LD39 — Running out of Power

Power Levels by alexander0153 2017-08-01T07:45:54Z

Very solid game. The art is on point for this game and the music fits really well. The controls took a bit to get used to but work well with the game. I would recommend adding a timer for how long you were alive or a tracker to how many ships you destroyed to give more purpose to the game. Overall I really enjoyed the game.

Recoil - Mike Said No Short Titles by Cynical Monkey 2017-08-01T08:28:58Z

I enjoyed the game. I like the more unique take on the wire connecting game and it worked well. I felt the difficulty scaled nicely over time and the random levels made it interesting every time. Good job with it.

Flip The Switch by madalaski 2017-08-01T17:43:46Z

Good job with the game. It was a bit difficult to figure out what was going on at first, but once you got it, it was fun to play.

Inferno by Megalink 2017-08-02T20:48:09Z

Good job with the game. It was fun to play, the hit sounds were satisfying and the music was rocking. I enjoyed the variety of weapons and found myself liking the crossbow the best. One thing I would suggest is making some of the UI, especially the weapon select, a bit smaller so it is easier to see what is going on.

INVISIBRO by FisherGoodwin 2017-08-02T08:48:38Z

Good job on the game. The concept was interesting and really well done. The art was spot on and looks nice. Game play wise, I felt the movement was a bit too sensitive which made some of the more precise jumps difficult to do. Overall, it was fun to play and I had a good time with it.

BATTER-E by Peredom 2017-08-01T05:57:10Z

Good job with the game. It felt very satisfying to play and made great use of the theme. The guns felt very nice to use. I would love to see this game continued in the future.

As far as things to improve the game for the future, i feel making the enemies more threatening would help since they didn't pose much of a threat, especially with how absurd your shoots become later :).

Asteroids by MianaGames 2017-08-01T16:38:06Z

Good job with the game. I enjoyed your use of the power mechanic , and the fact it was based only on your actions rather than just being a bar that slowly depletes over time. There were some good retro vibes with the art and music that made this game come together nicely. The ship can be a bit difficult to control but it is fun none the less.

Power Knight by thomz12 2017-08-01T06:34:21Z

I enjoyed the game. It felt satisfying to play and I wish there was more. I enjoyed the art style and the sound effects worked well. I would recommend going back and looking through the introduction text since some of the phrasing was awkward and there were a few mistakes. Overall good job.

Power Ring Facility by Herman Chau 2017-08-01T06:23:09Z

Overall a good game. I really enjoyed the jump mechanic and felt satisfying to use. I feel like the very glidey horizontal movement was holding this game back a bit since some of the jumps are pretty precise. Lastly I felt the clean and simple art worked very well for the game. Good job with it.

PowrConnectr by JOrbits 2017-08-01T16:24:20Z

Good job with the game. I enjoyed the puzzles, the levels were well made, and the graphics were sharp. One thing i would suggest is more of an indicator to which tiles you can not move; it took me a bit to realize they were not the colored ones they move together and instead there own thing. Overall, nicely done.

Orcs in Space by atridas 2017-08-02T19:47:52Z

Good job with the game. It was fun to play and the art worked well with it. As others suggested being able to q commands would be very helpful. Overall nice game.

Fading Light by RockhopperGames 2017-08-01T09:22:44Z

I felt like this had a lot of potential had you had more time to finish it. It captures the slowly fading away feel surprising well considering it didn't have audio to back it up. For what it is, it does a god job and I would have loved to see it in a more complete state.

Bulbino's Quest! by alpenter 2017-08-02T21:16:13Z

Good job with the game. I had a lot of fun playing it. the difficulty scaling was pretty well done and gets pretty challenging near the end. The enemy hitbox the the bullets felt a little weird at times since it felt like it would sometimes just pass through the enemies. Overall great game though.

Battery Life by justinooncx 2017-08-01T17:20:51Z

Great job with this game. I really like the take on the theme and it creates some interesting game play. The graphics were very nice and i loved the music for it. Solid and fun game.

Diamond Lattice by svntax 2017-08-01T08:11:34Z

Overall good game. I enjoyed the balance of trying to get more energy while slowing connecting the diamonds. I also liked the scaling of energy for tiles that are further away. I would recommend adding the cancel to the right mouse button so it feels a bit smoother. Good job with it.

Snake out of Power by Anno 2017-08-01T07:12:57Z

For what it is, it is well done. It plays well and battery mechanic added a nice twist to the classic game. For spending such a small amount of time, it felt clean and you did a good job with it. Also, I enjoy the fact you can still play while its dark in the hopes of running into the battery.

Power Earth Saver by wwwhizz 2017-08-01T07:26:11Z

I enjoyed playing this game. You made great use of the theme and the concept as a whole was really solid. The one issue I had is the moving background makes it a bit difficult to see the bullets when glancing back and forth between the power bars and the screen. Overall though you did a good job with it.

Wires and Robots by MiltonNH25 2017-08-02T10:01:21Z

Thank you everyone for all of your feedback. I really appreciate it. Here is the postmortem I did for anyone that is interested https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/wires-and-robots/wires-and-robots-postmortem

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-01T09:49:39Z

This is definitely the most interesting game that I have played so far in this jam and I enjoyed it. It was a very creative story and I appreciated some of the 4th wall breaks :p. I am not sure words can truly describe the graphics but they worked well. Good job with it.

Pathfinder by Invixel 2017-08-01T09:03:35Z

Great job with this game. The concept worked nicely and the levels were really well made. The "dance" you had to do around enemies felt very satisfying. I wish there were more levels because they were fun to play.

The Quest for the Mighty Battery Charger by Solah 2017-08-01T17:53:48Z

Good job with the game. It felt nice to control, the boss was cool, and you did a good job getting that retro vibe. I wish there were more levels to this game but what you have is pretty solid.

Power House by OmnipotentIndie 2017-08-01T16:56:09Z

Good job with the game. I enjoyed the bullet hell style and you made good use of the theme. My main suggestion would be adding more feedback to player. It can sometimes be difficult to tell when you are taking damage until you are low and the enemies just disappear when thy die. Overall though it was a fun game.

D34TH by Falk Bruskeland 2017-08-02T07:10:13Z

Good job with the game. The game play was fun but dodging the bullets from the cops was a bit on the harder side with the movement but still worked well. My favorite part of the game was the boss at the end, it was well done and had the feel of a classic retro game. Overall good job.

One In the Chamber, One In the Socket by notApollogising 2017-08-01T16:46:11Z

When I tried playing the game, it started me on the "you win but try this level though it probability not impossible" which I assume is not the first level and there was no way to play the other levels.

Goodnight, Wizardog by barsoosayque 2017-08-02T21:35:03Z

Good job with the game. The gameplay was pretty fun and the art was quite clean. I wish there were more levels because I would definitely play some more. Also one suggestion I would make is showing what each of the towers do before the game starts. Overall nice game.

Dont ask me to stop being a outdated junkrobot by Ludic Studios 2017-08-02T08:05:41Z

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed the the art style and the soundtrack was on point. The movement dashes felt very clean and the slashes were satisfying. One thing that could be improved, however, was the enemy attacks since it was not super clear how big the hit box was or when they were swinging. Overall nicely done.

Growing Pains by ctjet99 2017-08-01T06:49:37Z

Overall a very nice game. The humor was on point, art looked nice and music worked well. Additionally I really enjoyed the feel of the driving sections and the retirement part. Good job.

Industria by rb2750 2017-08-02T06:39:04Z

It took a little bit to understand the game but once I got it, it was fun to play. A bit a tweaking to the power drain at the beginning would help a lot with understanding the first time someone plays. Overall good job with it.

Giuseppe's Kidnapping by VEGACIDE 2017-08-02T20:02:24Z

Great job with this game. The levels were interesting, the art gave the game a good feel, the music was great and the fade out mechanic really made it unique. Definitely one of more solid games I have played this jam. Keep up the good work.

Lichometer by Kade 2017-08-02T08:23:48Z

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed the art in this game, especially some of the more subtle things like the walls turning translucent when you got near them. Game play wise it was fun, but the movement felt loose which made things more difficult. Overall it was a nice game.

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Virus Eater Peter by Nathan 2017-12-10T01:23:44Z

Good job on the game. The mechanics fit well with the theme and I liked the variety of upgrades you could get. The movement felt a bit too slide-y and resulted in it being difficult to pick up the RNA in time. Overall i enjoyed the game, nice job.

Nabi by Amir Bayareh 2017-12-05T04:06:45Z

Great job with the game. The art work superb and the game was fun to play. Works well with the theme. The sounds from some of the traps got a bit annoying after a while due to it constantly playing however. Still a really solid entry, nicely done.

Bot Blockade by RetroSpecter 2017-12-10T02:54:06Z

Good job with the game. I like the idea and the difficulty scaling in the game. One thing that would be helpful is id you could rotate your character without moving so it is easier to throw the blocks where you want to, especially when space it tight. Overall nice work.

SAFE ZONE by KappaIX 2017-12-10T01:36:31Z

Good job with the game. The art looked very clean and the main game play mechanic was pretty fun. Like a lot of people here, I wish there was more levels because the game has a lot of potential. I hope you continue working on it.

CalligraTree by Roaring Cat Games 2017-12-08T01:10:23Z

Good job on the game. It did a good job filling its roll as a calm and chill game. Also the tree artwork looked nice.

Toxic Towers by MiltonNH25 2017-12-14T08:41:20Z

Thank you to everyone that took the time to comment and leave feedback. I hope you all enjoyed your experience with the game. I wrote a postmortem based on some of the feedback for anyone that is interested in reading it. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/toxic-towers/toxic-towers-postmortem

INFINITORY by electr1ca 2017-12-10T01:47:18Z

Good job with the game. I liked your use of the theme to give the player multiple choices that felt viable. The art and music both worked well for it. I would loved to see more possible tile sets. Nice work.

Good As Gold by ProdigalSon 2017-12-07T20:25:30Z

Good job with the game. I loved the subtle transformation you get every time you collect one of the coins. The music fit well with the game and the graphics were nice. It left me wanting more levels to solve. One thing that could be improved a bit was the statue movement because it can feel a bit awkward at times. Overall very nice entry.

AdBlock Doesn't Work! by talisra22 2017-12-07T20:42:29Z

Great job with the game. I love the concept and it was executed well. Some of the ads you made were gold and the videos you choose were perfect for the game. Overall very nice. (Also nice lava lamps.)

Grim Reaper by Lamossus 2017-12-07T21:01:00Z

Good job with the game. I enjoyed the concept and it was fun to play. It could be improved through better feedback to the player when they hit enemies since it can be difficult at times to tell, and some sort of indicator of where the boundary of the map is. I would love to see this game continued because there is a lot of potential to still be tapped into with this game. Nice work.

Droplet by ManBeardGames 2017-12-08T00:40:01Z

I really enjoyed the game. Its simplicity in art and game play in addition to fluid movement gave the game a really relaxing feel. This is definitely a game I would play again whenever i just need to chill for a bit. I would like seeing you update the game in the future. Things like a score leader board and having more area to move around in when you get bigger might be things you could consider adding. Overall nicely done.

Water Your Melons by Kciwsolb 2017-12-05T03:41:33Z

Good job on the game. The retro feel worked well and it felt good that the music matched up pretty well with when you could move. It was fun to play but felt a bit restrictive due to the fact you have to keep walking back and forth to melons. One thing you might want to add if you continue on the game is an indicator of each of the melons health so it is easier to work around cycling between them. Overall nice work especially for a first jam entry.

Anime was a Mistake by Bobo Games 2017-12-10T01:56:03Z

Good job with the game. The concept was really good and you did a good job executing it. Some of the collision felt a bit weird but it still played well.

The Quiet Mind by broccoli 2017-12-10T02:44:16Z

Nice work with the game. The platforming was satisfying and difficulty progressed pretty well with the orbs. The atmosphere was excellent and I liked the more subtle use of the theme with the story. Great job with the game.

LD42 — Running out of space

Outrunning Space! by drludos 2018-08-15T19:29:00Z

While being a simple game, it really shines for creative use of the theme, and is the most unique game I have played in this jam so far. Good job.

Mindblocked by diptoman 2018-08-15T19:21:24Z

Great job with the game. It was a good idea executed very well. Its easy to understand but complex enough to offer a challenge which is highlighted with the extra coin solution. Also good job with the difficulty scaling, it felt like a pretty smooth progression throughout all the levels.

Rampant Windows by MiltonNH25 2018-08-25T23:03:09Z

Glad that you guys enjoyed the game. Also the salt one requires you to shake the window back and forth for the salt to fall. @adrisj7

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Soul Harvest by MiltonNH25 2018-12-04T19:19:43Z

Glad you enjoyed it @fre and thanks for the feedback. We originally planned to have more progression through farms to more complex city areas but time got the best of us .

Slime Patrol by GroverTheGrovekeeper 2018-12-16T10:12:49Z

Good job on the game. I liked the idea you were going for and some of the variety in the levels. I feel like this game could have benefited from shorter levels, a better indication of what you were sacrificing at the end of each level, and some more player feedback on when you hit an enemy or got hit. Overall nicely done.

SoulAssain by Joker_v 2018-12-07T22:17:12Z

Great job on the game. I really like the phasing mechanic and it fit well for the theme. It felt really satisfying and left me wanting more. I did feel like the walking speed was a bit too slow. I would love to see this game with a few more levels.

The lord of Possessions by cigsandflowers 2018-12-07T22:35:05Z

Good job with the game. It was fun to play around with and the melee attacks felt pretty satisfying. I personally did not get too much use out of the sacrificing mechanic since most of the extra weapons didn't get leveled up enough to be accepted. Also i felt the text speed was too slow (glad you included the skip) and you could also take dmg while you were frozen in the text window. I feel like this game has a lot of potential if you were keep working on it.

Welcome to the North Pole! by fre 2018-12-07T23:07:25Z

Great job on the game. It felt very charming and it was pretty relaxing to play especially with the music. It was a bit difficult to understand what the door were asking for. Overall a very enjoyable and unique game.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Marvin by Avon 2019-05-04T23:20:01Z

Good job on the game. It was a relaxing game and it looked pretty good. I would have liked to see some more variety. Also it could be pretty difficult to get through the doors without getting when when there were all 4 turrets alternating fire while you wait outside it. Overall, nicely done.

Life Stock Exchange by kefir 2019-05-05T00:14:21Z

Good job on the game. It was a really cool idea and you executed pretty well. It can feel a bit slow at times though while you are waiting for either a decent drop or peak.

Paycheck to Paycheck by MiltonNH25 2019-05-04T21:38:33Z

I am glad people are enjoying the game. @finn-truman I thought the transportation cost being double for the further away job and and pay day being on Saturday would be intuitive once you saw them, but I definitely agree with everything else not being as clear as I would have liked. I probably should have added something that tells the player a rough idea of how all the events effect your health. That would have also fixed the issue where if you get a lot of negative effects stacked up in a day you can go from healthy to pretty much dead for seemingly no reason.

Paycheck to Paycheck by MiltonNH25 2019-05-04T22:42:07Z

@finn-truman All good and thanks for the feedback , its helpful to see what I can work on for next time.

Paycheck to Paycheck by MiltonNH25 2019-05-05T02:29:04Z

@firepit-games That is a pretty good idea that I think would help. Also what did you feel was unbalanced with the money?

Greenback by Finn Truman 2019-05-04T23:01:23Z

Great job one the game. It was pretty funny and I really loved the sound effects for everything. I felt like the boss fights were the highlight of the game especially the last one. During the first level it was a bit difficult to see some of the bullets with the yellow on top of tan and it would have been nice if there was also some visual feedback when an enemy got hit in addition to the audio. Overall a very funny and well put together game.

Deal With the Devil by Firepit games 2019-05-05T02:45:39Z

Good job on the game. I really liked the opening sequence and it fit well with the theme. All of the different spells were cool to use, but it felt like the scythe was stronger than all the other options. It would be nice if there was more feedback when you hit enemies. Also it is possible to walk outside the room. Overall very nice game.

TheMechanizedHero by RustyCrow 2019-05-04T04:20:00Z

Good job with the game. It felt smooth and was fun to play. I felt like it could have benefited from a different way to aim your slashes that wasn't tied to movement and a way to hit above/below you. Overall cool game.

Two Minutes of Fame by ZanyG 2019-05-04T04:06:15Z

Good job on the game. I really like the selling yourself out for social media concept and I felt like it worked well. The graphics were nice and the music was catchy. I did feel like it was difficult to tell what was happening sometimes.

Magic Forest by Symphonia 2019-05-04T23:41:20Z

Congrats on finishing your first game . It was funny and I had a good time with it. I would have liked to see some more variety with some of the levels.

-1 (Minus 1) by Mahou 2019-05-04T03:52:42Z

Good job on the game. I enjoyed the puzzles and I thought it worked well with the theme. It would be cool to see some more challenging rooms since I felt they were mostly pretty straightforward once you understood how the game worked. Lastly from a game play perspective, having your hp be persistent throughout the game made it hard to tell how well you were doing until you got to the end or died. Overall it was a cool game.

Herding Cats by Al Bueche 2019-05-05T02:56:02Z

Good job with the game. It was entertaining to play and I liked the fact you slowly amassed a small army of cats by the end. It was a bit difficult actually trying to get the cats do what you wanted since it was hard to have a only a single cat chase the laser and the fact they would chase the mice. Overall, very nice.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Pocketon Peak by bwalter 2019-10-13T05:33:54Z

Well done with the game. I am impressed you were able to make so much in such a short amount of time. It was really fun to complete and I ended with a 78% clear. I was especially fond of the music. I felt like the game could have benefited from a short description for what the items do and another inventory slot. Also it is possible to clip out of bounds game shot.png Overall very nice.

Click the Balloons by SaraJS 2019-10-12T03:13:03Z

Well done with the game. I enjoyed the minimalist style and it was surprising fun trying to figure out the tricks for everything. The start can be a bit slow and especially when I had to restart it a few times to understand what to do with the shapes.

CosmiCraft 🌟 by Random-storykeeper 2019-10-14T21:54:21Z

Good job with the game. I had a fun time flying around and piecing together my ship. I also especially enjoyed the music. I really like the salvaging parts from the ships you destroy idea and I thought it was executed well. One thing I suggest is making the build mode more clear. Having some type of overlay to indicate it was active would have made it easier to understand at first and possibly having a small text box say "gun turret" or "power cell" when you mouse over pieces would have been helpful. Overall, nicely done

Words With Foes: Quest for the Lexinomicon by MattWoelk 2019-10-13T07:45:03Z

Very good job with the game. It was a blast to play especially at the end when it becomes more difficult and tense. I finished with 35 pieces. I enjoyed the writing but the pacing of it could be improved since there is a lot to read in the first few rooms that slows the game down. Overall very solid entry.

You Gotta Buy Everything by MiltonNH25 2019-10-13T06:24:02Z

Glad everyone is enjoying the game  Originally there was going to be combat but I ended up replacing the enemies with the breakables due to time. @thepiratenun Ya the buttons are one of the things that got skipped over that I would have liked to do. Also being able to nuke levels at the end is definitely part of the fun  @random-storykeeper

Reboot Royale by Webox 2019-10-13T03:58:37Z

Good job with the game. It enjoyed the unique concept and the art was well done. I would love to see a version of this with a bit more complexity to the tasks but well done otherwise.

King Conga by Tad 2019-10-13T03:47:20Z

Well done and very funny game. Its simple to play but gets surprisingly challenging as the conga continues to expand.

Neon Void by egawag 2019-10-13T06:42:45Z

Very well done on the game. You did an incredible job creating the atmosphere. It was relaxing to play and I enjoyed the different skills. It would have been nice to be able to throw using the mouse and if each skill had a different use key instead of swapping the skill and using space for all of them. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, great work.

Rottenville by zanzavar 2019-10-13T04:21:18Z

Good job with the game. It played pretty well and you did a good job with the art and music.

HEARTSCAPE by ZakAmana 2019-10-12T03:30:25Z

Great job on the game. It was a really cool concept and it was executed well. I enjoyed the art style and the music as well. One thing I would suggest is making sure that the 2 card choices were different from each other since I got the choice of the same two cards a few times. Also I felt the arrows were the best card by a decent margin. I would love to see you expand the game :)

Broken Broom Adventure! by RubixNoob13 2019-10-13T04:43:28Z

Good job with the game. Even though there is not too much to do it was still fun to play around with. I hope to see you develop this game further.

Wizard Fishing by Daxic 2019-10-13T03:26:06Z

Well done with the game. The concept was pretty funny and it was fun to play. I was able to beat it and had a good time doing it. The hourglass upgrade was pretty cool and I would loved to see more unique effects like that. Also the music was a good meme

The Legend of Nüdacus by dummydojo 2019-10-13T04:34:49Z

Well done with the game. It was a neat take on top down action games and it played well. The shove felt very satisfying to use. It would have been nice if the knights had more of a tell before they used the spin attack. Overall nice work.

Fruits are all by Oscar Henrique 2019-10-14T22:52:31Z

Congrats on your first LD game and I hope you enjoyed the experience. While there is not too much to do, it was still fun to play around with. Nice work

Slimy Situation by Vybe 2019-10-13T06:12:16Z

Good job with the game. It was pretty relaxing going around and killing all the slimes. I was able to kill the giant slime but didn't end up completing the other quests since they required killing a lot of enemies. I would be nice if you used the best sword you have picked up rather than the latest since you can downgrade your sword. Overall nicely done

LD46 — Keep it alive

Pocket Bomb by Fajpaj 2020-04-27T04:02:19Z

Good job on the game. I enjoyed the concept and the swapping between different tasks. I would have loved to see even more of them. The graphics were well done and fit the game well.

Beam Slinger by egawag 2020-04-27T02:36:49Z

Good job with the game. It was very relaxing and fun to swing around. Good touch with the music changing when you reach max speed, made it feel impactful.

DEBUGGER by randomnine 2020-04-27T06:32:13Z

Good job with the game. It was really fun to play and I like how the bugs would temparaly disable the buttons. Also crawling around on the screen was pretty cool.

Keep the Fire Alive FINAL by Krebzor 2020-04-27T04:25:06Z

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed the art style.

ERROR 404 by Nate Wert 2020-04-27T04:37:02Z

Good job on the game. It is a pretty cool concept and it was fun going around and stopping the viruses. I enjoyed the music but it tended to cut out a lot when other sounds were playing. Also the voiced intro was a nice touch. It would be nice if there was more feedback for interacting with the viruses but overall well done.

He Needs Healing by WanS24 2020-04-27T04:56:28Z

Good job on the game. The concept works well with the theme and it was fun to play. I enjoyed the muti-tasking and it would be cool to see it with additional stuff to keep track of.

Don't Kill The Messenger by Koolruz 2020-04-27T02:50:12Z

Good job with the game. The puzzles were fun to solve once you figure out the rules. I would have prefered if the turns executed a bit faster though.

Droplet Dodge by Alaska 2020-04-27T05:40:25Z

Good job with the game. I liked the concept and it was fun to play around with. It would be cool to see some more variations in the attacks and an increase in difficulty as time goes on.

Deer Quest by Brachistosauro 2020-04-27T04:49:15Z

Good job on the game. The combat was fun and the writing was amusing. I really enjoyed the final fight.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Glide by egawag 2020-10-13T22:07:48Z

Great job on the game. The idea was cool and it was addicting to play and feel out how the ribbon moved. It felt pretty satisfying once you get the hang of it. The combo system was a good touch for the game and the timer was the right length to keep some tension while still being able to get large combos. The painted art style was also nice and worked well with the game.

The Breakable Spiral by Wassim 2020-10-13T23:12:18Z

Good job with the game especially since it was made it only 5 hours. It was fun to play but the ball tended to be difficult to control will high acceleration on the movement. The aesthetics fit the game well and the music was great, very calm and relaxing.

FRUITFLY by frecklebars 2020-10-13T22:51:24Z

Good job on the game. While the gameplay is simple it does a very good job with the atmosphere. I liked the story to it and it comes together well.

No Grave Too Shallow by Skiffage 2020-10-19T04:55:14Z

Good job on the game. It was pretty smooth to play but could have benifited from some more player feedback when shooting and getting hit.

Ball vs Rope: Escape from Hell by nik184 2020-10-19T04:15:47Z

Good job with the game. It was fun to sling around the ball and learn the physics of it. I felt like it would have played a bit smoother if the ball started in a neutral position relative to the rope. Overall, very nice.

Shoobeat - Control a spaceship using a programmable loop of actions by MTabasco 2020-10-19T03:54:09Z

Good job with the game. The concept was cool and fit the theme well. I also thought it would benefit from having some sort of preview for where the ships will appear and when they will shoot so you can plan rather than guess and check. Overall, well done.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Minigun Miner by drludos 2021-05-01T05:27:43Z

Good job on the game. Took a little bit to get used to the movement but was fun once you got them down.

Pagemage by OrbitalBlueprint 2021-05-04T10:56:43Z

Great job on the game. Delving deeper into a book was a cool use of the theme and the concept as a whole worked really well. Using words as power-ups was a nice touch and the sound effects for shooting and collecting letters were very satisfying. I do think the game could have benefited from either slowing down the enemies that chase you, or allowing the player to shoot in directions they are not moving. Also I felt the early pages lacked variety since rooms were usually just letters or 1-2 of the enemies that chased you. However, once you started seeing the other enemies later it was much better in that regard. Overall though, I had a really good time with it and would love to see it expanded on.

UnderwOtter by pixelbug 2021-05-04T09:40:49Z

Good job on the game. It was a fun time exploring and trying to push where you could take your limited air. The beginning section we definitely the most challenging with only a small margin of error on some of the early pick-ups. I felt like the game was at its best when you got enough upgrades that the timing was less strict and you had more options to explore. Also loved the 15$ at the end, it was a nice touch.

Dig it out! by mikouaji 2021-05-05T09:15:48Z

Good job on the game. It was enjoyable to go around digging and the music was pretty relaxing to go with it. I liked the shop with the upgrades but I didn't see too much use for the rope since collecting a chest brought you back up to the surface already. One suggestion I would make is mentioning that when the shovel breaks it is game over since I didn't realize I couldn't go back and repair it afterwards. Overall though well done.

Agent In Depth by Yigit Doruk 2021-05-01T05:50:43Z

Great job with the game. It had a nice visual style, good music and the delefection mechanic felt very statifiying especially with the bit of slowdown when you hit. I also though there was a nice difficulty progression as you continued downwards. Two things that could improved the feel slightly is having some feedback when you get hit and reducing the amount of time you spend in the elevator between levels since you spend a decent amount of time just waiting in between each floor. Overall very fun.

Trapdoor in the Garden by InitialPosition 2021-05-01T06:26:34Z

Good job on the game. It was fun to play and had nice with with satisfying sound effects. The different objectives on each of the floors worked well. I personally feel like it would have benefited from having the attack direction being independent of the movement direction so you could attack while backing up/moving away from enemies. Overall well done, and I would love to see it continued.

Deep molatoes by leggy 2021-05-04T10:27:16Z

Good job with the game. It was a cool concept to play around with and it was fun trying to keep them alive. I ended up with basically just two that I focused on keeping alive as the dug to victory. The game did feel very chaotic in the beginning since you are still feeling out how to play while you have the most molatoes to manage.

in bed, can't sleep by tanatb 2021-05-04T11:25:42Z

Nice work with the game. It was a very neat interpretation of the theme that hit close to home. I liked the different conversations and appreciate the fishing mini-game. Well done.

PogoFall by Taek 2021-05-01T07:14:03Z

Good job on the game. The movement of the pogo feels really satifitying once you gain some control and are able to rocket across the screen. The simple and clean art style also fit well with the game. I liked the running into enemies to kill them but often times it felt like you just had to trade health to get rid of them for future runs since they would often spawn bullets next to you when you collided. This is especially noticeable on the final level to the large spike in length and the amount of enemies present. Overall though, it was really fun to play. Well done

Find The Page! by Rouge_dragon 2021-05-01T06:37:44Z

Very cool interpretation of the theme. It was executed well and I thought showing the optimal number of clicks at the beginning of each was a nice idea. The only issue I found was with the Harry Potter one since there a few different ones for the series and character and it was not initially clear which it wanted.

LD49 — Unstable

Horsey Computer by Apple Dash 2021-10-10T01:14:56Z

Good job with the game. It was a very weird but charming experience and I appreciate all the parody aspects with the different genre of games. I did find the camera sensitivity during the walking simulator section to be really high. Overall a very cool game.

Above the Void by MiltonNH25 2021-10-07T03:50:23Z

@jeinzi I am glad you enjoyed and thanks for the feedback. I realize I forgot to include you can toggle full-screen with F in the description so that has been included. Being able to move directly after grappling was a bug and has been fixed along with the suggested grapple speed increase and saving progress when you exit. Also ya that solution was a bit of an oversight on my part and you were intended to grab both keys but it was cool you were able to solve it without them.

Prakzar's Problematic Potion Puzzle Pit by Echo GameWorks 2021-10-10T00:07:06Z

Good job with the game. I think the chain reaction mechanic was a nice use of the theme and the series of different effects you would get after breaking one of the potions was pretty cool. I did feel the throw was a bit difficult to use effectively since it didn't have much horizontal velocity. Also I think it would have been nice if you could pick up potions from the side instead of needing to jump ontop of them. Overall though pretty fun game.

The Last Light by Neon Glass 2021-10-10T01:40:53Z

Good job with the game. The echolocation mechanic was a very cool idea especially with the tiles that fall once you use it. The music was also very nice. I did start finding it difficult to orient myself in some of the later levels when the map starts completely blank since the flames were the only real landmark to follow. This combined with the falling tiles that you can't see the progress on after you use your echolocation makes it very difficult to navigate some levels. I feel like always being able to see the color of the falling tiles would have made some of the levels more enjoyable. Also sometime when jumping onto tiles you will stick to the side of them. Overall though, it was a neat concept and it was a fun experience to play.

//ex.it by thevinter 2021-10-07T08:38:59Z

Good job on the game. The aesthetic and mood was well done and there were some pretty cool glitchy effects. The platforming felt a little bit rough but was still fun and challenging without being too difficult to progress. I also really like the robot dropping out of the ceiling. I am not sure if the bios error screen was the end but I was not able to continue after it. One aspect that felt a bit annoying were the lasers that flicker on and off. I felt like I spent a lot of time just waiting for them to turn off and I died a few times due to jumping into the laser as it was flashing thinking it had turned off. Also there is a bug where you can sometimes scale some vertical walls by jumping against them over and over that allows you to skip sections of the platforming. Overall though, it was a fun experience . Well done.

Scoop the Pool by DecadeDecaf 2021-10-10T02:58:42Z

Good job with the game. It was a fun time to play and the art was very well done. Mechanically, I found it easy to understand but it had enough depth and strategy to keep it fun and interesting to play. I would really want to try out a multiplayer version a group of other players since it seems like it would be very fun.

I do feel the game is lacking a bit in the player feedback department and would benefit from things like sound effects for winning/losing/going neutral a bet and for when you play cards. I feel like the ui element for how much the pot has is placed such that it makes it seem like its a resource you personally have. I also feel like it would be smoother to have the "I think it will/will not fall" as two separate buttons and make it so the round just starts when you select one. Lastly, when you win the game doesn't actually end and it allows you to repeatedly play cards.

Overall a very solid entry and it would be cool to see it developed even further.

Snowbody's Mountain by WeAreDev 2021-10-07T09:24:37Z

Good job with the game. Its a pretty cool use of the theme. The art and the music were spot on. It was difficult but pretty fun once you got the hang of it. I thought the change in game-play each level when you collected your hat was pretty cool. It did feel a bit weird how much you bounced around on the tree branches compared to everything else. Also I am not sure if it was intentional but the game over screen only appears when you lose due to the fires and not when you drop your head on the ground. Overall, very well done.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-10T00:37:59Z

Good job with the game. The world was interesting to explore and I liked the various npcs I got to meet. The music was well done and did a good job at setting the tone. Also I was a particular fan of the groovin green area. It would be cool to see some of the areas more fleshed out. Also like some others, I found the text a bit difficult to read with how closely spaced some of the letters are.

The TurnVille Mayor by LemmsG 2021-10-07T07:47:46Z

Good job with the game. It was a cool use of the theme and it was fun to watch the dudes wander around and get flung by the meteors. I did find a bit difficult at times to place the buildings and would probably benefit from an indicator while your placing that shows if you can or not.

LD49 by jeinzi 2021-10-07T08:57:54Z

Good job with the game. I liked the art style and pretty fun trying to fly around the ship. It did feel like there was a decent amount of delay between inputs and the ship moving that made it difficult to collect the gas cans. I think it would have been cool to see either other things to collect or objects to avoid as well. Overall cool game.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Kitastrophe by Jezzamon 2022-04-10T01:33:47Z

Great job on the game. I am impressed that you were able to get working coop multiplayer in a compo submission. It was fun to mess around with and I liked the teaching/learning aspect of seeing another players throwing certain objects at things to get different effects. I only got to see a few of the items while I was on so I was not sure what things like the mini house did or how to find them. It would be cool to see even more items to interact with. Overall well done.

Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate by benjamin 2022-04-09T21:29:23Z

Great job on the game. It was very well polished and was a blast to play. I also thought the upgrade system where you also get a downside with it made the choices more interesting. I would love to see an expanded version of this. There are still somethings that i noticed that could possibly be improved. The main thing was the fact it was difficult to tell how much damage the shotgun was going to do and who it would end up hitting. It felt bad to not quite deal enough damage to finish something off and losing because of it. I think clarity there would help out a lot. On a more minor note, I was not a huge fan of the collecting ammo mechanic as it tended to mainly be used at the end of rounds when you had pretty much already won and just made finishing take longer. Overall though fantastic work.

Claim your FREE BitBuddyâ„¢ TODAY! by danman9914 2022-04-10T02:27:02Z

Great job with the game. It was a very cool take on the theme. I feel like it being a short jam game actually added to the experience since you exhaust pretty much everything you can do pretty quickly and are just left with the choice of leaving it open or not. I felt bad when I ended up spawning too much food and game closed leaving just a pile of bones. Rip Lowybin.

The Unfortunate Tale of Mr. Bones by MiltonNH25 2022-04-09T20:20:04Z

@jeremy-selwyn glad you enjoyed the game. I am happy to hear the balance of it felt good since it was mostly just a lot of picking numbers that seemed about right and hoping it would work out in the end. Also I agree that some more building options to both find and place could be good additions for the future.

Handsel and Gretel and Snakes by Jeremy Selwyn 2022-04-09T20:50:07Z

Good job with the game. I had a good time playing it and it was pretty satisfying to move around especially when you get chain of the energy cubes to fly through. I was also the fan of the kind of trippy aesthetic design which gave the game a cool feel. It did feel like the dash ability was a bit inconsistent in how much speed you would get from it, sometimes I felt like it didnt really give the boost when I used it.

Farm Dog by Trypants 2022-04-10T00:55:26Z

Great job on the game. I really liked the art and style of the game and I thought the music was well done and fit quite well. It was fun to run around and shoot and the upgrades were a nice addition. One thing that I think could be improved is adding some more feedback for hitting enemies and an indication for critical hits. I noticed a decent amount of crit upgrades while playing but it was hard to judge how effective they were since there was no indication for them.Overall though I had a good time, well done.

Slime Survivor by rhewid 2022-04-10T00:24:58Z

Great job on the game. There is quite a bit of variety in the different weapons and upgrades that made it pretty fun to play around with. The dash felt pretty good to dodge around with and it was overall a fun time to play. One thing I did notice though is that there is a lot of pausing, opening up the menu to assign a skill and then closing it which slowed down the pace of the game. It might have been helpful to have the menu automatically open and close when you assign your skills to make it a bit faster and flow better. Still though very nice game.

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-09T22:07:43Z

What a cool experience. It was pretty incredible to see the collection of really well made art by all the people that tried out the game. It was a cool concept and executed really well. The visual style was good choice and did a good job with the peacefully walking through a museum feel. The one thing I think is missing is a way to check up on the art you did to see how it has been modified. Also it could have been cool to have paintings that could have more than two authors, it would have been fun to see how they transform over time. Overall though fantastic work.

Fire Hazard by Fupi 2022-04-09T23:58:30Z

Great job on the game. It was a cool concept that you executed on very well. The variety in enemy speed and numbers for the different types worked really well in making the need for each tower different (some required longer times to sit and shoot while other you could quickly plug in and take out as needed). I would love to see this game continued.

Mr.Filton Deluxe by DS Nahogara 2022-04-09T23:30:52Z

Great job on the game. I liked the idea of drawing your own defenses and it was a fun time creating things and watching them battle. I do wish there was a bit more to do once you made your creations that could add a bit more depth to the combat. Overall though well done.

Tactical Ghosts: The Impification by SnowyCocoon 2022-04-09T23:06:20Z

Great job on the game. It was very satisfying to play and I liked the fast pace for each of the levels. I was also a fan of the slowly unlocking more levels which kept the game interesting. It flowed quite well and make for an enjoyable experience. It would be helpful if it was a bit more obvious which character was yours at a glance. It was easy to tell for the "rook" since it contrasted a lot but some of the other ones blended in a bit more with the enemies and had me pause to find which one was mine. Same goes for the goal tile, it was a bit difficult to tell which was the goal and which was the movement selection at a glance. Overall though well done.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Sneak Guy by bwalter 2022-10-16T04:59:33Z

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed the different abilities you got and each one felt useful and you could clear the levels pretty quickly by using them well. The art style fit nicely with the game and I enjoyed the dialogue you got each level. It was a bit hard to tell what effect the lights had and when the guard would spot you hiding or just walk past you. Overall a very nice game.

Time Warp by zoglu 2022-10-16T03:29:31Z

Great job on the game. There was a lot of content and it was really polished for a compo game so well done. I liked the risk and reward aspect of the hourglasses. I thought it worked well with not having an exact timer on screen and just the screen effects intensifying to judge how much time you had left. The platforming was solid and the upgrades were cool and felt impactful. Really solid entry.

10 second arcade by loveapplegames 2022-10-15T01:22:17Z

Good job with the game. I liked the different games and there was a decent variety between them, each felt like it did a unique thing. I enjoyed the trampoline one the most personally.

Just fly around shoot rocket i guess by dimaswift 2022-10-16T01:35:44Z

Good job with the game. It is unfortunate you couldn't finish everything you wanted for it but it was still fun to play around with. The explosion and particle effects were nice and satisfying and the different guns were enjoyable.

NetCast by TopperVideoGames 2022-10-16T03:10:14Z

Good job with the game. It was a pretty cool concept and and liked the variety with the different shapes as you progressed through the levels. It would definitely benefit from some sort of limit to how many objects you can create since spamming seems to be the best the best option. Overall though nice work.

10 seconds Delirium by Furano 2022-10-15T00:52:41Z

Good job with the game. I liked the alternating between the two different sections and how you would get health in the first one to survive the second one. It would have been cool to see a bit more variety or scaling difficulty as the game progressed. the art style worked well and looked nice. Overall nicely done.

Temporal Escape by Louis Mareau 2022-10-16T02:00:57Z

Good job with the game. It was fun to go around slashing enemies and the slashing visual effect was pretty cool looking. I liked the orbs and clock enemies you could kill for extra time but it took a bit to figure out that was the orbs did. The dash was nice but it was hard to tell when the cooldown was finished to use it again. I also thought that growing stronger with each attempt was a good idea but I would have cool to see the stat upgrades being based on killing enemies or collecting items each run rather than just when it loops. As or right now it seems like it is best to die quickly for a few runs until you can beat the owl. Overall though I had a great time with it, nice work.

Chrono Harvest by sirdorius 2022-10-15T00:16:32Z

Good job with the game. It was a very clever concept that is pretty easy to understand but quickly becomes challenging once you have more stuff to manage. It always felt like I was on my toes trying to make sure things were safe and that I was not going to get sniped from one of the turrets.

OH! STUPID ENGINEER by ThatzNiko 2022-10-15T00:39:55Z

Great job with the game. I am a fan of the action tower defense gameplay, it worked well and felt very chaotic. You did a good job with feedback for attacking. I liked the variety of towers and upgrades to buy. I was not a huge fan of the forced 10 seconds of shop time, it initially made it hard to read through what everything did and later on it was either too fast to place the stuff I wanted or I had a few seconds of just waiting to resume. Overall all though a really fun game, good work.

Wyrmweaver by animawish 2022-10-17T00:32:38Z

Good job with the game. I really enjoyed slowly amassing a fortress of attacks as the game progressed, it was a cool way to scale the players power as the game progressed. I had a lot of fun with it and it would be cool to see this expanded with additional types of abilities.

Switch Heroes by Delpod 2022-10-14T22:56:51Z

Good job with the game. I had a good time playing it and the swapping went well with the theme. I both the sword and gun felt nice but I feel like there could have been a bigger difference between the two of them to make the swap feel like you really needed to change up what you are doing. Also there were a few enemies that spawned really close to the door and would attack you almost instantly when entering some of the rooms. Overall a pretty cool game and a fun idea to build off of.

Justin Time: Man of the Hour by applecore555 2022-10-15T11:46:27Z

Good job with the game. I enjoyed the fast pace take on a card game and the ring system for enemies and attacks was cool. The small delay at the start of the turn to look at your cards was nice but I did notice the first turn doesn't get this. The different cards were cool and I liked the different targeting they all had, but I didn't end up really using the melee ones much. Overall very nicely done.

LD52 — Harvest

Harvest Survivor by hadesfury 2023-01-15T03:00:48Z

Good job with the game. I liked having to balance standing still on the farm plots while also avoiding enemies. I liked the different weapons the player had but the hitboxes on some of them seemed pretty small compared to the enemy hitboxes. This is especially noticeable on the melee attack which is very hard to hit enemies with without taking damage in return. I liked the variety of different upgrades and made for an interesting choice each time.

Harveyster by Almax 2023-01-15T10:57:11Z

Good job with the game. The art was very nice looking and worked well with the game and the music sounded great. I really liked the attack upgrades which made for a cool form of progression. I liked the combat feel especially once you got the upgrades, but it did feel like the stamina system for attacks slowed down combat a bit and resulted in some moments of "wait why cant I swing". This was most noticeable during the harvest phase and tended to feel a bit frustrating waiting to recharge since it is only active for a short period. I did like the dynamic of trying to avoid damaging the crops but it did tend to feel like I could fight on one side of the map then walk over to the untouched side before killing the last enemy. It was pretty satisfying to spin though all the crops when you unlocked it. Overall though this is really well done and definitely one of my favorites so far this jam.

Harveyster by Almax 2023-01-16T00:08:07Z

I did not notice the sound for it when I originally played which probably would have helped communicate it. Also playing through it again I think part of why I felt slowed things down was the fact that early on, you are not really able to chain kills together without waiting for the stamina to recharge. Since each of the birds take three hits to kill and your base stamina is five it felt pretty common to kill one, try and kill another close by and then just not quite have enough to kill it which kills the flow a bit. I feel like having more stamina overall with a longer recharge might feel a bit better since it gives you a bit more freedom to jump in, kill a few birds, and jump out. It also might feel more satisfying to give the player unlimited stamina when harvesting at the end of the round. To me it felt like the game was encouraging me to go quick and constantly attack to get as many of the crops as possible but doing so very rapidly depletes your stamina and forces you to stop. Also I have not personally played much of DS or Skyrim so I cant comment much on them. Also I would love to see a post jam version of the game, especially with how good the game is already.

Tile King by MiltonNH25 2023-01-14T23:00:46Z

@futuregamer25 @initialposition @noskire @p0l4r @tobius @sarah-alexa Thanks everyone for trying out the game and I really appreciate all the feedback. Music was definitely rushed at the end of the jam and should have been quieter to feel less distracting. The gold going negative sometime instead of losing was an bug I am surprised I missed but should be fixed now. I also agree a sell option would have been a lot more convenient especially later in the game. It is good to see that the instructions were overall pretty clear and not too confusing.

Wheat World by Belonzik 2023-01-14T11:56:28Z

Good job on the game. It was a really cool twist on a platformer and I like how levels could feel a bit like a puzzle. I felt the the game could have benefited from making the platforming and the sword hotboxes a bit more lenient and focusing more on the puzzle like aspect of the movement rather than precision platforming. Some of the levels were a bit rough to get through due to the controls feeling a bit awkward for the precision required. Overall though very cool good and a fun idea.

Crops on fire by Richard Jedlicka 2023-01-14T12:19:41Z

Good job with the game. It was surprisingly satisfying to drive through the wheat field and I liked the hectic nature of the game as the level went on. The controls felt a bit too sensitive to me personally but still manageable. I also enjoyed the option to sacrifice some of your harvester's health to put out fires as it added a bit of extra strategy. Nicely done.

LD52 Moonlight by Fis 2023-01-15T03:46:25Z

Good job with the game. I liked the art for the character and ghosts and the song was well done. The cooldown on attacks was interesting as it encouraged swapping back and forth between them but felt limiting when trying to defend your your flowers as you just had to wait to get them back. I liked the flower planting but I wish there was more reason to plant them once you reach your max hp. It would be cool to see this game with some extra progression and scaling difficulty.

Gun Harvester by The1 2023-01-14T11:29:32Z

Good job with the game. The shooting was satisfying and the graphics were clean. I liked the dynamic of planting crops that would attack you which added some risk and reward. It did take me a bit to figure out how to actually place plants since I assumed you had to have the plant selection menu open to do so. It would be cool to see this expanded with more plant options and more incentives to push the player in to being more risky instead of just playing it safe. Overall though well done.

Shroomer Caves by Martynas 2023-01-15T03:24:53Z

Good job with the game. It was pretty fun to play and the loop of digging and returning for upgrades was paced pretty well. I liked the carrot growing mechanic but I wish there was some more to it since it never felt necessary to have more than one or two on you. This is also due to the fact the amount of water you can carry is limited so I was returning to the surface to deliver that before my magic was running out. It was a good experience overall.

H. (A Harvest Puzzler) by ditam 2023-01-16T01:21:34Z

Good job with the game. I think having a puzzle with no explanation and needing to figure out the rules is a cool idea. It is pretty difficult to approach however since you need a minimum of 3 different tiles working together to make any noticeable effect and 4 to start making progress on the goal. I think the kind of general approach to a puzzle like this would be to trying the colors by themselves and in pairs to try and figure out what they do but that approach doesn't give the player any information to work with. From there I just stared with random combinations to see if i could get something to happen and I did end up getting some bars across the top. However, the puzzle resets after so I couldn't go back and look at the board to try and figure out how I got that result. Additionally I didn't notice the bars across the top originally since they pretty hard to see on the background. Once I looked at the hints for an idea of what to do it became an interesting puzzle. Overall I think this is a cool idea but needs more of a way for the player to break into the puzzle and get information about what the tiles do.

Cyber Shapes by mhorth 2023-01-16T03:26:37Z

Good job with the game. It was a lot of fun to play and you did a good job with feedback which made it pretty satisfying. The harvest enemies mechanic was pretty cool but it did tend to be pretty difficult to harvest some enemies so I didn't get to use there power-ups that often. Mainly the one that gave hitscan bullets. I did like having to wait on the powerups to level up for the high duration effects but the screen ended up pretty cluttered after a while which made it a bit difficult to see some of the enemies. The enemy variety was nice and i though the shield enemies were a pretty cool design. Also the pulse powerup tended to make it pretty difficult to harvest enemies since it would usually just kill them before I got the chance to. Overall though very well done it was a blast. Tranquil World by Noskire 2023-01-15T11:20:24Z

Good job with the game. It was a pretty relaxing experience searching for all the different materials. It would be cool to see an overall goal to work towards as you completed more quests so there is some sense of progression.

Hamburger Harvest by Tuomas 2023-01-15T11:40:28Z

Good job with the game. It was easy to understand but surprising difficult to craft the perfect burger. I think the concept worked well and I had a good time with it.

The Pets Over The Innsmouth by 21st Century 2023-01-16T02:06:49Z

Good job with the game. The art was really well done and I really liked the intro and ending cut-scenes. It has a lot of charm to it. The music was also pretty relaxing. Gameplay wise I liked building and developing the area to support more C's but it tended to feel really slow to progress. I felt like there was a lot of time just waiting for them to multiply.

Bean Farmer Extreme 2 by bytecauldron 2023-01-15T02:33:59Z

Good job with the game. It was pretty fun to play even with the gameplay being pretty simple overall. The art and music worked well with the game. I also felt it was pretty balanced as it never felt too easy. It would be cool to see more upgrade options and more choice for the upgrades, since there tended to be multiple of the same upgrade in the choices.

Harvesting Hustle by AngryRubberDucky 2023-01-14T12:07:40Z

Good job on the game. The graphics looked nice and I thought the dynamic of both wanting to keep the sheep away and wanting them to eat some of the wheat was cool. It did feel like the game tended to spiral out of control pretty quickly once you got a few sheep they could starting eating and multiplying very quickly. Overall nice game.

Twin Stick Town by patrickgh3 2018-04-28T23:52:25Z

Very nice job with the game. The concept was cool and it played out well. I would love to see this game continued with more building variety since it was a fun one to play.

GHOST JOB by paulhocker 2018-04-28T05:47:15Z

Good job with the game. I liked the concept for the game and it was fun to mess around with. The game would benefit a lot from a lose condition, even something as simple as enforcing the turn limit you had.

Text Based Adventure by patvanmackelberg 2018-04-28T22:32:09Z

Great job on the game. It was really fun to play and felt polished. The art style worked very well and the weapons were satisfying to use. Some things that could be improved a bit is slightly faster text and a more obvious level exit since it is a bit hard to tell in the caves where you were supposed to go.

Tetris Escape! by Ninjascribble 2018-04-28T05:28:52Z

Good job with the game. The idea worked well with the theme and it was executed pretty well. It is a pretty challenging game and I had fun with it.

DUNK EM UP! by lukbebalduke 2018-04-28T22:55:54Z

Great job on the game. It was really addicting to play and felt very satisfying. This is also one of the most polished games I have played this LD so very well done.

Glad you enjoyed it

The Robot from Space VS The Slime Apocalypse by MiltonNH25 2018-04-29T19:53:42Z

@n00b I am glad you like it. They were just originally filler names I had on there but they grew on me :)

Seagulls by shaw 2018-04-28T06:01:35Z

Great job with the game, I had fun with it. The concept worked well and it was fun trying to manage both the card use and the bullet hell aspect of the game. It can be a bit difficult to tell what is happening at times due to all the remains that can end up on screen, especially when you also have to pay attention to what cards you have and if you have the mana to use them. One thing that I would recommend is putting the mana bar down by the cards so it is easier to focus on what cards you can currently use. Overall though I really enjoyed your entry.

Blob Dungeon by Mikeliosus 2018-04-28T21:46:11Z

Great job with the game, I had a lot of fun with it and you work you put in was very evident. I like the bubble match idea for upgrades and I would love to see that expanded with more effects like the ice one had. Probably the main issue the game suffered from was some awkward screen transition, most notably when you were jumping up to the next screen.

Skies and Cubes by RAFFE 2018-04-28T22:08:06Z

Congrats on your first LD and good job on the game. I liked your concept of mixing between both 2D and 3D. One thing that could probably be improved in the two types of jumps in 2d since it felt inconsistent which one you would do. Keep up the great work.

Adventure Defense by NateTheGreat 2018-04-28T20:12:48Z

Good job with your game. I had a similar mash-up of genres and I like your approach on this one. The risk factor of having to leave your base in order to get the higher tier resources worked well. I would have liked a way to see the progress of enemies on the mini-map since it would help to inform the player when it would be good to return and build more defenses. Also I liked the simple art of the trees and rocks. ld pic.png

Eat Your Ammo! by CiaranW 2018-04-27T20:22:48Z

Good job with the game. I had a fun time playing it and spray shooting the corn was pretty satisfying. One thing that would help this game out is more player feedback through either sounds or small indicators when you harvest.

Mine Your Own Business by Artiko 2018-04-27T21:27:33Z

Congrats on your first LD and good job on the game. The dungeon crawl was enjoyable and could be pretty fun with some additional variety. The clicker side felt less developed but it has potential. One thing that would help it out is small descriptions for each of the upgrades so it is more clear what each one does.

RPG Clicker by MercuryBD 2018-04-24T04:38:49Z

I enjoyed the game. The concept worked well and all the animations for battling (enemies, slashes ect.) look really good. One thing that hurt the game a bit was the unexpected difficulty jumps since it can be difficult to tell if an enemy will have 10hp or 400 before you enter a battle. Also it would be nice if there was an option to go through text faster. Other than that, good job on the game especially for your first entry.

Puzzle Dungeon by Crsrc 2018-04-24T04:53:58Z

Good job with the game. You were able to merge the two genres together pretty well, the art was nice looking, and it was fun to play. I really enjoyed the "special" boss move at the end, it was a nice touch.

Frogs vs. Cats by cincodenada 2018-04-28T06:22:03Z

Good job with your submission. It is a bit rough but I like the idea and could be pretty fun game with a bit of extra development. The movement can feel a bit awkward at time and it seemed like I was clipping around a bit when I jumped into stuff. I did enjoy the retro art style.

RuneTowers by Tiberon 2018-04-29T00:08:10Z

Good job with the game. You blended the two genres together nicely and it resulted in a pretty fun game. On the HTML5 version the screen wouldn't pan over which made it a bit more difficult but I still had a fun time playing it.
