Very well made! Excellent job!
Phenomenal, simply phenomenal! Masterful job!
Love it, one of my favorite games I've played. Simple but effective. They only thing I wish you put in was some calming music and more calming sound effects to go with such a calming and relaxing game! Masterful job! I even played it all they way to the end I was just that hooked! Masterful jobs again, and good luck with your game too!
One of my favorite games, I've played actually, loved the graphics and sounds, The gameplay was very calming but also exciting, I loved when all the dice flew around the screen and kept adding up as I leveled up. The premise of the game was also just fantastic. If you added some adventuring mechanics and polished the graphics even more you could even make a full game out of this! Loved it! Excellent job! Great luck with your game! I hope you get all the rating you need in time too!
I love the look and feel to the game but I've been searching for about 30 minutes and can't find the 2nd letter. I really want to finish it though!
Loved the graphics and audio, especially the main character, could see him leading his own full game! Great job! And great luck with your game!
Great job! I like choose your own adventure type stuff and the graphics and mood of the game are cool too! Well made, especially considering the time frame you made it in, and with a $9 mouse LOL. Anyway, great job again!
Simple but very fun, good controls, with the firing especially, I love the graphics and the lighting too! Great job!
Definitely excellent! Excellent job!
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, one thing I'm wondering about is everyone mentioning the checkpoint system! I have one checkpoint so I'm guessing that when everyone brings it up they mean more checkpoints, thank you! I appreciate that and all the other compliments and criticism towards the game! Thank you for playing and rating, and good luck with everyone else's games again too! And thank you again for everything again too!
@room606 Thank you for your kind words, you can click left and right to change color to match to the block, there is a controls and explanation text document in the game's folder. Thank you for downloading it and playing it again! Thank you again!
Simply Excellent!
Love text-based games, the writing was very good, I could visualize the whole thing. Great job! One of my favorites of the jam!
Love the graphics and tone and mood to the game, I could see this becoming a full game with some more polish. the interpretation of the theme was really good/nice and the level design was phenomenal, with all the gears, I also loved how the bullets would stay floating around. Looked beautiful. The gameplay is also good, but I think if you added one more element to it, that would make the game more unique, interesting, and overall, better, maybe something pertaining to clocks and/or time and/or gears. Anyway, excellent job! And great luck with/on your game!
Loved the graphics, sound, and mood/tone of the game my only problem is you should put a sound to show when the player gets hit by an enemy, otherwise I really enjoyed it, It would be cool to see a whole game with multiple levels, weapons, and power-ups. Great job! And great luck with your game too!
Simply beautiful, truly great and one of my favorites of the jam. I hope this one does really well and Excellently great job! Very calming and relaxing! Excellent job!
Really like this one! I like the old-school horror and retro video game vibe it had, I didn't finish it though because after getting so many levels in and I couldn't reset the level if I did the level incorrectly, you would have to restart the whole game, also ran into some glitches like infinite wall jump, and the anvil/weight following the camera around and not being able to pick it up, though. Besides those things I really enjoyed this one, I could see it becoming a full game, I also really like the story. Great job! Hope this does well!
The first game I played of this jam (besides my own of course!) and it is already one of my favorites! Great job, really the like idea of making a game about a humming bird!
Thanks for uploading a .exe file, one of my favorites of this jam so far! If you added some sound effects it would make it even better. Really liked the tone of the game and it gave me a good chuckle, LOL! I also really like the theme interpretation and especially the level design. I also have massive respect for anyone who makes their own engine, especially for/during a game jam! Thanks again I had a lot of fun with this one and great job! I hope this game does great during/in this game jam! Good luck!
This game has my favorite graphics of any game I've played in this jam so far, the lighting and colors where spectacular. The only problem I ran into was sometime it would look like the objects (specifically the crowbar looking thingy) would fall through the floor but I could still pick them up, also maybe add a fade out or something at the end. Besides that I loved it, really atmospheric, one of my favorite in general of the jam so far! Great job! I hope this game does well!
@phixnay Awesome! Yeah, that can happen sometimes, but it's kind of cool so I left it in! Good job and thanks for playing and trying out my game!
@bjl Is it not working at all or is something specific not working right?
@bjl I hope I fixed it but I am not sure.
@binroot, thank you I appreciate it, I was going for that "arcady"/NES pinball style of gameplay!
@thor-lucas Thanks for your interest, I hope the HTML5 build is working but it may not be. I will try to find a solution to fix the Mac build but since I can't test it I'm not sure if I can fix it. If you want feel free to download the source code files and see if you can getting working on Mac! Thanks again for the interest. P.S. the game isn't exactly scientifically accurate but I guess that is the point, lol!
@Blondhie, @bjl, @thor-lucas Got the HTML5 build working, I'm new to itch.io (and building for HTML5) and didn't hit the publish button, whoops! LOL, it should be working now! Thanks for the interest in the game everyone!
@thor-lucas, @bjl, @blondhie Hello! I know you were interested in playing my game, and when I fixed the HTML5 build I believe message notifications were off due to high levels of site traffic so I thought I'd let you know the HTML5 build is fixed! Thanks again!
Thank you to everyone leaving constructive criticism and kind words! And also for getting the amount of reviews to 21! Thank you again! @vilcans @Khud0 @thugjesusxvii @nutriz
@alexander-wayne Hello! Thank you for your advice and constructive criticism! I appreciate you playing the game and I'm glad you like some of the game's ideas! Good luck with your game!
I admittedly jumped during my first playthrough. Has a really great creepy tone, great job!
Really love the graphics and style, and also the story and tone/mood! I would recommend adding some more stuff to change it up but I understand because you said many things got cut because of the time restraints with the compo. The controls and especially the attack controls felt very snappy too. When I was in full screen mode some text in the opening crawl was cut off set the bottom where it said: KEEP THE PRINCE ALIVE. And then in windowed mode when the game started the ground was cut off the screen a little bit, but neither were too bad. I also recommend adding a timer for this sort of game so you tell see how long you lasted. Overall really enjoyed this one, like I said it has the potential for adding lot's more stuff too. Really good entry! Hope it does well and great job!
Really love it, one of my favorites of the jam! I really like the core mechanic, you could definitely take the mechanic further, even with other game! Love it! Great job! Hope is does really great, and great luck!
Incredibly polished, one of my favorites of the jam! Really great job!
Don't have a friend to play it with but I tried it out and really like it, good idea, really polished, great job!
Great experience, short, simple, but beautiful and great! Excellent job! I hope this does really great excellent luck!
Really liked it, the only thing was it was hard to see the color shields while they were overlapping sometimes, I would suggest bringing the currently moving shield to the top layer above all the others, and having them be opaque colors (unless that difficulty element was intentional.) also maybe make the color of the background be the color of the currently moving shield, besides that I loved it, really good first entry! Good job!
This is one of my favorites of the jam! I really liked the chain-chomp as the pet. Super fun, had me slamming my keyboard when I lost, so I got really into it. Loved all aspects of it and I thought t was great when the chain chomp started bouncing around the level, really great stuff, hope this does really well, thanks for making and submitting this! Really great job and good luck!
I was confused at first at what impact my actions were making but then I went back and read the description and realized that was the point! I enjoyed it then after realizing that. I would say make it clear to see which train is which (the colors of each of the trains) while you are in the drone view/birds eye view, and have more options beside "fix this", and "ignore this," it will make the game a lot more fun considering they have no effect on the gameplay, besides those minor things I really enjoyed your game once I realized what it was about, really good job for your first entry! Good job!
Really simple but has intuitive gameplay and a really good mood/tone, graphics, and audio; sound effects and music! Really good job!
I updated the description with an explanation for the controls, and an explanation for the larger file size.
Thanks, Shrinjoy_fox, nice job with Boomball! :)
Thanks, Rapter, for playing the game and giving it a high rating! :)
Thanks, dkdwrek, for playing the game, leaving a rating, and leaving suggestions! :)
Sorry CaldwellYSR, I've never build for web before, thank you for the feedback, and I hope you enjoyed the game! :)
Thanks, Tidemann Norli, for your suggestions and for playing and rating the game! If I were to continue to develop it (I probably will), I would add an option for switching rotation to "a" and "d" and multiplayer too, because that sounds awesome! Thanks again for playing and rating the game! :)
Thanks, Shelvid, for the rating, playing and leaving suggestions on the game, yeah the sound volume should be more balanced, the loading screens are just images on the screen while the levels are loading, thanks again for playing, reviewing, and leaving suggestions! :)
