THIS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE COMPO if you didn't make the textures or sounds!
Nevertheless, this is a very beautiful game. I love how the camera moves from one train to another.

Mac build wasn't working for me :(
You have to make the textures yourself...
Still, kinda nice atmospheric feel
Nice interactive experience.
I was confused at first at what impact my actions were making but then I went back and read the description and realized that was the point! I enjoyed it then after realizing that. I would say make it clear to see which train is which (the colors of each of the trains) while you are in the drone view/birds eye view, and have more options beside "fix this", and "ignore this," it will make the game a lot more fun considering they have no effect on the gameplay, besides those minor things I really enjoyed your game once I realized what it was about, really good job for your first entry! Good job!
I was greatly shocked and deeply touched by the overwhelming loneliness.
The concept is amazing and thought-provoking. The scene and the music make it quite immersive. Amazing work!
@collin-thompson Thank you! I was trying to balance between "too much of the gameplay" and "no gameplay at all". I think I need to take some rest and play it again with a fresh eye.
@patrickjr My bad, sorry. It was my first time and I have to read the rules more carefully. Next time I'll try to make everything by myself.
@moebiusmeow Thank you! Those are the kind of emotions I tried to convey. Glad you liked it.
@adam-konig That's bad. I have no Mac, so I can't test it properly. It should be working though, Unity mostly does a great job of converting projects.
cool game i wish that i can do more in the game than choosing but still this game is really good well done
cool game! i like the idea and the actual execution of it, great game!
Good mood. Wasn't sure what to do at first. Did like the look of your game.
Unfortunately I couldn't get the mac build to run.
@gaz-ireland, sorry to hear that. I'll remove the Mac version, as I have no possibility to test it.
Very interesting concept. I really liked the graphics and the ambient sounds. Cheers
The game is very atmospheric overall and the graphics are stunning :)
Nice mood. Well done!
Nice! Really nice, concept is really interesting!!
Really solid entry. The concept is neat, and you use the visuals and music to establish a lonely feeling very well.
This should definitely have been a Jam entry given that you used outside textures and sound effects, but I've tried to give a fair rating on all categories other than Graphics and Audio. The work you did do in these areas was very good, especially the design of the city.
Well done for 48 hours.
Edited: Thanks for opting out of graphics and audio Bereg.
What a powerful experience. The world design is amazing and seeing the monotonous ruins around you really invokes a feeling of loneliness. The music takes this further.
Solid job.
I think that's a game that your already made and that you just add the problems. But else it's beautifull. And it's dont correspond totally at the theme.
Really moody. I like the city layout.
Thanks for the experience. I have to say that it really got me in to the mood (just before starting work today) that "what is the point of anything"? - I like the fact that you can do nothing - it would have been cool if you were making the illusion bigger - more choices, more tweeking, and yet, same result.
This was something different. Hm its a hard one to give feedback. The mood is brilliant. Sound and graphics working nice together here.
'Meaninglessness' was a nice topic. After playing and thinking about it (while watching the screen) I felt a bit like a kid again. Playing with my toys and imagine stupid stuff to enjoy my time.
@bulle Thank you! I agree, there should be more activity, I planned something like this, but abandoned the idea for the sake of time.
@evergreen-games Thank you! Though it has flaws like any other procedurally generated cities.
@koemeterion, @santriptasharma Thank you! It's great to hear that the game provokes thoughts and emotions.
@joaquim-2009 Do you mean that I made it beforehand? No, it was made during Compo. The city is generated procedurally in Houdini, train cars are modeled by hand, music is written in an hour or so. The only things I didn't make are listed in the description - those are textures and some SFXs, and I've already got my portion of hatred for it.
I do not really understand this gameplay. But I like the game looks and sounds.
@bereg It's not all hate, it's just against the rules to post this in the compo. As a game though it was quite nice, I'm not a huge fan of games where your decisions don't do anything. The mood was really good and it did make me feel.
Oke sorry.@bereg
Great mood. Fun to look around the city. The best part was seeing the collapsed trains as you rode by on a different one. If you expand on the idea I would say focus on that feeling of slow collapse. Maybe make the buildings crumble too. I'm also always a fan of skyscrapers, so I'd also make some much bigger buildings that tower over the rails.
As stated above, your entry didn't follow the rules, which is a bit of a shame because it was pretty nice. I tried to rate it fairly anyways, but maybe see if you can switch it to the jam. Nice work all the same.
Edited: Thanks for opting out of graphics and audio bereg.
Glad to hear you also like Chamolile tea!
@burneraccount Hey, mister troll! Did you ever try chamomile tea?
I really liked the hopeless atmosphere. Would have liked a bit more interaction along the way, but it was cool enough as it is.
Great entry!
Great atmosphere combined with the music really helped with immersion. Not really sure what to do at first. Nevertheless, I really love the camera work and transition between the trains, it's quite cinematic. Nicely done!
Cool atmosphere with great models and music! Nice camera movement. I felt quite lonely while playing it. And I do agree that you should opt out of graphics and audio, since they were not made by you.
I really liked the atmosphere and the contemplation of this, at least I got a message of the tragedies of life and the natural path of the Earth and the little to nothing that we can do.
My LD game is very similar in the context of being just an atmospheric narrative of you not being able to change anything in the way of the universe - that's it, it's either tragedy or flow. That's why I really liked your entry.
I don't think people is being fair with you in regards of the audio. You said in the description that you made the music, and I would vote 5 stars for it, because it is very atmospheric and relaxing.
realy nice concept. :v:
The entry is nice moody concept. Kind of bleak and depressive, but still a moody one.
