Had a really great time! Very good animations and super satisfying to shoot and move around to the beat! Great job man!
Only thing I would add is more particles and pretty stuff but you did a great job.
Really nice artwork. Good game overall.
Cool if not a bit confusing! Very funny!
Fun game! Really liked deciding whether to build or repair. Would love more unit unlocks and expanded a bit. I was wondering if I'd get less credits if minerals were destroyed?
Only thing I would add besides that is hot keys for placing units. Fun otherwise!
Good job!
I got the same bug as @schwarcraft but it was a fun game! Liked the level design and concept. Good job!. The song did get a bit repetitive but that's to be expected for a jam game. SFX were good.
Nice meatboy-like game! My only criticisms would be I would like to be a bit faster, I felt a bit slow. Also the wall jumping felt a bit sticky but that's better than it not working I guess lol. Nice job!
Love the youtube series so I am saddened I can't play on a mac! Graphics look great though Phil, can't wait for the devlog!
I really loved the concept, very cool! I think obviously graphics could use some work, and controls a little bit less confusing. I sometimes read words meant for the next slot as the current one. With those things and a bit more of a faster pace I think it could be a really awesome game. Nice effort!
This is very cool! Loved the twist! Great graphics and the minigames were fun enough before the real story kicked it. Nice job man!
Would love to play but mac build didnt work for me :/
@sirtyler still not opening. Just says application cannot open. Looking in the package it looks like your executable isn't a valid filetype.
I really loved the graphics and sound. Also nice concept for a game - god damn that cat was hungry!
I did have trouble getting more than two fish from the pond though.
Expanded on this game could probably do pretty well on mobile.
Nice work!
Really great idea and aesthetic. Also nice puzzles!
One thing I would say is make the menu a bit more clear. Perhaps instead of naming corps. to hack have just a giant HACK button. I thought the corp. names were more settings or something at first.
Also could work as just a wario-ware type game to make less options for the player to get confused by.
I did really like though and am very impressed with the transitions and puzzles! Very cool!
Not very "fun" in a traditional sense. But graphics and sound effects are nice! Also liked the level of detail you put in about the fish, you obviously care for the real life one very much!
Pretty simple but great aesthetic. Love the ET inspiration and the animations for chores! Also great UI! I would like more things to do/random events but I do understand it is an LD game. Great job!
Mac build didn't work for me :/
Was a cool idea! Wasn't always clear which option was best and was pretty repetitive. But it was a funny game and I like seeing the transformations. Good graphics and music.
Very pleasantly surprised by this one! Like you said needed a little polish, but totally playable and I loved figuring out how things came together. I do think the innovation wasn't too high, but hey, if it works it works! I did enjoy the crew management system, I haven't seen in your usual cookie clicker.
Nice game! I came here from your youtube video, always nice to see how fellow jammers do their thing!
I would maybe change the crosshair to red or something that stands out more, I got lost a bit. Also dashing when standing still should do nothing, I'm assuming you're just multiplying speed for x time.
Nice game and good mood, graphics, audio, and loved the menus.
Subscribed and excited to see your journey :)
Super fun! Loved the jokes at the start of each level! "Oh my god, they send snipers". Haha, great job!
Fun enough! Would like a timer for the knife and the band aid so I could time better. Otherwise fun enough, could use a bit more content but I'm not sure what. Good good!
Very nice graphics, audio (did you make music?), and mood! I do wish there was a bit more danger as I could kind of just mash the numbers. Maybe I was avoiding wolves and didn't even know it?
Also the robot glitched thru the floor so I could not win :/.
But that being said I really really like this game and place it among my top!
Great job!
I liked the concept and was fun enough to play. Was a bit fast at first but I got the hang of it. I liked the idea of the story unfolding and balancing your stats to keep the story up. Would like to see a version with better graphics and maybe a gamepad type control so I could easily switch between activities on a dpad or something.
Nice job :)
Really loved the mood. Art was great, I loved how you went into colour with the curtain pulling up. Reminded me of Bojack Horseman.
I love "experimental" games and this one felt very good. Simple but effective diologue/gameplay.
Also really great use of the theme - to be honest I didn't think of it in this way at all.
Love it!
I liked some of the puzzles, was a bit too buggy it seemed at times. But I am a sucker for a good ol point n click. Decent job! Had fun!
Was a decent game. SFX were obviously just Roblox. And for some reason I could kind of move with WASD but not really. Was fine when I switched to arrow keys though. Good effort!
Cool game, like the art - would like animations but it is LD.
Fun enough but maybe should have gone with levels instead of endless, that way things change more :).
Also soundtrack was a bit repetitive but didn't hinder my enjoyment too much. I liked the scrolling event system.
Nice job!
Pretty fun! I don't know what was in them, but those definitely weren't *just* apples lol!
Liked a graphics a lot and sound effects. Soundtrack got a big grating but good job. Liked the physics and how the balloon moved around specifically. Good job!
I had a lot more fun than I thought. I do wish it was a bit easier to pick up wood but once I got the enemies chasing me and not my daughter I had a good time defending.
Also thought it was quite funny when I would pick up a piece of wood and my character said that his daughter would "love this"!
Good job!
Was fun! Really liked the graphics and random names. Funny stuff.
@piko-monde Recorded in Logic and just used my interface to record some guitar and bass. Programmed drums/synth.
@moebiusmeow Yes, I did make it a bit slippery to add a bit of a wacky challenge. I hope I didn't go too overboard though. If you get to 10 points then you activate gnome mode though haha. Something to look forward to :).
Thanks for the feedback! And I will try and make the songs more fluid in the future.
@ubershmekel I agree the balloon physics need a bit of work :). I think it works for a jam game though.
If you jump the balloon will go a bit higher if you time right. Adds another dimension.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words :)
@watswat5 Oh! Great idea! Did not think of that. Something to think about :).
@james-shipp That is great to hear! My goal was to make it feel nostalgic in a sense.
@juako Maybe they are ;)
@decappoolla Happy to hear! With all these comments it does make me want to tighten the controls a little bit! Though in development it felt great to me, I guess that always happens when youre testing your own game lol.
Makes sense with the jumping, and thats awesome to hear about the shelf lol.
Thanks for playing guys <3
@plantleaf The inspiration was like "keeping a streak alive" and also in my mind when I played it as a child I often imagined that we were "keeping the balloon alive". Glad you enjoyed!
@bakob @inka-mcatee Thanks!
@melonking I am impressed you played on your own!
@ironygames Thank you so much. I don't agree personally with the outline as I found it a lot harder when I removed it, but I do see where you are coming from :). Thanks for playing.
@camilo-quintero the outline of the person who needs to hit will change to balloon colour.
@mlkvr they are yeah. Was my first real unity project so i didnt know how to do otherwise. I now know how to do better!
I think it semi fits the gameplay though.
Thanks :)
@slimmerburger @teto thank you guys so much :)
Wish there was some earlier unlocks to keep me more interested earlier one. Decent concept though and I liked the car graphic!
Good job!
I liked the graphics a lot. Gameplay went a bit stale for me but I can see how it is fun. Good job!
Liked it! Would like more varied gameplay but nice graphics and audio. Was fun seeing the wave develop. Nice!
Was nice, would like a bit more than text but hey, it is a text adventure! Funny game and very relevant for now!
Nice job!
Cool movement but card game did confuse me a bit. Maybe instead of colors that defeat each other just link it to elements or something a little more intuitive so you don't need to remember as much. A tutorial card game would really help me but I know it is LD.
Did not really understand the game. Liked the old school aesthetic. Better luck next jam! Still a good effort.
Saw your youtube video! Fun game! Would like more levels. Would work well as an iPhone app where you tilt your phone!
I like the story. Platforming on level 2 felt a little weird - especially jumping. Good concept though!
Fun idea! Really like the graphics and mood, sound effects were also good. Would want a little bit faster paced game play. But my attention span is low. I can tell you put a lot of heart into this though, especially with the little egg hidden in the bush ;).
Good job guys, keep it up!
I found the game very unforgiving. With a bit more polish I think it could have turned out a bit better. Perhaps a life system or something too? Did think it was funny :)
Good effort!
Is fun! Wish I could hold down mouse to shoot though. Cool concept and very cohesive graphics!
Very awesome mood graphics and audio! Felt crunchy and I loved the whirring fan found. I found the game a bit too easy/stagnant but it was still fun. If you added maybe a shop and powerups or something inbetween days that would probably fix it for a full release. Still fun though and good job! :)
Was fun enough! I wIsh the enemies were not squares because the other graphics looked very good! Good game though!
Liked the idea! Visuals were also a really cool idea, but a bit muddy. Would use a colour palette and brighter in future.
Good original songs in the phone.
Phone was a bit confusing to use bit I got used to it. And at first I thought I needed to press a button to talk to people. Maybe that is just me.
Great effort though and good job!
Best jam game I have played yet! Finished it too! Loved the graphics and concept. Was a pretty easy once I got a hang of it but could easily be expanded. Also I would like to be able to skip the walk animation if I tap twice. Other than that great. Perhaps some sort of guard dog unit that rushes 2 squares but doesn't shoot? Amazing work!
A fun set of mini games. I did get one of the endings but I think it was the most normal one. Nice job.
Had fun with this one! Do wish it there was a way to see your mountain finished. Would be satisfying.
Easily spent a good 15 minutes of my time on it though, a bit addicting!
Also pretty funny.
Good job!
I like how the thing controlled but it was kind of difficult. It was fun getting the power ups though. Decent job.
It is a very fun physics game. Sometimes my stuff got stuck together but I had fun overall. Good job!
Really nice graphics. Didn't really understand the controls. Was clicking swinging my sword? Other than that just needs more content but I see you only had 24 hours so understandable :). Nice effort.
It kind of overwhelmed me but I always appreciate a good card game. Plus I love your vids. Good job, but a bit more flow to the UI and a slower ramp up could be nice for a more full version. Good for a jam game :)
This game is so amazing! I love your take on this, and I love meta games.
I do think I somehow glitched and got stuck on the noise screen though. Will have to complete later. Super cool man! Great job!
I was confused at first and thought like "oh this game is broken". Super great!
Really cool concept, was fun to play. Kind of hard on a laptop but what are you going to do?
Really nice graphics, mood.
Really nice atmosphere and stuff. I wish there was maybe a story or slightly more variation so I can tell I am progressing. Great job though. Loved the art style and mood like I said.
I started seeing faces in the walls from the mood.
Wow! Really fun game. Perfect length and perfect difficulty. I was a huge main of the main mechanic. I would maybe like to be able to move around when in the air, but I guess you didn't let that because then it would be too easy.
Really great job, super fun! With more variation I'd def play a full game like this.
Pretty great idea. I wish it was longer but I understand how hard it can be to make levels as well as polish and stuff! I would def play the full game, loved the graphic effects.
Nice art and decent game. I think being just a little more clear on which the man wants to eat would be good, it took me a second to figure out the splotches were the dips. (I do NOT want to know which flavours of dips those were lol).
Good attempt and good job :)
Could use a little more depth perhaps but I'm not sure how. Good for what it is.
I liked the mood and graphics. I am assuming your main focus for the jam was the procedural generation - which was really cool.
I wish there was more to the game like an upgrade system or something, but when you only have 48 hours I understand you can only do so much.
Only gameplay critique is I wish that my digging radius was a bit bigger, because when I aim far away I end up hitting the dirt that is behind the dirt that I am trying to hit. And it makes it feel weird.
Really nice graphics and story, interesting mechanic too.
I would say make the blood shoot out when I press the button instead of having to play the animation, because it makes it feel sluggish. As well the snow falling should be less random and maybe more about collecting items? Because it felt kind of like I was just waiting for the right amount to fall and me to get lucky.
Good entry though, nice job!
@wizkid yes unfortunately you’d need to find friends to play with. No match making as of yet
@alaah That's a really good point that I didn't think about
I am impressed you have CPU! This is a pretty good game. You did a great job on scope as you definitely handed us a fairly finished product.
The hurt sound was kind of grating on the ears as it was way louder than the rest, so I would turn that down a bit. A bit of advice I heard was if a player is going to hear something a lot, you don't want it to be turned up too loud or be too long.
Good job! Fun game! Cute art! Exclamation mark!
Fun enough, I wish there were more upgrades to make it easier to click as time goes on. Nice OST and feel. Funny too. Really liked the intro sequence. With some more work this could be a really good casual game!
This has a really cool aesthetic. I liked the idea too, but I felt the images flashed a bit too fast for me. Maybe if it flashed a lot slower in the beginner stage? Unique idea!
Haha this game was great! I loved the music, the style, the upgrade system. It felt really complete and fun. Great job!
