I love the aesthetics, very surreal and neat! Marvelous work for a jam game!
LOL i'm a toast hahahaha, and i taste good when i die
I LOVE the Tiny Toast! So Cute~~~~
Hope u guys love the tiny and cuuuute toast and the cutscene(drawn by me, I reaally love the huge flower~)!! Welcome all ur kind comments!
Ohhh, I can jump again against the wall. Little hard bbut interesting.
Love the art style here! The notion of bread exploration is much coherent with the theme and I love the image and design of the boss, reminding of the boss Cresson in Arknights. The scene of final boss fight seemed absurd at first glance, but also successful revealed the chaos brought by "black magic" as the kernel of crisis. Finally about the levels design, the animation is fluent enough and the setting of jumping is acceptable, but the range of judgment by cirrus is kind of too large that players could hardly avoid damage at the very beginning of gaming experience. It would be even better if the opening animation could be played after several steps of the bread slice exploring and then entering a cave or something, which will help a lot bedding for the intense escape mission in the first level. What I love most is the rotate animation in the beginning animation, which excellently, and also simply revealed the "twisted" effect of black magic. Understand that he music could only be chosen from public libraries, but personally I believe it would be great to apply OST from "MADE IN ABYSS" here. Great appreciation (both meaning) for your efforts. Noticed that it's your first project so looking forward to future innovations and master pieces!
A good and challenging difficulty level! Lovely and delicious character. I personally finished the game within 10 attempts, I believe a few more tries I will get no-damage pass!
The creativity and design of this game are so interesting! This cute little bread is undoubtedly a major driving force for me to pay attention to this game(≧∇≦)
微信图片_20241007232237.png [2.jpg](///raw/11d/26/z/67b79.jpg) Good Game! The first and second level remind me of i wanna which I played when I was in primary school. The boss fight is somewhat like Touhou Projects so I am very familiar with it. So for me the boss fight could be the easiest(). The game's art is stunning! The visual design is beautifully crafted. Find several bugs (=^・ω・^=) but you can make use of it ()
Very good game. But a restart and exit buttoms are very friendly to people like me who might try many times to pass the game.
Great game! I really enjoy the art style. Despite the improved space, I still love playing it :)
the art is gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. the game itself lacks some polish but with some ironing out this could be a really great game. good work.
I love the toast design. It brings me great joy to look at him! Gameplay is a little difficult for me (but it might just be me), the lava comes quiet fast at the beginning and i needed some tries to get through the first stage. The little bump at the start is a little bothersome... but as I said, it might just be me not playing fast-paced games often  The music often said "trendy beats dot com" which took me out of the immersion a little. I would suggest pages like pixabay for music (make sure to check the licences) Also I do like the variety of obstacles and the art!
Absolutely in love with the aesthetic of the game, the beautiful intro cut scene, the three distinct stages are all really great. A bit rough around the edges in terms of collisions polish etc, but very understandable and a fantastic entry for a game jam, congrats!
Amazing game!! i love that you even made a cutscene to enhance the atmosphere, the graphic and music are great too. now i want some roast toast :)
Such a good entry !
The mechanics are simple but very effective. I loved the art style, and the animations are fluid enough to understand what's going on, even if they can be a little fast.
The range of the “lasso” plants was perhaps a little too big, especially on the second level, a plant lying on the ground just in front of a door, I tried several times to get past it without getting hit but couldn't, maybe because you rescaled it without taking the collision box into account (but maybe also just a skill problem 😅).
But overall I really enjoyed it! Very good work!
The game features a unique and charming art style! I really like the idea!
Fun little game!
I like the graphics and the animations. The game would need a little more polish to be a very good entry, but you guys already did a good job!
It's not a bad game, but I have an error in the browser version that the start button does not transfer further anywhere.
Omg!!!It is S-o beautiful!!!Nice job 10/10!!!
Collisions need to be more precise in order to truly enjoy the game since it's a bit frustrating to die before you touch things, and it's confusing to be able to jump again when you touch the side of a platform but not the wall. It would also be a lot better with better-calculated jumps (more landing directly and not on the side and then jumping again), especially at the beginning, where I think you have to jump to one side and then change to the other mid-air). I also heard the sound preview "watermark"?? Or is it a joke (seriously, is it? If so, then it could be considered funny). The idea is very original and fun, and the graphics are a good beginning, but it seems some are not in the same pixel size? If not, maybe the problem is the level of detail that makes it look like it. Last con is the rotated pixels in the animation, but that's understandable in a game jam. Don't be discouraged by my feedback, though, I still believe it's fun and that it has a lot of potential.
A great jam entry! There are some polish-related things I could comment on but people have already brought those up; what it does come to though is I really enjoy other aspects of the game, such as the style, the platforming (I have made many games with similar platforming so it was nostalgic to me in that way) and the atmosphere of the game! I love the little toast guy :bread:
I really liked the idea of this game. It was a bit confusing at first the jump mechanics since i didn't know we could double and triple jump at first. Also with the lava rising so fast it barely gives us time to look around the world and understand where we're supposed to go. Still I loved the artstyle, the little cutscenes and the game itself. Congrats! ^^
I beat the game, I like most others liked the characters/world you guys created. But I was frustrated with no explanation of controls and being thrown into a very quick death for the first stage. The vines were very unforgiving as well, wasn't clear what their attack range was. And the collisions and double jump gave me issues many times, not bad at all for a first game jam and fun characters/world.
Controlling the hero is a little inconvenient - he cannot walk on inclined surfaces and remains in place on a moving platform. I really liked the art of the main character. But i recommend using sprites with the same pixel size for characters, objects and environments. I also liked that there was a solid story with an introduction, transitions between levels and an ending screen. Overall I enjoyed playing - good job!)
A very cute game but I would have loved to get a bit more informations and what I can recommend you is to keep your pixel size consistent - have a lot of different sizes like background, sprites and such can look a bit chaotic :) I would recommend to try to place your sprites inside the gamescreen during the concept phase :D well done cheers!
Beautiful visuals! I think most people have covered some of the suggestions I would mention, but one thing I did notice that the menu screen stayed superimposed during the opening cutscene
