Thanks for providing HTML5 version, really most easiest and smooth way to play LD games. Does the game have any sounds, btw?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → room606

Thanks for providing HTML5 version, really most easiest and smooth way to play LD games. Does the game have any sounds, btw?
Very cool level and puzzles design, I should make some educational notes in my notebook, he-he. Each new feature acts in its place. Very cool. Nice theme implementation, probably one of the games most closest to Jam Theme.

Hey, we definitely need stylish white T-Shirts with PedoSparrow! Arggh!! :imp:
Selection_770.png
Nice art style and witch character. Very good and helping educational (tutorial) tips and text bubbles. Aiming is not so easy like in those old school PS1 games. Good luck with your game! Very cool music, it adds atmosphere and gives more dive into game.
Very cool minimalistic art style. 5 points for that! Also the idea of generating the world around is also nice.
Could you please provide Linux/HTML5 version?
I tied to launch the game via Wine on my Ubuntu 16.04 LTS but it seems I've got Editor mode not the game..
Selection_777.png
The idea of composing level and features is nice but the need to carry each card to special place as for me is maybe a little bit boring and routine. Anyway, there are no bugs in game, nice tutorial, good LD game!
techo_demo.jpg
The visuals reminded me of beautiful demo scenes and techno demos from some CG events. But I have not even managed to make any progress :( I think you should add some tips and helper-texts, icons at the very beginning of the game or make some explaining demo to act like lite tutorial. The game is also a Cool Wallpaper generator :-).
Nice OST, good hand drawn characters. Very short adventure though :-) Thanks for such game experience, comrade!
Hey. This is nice puzzling + crafting mechanic. Simply low poly LEGO-like style is also cool, my applauses, sir! Also, I like this charming sound of character foot steps. How did you record this one?
P.S. I just stood in water for a long time and grew palm tree so it felt down like a bridge =DD. Is it a known feature/easter egg/intentional puzzle? Very funny quirk.
palm.PNG
@ploy Yeah. You're right. There's a lot of stuff to implement yet. Thanks for playing!
@asfdfdfd - Thanks for playing our game, comrade!
@kaizo - Yeah, you definitely right. Ability to restart game without reloading the page is must have feature. Thanks for the feedback, thanks for playing!
@thatmalzan Thanks, comrade! Your positive feedback will be redirected to team's artist! :3
@gamefive Sorry, you need to refresh the browser page to restart :) And many thanks for trying our game and leaving the feedback!
@karlipoppins - Thanks for playing. Many thanks for positive feedback!
@cafelovai There were planned game balance changes as you collect full body - like speed up, more hit points etc. But we did not manage to make it in allotted time :) Thanks for playing our game!
Played your masterpiece game. Simple but involving mechanics. I alo read back story, I like the plot, it is kinda deep and has clear and peaceful message. Very good idea, I want a movie with your plot, sir!
Simple and lite mechanics. I like that "Piiuu" sound of jumping (BFXR?). Not sure about the theme conformity but I like levels set. Selection_759.png Good job, comrade!
Hah, nice and simple mechanics, good theme implementation!
Very cool theme theme implementation. You rock! I also love that animated sprite of blue .. creature? :) Birdy bird?..
Did not get why am I dying without any collisions? =)
@mad-brokli I played your game a little bit. Nice concept and art style. The game even has some kind of economic model, that's cool. Maybe it should be tweaked or balanced more.
How can I place sandy figures? Did not get controls fully, sorry :(
Visual style is cool, combined with piano song it reminds me of "One Shot" game. I like idle animation of little eleph.
Things to enhance/tweak: I'm not a native speaker and maybe it' just mine problem but sometimes I'm too focused on game play/art/level that I have no time to read whole text, it vanishes too quickly for me. Maybe adding more delay would be good; that's need to be play tested of course.
Anyway I like the game difficulty. It is not hard not boring, just my level. Thanks for that game artifact and good luck!
elef.PNG
@kushimoto - Wow, this is really masterfully crafted game.
sword_game.jpg
All is done on high quality level. Level design is also good, fun and challenging. Well done LD entry!
@shaurya-juneja This game makes me suffer!.. In a good meaning, of course! :surfer:
Btw, how did you make in-game song? Was it auto-generated or hand written in some music tracker?
Cool air physics based mechanics. Nice level design, levels are composed from simple elements yet are challenging enough to give fun from play. Maybe there is a little bit not consistent style of UI (dialogs in pixelart lowrez style) comparing with all the rest sprites and sizes but looks good and all is clear and readable anyway. Music also good. I like game promo art the most (screen of this Post at the top). And little kitty, hehe. Meow!
P.S.
What are these pink large triangles mean on each level? shot_112.png
@cocapasteque Sure, I use Mozilla FF. Details below: shot_113.png
@managore Hey, this is very well done game mechanics, mister! Game is minimalistic (art and features and that's good!) but complete and all things work pretty good - intro level without the timer, I like it. Effects of screen shake and flash are just enough to convey game's live feedback to the player, this is so cool! My record is 11 level and I love this game. game_over.png
Few questions: 1. Do you have plans to release this cool game on mobile phones (Android would be preferable, he-he)? I'd played such a game on my smarphone screen. 2. How do you generate random levels? Is there some interesting difficulty progression subsystem? And Am I correct in understanding that each level is 100% guaranteed to be solvable? How do you implement such limitations in your code? (Yeah, I see, there's link to source code but some comments and notes on code from the author would be appreciated). 3. Do you plan do post a dev-blog / post-mortem article about procedure generation of levels in your game? That would be a must read, sir!
P.S. Followed you. Thanks for the game, sources and happy coding!!!
Fun and juicy sounds, love it for sure in this game! I'm not sure that I've got the idea of how items change balance of the game.
Also, is it a bug or a feature? I can walk on the water and swim on the back of the sharks, I can even control them via movement keys! :shark:
bug_menu.png
P.S. Say Hi to Barley! He did good job! :dog2:
Hello, Art and visuals look addictive and nice! Any chances for Linux boys to try the game? =/ Maybe, HTML5 version somewhere on itch.io? Thanks in advance!
shot_084.png
@katamary Concept looks cool.. but any chances to play it for Linux boys? Maybe a HTML5 build on itchio? shot_089.png
Nice graphics and juicy sounds, like the outer ships docking moment. Seems like the game has a base for co-op multiplayer (on one shared keyboard).
Very unusual movement mechanics but it kinda feature which adds challenge to the game. Graphics style nice and minecraftish. I'd add some highlight spots to the places the player can interact with and maybe add some music.
The game definitely has some potential but just needs some more polishing.
Also I've caught very funny bug. I could spin the baby around the restaraun, outside! That was funny. Screenshot from 2020-04-22 10-03-51.png
What a lovely ink art. What were your tools? Wacom + Krita / PS ? Mechanics looks fresh but not sure that it reflects the theme. Maybe after too early rapid sword hit there could be some effect added to game indicating that the player cannot make any movement anymore. I wonder, why my samurai got halfed? It's so cruel and violent.
shot_086.png
P.S. Although the game was windows-exe the game started just fine on my Ubuntu via WINE tool. Thanks for game again!
@shaolin-dave Hi, If you're on Linux you might use WINE means. Happy game!
Played on Easy Difficulty level. Good idea, nice low poly art.
Not sure that there are some music during the game but it could be cool to play some cosmic epic music while playing. Also, maybe it is a bug, but my scores were 0 on Game Over Screen shot_087.png
Also, I'd recommend to add some highlight spots and glowing silhouettes of building on earth and in space so the player can see where it will be placed, so it will allow to locate towers accurately.
Manual shots missiles look a little bit strange to me, I did not understand that they are missiles flying into space
shot_088.png
Congratulations on making your cool TD in Space game for LD 46! :rocket:
@gwinnell I liked creepy melody, it added a lot to the atmosphere. DOOMish look and feel is nice and bouns points for using custom engine, that's reayll impressing. For me sensivity was quite way to fast and uncontrollable. I liked level design and variety in enemy roster. Overall the game reminded me of cool and funny custom mode of SEGA game "Zero Tolerance", assuming that ZT devs could provide Mod Cartridge these days in the past
Very nice and simple concept, 100% fit in theme. I would maybe add sea sounds and some caribean music to enhance game experience and make game more live and funny.
shot_060.png
P.S.
And yes, what about Easter Eggs in a game related to ~~Easter~~ Eggs? Are there some?
This game for me is a good puzzle with working and challenging level design. Very cute pixel art, cute but maybe short cycled music. At first I thought that I need to guide the baby right into the house (to the door). But then I've got rid of all enemies on lvl 1 and then got whole idea. I think little intro or help screen describing the real goal would be gladly appreciated by newcomers.
@virimine I Played your game and hey, this is definitely a masterpiece! Awesome game! Visuals, music, game mechanics, economic model - all is so great and balanced. Game is totally replayable and made me play it several times, I was in the flow and addicted. I like these ocean backgrounds, crew sprites are cool and engaging.
For me this game is like a lite and casual (in a good meaning, my friend) version of Oxygen Not Included. The learning curve is ideal for non experienced players and for pro gamers as well.
Some feedback as a gift to you, comrades: 1. Maybe the better animation for energy room would be character running on treadmill. I guess that's what you planned to do but maybe did not managed to complete in alloted Jam time. ship_worker.png 2. Did not found the way to restart game without refreshing my Browser (Google Chrome, Win10) 3. Music is great and engaging. All style and visuals are consistent and great. Buy a beer to your artist! :beers:  4. Maybe some enhancement would be the ability to find new crew members to take them onboard. But not sure, it may break ideal game balance, currently it is well done.
Some questions: 1. Would you guys plan to publish some YouTube PostMorted videos or Dev Diary? Maybe you already have some LD posts about the process. 2. Do you plan to develop this concept more. I want to see it on Steam / Android. :smirk:
This is very cool and funny shooter. VFX and music - are top :top: . Charging effect, glow, shot sparkles - all is so cool and bright. I wish for maybe reduced difficuly (big bosses shot strength) but more smart AI - not sure that enemies try to collect batteries. Also, I wish a multiplayer with my friends for this game. And one more little nice to have feature - can I scroll down at the very botttom of leadersboards and be proud of my low score?
Pretty neat platformer with the fresh idea (water restores not kills unlike usual platforers), that's cool. I liked music the most in this game. Wall jumping was a little bit uncommon and hard to me, I was able just jump in zig-zag manner using 2 opposite walls but when had only one wall - the excercise was impossible for me in this game. Good LD submission, you did great job!
Hi, very good visual, cute and meditative sounds and ambient colors. But to my shame I've got stuck at the very beginning :face_palm:  ; 2nd level where you move on music tiles.. So, my combo breaks on each route I choose, I have no idea, how can I pass this 2nd level? Any lite hints would be much appreciated.
Screenshot from 2020-04-26 23-58-18.png
@abdul-zakkar Hey, nice idea, I like that you succeeded to build up a whole levels set not just a single level. I'm glad that you were good with the scope and managed to complete fully functional fun game.
Haha. This game is really funny and has a lot of humor. I reall laughed a lot from all these phrases: "Not a real Nigerian prince", "You canno use password 123", "Just run ccleaner"  That is awesome idea! Game looks very complete and has all basic features nedeed: intro, help, balanced gameplay, humor. I also liked pixel art isometric projection, rare stuff currently.
I've git 240K points till was fired finally :sunglasses: shot_081.png
Btw, does LeaderBoards feature work? Did not wait for my position in global rating and just closed browser page. shot_082.png
Nice top-down adventure game. Maybe it would be nice to have some restoring points to restore full Pandonteus's HP, otherwise the game was a little bit unforgiving  Also it would be cool to have sounds for throwing the boomerang, breaking crates, returning boomerang to give more deep into game to the player.
P.S. What was the story of how the "Pandonteus" as a name was born?
@romarogov - Many thanks for playing my game, + thanks for high quality feedback (no sarcasm here, sir!).
@artyom-volkov - Totally agree. Thanks for the feedback, there are a lot of stuff to balance, enhance and add, of course. I f_ed up with my scope and planning :koala:
@rojola @creamybacon2 @jk5000 @rey @tomw @thedouche Hi, thank you all for the feedback, for all these kind words and for valuable feedback! Thanks for playing, I'm really happy that my art and idea were met with lot of fun and joy, that is exactly how it was planned to act on player :)
So, yeah, I focused on visuals and fun more than on real juicy and challenging gameplay this time. This was not in my plans, but that's the real life, a more interesting and tricky thing than plans and estimations.
And hey, @tomw , thank you comrade for such detailed and great feedback. Your suggestions on gameplay and balance enhancements really make sense and what should be done in one of the top priority TODOs. Maybe I'll find some few weekend evenings some day to polish it and make some post-ludum version. Thank you again and happy coding! :sunny:
@rojola Ha-ha-ha. I'm glad that you read my hidden reference to Edvard Munch's famous picture. Good job, comrade! :sunglasses:
@justin-toyo @chief141 @teo-miklethun @ausstein @zerohbeat Hi, thanks for the kind words. Thanks for the feedback, comrades. That motivates me to evolve my ideas and participate in LD jams.
Very fun, addictive pixel art. For me the game was a little bit hardcore right after few intro steps  I'm a newbie though. Good job on level design, game design, art aspect. Very good job, comrade! Maybe skipping first intro rooms could be nice enhancement in polishing plans.
@mulberg Thank you, mister! Very nice game and fits theme 100%! I like simple tune and simple cartoonish style.
@mulberg Ha-ha! The same, I just used some jazz settings 😁. You can check the sound in my game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/economic-bubble
Very nice concept. I played fully crafted and finished game and that was cool! I like that cute low rez and low details pixel art, you did not lie, it was crafted with love. Cool concept, simple but balanced and complete mechanics. I wish I could design and prototype games on LD some day. I like that effects when cauldron produces new coins the most. Nice Job, mister!
shot_063.png
@space-banana Good idea, the game looks complete, maybe just lacks some more gameplay features, like different kind of enemies and more gun types. Also the temp was kinda fast to me. I won in easy level but failed on medium. Very nice job done anyway! Keep mastering your gamedev skills, comrade!
Low-bass nes-like music is cool despite it's short repeated cycle. I like visuals of sky. The game concept is very cool and simple, right for the Ludum Dare scope, really glad that you managed with all the scope and made a complete game. Catching ice dropds was hard but that is the challenge I guess. flora_victory.jpg
Just a crazy (or not?) idea - the plant growing in the form of DNA or a final seed - a DNA chain instead of the gold little sphere. Just to add some mystic details to the story the game plots. :smiley_cat:
Good idea, cool art and cool light shaders in game. For some reason this game looked to me reminiscent to Hotline Miami but in slow paced mode. And it was very cruel to let player die in tutorial  :spider: :new_moon_with_face:
Nice pixel art, cool concept which has a potential for sure. Not sure that HTML5 build is stable, after 2nd level I got blank screen and that's all. Thanks for the game experience, anyway, it should be released on Android devices!
shot_083.png
This is very good starting, sir! Low poly graphics adapted to 2D platformer looks good and pretty. I think music is not quite consistent with overall game art style but it's cool if it was written during Game Jam by you.
Very clever and nice solution to allow the player pick the level. This allows to check out level design and see more game situations.
shot_138.png
Sometimes the character falls through platforms and gets stuck in them, something wrong in collision detections I guess.
Keep it up!
Good colors palette. Good idea but it was quite not obvious for me that I also could (and should in fact) buy ingredients to combine them with water in the same menu. So, I tried to pick them from fridge, searched in the flat in panic  That's how I've got my 1st 2 Game Overs.
Also, it seems there is a bug in going to controls section (I think menu layer interleavies with it + cursor is center and I cannot move it to go back to menu or game) bug_menu.png
You did great job with this game. Keep going and good luck!
Hi, lovely cartoonish art-book style but I did not get the idea of how can I control the game? My fish dies eact time right after I click on food, in 5-10 seconds.
Combat mechanic is simple and fun but maybe there would be nice to have HP bar for warrior (not the old man) and some combat sounds. Also, screen shake effect was a little bit distracting and quite annoying, I think it could be easily fixed by reduced amplitude/shake speed. Nice submission, overall, you did great job, keep progress and evolve, comrade!
@convg Thanks. But if the majority is fine with current screen shake visuals - just leave it as is  @gelgavish - Agree, +1 for better path finding.
Cool mechanics, good take on theme. But I think pace is way too fast from the very beginning, I think first 10-20 quick time events should go in very slow manner, introducing the game mechanics to the player and helping him to get used to the game. Btw, does this game has Victory state or it is neverending battle of Good and Evil?
@wans24 Ah, I see. A very nice epic and promising plot! :crossed_swords: :bow_and_arrow: :fire: Good luck with dev progress! :muscle:
Fresh idea as for me. Funny and original art style. Are empty cells can be used somehow for some food combination experiments? Not sure that I liked the music, mute button would be a nice feature  Many thanks for HTML5 version, the most easy and fast way to play LD game.
@karas Nice submission. Very kind and pretty low poly, I like tiles on the floor and walls. Game mechanics good and reflects the theme. But I did not quite get how I can feed Levain. I press E next to it but nothing happens and then it just dies.. :sob:
That looks like a masterpiece cool tecnhical demo to test modern GPUs and computers but at the same time is complete visual story! Game has cool logical challenges (physics based but still!). Really great CG art and post effects. 2222.jpg
I want this game on my mobile Android phone. Do you guys have plans to evolve this idea, get some good publisher and make mobile game best seller? Wish you all the luck if you do! :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover: :four_leaf_clover:
Music is nice and non trivial in a good meaning  . Maybe the gameplay sounds could be some other than currently in game - not sure that they are consistent and juicy in game now. Good challenging came, classic game mechanics, maybe the shooting in 4 directions using arrow keys was a little bit unusual and new to me - I think it adds some challenge and fun to game feel.
Graphics is simple but bright and fun, all enemies and items are recognizable and clear to player, that's good. Good level desing and difficulty progression. Overall this is very good LD submission. Keep it up!
I think I've caught a bug once when my character got stuck in North wall and was able only slide along it but not move on the area.. but after some time all was fixed itself in game.
Hello, nice plot. But .. any chances for Linux Boys to play the game? Maybe an HTML5 build on itch.io? shot_090.png Thanks in advance!
The art is weird but in a good meaning  These insane faces have some potential to become new memes, sir! shot_134.png
Cool idea about scratching the shell in the beginning.
Hello, the game seems promising but what about Linux boys support? Are the html5 / Linux builds planned soon? Thanks in advance!
The puzzling mechanic is cool and well balanced. Pixel graphics also looks perfect and lovely done. But I liked the blog post (nice youtube teaser + screenshots and announcement) the most! Thanks for such intro, really invites to play your game, very players friendly approach. I like it.
Played your game - very cool mix of Socoban, Roguelike and Underwater theme! Smart and fresh puzzle mechanics with very interesting setting. I played on Linux via WINE, so I did not hear any sounds (not sure whether they present in the game); maybe playing via WINE in Linux was the reason of no sounds playing in game. Some underwater theme and juicy sounds can make this game more winning and cool; nice submission anyway, very good job!
Ha-ha, nice humor and dialogs, good job done here. Art and GUI also made fun and questish, that's cool. Varied music in locations is also nice feature of this game, I like this OST.
Выделение_010.png
Rhyming Bird Mates are awesome.
Is this a Disco Elysium in hell? :smirk:
Very feature rich and complex game (in a good meaning) for such short deadline like LD Jam. Good job. Things I liked the most: - collect radius is shown when pressed [C] - can zoom in, zoom out the camera - nice and really helps to navigate and overcome troubles
Hey, nice adventure, comrades! Very cute micro world and developed characters.
Cool game, mates. Nice take on theme. Great procedure level generation, btw, could you share some concepts or maybe a source code of level generation on the fly in your game? What basic key features are in the algorithm? Also, maybe it can bring more challenge if enemies decrease your hp on collision , not only bounce you off.
Nice jumping and rolling animations of party mates, not sure that I got the whole mechanics (how to play). I love the humor of party log during the game - reminds me of sarcastic comments in log in the Fallout 1 and 2 RPG games. Cool concept that can be something more. Stylized CRT Screen is also cool, adds some old school gamer feeling.
Not sure that my reaction is enough to make a good progress in game, but the idea is nice. Back story is also cool, very good imagination - emerald mole, quite a creative approach in character design, keep it up!
Nice ecologic adoption of the theme. I liked how I rolled the bottom on side of the sub, Like I'm some kind of gangsta :sunglasses: Nice entry, good and simple graphics, simple idea and working game mechanics, that's really a big deal at the LD.
One suggestion - is to add glowing or blinking effect to garbage when it's got collected. Another better idea is to add some collect radius where garbage is gravitated and collects automatically (see Psychonauts as en example).
Выделение_011.png
P.S.
I should admit that yeah, Greta won't be happy with my progress but she will be proud of you, sir, for sure!
@weirdybeardyman - Wow.. , now I just MUST return to that game and make it happen!
Neat mechanis based on physics usage. Music sounds very friendly, calming and kind. Not sure that [Space] works for me in the Browser (Mozilla FF, Ubuntu), maybe alternative or other keys to open doors could be a better option for HTML5 version.
@gamefive - Hi, thanks for the feedback, which browser do you run the game in?
@katamary - Thanks for the feedback, really valuable suggestions. Regarding collisions - yeah, I know, that's what concerned me all the time and requires lot of fixing work for sure :P
Ha-ha, I like doggy's sly face when it digs the dirt :dog: Mechanics is simple and fun, I've maybe would added 2-3 HPs to the player to be more forgiving for the mistakes :-)
Very cool childish crayon-like style. It all was drawn and compiled with love for sure. Music is also brings happy and calm mood to the whole gameplay. Sometimes I failed to dip my cookie, so not sure whether I grasped full rules and mechanics. Stretching gummy is a super feature - reminds me of Jake the dog from AT with his super stretching powers.
P.S. 146% wise advice :smirk_cat:
Выделение_012.png
Nice sounds and art style. Reminds me of old school times with Dungeon Keeper. Very cool .. shader, I guess? Also, I did not found how to quit the game (Ubuntu) :P It's like vim editor :-))
Nice entry, game misses sounds, they can add an additional 100% of fun for game experience and feeling. Very fun treatment of the theme, good luck , guys!
Very cool graphic and art style. But i guess that music not quite cohesive with the game and art style. Nice 2-d platformyish roguelike. Intro is a an atomic bomb, very cool!
Nice procedure level generation, very smart and playable, good job here, comrade! All other gameplay features are also very good. I've got an error with a huge stacktrace when clicked "Quit game" option - but that's just minor, doesn't break any fun anyway.
Very fun idea of core mechanics, but maybe it needs some more tweaks to add the player more controls of his fall: - maybe some ability to shake the screen at some critical points or (limited attempts - 2-3 for starting) - the knight could jump limited times on gears/barrels.
Also, does the decreasing health bar really affect gameplay somehow? The knight anyway reaches the floor eventually and gathers coin chests even after hp bar reached 0 level.
Nice low-poly + low-res texture, old school graphics :metal: . Reminds me of Playstation 1 very first games. There is an instinctive wish in this game to have some inventory or being able to open submarine's "deck" screen (making some repairs, engine tweaks and so on).
Very cool but at the same time hard puzzle game for me :P . I gave up even on the very 1st level, maybe did not grasp full rules of the game. Also, Developers screen is empty =(
Fun 3D graphics. Man, This game over scene should definitely be a WallPaper. So "noir"-yish and babypunk! Screenshot_20210503_220217.png
