LD46 — Keep it alive

The Sword of Saturn by tinykidtoo 2020-04-21T18:50:07Z

The enemy types really add some needed variety to this game, and the boss fights were fun and challenging. Melee combat is the only thing that could really use some tightening up here though. Overall great job!

ADRENA-LINE by managore 2020-04-21T08:07:44Z

Excellent design and execution. I don't even have constructive criticism, it's just great.

HEX ATTACK by Robber 2020-04-21T08:51:02Z

Very interesting concept. I agree with the other comments about the mouse. I feel like I spent a lot of time chasing down individual enemies. I was hoping there would be more large chunks of enemies like in the screenshot but that never happened. More activity on the board would be a massive improvement - make you actually think about which unit to sacrifice, etc.

Keep IT alive by KebabuTurka 2020-04-21T17:12:52Z

Excellent work, especially for a game jam. I had some issues mostly having to do with not knowing how things worked, but that was all on my end (granted, more of a tutorial either in or out of game would have been appreciated).

Tablet Force by AdamV 2020-04-22T01:38:11Z

I love the visual style, and the gameplay was really good. It was a little hard to dodge the enemy shots sometimes but I'm not really sure what I would do differently there. There was no reason not to use the hack beam even though it had a greater cost to it. Maybe if you had to charge each shot and it took two hits to disable them, where the regular attack was just one?

Open Fire! by Amazura 2020-04-21T19:38:04Z

Graphics are wonderful. Gameplay is simple but well executed, although a bit boring. Maybe adding more constraints on when buttons should be pressed/how many times would help?

Wandering Star by twigames 2020-04-21T02:38:34Z

Beautiful art. The "doot" sound gets to be a little much over time. A visual indicator of if something is just a little too big for you would be appreciated since there were multiple occasions where I thought I was bigger but ended up getting eaten. The gravity effects were terrific. Overall great execution of a simple concept.

"IT" dies by PineappleGladiator 2020-04-22T02:06:44Z

Very interesting concept. I liked the conflict in priorities between completing each order and defending the gate. The art was terrific as well. Great job!

Mage or Trouble by SynysterCola 2020-04-21T06:36:23Z

Terrific work on making all this content. More enemies would have been nice, but you know - game jam. Biggest issue was that battles took way too long. Enemies could do about 1.5x more damage and the player should do about 2x more and things would flow much more nicely.

Relaxing Sarlacc Experience by Ekoxe 2020-04-21T02:49:25Z

Dude, this game wins the jam for me. At first I was playing for real and like, "meh" but then the beats kicked in and I was like, "bruh..."

10/Chill - Would mellow again.

Space VIP: The Needyon Ambassador by Rein 2020-04-21T06:48:56Z

@l3glon thanks for the feedback! I 100% agree about the random events. Curated > random 99.9% of the time and yet I always fall back into the old "but what if *procedural*" trap. If I do anything more with this that will be one of the first things on the list. There is text that pops up in the center of the screen for context on certain actions, but it can be really hard to see and likely missing in a couple places. A controls tutorial image would have helped a lot too.

Space VIP: The Needyon Ambassador by Rein 2020-04-21T07:05:18Z

@eli-delventhal terribly sorry about the mouse sensitivity - I have no idea why the web player is so much more sensitive than any other build. You can get by with a mouse but a trackpad must have been torture. I've added the controls to the game's description, so hopefully that will help. There are 16 locations where holes can appear in the ship, and every room has 1-2 locations for holes to appear (with the large hall leading to the bridge being the exception having 3. The 3 bunk closets can *not* have holes in them because that would be horrible.

As for patching holes: The small ones are small enough that some duct tape can cover that up, which it turns out you always have on you. The large holes require a patch though, and there are two rooms with stacks of patches. These are definitely areas where being able to do playtesting mid-jam would yield tremendous dividends.

Space VIP: The Needyon Ambassador by Rein 2020-04-21T19:52:58Z

@eli-delventhal any better on your second attempt?

Space VIP: The Needyon Ambassador by Rein 2020-04-22T19:08:22Z

@taran-unraveler @trexxak @khud0 @edalbung - Thanks for the feedback! I've added some more info to the hints in the game description to help offset the lack of in-game instruction. Communicating these things in-game would definitely have been ideal however.

Space VIP: The Needyon Ambassador by Rein 2020-04-30T01:43:49Z

@arktas the lack of a map is definitely a major issue. My only recommendation is to pay attention to the direction of the impact sound when it happens and try to zero in on it by following the wooshing air sound. I also recommend trying to get a feel for the layout during the first 30 seconds where things are less likely to happen.

FROGISLN.ELF by WittyCognomen 2020-04-21T02:42:51Z

The graphics were surprisingly endearing. My only major issue was the camera getting pretty weird around the "bottom" of the circle.

Earth 2.0 by AryanJumani 2020-04-21T02:24:03Z

Looks pretty, but not being able to see the left/right edges of the map makes it unnecessarily difficult. Good execution, though I would spawn the asteroids in farther away (or extend the camera's view distance) and make them despawn behind the camera (sometimes they disappear right next to the ship). The chaotic speed at the end was nice and intense.

Medic! Keep'em Alive by Robert Li 2020-04-21T02:58:24Z

I absolutely love the art. The gameplay is solid and the audio really completes the retro feel. Excellent work.

Planets wars by raguel 2020-04-21T08:27:44Z

Simple idea with excellent execution. The variety of enemies really keeps the simple gameplay loop alive here. The explosions looked especially nice, and the music did a great job of not getting in the way of the game.

tiriplici by Trexxak 2020-04-22T01:25:43Z

Very unique input controls, and a fun visual style. The game was right at the perfect level of challenging where it wasn't easy but wasn't frustrating either. My only complaint is the audio gets pretty repetitive.

A Life Learned by Irx99 2020-04-21T19:49:43Z

Very interesting concept. Without the hints on losing I wouldn't have been able to figure out how to win, which was very helpful. Nice work.

Sparky's Joy by Danielle Schugars 2020-04-21T02:12:33Z

Simple idea with good execution. The only major shortcoming was that I couldn't tell if it was a natural progression of levels or if they were being selected randomly. I'm pretty sure it was the former but there was nothing in-game to indicate that.

Medieval Messenger by Courtmac 2020-04-21T02:29:21Z

Pixel art looks great. Gameplay is almost too easy once you get the timing. Adding more variance when things attack after appearing would help a lot with that.

The Harmless Prison Escape by MickGerritsen 2020-04-21T03:08:23Z

The graphics are beautiful, the concept is fun. My only complaint is the puzzles were all trivially easy but hey, it's a game jam game, just having functional puzzles is a tremendous achievement.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Legendary Orbit Golf by pschichtel 2020-10-06T02:33:35Z

Interesting idea but rough execution. Having more control over picking your path would have made a huge difference, but as it is the lack of control makes getting a good shot mostly luck. Also, it's way too easy to reach escape velocity. I also encountered a couple bugs where planets would not be removed from the scene after hitting backspace to reset.

Stuck In Paris by CocaPasteque 2020-10-06T06:37:44Z

Not bad! I find the difficulty ramps up a bit too fast for me, but I'm also a pretty aggressive driver :P

Gelato HRMS by Kyle Farwell 2020-10-06T01:53:42Z

Page took almost a minute to load the login screen then timed out after that. :(

Break The Loop by paulhocker 2020-10-06T06:30:38Z

Proof that an extremely simple idea done well can make even the busiest person waste 20 minutes. Good job.

Rogue Pickup by frozenfire92 2020-10-06T02:08:56Z

Nice little game, although having a goal would have helped tremendously. Also, I occasionally started accelerating very quickly but I could never figure out what exactly caused it.

Hands on Work by jefvel 2020-10-06T02:02:14Z

Nicely done! Great visuals and audio. It gets out of control a little too quickly for my taste, but judging these things in a Jam is really hard anyway. It doesn't do a whole lot, but what it does do it does well!

Caterpillar Cowboy by eldogg 2020-10-07T08:35:53Z

Wonderful little game with fantastic execution! I especially enjoyed the Easter Egg-esque credits. Only bug I encountered was new segments of the tail could spawn inside of things and get me stuck, but there was always a way out of that. Great job!

Short Circuit by TevasLiutauras 2020-10-06T01:57:45Z

Very nice polish, and while effectively the same mechanic as Braid it still had a good execution. My only complaint was how much time I had to spend waiting - each level just started becoming tedious. Might be a case of an interesting mechanic that just doesn't work as well in reality as it sounds like it would.

I Reboot by WegPast 2020-10-06T01:52:29Z

Fun concept! I think responsiveness of the ship would help a lot and making the levels more spacious would also improve things. Overall pretty good!

WhileLoops by Ausstein 2020-10-06T02:22:48Z

I didn't do very well, but I did enjoy it. Very hectic and requires fast reading. Might help from the font being 1-2 points larger, just so that it's ever so slightly easier.

3 Minutes by PeaNud 2020-10-06T01:59:57Z

Very nice setup. My only complaint was how incredibly sensitive the camera is and there was some z-fighting with the screens. Other than that, excellent execution for a game jam!

Last Minute by LukeBenkart 2020-10-06T01:55:48Z

I kept running around trying to figure out how to do anything and couldn't. I got the table to pop up and grabbed the acid, but then couldn't do anything with it despite mashing space bar constantly. Whiteboard didn't give me anything and the fridge(?) I couldn't access because I didn't have the code. There wasn't anything else to interact with in the scene that I could find.

Escape from LAB 2635 by Rein 2020-10-07T08:48:09Z

@jefvel excellent idea about right-clicking. Was the monitor in the starting room what clued you in on how shooting worked, or something else? After you've opened the first chest the monitor goes from blank to showing a mouse with the left-click highlighted, but I think having some kind of indicator that the first chest is you picking up the shoot ability would have helped that a lot. Also, great point on the turn speed. We got used to it during development but it really doesn't make sense for twin-stick controls to have a slow turn speed.

Nine to Five by Kristian Kurktchiev 2020-10-06T01:50:48Z

Played about 15 minutes and decided to give up. I second what @ytrewq said. If there was some kind of indication of progress or story arc it would be much better, but right now every time I have to sit through the "going to bed/waking up" animation I go do something else for a minute.

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-06T02:16:07Z

Fantastic idea and execution. My only complaint is that keyboard controls just don't do it for a bullet hell game - you really need to use mouse input.

Feedback Loop by Viut 2020-10-06T02:42:54Z

Nice idea, but the buttons on the windows were so incredibly small, and I couldn't make the game full-screen because I have an ultrawide and the game scales based on width rather than height, so most of the content was off-screen. Just making the size of the player in the browser larger would be enough to help with that though.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Matt's Marvelous Mining Mission by mmason 2021-04-27T02:36:52Z

Dug around for a while then decided to see how deep I could make it. Got to 511 before getting tired of making the trip. It's a solid combination of some tried-and-true concepts, and it works pretty well. Some larger goals would really round it out.

Safe Cave by Papaver 2021-04-27T08:19:39Z

A fun little puzzle platformer with an interesting mechanic. Well done!

Explovation by sadsmile 2021-04-27T08:00:03Z

The different bombs are all very cool, but I found it way too easy to die to your own bombs, and enemies are usually too fast to avoid while also avoiding your own bomb (some bombs can only barely be avoided by immediately leaving the area in a straight line). Excellent music and feel though.

The Bottom of the Snow by Enver Arco 2021-04-27T08:11:14Z

Every time my green arrow runs out the game crashes and I get a unity error in the browser. The game seems interesting, though a little more guidance on what I should be doing might help. Also, sometimes I can stand on the snow and sometimes I can't? It was not very clear why that was happening.

Orange Diver: The Great Drown by Prostone 2021-04-27T08:49:53Z

Love the art. I just wish I had control over the camera. Also, it's really easy for the diver to start swinging uncontrollably.

Dipper and Dipper by JM Studio 2021-04-27T09:04:20Z

I couldn't really figure out how to know if throwing my grenade in a hole I'd made would trigger an explosion or not. There were a couple places I could see red poking out a little, so I would blast elsewhere, but eventually I would always explode even without any red visible nearby. More instructions would help a lot.

Dangerous Treasure by MtWhateverest 2021-04-27T08:24:45Z

I found the treasure and only got eaten once. Excellent work for your first jam (and a late start too from the sounds of it)!

Sergei the Salvager by kankje 2021-04-27T01:28:24Z

Only took me a handful of minutes to beat, but it was a great concept with excellent execution! Well done.

Call of the Abyss by Rein 2021-04-27T08:55:02Z

@nice-gear-games thanks for the feedback! We deliberated a lot on how to handle the hook and ended up with what you see. I think we need more in-game explanation of things though. For example, the sight radius upgrade is basically what you're looking for. At max level (about 36m) you don't even need the headlight or sonar since the range you can see is so huge.

Nostril Navigator by Xenon27 2021-04-28T19:03:13Z

"You can pick your friends. You can pick your nose. But you can't pick your friend's nose" That's what video games are for. 10/10 would pick again.

Darkness in the clouds by Seskon 2021-04-27T08:31:57Z

The art was great and the world was interesting, though there were several places I saw docks and was unable to land at them? The music was also REALLY loud. 10/10 - would hang out in a giant dude's mouth again.

Slicky Finger by Omaewander 2021-04-27T01:15:59Z

Took me a moment to figure out I needed to be clicking the things. The voices were easily my favorite part of the game.

Aquaphobia by Szenos 2021-04-27T20:09:19Z

I really liked the intro, and the voicework was really fun. The hitboxes around the obstacles were a little larger than they appeared it seemed, so it was a little too easy to hit them. Good job overall.

OPEN SEA DEEP SPEAR FISHING DELUXE by WhyNot 2021-04-27T02:09:14Z

Played until I completely filled the oxygen bar (which was a long time since it fills less with each fish caught). A crosshair or something would have helped a lot with targeting, and the controls got a bit wonky if you flipped over. I was kind of hoping for some uber uncatchable fish to appear in the endless depth area :\

More than Deep by SoftGround 2021-04-28T17:20:50Z

Made it just short of 1k. Increasing speed or difficulty over time would help a lot. Nice pixel art though.

Hook, Mines & Sinker! by cjol 2021-04-27T01:11:51Z

I feel like the spawning of fish was far too slow and the hitboxes of sharks way too large. I had a lot of dives ruined because the very twitchy controls didn't let me move through the tiny gap between walls of sharks without hitting one or more of them, which required spending my whole haul to repair. More fish and/or less expensive repair costs would help a great deal. I also got the NaN money bug right before the dive where I reached the bottom. Untitled.png

Into the Abyss by oeschmid 2021-04-27T00:35:31Z

Love the feel of it. A couple levels took me some real hard thinking but eventually I got through the whole thing. Fantastic execution.

Into The Depth by Szymon OGD 2021-04-26T19:09:21Z

It wasn't really clear that the edges of the level damage you, and they seem to extend farther in than you can see. There were a few times I picked up a health pack and instantly took damage with nothing nearby. I think the enemies being able to turn and home in on you makes it a bit unfair as the level progresses and your opportunities to maneuver are really limited. Solid execution though.

Eva Power Plug Nap by Smelly Games 2021-04-27T01:32:20Z

I should not be responsible for people's sleep.

The controls broke my brain, but that's not because they were bad :P

Seriously Deep Space! by Braden land 2021-04-27T07:06:48Z

The physics were an interesting touch. I think increasing the asteroid mass relative to the player's shot would make them feel more substantial. Solid entry for a first game jam though!

Dark Dive by Whysguy52 2021-04-27T08:41:51Z

Unplayable in the browser, unfortunately :( Seems like a good game though.

Rocket digger by Kaito 2021-04-27T07:51:49Z

Simple concept with good execution. I do wish there was music or other sounds. Also, I felt like the dash wasn't so much an upgrade as it was something that should have been available from the start.

SCHWOOP - the antiplatformer by Skye S 2021-04-26T18:06:30Z

An age-old concept with an interesting twist. Nicely done!

Deep blackhole and there is Duck inside by st00nsa 2021-04-27T08:03:22Z

I won, I think? It said I won but acted very much like it was frozen. Still, a strange but fun little game. Well done.

Hypnagogia by kel 2021-04-27T01:20:04Z

I found the wall jumping really hard to do, and I wasn't really sure what my goals were. Great music and design though.

LD49 — Unstable

Captain Peggles by Sheepolution 2021-10-07T05:40:34Z

Someone recommended this to me on my stream earlier and I'm really happy they did. The art was fantastic and the whole experience was very endearing. Very nicely done.

Unstable Adam's Unstable Diner by mmason 2021-10-06T07:24:16Z

I tried a couple different modes but never once found something "used" :(

Un Stable - Escape To Greener Pasture by binroot 2021-10-05T06:48:09Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier, but I just wanted to say again how impressed I am by this compo entry. My only regret is that I was unable to finish my all-murder run.

You won't believe your result from this personality test! by allthebees 2021-10-06T07:21:07Z

This was not what I expected, while somehow managing to be exactly what it said it was. I don't know what kind of madlad would make an absurd personality test for a game jam, but I thank you for it.

Not Today by shubart 2021-10-06T07:26:45Z

It was a bit jittery visually, but 10/10 on making this all from scratch.

Tall Order by Timothy 2021-10-05T06:38:11Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier, but I just wanted to say again that this was nicely done. I think some different level design and penalties for not fulfilling orders would make for more engaging gameplay.

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-06T07:15:15Z

I think this game is a good example of why pure randomization is generally detrimental to the experience. Pretty good execution otherwise.

Stronkey Kong by 100th_Coin 2021-10-08T05:55:50Z

This game was excellent. I loved that it was just the right amount of punishing and how you could never be sure where the barrels were going to be thrown. Getting revenge on the fire bunnies with the hammer was very cathartic!

Fragile Arms: A Sci Fi Story by Phlip45 2021-10-07T05:43:11Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I just wanted to tell you this is the only game I've given a 5 for audio.

Ark by ProdigalSon 2021-10-07T05:37:28Z

Excellent execution on the concept. Solid puzzle designs and the artwork is just great. Well done!

Glenn The Alienn by Andreadbx 2021-10-05T06:49:48Z

This was queued on my stream earlier but I was unable to play it. It looks interesting, but it only plays fullscreen and the UI scales off the screen on an ultrawide monitor so I was unable to go past the first screen after pressing Start. :(

Glenn The Alienn by Andreadbx 2021-10-06T06:54:15Z

@r4ndomthunder Alt+Enter goes into windowed mode, but you can't resize the window so the problem is still there :(

Cyberduk by abvadabra 2021-10-05T06:53:22Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier today, but I wanted to say again how awesome this game is. The quality of the visuals and audio and the way they work together is exquisite. The whole thing is just quality.

Reliance (Working Title: ~Generating Cosmic Forces by Eric Schmiel 2021-10-05T06:34:41Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier. Definitely let me know if you do anything more with this concept as I'd love to see what comes of it.

Mint by Préda 2021-10-07T05:41:51Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I wanted to post just to say you did a great job and I hope to see more in the future!

The Troubled Train by RosyMaple 2021-10-07T05:53:13Z

I almost died just from reading the description. Then I died for real because of how many things you need to juggle in this game. It reminds me a lot of Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Very nicely done.

Pogo Baggins by Squidcor 2021-10-06T06:48:08Z

I enjoyed this game far more than I had any right to, and I barely made it to the snowy cave area.

Neon Saber by Kaish 2021-10-06T07:25:21Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I just wanted to congratulate you again on a job well done.

Towering Dice by marcmagus 2021-10-06T08:07:07Z

Thanks for the raid earlier! (it was actually my first lol) I got about half-way through my first playthrough when I realized I had one of the rules wrong (I was placing all 3 dice in my pool whenever I could). Second playthrough with a cube of 36 dice I got to 54 with 7 dice remaining when the pyramid fell trying to add the 6th layer. It's very tricky and very well thought out. The only adjustment I would request in the rules is a limited number of re-rolls. Having three 1s in your pool really hurts, especially early on. Overall though, excellent game and thank you for sharing it with me! EDIT: One thing I was wondering that wasn't stated in the rules: are three dimensional pyramids allowed? Creating a second pyramid with dice that can't help on your main one feels like a bit of a waste, but adding some thickness to the main pyramid can definitely add value (and give the opportunity to place 6s above the ground level).

SheepWorm by Elmos Minion 2021-10-07T05:39:12Z

I gave you my feedback on my stream earlier, but I just wanted to post again saying how excellent the graphics were and I really wish I had a better framerate because it would've looked really cool when smooth.

Lucky Lefty Loves Landslides by TheBookSnail 2021-10-06T07:27:41Z

Very cute game. Who knew the solution could be so easy?

Russian Connect by YellowKamel 2021-10-05T06:55:36Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier today. It's not often you see new ideas, even though Jams are great for exploring them. This was fresh, and despite its minor flaws I really like the concept being explored here. Very well done.

F%$#IN BIRDS! by Substain 2021-10-08T05:59:10Z

I'm not sure if the game wasn't recognizing my mic or something, but nothing I did seemed to have an effect :\ It looks like a really unique idea though.

The Volunteer by DoctorTurbo 2021-10-05T06:44:37Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier, but I just wanted to reiterate that this was a solid entry and your whole team should be proud of releasing a complete product like this - especially for most of them being beginners!

Ezekiel And The Fake World by Skvader_418 2021-10-08T06:04:25Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I just wanted to congratulate you again on getting this all done with a good level of quality in just a weekend!

Unstabled by Rein 2021-10-06T07:19:23Z

@minibobbo there are some questions mankind is just not equipped to answer yet. ;P I tried to find music that would match the feel of being perched high on a lone mountaintop tilting a building around with explosive horses in it, but nothing felt right. In the end I think the quiet groans and creaks of the building as you tilt it and the smacking of horses into walls as they're whipped around served the atmosphere better.

Mt. Deep Space by Kimberly 2021-10-05T06:43:02Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier, but I wanted to comment again that this was a fun take on a classic concept and the pilot/rocket turning ability mechanic is excellent.

Wiggle Bird by SamDemaine 2021-10-05T06:50:58Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I wanted to say again how impressed I am at the work you got done in only 6 hours!

Singularity by Pathelan 2021-10-07T05:36:31Z

I think some audio would have really improved the experience of this game tremendously.

Trenchrunner by curleysam 2021-10-06T07:23:19Z

Excellent art and execution of the gameplay. My sole complaint is that the basic enemies felt kind of pointless as they don't seem to harm you at all. If you somehow manage to unintentionally run into one, do they hurt you then?

Topple Tower by Kroporo 2021-10-06T07:13:02Z

you managed to accurately recreate Jenga, and did an excellent job of it too!

Hellbamb by Alopar 2021-10-08T05:57:18Z

The artwork in this game is phenomenal, but the game itself was very hard to figure out. Some kind of hint to indicate what order you should be putting in or *something* other than just process of elimination would have helped a lot.

Manicat by RexTGun 2021-10-05T06:46:20Z

Gave you my feedback during the stream earlier. This game is dumb and I love it. Keep up the good work!

Boat History by etrealjunior 2021-10-05T06:36:48Z

I played this during my stream earlier today and found it to be very challenging, occasionally frustratingly so. Controlling the water and not the boat was a fresh take on a tried-and-true concept, but the inaccurate controls cased by that killed the fun for me.

Don Muchacho: Vigilante by javi7 2021-10-08T06:09:36Z

I gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I'll say it again here. This game was fantastic, and I love it.

Destructo by JPGFG 2021-10-08T06:11:37Z

I can't believe how much you accomplished from scratch by yourself over 3 days. You built a very nice turn-based tactics system that could easily be expanded further. Very nicely done.

Temple Tumble by MatterLinx 2021-10-07T05:44:30Z

Gave you my feedback during my stream earlier, but I wanted to comment again on how gorgeous the pixel art in this game is.

Inside by not-tomo 2021-10-05T06:33:56Z

Gave you my feedback on the stream earlier, but I just wanted to congratulate you on the work you did.

The Bomb Office by Turtle Games 2021-10-08T06:05:56Z

I gave you all my feedback during my stream earlier, so I don't have much to add. I just wanted to say again that this is a cool concept and an excellent achievement for a jam game.

the Bar by Very Bad Bunny Studio 2021-10-05T07:02:08Z

I played this on my stream earlier and there is a lot to like here. It certainly has plenty of flaws, but I didn't find any of them to be critical and the fresh twists on the classic formula were interesting enough to keep me playing. Well done.

The Legend of Slime Princess Jeremy by hinesite 2021-10-05T06:59:07Z

I played this on my stream earlier and I gotta say, I was ready to write this one off at first. Then it started getting weird. Now I fully appreciate what you've done here. Very nicely done.

rUnstable by g5-leonardo 2021-10-07T05:51:49Z

Maybe it was my computer, but I found this game to be very choppy and difficult to control. It looks cool though.

Volatile by Mateu 2021-10-07T05:46:38Z

I already gave you my in-depth feedback during my stream earlier, but I just wanted to say again that I really enjoyed playing this. It's a simple concept with good execution, great music, and fantastic visuals. More particle effects please!

Delusion by Elazulus 2021-10-05T06:39:33Z

I gave you my feedback during the stream earlier, but I just wanted to reiterate that you should all be proud of the game you produced this weekend. Game jams are *hard.*

Wobbly Cannonry by LucDeligne 2021-10-08T06:02:31Z

I found this to be extremely hard. Any movement caused my guns to slide right off, so I was never really able to get a stack going. Very unique and interesting concept though!

Giggly Goo by MsCarrotCake 2021-10-06T06:53:03Z

I gave you my feedback on stream earlier (and helped you identify the root cause of that bug!) but I just wanted to say again that you did a great job!

Alpha Decay by dsoberdan 2021-10-07T05:50:45Z

I don't have much to add to the great feedback you've already gotten. I just wanted to say that every jam should be a learning experience, no matter how times you've done them. A game jam is all about learning and managing to get *something* to completion. You've clearly done that, so you should be proud of the achievement.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Ten Seconds Again by khaotom 2022-10-03T05:35:09Z

Very nicely done! Once you get the hang of using the special attack down the game becomes really easy, at least until the difficulty starts picking up around level 65. I made it to 100 before giving up, and I didn't regret the time spent on it, so well done! Screenshot 2022-10-02 223456.png

Office, Time loop and The End of the World by zimennik 2022-10-05T18:16:12Z

The Outer Wilds in 10 Seconds haha. Very well done and a fantastic feat for a compo game.

10 Second Dojo by Secretmapper 2022-10-02T23:17:51Z

Very nice looking and fun mechanics, but the timing of the sword attack happening right when the incense timer ends took some of the enjoyment out of it for me. Still very well done though!

Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties by RalfZ 2022-10-02T23:11:02Z

Not a very intensive game and it was hard to tell when I was about to lose, but the graphics are just fantastic.

It's all in a day by ruthiepee 2022-10-02T23:34:17Z

Fun resource management game! I wish I had the option to keep my previous selection when starting a new day so I don't waste time lazing about each morning while I click the next thing. Also, how do you get one of those fancy suits?

Kill All Orcs by oller125 2022-10-03T05:54:27Z

I tried to take the pacifist option in the first menu and the game locked up :P The second gun improved my enjoyment of the game a lot, but I feel like the difficulty just ramps up too quickly. Maybe if the enemies spawned farther away from you? Around wave 5 or 6 they spawn almost completely encircling you making it almost impossible to escape.

They hate each other ! by Kaimon 2022-10-03T02:09:38Z

Great graphics, though some minor issues around hitboxes on the cats and dogs. It seems like you need to click them on the head area or it won't work. Also there is a thump sound that plays way louder than the others. Overall, a solid showing though!

DUNGEON I/O by COKE 2022-10-03T05:05:38Z

Very interesting concept! It took me a few tries to beat it. My only major feedback is that I feel like the randomized input detracted from the gameplay and ended up making the game mostly luck-based. Something like keeping the output you had from the previous round or something would have helped a lot I think.

DUNGEON I/O by COKE 2022-10-05T17:48:21Z

@coke all done, thanks for letting me know!

HEAT by EbbDrop 2022-10-05T18:09:20Z

very interesting concept, and really impressive graphics for a compo game! A couple comments though: the "failure" sound on the card reader was *incredibly* loud compared to everything else. Also, at one point the scroll wheel stopped controlling the heat camera and instead just started scrolling the page. My recommendation there would be to either have some other key control the camera or to just have the camera auto-play at 2x speed.

Ski freeVENGE by Rein 2022-10-05T18:59:27Z

@javasaurus if I had one more day you better believe I'd have a BGM with my voice making all the instrument noises! Thanks for playing!

Ski freeVENGE by Rein 2022-10-05T19:01:06Z

@real-human-1000 every type of voice can work for something like this, you just need to lean in to your natural sound and be as expressive as possible!

Ski freeVENGE by Rein 2022-10-07T02:12:01Z

@rookrules I missed your stream today but I hope you enjoyed the game! You have the highest on this page but I've seen in the 4200's from a coworker.

Paper Prison by Fifut 2022-10-02T23:02:31Z

Made it through in 15 rounds! Very close on a couple of them but the game is designed nicely so that it's always possible. I did have some issues with catching on some corners occasionally though. I loved the aesthetic!

Pincolour by Haydads 2022-10-03T05:43:09Z

I feel like there are people out there who are very good at pinball. I have never been one of them. You replicated the feel of it well though! I do have one nitpick that I feel like would have really completed the pinball feeling: make the left bumper something on the left side of the keyboard like A so your hands are spread out like they would be on a pinball cabinet.

Connie by Payaosito 2022-10-03T05:58:47Z

Interesting idea, but the controls made it really hard to play and the range of your attack seems way too short. Also sometimes I would get hit and not take damage? I think a more clear indication in-game of what you are strong/weak against would be really helpful.

Ten Seconds To Midnight by reevest2 2022-10-02T22:49:13Z

Fun little physics game! SFX and graphics were both clean and straightforward. My only issue was it was hard to tell what prompted the money to come out of the bag. At first I thought it was when bullets hit the bag but they seem to just pop out randomly?

I'mma quilter, not a quitter by d00kl1 2022-10-03T05:46:38Z

Waited for several minutes but couldn't get into a game :'( Looks nice based on the hourglass though!

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-02T22:57:06Z

This game is for the birds! Took me a while to figure out it was a typing game honestly, but after that it was pretty nice!

Faster Food by Ani 2022-10-05T17:52:20Z

I suspect this was the intent, but the controls were incredibly frustrating! I think the 10 second timer worked against you in this case. Either cleaner controls or a 30 second timer would have made this excellent. Great job for the compo though!

Ten To Zero by FlowerBadger 2022-10-03T04:56:32Z

I tried to understand this one but I just don't get what I'm supposed to be doing :\ A hint or guide or description or something would be very helpful.

Toilet Run by IngeniousPhoenix 2022-10-05T18:02:11Z

Very interesting mechanic! I feel like your horizontal movement should increase as you get larger, otherwise certain sections get incredibly difficult. Also the spikes were a little too hard to see. Great job otherwise!

Monster's Dungeon Shop by Deniz ARAS 2022-10-03T05:15:00Z

This was really challenging! Only constructive feedback I have is some items were really hard to see against the background and it seemed a little too easy to catch them on things. That said, I loved how quickly chaotic it gets with tools flying all over the place! Very well done.
