Very interesting concept. It took me a few times to figure it out, but overall I find the idea very interesting. I like the aesthetics, they are very fitting.
Enjoyed it a lot!
A pretty good result for the time. You should focus more on getting the controls on point for a 2D platformer, however I know how hard it can be and for the time you did really good actually. I like the whole style of the game and the music was only getting slightly annoying after a while. All in all very good job. I hope you keep working on it.
I like the idea and the mechanics are refreshing and interesting. Unfortuneatly I could not figure out how to actually gain income. So I got into terrible debt. Other than that I made it 5 years, so that's something.
Very fun concept. I like the artstyle you went with and I really liked the music. All in all a very solid entry!
Love the variety of puzzles you came up with and the stability with which the game works, you even have a Checkpoint system! All in all a very good result for a jam. You should advance on it and make more out of this great little prototype.
I got it first try! Never trusted that guy to begin with! Awesome game, loved every second of it!
That was amazing! The controls were so cool, I don't think I have ever seen a game made like this! Overall a very good job, even though it got my phone boiling hot :D
I really like the idea of controlling everything through the power. Even though it was not really draining and there was not much to do in the game I can see where you were going with this. If you keep working on it it could turn out to be something really cool. Oh and the artwork is amazing!
@mordokay Glad you enjoyed it so much you actually attempted to beat it! I am sorry about the key thing, it didn't happen during the little testing we did, and I just tried it 3 times and I also didn't have any problems. I will keep looking into it though. Anyways, thank you so much!
@everyone I really like all the good feedback, we had a blast making the game and I bet I also speak for @chron when I say that it makes it so much more awesome to see that other people are enjoying it as well! So thank you all!
Pretty awesome result for the jam. I was not sure whether I hit the arrows or whether I just completely failed, so a hit indicator would have been awesome. Other than that I like the style you went for and I hope you will keep working on it.
8x 5/5! This game is my absolute favourite so far. The graphics are awesome, the music is awesome, the gameplay is fun! It's just one of those games that makes you happy! Good job!
Love the graphics and the athmosphere that created through them and the music. Unfortuneatly I don't see too much of the topic in the game. I mean you do have a step limit, but through the simplistic style I can't really connect it to power running out. Anyways though, the fact that you have multiple levels and even some quite interesting puzzles makes up for that. Good job!
This game is awesome! The music, the sound, the graphics and the gameplay!
I also figured out that the enemies are subjective to friendly fire. And with that information the game can be stretched out by just running in circles collecting your enemies missed shots. Different behaviours for different enemies could help with that, but that is only for the future.
Now excuse me I have some piggy banks to crack!
Was a delightful fun little game. The mechanics are clear and fun, even though I don't quite understand how the dark secrets work. I played multiple rounds and I love the aesthetics.
Getting string "Sort the Court"-Vibes from this. Which is a good thing, since that game actually came out of another Ludum-Dare.
Anyways I really like the sci-fi take and your graphics are truly stellar. I can't wait to see what else you do with this. A really good entry!
I am in love with the art in this game, and the sound is amazing too. I thought the gameplay would be easy, getting by with only using the proximity bombs. But the arena size and different speed of the enemies make sure things don't get too relaxed.
A great entry!
What a really cool concept, I don't quite understand the story, but the gameplay is stellar. I wonder what kind of crazy puzzles you could come up with with just these mechanics. A really cool entry!
A fun little platformer, I love the Graphics and enemy design. Hiding does seem a bit aprubt, but you get used to it.
Good Job!
I loved the sound effects! There is just something about voice recorded sound effects that gets me. Too bad there are a few bugs, but that is normal I guess. An interesting interpretation of the theme too.
Well if that wasn't the hardest game of the Jam so far. But it was a good one! I got angry while playing this game, and thought that the game is unfair, but in the end i think that that's a good thing. It took me the advertised 20 minutes to get through it. But in the end I had a good time and that's what counts.
If I had one wish I would with for music, something to round off the general feeling you are setting.
Great Job!
A fun little game with some nice graphics. I was missig the music, but I adore the sound effects which are in the game.
The tutorial text could have used a background to be better readable, and I would have wished for some different enemies after a while.
But in total it is a really solid entry!
It is a bit frustrating, but I feel like that is exactly what makes it work. A really cool twist on the theme, and a well done implementation.
A really interesting take on the theme and the mechanics work well. But maybe the difficulty is a little bit too high, the field of vision often moves too fast to even react. If you look at a lot of established sneaking games, they are usually about moving slow and precise rather than slipping through cracks. But this shouldn't take anything away from what you have accomplished! This is a fun and challenging little game. And it is pretty too!
Unfortunately I won't have the time to get too deeply into this, but it seems incredibly well crafted and thought through. When I played it my birth rate dropped to zero though and I could not quite figure out why. You have my respect for what you created though!
Can I have my opponents deck?
A cool idea and an impressive implementation for a game Jam. I felt like my opponents deck was a bit too focused on healing him and some of the cards felt unbalanced. But that is normal for a gamejam. But if you made more cards it would have been cool if you could have chosen which deck you want to play with.
Anyways, such a cool result to come out of a gamejam, and especially the cards look so nice!
A very solid platformer and a great entry for the jam. I liked how you implemented the theme. I didn't get too far into the game, but I would have wished for some more things I can do with my hearts.
Definitely worth a play!
A short lived little game displaying the sad sad truth, in an exaggerated way of course. It get a little repetitive after some time, but so does life, right? :D
A lovely game which is really hard if you don't get the upgrades. I loved pretty much everything about this. Great Job!
A super fun and super cute game. I love these kinds of puzzles and some actually had me stunned for a while. Great job!
A really addictive clicker game. And I love the fact that overfilling on your resource causes you to loose. I honestly just sunk like 30 minutes into completing the game and I had a great time!
A really funny 3D version of where is waldo I guess? :D
I had a blast trying it out myself after seeing it on stream!
I like the idea, but the controls seem a bit weird, maybe that's because I am using a QWERTZ keyboard, but yeah. I like the idea, but I wish the people around would have actually served as a second shield that slowly dies off. A solid entry for the time you mentioned though!
I just can't get to space, but maybe there is a lesson to be learned here... Maybe ants are not supposed to be in space... Anyways, I had a good time playing this!
A small fun game that works well. But the balance could be improved. My planet also died for no apparent reason. Maybe I cooled it down to much. Good work!
A really solid entry with challenging puzzles! I loved everything about this! Great Job!
A really cool concept and I love how you have to sometimes only type half the word to not block yourself, but the you have to continue, since the word starts disappearing.
A really cool game with a lot of potential, would love to see a multiplayer!
A nice short game, unfortunately I am too bad to ever see what upgrades to my sword or shield do. But this could be a really fun concept if it was turned into multiplayer. Good Job!
I like the music, it is very fitting to the fast gameplay. It is a lot of fun, although defeat seems inevitable. I got to level 19 though. A solid entry!
A really cool puzzle game! I love the way you used the size of the coins as a puzzle mechanic. A really cool idea and very cool execution!
I can't figure out how to get past the first door. Maybe some written instructions could help :)
A really fun concept and great implementation. The tutorial could be better if it would actually react to doing the correct action and not praise me for pressing any button really. Other than that it is a solid entry and definitely a lot of fun!
@borys thanks for the feedback, I will look into the bugs you mentioned. It was very late yesterday. But thank you for playing! And thank you everyone else as well!
@krapht thank you for playing. You can now find the Soundtrack for Download on the Itch-Page
Oh boy if I don't have a new favorite super-hero! God this game is fun and the puzzles actually had me confused from time to time. A solid entry and a lot of fun!
A really fun idea, and doing something web based for a jam is always a big challenge. So good on you for doing this!
What a truly amazing game this is. I am glad you posted the guide, otherwise this would have taken me a lot longer to beat. (Not that I wouldn't have tried!)
If I had one minor point of critique to offer is that I often felt like I went too deep the rabbit hole, like there were multiple things I wanted to try in a scenario, but by the time I reached the end of a path I would have forgotten what they were. Something that might be helpful would be a visual representation (like a tree) of where you have been, and which scenarios still hold alternative solutions. I think this would be a nice help in not missing anything.
First of, I love the artstyle. When I started into the game it felt like a stealth game, which is what the description suggested and the music supported it. But I quickly found out that I have more than plenty on money to just shoot everything. So the game turned out to be a fun little shooter.
The difficulty could have been ramped up, maybe by making enemies faster or having more ranged enemies with a positional advantage. But other than that it is a really solid result for the time given! Give yourselves a pat on the back!
A really solid and relaxing experience. The audio is phenomenal and could not be more relaxing. The game is pretty simple and quite forward. I wish there was a way to zoom out though.
Wow this game hits close to home :D You did a really good job on coming up with the scenarios. I hovever missed the sound that would have rounded the whole experience. And it war hard to predict which answer will give me what. The first time I played I ended up low on money and I seemed to pick only the wrong answers, because neither of them seemed like it would give me money.
But this is a really good game for the time frame given!
What a really impressive entry for the time given! A really cool twist on the whole twitch plays idea.
Good Job!
!buy 1
A fun little brawler, I wish the button layout would have been a bit different, and that I didn't have to click to wager, but other than that it was fun and I was quite impressed by the AI.
A very interesting and fun idea and definitely one of the most innovative ideas I have seen so far. The animations and sound effect are on point. I wish you hadn't gone for 100 but maybe like 20 participants to make it a bit more manageable rather than just pure chaos for the first few seconds. But I really enjoyed playing this and I think you are onto something here :D
A fun little brawler, and the premise of needing cigarettes to survive is interesting and weird at the same time. Good job!
What a delightful little game, even though I don't think I quite understood the mechanics. I found the most efficient way to stay alive was straight up laser eye shooting combat. That worked out pretty well for me.
I had fun with you game, and I love the character models.
A fun little idea, even though it did not really feel like the occasions when you can attack match up with the beat of the music. Also it is really easy to beat the game by just waiting for all the enemies to line up and defeat them with one attack. But overall it is a cool game with fun mechanics and funky music!
What a truly unique and fun, but equally frustrating experience. Thank you for that, this was exactly what my evening needed, and I didn't even know it!
A cool concept and a good result given the timeframe. I would love to see this expanded on. The only bummer is the realism of your choices once you reach adulthood...
An interesting mechanic and a lot of hidden things to discover. Exactly down my alley. Great game!
A really impressive Game! The FPS movement feels just right, the jumps come natually and the sounds feel right.
I found one bug(?), that when you are reborn you need to first leave the checkpoint and enter it again to be healed by it again.
I would have loved to see some more content with the given mechanics, I ended up just running around the level trying out what fun platforming you could do with the bounce back.
And one last thing, I am missing the music in this one. Some Doom-Like rocky soundtrack would have totally rounded the experience for me.
But non-the-less this is one of the best entries I have played so far!
A fun little game that has potential. I would love a way to know how many scenarios on my coins life I have experienced. I could see this game going into a wario ware style of gameplay.
I love the fact, that the game relays fully on diegetic music! It is a well rounded little game that was a lot of fun to play!
A really cool interpretation of the theme and I could really see how this game could turn into something super fun with a bit of polish. Maybe other coins with different effects etc.
But I have to give you huge props for how good the platforming feels. That can not have been easy to do in the time given! Very well done!
The web version does not seem to work currently... I will come back later :D
A surprisingly difficult game. I wish there was more balance on where the blocks fall, because sometimes you just loose in the blink of an eye. Good job though!
A fun and surprisingly difficult game. A pretty good entry!
What a really cool little game. I guess a little hint on how to use the shotgun to get across holes would have helped, but I figured it out quite easily. The dialogue was well written too.
The momentum based movement gave me some trouble, but not too much. Sadly I didn't have the time to play all the way through, but I might come back to it later. A solid entry to the jam!
A cool concept and it is really hard to remember all the bacteria. Also I am really afraid of cancer bacteria now :scream: Untitled.png
An intersting short game. Unfortunately the UI is messed up in the webGL Build. (You should look into using Achors in the Unity Canvas) Other than that is is a well rounded and really funny looking game.
I love the idea of gambling with your health. Unfortuneatly I found the controls to be too sensitive, therefor I often ran off screen and died. but overall a fun game.
What a super cute game with a really cool idea and well rounded mechanics! Apparently my life is worth 75 likes, whatever that means :D
Such a fun experience, playing around with the different parts and such. I wish there would have been more parts to unlock, but I had a great time with what was given to me already!
A really fun little game. I love the sound-effects and I wish you would have made the music in a similar way. The gameplay is fun but it could me more challenging. All in all a sloid entry!
A fun little game with a cool concept. A little tutorial would have helped to understand the mechanics, but dying 4 times also did the trick! Would love to see a bigger version of this which allows you to take multiple paths and endings!
A fun little tetris clone, unfortunately I do not see the theme that much, but hey. I know how hard it is to actually recreate the tetris feeling, and I feel like you did a pretty solid job on that. You could have added some mechanic that would have made more sense with the topic, like you lose life every time you drop a block, but you gain life whenever you complete a tetris or something like it.
A fun little game, but it took me a while to find the coins on screen. (They are in the bottom right, for anybody having the same problem). Then i proceeded to gamble my life away. I did not have any children or money, but at least I finally got married at 85.
A really fun take on the theme, I like the way your ball gets bigger until if feels like you can't even loose anymore. Was a little suprised by the ending, I felt cheated but then the win message popped up and I realized that I had beaten the game. Well done!
Such a fun take on the theme with a great physics based game! The sound is hilarious and it is just the right amout of difficult! Great job!
A fun little racer that I am unbelievably bad at. Even my telicinetic powers could not help me. My enemies didn't even need powers to keep spinning me around and throwing me off. I am also pretty sure that they can teleport back onto the track, which I certainly can't, so this in not a fair race at all! I had fun playing it though, so good job!
A really impressive little game! The story is really cool and cleverly implemented. The platforming feels really solid too. Very well done!
A nice little resource management system. I liked how the curtain works, so you have to balance a lot or a little influence. It would have been nice to have an indicator for how long day and night are though. I am also not quite sure on what role the hairdrier and the watering can play. But maybe that is because there is a lot going on at all times, maybe some quiet times between days might help, just like a little pause that tells you "Day X Survived!".
Either way this is a solid and fun game, really well done!
Such a fun experience, I loved everything about it, the voice acting, the art, the simple yet effectful animations, even the controls felt fair. If there is one thing I would have to criticize it is that it is over too quick. I want more adventures of MAN and even though the ending might suggest otherwise, I am hoping for a return of MAN!
A really cool puzzle game, and I too wish you would have had the time to make more levels. I love that you can take away the commands and re-place them. Really well done.
A very cool artstyle I haven't really seen like this in a game. The game itself is fine for what it is, but I could have done with a better explanation of what is going on. Only by reading the comments here could I figure out how to succeed and get a score higher than a few hundred. Either way it is a cool looking nice little game!
Normally this isn't my cup of tea, but I think that you incorporated the theme nicely and the graphics are lovely! I especially like the garden supply store guy (though I already forgot his name). One point of critique I have is that the characters appear too big on screen. It is hard to read the text and stil gague their emotion. You should have stuck to the rule of thirds. I would love to see if you can bring this game to life with a fully developed story and tie it all together with some nice music and maybe a little voice-acting.
Those damn hacker aliens trying to get to my computer! A neat little game that is very hard. Well done for a compo game though!
I love physics based games like this. The hitbox on car is at times confusing. I would have wished for some more moving elements and more levels. But for the time you had this is a really solid game! Well done!
This was super fun! I loved how the captain would give you hints if you took too long doing something. I am really impressed, I only wish I could skip through the intro to play again a bit faster. I really hope the "Happy Cappy" enjoys his cookie in the end! A really solid game, well done!
I actually watched this game being made on stream a bunch. I don't know if you ever got around to implementing the later stages, since my little bear keeps dying after growing once. A really cool idea though and a nice implementation!
Such a cute little game! It wasn't clear to me how to get more POWER until I finally answered one of the questions right, so I guess POWER actually means smarts :D I think the theme falls a bit short here, even though I did play the keep it alive game to a score of 76 once. With a bit more balancing and a few more additions this could be a really cool game and it is definetly a really impressive compo entry!
A really fun concept that could definetly be built upon. I find it a bit weird that you can't tell which barrels contain water, and which contain oil. Other than that the game controlled really well and looked very nice. The sound was so fun, I love selfmade voice soundeffects. Unfortunately I was not able to beat the boss, or even damage him. Maybe I was doing something wrong... Well done!
A truly beautiful game with really nice audio. Sadly the gameplay feels abit lacking. I was also looking for a weird mushroom for a while until I realized that it was a sponge and that I had to clean my weird red god. Must be nice through to live in a world where it just rains food from the sky all the time. I don't know if there was more story than just signing the contract, because I got bored quite quickly. With a bit more to do this game could truly become something really cool though!
It didn't feel so much like a stealth game as an action game in which you have to remember the patterns and weave your way through. I could not get past level 6 "Land of the Giants", or at least that is what I have titled it now! You did a really good job on the graphics, I like the neon colors in combination with the PS1 aestetics. The game feels and plays really nice. Great job!
A really cool looking game, but somehow I could never plant anything other than a cactus. I even downloaded the later version from itch. I really liked the graphics and I feel like the game might be really challenging. I hope you fix it in the future (if there even is anything to fix and I wasn't just stupid). Really well done!
This game has some really interesting ideas and some super nice artwork. I feel like it could play a little diffentent using a turn based system perhaps, but I see a lot of potential here, so really well done!
My gamer senses made it super easy to handle everything ASD related but my brain could not compute the other side. A really cool idea for a rythm game, but I had the feeling the beat did not fully match what I had to do, and I could not tell whether I hit a note or not. With a little fine tuning this could be a really fun little game that I could see working well on mobile for example. Nicely done!
Such a cool little game and I found my 3 new favorite pixelart characters!
olives.png
Well done, the music fits and the dialoges are really funny. I sometimes skipped some of them when I was pushing too fast, but I think I caught most of the jokes. I don't know what else to say, this is a really really solid entry to the jam!
What a beautiful looking game and it is pretty impressive to see turnbased combat done in a gamejam! There are obviously some flaws with it, like the fact that you can walk away after taking the sword and then have a battle from far away, where attacking takes like 5 seconds, so it is impossible to beat the enemey, because your life ticks down constantly. But that happened to me only the first time sooo...
No seriously, this is an awesome little game that you should be proud of!
Man... Good thing I played this this morning and not last night, otherwise I might've not slept as well. You really push all the buttons of a good horror game. You have a nice buildup, and a very suspenseful atmosphere. I was really impressed, well done!
It is a bit confusing at first, but once you figure out that you can get infinite branches from a tree it gets a bit easier. I survived for one day before I got a bit bored and "accidentally" walked off the map. Well: birbIsland.png
Don't know what I expected :D Either way this was really impressive for a jam, I hope there will be a post jam version with annoying bird sounds!:D
A very cool take on the theme and on tetris itself. The graphics are very minimalistic, but fit together well. I honestly do not have anything to complain about here nor do I have any real suggestions. All in all this is super cool! Well Done!
There is so much to do in this game and so many things to keep track of. I wish there was an indicator for what is where and what's broken. One of the things was hidden behind some pipes and I wouldn't have found it if I hadn't bumped into it. I can see that there was a lot of ambition for this project and the fact that everything works and there are only a few things that don't work perfectly is amazing. You did a really good job on this game and with a bit of polish and some UI work this could turn out super cool. Really well done!
An amazing jam entry! The concept just blows me away and the whole style goes along with it. There is nothing more I can say other than well done!
The intro is soooo cool! And the game plays really well, which is impressive, because free 3D controls are really hard (at least for me)! In addition to that the game looks fantastic and has a banging soundtrack! Really well done!
I can see where you went overboard with your ambition, but this is a really solid result! Obviously the game is way too hard from the get go, but it is a bit easier in first person. The only downside is that you do not see when you are carrying a dish. There should also be a way to make the baby break out less often, like closing a door or something like that. The basics are here and a lot of the assets too, now you just need to sit down and get everything working together properly. And even though you scoped too big for a gamejam, you delivered something really cool!
A very creative twist on the whole 'Tetris'-Genre. Quite addictive and if you develop it further I'd love to see what this game could be. Great job!
I honestly don't know what to say about this game that has not been said already... It is a really solid and crazy polished game. It feels great, is super easy to pick up, sounds amazing and looks super clean! Really well done. Probably one of the top games of LD46!
What a fun little game. The difficulty ramped up quite fast and I lost because so many gnomes threw themselves into the way of the one gnome stealing my last chick. Who knew gnomes were such matyrs...
All joking aside this is a super solid jam entry that looks and feels very polished. Really well done!
A really fun game, the limited ammo and different weapons definetly sell this one! It still gets repetetive after a little while. Different enemies might change that. Nontheless this is a super solid entry to the jam. Great work!
A fun little game that get's the idea across. I loved the music it was really fitting. I wish there was more of an incentive to growing the plants, like different seasons during which plants grow, and maybe a goal to achive.
I expected something different looking at the thumbnail of the game, like a puzzle game or something. Either way well done for a Jam game.
I love the idea and ambition that went into this project, but I feel like it might have been a little bit too ambitious. There are some controls appearing from time to time, but half the time I did not know what I was doing, and also progressing the days did not really tell me anything about the process of my dough.
I did however enjoy myself and the music and and art are great. With a bit more polish and some more unified controls and a better explanation I can see this being a super fun game (maybe even a bit of a rage game?). Well done!
I saw this game played on some streams before i played it myself. It is a rather simple idea, but very well implemented, especially for a jam. The game looks really cool, moving around feels very nice and the music is the cherry on top. Really well done!
A really fun game that actually managed to get my brain smoking at times. I feel like Nyunesu pretty much summed it up, so I will just say great job!
This is a really solid entry to the jam, and a really fun one too. You hit exactly my type of humor from the sound effects and voiceover to the sheep flopping over when they die. Very well done. I wish there was some more challenge to the whole thing, different enemies or conditions maybe, but what can you do in 72 hours right? Really well done!
A fun little shooter which could use a little polish. I think that for your first jam you have made a pretty impressive game here honestly. There are obviously a few things that are missing or not working as intended, but all in all this is a super solid entry to the compo!
Such a fun small game. It seems a bit hard at first, but once you get the hang of it it works out nicely. Well done!
@emmyoop failed as in you could not play it, or you could not even download it? Because somebody else had a problem downloading the game before and it seemed to have been itch's fault. So if that's the case maybe just try again.
And since I am writing a comment now anyways I want to thank everybody who has so for rated and played my game! This is the most fun I had watching people play my game in a long while and I am actively working on the game because of that, so thank you. Here come the @'s: @mehrdadsh @evolving @nerd-everyday @topbraj @zeggamer @david-bohan @odeyalko @mrvarren @astrolabe @lvl76blastoise @oldblack @diinki @jonrei @kaelxd @terry @keybol @krassenstein @fatsheep @drums @aurel300 @1punnyguy44 @ursagames @oillen @jon-arvin-medalla @designernap
A very intersting concept, but either I was playing it a bit wrong or the second level really hast to be completely remodeled to pass through it. I see a lot of potential for a lot of really interesting puzzles here. A very cool entry to the jam and I would love to see how you might build on it.
Such a neat concept, I would love to see more of this, maybe give it a full on story. You definetly have something special here and you should build on it. Definetly one of the most promising games I have played so far! Well done!
A solid entry with a lot of heart. The graphics were super cute and fit the overall theme of the game really well. I could not figure out what the gumdrops do, therefor the game got pretty hard pretty quick, but was fun nontheless. Really well done!
A very cool game, I only with the stats would constantly stay on screen somewhere since it is hard to keep track of people that are sleeping or eating. But other than this minor critique I think you have made a really cool game! The graphics are super nice and the overall mood is great. I would love to see more like this!
A nice and short little button masher. The graphics look super cool even though there could have been a bit more blood for my taste. The cutscene was also really impressive. I was really hoping that the story would continue and I would have to fight on the street next. Really well done!
A cute little game, I love that you taught me something about japanese folklore by making this game. The inspiration really sells this game. The gameplay is nothing too special, but the art is really nice to look at and the music is super nice too. I had the feeling that the sun spirits always cause me to loose really quick, so I tried to just keep them out which seemed to work, however the game got pretty hard pretty quick so I never lasted too long. All in all a really solid entry to the jam, well done!
A really fun idea, that works super well. I love that the stones you throw have gravity, so you can make predictive shots. It also gets really fun once the bigger enemies come into play. Really well done!
As far as I can tell, the only way to loose is to get caught by the police, because whenever a guest would leave a new one would arrive just before they exited. So I turned down the music and started stacking up on gogo-powder and drinks and then the party could go on forever! Whoop Whoop!
This has to be one of my favourite games I have played so far. The graphic effects look amazing when the game is glitching out, the way the music changes. The game controls great an has a nice difficulty curve, though I feel like the wall spikes have an unforgiving hitbox sometimes. Really well done, I hope you take this further and turn it into a fully released game!
What a neat little puzzle game. I like the premise of offering multiple solutions and also that you have actually taken the time to make so many levels! Good job!
A realy solid entry, as others mentioned it is quite the button masher. But the graphics are really solid and remind of the game Kingdom, which again fits in with your game. Really well done!
A really nice looking game, unfortunately the controls are a bit badly chosen, since ctrl+d apparently creates a bookmark. But at least I will always find this game again! I feel like the leves were a bit too confined, I think instead of a crouch mechanic you should have focused on a combat mechanic. Because if I think of an mechanically enhanced icebear I think less of him crouching to get through tight gaps, and more about him ripping people apart. But that's just my opinion. Either way, this is a really solid entry to the jam with a lot of content!
Such a cool game! I loved everything about it! It is a bit too hectic for me, I can't keep track of so many things, and it took me forever to figure out how to get past laserclean...
But seriously this is a super solid game jam entry and I hope you might turn it into a full game!
If this is how a bee sees the world I do not want to be a bee. As others mentioned the controls feel a bit weird and using W did not work for me. But I like the general Idea of the game. However if you do use physics based movement try to make it either fully physics based or not at all. The complete stop you get when you release the key somehow made the game feel very slow, because accelerating also took long time. I think that if you tweak the controls a bit this could be a really fun game though. The music is super nice too.
Well done!
I don't know if I was doing something wrong, but I was moving excrutiatingly slow. It seemed like a really cool idea, but I could not get myself to deliver more than one load of wood because of the speed. The game looks and sounds amazing though, so really well done!
A really well crafted jam game! The pixelart is gorgeous and the sound effects are very fitting. I wish there was some music when the wolves are attacking. Either way this is a neat little idea with a really nice execution. Really well done!
Such a cool twist on Frogger! Really well done!
A really ambitious project for a gamejam. You did a really good job, but I feel like the game was a bit hard. It is essentially impossible to go downtown without getting infected. I bought medicine and a mask and as soon as I left the store I was infected again. I then procdeeded to cook a nice meal for my family which was a cool minigame. Then I went out to make sure everything is safe. Obviously I broke into my neighbours house who immediately shot me.
I might go back and play it again, but I do think you could tweak the difficulty a bit.
Otherwise this is a really solid game! Well done!
I love the art on the main character for this, and I wish you would have had the time to animate the flies. The game itself feels well balanced and controls nicely. Some more enemy variety and an end goal would have been a nice addition. Either way this is a cool and solid jam entry! Well done!
A really cool mechanic. I feel like you overtested some of the levels, so a lot of the jumps were really pecise and hard. But the game looks really nice and once you have the hang of the controls it is a lot of fun!
A really cool looking game, unfortunately the gameplay is a little bit lacking. I find it hard to remember where I have and have not been, especially if I have to think quickly. It would help if the different environemts would be a bit more distictive in of themselves. Like every forrest/swamp could have one element that makes it stand out. I also wasn't sure if I can bring the light back straight away or if I need to find every light before I finish.
Apart from that the music and the graphics are phenomenal for a gamejam, so really well done. Give it a little more polish and this will be great!
This is such a cool concept and a very moody implementation. But why are lizards so slow... It felt like it took forever to get stuff done. I died shortly after I saw an upside down lizard under a bridge, so I don't know how far I got. The game looks really nice though, especially the day and night cycle is a really cool touch. I also love that the tail was physics based and sometimes decided to just fly off. With a bit of polish this will be a really cool game!
A really fun experience, too bad Jerry was there and ruined it! Great job!
A really cool game with solid controls, but I think that the players fuel is depleting a little too fast. Like you need to take 2 crystals with you on one trip for the biomass to be able to refuel properly. The game is pretty skill reliant I feel, since you can just chuck minerals towards the middle before taking what you want. I tried a few times but never got more than 2 biomass to the planet without dying. A really solid jam entry though!
What a cool looking game! The text was a bit weird in the web version, but that's about all the complaints I have. The game looks amazing and plays well. I am really impressed that you managed to build fighting mechanics and a "find the hidden thing"-mechanic. A bit of music to accompany the feel of the game would have been great, but I get that time was short. I really hope you keep working on this, well done!
What a well crafted game. I loved the intro. The game looks and sounds really good. Unforunately I did not understand how many days I had left and I also didn't quite understand the importance of the start and weapons resource. I feel like a little more detailed explanation would have been great, and also showing your the change of your stats at the end of a day would be helpful, instead of just showing them slightly on the UI. To clarify this is complaining on a really high level. This game is awesome and really impressive for a jam. So well done!
God I am not good at multitasking... Again, there is no point in mentioning what has already been mentioned, but I do think that the music fits really well and that I like the graphics too. It is a really fun idea with a solid implementation. Well done!
A really solid entry to the jam, unfortunately I didn't get very far, because the controls are a bit hard using a QWERTZ keyboard. The combat feels solid though and the movement is well implemented. On top of that the game looks really good. Well done!
A fun Entry to the Jam, you took something minimalistic and gave it a good bit of polish. Really well done! I would have to agree that this could be really really fun on mobile.
A really cool idea turned into a very nice game. I feel like the jumping is a bit pushing because you fall too fast. I feel like I got pretty far, but then I jumped down a cliff where I could not see the bottom and landed in some water... Either way this game was pretty fun and the music is super nice. Really well done for a jam game!
A really interesting idea that I have not seen for this jam so far. The choice between killing something or keeping it alive. I think it would have been more impactful if you had to buy new weapons or health, but you only get money for enemies that you left alive in the end? Something like this. However this is a super solid prototype and nice work for a gamejam!
Such a solid game! I loved the voiceover, whoever did it is really talented, and if I might request an addition for the future it would be subtitles for those who can't enjoy these amazing voices. The pixelart on this game in incredible, the animations feel just right. The surgery is super fun and works really well, I only wish there was a way to replay the hint you get (maybe for a penalty). I honestly don't know what more to say about this game. It is truly an amazing jam entry!
A fun little game with a cool idea. Being able to pause the movement made the arrow section relatively easy. Was actually hoping for some more content as I reached the end, but I guess the princess is in another castle... Well done and I would love to see more!
A really cool game with a few flaws. I think the comment before me summed it up better than I ever could, but the biggest downside was the long respawns. Just put me back at the start not even a second to think about please! Really well done otherwise!
A fun take on the whole rythm game, i felt like there was a slight offset, as in the game says I was late, but I felt like I was on beat, but I may just be bad at rythm games. Really well done!
A really fun experience, not so much of a game, but that is not a negative! I just learned that there are multiple endings, so that's cool. It was a bit slow for my taste, but I am sure that is just personal preference. Great job!
I have played this for a good bit now and I am still not quite sure how the mechanics work. I also wish the intro was skippable. Other than that you picked nice style for a puzzle game and the music fits too.
I wish I understood the game better, but that's all me. You made a solid game!
I feel like there is a good idea for a game here somewhere but the game lacks polish in my opinion. It feels very bare bones. The music is nice though.
A really fast paced and fun game. I love the different game modes which make you wreck your brain. A really solid game! Well done!
God this is a great game! Please go ahead and polish it up! This was so fun to play and the playback feature is a great addition. I really hope you will keep working on this, it is truly one of the best games I have played this entire jam!
For a jam game this is really impressive. I would have loved to see some more interaction with the music, I tried slower and faster tracks and did not see as much of a change, so you probably need to improve on the musical analysis of the songs. But I can see this being a really cool game with some more time invested. It is definetly a cool idea that looks and plays nicely!
This is such a cool concept! I love how you incorporated the different chess pieces. As others said it is a bit slow, but then again so are most tower defense games. Really well done!
A cool little game unfortunately the randomness is very noticable for the events. I had stitches affection and inteligence all above 25 and I just could not get a thunderstorm to recharge my energy. It is a really nice read and the effects on the text are a nice addition. Add some more variety to the story and maybe ensure that some events don't happen twice or three times in a row and you will end up with a really nice game. Well done!
Such a cute little game! The levels felt a bit rare and especially the first one felt a bit long, I hope people actually play past that. The trees add a really nice mechanic! The best feature however was the dynamic music that played whenever the fish is outside of the bowl! Really well done and I hope you develop this a bit further and add some more gameplay elements!
I have never felt so sad about a ballon. The dialogue really pulls this one together. Great job!
A nicely done platformer, I felt like the hitboxes on the spikes were a little unforgiving at times especially for the tighter platforming sections. And some of the checkpoints felt a bit out of place. In general this was a fun experience though. Well done!
A neat little game, it felt very claustrophobic at times with the arenas being so small. I wish the game wouldn't kill you if you went off to the side. I don't see the theme applying too much but other than that it is a pretty cool result for a gamejam. The gloomy look and the music really make it come together.
I usually like first person platforming, and this is well done as to how the movement feels, but you need to try to cut the player some slack, like push him onto a platform that he only just reached. I like the artstyle you went with and even the mixing of 2D characters in a 3D world works well. I can see this being a really cool game with a bit of polish. Nicely done!
A very interesting mechanic which is well implemented and explained. I also really like the way you end a level with every character giving off a chime. I don't know if I agree with the more stylized levels like the dinosaur one. I think that the simple and plain levels helped focus on the puzzle.
Either way this game seems super polished and well thought through. Well done!
A really cool micromanagement game! It seemed really easy at first but got hectic fast. I love the color mechanic that was really creative. It all fits, the gameplay, the graphics and the music and sounds! Well done guys!
A really fun game, I loved the mechanic of switching characters, even though it screwed me over a bunch of times, because instead of me there suddenly was an enemy next to the milkman. Great game though all around!
A really pretty game with a lot of potential. Could use a little more polish, but hey, it's a gamejam. Either way, I think the dash should have a cooldown, but deal damage to the enemies.
Oh my god I love this game, I just spent 10 minutes rolling around and flipping as a fish... Either this game is really really good or I am extremely easily entertained. I choose to believe it is the first. Great job!
A fun game and I apprechiate that you made a little intro cinematic. It is a bit slow paced for my taste, but a pretty solid auto-scroller. Well done!
I was about to give up on this game as it only launched with a black screen, but boy am I glad that I read the comments and then proceeded to try starting it a few time. Because when it worked the fifth time around it was a lot of fun! It was really calm yet hectic at the same time. The voice-acting was great (HINT: Next time you do voice acting, try to add subtitles for those who can't have sound or can't hear to begin with). There is one bug I found, which is when you make the protein shake CHERI will say 2 voice lines at the same time.
I managed to produce 36 items before I got too hungry to keep playing and actually made myself some food and not more food for Dano. I wish there was a different sound when you made good food but it wasn't on the list, instead of Dano saying that it was disgusting.
This is a super solid Entry to the jam and a lot of fun to play. Well done!
A cool adaption of the theme, however I found it a bit sad that next to your cool title screen, there is no screen of a completely demolished mosquito after you get hit. I barely made it to stage 2 twice, but not further. The controls feel nice and make sense though, so probably I am just bad at the game. A bit fater progression might be nice though. Well done!
A neat little game, but I don't know if I found a cheat or not. If you press Space the sparks orbit around you in a bigger circle giving much more range, and they also do not dissapear after being hit anymore. Like this it was a breeze to get through the game. Either way the game looks nice and has a pretty cool idea behind it. Well done!
A fun little game. I kept my dog alive for a good while during my first playthrough, then I found out that I can show the stats. After that my dog kept dying faster... I am not a good dog parent apparently. A cute litte game with nice ideas for the minigames. Well done!
A really interesting entry! It is more an interactive artwork that it is a game really, but it hits the spot. Maybe you could mention that spacebar is the interact button somewhere. It took me a while to figure that out. Well done!
A really cool concept that you should definetly build upon. It feel like you can stay alive much longer if you keep a mouse button pressed while playing so the shadows keep brushing you every now and then. Maybe it would help if the game would freeze when you adjust time making it a bit more strategic. Additionally some sound queues might help telling you when you start melting. And a spot to regain life e.g. a freezer would be nice in some levels.
It is a really solid game, but I do need some more lore. Why am I an icecube in need of coins? What happens if I melt? whose house is this to begin with? I am so confused!
Really well done for a jam game and I am hoping to see more!
A very simple idea, but really good for your first Gamejam game! The UI could be a bit more visible and different enemies might be fun. But that's all future stuff! Well done!
A really cool game which reminds me of my own in a lot of ways. I love that you can place every item anywhere. If I had to critizise something it would be that the game space seems a bit confined and that you don't know how critical a need for a plant is. But those are really just minor things. You did a really solid job here!
Super simple, super fun! The music rounds up the whole experience. I really don't know what else to say... Really well done!
A cute little game. I feel like there should be a penalty for not clicking anyhting, but maybe that would make it too hard. The hearts are super funny looking. the game is pretty well rounded and looks nicely polished.
One thing I would want to mention is that you have a nice looking menu but no way to quit the game. A quit button goes a long way. It is very nitpicky, but if you take the time to build a menu you might as well add one. EDIT: Just saw that you already mentioned it... I should read your description more carefully. :D
Nicely done!
A cool little game, I wish I could shoot by holding the mouse down, because my finger got tired around wave 12. The music is a bit too calm for the action going on, but otherwise this is a really solid entry! Well done!
A fun game and a really solid entry to the jam. I honetly don't have much to complain about, other than that the hitboxes sometimes felt a bit unfair. I also thought that the game might be a bit hard, but once I got the hang of it I had no problem beating the game. The music was really nice and fitting and the graphics super cute. I only wish there would have been a little animation for when the aliens spawn, because not they just pop in. It would have rounded the whole experience.
Either way this is a super solid and fun game! well done!
Such a cool idea! I love the whole concept behind it and the way you implemented it is genious! I really hope the website stays around for a while! Nicely done!
A cool little game, maybe a bit hectic for a puzzle game at times, but you got the mood right with the music and the sound effects. I would love to see some more puzzle elements like switches enabling other tiles, etc. I think this would work well on mobile so if you feel like it this is defentetly worth pursuing. Well done!
A really nice game, I had more trouble keeping myself alive rather than the fire. It is a nice concept, but I wish the enemies had a bit more character, like what are they made off that they dissovle into fire once hit with a burning stick. The gameplay is really solid though and the music is nice too, especially the boss music is my jam! Well done!
This game seriously ticks all the boxes of any popular rage game out there! Catchy music? Check! Predictable and punishing gameplay? Check! Fast resets? Check! Just perfect! Well done!
This game looks super cool, unfortunately as mentioned before there are some issues on the technical side. I hope you get around to fixing those, because otherwise you have a really cool idea here that might even work nicely on moblie. You should definetly strife to develop this further, this is a really cool game!
Such a cute little game, everything fits, the music, the little sound effects and the mechanics too. It is a bit weird to lead people to your home on a leash, but whatever. I was really impressed by how you stylized the end of a level, with the lights matching the amount of people and them turning on when you walk in. Really cool stuff. I liked it a lot!
A very nice take on the "defend the thing in the center"-type games, the orbiting projectiles made it especially interesting. However I feel like the game could have played a bit faster, most of the time I was just sitting there and waited for the meteors to come in close. I also never figured out what the orange powerup did, since it ran out before anything got into range. Maybe it is just me, but I feel like the game could be a bit more stressful right from the start. Nice work though!
A really fun little game, though the controls were a bit confusing. I once lost my bot somewhere on the map not knowing how to find him again but wait. The mecanics are solid and the graphics are really pretty for a jam game. I wish there was a win scenario (if there is one I didn't find it I guess). Either way, a really solid game for the jam!
A cute little idea. Maybe a bit rough around the edges gameplay wise. You should mention the mouse controls at least on the jam and game page, I only found out by reading the other comments. The graphics have a very paint-esque look to them which makes the whole thing really charming. If you manage to sort out some of the quirks this could be a really cool experience. Well done!
What a cool idea! I love the way you combined the chemistry with the level design. I would have to agree though, that adding some music would help the game become even more fun. Also the way the game zooms in when you get closer to the core is a really nice touch. Well done!
This game reminds me of something... Like I game I played way back when... :D No seriously, a really cool tetris clone with some frustratingly good mechanics. The sound effects and music really complimented the aestetic. Really well done!
Quite a fun shoot em up, the graphics are nice and the music is a banger. Really well done!
Such a fun little timewaster. The controls could be put on different buttons since x and z are a bit far apart on a qwertz-keyboard. Other than that this is pretty cool and the random levels are pretty impressive. Well done!
This game is so relaxed! And so beautiful! I just enjoyed this as a really nice and chill experience in between all the other games, which require me to solve some timeloop puzzles! Really well done!
This was super cool! I loved the mechanic and the fact that you actually had time to make a cutscene and give the whole thing a deeper story. Really Really cool!
@midorimelody The game might take a minute to load. The Unity loading bar is not showing on the white background...
@phi Yeah I realized that too late and now I can't change it. Well I guess I have to live with it now. But thanks for the kind words :)
A really interesting concept but I wish there were some more landmarks on the floor to orient yourself on other than counting squares. I also wish that the place where a trap went off would be visible for a few moves, just so you have a chance to remember where you just died. Other than that this was a fun challenge for my memory. Nicely done!
God this music! It is so good! And the game looks and feels awesome too. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this. Really well done!
This is a really cool concept. I only wish there was a way to see what was coming, other than going through a whole bunch of trial and error until you heard the song for each level a few times. Other than that this game is great. The ideas for the movements you had are awesome and the artstyle nicely compliments everything nicely.
This game is so fun! Maybe it's just my type of game. One thing I would have liked though is the ability to quick swap my weapons using the number keys. Other than that this near perfect for a Jam game! Really really well done!
An interesting idea that is obviously a little rough around the edges. The graphics are nice though and I like that the handles of the doors change, so you don't have to remember everything. Well done!
This was so fun. I didn't expect to see a collectathon in a ludum dare. Really well done. The artstyle and the relaxed music fit so well.
This was super fun! I love the wario ware inspiration and the fact that you even implemented a wario ware mode! The animation is super sick too! Really well done! One of the best games I have played so far!
Such a cool game, everything just feels right, I don't even have one think I would like you to change about this. Really well done!
This is so much fun! It gets cofusing after a while, but I like that hitting the flag resets your clones. This is a super cool idea and really well implemented. Nicely done!
What an awesome puzzle game. The controls felt a little bit unresponsive to pull off the precise manouvers required for some of these puzzles, but other than that this is great. Really well done!
A fun little game but sadly it seems like a direct imitation of a game from the GMTK Gamejam ["Make the Way" by Vimlark](https://vimlark.itch.io/make-the-way). In general there is nothing wrong with taking somebodies idea, but you should always add a sort of twist, which I am missing here. The graphics are quite neat though I have to say.
A fun game which got quite tricky at times. I like the idea of combining the gems, but I got a bit confused that I had a very dark blue gem and a black gem just before the white. Either way this was quite fun and looked really nice. Well done!
The art in this game is really interesting. The characters look really nice, especially the main characters animation. And they work surprisingly well with the "drawn in ms paint"-looking backgrounds. I am not sure if the way you go through the portals is trial and error or if there is actual progression, but I honestly lacked the motivation to try and finish the game, maybe the dialogue needs some more openended-ness, making you wonder what is at the end, instead of being totally vague. But it's a solid jam entry.
A nice concept, but the rope made out of lead makes its it a bit of a struggle to move. Luckily the guards seem to be wearing boots made from the same material so it is fine. A really nice concept that, with a bit of tweaking could turn into a fun little arcade style game. Maybe add a timer on the levels to see how fast you escaped. Nicely done!
Such a cool idea and really well implemented. The mechanic of switching between safe and reset mode felt a bit weird at first but you got used to it pretty quickly. All the puzzles were awesome and took some thinking, but you felt your way into them slowly and the learning curve was great. Really well done!
A really fun little game, but I do thinkt the first level is too long. It took me several tries to make it through the whole 50 seconds. Luckily I was detemined enough to try and beat it, because the other levels are great and a good bit easier too. A really neat concept turned into a fun little game.
A really cute little game with a cool idea. I was hope for some more enemies, like ones that change lanes or ones that get bigger and kill you if you shoot them (otherwise you can just keep spamming shoot). Either way this was really neat for a gamejam game! Well done!
This was really cool, I love the artstyle you went with, the very megaman aestetic. The gameplay was cool too although I did mix up the controls a bunch. Maybe drill and attack could be one action, which would also make more sense with the downwards dash. Another thing that is cool is the veriety of enemies that you have added to the game, but I think some people might not even encouter the ones that appear later in the game. I don't know how to fix this though...
Either way, this was a really solid game, really well done!
This game looks really pretty and you were right, it was much more fun with a controller. I still couldn't manage to get even close to these highscores... 223 was the best I did. I love the big explosion when dying! I think some music would have been nice, and the plaforms to refuel could have been a bit more foregiving, because they disappear when you land on them and bounce. Other than that this is a really solid entry, well done!
God this game is fun! I love the voice acting and the platforming feels super solid! Just an all around good time! I honestly don't even have one bad thing to say about this... Oh wait... There could have been some music, but the fact that I noticed that only after closing the game and being halfway through writing this comment probably means that it is really a minor thing.
Really well done!
A really solid entry, I am impressed by the amount of puzzles you managed to fit in here, and that last one really got my head steaming. All that's missing from this is some cool music to go along with the rest of the briliant atmosphere you created. Really well done!
This is such a cool game. The mechanics reminded me a lot of games like jump king or getting over it! This was really cool. I think it would have been cool to manouver one or two objects through a whole set of obstacles using these mechanics! There is so much fun stuff you could do! This is a really solid entry.
Also, sub 5! hookmarine.png
Such a cool game! The mechanics behind this are so interesting, especially once the wobble goes outside of the circle and reveals the bigger areas to hurt you. But damn I hate those frogs...
Anyway this is a near perfect jam game and the only thing I was missing was some funky chiptune in the background. Really well done!
Such a simple idea, really well presented. The looks and music create a really cool feeling which is matched by the controls that feel just right.
I think you scoped really well and even though I didn't finish it, seeing other people do is super cool. Really well done!
Not bad not bad! There is a solid game here! It could use some balancing, because if you just hold the button and move left to right you kill pretty much everything without ever getting into trouble. But other than that this is a pretty solid game. Music - check, gameplay - check, AWESOME death sound - check!
If you have never worked with godot until this jam this is really impressive! Well done!
A simple idea well executed. I appreciate that getting an emotion into the wrong corner just doesn't count, because otherwise this would be a lot harder. The music is nice and the sound effects are awesome. I think you can be proud of what you have accomplished and the fact that you have a clear list of todo's seems to show that you did okay in scoping, since you did end up with a complete game loop and a fully playable game. So well done!
I love how well this mechanic works, once you have figured out that the map is top down. Maybe being able to get a 3D representation of the map would have made it a little easier to wrap your head around where you are. Other than that this was a super solid game!
This game looks super cute and seems really ambitious for a jam game. The mechanics are interesting but the whole game feels a bit slow and I am sure there was an idea for something to happen once you find an alien, but for now it is just this marker and nothing else. I see a lot of potential here! Some smooth jazz music and some nice sound effects would also help selling the vibe of this game!
Really well done!
So I thought I was really clever seing myself pushed out of the map. Then I scrolled through the comments...
Aaaaaanyways... This is a super cool idea, getting major braid vibes from this but with a bit of control taken away, which makes the game a good bit harder. Some of the levels were solvable without using the time warp, maybe you should have another look into that, but other than that this game is really cool. The graphics and the sound are on point and the gameplay feels just like I think it should. Well done!
A really fun game, love the UI in side the game, you should have added the score there as well. But there is so much potential here, sections without walls, maybe some obstacles that really throw you off, etc.
The one thing that is a bit wierd is how the bus immediately swirls to the right when you hit play, because that is where your mouse is. Maybe delay the input a little bit.
Other than that, really well done!
This was very well done! The music is so nice and the overall atmosphere of the game is great. It took me a while to figure out that I had to use the mouse as well, maybe you should add that into the description.
The general split of resources is nice and the way you upgrade items also works, the UI could obviously use some work, but you know that. What I think could have been nice if you would have put at least one of the little pearl thingys on the first level, so players know what they look like. Because I was confused if I was missing something.
Other than those minor complaints this is one hell of a jam game! Really well done!
This game just looks great, and honestly it plays great too. The only thing I got a bit annoyed from was the way the grenade throw was tied to my movement, which made clearing out the zombies on the second floor very tedious. I had some fun with the physics though, as some zombies started floating down the elevator shaft behing me.
There is a whole bunch of potential here and as I already said it looks amazing. Really well done!
MY god this game is good. There is so much polish here, the controls and the combat feel great and the mechanic is one of the most innovative I have seen so far. The difficulty ramps up nicely. The graphics are amazing and so nicely stylized. There could be a few more sounds, but I guess a jam game has to fall short somewhere, the music fits nicely though.
I honestly don't know what else to say about this. Really really well done!
What a cool little horror game! I like the fact that you get the hint about the right hand rule, which actually ends up leading you to the end when you follow it, but I think that hint should have come a bit earlier to keep people from wandering too much. Something you should also think about is that by giving the player the option to miss pages they might miss part of the story that you were trying to tell.
Other than that I think you did a great job! The lovecraft inspired story, the music that intensified the deeper you got. I personally got enough atmosphere from the game and could have gone without the jumpscares, but they we're not too over the top and I am wondering if I skipped some by moving along the walls.
The thing that bummed me out a bit is that I didn't quite get the ending I think. I decided to take the book, but it didn't seem to do all that much.
Either way, this was really fun, looked and sounded great, and had a good story too. All together probably one of the best games I have played this jam so far. Really well done guys!
This game is a beauty to look at and to listen to. The controls are, as people mentioned improvable. I was fortunate enough to catch a livestream of someone finishing it, I probably wouldn't have had the patience. This is a true storytelling masterpiece and I love it. If you don't win for Audio, I don't know who will... Really astonishing work!
What a really nicely crafted experience. First off, I love the inspiration and I do think that you really went in the right direction with this. The music warping at points was really fun, I would have loved it if if got weirder and weirder the further you progressed. Then The little things you did, the lights suddenly flickering, the trees all warped and weird, really good stuff. I with there would have been a bit more of that feeling in the player controls itself, like maybe give me the ability to shoot in all 4 directions, but make me releoad my gun for a second or two after every shot, just to show that helplesness more.
All in all I think this is a really solid entry that was really fun to play, also I normally don't like it when a game gets you stuck on a non exitable screen at the end, but it was really fitting for yours and a nice way to get the credits in too!
A really solid entry! I love the artstyle you went with, especially the enemies look super cool. I did find them a bit hard to kill though. The mines were really fun to play around with, especially since they are so bouncy. I am wondering if the mines actually do damage to the enemies too. With a bit more polish this game could be really really cool, and I wish that you will lean a bit more into the gory skeleton artstyle of the enemies.
Really well done!
God... I was prepared for QWOP and boy did I get QWOP! Every time you think you got the hang of it, you completely lose it just a second later and flail around like an idiot... Damn this game is good. My fingers hurt, but it is good. Really well done!
What a fun idea for a game, and it works well too if it wasn't for the movement... The super slow acceleration of the character made it so hard to control... If you fix that to make this platformer feel like a proper platformer I think it would be super cool! Keeping track of layer after layer, dodging snakes... Really cool!
Well done!
Such an impressive entry! MAking a multiplayer game that actually works well is really cool! Though light on features it was a lot of fun messing around with the mechanics you built. And hey, I did get pretty high on the score board, so yay!
Again, really impressive and full of potential. Well done!
What a pretty game! I did skip the instructions at first (as one does) and was a bit confused. Then I went to read them which made everything a lot clearer! A cool idea that is nicely supported by the visuals and sound. Well done!
God this was good! The puzzles were really cleverly designed. This reminds me of a little game I made ages ago and never finished. But honestly what you made here was better. I would love to see more of this. I wonder how easily this could be expanded upon, weaving a cool story into it. Especially for someone who like to be thorough ;)
(help help)
Honestly this was just great across the board! For some reason I did not have sound or music though... Possibly connected to the post jam version?
I love this mechanic, it looks so cool! I wish there was a bit more of a challenge, because you can just rush past all the enemies, but it is just so pretty to look at that I don't even mind that. I wouldn't mind if you turned this idea into a more slow paced exploration experience it could be super chill. Like play around with particles and just create like 1000 little worlds to explore, in the end you'd just be going through one of those endless zoom paintings in 3D space. Really love what you have got here!
What a fun little management game. I had a hard time figuring out how the shields worked, so my guys kept getting shot, but I eventually got it. A really cool idea that works well with the theme.
The graphics are awesome and the music is fitting. The only thing that could use a little work is the UI, but for a Jam Game this is totally acceptable! Well done!
This was super fun, it took me a moment to see the captains mug on his dashboard, so a little visual help there would have been nice, like a button to press that highlights all interactables. I can't wait for Act II! This was really impressive for a Compo Game!
For starting out without an engine I think this is quite impressive already, you have graphics, you have collisions and you have a working game loop. Better than a lot of people would probably fare with those odds.
Really well done!
This game look amazing, I really like where you were going with this. I would really like to see where you can take this if you sit down for like a week or 2 and pour some more time in. I have the feeling that with some bugfixing and some balancing this could be a really neat arcade style game!
So I kinda threw my box into Orbit!
ofVoid.png
This was such a cool game, the graphics are on point and the subtle soundscape fits nicely. The addition of a retry button is apprechiated as well. I could see this game working really nicely on mobile, so maybe that's something to consider.
All in all a really solid entry!
This reminds me of one of those old flashgames. You play it a few times, you get better and batter highscores. I left it running in the background for a bit, hoping I got the highscore. I feel like if you pep up the UI some more and add some more content and funny little easter eggs, this could be a really cool game to play during breaks etc.
Heres my Highscore: elevator.png
God this game is one of this, I will just play for 5 minutes... 45 minutes later flash games! I mean it isn't too hard to win and end the game, but if it wasn't for the end I would probably have played for a good while longer. This is such a cool mechanic, so well implemented. The music and the sound effects fit too. Something cool to add would maybe be a little alarm signaling when you are headed for a rock in the midst of a ton of oil fields, and a little zoom up when you break to show you the path you have taken so far. Other than that this game is near perfect.
Really well done!
Talk about sensory overload! There is a lot to keep track of here right away... I wish you would slowly introduce the different mechanics one by one. I had to look at the instructions like 10 times before I got a decent run going. Also, a quick restart would have been really nice, not having to go through the (incredibly awesome looking) intro animation. Now, negatives aside this is a really awesome game! Everything fits, the graphics, the music, the sounds and the gameplay! It is super colorful and fast paced just really fun! Really well done!
This was super cool and I think it would work really well as a board game. I think that it should be a bit clearer what each tile does in relation to other tiles, because placing a tile and loosing 10 points seems kind of harsh. But I do like the mechanic of saving your points by going down!
Honestly this was one of the most thought through games I have seen so far, and I wish there was a form of multiplayer here. I see so much potential in this game, I really hope you go further with it and turn it into a fun little puzzle game with maybe some nice story attatched!
A really fun little arcade game, the music is nice and hectic and the sound fit nicely. You can easily distinguish the different materials and tools you use so good job on that. This game is super polished too, I am really impressed, well done!
An interesting little idea that I personally find hard to wrap my head around. I think it would be easier if the objects coming at you had a clear weakness to the action you need to perfom. Also giving the buttons for the actions the color that it destroys would help, I had to scroll down like 10 times just to remember which destroys what color. I and lastly I wish the game would start out a bit slower and give you time to get used to the mechanics.
Now with all my criticism out of the way, this is a really cool game and other than the few things I mentioned it seems quite polished. I like that you have different sounds for the different actions so you get a clear feedback on what you pressed (it could be fun to change it to yelling of the actual thing, like "ROCK" "SCISSORS" "PAPER"). I like the artstyle you went with and just generally the scenery is very nice looking. The music also fits!
I think all in all you subitted something really solid here. Well done!
How does one make vikings even cooler? SHOTGUNS! Really cool little game, but what happened to the music? It was there in the menu, but gone in the game? That's too bad, because everything else about this game is great! The sound effects, the graphics! The gameplay feels good and the upgrades make sense!
Really well done!
What a truly fun game! Loved being able to make my metal dwarf with red eyes and beard, black clothes and pink headphones. I wish that some styles had some impact on the music that was playing during the game. And honestly that's the only thing that bugs me a bit, the music while being easy to listen to kind of fell short for a rythm game. It restated on every level with it's slow intro, I think it should just jump right into the action. And I also with the little count at the start of the level had some more feedback to get you right in the mood. Otherwise the gameplay is really good. The visual feedback for the beat works nicely and the mechanics work nicely. If you ramp up the music this is an awesome game!
Such a cool game! The graphics are on point and the gameplay feels really nice! I didn't quite understand if I was just stuck in a loop, but then I found the boss and it clicked. The hitboxes for melee could use a little tweaking but that is literally the only complaint I have. Really well done!
This was like a cool little escape room! I think I skipped a couple of the puzzles, or at least the one with the childhood bookshelf even though I knew where the answer was. The ending was a bit morbid, but it did get a chuckle out of me, so yay. The graphics were really nice to look at and the music matched the chill puzzle solving. Really well done, there isn't a think I would change honestly.
A really cute little game, while I didn't like that you could get stuck in corners and just die, maybe it would be better if you just took damage but would not get pushed around? And then just add a little bit of invulnerability time. Either way I love the fact that you took the time to build actual story sections and the characters look really neat. The texts in the memories were really well written and added a lot to the vibe. And lastly the boss fights were really cool, with the different patterns and all. Very well done!
The atmosphere in this game is great, but the mechanics felt a bit weird at times, like the level where the flowers were first introduced, the light shining through the roots on the lower right, but only working once the roots are gone.
With a little tweaking however I think this could be a really cool game. It is visually very pleasing and the music is also nice. Really well done altogether!
A cool little roguelike! I love the movement of the skeletons (move and shoot and move and shoot). I wish there was a little more variety in the shop upgrades, and an indicator as to when you actually land a critical hit, because without that the critical hit upgrades seem kind of useless.
Either way, the music and the sound really worked nicely with the visuals and I am happy that you added more after the "ending". You made a really cool game!
This is awesome, I love how stylized it is. I really wish there was some sound with this, and I hope you will add some in the future. This really reminds me of some old flash games you would play in class for hours. Really well done!
So cool to see a little collectathon created for a gamejam. The "level select" screen (if that is what is was) was a bit confusing, with the buttons all saying the same thing. The core mechanic of the springloaded jump and the terminal velocity display are super cool. I wish there was some sound and music going on, but this is a jam, so yeah. I don't know how much game there was, I played through 2 levels and I think I overachieved in the first one, so I think I have earned writing this comment!
All in all a solid gamejam game with a lot of potential and stunning looks!
Also, here is proof of my over-achievement: robts.png
This is a really fun idea for a game and it is well executed though. Also this game has hands down the best intro to a gamejam game ever! It is so stylized!
The mechanics seem a but weird at first, I could not figure out the difference between speed and rate, but other than that it was really cool! The music fit too and the chiptune sound effects fit in nicely. The tutorial you did put together was brief and to the point and that's a pretty good accomplishment for a jam game.
Really well done, one of my favourites so far!
What a fun coop game! There is just so much love here, the game looks astonishing and I love the character design. The fact that there are 3 different minigames is so cool and I love that you have to interact for at least two of them. The only thing that I would complain about is pacing. The game feels a bit slow at times, like I have the feeling a game like this should be hectic and you should be yelling at your co-op partner to do something, while for now the game is more like "okay we have done that now let's chat for a good minute".
I think that if you add a few more challenges and turn up the panic this could be a super solid game! But even now it is super impressive for a jam game!
A really fun little game, the fact that the enemies were not shooting at me, but in a random direction kind of made it feel like I was just murdering innocent cave people, and the murder sound kind of added to that. Either way I had fun and find what you did with the lights really impressive! Well done.
So cool to see a mobile game for the jam! I got to 22 points! It is a simple yet addicting game loop. If you exand on this making more levels, maybe some different mechanics I can really see this going somewhere. There is a lot of potential here, but even without all that, just the way this is it is a fun timewaster, the music is nice, the sound effects fit the visual artstyle.
A cool game, well done!
That was fun. The thrid time you enter the precint is a bit bugged, I could not look into the logs, so what I was telling Jawbreaker was a guessing game. But hey at least I got him. I think that you did a nice job on the writing especially using all those puns! The graphics were amazing and probably the best thing about this whole experience. I would love to see this fleshed out a bit, with a few animations and different endings. Also an epilogue would have been nice instead of just a game over screen.
But for a jam game? This is pretty damn good!
Well this surely was more of an experience than a game so far, but a good one. The very slow pacing and the sound effects really set the mood! There certainly is potential here, and I love that you certainly can't tell what it is that was chasing you. For a jam this is pretty nice and I would love to see more!
This game is so cool! I am getting major monkey island vibes from the graphics. The dialogue is funny, the gameplay is super clever and really solid. I wish there was multiple levels (like different chapters in the captains life), but that is literally my only critique point. I want more of this :D
Absolutely perfect! This game hits all my marks, it is super funny, it works well, and looks and sounds stunning! Really well done. The only thing I would wish for, is that it could be a bit easier on the timer. The game is difficult enough as it is, but having to hurry because of a tight timer... Feels a bit unnecessary (Maybe make the time tick up and introduce a highscore ;) )
A neat little idea, took me a second that the hats protect you, but once I figured it out I tried to collect them all. I wish I could have been able to stack more than 3 hats, but it would have made the game harder by giving me a bigger hitbox or something. And maybe once you reach the end, you have a score based on amount of hats you bring with you. Just spitballing here… I think there is some cool stuff to be done with this.
Thank you everyone ( @romfactory @tricky-fat-cat @yarin @tchaiko @denhette @terabyte @erikengineengineer @curleyrach @omer1615 ) for playing!
@eggland-games - Can't confirm, the blacksmith seems to work fine.
@leorid - Thank you for the feedback, I like your ideas, but the way the balance currently works makes it hard to place even more rooms, so I do think the over time function works best for now. Otherwise there is certainly some work to be done for the UI, and yeah an ending state would be nice, but for now you have the reward of knowing that you managed to build the monument!
@truedat - @javier-belmer can answer that for you!
Didn't see the theme as much, but the game is great! It looks super good, and has fun controls. The checkpoints are nice and forgiving. Really well done!
A beautiful 3D version of our own game :D No in all honesty this is a super neat game and I love the amount of options of play you give the player. The graphics are nice and the soundscape is very calming. I would have wished you have some music though. All in all a really nice experience! Well done!
A fun little puzzle game, the story is a bit darker than I would have expected, reminding me of "I have no mouth and I must scream". The gameplay is very simple, but the hints and items you collect are clever. All in all a solid entry.
Quite an interesting idea, I think something that might be missing is a description of the size that your gamespace should be like. I played with 12mm on a post-it note as to not be able to build long lines, but I did not get much further than 30 points before my clumsy hands would knock the tower over. Really cool and different Idea though. And the instructions are nice and short and explain the whole thing very well.
Such a cool game. At first glance it reminds me a lot of dicey dungeons, but the mechanics are suprisingly different and work really well. That combined with with this super nice artstyle and some fun music... Really cool. I would love to see more content, more classes, enemies and cards. Very well done!
This was incredible, it feels so good, looks amazing and yeah... I really don't know what else to say... Is there more than 3 levels? I could not press the switch in the 3rd level, so that's how far I got! unknown.png Seriously so good, I don't think I have ever seen a more complete and more ambitious game in all of the LDs I have participated...
A fun take on tetris, incorporates the theme well and the little spikes and extra blocks add a nice bit of challenge. I wish the controls would be a little less complex, but it does make sense that you give the player the options you do. A pretty solid entry I just don't understand the table, because the table itself seems to be the most stable thing in the game. :D
What a cool little game, the whole vibe reminds me of a game I made a few years back, but it suits the theme really well. It took me a second to realize that I wasn't the one making the stars fall, but actually that I have to drag and drop the people (but I guess I should have just read your description...)
The graphics are lovely, the music is fitting and the gameplay works well. A super solid game, well done!
This is such a cool game. I love the setting and the artstyle. The music and soundeffects are fitting. The game plays really nicely and seems well balanced, I never needed more than 3 attempts to clear an area. Really really well done!
This is super cool, very atmoshperic and of course reminds of limbo. The only thing that threw me off was the death sound, I think a soulless squish would have served better. Other than that this is awesome, the gameplay feels solid, the urgency of the insect chasing you works perfectly. Really well done!
This is a weird game :D It feels like there is a lot going on, but it is very overwhelming at first glance. I saw this on a stream first before playing it myself and it didn't help much. I know which stats are good for which positions, but a tutorial would have figuring this out so much easier. Also having weird names for certain stats only makes the whole thing more complex. All in all I do see some potential here, but you have to do some work on making things clearer, especially if your game is basically just UI. Either way, this is still quite impressive!
Haha I love the pun and the game you built around it! Apples really are the best! This surely was blast (pun intended), I also love that you had the sheep level with a different mechanic. ballpit.png
Now please excuse me I have to chill in my ballpit!
A very fun little idea, but a little too hard, I wish the you would only loose if the wood touches the farmer, and not the tractor itself. Also the breaking was a bit aprubt. All in all this is a fun little game that could use a little tweaking and some more levels.
This game is so cool, a real brain melter, especially once you combine Queens and Kings... But the music and the artsyle really work for a simplistic game such as this. Really well done!
A neat little idea, it was a bit overwhelming at first, but once you figured out how the different particles work it was quite nice. A lot of the time it is just chaos but I think that is what you were going for. I did eventually manage to beat the game, so yeah :D Really nice entry!
This is such a cool game! It obviously reminds me a lot of happy wheels, but with a super fun twist! I would love to see what other vehicles the old man employs for his delivery services and when will he expand to like tropical islands and stuff? Seriously I want more!
Oh my god... At first I thought, oh, this is fun, a little physics based tower building game with a pun. But then I lost... And now my stomach hurts from laughing! What a strike of genius to let the tower fall in slow motion while the music just keeps going and you see disaster unfold... So good!
This is such a fun implementation of an endless runner! But after running for a bit I was wondering if it wouldn't have been easier to just fight the shark :D No, seriously this is super cool and I love the ideas you had for obstacles. The only complaint I have is that sometimes it is a bit hard to jump between the ships, especially when they are rocking. All in all a super solid entry!
What a fun little game. The mechanics work well and the audio is just perfect. I would have loved a few more visual elements to discover, like some animals or other points of interest. But all in all this is a very solid compo entry!
What a crazy ambitious game, certainly not something I would have ever expected to see as the result of a LD. Sadly I did not manage to finish, but there is so much potential here, the music that gets louder when a cultist approaches, the different perspectives of the rooms. Really well done!
God this game is pretty :D The gameplay is fun, but the timing takes some getting used to. Overall a nice idea with a very nice looking implementation. Well done!
This game is amazing, I am not talented enough to contribute, but I spent like 10 minutes just walking around and admiring other peoples art. A really cool idea, I love how the theme ties into it too. Well done!
This game plays so well, I really don't know how the controls work so well... The graphics look amazing and the audio is also super fitting. I never managed to get past the 2nd secondwich, but still... I had a blast! Well done!
This was super fun, also to see how the game gets to its knees once you play with 0 pellets. It is a fun concept that definetely has some potential. Well done!
God this game is hard... Been trying for a while and I couldn't get past the blue stage... I wish the controls were just a little crisper. Other than that the style and the music are really awesome. Well done, maybe I will beat it some day...
Very cool little game, the amount of variety you have in your upgrades is cool, it would be nice if they had a bit more synergy. The game feels a bit quiet though, which creates an interesting mood, but doesn't fit the overall gameplay experience, so maybe add some of that ;)
Well done!
What a cute little "keep it alive" game! Interesting fact, that the burial cost more than the entire money I spent on him before his death. A fun game that fits the theme well. Well done!
This game is so cool! The animation is impressive for the timeframe, the story is super fun, and the minigames are well implemented. Really well done. Color me impressed!
Such a cool implementation of the physics stacking game. I love the fact that you actually have to estimate when to stop, that puts a really nice twist on the whole thing. Overall a really solid game, and the story is just a little too relatable...
This such a cool game. It feels super complete and I love the artstyle. The tutorial feels really neat, but you can skip it by accidentally hitting the right mouse button. Also, playing in browser and using the mousewheel to turn the gun is not the best combo (you start scrolling). But those are minor flaws for an almost perfect game. Really well done!
This game looks and feels just amazing! I love the different designs for the enemies and the way they change how you play. Very well done!
This game is so funny, the audio is exceptionally well done and the mechanic is super original and fun. Took a moment to grasp what's going on. Really well done!
A solid little juggling game, the different powerups make for interesting scenarios, and the physics make it really fun! Graphics and sound also fit the artstyle. The only thing I would wish for is a bit more variance in the trash that keeps flying.
This game is just perfect! Everything just works, the music, the sound effects, the different abilities all tied together by the nice visual... Simply awesome!
Poor Blant... The controls took a little getting used to, but after a while I had it figured out, and then it felt like learning a speedrun, trying to find the best ways for how to beat each stage. Really fun! Well done!
This game is super cool, I love the artstyle and it took me a moment to understand, that your goal is to find friends that help you in the bossfight. I was super impressed by what you have done, and this could really be a very complete game as it is. Minor issues with the hitboxes of enemies, but other than that... very well done!
A very great game. It reminds me a lot of Gungeon, but in a good way. It feels very tight, the pickups make sense, and the gameplay loop is fast and solid. Really well done!
A fun take on the whole typing game. Well implemented, with a nice topic and artstlye to it. Well done!
A very fun an chill experience. The idea behind the game is super interesting and I wish that there was a little more to do. Like finding little hidden things, even if they are just visual and not interactable. Definetly a lot of potential here!
Such a cool little physics game! The inspection mechanic also works nicely to prevent the "I will just jam up the exit" approach. Overall really nice!
What a perfect jam game! Seriously there is nothing here that I would change. This is so polished it's crazy, and there is so much content here too. I am at a loss for words, so yeah... Well done!
What a throwback to uni this was... Super clean UI and nice sound design. This is a super fun take on the theme and a really well done implementation. Well done!
Such a cool game, get chaotic real fast, but I love the concept I fell like there should be a way around planting everything in one corner in the beginning, because with enough iframes and the similar cooldowns on the attacks you can just run through a big lump of enemies. All in all a super solid game!
Loved this game, it is an interesting alteration of the game I made last LD. I loved first was concerned of using a QWERTZ keyboard for this QWERTY game, but it turned out fine, since the words all corresponded to the buttons. It is a really cool idea nicely executed, and I think you can be forgiven for the missing phone and the rushed art, I for one thought it looked nice! :D
Love the One Piece Tie in, but I really would have loved a downloadable version for windows, since the browser version lagged like crazy for me. From what I could play though it seemed like a pretty solid implementation of an overcooked style game, the time mechanic seems a bit tight for a game like this though. But overall really well done!
This has so much style, and feels so polished! Really well done, and I love the ideas you had for the different teams! Really well done!
@kostas-nik should be there now... Had to add it twice for some reason...
Not the best, but good enough: screenshot.png A very ambitious jam project that works well enough, I feel though that the meteors could rarely ever hit me when I was going full speed. A nice take on the theme though. Well done!
God this game is amazing! I can't even begin to think how hard this must have been to build, but everything just works so well. The instruments and "instruments" all sound so good and it is crazy how well everything just works together. I am stunned, this is definetly one of my favourite games of this jam so far. Really well done!
Also I hope we get a most highly rated songs video (like a top 10) after the jam as a community post!
A really cool game and a fun take on the theme. I would have wished for a little pushback on the enemies once you spawn back into the battle or like a second to readjust myself to the situation. Either way the game feels like it has a lot of potential, with some more weapons and other upgrades. Well done!
Love this game! A real little gem! The only think you could improve is to add a little icon for the bosses on the outline of the radar to know which direction they are in, and maybe you could give them a little more distinction through color. Other than that this is a perfect little jam game! Well done!
This seriously is one of my favourite games of the jam. The idea is so good, I would love to see a more developed version of this concept, maybe with the random teleporting taken out and some acutal controls for where you want to go. This would make a really cool puzzle game. No. It is a really cool puzzle game. Really nothing negative I can say about this. Really well done!
What a super cool entry! One of my favourites so far for sure. The scaling of the enemies seems super well thought through, especially for the triangle enemy. I only wish the music was a bit more in your face, since the punches seem super "punchy" :D
This is a super solid platformer with a cool side mechanic. The theme is only barely scratched, but I will let it slide, because you made an otherwise near flawless game, with gorgeous graphics, an engaging story and amazing platformer mechanics! Really well done!
Played it during a stream with a bunch of other people! So much fun! The mechanics are really fun and the fact that it is a multiplayer game just blows my mind. Really well done!
An interesting take on the theme, the urgency of the 10 seconds feels a bit lost though since the game overall feels a bit slow. The puzzles are interesting though, in general a very round concept that I could see me playing on my phone on a long train ride or something!
This is crazy impressive for a jam game! Especially since there seems to actually be an AI at work behind the enemies. I honestly don't have anything to complain about here. Really well done!
A cute little game with a fun idea of giving you buffs and debuffs at the same time. One thing I would like differently is that you as a player should always be given 3 different options for your buffs, since I assume the debuffs are randomly chosen. And maybe there should be some kind of logic behind which buff can come with what debuff, because a damage buff by 20% doesn't work that nicely with a 40% health increase of the enemies.
Playing in browser gave me no trouble, and I gotta say I love this game and everything about it! There is just so much charme here, the music is great and the animations are stunning. really well done guys!
Finally got around to playing this, a solid platformer that feels nice to control with a super cool "I have no mouth and I must scream" tie in. I can see this game being a section in a bigger game with an actual story. The fact that the 10 seconds don't limit the time you play, or the length of a level was a refreshing take on the theme. Really well done!
A fun little game that I found very... unforgiving...
I talked about it on my stream a bit but I was not too big a fan of the waiting around when you already knew you missed your one chance at making a certain section. Some checkpoints would have been nice. Otherwise I really liked the artstyle and the thunder effect was really nice! The platforming also felt solid, so really well done!
It's a super cute game an a really nice take on the theme. Some of the jumps were a bit tight and took multiple tries, but in general this is a fun game! Good Job!
I really dig the artstyle, the game is fun but does get old relatively quick, if you don't get hit you eventually have enough candles to just survive forever. But with some balancing this could be really neat. Well done!
A really neat idea that was really well executed. I loved the artstyle, but I could not kill more than 5 enemies at a time. Really well done!
e10s.png
There is a lot in this game, the overworld looks interesting and I think you could do a lot (like hiding upgrade for the battle etc). The battles themselves are cool with each enemy having it's own kinda mechanic, not bad, however the hitboxes seem a bit weird, like I got hit a bunch of times without touching anything. As for the story I don't even know what's going on, but I assume some eldrich chenanigans are going down. All in all I think you might have bitten of more than you can chew for a jam, but ended up with something solid either way.
Also maybe you will find the time to update the game page description after all :P
All in all a good entry for a gamejam!
Wow! What a really cool game. I love the static controls in a 3D environment. It felt very smooth. The graphics are awesome and give off an awesome mood! I didn't finish the game due to time, but I was expecting a horror element at any point! My favourite effect is how everything get pitchblack when the torch runs out and slowly fades back to a low light. Really well done, I hope to see more of this in the future!
Super solid game, the controls work, the upgrades make sense and the overall gameplay is fun. I wish the icons for the currency and the ammo would not be the same, that was a bit confusing at first. But overall this is a super solid, super fun game that I could very well see expanded into something awesome!
A really satisfying little game, the first time around I got really overwhelmed, but then I realized how the yellow crops are spreading and once you focus on just keeping them under control the game gets almost too easy. I think it could help that once you are full you actually don't cut down the fields anymore, so you are forced to return as fast as possible, because you can't stop the spread anymore while you are full. Just a suggestion. Either way, a little highscore would have been a nice touch too. All in all, well done!
Such a good game. The music is a bop, the gameplay is unique and fun, the upgrades make sense and the items are really fun too. I got a score of 244k+. Really enjoyed this. Well done!
This was awesome! Felt like a good flash game of old. I wish for more honestly, more buildings to place, more enemies, and maybe a little faster gameplay curve (the beginning of the game stretches a good bit).
humans_harvested.png
Honestly, this was awesome! Well done!
Fun little game, I think I got a pretty decent score here:
harvestmaster.png
I honestly have nothing to complain about here, a super solid small game that has me curious if it is possible to harvest everything... Well done!
An interesting take on the theme, I found the controls a bit confusing, as well as the fact that you can only do certain actions once. Other than that I had a great time, all the different vegetable types are great, even though the cacarrott is still my favourite. Well done!
A really awesome game, the graphics are awesome and the 3D and pixelart work so nice together. I wish there was an indicator to what is worth how much, because I just focused on the golden things whenever I could, but that seemed to have worked out:
goblin.png
All in all an amazing little game! Really well done!
God this game feels so good! The platforming is super tight and challenging (I would love a gamepad controlled version!). Please make more of this, this was so cool, I can't imagine the shenanigans you could come up with the corn cobs and carrots combined. Seriously this is so well done! One of my favourites this LD for sure!
I give up... I found a lot of the things, but some of the puzzles are just too hard for me I guess. I have no idea what to do with the fish, or the anvil, or the lightbulb, and I have tried a lot of things, believe me. If you want to give me a hint, please do. But this is where I gave up:
screenshot_tnfs.png
All in all this was a fantastic puzzle game, I agree with the sentiment, that the stuff laying around gets too much as some point, but all in all this was super fun and super surprising in what you can create. Well done!
I don't think I can add much to what others have pointed out before. Showing where enemies will attack would be a huge help. Getting reset to level 1 on hit is quite punishing.
Otherwise the game looks great and it all fits! I also love the plants vs zombies reference on the first plant.
A bit of polish and this could be really great. Well done!
I gotta say I am baffled by the times people here in the comments got... I stumbled around for like 5 minutes before I harvested my first crop :D Once I got the hang of it it went a little smoother though. I must say you have done great work here for a jam game! The visuals are nice, the mechanics work, and I love the little world you built. Really well done!
What a fun shooter, I am sad that my score was not submitted and I gotta say that I am a bit disappointed by the fact that the british tractor did not speak with an accent or overly posh. All in all this is a solid little game, but I think the ammo on the weapons is either to low for how "weak" they feel, or they just need to be stronger. The mechanic of opening up different areas with the currency is cool, but I mostly found myself growing health and then running from one health spot to the next, because the most effective weapon was the scythe, so I also constantly took damage. The pathing around the hill is a bit broken for the lawnmowers, so they are no threat once you go a bit up the slope. Oh and also the tractors kept spawning in the maze for me and then just kinda floating in the air without moving, don't know what's that about.
As I said all in all a very solid game that could be super fun with a bit of balancing and some polish.
I love the artstyle, and it is a funny take on the theme. It is a bit frustrating, that you can pick up people/crops that are just growing, sometimes a human just chose to grow right were I was landing. Overall this is a fun game though and as I said before, it is super fun to look at! Well done!
Finally got around to playing your game! I saw a bunch of the making on stream, and I gotta say it turned out just as nice as I expected it to. The mechanic is super unique and works really well. I do believe that there might be some balancing still to be done, but overall this was fun and really satisfying if you actually got a good combo going that worked even after a ring was turning. Really well done!
What a fun little game with a lot of potential, the mechanic of planting your health to get it back increased is a cool idea, however once your health is full and you play rather careful you don't really have to use it anymore. Some more enemies and actual character development on levelup could make this a really interesting game though. Either way, for a jam this is really impressive, graphic and gameplay wise!
What a weirdly intriguing experience... I am not sure first person works best for this type of game, since you tend to run backwards into stuff, also getting to the vending machine got hard after a while. I wish there was a way to skip the "intro" as it was a bit tedious after the 3rd or 4th time.
All in all this was a super fun short experience! Well done!
An interesting idea the reverse tower defense. But you should try to explain the game and controls a bit better. For those who are stuggling to do anything (like me for the first 5 minutes):
- Right click with the shovel builds paths, while left click removes them - With the arrows you can move your sphere thingy anywhere with a path - Every piece of level you build costs souls, every piece you remove gives you souls - Spikes or water, once placed can not be removed - Once you have a path between the staris and your green sphere thingy, hit play and watch the magic happen
I don't think the little cross thingy does anything, and in the web version the buttons just stopped working at some point, thankfully there is the download version.
I think you have something really interesting here that when expanded could turn into a very fun game. I would love to see where you could take this. A nice prototype for a jam though, well done!
I honestly don't know what to say. If I had stopped playing at any point I would have thought WTF, but that one message at the end brought it all together. Really well done, but maybe add a little content warning to the game page.
A cute game that reminded me of some old flash games! I was surprised that I could use any element as often as I wanted, but in the end it turned out good, because I would not have managed some levels without putting down like 10 rocks in a row. Really well done!
An interesting little game, the mechanic of killing enemies to gain their abilities worked really well, I also like that you don't HAVE to use the abilities, therefor the game not becoming impossible if you missed a seed. The game is also really well paced, explaining stuff as you go along, I think that works really nicely. Well done!
A funny little rythm game where you have to hit the beet (get it?)! This was simple but great, and the idea of making a rythm based game during a jam still blows my mind. Really impressive that you pulled it off!
This was super cool! I am really impressed with how well your balancing works! The cards are all intelligently designed and the mechanics of the game are super easy to pick up. I am surprised that you did not add AOE damage cards, instead the vampirie blast felt a bit overpowered. Either way I could really see this developing into something truly awesome, all the groundwork is done. Really well done!
Fun little game, but the third level seems too hard for me :D I tried like 10 times and the closest I got was -61. What can I say, the game looks and feels great, could make a fun endless runner. Well done!
An interesting game, I think that the controls would feel a little nicer if they worked like this:
- up key -> accelerate - down key -> slow down - left and right -> rotate head left or right
But that is just my preference. I loved and am really impressed by how well the destruction of the buildings works and was quite surprised by the ending of placing the buildings. A really cool entry with some impressive tech in there. Well done!
The game idea is great, however it is a little unclear when you actually lose fruits, there are the sound effects, but a little more of a visual indication might help. Otherwise the game looks and feels great, the only complaint I would have about the controls, is that you have to press B to buy stuff, it might be better if you had like a little gate that you have to drive through to buy. It is also quite hard to read all the text when you are going fast.
Okay, enough complaining, the game is great and I had fun playing it, I also like that you end it by going to the game developer. Well done! :D
Glad this ended up as good as it is. Was fun watching you make it and it is fun to play it and watch people play it. As people said before this is a classical Pomo game. Really enjoyed it. Job well done!
What a silly little game, I gave it 3 tries and this is the best score I got:
itscorn.png
The chill music works nicely with the general stress free atmosphere of the game. I with there was a little sound for charging the cannon and a sound for the corn plopping down. All in all, a solid entry. Well done!
EDIT: I also found out that my face is indestructable, so that's neat!
An interesting take on the theme, and it is cool that you came up with an alternate conclusion to the story. I like the visuals, and my only complaint is, that the text when you eat the liver is always the same, a little more variety here would have made this a nice round experience for me. Well done!
What an amazing game, unfortunately the game crashed (in the web version) as I was trying to buy something when all slots were already taken. Buying fountains early really helped in the late game. I love how you have taken this simple idea and just took it to the moon! Like everything about this feels so good and polished, it reminds me of the flash games of yore. Really well done, definetly one of my favourites this LD!
A moody little game, especially once it gets later and the lighting comes into play. 2 times I did not manage to collect all the resources, always one short (I almost feel like the game is designed to make me fail). I loved the art, every sprite looks so good. I almost wish there was more, and also a sense of danger (maybe buried mines or something, so nothing too actiony but rather looming dread). All in all an nice entry with a good bit of potential. Well done!
What a fun short game! The graphics are super impressive, and the soundtrack together with the soundeffects complements everything very well. I like how chaotic things get, once you get past like 10 souls. My highscore is 15, but maybe I will try again later. Well done!
A weird idea of a game, strangely captivating (even though I was basically hoping for something more to happen). I wish there was just more to do, like more upgrades, other ways of investing your money. It also bothered me, that the letter I typed showed up as upper and lower case, even though it did not make a difference for the submitting.
If you are looking to keep working on this I think it could be fun to make the things you type actual recipies for different types of cookies (the same 20 words over and over get boring after a short while). And then just think of how the player could use their money.
A simple little game, I can easily see this being expanded with different abilities and weapons you unlock with the souls. However I did not feel like I was getting stronger by collecting the souls, all the enemies still took the same amount of hits. Also I think that there should be a little risk reward connected to harvesting the souls, because currently you just kill everything and then harvest. If you had to be fast or something like this it might feel a little more rewarding to harvest the souls. Also, what's with the jumpscare at the end? :D
All in all a solid entry, well done!
A cute little game that looks great. I wish I could hold down the mouse button to swing instead of clicking frantically. I think I did quite well:
plums.png
A fun little experience that I could see expanded in the future with some actual goals to achieve, maybe upgrades that you can buy with your plums to make your harvesting more efficient. Good job!
A really cool take on the theme and a very original idea in general. I love the claustrophobic feel you created when in between the corn. The spacial audio also helps a lot. Really well done!
A fun little game, I found the fact that you have to gather all the tools first a little unnecessary, but once you had them the game made sense. I played until all the enemies were defeated and harvested up to 100 life again. You might want to adjust the balancing a little bit, since I felt I spent the most time getting water. All in all a solid entry!
What a lovely little game, I gotta say that I am a bit disappointed that your little credits avatars didn't appear as characters in the game! I also would have honestly not minded a few more puzzles with the mechanics you put into place. I mean you even implemented a full on boss fight! This was awesome!
Okay, I give up... I got everything maxed out, I farmed like crazy and near the end I even found a bug which let me max out my money. But I just can't get that last achievement...
(The bug is, that you can click the produce (like bacon) when it flies away to the top right, so if you keep clicking it there, you constantly get the money for every click)
pigs.png
All in all a very addictive little idle/clicker game! I turned the sound off at some point and just played it on the side. I think the farms could be a bit more rewarding, or their ticks a bit faster than what feels like 10 seconds. But I played this for a good hour, so I really can't say that it gets boring or mundane. Well done!
A fun game so far, with tight mechanics, however a little bit too hardcore for my taste, I couldn't even beat the first boss and I gave it a good few tries. Some indication of how much health the boss has left would help out (not necessarily a health bar, but just something visual). I tried fighting the mage as well, however I am unsure how my new ability is supposed to help me in the fight... But maybe this is just not my kind of game, sorry.
But as I said the implementation and the controls are tight, I could see this going somewhere, and an audience is clearly there!
@egorexw I am not sure, maybe a change the color of the character, or the color of some particles he is emitting. Maybe give the enemy some armor which he progressively loses, or in general change his sprite. You already have the indication of multiple phases, but those phases could be cut into smaller intervals which don't necessarily change the behaviour, but just the visuals to give you a sense of progress throughout the fight.
Obviously you can always still go back to the health bar, really depends on what you think feels best.
A cool little game, as you mentioned the start is quite rough, but once you get the hang of it it is actually quite fun. I could really see this working as a bigger game where you unlock more stuff with your stored harvest, and more enemies and bosses, etc. A solid jam entry!
Also I don't understand why you don't want to get rated on graphics, I find the style quite good and it doesn't seem like you used any third party assets.
A chill little game, but the world felt a little empty. I wish that there was some intention behind the collecting, who am I collecting the fruits for? why are there no animals or other people around. Something like that, maybe a story you can find by exploring. Either way, what you set out to create was a chill experience and I think you managed to do just that. Well done!
A super cute little farming game, I found the mechanic of having to switch back to your hand a little confusing but after I got used to it this was a really pleasant experience. The graphics are awesome and the music and sound effects work really nicely to underline the general chill tone of the game. Well done!
This was surprisingly stressful, I love how much you got out of this one relatively simple mechanic. The fact that you have to draw newly every single time works really well, but I would love to see some upgrades, which allow me to water multiple tiles at once or something like this. Really well done!
A super cool idea that could use a little polish. The sound was a bit too loud to start with, some options are always nice. Secondly I though that I had to deliver the fruit my god asked for to them and the fact that whichever plant grows is luck based didn't help there. Then my god suddenly was summoned after the second fruit I gave them, maybe that was a bug, I don't know. Either way unfortunately I only played the game alone, but I can see this being really fun with two players.
Also the art is super nice! Well done!
A funny little game, I think it would have been a little more intuitive to turn the character straight to where you are pointing the right stick, instead of using it to rotate your character, but that's just personal preference. I love the sound effects even though they were a little loud. I think that nobody would mind if you uploaded a post jam version that also supported another input. Overall what you have here is good, but as it was said before, a little more polish could go a long way!
This was really cool! I loved the artstyle, this was almost like a full on graphic novel! The gameplay was a little bland, but all in all this is a super impressive entry for a jam! Really well done!
A fun little rythm game, I don't know if there is punishment for hitting the wrong buttons, but I assume so as I got a score of 1 at the end after i was smashing all the keys all the time, but a little visual representation would have been nice. The graphics are super cute though and making a rythm game druing a jam can't have been easy. Well done!
What an interesting little game, the little twist with everything changing was fun and caught me really of guard the first time around. I like the way the game controls, I am just wondering if it would be a little more fun to control if the spinning changed direction on every click. That way you still have to wait sometimes, but it would make it easier to go in a straight line. Either way the graphics and soundscape work nicely. Well done!
What a cool concept! The progression felt really good until I hit the 3rd quest, then it got really stressful and I once to to missing only 2 wheat... but eventually I gave up. I would love to see this with some more balancing and even more challenges. The mechanic of using your death is super cool. Really well done!
I like the general idea of this, learning about different languages regarding a specific topic. The general implementation is good, I am just wondering if the physics based driving (which was a lot of fun, especially when you don't touch the ground for like 20 seconds straight) was the best method for implementing this idea. Either way, a cute short game with a cool idea. Well done!
This was super cool! I love the idea and what you did with it! I honestly have nothing more to say other than maybe add more adresses. Really well done!
What a cute little game, the graphics are SO good! The start is a bit slow, but once money come rolling in it gets going! The music nicely underlines the idle game vibes this game gives off. Really well done!
This was so cool! I loved all the dialogue and also how you always get one more message when you interrupt the dialogue. Really well done! The game looks and feels great and the whole premise is just amazing!
This was super cool! The combat felt super creative and the narrative was nicely done! I think in the second act I only had to fight the final boss, the rest was just collectables, maybe the randomness can be adjusted here a little bit. All in all this was good fun!
textGameEnd.png
Hey @bashem thanks for the Feedback. I use Globalstats.io and their provided documentation. I think it uses UnityWebRequests, never had any problems with it.
Fun little game, the controls could use a little tweaking (I wish I could have taken sharper turns) but I like that I could climb the big tower. I honestly spent more time just messing around with the movement and the controls more so than actually collecting and delivering the discs. Well done!
diskDashers.png
Such a cool entry and cool way to tip the theme on its head. The highscore would probably be nicer if you got an actual list, instead of an approximation of your location. Either was this is super creative and quite hard (didn't get past night 3). All in all super impressive and super good looking! Well done!
What an amazing game! The mechanics are so cool and the artstlye really nicely encapsulates it. Seriously one of the coolest games I have seen this LD!
Such a neat game! The way you introduce mechanics is brilliantly done! The cute graphics and nice audioscape turn this into a neat whole package! Very well done!
Okay, I give up, I got to 9 out of 10 like 4 times... The throwing is so frustrating, especially since you basically have to always just aim for the lowest possible anlge. All in all it is a super cute game I love all the stuff that is going on underground while I struggled above. I think a little bit of tweaking around the throw mechanic and maybe making sure you can reach body parts if they fall behind the tombstones in the back, and you have a really nice game here. Really well done!
Okay I know there is no point in me trying to get a highscore here, the highest I got was like 33k... But I really like what you made here! Well done!
This is awesome! I love the way the different events give you traits and items so you can prepare for the end. I see a lot of potential here! I hope you carry this a bit further. Also with agile and mask the king dodge event was a blast :D
God this was such a cool game! I had the inital idea to also make a game that is a bit inspired by papers please (I assume you were inspired by it)! And I was wondering when you would introduce special rules, but then you did, with the whole at least 2 things need to be wrong, etc. Really well done! Also the scoring system is super cool! Probably my favourite game this LD so far!
Cute little game I agree that wasted boxes should influence your result, so you could go for a 'perfect' run! Either way this was fun and I think I did alright:
droneGameScreenshot.png
The controls are a bit janky, but that's what you'd expect from a physics based game. I am wondering if not having the packages collide once you pick them up might make the game feel a bit better, also having a bit more generous collision boxes for certain object might be cool, so you don't get stuck behind fences and stuff. Other than that a super solid game as always, was a lot of fun and I am happy with my score!
pomosGame.png
This was so cool, the controls felt a bit weird at first but once you got the hang of it it worked really nicely. I think you did really well on level design giving the player different challenges but also allowing for multiple solutions at times. And then everything gets pulled together by the awesome artstyle. Really impressive entry!
This started out as a cute little puzzle game, but the mechanics with the portals and then the reversed inputs really put this on another level! This was super fun, really well done!
A really cute little Idea, I with the throw would have been aimed at where I am looking, but that is just nitpicking. This seems like a complete cute game. Well done!
This was really quite cool! You get a million style points, however I wish the game was a little harder... You can fly high enough so the arrows don't reach you, and even withing range the arrows are not really a threat. The controls feel good enough to make the game a little more action heavy. All in all a really solid entry!
I really like the universe you have crafted here, I was very happy that there was no lose state (or at least I did not find one). The story is well written, however I feel like different color text might have helped to understand who is talking (the transition between character talking and player talking was hard to get at first). The control scheme is super cool and interesting though!
This game has such a chill vibe. Loved every minute of it, and I find the controls super impressive. You have managed to build a free 3D movement system with super intuitive controls and that deserves my respect! I wish there was a time attack mode in which you have to deliver packages as fast as possible. But all in all this is just plain cool!
Excellent entry! Got a pretty good score I think:
Screenshot 2023-05-02 112607.png
What a crazy entry! There is so much here, the map the graphics, the gameplay, the wonky physics... Really well done, but twice I got stuck so bad that even with spamming R I could not get out again. All in all super impressive. Well done!
A nice little game, the ui Icons that show you where to go do help a good bit, but the movement still feels a little too slow, also I don't know if there is any real lose condition. The music feels really good and I am not sure if the was a rythm game aspect, if so, some visual feedback would have helped. All in all a solid entry!
A fun little game but the mechanic of throw object and then jump on it would work much nicer if the objects would be fixed once they hit the spikes would make this a lot easier. I also think the mechanic, that you have to restart from the very beginning when you lose all your lives is super punishing. All in all with a bit of polish, this could be really fun.
A cool little game, I like the mechaninc of using the tall packages to climb higher, I feel like the movement could be a bit smoother, like you could move left and right a little faster. The artstlye is nice and the music seems fitting. All in all a solid entry, well done!
A funny little idea using the quicktime event for a thing that requires timing. I also liked that you have a multitude of jokes so on the second playthrough you don't get the same jokes again. Well done!
This is a really impressive entry to have made by yourself. Really well done! Honestly not many notes I have, except for a game named "release the meat" I expected something a little more gnarly! :D
What a super fun platformer, it feels super polished, from the art to the sound desing and the controls. The only thing I would complain about maybe is the size of the spike hitboxes, they did feel a bit punishing at times. All in all a super solid entry, well done!
packitup.png
I actually love the controls in this one, it feels so fresh even though it is so janky. I don't know why the quota is in dollars, but you deliver bananas, even though a banana is worth 1$ from what I can tell. Never made my first quota, but I guess no one does...
Not my game... But I have watched a bunch of people playing it an I must say the game does everything it does well! The level design is on point! With a bit of a graphical overhaul this could really be something I could see people buying on steam. Really well done!
Sensory overload the game! I think this game feels exactly like it should, took a moment to figure out the strategy to get going, but with 2-3 "minions" and a bit of RNG I had a great time. Really cool entry!
Wow! This was awesome! The only thing I would want to improve is the visibility of which die face you rolled, without having to hover over it. But the mix of Slice and Dice and Super Auto Pets really had me hooked for a while. If you posilish this up and also add an element of adjusting the dice I am sold! Really cool entry! Well done!
A cool take on the theme to make it a detective game. I feel like the amount of hints blanaced against the amount of information that you had to forrest through felt a bit unbalanced. I only found 2 clues and there was SO MUCH TEXT. I can also reiterate that the font could have been a bit easier to read. All in all this was super impressive though. Really well done!
I love the micro managemement that this game makes you do. A really cool entry that looks and plays fantastically!
An interesting take on the theme that you are the one being summoned and not the one summoning! I got the couch quest twice, so I assume it is random which mission you get? I love the visuals of the player character. Really well done!
Round Peggle! I think the idea is cool, something cool could be a spell that allows you to act like a peddle and knock a ball back once or twice. All in all a cool idea well executed.
A cute little puzzle game with a neat idea. I however often felt that you just summon everything and then see how you can move them the best. Pretty neat all in all though! Well done!
A very cute little game that show how fun very simple mechanics can be! I think the thief is a little overpowered, but balance was never a requirement :D Really well done!
Such a cool idea! I love how the wind travels across the whole screen, so a wind that helped you for one ship can mess up another. The only complaint I would have is that the collision box for ships colliding with each other could be a little more genorous, I have lost multiple ships because I thought they would sail next to each other and they then just crashed. All in all a super cute game and an awesome first entry!
