LD44 — Your life is currency

Atria by comatomatoes 2019-04-30T15:11:02Z

I like the art style and graphics a lot. I thought the trading your hearts for different weapons was a neat idea too. I did struggle a bit with the enemies, because its difficult to tell where they are hitting/where they are going to hit. Overall I liked it.

Chicken Out! by drtizzle 2019-04-30T15:20:43Z

I thought this game was pretty fun! I overall really enjoyed it, but on the 4th wave i got stuck, it said there was one enemy left and I looked everywhere and there was no enemy to be found. Other than that, very fun and creative!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Small Mouse, BIG SHOES! by UnitedFailures 2019-10-08T06:57:54Z

That was a lot more enjoyable than i originally anticipated, thank you.

Muscle Typer by organicpencil 2019-10-08T07:03:24Z

I became swole to the point where my arms expanded past the conceptual plain of reality. I thouroughly enjoyed a typing game, wtf, you have done a great deed.

Tubizo and the Dark Detrimental Wizard of Chaos by Rolly 2019-10-08T07:09:52Z

I didn't get a chance to play the entirety, but this is a really nice concept with very nice execution! The comedy was great and the gameplay was very intruiging. I hope to see more come out of this idea!

LD46 — Keep it alive

LAST HUMAN by GuitarBro 2020-04-23T03:50:38Z

Really enjoyed this little game! I really like the graphical and sound aesthetic throughout it. I did have some trouble with some runs, I would tend to get softlocked because there wouldn't be an exit. Something I discovered is if I were to obtain a module such as the shield module, and equip it and quickly close and open the menu, it would seem to add in previous health related modules I obtained in other runs. It did the same when I got the firerate increase module, I was able to get damage 1 and 2 modules as well. Not sure if anyone else experiences it but I thought I should note it. Overall, I really enjoyed this game, and I had fun messing with different combinations of modules (even if I obtained some of them by glitching them into my inventory).

The Deepest Level by Monado 2020-04-22T21:42:02Z

thanks @Pilarus for the heads up! I thought I had added a thumbnail before posting the game but I guess I didn't.

The Deepest Level by Monado 2020-04-22T21:48:01Z

@andidebob Thanks for the reminder, at the last minute I added a custom controls setting in the options menu, however I didn't have enough time to test how well it works. You can also change the controls from the launch dialog :)

The Deepest Level by Monado 2020-04-24T03:28:51Z

@radow Thanks! I really am happy with how the art turned out, it was my first time using Aesprite and pixel art is something Ive been wanting to improve with. Also thanks for the heads up with the How to Play back button, it seemed to work fine during testing but its good to know that there are problems with it. With the player getting stuck when taking damage, I had the intention on adding knockback to the player but I must have forgotten to add it, whoops. If I work on this game more after judging ends (which I think I might) I will definitely add that "fall with additional gravity when not holding the jump key", I really like that idea.

The Deepest Level by Monado 2020-04-24T03:31:42Z

@ilprinny I'm glad to hear that you liked the movement. Platformer movement was something I've always struggled with and so I tried some new ideas here with the movement. During playtesting I didn't have trouble with that back button, but its good to know it isn't working. I also had meant to add knockback to the player so that situation wouldn't happen where you got stuck, but I never got around to it.

The Deepest Level by Monado 2020-04-24T23:29:52Z

@bitpokit Thanks! I want to expand more on the game after my finals, specifically with fixing some of the physics as well as adding more attacks. I even had plans for an additional character who plays completely differently.

GNOME by parad0xSpace 2020-04-22T20:07:12Z

A really nice first jam entry! Like everyone else, the collision seems a little off, but I didn't have much of a problem with that. On the other hand, I was a bit confused with the combat at first, but I eventually figured it out. Regarding the combat, I found it really easy to just spam the attack button since the enemies all gathered at the same flower. I also found the days to take somewhat of a long time to progress. On another note, I found the music and sprites very charming. The theme of the game also fits very well. Overall, this is a really nice first jam entry, and I hope to see more from this developer.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Katira's Tower by Monado 2020-10-06T20:12:14Z

@lychee yeah I agree, the difficulty needs a lot of balancing, I was hoping to get to work on it some but I ran out of time

Katira's Tower by Monado 2020-10-07T01:22:19Z

@kotovnav thank you! I really like how her portrait turned out

LD49 — Unstable

Fast Flats! by Stending 2021-10-09T11:08:42Z

Super fun! I really liked placing a bunch of random furnature in a pile and getting credit, but I also really enjoyed trying to play to what the client was looking for. Great work, and lovely simple visuals!

Anti-Bomb by IcyLava 2021-10-09T10:25:48Z

Really loved the bomb mechanic! Was super satisfying to improve at and managed to get some pretty neat jumps off of timing it right. Amazing work overall!

Wobble Waddle! by Gen Liu 2021-10-04T20:02:13Z

Very pleasing both in gameplay and aesthetics, not to mention a really fun idea! Great work!

Lab Panic! by GibsS 2021-10-04T20:24:49Z

Great game! The puzzles had me going for a bit, but theres a lot of awesome work here, fun game!

Un-Ren-Table by WegPast 2021-10-04T23:55:56Z

Very fun game! Love the tower building and all the wacky events that can happen during it! Beautiful spritework as well!

Under P'ARRRR by Fear Games 2021-10-09T10:33:43Z

Super creative concept! Loved the golfing physics in such a unique setting, really enjoyed playing

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-04T19:50:30Z

@stalemeat Thanks you!!

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-04T21:12:24Z

@100th-coin I do agree a fair bit with it being too harsh of a punishment for the player. After having played the game this morning after finalizing things last night, I decided that it's a little much. I'm currently uploading a newer build that gets rid of some of the harsh punishments that I felt were a little too far, it should be available soon. Thanks for your feedback!

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-04T22:06:40Z

@adroman I would love it if it would, who knows if it does or now

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-05T04:41:20Z

@dodori thanks for playing! The game was heavily inspired by Jump King, and hearing you mention that means a ton!

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-06T01:10:10Z

@sockpuppetcow oh whoops! Looks like I overlooked that softlock lol. Glad you enjoy it, and thank for stopping by the stream!

Fight Or Flight by Monado 2021-10-09T21:05:58Z

@gcake Thanks! It was intentional that your jumps were a little random, though you're able to increase your max amount of jumps by collecting gems. As well, I do in fact use the platform effector later on for one way platforms, the ones near the start weren't meant to be one-way.

Game Invaders by Adrieldf 2021-10-06T22:52:40Z

Fun game! The movement was a little slippery but overall a nice little game, with a creative interpretation of a game's bugs. Great work!

Uranium-236 by XeduR 2021-10-04T23:00:59Z

Very satisfying game to play! Doing all I can to make the power output go up is very addicting, wonderful work!!

Panic! At the metro by valyagolev 2021-10-04T22:18:24Z

Interesting idea! I'd love to see it explored some more, whether its more symptoms or a larger area to explore. Overall a pretty neat "experiment" as you put it!

A Hard Pill to Swallow by osh.studio 2021-10-04T20:59:20Z

Very funny and creative game! The mechanics were simple but very fun to play around with!

Sketchy Spelunking by lukeoco1234 2021-10-04T22:26:32Z

Pretty addicting to get as many rocks as you can while dealing with the cave collapsing around you. Great entry!

Chemical Salesman by PressStartEarly 2021-10-04T20:49:16Z

Very interesting game! I love the atmosphere, and gave off some Papers, Please vibes. I found the story details and the various situations pretty interesting as well. Overall amazing work!

Glass Cow Dash by Stalemeat 2021-10-09T10:58:29Z

Stellar work!! The gameplay was quick and fun, and I really enjoyed the fast paced action of it. As well, beautiful spritework and character design. Love it!

Can't Wait by Jonathan Alderson 2021-10-04T22:51:26Z

Had a blast playing! The controls are a bit "unstable" at first but I quickly got the hang of it. Great work!

Unstable flowers by Adroman 2021-10-04T20:38:38Z

Very interesting tower defense game, the fact that I could lose any of my towers at a certain point kept me on my toes! Very challenging and engaging!

Giggly Goo by MsCarrotCake 2021-10-05T00:06:33Z

Very cute and very fun! Love the spin on Tetris gameplay and the artwork is fantastic

Paper Route by OllieOA 2021-10-09T10:50:16Z

Really wacky and fun game! It was a challenge to keep as many newspapers on hand as possible, and the levels really proved to be a fun challenge to overcome! That construction site level really had me going for a while, but overall super great work!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Behold by auxC 2022-04-05T05:17:54Z

I really enjoyed playing this! The difficulty scaling felt pretty natural, and overall I had a really good time with it! I couldn't get past the boss; seemed like no matter how much I hit it it would never die. The constant jumping card mixed with the low gravity card also seemed to make the game much more difficult than it was before.

I Refuse to Hibernate! by Rose 2022-04-05T05:27:30Z

Really fun little puzzle game! It starts off seemingly pretty easy but then it gets much more challenging! I really enjoyed my time with it! Also, I love the graphics in the game, the bears are so cute!

All Will Be Dust by Matt Heinrich 2022-04-04T21:49:30Z

Neat little jam entry! I really liked the sprite-work, and the lighting effects used throughout with both the player's flashlight and giving enemies a red glow, which helped make them out if they were behind a wall. Overall good stuff!

The Hill I Die On by DevVex 2022-04-05T04:51:49Z

Really liked the presentation of the whole game! Really gave it a nice feel that fit the setting the game set up pretty nicely. Asides from it being pretty easy to kill enemies with the swipe, the game is pretty nice and the difficulty increases nicely to boot!

LD54 — Limited Space

Relics by Monado 2023-10-04T20:08:42Z

@triangle-point Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

Relics by Monado 2023-10-04T20:11:05Z

@stormsword Thank you! For some reason after I had built the project, the speed of moving the structures became way slower than it was before building. As well, I didn't realize the control key issues in the WebGL build until yesterday when I was playtesting the WebGL build, so I completely understand, I had accidentally closed the game on myself and had to restart. If I'm able to make fixes like that at this point I might just to make sure players don't accidentally close it

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

I Have Put The Creature Into My Gun by Jezzamon 2024-10-17T05:29:46Z

Really fun game! I love the little creatures and how they follow you, and the way they interact with the platforming itself was an awesome touch! I feel like I explored every last room I could, very nice work and an awesome little platformer!

Reverse Pacman by euske 2024-10-17T01:40:15Z

Super neat concept! A little challenging at times when Pacman for me would instantly spawn and be taken out by the ghosts, but a super interesting take regardless! Managed to beat it and I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing!

SniffMon by qiqiqi 2024-10-20T11:39:06Z

I love the cute vibe this game has! I love this concept a lot, amazing work!

Purrfect Drift by Rewzu 2024-10-17T01:54:14Z

I love the visuals and gameplay of this! Even if it's a little hard to get used to, it gives the feeling of a waxy or slippery floor super well, especially with the reflections! Also I love the look of the cats, very cute!

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-09T02:32:02Z

@serenitydev Thank you! I absolutely agree with the fact it could have aligned a bit better with the theme. I had some things in place that would have worked a bit better but just didn't have the time. Maybe I'll get around to expanding everything but I have larger projects I also have my focus on. Regardless, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game!

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-10T05:51:42Z

@inonesgraveded glad you liked it!

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-11T16:01:38Z

@moonlightbomber exactly what I was going for! There was a tutorial I found to make characters in a similar style with Blender and it really helped with this project I feel like

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-13T18:00:48Z

@mithoskuu Thank you! I've been meaning to rate more games, just haven't had the time to as it has been a very busy week at work. Gonna try to today though

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-13T18:01:50Z

@thyoi OMG!!!! I LOVE THIS!!! THANK YOU

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-17T04:48:54Z

@jezzamon Thank you! I was surprised I was able to get as much as I did done with it just being me working on it. There's some things I overlooked (looks like you found the biggest one with that wall lol) but overall I'm pretty proud of it

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-17T04:49:57Z

@andriana-mantidfly The camera critique is extremely valid, I didn't have the time to polish it up more than I had hoped, just not enough time. As for the interface, the same kind of scenario as I didn't have enough time to work on it as much as some other aspects.

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-17T04:50:28Z

@shallowkong Thank you! I'm pretty happy with the character design as well as many other aspects as to how the game came out.

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-18T00:42:15Z

@ty-victorson I totally agree about the health indication, I feel like having some sort of negative screen effect would make damage taken much more noticable, as right now it's hard to tell if you don't notice the tiny health bar pop up in the corner. I hope to keep working on it, even if just polishing it up I'm excited about what it could become! Thank you for the feedback!

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-18T00:44:43Z

@miku Thank you! I agree there's a lot to iterate on here, as well as a lot I'd love to polish up (especially the camera more than anything as well as some sort of instruction for the player.)

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-19T12:27:15Z

@whalejam Thank you! I'm glad to see you enjoyed it! Yeah, that location has become the source of many out-of-bound related resets at this point lol, I just had overlooked it while developing. Waiting for after the judging period ends to start making changes

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-20T08:24:10Z

@paul-maxime Thank you! It should be possible, just requires more precise platforming (then again I of course had more experience with the movement while playtesting than most would have just playing it) but it is possible. There should actually be a way to configure the sensitivity, pressing Q opens up a menu which should allow you to adjust the sensitivity in the options. It should work unless something kept it from working right before compiling

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-20T08:24:37Z

@kuroshima Thank you!!

Vi and the Fairies by Monado 2024-10-24T07:09:33Z

@steffo @hjmw Thank you! The camera and character aren't parented to one another, I have the camera pointing to an anchor point attached to the player. The issue is in regards to the update thread that the camera is tied to, and in a current build I have the issue fixed! The camera also no longer rotates when the player spins. Hope to get this post-jam update out soon! sc7.gif sc14.gif

Grablin Battle Festival by HaaYaargh 2024-10-17T03:30:33Z

Really fun game! I love tossing the Grablins in strategic positions and watching them duke it out. Great work!

Tiny Checkers by thyoi 2024-10-17T02:41:57Z

This game was honestly one of the most impressive jam games I have seen in a very long time! It was extremely polished all around, the mechanics thoughtfully developed, and had a very engaging audio and visual style that led me to finishing the game by the end. I love how you can approach the game from different ways too, I found trying to get pieces into enemy territory to be a really fun mechanic to play around. Amazing work!!

image_2024-10-16_194151971.png

Mystic Mites by Yeris 2024-10-17T03:09:17Z

This was a really fun concept! I love the simple mechanics of guiding and mixing the little mites together to match the colors; the wizard theming to it as well really sold on the concept! Great work!

Roose Dudes by CaptainPMM 2024-10-17T01:46:41Z

I love this! Guiding the little dudes felt intuitive and easy to understand with no text at all! I was enjoying my time, then got spooked when I saw the first roomba and realized that these little guys were in danger. Very fun time!

Taste Tour -- A Wonderful Adventure of a Tiny Little Toast by ShallowKong 2024-10-17T05:06:49Z

A great jam entry! There are some polish-related things I could comment on but people have already brought those up; what it does come to though is I really enjoy other aspects of the game, such as the style, the platforming (I have made many games with similar platforming so it was nostalgic to me in that way) and the atmosphere of the game! I love the little toast guy :bread:

Restoring Reparia by SerenityDev 2024-10-09T02:59:02Z

This game was fantastic! I love the mechanic of throwing your little creatures at the enemies, it really felt like as the game progressed I had to be more careful with how many I throw towards a specific enemy. Gave me a lot of Pikmin vibes in that way and I mean that in the highest of praise. Fantastic job!

LD57 — Depths

Bedrock Rush by superjai 2025-04-09T07:31:57Z

Super neat game! I really dig the way the controls work, I was a little confused initially but you get so much control over what you can do with the minecart. Amazing work!

Mr. Money's Phenomenally Soggy Water Removal Romp by Rhoka 2025-04-09T07:19:20Z

10/10 Never wanted to drain a lake more. image_2025-04-09_001849001.png Honestly had a super fun time with it, fantastic work!!!

Undercity by Monado 2025-04-09T08:30:48Z

@byebye that's odd, I'm not sure why that would start to happen there. I'll investigate if I end up doing a post-jam build. Thanks for the heads up!

Through The Stars by Xackii 2025-04-09T00:34:48Z

I really like the concept! I did find it a bit difficult in being able to tell what did and didn't count as hitting an object, but I overall really liked it!

Trial Protocol by cx1 2025-04-09T07:38:40Z

Really liked the main gameplay aspect here! I do think it got a bit of the same after a while, but trying to see just how far I can get was super fun!

LD58 — Collector

Moleduggery by Cruise Elroy 2025-10-07T15:51:40Z

Really fun! I love how the different items interacted with the combat, and the digging mechanic to be able to use those items was so fun to play around with! Very fun entry and I love the artstyle of it all

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-07T15:52:55Z

@kristinamay somehow in all of my testing I never managed to replicate that 😆

@trusty @millie Thank you!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-07T16:16:10Z

@vydra Curious what you mean by the HP bar flying away. The aiming can be tough to learn for sure

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-07T18:01:17Z

@kazetheroth Thank you! I will admit it can be a bit difficult at times but I'm happy to hear you gave it a shot!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-07T18:22:31Z

@vydra I recommend playing the itch.io version and going fullscreen, the UI didnt scale correctly when shrunk on a browser

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-08T04:35:58Z

@raysplaceinspace I had thought about having the aiming with the mouse, but wanted a sort of challenging mechanic that is reminiscent of having to use buttons to control aiming like in some SNES games, but translated into that to something that mimics the layout of a modern PC game (hence having you use the left hand for WASD, QE and space, while the right hand is on the mouse). Thank you for playing!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-08T21:51:41Z

@surfa thank you! Funny thing is the mushrooms are bugged in most rooms where they spawn where they get stuck in the ground and don't move, when really they're programmed to jump around back and forth

shrooms.gif

sometimes they'll spawn as normal though

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T03:20:02Z

@eugenik @naru thank you!

@gullyngames Thank you! I think it might have just been some bad luck when it came to the seed you got, that is partially on me though. I didn't realize how big some of the layouts could get when I was testing, and came to realize I accidentally made it so the map could branch off in many more ways than I would have liked. Most of the seeds I've played have been pretty decent in length (in my opinion of course), but post-jam testing I've realized just how big they can get and didn't see that when testing. Im guessing you got one of the unlucky large maps

That being said, thank you for the kind words!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T06:31:11Z

@mikhailne thank you for playing! The coins are more or less to get a higher score, there isn't really a point to them other than the satisfaction of getting them. I didn't see any bugs with the rope swing which is unfortunate since you seemed to experience an issue with it, did you try cancelling the swing or jumping out of it at all?

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T07:11:46Z

@mikhailne interesting, I'll have to investigate that if I do a post-jam build. Thank you for bringing that to my attention!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T18:53:52Z

@kupnu4 thank you! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-09T20:49:41Z

@solvenoff LOL... thank you!

@trevor-mae Thank you too!

It seems like making the grappling hook aimed with the keyboard might not have been the way to go seeing all of the feedback so far; if I end up making a post-jam build I'll definitely be changing that to work with the mouse instead. Seems like its one of those mechanics you get so used to using while developing, you forget how difficult it'll be to use for most players

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-21T15:22:35Z

@custodi @coderaurus Thank you!!

Mr. Fungi by Kupnu4 2025-10-08T21:46:03Z

Amazing work all around image_2025-10-08_144601249.png

Kitchen Pottle by CodeRaurus 2025-10-07T15:23:42Z

Really enjoyed this game! Really liked trying to find the best route for getting all the veggies in a single shot (asides from the carrot levels). Very fun and enjoyable entry! Sometimes I got a little confused as to what direction the cutting board was facing but it wasn't too much of a deal nine times out of ten.

Purarger Collector by thyoi 2025-10-09T05:01:31Z

This game is so cute! There's so much personality put into this project and I absolutely love the art, music, and all of the little details. The way all of the text interacts with the mouse is so pleasing, and the absolutely ~~absurd~~ beautiful burgers you can make... Amazing work

Space Ore Collector by MikhailNe 2025-10-08T20:22:34Z

A nice little game! I really like the urgency of it all, not just able to mindlessly have to mine minerals and have to worry about your health and the incoming storm. Great work!

Johnny may not be a fan of me but I'm a fan of this game! Very fun trying to collect all of the different items, great work!

One of the funniest games I've played so far this jam! Safe to say, I got the happy ending... Amazing work, love the art and satisfying gameplay

What a lovely little game! I absolutely love the visual style; nice work! I think there's a lot here that could be turned into something even better
