An absolutely outstanding game! The visuals are absolutely amazing, I love the 3D pixel art style of graphics so much and you absolutely nailed it. The movement is very fun, and the special abilities from the fairies is amazing. Admittedly it could align more with the theme but I do see the connection between the fairies and tiny creatures. I think if you continued working with this you could have a genuinely incredible product.

@serenitydev Thank you! I absolutely agree with the fact it could have aligned a bit better with the theme. I had some things in place that would have worked a bit better but just didn't have the time. Maybe I'll get around to expanding everything but I have larger projects I also have my focus on. Regardless, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game!
Catched 'em all! It was pretty fun to play

@inonesgraveded glad you liked it!
Graphics remind me of Mega Man Legends, and the character design really caught my attention.

@moonlightbomber exactly what I was going for! There was a tutorial I found to make characters in a similar style with Blender and it really helped with this project I feel like
As a fellow low poly artist, well done! I recommend rating more games, doing so makes the system show your game to more people

@mithoskuu Thank you! I've been meaning to rate more games, just haven't had the time to as it has been a very busy week at work. Gonna try to today though

@thyoi OMG!!!! I LOVE THIS!!! THANK YOU
The game looks very nice, but I have complaints about the interface, which looks just not appropriate in quality lower than the 3D visual and a very jerky camera during gameplay, I really didn't like how the camera behaves on turns.

Very impressive for a single person project!!

Complete such a rich and well-developed 3d action game in 72 hours is truly admirable, the action is very smooth and the character design is very cute. I love this game! (BTW, I also have a jam work. If you can have a try and leave some suggestions, we will be very grateful! THX! )

@jezzamon Thank you! I was surprised I was able to get as much as I did done with it just being me working on it. There's some things I overlooked (looks like you found the biggest one with that wall lol) but overall I'm pretty proud of it

@andriana-mantidfly The camera critique is extremely valid, I didn't have the time to polish it up more than I had hoped, just not enough time. As for the interface, the same kind of scenario as I didn't have enough time to work on it as much as some other aspects.

@shallowkong Thank you! I'm pretty happy with the character design as well as many other aspects as to how the game came out.
@monado I understand, don't take it too close, I liked the game anyway and it's very cute, I rated everything well with stars :)
Just consider the criticism when you finalize the game after the jam ratings

The character art for this looks really good and there's a some incredible vibes with the environments in this game! I did get lost a few times and I had some trouble figuring out what to do once I reached he fairies, but I did manage to figure it out after beating up the cage a few times. I think that you've got a lot of space to iterate here, and so I wish you the best of luck if you continue this project in the future!
You've got a really cute and fun game here! I only managed to find 3 before I think I was killed not too sure, Having the health/screen have a more prominent damage effect would be nice to have, and as others have mentioned the camera could use a bit of tuning, also a small thing I wish I could see the coin counter lol. Critiques aside If you keep working on the game post jam you could make something really cool!

@ty-victorson I totally agree about the health indication, I feel like having some sort of negative screen effect would make damage taken much more noticable, as right now it's hard to tell if you don't notice the tiny health bar pop up in the corner. I hope to keep working on it, even if just polishing it up I'm excited about what it could become! Thank you for the feedback!

@miku Thank you! I agree there's a lot to iterate on here, as well as a lot I'd love to polish up (especially the camera more than anything as well as some sort of instruction for the player.)

Nice! It was a bit janky but I had fun dashing around (you can kinda launch of ramps to go higher maybe?) The camera obviously needs work as it jerks around all the time, but if you ignore that this is a really nice base for a little platformer. As you can see in the image I was able to get out of bounds by jumping on the tree and then up to the wall, I didnt realise until I got up there that it would be out of the area, I was looking for secrets, so might want to block that or add something up there, but otherwise this was fun, nice job ^^

@whalejam Thank you! I'm glad to see you enjoyed it! Yeah, that location has become the source of many out-of-bound related resets at this point lol, I just had overlooked it while developing. Waiting for after the judging period ends to start making changes
very cute sprites and animations!!
During my first run, I got the Water Fairy before the Wind Fairy and I had no idea how to get out of the room. Did I miss something or is it not possible without the midair jump?
However, I managed to get all four fairies in my second run! :D
A way to configure the mouse sensibility would be nice, I had to struggle to move the camera because it was way too slow on my PC. I was lifting my mouse two or three times just to turn 180 degrees. :sob:
The graphics are very cute, especially the particles all over the place, in the air, in water, during spins, etc...!

@paul-maxime Thank you! It should be possible, just requires more precise platforming (then again I of course had more experience with the movement while playtesting than most would have just playing it) but it is possible. There should actually be a way to configure the sensitivity, pressing Q opens up a menu which should allow you to adjust the sensitivity in the options. It should work unless something kept it from working right before compiling

Really liked the cute character design, but the game itself was very clunky to play and lacked a lot of player feedback (mainly some stuff like sounds for taking damage or different kinds of actions). The timing of the jumps and when I was allowed to do certain actions at random times felt off, and I was kinda fighting the camera half the time. Still, quite a nice effort for a one man project((^:

Its pretty cool but my god the camera feels awful with the spinning and it trying to rotate when you move diagonally. Very big fan of 3D metroidvanias though so keep up the good work.

Nooo, please don't do the camera thing when you press A and D, makes the game feel like one of those bad PC ports... :sob:
Have you made the camera a child of the character controller, instead of the reverse?
---
I loved the mood of the whole area!
I managed to find the Green Fairy, but then, while exploring with my newfound double-jump power, I fell out of bounds with no way of getting back up, and pretty much faced the choice of starting over or sitting there in the void...
Whatever; well done!

@steffo @hjmw Thank you! The camera and character aren't parented to one another, I have the camera pointing to an anchor point attached to the player. The issue is in regards to the update thread that the camera is tied to, and in a current build I have the issue fixed! The camera also no longer rotates when the player spins. Hope to get this post-jam update out soon! sc7.gif sc14.gif
