aren't so vile!
I liked the music, I didn't like dying! Good start!
Good stuff! I kept backing myself into a corner when the guys would drop the flashlights :D
Took me a minute to get the spacebar thing but after I figured it out I was really giving it to those sailors!
Really freakin cool - the heads switching colours like that was a big brain-funker; i was looking left then right left right. Good submission.
I can't seem to download the windows file, looks good though.
Great entry - loved the music and graphics.
Good stuff!
Love it! Great model for a trex, nice sounds, and it was so satisfying to squish people - it honestly felt like a 3d version of my own entry :D Great work!
110 Killed - Satisfying! Loved the blood, cool colour pallet!
The sounds were pretty great too - the music really set the mood. Good stuff!
Doug: "Hey Jane, lets go play in the field where the bombs are dropping!"
Jane: "Yeah Doug! Heard there's a giant eye worm thing, that would be great to check out!"
I think with some sounds or music it would have 'felt' better, but it was a pretty neat concept. The art was also bangin!
Great game, really tough though!
Great little match-em game, really great entry!
Interesting!
The music sounded like the ghost tower from pokemon to me - it was really innovative though. Great use of both themes.
Interesting, but you basically need the reaction time of a cat on lsd to get very far!
Cool entry, love the binary stuff. The handwritten notes were great too!
An interesting entry, a lot different from the rest!
A very neat idea, the music was very soothing :D
Really great entry, graphics, music and sound all came together nicely.
Interesting, the controls were definitely creative for 2 button controls.
Would have loved some sound, but this was pretty cool! Great entry.
Very neat, but I had no idea what was going on!
The music was simple, but I enjoyed it. As for the gameplay, I had no idea what was happening. Dogs were coming from the right, guys with spears from the left? Very interesting!
I only ungrew!
A very well rounded entry, it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on though. I'm always fascinated with little people doing little people things hahaha
Being a firefighter myself, this game was unnerving! Very interesting though, loved the minimap view uptop and the silly firefighter ai - a great unique entry!
I've never been struck by an axe, but this little boy leads me to believe it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would. Good entry!
Very cool, surprisingly not the only game using binary input.
The walls got pretty sticky, but it was an interesting entry!
Good entry, it was a lot to deal with as a single player!
Awesome entry, something about collecting little things like the gold is always satisfying.
Neat little game, very unique take on the tower defense!
Amazing! All around awesome entry, great use of both themes.
Great practice for your next Jam!
Really well put together and smooth!
Really awesome!
Neat game! Got a crash/freeze after about 380 score? But otherwise it was really great!
Very cool!
Very cute, love the colours and style!
A great start to a game, it was a little cheesy but with a bit of polishing it could be great :)
Very cool and really well done! Loved the audio and the art most.
Art was great, really cute game all together. Good job!
I love the graphics! Very fun to play!
Well I'm glad I got my sick hat :)
I like how moist liam looked. Hilarious game!
Really well put together, great art - a bit of music would have really set the mood! Awesome submission!
Probably one of my top rated games from the LD - awesome! Art and music was great, I played it for 15 mins or so - really great :P hail grandma.
Very cool, took me a minute to figure out how to assign doctors but I should learn to read more haha!
A really original idea, definitely hard though! I did manage to get a hospital in thought haha
Really neat take on the them, something about those faces made me think of the show southpark though lol
Very cool, I loved running into the sheep for a jump boost hahaha
@shulgaboy lol! Thanks for playing!
@jakobthequizguy thank you for playing! When i was making it I kept feeling like I wasted a lot of time just watching people get burned hahah
@myfriendtames looks like you almost had him! I've never actually been able to beat it myself lol thanks for playing!
@fat-cat thank you! I love making little village simulations so this was a lot of fun. I just wish I had more time- I think I started 16 hours in :(
@fat-cat Thanks! I don't think I'll do much with it after this contest - it was a fun concept but I think I will work on other endeavors!
@jhell thank you! I think with a bit more time I could have had building placement but I was very pressed for time, I started 16 hours late! Thank you for playing :D
@wizard-exe I've thought up some simple solutions to the pathing now, but it is all so primative - the units literally just look for a spot and slap a building - then attempt to run to a spot they randomly choose. If they can't reach the spot they will time out after roughly 10 seconds, sometimes more or less lol so you'll see them running circles like crazies! Thank you for playing :D
@slashee-the-cow I really tried to keep it simple but fun! I spent a lot of time just watching the villages get destroyed ahahah thank you for playing :D
@nakami Thank you!
@vethergen Thank you :D @madjackmcmad Thanks! I really tried to keep the scope small - mostly because I started 16 hours in! I love little village builders so making this was really fun! @one-seed-fruit Thank you! I feel like there could be a lot more to it, but because I wanted to finish it as it was, I didn't do anything like prolonging the demons, giving them more hp then making all buildings upgrade-able! Next LD hopefully I don't have to work haha @C1FR1 I have a solution to the units getting stuck now - but I wish I would have come up with it sooner. Some of them get stuck inside of the wall and some just get stuck between buildings where there's no exit. Maybe if I do pursue this I would solve all those issues and make the game a bit more challenging! I still am yet to kill Satan lol good work! @pelicanodepico thank you! I love the minimal style art, it helped me keep the scope of the game small! @conrad123 Thanks for playing, and for the input! I questioned a scoring system myself, but it was the last day with 6 hours to go - so I just gave the knights kill counts, and they could level up if they got 3 kills or 2 kills I can't remember right now! I may try to polish it up and add somethings just to have a final version :P @luis-giron I wish I would have fixed the units getting stuck! It seems like it was bothersome haha, if I finish this up I will definitely solve that problem :P Thanks for playing!
@beelzeboss Thank you! I may try to turn this into something bigger - I definitely spent a lot of time just watching the village get built and blown down though ahha thanks for playing :D
@cdunham Thank you for playing it! I wanted it to feel more like an RTS with some unit selection but I got worried that it would be too ambitious and I played it right because I was time crunched!
@blodyavenger I wish I had set it up so there was a bit more room between buildings - that was the problem with those pesky kids. Thank you for playing!
@mikethewayne Thank you so much for all the feedback! I really had a lot of fun playing and making the game - but I think I played more than made lol! I have a solution for the AI now but I'll have to wait till the holidays are done to fix it all. Thanks for playing :D
@folex70 Thank you for the feedback! There are so many little details I'd love to add to make it seem more alive. Thank you for playing :D
@stan-fan thanks for playing!
@jacquouille I'm glad you had so much fun! I had a lot of fun making it, and playing it while I made it lol. The soldier did level up to level 3! I think Level 2 did 3 damage, and level 3 did 5 damage to enemies. The title screen music I was worried that it would get repetitive and annoying, but also it would overpower some of the sound effects so I cut it from playing throughout. Thank you so much for playing!
@hilvon Thanks for playing! It's funny you found that outside map spawn - I had it happen to me one time and I think it's from too many buildings being close to the hole, but no one else seems to have had it happen until now :D There were definitely some pathing issues but in the new version I'm creating I've hopefully eliminated that :P
Very cool game, like blobo said though it was easy enough to exploit your levels! It was still pretty fun :P
I liked basically everything about it, it was a great 287 seconds :D
Very neat game, got a little repetitive but it fit the theme :D
Very cool fps! The ghosts were pretty spooky haha
Tough to jump into but it was very impressive for a jam game!
This game was really well put together. I'm not usually a big tetris fan but this was a really great take on it. Awesome submission!
Nice game, I only had to die 43 times to get to the end :)
Very cool simulation, great little 3d objects too :P
It's a great start - with a bit of a story and a few more levels it could be an experience :P
Some music could have really helped the mood, but it seemed like a well thought out little rpg :D
A neat concept, the flying took me a few tries to get though!
Very cool start, art was very creative!
Very cool, loved the artwork - great submission :D
Really enjoyed it, very witty and well put together!
Love the little bongo dudes! Cool game, great use of the theme :D
Awesome submission, great take on the theme :)
Very cool art, a nice little game!
I may have spent too much time here - but it was satisfying haha great game! citygame.gif
Lol very good start! I liked the dialogue and it was a good use of the theme :)
Awesome game, the last level took me a couple tries but I managed! The thud when you stabbed was unnerving lol great game!
Very cool, I like the pick up and drop mechanic :P Well done for 48 hours!
It took me a few minutes to get a hold of those controls - very cool submission!
Very well done! I managed to survive the last level with 5 hearts, very tough!
Great art, and a good start to a tower defense game :)
I like it! With some music and some animation this would be a great final product. For a jam game I am impressed :D
Really great use of the them, very tough game though :P
Really simple but I enjoyed playing, awesome use of the theme :D
Really neat game! The graphics were all super cute too :P
Cool concept and really cute art :)
Very cool! Awesome animation!
Very cool use of the theme, it was a great start!
Very cute, I did just stand there by the throne though and blast those jerks away ;)
Nice submission :)
@rob1221dev My only thought would be you might have a controller plugged in and it is defaulting to that - sorry! Thank you for trying.
@josh-galecki Thanks for playing! You are right with the sword thing - i wanted to get the player to battle and all that but the time constraints on top of real life stuff this weekend got in the way!
@ogre Lol this guys family was murdered and he killed himself - but I didn't have enough time to convey all of that. It's a bit dark though, so maybe for the best hahaah
@bocodillo Thank you for playing! The walk was a bit of a pain - I almost redid the first level because of that but I ran out of time!
@stefanie-leitch thanks for playing! I was pretty crunched for time - and the end felt pretty rushed. I did make sure to add the "the end" text though because I was sure people were gonna say "is it over?" haha
@brice-mahier @lanalux @cantthinkofname Thank you :D
@khaotom Thank you! How could someone not be happy finding a sweet new bod?!
@hajden Thank you for all the feedback! It echo's all the doubts I had posting it lol! With the time constraints I got a bit done but I wish I had a bit more time :P Thanks for playing!
@maximbegunov thank you for playing! I purposely made the sound for the ghost attack loud hahaah I'm glad it worked! :P
@karyna His family :( :( Thank you so much for playing :)
@rayne Thank you for playing, the ghost sound effect was my favorite part - when it gets you haha!
@rob1221dev thank you for giving it another go - in my control scheme I forgot to link space bar to anything on the controller! Hopefully you enjoyed it though ahha
@lombax I really wanted to do a bit more with this - the initial plan was to find flesh and slowly become human again - but then I realized that's a lot of sprites to draw and a lot of logic to make it happen haha! Thank you so much for playing :D
@hwaet thank you for playing! I was worried the bounding box would be troublesome - the skeleton should have been a bit smaller :P I have young children also. I suppose that's why I do a game like this though, I know it makes me emotional to think about tragedy and I want to make people feel :P
Thank you for playing! I'll admit I did mean to make the dying sound outrageously loud lol I wanted to scare people! The skeleton bound box should have been smaller also. The ghosts dying was supposed to be a "spririt world" to the "Physical world" transition but I didn't have time to make it really effective, maybe some sort of hazy vignette. Lol it was an abrupt ending though, I think I bit off a lot more than I could chew in one weekend. Thank you for playing! Your thorough review is basically all the things I was worried about as I made it :P
@maxdmg thank you! The collisions seem to be a common qualm - I'll make sure to be more careful in my next jam :P
@suchista Thank you for playing :D
@dqmhose thank you :D
@djindegames thank you!
If this doesn't take the graphics category I'd be shocked. Very good entry!@
Fun! Some music really would have set the mood but it was well put together!
victory.png
A lot of fun, very well put together. Very polished!
Sorry it's telling me no unityplayer.dll
Enjoyed!
Very fun!
Very cool, loved the little animated dudes :)
Great graphics, and nice little puzzles!
Very neat game, the music gave it a nintendo 64 vibe :P
Neat little submission :D
Love the graphics!
Love the cute graphics, neat concept with the portals and mirrors and such. Great submission!
Very cool! The cat heads (I think it's a cat hahaha) they were a great touch!
Fun little game! I like that the arrows blasted through the enemies :P
Loved the music and the art, good submission!
Unique take on the theme, great submission :D
The music is awesome! A very good submission - if I had friends it would be even more fun :P
Very cool concept, the monster noises were on point :P
Very cute game, they kept running away!
That's basically how I would imagine Mars would sound. Really set the mood, all around very enjoyable!
Very unique - like the off-brand No Man's Sky!
Lol it was a bit of a grind, but I managed to purchase 3 levels - level 2 was hard so i never saw the third haha. Very well put together!
That is a great take on the theme. Very smooth, well put together!
Very good for a first time around!
Cool concept, it's a really good start!
Not sure where the theme fit in but good attempt at a game!
Very atmospheric - I found all the things but then couldn't figure out what to do with the bird (until I watched your video). I like that the music was coming from it, it all felt so dream/space like.
Took me 7:32 but I did it! Very clever mechanics, peaceful music, great *thud* noise on the barrel :P Good submission!
Very classic, and well put together. I couldn't find my way out of the first area - but it felt great, like a classic gameboy game :)
@khaotom it's the least we can do!
@chironyx Thank you so much for playing! I hope the save system kept you in your spot in the dungeon :D I thought that maybe the coins were too slow to attract - I'll have to keep that in mind for next time, thank you so much for playing :D
@swordfish Thank you for playing! After lvl 20 there are rocks that appear that the iron pick can break - and the loot is much more desirable! Somewhere between floor 50 and 60 you'll get that 100,000 but honestly it is a bit out here haha.
@nigeynige Thank you for playing! I was considering adding a speed upgrade (and another upgrade to equipment) but I got pressed for time :P
Thank you for the feedback! I also found it a bit annoying to swap the weapons - I wish I had thought of a battle pickaxe at the time! Thank you for playing :)
@plazyqwerty Thank you so much! It does take a bit of grinding - I had a ton of ideas to make it better but the time restraints were tough lol!
@chensu Thank you :)
@linky439 thank you for playing and for the feedback - I was genuinely shocked to see that people actually made it to the $100,000 goal on my twitter :P
@yamzho I can imagine! I'm sorry for that inconvenience - I did consider controller support but time was a factor :P
@jj2oo2 thank you for the feedback! The enemy's were VERY basic lol they basically make their way to you and if they are within range - hit you. With more time I may have given them a "tell" to let the player know when the attack was coming :p
@gilborn lol he is such a quack - you gotta be careful in those dungeons!
@timbertoes thank you for the feedback! I reaallly tried to pack as much as I could into it without running out of time lol
@thewinrawr Thank you for the feedback! Next time around I really need to get testers lol! Even if it's my own kids - those little things do get annoying over the course of making $100,000 haha
@kirbloid Thank you for playing! I initially made it $1,000,000 lol! I really hoped $100,000 was the middle ground between too long and not long enough :P
@andrewaprice Thank you so much for the feed back and kind words! I bit off more than I could chew for this game lol! The features stop after floor 20 unfortunately so it gets pretty repetitive. Thank you for playing!
@100th-coin thank you for playing! I initially had the cost at $1,000,000 for the cure but I hoped that $100,000 was a bit more realistic. I'm glad to see a few people actually played it through! After floor 20 the new things popping up just stops - The demons were the last things to appear. A bit more planning next time and hopefully I can make it consistent though the whole game :P Thank you again!
Great entry, as far as infinite runners/ fallers go - it was very good for 48 hrs :)
Really cool game, and it looked really good too! My time was 4:36 - I sort of just rode the pizza guy straight down ahaha I only collected 24 gold bits :P
Awesome entry! I tried for a solid 20 mins and couldn't get it! The sounds were great and the art was spot on :)
Very cool, it gives me Earthbound vibes :P
Great take on the theme lol I'm glad you included respawn points - great entry!
I tried like 30 times and I couldn't beat it - also what the crap did I just play? It was hilarious and original and I think I was a horse? Shooting a mine cart with lasers? Brrrrrrrrrrr
Great entry, everything came together really well :) I'm just glad I remembered my saber when I fell off of the cruise ship lol!
Good fun! I loved the idea, and brilliant pixel art :)
This was great, it is very challenging - perhaps the falling was too fast for me but it all came together really well! Great entry!
Nice game and some creative puzzle action!
I liked it! It really was just a bit of waiting and watching - but I'm sort of a sucker for that type of game ahah! Good entry :)
Great mood, great audio, great art - not generally my cup of tea for a game BUT it is a fairly polished gem :)
Great game! I got to the second fire and then a little bit further after dying 20 times or so. It was fun, I loved the spooky mood - you could definitely expand this into a full fledged game, it felt great!
Not my typical genre - but once I figured out the asterisks beside their names were health - it all made sense! Awesome game, great use of the theme :)
Neat concept! I wasn't able to find the exit but I tried a few times anyway :P
Very cool game - I managed to get to the princess and then got my head stuck in the roof before I talked to her >.< Very neat entry :)
Really cool game, those tiny fish were annoying lol but blasting them was fun :)
The itch link seems to be broken :(
This is awesome, I was impressed with how many levels you actually had - well I died by the dude that freezes time - but it was great! If there was a checkpoint I would have gone back to try again!
Very cool! The 1v1 at the end was tough though lol I lost 4-5!
Loved the music and art!
Very neat! It took me a few deaths to realize I could move though lol!
Really cool! A neat use of the theme. I am at a disadvantage because I had no one to play with lol but I got a good idea - awesome entry!
Awesome use of the theme, very cool rhythm idea.
Great use of the theme. I did have trouble figuring it out though!
I like it! This feels like it could be a neat little app or something. I wound up running out of money and seeds but it's a great game for the jam :)
Awesome idea - I started off wanting to do a math games but I couldn't come up with a second theme to work with it!
@prv thank you :)
Thanks @Meoanar ! I appreciate the feedback. The real challenge was after you beat the boss doing it again in challenge mode! I'm going to try your game next :)
@schsam Thanks for the feedback! Pressing X on the controller (blue I think) didn't shoot? Very odd!
@schsam no lie, I just played your game for 15 minutes straight ahahah! It is awesome :)
@Alans-Antics Thank you! I really should have centered that camera, but it definitely works in your favor just as it works against you lol! Thank you for the feedback :)
@gonutz sorry! I didn't realize it but apparently I can publish to Ubuntu - which I've never done before nor do I have anyway to test it. When I get home I will try to publish it and then you can let me know if it worked!
@gonutz After looking at what I need to do to set up Ubuntu - it looks like way to much of a hassle sorry!
@radow Thanks for the feedback! When I'm working with games I always find dialogue to be a pain my bottom area. I think with a bit more time I could have made it go faster, or press space to skip to the end - I'll remember that for the next time :)
@microwerx thank you! That means a lot to me, honestly!
@kr4ft3r Thank you! I really tried to pack as much as I could into the game. Working with the letters as characters - not some complex animation of a character - saved me some time in this project. I feel like I used that time to work on some of the finer things :)
@tajamsoft Thank you! The CRT would be very cool, and I may just try it when I get some time to myself! I definitely saved some time with the basic AI - you nailed it on the head, they just walk toward you and avoid anything in their way. If I had to change something in the future I would make some try to avoid bullets and others larger and more HP, maybe like special units! Thanks for playing :)
@mrPenguin thank you :)
@acoto87 Thank you! I'm glad someone got to the challenge mode, and weapon 4 is definitely OP bahaha. Thanks for playing!
@theprint Thank you! I think if I made it a Jam game I could have probably had 10 levels :P
@candlesan I appreciate the feedback! Weapon 4 was fun and at the beginning I had 10 to start - but if you saved up 4 or more you could beat the last boss no problem!
@joqlepecheur If there's an opprotunity to put a penis in a game, I will take it lol! But thank you for the feed back, I never considered a non qwerty keyboard, the controller support was sort of last minute (last 120 minutes really), different colour ammo is a great idea! I'll remember that for the next jam :)
@Olivier-Millochau Thanks for the feedback! I've done music for a few jams with another tool - but this time around I used Beepbox (https://www.beepbox.co/) it was a solid tool for quick little diddys. I even tried to make the cave song feel like a cave ahha. The bullets were very small - I agree. I didn't consider how annoying it really could be but I absolutely see your point. Thanks for playing :)
@MiltonNH25 Thank you! I've always been a bit of a text noob - but next time I will make sure it's more user friendly. I really made no attempt to show the exit and it wasn't a thought for me, but now I know!
@C1FR1 Yes that little blip of a wall! I really thought I was going to get away with it too lol. I changed the background image at some point then forgot to change the barrier. Those Coins, the "power nodes" they all reduce his hp by about 25% and the last one brings him to 12.5% of the original hp. The dialogue is a weakness for me, I'll keep that in mind so you don't have to wait it out to see the full message. Thank you for playing it through, enjoy the pidda! :)
@Diego_Escalante thank you for playing it through! I don't have a lot of experience making "bosses" so it was fun to make a simple one :)
@Jimbly Thanks! I was really hoping no one would find that invisible wall! I edited the background and managed to forget that barrier lol. I never made an obvious "full hearts" measurement but to me it sounds like you had full hearts - 10 if I remember correctly. Next time I'll make that detail a bit more obvious, like empty heart containers when hurt. The AI was fairly basic - run at the player and avoid everything else, so they would try to avoid bullets if encountered while running. They would also go to place last seen if you ran out of their range. I'm not a great ai programmer but it was fun to come up with a way that they could intelligently follow you! Thank you for the feedback :)
@AlejandrodeCea Thanks for playing! All those funky towers you blew up made Z that much easier! He's a bit of a challenge without knocking them down though lol. Thanks for the feedback, we'll make you vice president of the Debras :D
@bryyrt thank you! I am considering making a couple tweaks and throwing it on steam for 2$ lol. I don't know that I'll make the 100$ back for submitting but it would be a good experience for when I submit a real game :P
@TheMonsterFromTheDeep thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it, I took a chance with the whole "text based" thing. I was really hoping it came off well, and not like a work around to the horrible theme lol. That rocket is definitely over powered! I didn't consider a cool down, I did really like that it was a horribly dangerous weapon to get shot by - but it is sort of disheartening to get one shot with the 10+ bullet spatter! Thank you for all the pointers, I will keep it in mind for the next LD :)
@Ratherjolly thanks for playing! I hope you enjoyed it :)
@ecmjohnson thank you for the feedback! This was actually a compo game! I did use the submission hour though to get rid of a couple bugs I missed while making it. Unfortunately I didn't have my Chronolapse configured on my new pc for a timelapse - but here's my youtube to see some of my older timelapses https://www.youtube.com/user/Pvaatn/videos!
The tower s you destroyed reduce his health by 25% each for the first 3 and then 12.5% for the last one so if you managed to get them all then the boss was very much weakened :P Those rockets are very overpowered!
@irwatts Thank you for playing! For the music I used https://www.beepbox.co/ for the first time, it was a really easy to use tool so I was able to make a song for every screen you would transition to. The sounds were all pretty primitive lol I used https://www.bfxr.net/. I really wasn't picky as long as the sound sort of fit :P
@csanyk Thank you for the feedback. My initial controls were twinstick - but my testers just couldn't figure out how to move and shoot (my 5 and 7 year olds lol) so I changed it up so they could figure it out. The music was definitely basic. I used https://www.beepbox.co/ to make all the tunes fairly quickly. I will take these into consideration for next jam :)
This was awesome. The graphics were top notch and so were the game mechanics! Great work!
I can't do 3d but I feel like if I could, those shapes would be the extent of my modelling capability!
Very tough but great concept!
I've seen a couple other games try the 2d to 3d thing but not this well. I really liked it!
Very good effort! Very funny, and all in 7 hours? Nice work!
Very addictive - I got all but the last level of trophy, because come on! 25000??? Lol but it was really good, there was always something to keep me interested! One of the highest rated for me :)
Holy heck those birds - I couldn't manage to get past them >:(
Very cool, genuinely fun!
Love the music, very cool game!
I had much more fun than i expected! Very neat game!
Now that is innovative. Awesome game!
Very clever, for a 72 hour game it has a lot of detail!
Very cool submission :)
This was fun play through! Normally, the music would set the mood - but I actually honestly loved the commentary and the explanation of what's going on! I have no friends so I just played 2 players at once, but I managed to get all the flowers, awesome game :)
The sounds were great. It was very satisfying to run those guys down.
It's like jello and tetris! Nice game!
Awesome game! The graphics were great, animations were smooth, gameplay was great - a bit confusing at first with the blood cards but I beat the black bird!
Neat little game! It was very tough to get ahead :)
Love village builders. This is impressive for the compo!
Really well done! I can't think of a criticism - but the red squares definitely did not heal me >:(
That was cool! I like how you used all the submitted info. I apologize for mine in advance :)
Well i got to the grey guy on normal. I like that there's different difficulties, very cool concept!
Sound Effects were really fitting and I loved the art, awesome work!
A cool little game! I liked that you used the 3d and 2d :)
Very cool! Took me a second to figure out I could fight these guys haha!
Very cool idea. I had to come back to read that I could do things manually! I was walking the plank like it was my job!
This is great - I will admit I didn't get to the end but I got a good enough feel for it. Awesome concept, I liked the art, sound, and it was a good take at the theme!
Other than the click spamming it was really a great idea!
Loved the sound and graphics. Had to play by myself but it was really well put together :)
Very cool! The art was "smashing" and the game was just really appealing in general :)
Love the graphics!
You did your best and showed us the product! The art was great, the song in the background wasn't awful - I think it was a great attempt!
I can't say I made a whole line but I did blow up a lot of blocks :P
Well I stopped them 2 times, then they got gridlocked and didn't move - so I guess I win!
It took me a sec to figure it out but that was a really cool idea. Great use of the theme. Sounds were also good, music was very fitting!
Lol this is why lance armstrong lost a testicle!
Cool idea! The sound effects were spot on :)
Really liked the music, the game was super hard though lol. I couldn't get past the long spike pit! Good stuff!
Love it! Hahah I was half expecting that Jackass was the type of human I was going to be but I finally beat snark sim 9000!
I'm going to be honest, I played it for a solid 40 minutes. Wave 11, fought the blue guy. It was fun, I think I kept playing just because I wanted to say I beat it. A few little glitchy things going on but there was a lot of content for a 72 hour game! Good stuff!
Neat concept! I couldn't win for the life of me!
Very neat. Great art and sound.
Neat idea! I like the little dancing dudes :P
It was very neat for what it was, I got to wave 8 then went out and got lost ahha
I played this way longer than I'm willing to admit. Very awesome!
If my wife didn't get mad for how loud my clicks were I would have played for 20 minutes. Those poor hungry cats that I "recycled" haha
Neat concept! Those space invaders are annoying as heck!
Very neat - love the graphics!
Really cool! Loved the graphics!
The game link appears to be broken!
