I watched this played, rather than played it myself, but it looked nice and chill! Nice music (especially the little end reward which got a 5/5 for humour and audio from me!) Great work!

Hello Ludum Dare. I would like to report this game for being too sexy.
Please reduce the sexiness by 40%
Nice! The game felt like a fun 3D platformer, with good momentum and movement code. I was watching here and there on your stream (Ursagames)!
One criticism is that the enemies kind of felt a little pointless. They definitely added themeatically to the game, being literal bugs, but I found that skipping them was almost better as it didn't drain the battery. I think that, as a whole, the stakes of the game needed a bit of balancing, but hey - I played it all the way through, so I still had a lot of fun with it! Great work to the team!
Very cute! Love the production. The lack of engine made this a very crisp experience. Very technically impressive!
Haha a silly concept, but very fun! Definitely a bit too hard to play, though, in that turning is very unforgiving. Sound and graphics were great for a short turnaround!
Nice! This is a really slick and clean entry. Beautiful art, interesting mechanics, and the sound design is perfect. I can see this being expanded upon quite easily, moving between kitchens with different recipes etc.
Great work! Top marks from me.
This was a solid entry, game play wise I didn't run into any bugs which is an impressive feat in itself. It's quite short but sweet, I did fumble about until I scrolled down and actually read the controls but once I did I get the hang of them pretty quickly! Cheese hat was my favourite, thanks for the entry and keep up the good work!
This is a really great and unique idea, I think it took a lot of creativity and talent to implement this as well as you did. Thoroughly enjoyed!
Watched it played on stream - very innovative and interesting! The art was stylistic (if not a little rough on the eyes haha!) so it had a bunch of charm. The fact that it's in javascript is next level! Your SFX are phenomenal.
I gotta be honest, I don't really get it. I think the UI might be a little bit too clunky, and there are a few too many controls for a gamejam.
With that said, I can definitely see that there is a lot of effort in the UI, and the sounds that I could wrangle were well produced!
Honestly I really enjoyed playing this game, it is a very unique and fun idea executed very well. You should all be very proud of the game you have made in such a short amount of time.
I did find it a tad difficult and I did end up stopping at the level with the medieval tower, however it is still playable with trial and error to help you figure out what to do.
Great work keep it up!
Wow! I only watched this played, so my experience is second hand, but I love what you did for the theme! Lots of work clearly went into this. Good work, team!
This was really quite a unique experience. I really like the emergent understanding of wtf was going on. Perhaps the "Download", "Move L", "Move R" prompts etc. could have been a bit larger (though that might be the fact that I am playing on a 2K monitor).
Loved the satellites, though the range and number of connections seemed a little bit intuitive.
Overall though, great work and a unique and intereting interpretation of the theme!
Agree with the other comments - there just isn't much stuff to do. It seems like it could turn into a good premise with some more work, but at the moment, it's a bit bare. Looks like you had fun making some animal models, though! And that's what is most important.
Loved the design and look of all the sea creatures and the music was fun without getting too annoying the longer you played which is nice, however the hitboxes for items in the water felt inconsistent. Overall a great submission!
Overall a solid entry! Well done
Loved the ambition! Unfortunately, it just missed the mark for "fun" for me! Still, you should be stoked with the massive amount of effort put into this, with so much production in such a short time! Well done!
Nice work! Definitely less of a game, and more of an experience, which in my books is no small feat for a gamejam.
I started to lose interest on the text adventure one, unfortuantely, and stopped there, but the small and silly minigames up to that point were hilarious. Well done!
Good work! It's a clean, well-realised product. I feel like TD's are tough for a jam because they are quite slow and the player typically doesn't play, and unfortunately this knocked down the fun for me a bit, but the 1-bit graphics, the UI, and the concept was well thought out. I don't know if I really got "Unstable" from it, but I don't personally care about the theme that much, I just like it when people make things and they are proud, and I can see the pride in this. Awesome!
I was too dumb to win this one. I feel like it is a bit difficult to understand what is going onscreen, and it was painfully hard to shoot the seagulls.
With that said, it wasn't buggy, and the procedural generation seemed very fun to figure out and implement. It had a nice feel to it overall! Well done!
Nice! This was a great implementation!. An awesome balance of things to do, and even though they were basically all just different versions of a click and drag, the feedback was nice, the art was pretty, and the thematic concept was well put together.
I only cleared 3 days, but I assume that each panel was the same? I would have liked to have seen a new mechanic on a new panel - different type of valve, or a different kind of meter. Apologies if this was indeed how it worked but I lost interest before getting there (not to say I didn't have fun!)
This is an absolutely gorgeous game with interesting mechanics, but it's just not very intuitive. Might be a bit too complex for me this gamejam, where I'm trying to play so many games in quick succession. It doesn't quite have that fun factor for me.
I can't get over the UI, though - so good! Great work and I would love to see something like this further developed. Strikes me as a good idea for an idle mobile game or something.
Sound was cool, and the shooting felt chunky. I would probably like to have been able to click on the enemies for some weak damage, as that would have gotten away from that classic tower defense problem of sitting and waiting. Still, a bit of fun for a short time. Good work!
Haha not really sure there is a winning condition here, but I am a fan of metalcore, so the game got better when the music hit! Fun stuff, great work
Awesome little game well done!
Absolutely loved this!! So smart, great art, really clean implementation. It is a really good balancing act. Really well done!
Aww, this is adorable. Had a great time with it, well done!
I think that the trail-and-error nature of aiming was maybe a bit tedious. Calculating at least the start of the trajectory would have helped a lot, particularly with the projection. The sounds and art were great!
Wow! Blown away by the quality of this entry. Graphics aside, the mechanics are fleshed out, and it kind of feels like building the rails in front of a train. I feel like my only bugbear is not being able to raise the camera upwards - I couldn't see the planets in my local area to skim some fuel.
Overall, I would not be surprised finding this kind of a thing on Steam with a little more development. Great work
Bit tough to get into this one if I am honest, but I think enough people have mentioned this. Unfortunately, fun was missed for me, BUT you should still be stoked with your efforts! It's not easy to strap something together that is playable in the timeframe, and I bet there are a few great game moments in this one.
Well done, this is an awesome little spin on a side scrolling platformer. I really enjoyed that this is a reference to an amazing short story by Charlotte Gilman and I really award the creativity especially with the theme of instability. Great work and keep it up
Hey man, good to chat on stream. It's a very fun speedrun game, even though you made in a short time and there isn't much content. I still played it many times over to try and get that time down! All the pieces have their charm, and it's a funny design. Good work bro
Great work for your first game! Brings me back to Pokemon on Gameboy! Love an ice puzzle. Awesome work
Thank you so much for your submission, really lovely work :)
winlose.JPG
I winlost! I can see you had some good fun in Godot making 3D models, experimenting with lights etc. Was definitely a bit tough with some slippery car effects.. felt more like I was controlling a ball than a car, but the sound was good, camera was interesting, and it had a good arcade feel. Thanks for submitting!
Wow this was so much fun! Dunno if this was on theme, but I don't care that much as the audio and art was great. Haven't seen something like this before. Nice work!
This game was pure, unadulterated, chaotic, physics-based fun. A perfect jam entry!
RIP Erad Mudul, 1949
Very cute, and a great showing off of the Godot engine! Good work!
This could be a fun concept - i.e. block physics platformer, but the execution is a little off. CTRL/ALT to shoot was not a good choice, I am afraid. CTRL overwrites the browser (I found myself bookmarking the game instead of shooting) and Alt caused me to spider my hand uncomfortably. Left Click was the clear choice for shooting!
Other than the awkward controls, the concept seems good. I don't know if I'm getting "UNSTABLE" from it, but the physics counts for this in a way with the unstable boxes. Overall, a good entry that could use some review, but otherwise a functional, and seamless game!
This game looks like it would be fun, but I honestly can't figure out how to get any parts on the screen.. tried every key I could think of? I think this needs some instructions.
The art looks great though!
Thanks heaps for sharing this on stream! Had an amazing time playing it keep up the good work :)
As many have said, this game is beautiful. I am astounded at how much you were able to do in terms of sound in the time allocated. Like several others, your stream kept me going for this jam, and I'm so happy for the end product. I was there with you in the small hours where it felt like it wasn't coming together, and you singlehandedly turned it around. Great work as always, Adam!
Your game is great!! So unintentionally (or intentionally) funny. It had a very high concept with a very simple mechanic, which I think is a great kind of entry for a gamejam. Great work!
Very nice! This felt to me like it was very inspired by something like The Witness, but also with binary hex puzzles thrown in, which I absolutely adored. I had to play this one through to the finish, and the difficulty curve was perfect. It was really satisfying to finish the puzzles. It's probably a bit on the lighter-side of the "Unstable" theme, in premise alone rather than gameplay, but I don't think it suffered for it.
I can see this being expanded on, for sure! With a few levels of terminal where each one gets longer and more complicated strings.
One thing that I would suggest is to have some kind of "quick reference" for all unlocked codes. It was a little annoying to go through multiple pages to figure out what I needed. Also, as you mention, changed code part-way through the string was a bugbear, and it was a bit annoying to start over if you realise you used 10 instead of B7 too late.
Overall, loved how emergent the gameplay was, and how you slowly introduced the game to the player. Props to Godot 3D also!
Really loved the animation and character design. Overall the game was implemented and plays really well for a game jam game you should be super proud of what you've been able to achieve.
I watched this on twitch, so caveat that I got my experience second hand, but the atmosphere is great and very spooky. I like that you worked as a team of beginners with one lead, and it turned into something great! Teams can be a challenge for such a short term. Good work to all involved, and especially @lower-third, the wrangler!!
Nice game, it was intuitive and has game pad support witch is always a bonus. I unfortunately was not fast enough although I am sure if I spent a bit more time perfecting my mad dash around the place then I think I would have it down pat.
Awesome little platforming game, I really enjoyed the art style and the graphics the purple pink background was very pretty. The controls were pretty good, the main character moved quite quickly and the jump height and duration was really good. I didn't find myself getting too frustrated.
Overall a really good submission for the jam keep up the good work :)
Obviously the "balancing" game comes up several times with this theme, but rather than having a person balance a plate or something, it is nice to see a game where they balance themselves! It was quite funny. It is quite interesting to see so little of the screen area being a playing area.
I think this lends itself really well to a mobile game that could easily be deployed to the app store with only a small amount more polish! Great work!
It had a few funny moments, but at the end of the day I just wanted to play as a shitpost memelord and I feel like that wasn't respected :stuck_out_tongue: Still, a good concept, but if I had some criticism it would be less dialogue clicks and more dialogue skipping! Great work though
Haha this is dumb
Overall a fun game, I did find it pretty easy to beat once I loaded up poor Kevin with sweet food haha
This was an amazing little game, simple yet well done and it kept my interest for quite a while. Keep up the good work!
It's a good interpretation of the theme. It was okay once I got going, but a bit frustrating. There was no easy way to rebuild structures with an opening, so it was very much just yeeting everything and hoping for the best. Still, a bit of fun!
Nice, super chill tunes, and fun casual mechanic. Definitely the right kind of game for a gamejam! Great work
I am a little worried about how accurate the vomit sounds were 10/10
Thank you so much for sharing! Really amazing little game and adorable yet innovative mechanics. Keep up the amazing work :)
Great fun, and a real annoying (in a fun way) little red car!
Annoyingly, the mailbox doesn't appear to work. I think we're just missing some flavourtext though as the game plays fine without it.
Oh man, I laughed so much at this. Great effort! This is very chaotic. Ironically, in the bottom left where the theme is, Unstable comes up as "Instable" - if that was unintentional, it was still genius.
Had great fun and got a score of like 50ish. Well done!
Much like the others, unfortunately I just didn't really understand the game, and it was just a bit too much to play in a gamejam with literally 2,000 entries! Sorry! Unfortuantely, fun and accessibility are kings here!
OMG This mood is 1000/5. I cannot believe what was achieved in the timeframe. SO good. I cannot fault it. This was a perfect horror game and your design choices were so intelligent.
THE. LIGHTING. I. CANNOT.
A beautiful looking game, but unfortunately I'm just too crap haha. I would have liked the payload to be just a little bit more resilient. It feels a bit too difficult. Good work on submitting to your first jam!
My favourite part was being called unstable for bashing up a brand new second hand computer that may or may not have needed RAM downloaded to run minesweeper 10/10
The 2.5D look and feel is very nice! Combat is unfortunately way too slow, though, and it was tough to keep going.
Would love to see this expanded!
This was a good play on the classic stacking games that were popular, I enjoyed the different stages it was a great entry well done.
This game had the deepest story I've ever seen in a jam.
It's also absolutely stupid.
Absolutely fantastic - what a perfect jam game.
A finished product! Not a huge twist on the genre by any means, but it is absolutely hilarious and had me laughing the whole time!
Definitely a bit rough, but nice to see that you were able to strap something together! I am always stoked with compo entries. I cannot fathom how someone can do ever part in 48 hours!
Only watched it played, but I feel like I got the gist pretty much.
God tier, game of the year.
Good looking game with some very satisfying aesthetic. The sound design was great for this one! Great work.
Nice work for your first gamejam! Key rebinds are an easy thing to miss, and it is clear that you prioritised the player feel.
The sounds were also great and fit the theme perfectly. Great work, mate!
Very wild! This was way too hard for my dumbass, but the movement is really satisfying and the audio it great. I would have liked to have seen my power diminish as the enemies unwound me further.
This handles pretty poorly, which is quite important for a platformer. Disregarding that, though, it was goofy and funny.
Nice! A bit of silly, arcade fun. The hitboxes seem a little difficult, and it wasn't totally clear what the stakes were, but hey, who cares. As long as it's fun
It's an interesting concept for a game, and some pretty cool art, but yeah, the controls and feel are a bit off and that affects the fun. I think it would make sense to have powerflow be a toggle, and have some kind of UI element such as a flipping arrow that shows the current flow, it would be more friendly to the user.
Let's not forget, though, that this is the compo challenge! Huge effort and great work with respect to the constraints you were put under. Thanks for submitting!
Great concept! A little tricky to figure out how to time my jump to get the scythe out, but I don't think it was punishing anyway, so there was no real problems there. Absolutely adorable and great fun to play! Well done!
Always a risk to make a multiplayer.. nobody has friends in a gamejam! Still, even though I tried to control both of the players, it was still a nice feeling entry with some cool music. Good work!
It was an interesting idea, but unfortunately, I don't think it turned out to be very fun. It kind of doesn't know what game it wants to be.
The important thing, though, is that you undoubtedly got to try out something new, and successfully submit something!
It was pretty good - I've seen this kind of mechanic a few times this jam, and this was one of the more memorable. The art was gorgeous, but unfortunately the mechanic is a bit limited. Still, fun for a short while, playable in browser, the makings of a perfect gamejam entry!
Great work on the art! Clearly playing to your strengths here. Was nice and chill, and a nice little exploration game.
Simple, pure, fun. This would be a fantastic little decider-minigame in a party game kind of thing. Definitely need to give you prayers to RNGesus, but a great, simple mechanic for a great, simple gamejam entry!
Oh man - "ended up losing a ton of time figuring out how RigidBody works" - My thoughts exactly. It was also my first foray into learning how Godot implemented Ridigbody2D physics.
Don't be too hard on yourself, though! Gamejams are all about learning. This is only my second jam, and my skills with Godot are way more than they would be with any tutorial series. I am sure you can resonate with that.
Either way, regarding the game, it feels great! It's just dumb fun. The animations, the screen shake, and just jumping around is a fun little sandbox for a few minutes. It wouldn't take much to develop this into something more game-like, and you've already made a start!
It's okay. The controls are a bit punishing (by design, I am sure). As a browser game it's a bit less tactile, but otherwise it looks pretty cute.
Ah yes, unfortunately no controller here, so I cannot rate. Definitely recommend support K+M for the next one! It's way more common for the typical players of a gamejam.
This is a great twist on a classic, the time sensitive nature of slimes added a nice addition it was also interesting how you could then start to use the exploding slimes to your advantage. The Art design is solid and the little slimes are very adorable. It's a great entry and I hope you had fun making it!
Nice idea with a really great art style! I didn't like the music, sorry, but the levels and puzzles were definitely lacking! I feel like you have all the ingredients to design some fun puzzles!
10/10 would play this in a VR headset
Haha, like others, I kept blowing myself because I expected space to be jump.. but either way, this was a fun little idea, and the animations gave it life. Great work for your first jam!
Nice work for getting your first gamejam game in! Physics is always a bit silly an fun, so they are a great match for gamejams. The performance was pretty awful with more than 3 balls on screen, though, and I have a very beefy computer. Still, you got a game done, and it was fun, well done!
GORGEOUS! A brilliant take on the theme, I think! Very unique and innovative! I love the self-awareness, but honestly I just can't get over the art. Easily the best I have seen in this jam! Great work! I cannot fault this!
This is a great example of doing a lot with little. A fantastic entry and lesson in scope management. Refine, refine, refine! The same looks and plays beautifully, and even though the player is looking at the same screen for the whole game, it is not easy to notice due to how pretty it is. Great work, team, fantastic feeling.
Haha loved hearing you talk about this on stream. The scenario you made is so dumb and such a good take on the theme! Voice acting was a nice touch, and the audio in the game was great! Hilarious!
@3mpty Yep, happy ending. No other endings.
Thanks so much for playing it on stream! Sorry about the scene transition bug. Hopefully I can squish it soon.
Thank you so much everyone for the lovely comments! I am really unsure about what is giving the game such a hard time on the scene transitions... and why it is so inconsistent for some of you!
I will need to learn a bit more about the Godot build process and debug this heavily. Thanks for letting me know @fabula-rasa about the crash to desktop on Windows. I thought the Windows version would have been a sure thing for stability! I am having real trouble replicating these bugs, though.
If I manage to find something, I will try and update the game for future players!
@connor-magson Thanks for sharing! I'm doing a very similar thing, just with an animation.. I am also queue_free()-ing on the deferred process, and maybe that logic isn't appreciated in HTML5... but thank you for the tip - I might look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow, and that example, and see what is wrong!
@preda I have literally no idea how this is possible. Absolutely incredible and gives perfect shitpost energy.
Make sure to refresh/reload and skip to the levels with the number keys!! :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for checking it out!
___
As a line in the sand for the comments, it is at this point that I fixed the scene transition bug (I think). Turns out if you were really good at the game, you were rewarded with no bugs because needing to restart the level broke the scene transition script :stuck_out_tongue:
___
If anyone has any crashes below this line, please let me know, but I can only hope it won't be about the scene transitions!

Alright guys, lock in humour now
Thanks for all the support
@ibrahim-oezhan Yes! Just made a cheeky groove in beepbox.com. A great service, especially for gamejams.
Thanks for your feedback!
Check out our favourite streamer Yuriosity raging at Paper Route!

This was a great little game, the music was funky without being too overbearing and getting on your nerves, the sound effect of the pizza however made me laugh almost every time it was such a wet squelch. I enjoyed the very dramatic slow motion fall when your tower of pizza inevitably tumbles to the ground. Simple yet well executed well done!
Well done mate, you achieved your goal and also experimented with programmer art and sound - a staple of Ludum Dare! I was glad to see this come together. Can't wait for the next one!
Nice work, mate! I played through 3 levels, but the input was a bit too sensitive to successfully chain the boxes to cross the spike pit and I gave up haha!
Out of fairness, I played the JAM version of the game, but honestly the sound wasn't that unbearable. At least with your warning it didn't hurt.
The graphics are great - very thematic, and the way things like the logs wobbled when I walked on them was a really nice touch. Overall, great work, even in spite of the lack of SFX. The gameplay still felt pretty good!
Super addictive! The quick restart was great and the boost at the beginning was a really ingenous way to get the player back into the game.
The UI was super clean and the strategy to determine what direction to go based on the limited view of the enemies was fantastic. Having the false freedom of only being able to go horizontal or down was a great design. The aesthetic was really well curated. I only made it through to the second layer so I didn't see how deep it could get.
Sounds would have been really next level, even throwing in really simple ones on hits. Also, I would have appreciated a bigger viewport and/or fullscreen option (unless I am dumb and didn't see it) as my 2K resolution didn't show me a lot.
Great work on this. I am glad you submitted.
I like the polish investment on this! The animations are really nice and cohesive. The simple art style was really good.
The game got really hard really fast! It seems like the dash didn't really do anything, or maybe I was unlucky. I think it would have been fun if the pistol was unlimited as it was weak, and the other weapons were limited. Being weaponless was basically a guaranteed loss as far as balance goes.
Very well done on submitting! This was a very well scoped entry, particularly as a fellow solo-jammer. Thank you for the game :)
Awesome work!
I liked this simple idea and good implementation. The controls were responsive and simple to understand. The assets are really crisp and I feel the collision was fair.
A few recommendations and notes - I think that it would have been a small amount of effort for a large amount of gain to have a few more versions of the sprites (even just rotated or colours changed) to add some variance. Additionally, a bit more visual feedback when you got hit would have been good (like a particle effect, or a quick sprite or something).
Overall, a really tight entry that achieves what it seeks to do. Thanks for submitting!
Would get paid to be addicted to social media again.
Great work! Really clean UI and a well functioning dialogue system! Very funny - a great investment into the humour category
The art was really nice!
Unfortunately it just wasn't very fun. Maybe it would have been good to had a situation such that the player needed to strategise, but it's basically just patching up as you go until you don't anymore. It is an interesting engagement. Maybe even something like having a left or right arrow pointing to the shortest distance to the biggest crack instead of just having the ! UI would have made at least some interesting decisions for the player.
It was a creative and interesting idea on the theme. Many games have a "world ending" stakes, but this one is literally a planet!!
I hope you learned a lot and had fun during this gamejam and you can apply to the next jam!
Great work! Especially as this was all ground up! I am glad you stuck with it despite the waning motivation.
I really appreciate the difficulty curve here. I don't know if you designed it or if it was intentional, but I think you nailed it such that each run was just longer enough to feel good. Really fun in that regard!
The UI was really snappy and functional, but I agree with other comments that it could definitely have used some polish as an improvement. I don't know how Unity works with theme-ing but there are some very simple things you can do in Godot that make a massive benefit. I can show you if you like
Overall, I really liked this implementation! It is clear you have learned some new skills since the days of Professor Proton! Good work and keen to see your next entry
@david-york That is absolutely the statement I want to hear! Thank you so much for playing and I am glad you enjoyed.
Thank you so much everyone! I am so happy you are enjoying the game! I am very proud of the effort and final result! I am very keen to play all your games <3
Well done on submitting your first game! Of course it is a bit rough around the edges, and there isn't much to do, but it is still a million times better than not submitting. It was cute to see the Discord screenshot in there and I would have preferred to see a few more simple easter eggs to make it more interesting.
I am not sure if there is an end, but regardless, it was fun for a bit to walk around, and I hope you are not discouraged and have another go at a game jam!
Wow! This game was very hard but a really cool concept with a creative implementation! The EMP effect was really cool and a nice bit of polish.
It was pretty difficult to pay attention to both panels and I feel like this could have been balanced a little better. Shooting enemies was very difficult, and I liked the addition of invincible dashing.
Great work for your first Ludum Dare! Welcome to the fold and I hope to see more games from your team :)
This is fantastic, currently and genuinely my favourite entry I have played so far. The artistic style is really cohesive and it was a really smart choice to blend the 3D environment with filtered 2D pixel art
The polish with the wind speed and the clouds is such a good touch that brings the whole product together. You should be very proud of this effort!
