LD46 — Keep it alive

The Show Must Go On by Jedeen 2020-04-21T02:25:19Z

it's fun to decide against a costume that you don't think you can pull in time. if there are any "but"s to the game is getting stuck on corners, but it's very minor problem. the random character sprites are a nice touch

What the Firetruck!? by dvdfu 2020-05-01T03:57:40Z

controller support is greatly appreciated. very fun concept, i like how the report text adapts to the stats for completion's sake, i tried with keyboard as well. while it is more restrictive, it's not a problem in the game, i even got a better score than with a joystick.

Life of the Party by jelch 2020-04-22T23:29:45Z

the mechanics were a really nice surprise. going for a second playthrough and getting new events is a nice detail.

afterthought by Rionisse 2020-04-21T03:05:24Z

very nice graphics!. i got out of bounds a couple times trying to find new memories but the concept is really nice.

Indiana Farm by Pathus22 2020-04-21T01:47:27Z

Nice for people who really like challenges. for me, the punishing level and floaty controls are a bit much.

Capybaba by matthewi 2020-04-21T02:49:42Z

i enjoyed finding the way around the gates and obstacles. but physics are a bit rough

LYMPHOSITE by Saturnyoshi 2020-05-01T03:35:56Z

this one's a keeper. it feel a lot like a full fledged out game. i was already convinced and after the 4th restart i decided to check the help menu and realised i was missing out on secret rooms. congratulations to the whole team. in a sort of bug report, i tried to go full screen and got portions of the game over different displays. but it absolutely did not take away from my enjoyment

AC ⚡ DC 🔋 by SparkDrago 2020-04-21T03:26:38Z

models and level layout feel nice, but it's a bit empty with how few enemies i got

Pass it On by Ryan Jung 2020-04-21T02:07:07Z

can't wait to see the results after a good number of people played this game. i feel like i cheated somebody when i misunderstand a phrase but manage to decode it anyway.

embershrooms by togo sepultraut 2020-04-22T19:13:41Z

@torh it's only on itch.io at the moment, but we'll try and upload a copy shortly. thank you for considering us!

embershrooms by togo sepultraut 2020-04-30T05:07:35Z

@aguahervida @endymion the game does have a win condition! it's a bit hard to just stumble upon it so we updated the description to reveal it. basically: manage your fire and timing so the warriors have time to heal and kill all monsters.

@torh the game is now also available on indiexpo. https://www.indiexpo.net/en/games/embershrooms

thanks everyone for the nice comments so far

Probably the worst game in this event, but I'm still so proud that I finished it by ThatSoloDev 2020-04-21T13:26:40Z

i got very close to the end of the second screen. but can't for the life of me achieve that again. It's definetly not a bad game, just could have used a little less difficulty or a checkpoint.

Block Pusher by Pixipit 2020-04-21T02:35:20Z

simple and well rounded. it's fun to try and make a path through the chaos

Keep It Alive! by TeamJS 2020-05-01T05:03:14Z

it's a very fun challenge to limit the times you can look at the map while trying to remember and adapt your route. it took me a second to realize the charging buildings had to be interacted with. but overall a smooth experience

LD52 — Harvest

The Archiver by Ale 2023-01-12T02:59:18Z

its a nice management idea. the controls however hold it back a lot. playing with mouse, the cursor lags behind the mouse so you have to click and release constantly to get it anywhere :/ (may be a bug?)

HELLGATE HARVEST by kodingnights 2023-01-10T01:13:37Z

played the web version. could just be me but it seems the people come closer together than in the demo video

Flavors of Victory by Kyrio 2023-01-10T15:21:39Z

fun sort of math-y game. once you get the hang of it, it just takes a minute to find the winning combination. i like that you get a different vegetable knight depending on what you cooked, i wonder how many there are.

Totally Normal Farming Simulator by Lawrence 2023-01-10T00:03:16Z

got some of the achievements but couldnt figure out all of them. the sounds when picking up fire where funny at first but made me not want to experiment all that much with fire

Hex-Yield by AndideBob 2023-01-10T14:39:36Z

its nice to progress and discover new tile interactions and there seem to be a lot of interactions to find out! makes you want to keep digging

Harvest Swarm by LuhUchiha 2023-01-12T00:52:39Z

very nice pixel art! although the urgency from the bugs doesn't really let you go around the farm much. i imagine adjusting the spawn times and a bit of feedback when you pick up an item would be nice improvement

Tuber Trouble by Vyolfers 2023-01-10T02:17:57Z

the game looks very nice! (unfortunately i dont have a windows machine to try it on :c) please tag me if it becomes available on other platforms

Harvest or Die by Ninnec 2023-01-12T00:36:48Z

nice puzzle! keeping track of the monsters to stay safe and planning for the next color change is a fun thing to juggle

Grub Grab by ComicSans 2023-01-10T01:30:18Z

web version seems a bit broken :/ only see three characters on the screen and i'm not sure it reacts to any input. tag me if the upload is changed so i can properly rate it!

H. (A Harvest Puzzler) by ditam 2023-01-10T02:14:47Z

i had to edit the divs in order to get all elements on screen, for some reason it seemed to start half a screen above. couple things id consider changing - keep the palette visible instead of using a cycle button, it's a bit cumbersome choosing the tile you mean to use. - seeing the next tile color in a big square is more attention grabbing than the current tile color on the cursor, i sometimes mixed up which tile i had active - some kind of feedback as to which tile had an effect on a changing tile would be welcome, its too hard to make sense of it without the spoilers

hope im not being too negative  i think i like the idea you were going for

Planetary Planter by MidoriMelody 2023-01-10T00:35:40Z

itchio link seems to be broken :(

Planetary Planter by MidoriMelody 2023-01-10T01:06:44Z

played it now that the link is fixed. has a couple bugs (mouse is not captured so i cant freely look around, also fell off the planet) but i like the animations and the carrot person model

Astral Aberration by ModdingMachine 2023-01-09T22:50:08Z

it was a nice surprise that boarding ships was it's own play mode. didn't get too far sadly as the game froze when i tried boarding a large ship

Harvest Village by Dannyk1994 2023-01-09T23:19:45Z

i got up to 2435! its a fun puzzle. only two things i had issues with is that since the tile you pick remains on the bar you can get confused and think you have one more tile of the type. and it seems all tiles play the claim sound at the same time which results in a very loud sound.

DeadLyft by JoshH 2023-01-10T01:00:32Z

the way the dialog develops the character is nice. i ran into a bit of an issue where there were no more options to pick and it just repeated an old one (playing with mike on medium difficulty) very nice way to present a text driven game

FloraShift by togo sepultraut 2023-01-09T22:52:22Z

@pengu123 it does not. there might be times where there is no way to avoid a plant being downgraded or withering, you just have to pick the lesser evil in those scenarios :stuck_out_tongue:

Shroom Hunter by Patsui 2023-01-09T23:48:55Z

fun game to play. but by the way the enemies walk towards you, they cover up the loot and you get a shorter window of time to grab your items before it becoming. had a second playthrough with that in mind and did pretty well! up to day 14

Ethereal Harvest by ElMikosch 2023-01-10T15:12:39Z

i really like the ghost's sprite and attack animation, its very nice. some visual feedback when you get hit or when you hit an enemy would be a good improvement (mostly for the melee attack)

What must be done by Diego Teran 2023-01-09T22:02:31Z

cute game! the shooting speed can feel a bit dragged but it's overall fun

Harvest Square by xCarl 2023-01-10T02:41:08Z

i thought i'd gotten the hang of it and my second run was a lot shorter than the first  fun game, it might feel a bit unfair at times as a wrong piece will completely wreck any sort of order you had going, but thats just something that happens with chances

Social Mediæty by const_arch 2023-01-10T01:52:39Z

maybe im just very bad at it, but i cant seem to catch up on followers, behind by many zeros. fun narrative nevertheless

The 35th Tri-Annual Blitheport Harvest Day Jamboree by redoplus 2023-01-12T03:30:16Z

an incredibly well rounded game! i'd say for a game jam, but even without taking into account the time and resource limitations it's a very fun and complete looking game. it reminds me of old browser games like the ones you'd find on cartoon network's website it seems great for couch play or a party game. congratulations all around!

(Test) by TweekStudios 2023-01-10T00:40:41Z

love how it looks when you do all actions in sequence, moving side to side, it's quite cartoony. unsure if it's a bug or meant to happen, but if you take too long to harvest a plant it drops its seeds on it's own and leave the tile in an unusable state

Wandering Crops by FionaSprinkles 2023-01-09T22:40:35Z

interesting mechanic. it took me a second to understand that the diagonally moving plants would alternate directions. you might want to opt-out of the audio category if the game has no sound

The Garden Games by crashbashash 2023-01-10T01:25:42Z

rather ambitious to make a minigame collection for a game jam. but congratulations on managing to make it anyways! the walking speed is very fast which makes it hard to move around the hub or play the chapple game. i'd say my favorite minigame was the cabbits one, but it gets a bit lengthy as you very rarely hit a red cabbit by mistake.

Harvest Shroom by Achilnos 2023-01-10T02:27:31Z

im surprised how far our hero can go while eating random fungi across the path. its a fun challenge trying to work out which mushrooms to go for in order to make it to the end

Crop Rush by Multipixels 2023-01-12T02:05:07Z

nice puzzle game. i started playing thinking you HAD to move over crops only once so i got perfect scores for the first 6 levels before running myself into a corner haha. the music fits the game pretty nicely. if i were to change anything it would be the timer, it doesn't seem to be used for scoring but it works against the otherwise calm gameplay

Nocturnal Enrichment by Big Cyckos 2023-01-10T00:23:09Z

the geeky lady completely caught me off guard! funny that a game that included a linux build would have related dialog. only things i'd have doubts about are: - too reliant on mouse sensitivity, if you slip just a bit it might mean instant failure - closing the game after the first attempt instead of allowing a retry

Techno Plants by morpheyz 2023-01-09T22:30:57Z

even without the tutorial you catch on quick! could have helped to have a visual beat indicator near the root tip so that it's easier the course correct when you lose the beat

Thrown Harvest (for LD52) by matimat 2023-01-12T03:18:33Z

the bird is a bigger threat than i initially thought  nice game, you can play at your own pace focusing on one color or stocking up on all remaining colors and getting back to throwing as fast as possible. it just took me a second to realize that you had to stand on the throw zone for the spacebar to work

Harvest Heroes: a text-based anime-style battling game by algo_baker 2023-01-09T22:18:10Z

took me a couple of rounds to get to inflict any damage, but the results are responsive to the commands and it did make a good fight description

WARVEST by Erivas_Soulares 2023-01-10T00:33:58Z

movement feels a little heavy, specially at the start when al objectives are far apart. other than that, charming graphics and sound

Planet Harvest Unit by Harmofish 2023-01-10T15:00:40Z

nice risk management on the departures. it's also nice to get unlock more robots after completing a planet. i'm unsure about the jiggly ui though
