Ok... lets speak clearly here.... this has been one of the best games I have played in the entire night. You should be top 5 at least! The game is really nice, the audio also, the style also.... I do like the animation also, I really enjoyed the game
Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!

It does'nt really makes sense that you can walk in front of the policeman and they still miss you but on the other i really enjoyed it

This is a fantastically clever little puzzler. I like the idea that even the enemies shouldn't die, and the protagonist tries to protect himself as well as everyone else. the level design was also great. I was constantly asking myself how to move guards around to best avoid harm for everyone. Fantastically made game. Fantastic.
Great presentation! good animation, fun writing, nice vibes. Really polished and well put together. Great work!
@Carol03x. It doesn't make much sense indeed! I came up with the game mechanics first to fit the theme and than I wrapped a theme around it art/story wise. But thanks for the feedback! And still great that you enjoyed it
Very cool, such nice polish with the title screen zooming into the level.
My main complaint is that moving the character felt a bit clunky, when you know how to solve the level it takes a while to move each tile, and you can't hold a button down to queue a move ahead of time (if that makes sense).
But overall excellent job, making a puzzle game under time constraints is really impressive to me
Best jam game I have played yet! Finished it too! Loved the graphics and concept. Was a pretty easy once I got a hang of it but could easily be expanded. Also I would like to be able to skip the walk animation if I tap twice. Other than that great. Perhaps some sort of guard dog unit that rushes 2 squares but doesn't shoot? Amazing work!
@moritz14 There are still a some more harder levels over c:. And thank you!
@chez3 Nice! Thanks

Fantastic game, love a good puzzler! Got to level 10 and ended up getting a cop killed! Best game I've played so far.
@gurglesprain Thank you for the feedback! It makes a lot of sense what you said. In an upcoming update I will make it so that you can hold the button instead of spamming it (or speeding up). And actually someone playtested it for me and had exactly the same complaint. So I totally understand. Thanks for playing !
@jetthesimon Nice feedback! The thing about the button input that is too slow and or could be changed, understandable. And also great to hear that this is the best jam game you played! Really really thank you! And really cool that you see room for expandability in this game
I will play all your games tomorrow and also give feedback on them. Now I am going to get some sleep first. Thank you all

The graphics are beautiful, the concept is fun. My only complaint is the puzzles were all trivially easy but hey, it's a game jam game, just having functional puzzles is a tremendous achievement.
I won — and the cops go wild! I really liked the weird don't-let-the-cops-kill-each-other Sokoban kinda thing. I think with just one more mechanic, and a couple levels with larger boards, it could have felt more substantial. I also would have liked to be able to hold the movement buttons and keep going in a direction, as the animation was rather long. But the art is nice and stylish. And man, this prisoner's really got some moves!
Nice take on a puzzle game, the storyline kept me engaged! Nice work!!
One of the best games tried so far! Everything was well done and the game is fun and a bit challenging. Great job!

Cool puzzle game with a small and funny story to follow and progressive difficulty. Wondering how far it goes. I guess at some point you may be limited by th size of the grid, but maybe it can be improved with bigger grids? Very good entry anyway!
@jeremyfa Thank you for playing and also for the feedback! There are 10 levels using this same grid. Didn't explore bigger grids yet. Good point though. Level design was hard. I tried keeping it simple while still making all the levels interesting in their own way. With a slightly bigger grid there will definitely be more possible. I will explore it if I continue working on it. Thank you for letting me realize that!

@mickgerritsen You're welcome! Actually I am just thinking that another way of expanding the concept could be, on bigger grids, to add walls
@jeremyfa Indeed! That would be cool too. Do you think people are interested in this kind of game as a full game with a few hours of gameplay? Just curious what you think

Awesome job :)! And great humor too ;) Really good idea for a puzzle concept, and already very polished. I can already see how this can turn into something even more amazing with more time than available for a jam! :sunglasses: congrats!
Great little puzzle game. I made a puzzle game for the jam as well so I can appreciate how tough it is to create interesting puzzle ideas and make levels do kudos for that. I really like the style and aesthetic of the prison escape, and the ways the guards react is quite good.
The game was a bit on the easy side this most puzzles having basically the same solution. In the future you could mix this up by maybe having guards that only attack when in a block right next to the player, walls, security cameras that you can't walk into at all, guards that have a wider field of view, and bigger grids.
I really think this concept has legs, and you could go lots of directions with your aesthetic choice. Well done!
I liked the game, cool concept. The puzzles were a but too sudoku-like for my taste (meaning once you understand the underlying mechanics of the game, the challenge disappears). But even making functioning puzzles is a great achievement. It has a very polished feel, I especially loved the graphics. One other nitpick that I have, is that the animations are very slow, which can be frustrating in a puzzle game. This is especially noticeable when you tend to solve the puzzle in your head completely before executing them (as I tend to do). So a way to skip the animations (e.g. double tap) to get a more sokoban-kinda speed would be nice. I think this would be a great mobile game! Then you can make more complex puzzles, and players can solve a few puzzles at the time, rather than playing through the whole game in one sitting.
@evert Thank you!
@ryannielson Thank you for the feedback. Great to hear it from someone who also made a puzzle game for the jam. I'll try it soon and are going to rate you! I also think the game turned out easier for my taste. Didn't put enough time into developing more interesting solutions for the puzzles with this mechanic in mind. I will put more time into level design next time. Mixing it up with those kind of mechanics also would be lovely. Will think about it a bit more. Thanks for playing!
@sergeantbiggs Thank you for playing and for the nice feedback! If I continue on the game I can put more thought into the level/puzzle design. I also understand the point about the animations. Because of this kind of feedback I am getting more convinced about making it into a full game and developing it into something real! Thanks

@mickgerritsen Puzzle games are pretty popular on mobile, so, with more polish and content, why not?
love this. great twist on the sliding block puzzle genre. and you got so much use out of that single guard type, bravo
Best game i've played so far. The idea is promising and I strongly believe it could be a lot more interesting if you have more than 3 days of development :D Great work!

that was fun and polished, i loved it! good level design and a very original take on 'keep it alive'. the added layer of challenge of trying to avoid cops colateral damage was a nice adition too, and i laughed at the outcomes of every level because the game writing was funny, good job :)

What a great little puzzle game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 46 compilation video series, if you want to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/ZEPFZEokffw
Thank you for all the feedback and for playing my game!

The best game I ever saw for this ld46 it looks like a non-jam game.
@jupiter-hadley Thank you for featuring and playing my game!
that was really good, it truly was entertaining, i just don't really see how it fits the theme. but anyways i liked it!
@nova31 thank you for this compliment! @doritolord The game over condition for the puzzle is when someone dies. So you need to keep everyone alive. So the game isn't fully focused on the theme like other survival games, but I still tried sticking to the theme. Nonetheless thank you for the feedback and for playing!
Cool and clever game! Some ideas for an upgraded version:
-The cops have turret AI. You could roll with it and play on the "stupid cop" stereotype or create different types of "cops" with different AI.
-Would be nice to have a some kind of level variation, like obstacles or different shape / size of rooms.
-For my personal taste, I would put more stealth inspiration in the game (possibility to lure enemies, enemy patrol, hiding spots,...)
Good work!
Wow I had fun playing This Game
Wow.
This was insane! This is the sort of thing that would take a team of devs 3 months  Even the menu was great. The puzzles were good (although maybe you could add some mechanics to mix things up if you make a post-jam), it was very funny to read the messages and the animations fitted the game perfectly.
I usually try and say a thing to improve but I honestly can't think of any. Amazing entry!
@digitallimestone Thank you by the amazing feedback! I didn't explore all possibilities yet in terms of grid size and amount of units. And I felt that the gridsize limited the difficulty of this version of the game. But there is a lot more possible. There is a limit of course and just adding content in the way of bigger or different grids or higher amount of guards is not refreshing. I already got some ideas and mechanics that can fit the theme of the game well. Maybe I will continue development on it after a while to make it into a puzzle game of multiple hours. I am glad you liked it!

I liked the game a lot, really cool and simple idea.
That was really fun; liked the idea of a pacifist prison break :) Really love the seamless transition from the menu to the game. As others have said, possibly a bit too easy to begin with (not convinced about letting you walk through the tiles in front of a cop), but the last few levels had me trying to plan out the moves way ahead. Maybe having extra mechanics like cops rotating their field of vision on every other turn would work to increase the challenge in future levels?
@amkingtrp thank you for the feedback. Indeed, in terms of level pacing it is a bit slow. Good suggestion you have about rotating the units! For the game I had a few other mechanics in mind. For a post jam it is nice to have this list of all possible features
The game idea and concept is perfect. I just loved playing this strategy game. I really have nothing to point out, because the game is just perfect.
Very nice game. One thing I really liked: you made the violence a non-option! And also the way the character moves, is really immersive :) Well done!
