This was the most frustrating tetris I ever played!
But seriously, I love the extra touch you gave to this classic. The slime sound effects are really cute and I love the background music, which really adds to the "unstable"-ness of the game!
Very cute and very fun! Love the spin on Tetris gameplay and the artwork is fantastic
That sound effect when you clear a line catches you off guard.
Cool game and cute slimes, but I do wish the tetris part was a bit more developped (Space bar for instant drop, ghost to see where the shape will drop, shape holding, T-spins). Other than that, the graphics were pretty cute looking. I did have an issue once where unhappy slimes did no animation before dying, that didn't affect my rating, but just so you know. I liked the game
very cute game! the slimes are adorable. The mechanic is interesting and brings a new take on tetris! i would have liked it if you could keep pressing the buttons to trigger an effect, because sometimes I was concentrating on the slimes while pressing right or left and hoping that the blocks would still move, but they didn't and so I misplaced them :D
I love me a good twist on Tetris and this is great.
A nice take on a classic with your own twist! The audio and graphics work nicely together giving a really cute feel to the game.
A nice little twist on tetris! Sometimes, petting the slime didn't work and i had trouble moving the pieces, but I still really enjoyed the game. I am now a proud slime tamer!
I really enjoyed this. It was a great twist on a classic. I've always loved Tetris and this is a unique take I've never seen or thought of. Great Job!
Cute graphics and a cool idea! The sound of four-five slimes getting angry together gave me so much anxiety though, lol
This is like slime rancher meets tetris, love it! The art is super cute and the sound effects work really well with the visuals. Would love to see a full version :D
This is like a cuter version of Tetris, love the graphics and the story! Would have liked to see some more variations over the regular Tetris gameplay + the anger mechanic.
Oooo I really like the chaotic but cute energy of these slimes! It makes the tetris a lot more interesting and makes for some interesting strategies!
This was a lot of fun! A creative twist on Tetris. The angry slime mechanic is enough to make the game exciting and challenging, without making it too frustrating. I did run into a bug twice where when I started a new stage there was just a suspended block near the top, which the new blocks then hit into resulting in a game over. Great game other than that, well done!
Puyo Puyo, but needy it seems! I only got to 5040 on my run, but I definitely felt the intensity rising as more and more demanded my attention.
Overall, interesting way to distract the player and make them pay attention to simultaneous moving elements. Fun game! :)
Wow, it's been a while since i played Tetris last, Thanks haha!
Enjoyed the twist of having to keep the slimes calm, got kinda hard when i was building up for a Tetris, was trying to do double Tetris in the beginning but realized it was pointless, at least in the beginning because the board cleared before i could claim the 2x after all my hard work lol.
everything is so well put together so dont really have mush in form of feedback except keep at it, good job!
This is a great twist on a classic, the time sensitive nature of slimes added a nice addition it was also interesting how you could then start to use the exploding slimes to your advantage. The Art design is solid and the little slimes are very adorable. It's a great entry and I hope you had fun making it!
I gave you my feedback on stream earlier (and helped you identify the root cause of that bug!) but I just wanted to say again that you did a great job!
The art is so simple but its good and it fits right to the aesthetic, the cute slimes bouncing in the screen in the tetris mechanic was so comfy to see. I really liked the addition of calming the slimes and how that could be the turning point of a run but i expected some more difficult, maybe some layers to the slimes. Exploring the slimes emotions as a gameplay mechanic seems a very good path for improvement, nice entry overall!
A very nice revisit of a classic ! Fun to play and lovely art :)
Hey discord neighbor! lol ;)
This is super cute! The art is very well done (especially the stage design), and the little intro sequence was hilarious. That said, it seems like the scaling of your pixels isn't perfect (and it's noticeable on the intro text and partially on the slimes), but it's not that big of a problem. The background music is a great choice.
The slimes getting upset is a great idea, and I like that the falling speed of the pieces is slow enough that you can focus on the slimes while the pieces are falling and not have to be overloaded. I think and 'instant drop' button could've been nice, and an indicator of the slimes' state between content and upset so that you know which is going to go off soon (the indicator for an upset slime is pretty good as-is). It's also a little unresponsive when petting slimes, I wasn't sure if I was doing it right half the time. It seems like a good meta-game is to just get rid of lines as quickly as possible, instead of building up like in regular Tetris, so that way you just don't have to deal with slimes getting upset in the first place.
Overall, a very well put together entry and an enjoyable experience :) Unfortunately I had it freeze in the middle of a level, not sure if that was a bug on your end or with the web player. My high score was 2580 by then.

All these years I should've been practicing tetris ; - ; -- cute game though! It froze only a couple slimes into level one for me but I'm definitely planning on refreshing and playing a little more! Great job - congrats on finishing your game!
Hey there! I like the concept behind the slime tamer, and how the tetronimos became unstable. I think there's quite a bit of potential in this idea of riffing off the core design of tetris. I think the implementation is solid enough for a jam, definitely, and of course props for getting in SFX and nice graphics in the time limit.
I think my only major criticisms would have to do with the difficulty curve, which feels a little gentle, and the design being a bit "safe". I would have liked to see the concept pushed a little further than just clicking the slimes to calm them down, e.g. an interaction that changes the way the lines cleared in a positive way.
In any case, I had fun with it. Thanks for the game!
Hello,
First off, I really like the art style and the little introduction story. It's very endearing and fun. The way you tie this into a tetris-like game is also neat with the hunter hiding in the bushes in the background. I can see this being a commercial game back in the 90s :).
I found the concept pretty good, the idea of dragging the player's attention away from the slimes falling is good. I think you could expand the slime patting behavior further if you want to continue working on it.
Congrats on making a nice fun game!
