Freaking kapusta.
I love the game for being really fun and puzzly, although I hate it for making me feel like I have an Iq of a moldy tomato. I finished all of the levels except for the last 2, and I must say I enjoyed it alot! Good work.
Very fun game! I love the fast-pace of it. The decisions aren't as impactful which co-operates with the speed of the game wonderfully. The only bad thing about it is that it isn't longer. Nice work!
Pretty fun entry. Graphics need to be worked on, although the idea is solid. I would've liked if I could see everything a bit more clearly, the addition of meters instead of/ along with the numbers would give the player a much more immidiate sense of how much of everything he has. But other than that, nice job.
Pretty fun at the beginning, although it gets pretty boring and repetitive later on. Essentially a little bit more complex clicker game. Controls feel a tad too floaty.
Very fun game! I like the graphics alot. Although the tractor beam is a little bit useless for the big debris.
Extremely fun and addictive game! Love the graphics and gameplay. I could play this game for hours and not get bored.
A fun and difficult game with a nice aesthetic! Great audio too.
It's a nice short and fun game, the graphics are decent, they are fitting for the game as a whole. It's not very complex but it is the simplicity that makes it better. Good job.
Good idea, not so great execution. I wish you handled the audio better. The grass background also doesn't fit in with the rest of the pixelart graphics.
The graphics are probably the best part of this entry. They're extremely consistent and simple yet they work really well. The gameplay is relatively fun, although having some sort of knockback on hitting the enemies would make it alot better. Overall, very nice game.
Although the graphics aren't amazing they work well with the rest of the game. As you said, the atmosphere is probably the best aspect. I like the ambience of the forest and the sudden gloomy shift when getting to the hand is very good. Overall, solid entry.
Wow, amazing entry! So well polished. The graphics are great, the sound is great, the gameplay is great. Everything just comes together so well and it makes for a stunning game. The only thing differentiating this from a full game is the amount of content. Great job!
Really fun entry. After I finally figured out the mechanics I was really enjoying it. The nice and simplistic graphics are great and work well with the gameplay. Too bad there isn't any audio, it would've definitely made this already good game alot better, although you still did a good job!
I liked this game alot. Although a more classic use of the theme it's still interesting. Would've been better if the audio was a little clearer but other than that, this a very solid entry.
Great game! Every aspect is brilliant. It's so fun I even ended up getting all the endings. The visuals are very well done, the music is really pretty, the dialogue is done right and the gameplay is simple but varies enough to make for a very interesting entry. Great job!
@d3vil0p3r I'll add a mediafire link, hope you can download it from there. Thanks for letting me know about this.
@pedro-miranda hey thanks for telling me this. I realize I never tell the player to click on the door to take the letter. If you're not talking about this then the tutorial should have everything else. If you feel like something is unclear do let me know and I'll put in the game description so people have a better time playing :)
@pedro-miranda alright, thanks for letting me know!
The graphics are great, the mix of the 3D planets with the rest of the 2D sprites works amazingly well. The music is also fantastic. Even though it's a short loop, it's calm enough so it doesn't annoy you at all. I guess the screen shake when you thrust could've been lessened or even removed. I didn't get to the end (i might try to later) but other than that, this is a really solid entry!
I don't know why but this game really put me into the role of the main character. After realising that I'm basically just killing innocent people based on what everyone else needs, I couldn't shake off the dreadful feeling. What would've made it even better/worse would be if the people got dragged away instead just falling into the ground. It would really emphasize that feeling of dread that I experienced while I was playing.
And I think that's where this entry really shines. The graphics are fine, audio is also fine, the story is simple and the gameplay is decent. But it's the mood and emotional aspect of the game that other games struggle to create.
Maybe I'm just weird and getting into it too much but hey, great job anyways.
After a bit I got 9700 points. I like the artstyle and the color palette. It's a unfortunate there isn't any audio. The gameplay was fun (although I just ended up sacrificing everyone). Good job!
The music is great, whereas other entries just loop a short sequence, having a basically full track really stands out. Graphics are alright, the little wisp/ghost creatures and the shaman sprites look great which is why it seems strange with the tiles looking a bit lackluster. I wish the gameplay wasn't as tight, maybe decreasing the gravity would work. Overall, it looks nice, sounds nice, has a decent idea and decent gameplay.
Wow, I didn't expect this game to be this good! Extremely fun even though it was a little bit difficult. The ambience is great. Not only does it remove the silence that would have otherwise been there but it also sets a great mood for the game. Also, the gameplay mechanic of sacrificing vision is very fun and original. Very good work!
Love the self-deprecation from the guy who sells you things. The artstyle is really nice, simple yet effective for what is needed. Although the gameplay is a tad bit strange. It would've been better if bullets couldn't collide with each other. But the audio is good, graphics are good and despite some inconviniences the gameplay is good. Solid entry, good job!
A very good spin on the classic breakout game. Although the artstyle is very very similiar to Downwell's it's actually a big plus. It works well with the gameplay, simple and effective. I could probably play the game for hours, although there could be some different enemies (maybe I just didn't get far enough). Overall very good!
Pretty nice game. It's clear that with more time this would be alot better. The grabbing is a bit buggy, which led to many deaths of the small yellow beans. It's also pretty slow, decreasing the amount of fish needed would be better. But other than the technical quirks, it looks really nice, has a good idea and has pretty visuals. Good job!
Finally an entry that is funny. I especially love the us of :O and :) as an alternative to actual facial emotions (i wonder why). I had fun with it and I feel like there aren't many games like this, in LD at least. Good job.
Although the idea is and execution are very good, it's the clunkyness of the controls that really set it back. The camera movements feels strange and picking things up with the tornado seems strange too. Graphics are very simple but they work well. The music does fit, however it gets repetitive after a whole. Other than that, the game is pretty fun and it's also original. Good job.
I like the idea alot. Maybe making the bullets bigger but less frequent would allow the player to strategize more and be able to save more soldiers. Also the audio is a bit annoying after a while. Other than that the visuals are nice and the concept is solid. I had fun playing it, so good job!
After struggling with the first mission for like 20 minutes, going throught the 2nd one in a few second and then getting stuck again on the 3rd, I must say, this game is not at all friendly to the player. I've used linux for a bit, but the game doesn't specify anything. It's probably enjoyable for people that are only very familiar with linux and working with linux's command terminal.
Helping the player along would've made this alot more enjoyable.
I love the visuals of this. Even though the pixel art is incredibly simple the effect on the screen makes it better. The music is also very nice. Overall it's a nice entry.
Very fun game, I like the aesthetic of it as well. Good work.
Extremely well made and polished for a compo game, graphics work nicely as well.
Very well executed concept, nice graphics, good idea. Good Job!
This just oozes polish, I will never understand how you manage to do this. Gameplay itself was really enjoyable although didn't feel like much of a challenge since I'd come across something in due time that I was starting to run low on. The very first event I got was the blackhole event, which is definitely my favorite, forcing you to make decisions on what to throw away at break-neck speed, made it such a chaotic and unexpected moment. I wish there were more similar events, or just more events which would really have you struggling to think of what's the best thing to do. Still, this is a fantastic and fun game as is.
I really wish I could spend more time with this and master the movement, but the control scheme is too confusing when actually playing and shooting enemies. Movement alone is fine enough, but combined with the delay between pressing the button to shoot and actually shooting makes intentionally precise control difficult. I really wish it'd be more responsive since I love how interesting and unique it is but often when playing it'd feel more or so like luck when I got anywhere far. As for visuals and audio, they work well together, creating a calm and pretty atmosphere which allows you to concentrate, not taking your very much needed attention away from the gameplay. I enjoyed this game quite a bit, getting the hang of it initially but feeling more and more stuck as I went further on. If the controls were improved I believe this would be way more engaging, not saying that it's not fun as it is, but it does feel awkward to some extent. Still, you did a great job with it making it work even the way it is now and the rest of the game looks and sounds very good and polished.
Despite the very floaty controls, I enjoyed this entry quite a bit. Seeing how much time I'm saving each run by looking at the previous ones was very satisfying and it made for a very good ending when I finally reached the end with a sliver of a second left. Even though the game lacks a lot of polish in its current state, I still had a good time with it.
Well I may be incredibly stupid, but I did only solve the puzzles myself partially. It took me a second to realize that the text in the top left actually changes and can display hints, also I spent probably 50% of the time finding the key. Despite that the game doesn't really do anything wrong, there maybe could've been more physical hints, mainly for the puzzle with Jean, but besides that everything looks and sounds neat and polished.
I probably had way more fun with this game than I should have, after the second or so loop I started "speedrunning" all the tasks, trying to get through the day as fast as possible. The usage of the theme itself is really creative and it's executed fairly well. If this were built upon in the future I do wish that you could actually get everything done in time if you do go fast enough, but I know that wouldn't fit the theme as much so it's barely a nitpick. Great, short and fun game overall.
While the gameplay itself feels a little basic (maybe some minigames for different tasks could've made it more interesting) the whole experience works very well. I love how unclear the story is yet it still gives you enough hints to come to your own conclusion and theorize about the environment you're placed in. Although it's this that makes the ending a bit disappointing, since while the loop is acknowledged, it doesn't really explain anything. But even with that hiccup at the end, it still makes for a fun and compelling experience.
Got a highscore of 163. Very fun!
Definitely my favorite use of the theme so far, even though it seems so obvious from your game I haven't seen any other entry use it yet. I like that you made each section differ in gameplay, since it made playing it a lot more engaging. It feels a little short but it's still great. Good job!
One of the more creative uses of the theme. Despite the gameplay being simple it digs quite a bit of fun from it. The vision getting blurry is a nice touch and it was fun trying to remember what each card did when I wasn't able to read them. Very cool!
So happy to play a platformer with tight controls in this jam. Really fun mechanics, not having to aim your shots works nicely and makes focusing on platforming easier. Nice polished art and visuals too. Good game overall!
A very cool take on the theme. Very atmospheric for being mostly in the dark apart from the demon eyes. Having to navigate terrain blindly so much is pretty effective as both a fun gameplay element and in increasing how scary it is. Good work!
@valyn-tyler up and down arrows scroll through them, you select with control. I know it's a bit unusual but it's in line with the rest of the game's controls
This is really really good! Love the take on the theme. Pretty much everything works, art's good, music and sound's good, gameplay is simple but the shifting platforms are interesting. I think a bit more to do on the player's side would've made it a lot more engaging, although it's already good as is. Really good job!
A pretty solid game! Definitely achieves its goal of being a rage/troll platformer without being completely unfair. Appreciate the hints with the fake blocks and such. Music fits it perfectly too...
Pretty fun! There's a suprising amount of different strategies you can get out of just a few mechanics, definitely a game that'd feel amazing to get into a flow state in and rack up a huge amount of points.
Super original to go with a datapack entry! I like that the mob drops actually serve as progression, rather than having to go get loot on your own. I got up to the cave spider level, they got me killed pretty quick.
A cute little game (I'm definitely not biased in any way). I like the diversity of all the different challenges in each level, feels like an actual proper world of a whole video game in that sense. The main mechanic is neat and allows for some fun risk/reward play. Overall it's very nice!
I like the visuals and the actual concept of the game, the different modes are actually pretty neat! Although the biggest gripe I have is the basic platforming mode not really working at all. Small movements are difficult to do with it which is in an issue when the stages require somewhat precise platforming. Changing either of the two to fit the other would be a lot better, more open stages or an easier to control character.
Luckily the other modes don't have any issues like this, they're pretty fun to play with. Conceptually I like the game a lot!
Very lovely aesthetic in this game! Odd choice to go with bhopping as your core mechanic, but it's a pretty original idea that works for a game that's based around speed. The gun is also a clever way of being able to plant things far away and set them up to collect later rather than backtracking. Nice work!
Killed 6 people but at least I got pumpkin
On a serious note this was really fun! Neat art style and overall a nice entry. Surprised at how many jokes you managed to put in the game as well as just the fact you got a whole story from this theme. I'll be pretty surprised if this doesn't win for humor!
@crashbashash unless it's some weird device-specific bug, then the second level should be possible! It might be a bit difficult at the start, but all the levels have solutions. Thank you for the kind words anyways!
@caplucky & @copito oh I'm sorry I understand what's going wrong now, the level you're talking about doesn't continue past the silo and is one of the "secret" levels, you can go back after you beat it once. The visible shadows connect the main levels. Sorry about the confusion!
@antsa probably not a skill issue, you can't make the jump without using the slash's mechanic, if you're not doing that :>
@antsa cutting the wheat while in the air should give you a boost, I'm sorry if that's not that clear.. :<
@gabrimer thank you! the whole entire game was made during the jam. The version that has the alternate control scheme was made later, since a lot of people seemed to dislike the original ones. I mentioned it if people want to consider only the original key bindings into the scores they give. Everything else about that version is the same though!
Very lovely art and music, that make for a nice and calm experience! The rising and lowering water are is a neat mechanic and made it a bit more engaging. The angle on the stork being from the side even though you still control it normally is a bit odd, but it's not a big deal. Overall the game is nice!
I was a little bored at first, but once I got to the upgrade screen and went into the next graveyard the whole game clicked for me and was really fun! Nice and simple gameplay loop that I'm sure could be expanded with even more levels and mechanics specific to them. I wish the guards noticed you a little faster at first because I feel like I should've gotten caught multiple times, but didn't. Other than that I liked the music and the graphics are nice and work well. Overall a good game!
Simple but a pretty neat game! Graphics are very nice and very much fit with other Gameboy game aesthetics. I love to see experimentation on jam games being done on their format rather than purely game design. A very cool entry!
While the game isn't overly complex it's really inspiring to see games in this jam being made in these conditions. It's a completely functioning, fun and nice looking game and it's incredible it was done without any usage of hands. It really shows that this jam is all about pushing whatever limitations you have further and making something neat along the way.
I thought it was weird that there were enemies on the cover art but none in game until the timer actually ran out and they began spawning, I wish there was some indication that the first few minutes are meant for preparation.
However the core gameplay is still fun! Screen shake and the camera movement are a nice touch and I think that the visuals are cohesive and work well for what the game is overall. Nice work
If this were turned into a mobile game I'd be playing it all the time. Such a neat simple puzzle game that scratches the itch of wanting to get a high score each time you play. No real complaints about it, it's just a well designed game with pretty art.
I love how much progression is in this game and how big of a map you get to explore, it feels like a complete game and it looks great too. Navigating the whole system and hopping around planets by aligning and launching yourself led to some really fun movement throughout. Really great game!
One of the nicest looking games I've played so far! The music is also great and pretty interesting, as well as being fitting for the game's theme. Gameplay-wise there isn't much to it but the different button combos aren't a bad mechanic. Still though, a very nice game!
Nice to see an entry that ties all of its aspects together really well! I'm suprised so much world building is packed into a short experience like this, really just made me want to play more and get invested in the story. Visuals are also very neat and fit the game perfectly. Great job!
A very neat way to turn the game of life into a proper puzzle game with additional rules and such! Really impressive for a 9 hour game, good job!
With how pretty the pixel art is and how satisfyingly crunchy the animations feel I really wish there was audio. But other than that it's a simple concept done really really well! I wish more things were controlled with the same key so that you'd be forced to pay attention to even more things at once, but that's just a nitpick. Overall it's really great!
What the fuck is this game I love it. I don't know how you came up with this but it's really good and funny
The shooting feels pretty fun thanks to the camera moves and the particle effects. I also like that the vegetable themselves float down and damage, it's a neat detail. Would've been nice if there was more to do, different enemies and maybe weapons. But still, good work! Hope you're going to continue doing more jams!
I like the look of the robots a lot, nice that each of them is unique and distinguishable by color. I wish there was more to do for the player, like harvesting the crystals themselves but risking being shot, or something similar. Other than that though it's a nice game!
A very fun entry! The sound effects definitely help make it a lot more satisfying to drag around the different ingredients required for the later meals. I just wish the actual growing and harvesting mechanics were a little more complex or had more impact on the gameplay. But regardless it's still a pleasant game with a nice feel.
