Reminded me of Jalopy: not bad for a LD game. Great Work!

Reminded me of Jalopy: not bad for a LD game. Great Work!
Great music and great ending. At the beginning it wasn't unclear to me that i have to press space bar, other then that a great game!
Very good puzzle. I have enjoyed all the nine levels. Great Work!
Hilarious game, and neat gameplay concept. With more balance it could be great. Good job!
Played the jam version: loved the art style and the general idea. It may be more fun if it has some sort of narrative like "A Normal Lost Phone", but is also ok to have to do with mundane stuff.
In the jam version the battery is a little to fast.
I haven't died so much since Hotline Miami but I have completed the game. At first speed and jump seem odd but it add to the fun. In the last level I had to timeout a monster, and that is the challenging fun of an old school game.
Great Job!
Great game and great mood. I have found a random bug on the second level that for some reason the game stopped to respond to commands except "Help". No problem on the second playtrough
Lasted 29 turns. I like the idea of area damage cards that change over time.
It would be nice an option to skip a turn after you have unleashed hell on the enemy orde :-)
I really love the retro arcade art style in this game: especially the sound.
Graphics is ok: it reminded me of the original Sim City, so thumbs up for nostalgia :-)
I didn't quite understand power outages: I think that i was quite under the cap when the first outage stoke me.
I think that the beginning is a little to slow so time control could be useful.
I think that this game has potential, and love to see future developments!
I really enjoyed this game graphic and music. The idea is cool but there are several combination of pieces that that render impossible to complete the connection, and it's a little frustrating.
Other than that great work!
Always loved Space Taxi, but this is a little to hardcore for me :-)
Solid working placement game. I am not relly into dicerolling mechanic, but this game is fun. Good Work!
I think that there is something wrong in the link
Fun! My record is 80 seconds :-)
I really like what you have done with the graphics, especially the rain. Music is also good
I like it! One of the cool thing is that you can run out of power and still get trough with everyone alive: a very enjoyable dynamic.
Anyway I did't quite understand the difference between the 3 room on the front game room, map room(?)
The music is very catchy. Have you composed it for this game?
Sadly the game blink on my machine (Win 10 64, 1920x1080,java updated about a week ago)
Solid mechanic and loved the humor: great work!
The last powerball was a race against time :-D
It's something great when you look at the code! Leve it
Nice concept and good sound, and music. At the current state the game kind of flat out after day 10. It would be nice to have some kind of end game. Also I have found an issue when i click the spacebar to perform an action at the end of a route, and the game skip the shop menu. Other then that great game!
Great idea, but the game could give more feedback
I like the idea but it play out a little to random. Also some feedback on the Buy button would be appreciated
I like the concept, but maybe the camera movement could be a little less harsh: is almost impossible to regroup because the camera is always advancing and so in a couple of turns you finish to care only about one musician.
Anyway great visuals and music. Good Job!
great music and I also loved the artstyle
Great Idea using the ghost racers to this extent. My only complain is the lack of music and sound.
The tunnel in the end is to reconcile the start and the finish of the previous lap?
Impressive game for something done in 48h. It need to be a full game!
I am thinking that this game has all the mechanics of a TellTale game, boiled down to the essential. Branched story with only cosmetic differences, QTE, recap of your choices at the end of the game.
I really loved the voice acting: great quality for a 48 game.
Great game! It could use score counter
I really loved the art style in this one.
The idea is good but camera and movement sometimes don't work well
Very nice game but a little to hardcore for me. Nice idea to include the cheat code :-)
Great game, remind me of crazy taxi. I love the cyberpunk feel of the city. I think that it could be improoved with more ramps & jumps
I managed to make a couple of orders correctly but i think that this game need some sort of tutorial/recipe book. Nice concept!
The game has some good ideas in the progression, but I think it's a little to abstract. It may benefit from a more defined theme (what is a project? A movie? A book? Why you can get involved with criminality?).
Also I think that the news screen should be shown at the end of each turn if there is a possible decision to take.
Other than that this game engaged me for quite a while.
I didn't thought that CAUSING traffic jams could be so difficult :-)
I loved the mechanic of traffic jamming: it really capture the theme of this LD
I don't know why but I am always hooked by clicckers...
also: i haven't heard any audio, so you may remove the audio category and get to 20 faster
Very cool concept: I think that it could become a full game with a little more variety.
One thing: after the "rush" around 12:00 I am not getting any call. Is it intended?
@zapakitul that's about it: the pachinko is all about luck, like a slot machine. If 10 balls get in the basket on the right side you win, if not you loose :-)
@zapakitul I have updated the game and now you have to hold down the spacebar to shoot the balls. It's almost incredible how a little agency could change the experience.
@noa-caice I have just noticed that I have bound the attack on CTRL up, and this may be one of the reasons why the game seem unresponsive. I think that i can patch this.
@xacur yes, the last part after the twist is confusing. I am thinking of how to render clear how the machine works. Maybe a trail of lights that point toward the goal basket. Not that it makes any difference: pachinko is only about luck, but surely is best for the player to know what is happening. Maybe another message like "hit the target 10 times to win"...
Thanks for the feedback
@carraka I think that the lootbox opening should work just like a basic slot machine: is it how it works for real lootboxes, no agency or illusion of control other then click to open. It need a better animation (lootbox animation was indeed cut for time on the third day of the LD), cat spawning, and an highlight on how the abilities numbers improve.
Forcing the player to "grind" if he doesn't buy lootboxes is a good idea that expand the message on how lootboxes actually works, but it doesn't fit with the "the more you have, the worse it is" theme.
Thanks for the feedback.
@failedstarfish Thanks. The art style of the lootboxes is intentionally different from the base game to enforce a feeling of "out of place" as it often are in real games; yet my solution was indeed rushed: I was thinking to something more complex involving nyan cat dancing around but I ran out of time. In the pachinko is just hold down spacebar and hope that the balls get in the basket on the right.
@eric-florio is more an omission then a lie :-) The abilities in the beginning are indeed bad, and you can increase it via lootboxes: the omission is that abilities doesn't metter. Of curse is a cheap trick on the assumption that any player make when presented with RPG-like statistics :-)
@mosesg the lootbox opening sound was a late night failed attempt in composing a Sheppard scale. It was one of the thing in my "rework list" but i ran out of time, so i keep it for the annoyance effect :-)
I love the artstyle, and the repetition of the same level with different ruses.
Maybe it doesn't perfectly fit the theme, but a great game mechanic indeed. Great job!
I think there is something off with the jump: possibly is a little lower then expected to reach the platform? Other then that good entry.
Is a good concept: could use randomization, and i think that a good randomization you can have (almost) infinite play. Ah and some obstacles (maybe the trees in the last level are an hint to that?). It also could use some animation on the character (idle, walk) Good job.
Controls are little clunky at first, but when you learn how to build they works fine. The game is great, a good take on the tower defense genere. Great job in such short time.
Only one issue: please insert an option to skip or speedup the initial text.
A good first game. I rather have interact on Right mouse button instead of E.
Somewhat reminded me "The beginner guide". Is good, but with a little voiceover could be great!
Explosions are nice, but they really could use some sound.
The idea behind this game is great! I hit a bug on level 3 where one of my santa wont stop to go left, other then that great game!
on my first game I got some sort of glitch with the enemies (probably because i have opened the game to full screen).
The idea is funny but it require a little to much "mind reading" :-) Some hint could improve drastically the game
I didn't get what the Industries and home renovation are for, and also why the arable land decrease over time.
Did at some point say "water mom" ?
Absolutely loved the idea: saturation in the first levels is a still a good strategy because the enemy couldn't avoid the bullets but the player can. I didn't get how to destroy the "boss" on level 4
Nice idea. I think that it could be improved by showing the point earned when an enemy is killed.
Very addictive game. I died mostly because of walls. Also I think that in a couple of occasions the enemy spawned right on me. Other then that a great little game!
Good concept. Sound is quite opposite to the mood of the game. I also had some issues with some country that seem not to work, and in general migrants could be left on the map without a problem. Also i didn't find the loosing condition very clear.
Anyway this game is a good foundation for improvement, and I think that it deserve more ratings.
Fast and entertaining game with a lot of potential. Only one issue: what i can do when all the slots in the city are occupied?
Same problem here. Using 7zip (that I usually use to open winRar files)
Now it works. Nice Game. I have complected it with 20+ caribù, but i didn't quite get how to use the falling threes to avoid the wolves.
Great job!
A very nice concept and the basic graphics fit it perfectly: however I think that the "easy" level is way to hard. It may need a "casual" mode :-)
The idea have potential but it need to be a little polished. Maybe something different in the delivery part?
I really loved the art style and the sound/music
Well. That escalated quickly :-)
Is a solid initial idea but it need balance and a loosing state. Challenge from the gods could have make this, but is ok for a 72h game.
I think that with more mechanics it could become something interesting
Good entry but unfortunately on my machine seem to have some problems (both on Chrome and Firefox) The game kind of freeze at a certain point
Great Graphics and good typewriter simulation. The depositions are a bit long and without context is hard to tell what to write and what to skip.
Graphic is really good for a compo game. Got some sort of bug when the player stopped jumping after using a rising platform. Other then that a good entry
Doesn't seem to work on google Chrome: stuck on number of player selection. Work fine on Firefox
Love the idea: a nice mix of story with a solid mechanic
Fun but it plays kind of random. The humor part and the tone are the best part, the music is a bit tedious :-)
Love the art style and the mechanic of hot zone. I think that this game has potential to become something more with the introduction of different enemies and maybe mazelike levels.
Good Job!
It took me a couple of play to understand what wad going on in the game. Cool concept
Mechanics was quite hard to pickup especially in Lever 3 where you have to Expose cables instead of hide it. Clear Wires button was really hard to find. Other than that I enjoyed the game (I like especially the sounds) and I think that an overhaul on the UI and more levels it could become a solid game
Great Entry: it took me about an hour to complete it. Nice job!
A really good entry but it may need a different balance, and maybe be a little shorter. Also It need some sort of tutorial
the idea is good and you accomplished so much in 72 hours! It could be a full game with some better graphics, sound and options.
I think i have found a bug where the second fridge doesn't work
Great mechanic: quite unique and fitting for the theme.
I had fun: lasted for about 40 years. Maybe the heroes are a little to tough, and the population does't seem to change in spite of your action.
Good work
Funny game with a good basic mechanic and enough variation to last a while
Fun game: remind me of something similar that I have on Steam. Impressive for a Compo game
@dwemthy is indeed possible to complete the puzzle by crafting two big blocks and then combining them.
Is indeed possible to get stuck :-)
@amras0000 thanks for the review. Some explanation on the process: I have started creating this game by drawing the final shapes and than regress to the single cubes, and by doing that i have selected the weird recipes somewhat out of necessity. The problem is that if you create two T shaped object you'll get stuck so i had a limitation on the max number of objects for each type.
Probably with a little time I can work out all the possible combination to get to the final objective and creating a smoother crafting ruleset.
This is kind of fun: a great take on the theme
Great game! Love the humor, and the stacking mechanic. As a feedback i think that it would be better if the expired posters loose color and become white, and maybe torn as in real life.
Great job!
Good puzzle game. I got stuck on a later level with teleport and 2 "bridges" Sometime is kind of hard to tell the player from the stones
The basic idea is good but it may need more mechanic (what are the money for?). The interface is a bit clunky: i think that stars instead of number could work better, also it require a couple click to many to assign clients and "servers". It would be good if the buttons for already assigned perople changed color.
Other then that a good entry
I love crowd mechanic and this game is great. Great polish for a weekend game.
Just one thing: how you have to time the doors to actually convince people to use front door to get on the bus?
The idea is good, but the drag and drop interface to draw the track is kind of bad.
Nice take on the "space" theme.
I love voice acted games :-)
Definitely a good first attempt: kind of hard but good.
A nice take on the classic Marble Madness, managed to get to the final level (I guess) but didn't complete it.
I like in particular the mood of this game
Graphics is really good but controls are hard to master.
Good entry!
The concept is cool, but it seams kind of random. I have managed to win with 3 mines, but I was quite lucky
love the 3d models, but the game is way to long. Also some choices are a net loss compared to the others
Love the art style but the gameplay is kind of repetitive and probably a little bit to long
Simple concept but really nice game
Love the voices and the animations: Great entry!
good concept for a quick game: 3d models are ok, but it could be improved with some polish in the UI
Good game: you can't definitely create an open world MMO game for Ludum Dare :-)
it could be a good concept, but is kind of random. Nice pixel art
Nice little game: sometime an enemy got stuck in a corner
Love the retro art style and the main feature of switching ships
Good game: is kind of easy if you focus on one minion but it become challenging fast if you try to star a group
Simple concept and great polish for a game made in such a short time.
Great Job!
Thanks for the feedback everyone! Yes the game need balance.
I don't think that the shepherd is to slow: actually the sheep need to be a little faster than the shepherd because with the herd mechanic that I have implemented a lot more sheep would trail behind.
Said that maybe time could be compressed, or the distance between the temples shortened.
I found out that balance in this sort of game is not a easy task as i through :) and in this system there are only two variables to balance. If I tweak a number up i spiral up to over 1000 sheep, and the game freeze (I have implemented an hard cap on the number of sheep and food, but i need to implement a shortcut in the way that the sheep search for food).
Anyway for reference: above 25 is a good result.
@zetorama thank you: the mechanic is already in place, but probably is not so evident. Sheep have 3 states: following the shepherd, searching for food, or group in the herd. If you pass close (or trough) the herd you catch some of the sheep, and if you lead them trough food they will stay close.
It probably need a lot of balancing on the timing for the sheep to eat and the overall speed of the game
@strega thank you. No end state: you continue to play until you have sheeps, or until the game crash because there is to much food for the pathfinding to handle :D I really should implement a shortcut in the pathfinding...
A good twist on the classic. The color scheme was a little to bright for me. Other than that a good entry
A good mix of management and guessing game
Great game: kind of hard in the end to keep the rocket from spinning
Took me a while to figure out who where the controlled character, and I missed the line in the menù about the single control via spacebar. Other than that a good idea, and very hard game. Great work!
This is kind of my life simulator :-D
Solid mechanic and nice art
Nice game and original mechanic! I got some clipping bug.
Good for a first entry: UI in unity could be hard to master, but it may be the single thing that make or break a game, especially one based on numbers
Good entry: it kind of teach you to save the less urgent case first and sacrifice the urgent
Good stylish game a great take on the theme.
Is kind of hard until you figure out an obstacle sequence to run to the border of the table. Then it become quite easy
Now I have to study your source code to understand how to make games for the Game Boy :-D Great job!
Love the Candlestick chart: thank you for uploading the source code!
Great game! But I am very bad at it :-D
Loved the destructible level and the general mayhem. Also sound and music are appropriately funny
Hitting more then one bird with a shot is very satisfying :-D
@gonutz thank you for your comment. The source is on the Itch page, just below the game "download"
@john-snyder have you figure out how to change cards? If not is OK: is a common issue with the interface. I will add some blinking squares in the post jam version :-D
@annie-owl an optional social integration (via a simple link to invite your friends and have a sort of compatibility test/poker game) was planed but scraped because I had issues with external links in the compiled HTML5 versions hosted on itch.io, and not enough time to debug it.
Maybe is something for the postjam release
Good idea, and I like how you combined 3D and sprites. But the camera is quite clunky
good entry, but it need some work. Controls seem kind of odd.
But I enjoyed the music :-D
Great Submission: loved the sound and the animation (the old lady especially)
That is a very big level to be lost in. But I think I have found the exit.
Very complex but it need work on the UI. Keep it up: there is probably a game here, but it may need a fixed scale interface and some information bigger. (played fullscreen 1920x1080)
Your life is currency
Good for a first game.
The events card are not working?
Love it! The game is very well balanced is not to hard that you have to replay it and "get good" but is hard enough to be satisfying to play. Other then that voice over is what made the game
Loved the Bloodcell mission. The neuron mission is kind of exploitable by just keeping the spacebar down :-D
Great Job!
This is the kind of game that stuck me in a loop.
Easy action, not much choice but yet I have to see if what's next.
The balance (if intended) is quite good: in any way you seem to be left with about 200 - 300 coin at the end of the day. No progression, but it's ok: is a loop.
Probably one of the most realistic work simulator :-D
Great game. Managed to complete it, and also somewhat broke it :-) Immagine.jpg
6.915 Points
Good game. Completed it.
Fortunately I have found some kind of shortcut (probably unintended) in the final section
@welliton the shortcut (if it wasn't intended level design) shortcut.gif
nice take on the "spore" game mechanic
Good concept: got struck after the "fin"
Got a series of word
That's genius! A great game and a great take on the theme.
Love the procedural generation.
I somewhat manage to send a wolf of the map by distancing it
Great game. Love the aestethic and the general polish.
I did somehow miss the highscore...
Good design style. Kind of hart to jump correctly and to stop in time
Good concep. Got to a "tech" ending. Is it the intended end game, or there are multiple ones?
Better then most of the later telltale games :-D
Loved the cat. Nice concept and it definitely need more levels. Good Work!
Nice little game: fast and challenging with enough polish to be complete
Great Aesthetis. Does it have multiple endings?
Really good for a first attempt. I think that there may be something wrong with the field of view. Completed it on my third attempt
That's a great idea, and the complexity of the levels is well done. It could use some sort of sound too
Definitely a chill experience. I didn't manage to burst a bubble...
Solid entry and nice take on the theme with a classic gameplay.
It become a little to easy once you unlock the "slowing" bird
I good experience. Not so easy to figure out, yet not so hard.
Good game, fun and easy. The hit sound was to loud compared to the rest.
It's a good concept but it require a little more polishing, but for an 8 h game is good
Kind of hard but good. I like the general style. Now, i don't really know how a falling ball fit with the Om, but it kind of works :-)
Solid entry and a very ambitious game for LD.
I didn't get it why planets go into extintion, and how to reverse (if possible) the process.
It probably need more balancing and a longer tutorial, but other then that a great game
Always love a good retro game. Nice Entry!
Great game: kind of random how you can get an alien that dodge all the cars, or one that is pulled off screen by a truck, but it is a part of the fun :-)
Thank you for your youtube video, and 10 minutes challenge: was a great inspiration for me in this Ludum Dare
It seams a solid simulation but quite hhard to figure out for someone who hasn't a big grasp on cellular byology.
It could be blood with some sort of tutorial.
Love the storytelling aspect mixed with a puzzle. Well done simple game.
The core idea is valid, but it need more testing. As now there is no reward for moving or loosing the "lemmings".
Waiting for a postjam version :-D
Nice to see that i an not the only one who thinked an IT themed game :-D
Nice game. Easy but addicting in a way: I got the whole map covered in water :)
It become easier as you go: it could benefict from some challenge in the later stages
I always love homemade sound effects :)
Great entry. Really reminded me of World of goo
Fun game, little hard to control. I dinn't understand how to make the smootie. I got the veggie from outside but i culdn't put it in the blender
@matt2728 thank you. Yes, is not entirely intentional. The camera point on tbe back of the player when he is going north (up) and on the front when is moving south (down), so when you cross a pole, or in general you start to descend the camera flip around you.
Keepeng the camera pointing north (up) is desired, or you will quickly get lost on the sphere and also the alternative is to have the camera always pointing at your back.
The only solution that I can think is to negate the pole (I think that in Animal Crossing the borders of the map are water) but part of the experiment in this game is see how the camera works in such unusual conditions
@wet-band-aid camera control could be something (orbiting around the player) could be something for a postjam version. The main issue that I had with a moving camera is that it tend to crash on the planet :-D
@shaolin-dave yes, the game world is actually a sphere and you can go everywhere on it. It does not spin, and the light is fixed on one side, so the shadows will move when you move left and right. You can cross into the nigh, and I changed the color of the skybox when you cross in the shadow to simulate the night.
If you go north or south at some point the camera will spin around you, because the camera is always pointing up
Yea, in the first screen I have somewhat disabled "best fit" probably while editing the text. I have fixed it. thank you for your feedback!
@aret24 yea, i probably need a smoother transition when you collect the balloons :-) Is almost an involuntary jumpscare.
@sciman101 yes, I got a lot carried away by post processing. I was aiming to something like Pony Island but I have ended in a classic test of everything dialed up to 11.
I had thought to add a time limit or something, but the random placement of the balloons would not make it funny. It probably need some enemies to run from to make it a challenging experience
Loved the art style, and how it reminded me of classic shooter space games
Grat job!
Cute variaton on the good ol' lemmings game. Very polished, and the sound in particular are cute
Great job!
good idea an nice execution in for art style. Didn't quite figure out how to maintain the balance.
Nice game: my only issue is that piecies moved on the Z axis. It will be better if all the pieces where locked in two dimension
Solid base idea to be expanded, and nice graphic. The core loop is easy enough and it kind of need some mechanic on the Tamagotchi side. Good Job!
Wow. Really enjoied. The art style is simple but really effective. Music is great, and the game has a lot of variation for a rithm game
Great Job!
My best strategy so far is to slingshot the load from one side to the other of the levels :-)
Quite simple but enjoiable game. Loved the art style. I too have some issue on how the arrow rotate
Nice entry: i have downloaded the source just to see how many lines of dialog are in there :)
Very nice interactive experience. Good music and well done simple graphic. My only nitpick is the control when you have to walk back to get the water
wow, it get dark really fast :)
Good Job: nice idea to have an ememy that had to be killed in a particular way.
Love the ingenious mechanic of indirect control of the second character. Great game overall.
HTML version seem to have some issue on the stacking of sprites. I managed to find two cats and two food but as now is kind of random. It could work better if some clue of the content of the island is displayed.
Nice art style
"No more levels". Really fun game and great take on tetris. Enought variability to keep it interesting, and fast enough to not discourage the player. Great job!
Little hard to controll, but nice game when you get the hang of it.
Is there an end or it keep go forever?
Love the idea of using the score of the previous game to unlock thing in later games
good game, nice immersion in a small suburban microcosmos.
Some issue with the text: most of the time the balloons where off camera. Maybe a subtitle style could work better.
some clipping issue, like the solidity of the character was on the camera
Simple idea. Great execution.
It was a while since I played some sort of telephone game online
Great job!
Nice interactive experience.
The beginning is quite slow (or I didn't get what you have to do before the tunnels are complete) but become hard really fast. I love how you can push enemies in from of the queen.
Great Job!
Nice complexity right out of the start. At some point it my become impossible to find a bottle of the right colour and so you cant recover. Other than that good entry!
Original idea and preaty complex to play. I didn't quite understand how the puzzle work but randomly clicking seem to be enough for a while :)
Funny game. I love the sounds. I had a crash on a later level. The one with two lines of green barrels. The game crashed with a JS error when I have hitten the wall at the end of the table (maybe a boundary issue?)
It took me a couple of reaload to make the game works. I have finished a loop.
Good Game
Played a couple of run til i was able to complete the loop of all fight. Does it has an ens?
It's a great idea but for my first two or three runs I absolutely got no idea on what to do.
Completed the second level by trial and error. It probably need some kind of visual hint on what to do, like in the first level.
Solod base for something bigger
Is there a way to control it with keys?
Nice puzzle. I probably done something wrong on one levele. Il could use a back button
Complex for a Jam game. Art style is really good, and the game mode variation is quite fun.
I think that it could be a great base for a full game
Good game. Liked the simple art style. The progress bar Is a nice touch, without it may not be so easy to understand what you have to do.
An alternative to the progress bar could be changing the colour of the level when you progress
Nice visual, and easy to play. initialy i didn't got how to use object and ended dropping them. Maybe it would be more intuitive if the chop tree was the first challenge
Solid Entry. Great Graphics and overal polishing. It may be a little confusing at first, but there are not a lot of thing to interact with so is easy to figure out what to do
Loved the humor part, but i culdn't stand vary long looking at a looping plane without my eyes get crossed :loop:
Speedrunned it  Nice game, with wanderfull art style
Someone had to make this game
@annie-owl wow 16 laps!
I think that is more than my record
shift is kind of a problem in windows 10 because if you press it repetetly it open an help windows
Other than that its a good game
Art style is realy great, and the game is very intuitive to play
Great Job!
The game is kind of exiting and easy to play. The music fit perfectly
Great game, and also one of the best simulation of lagrangian points that I ever seen.
Good Job!
Simple game, yet good execution
Fun and original game. I got to what i think was the final level but was too hard for me
Great work!
Great game but to hard for me. I have gave up after destroying all planets and crashing against an asteroid
Some good ideas in this little game.
The transition was unexpected and looked like a bug to me, because not on full screen the character was really hard to see
I found the combo keys and mouse a bit hard compared to a more classical breakout game, and also probably the timing to bounce the ball is a little short.
Other than that good game!
The jump mechanic is really solid
No problem on the web version for me
Great game, kind of hard to nut the bolts
the idea is good but in my opinion it needs simpler controls, like a single button to pic up and drop parts, or walking in the direction where the head is turned
Great idea whit the audio loop
solid art and sound, and great mechanic
Good work!
the idea is good but is kind of random and grindy how you find the fossils.
Some sort of hint could make the game more interesting
Nice concept. Hard to master. Somewhat the oxygen bar doesn't seem linear and I have run out of oxygen multiple times while trying to surface
Good idea but way to long and repetitive. Played for almost 20 minutes and got about 5% of the travel.
I was able to collect wood but not to build anything with it...
Good puzzle. Simple yet effective art style, and relaxing gameplay
Great digging mechanic and level destruction. The mouse view controll may need some work: they where too fast for me
Love the palalax between levels. It get mi a while to understand that you can moove in 3D
Nice trivia about rats!
the fire trigger is not so responsive so I had to keep the button pressed to shoot.
Also it could be a good improovement to add some kind of powerup. And an upper wall: i lost multiple times just by going up
Unfotunatrly I never was able to see this kind of images, but it's an original idea nontheless
Game is whell paced and and the level design in great.
Completed in a few try. The big fish is really scary
Managed to get 65 points.
Is a nice solitaire. It could benefit from some sort of ranking and objective in collecting points
Nice Job
Good idea. Just one complaint: the reset button is too close to an action button and I accidentally reset the level multiple times :-(
Simple game, but congratulations are in order for programming it on PICO8!
Controls are kind of odd with firing on the mouse and else on the keyboard. Loved the delay in the explosion sound (if it was intentional)
Cute art and simple but challenging game. Great entry
Wow, I am really bad at this game :-D Love the animation of the plane flying over
Short but fun. Love the art style. I finished the game but I still dont get how the harpoon work...
Some inaxpected ultraviolence in the tutorial :-)
Game mechanic is challenging and kind of reminds me of dungeon keeper in a simple form.
Great entry!
Controls are a bit clunky and it took me a couple of run to understand that the energy was some kind of a timer. The level generation is a good idea but maybe it could be improoved if you exclude the possibility to put energy over lava.
Other than that it's a solid entry
took me a while to figure out what to do, but in the end it was quite easy.
Enjoied the double jumping mechanic
It become a psychedelic mess preatty fast :-D I think that the upgrade could scale as well as the tecnology, becouse after the first minute or so it become a sort of a clicker
nice art, and sound (untill it become to noisy)
The concept is good but I think it need some sort of cooldown between shots becouse i was able to spam bullets (and almost freeze the game).
Also when the enemy start to fall it clips trugh the terrain. And sometime it fliats with nothing underneet
My main problem is that the veiclo got stuck a lot. Other then that i was able to rescore about 35 miners before run out of energy
Stuck in the second room Nice graphic and sounds. The dust particle effect and the lighting are spot on to create the right mood
The basic concept is good, but playing it seem random. Maybe some kind of choice could be better then random events
Achived somewhat a win, but i didn't really understand how. The lose state seam a bit random and some battlegrounds are way harder then others.
Other then that I think that there is a foundation for a solid game, but it needs more polish
Loved the art style and the sounds. Found the game to easy because I just tested every number in order on all the rods, so i never got any yellow light.
It probably could be more difficult if you set a limit on the number of bars you can moove each turn
Simple yet funny game. A nice abstraction of the stock market
@mickm I have tried to make the block follow the top of the tower but it rendered more unstable so the center block can somewhato contribute to the tower stability if you time it correctly
@blackquiltro yea the leaderboard did make a lot of a difference in the small playtest that I did. To think that it almost didn't make the cut...
Anyway the leaderboard is a little something that I have hacked toghether on Glitch. You are more then welcome to remix it https://glitch.com/edit/#!/scorebord-krome
@martin-magni Probably right mouse button could be used for orbit, and up & down. If I have the time this game is a good playground to lern how to make a mobile interface.
@brads-space the physics is a delicate compromise. One of the fist victim is the possibility to move the piecies. On a swinging tower is impossible to continusly adapt the piece without collapsing the structure or clip in another piece.
@stanroy thank you. Is something that I will probably add post jam
@eptwalabha nice suggestion. I think that it could be implemented postjam.
@aderpychickenstudios I think is not the placing system (the pieces with the same system that build the initial tower) but the tower that swing. Gettin the piece in the exact position is part of the "unstability"
@thewustache yes, is a choice emerged during testing. The game is implemented in a way that render (almost) easy select the number of colours but in testing one color was way to easy and four colours was way to hard and random.
I think that two is the correct balance, and it also made a good play on word on Ivory Tower
@hiisileiri each piece is equal. The swing is all due to the imperfections of the physics.
Completed the game. Are the levels procedurally generated? Some iteration was impossible to pass
Love it! It gave me the vibe of an 90s interactive CD-Rom.
Fun balancing game. For some reason the first house seam to move the island a lot more then the next one
Great Entry. Nice twist on the bridge building theme.
Loved the drift: quite hard to get at first but fun when you got the hang. Fortunatly the car can reverse full speed or I culdn't beat the game
Great entry!
Great game and hard to master. The simulation could be a little confusing. For example is not clear to me how different reaction affect the temperature.
Anyway I managed to get all the reactions
Great work!
Nice simple one button game. The music changes is particulary good.
Nice idea the balance of weapons but I think it need some different enemies that you can't outrun. Also the enemies deals not enought damage.
It escalate quickly.
The music is kind of strange. Tense. What kind of calls I am connecting? Only bad news?
Nuclear whack a mole
Not what I have expected. I love it!
The idea is nice but is confusing. Also I think that the gene modification shuld occur early (after the firts round). And it could huse some on screen tutorial (like "if you do this, then this will happen")
if I did understend how the game works it culd be usefull to have the number of animals alive in the simulation, and not only the cap
funny multiplayer game. It could use some polish like in the camera position/movement
I didn't quite get it what you have to do. Rapair as fast as possible before time run out?
Nice entry. Novel concept, similar to something I have seen when the light went out, but do it with it interference is a nice twist.
Took me a wile to get the hang of it. The landing position still confuses me. Maybe a white shadow could do the trick
Great game! Love the art style and the level design. Took me a while to complete it, and I almost got stuck on level 17
Love the slow mo effect. The music is a great choice.
An online leaderboard to keep te highest score could be a nice addition.
Great work!
is kind of a meme mini game :-D
Complex game. The best options to stack building are the one that cost more money, and so you have to balance expenditure as well as buildings.
Great variety of models. Maybe a litte to hard for the lack of flat land: i lasted about the same turns (16) bouding on the mountain top that on the small hill.
Great entry
Simple gameplay but a lot of points for style
I had a very hard time understending how the multiple jump works and I have not figured out.
Love how the music speed up when you press the key to grow old, and how there is a different music for each stage.
Great Entry!
Love the art style. There are some bug in the web version, like the back button at the end didn't work.
Is there a way to change the lightbulb when it burn out?
Also is there a door behind the door or is it a bug?
It's a very dark dungeon :-D i think i got lost in it and looped back trough the entrance door on the second level and then got stuck not able to pass again in the door.
I think that there is a scaling problem with the UI. The game is a good start but it's way to random
Solid Entry. Love how all the other animals are different combination of what you can get. At some point it kind of spyral out of controll.
Maybe it could use some sort of score system to understand how well you are dooing.
Interesting concept: the ability to one-shot each enemy and the objective to not make so many damages are a novel idea in the combat genre.
It could use more cards and option to be a full game.
Great entry!
Loved the art style. Combat could be improved
Love the art style. Camera movement are good and the game is playable. It could use some sounds.
Love the visual and the variety of options for a cliker but is kind of hard to know how to set up an army. The tooltips doesn't seam to work every tipe.
Great atmosphere and graphics. Maybe it could use some random/procedural generation in the city.
Love the idea but wasn't able to score any point. Done ddos and worms. Also the anti ad didn't work form me...
Love the art style: simple yet distinctive.
controls take a while to be figured out, but then is quite easy. The fixed camera work well with this kind of game so that you can always be aware of the dangers more then the player position.
Gameplay is hard but fun Great entry.
Funny little game. good combination of photos and sounds,
Solid tower defense. Liked the increasing price when you spam turret close togheter.
Lasted 3:25
I love gravity based game. Music is very moody. The spacecraft is very small and I somtime had issues of understending where it was turned.
Lot of variation in the mini games. Great!
I got stuck in an house with a chain of 5 patients on my firt play. The concept is nice, but camera and controlls are very confusing.
Other than that good entry!
Nice concept, but it could use some reward mechanic. I think that the avarage play (where you don't whipe out everyone at the beginning) last 50-80 days. Maybe with some kind of bonus to recharge faster it could be more variated.
Simple game but the story and the interaction make it special.
very hard gameplay. Maybe the game shuldn't reset after each death but continue until the unavoidable core melt.
Loved the sounds.
Nice old school flying game. Brought me back to the time of Carrier Air Wing
A good concept: it could be the base for a light management game
Good art style and music choice. The controls need some work expecialy the jump
The core of the game is solid but it need some better turn resolution like showing the effects of each enemy ship on the shields and base
Great horror mood, and nice simple gameplay.
Nice game: got to about 3500 feets. Is kind of easy if you keep getting items while if you gain speed it become almost impossible to reverse the fall.
It could use some variety, and maybe a scaling difficulty when you get higher.
Great entry!
mmh i wasnt able to put down a quary...
A nice experiment.
It definitely need an multiple choice in the first 5 pages or so.
I think that there is a bug on the cooking station that doesn't work all the time on repeated game
Done in 47 second on my third attempt. On my second attempt i think that a shirt has clipped trough the level and become unreaceble.
Fun game!
Another Record! Immagine.jpg
Fun and easy game Love the retro feel and how each level has it's colourscheme
Great game! Very hard for me. I was barely able to complete the first delivery after to many attempts
For me it doesn't work here or on itch.
Tried on Chrome and Firefox on Windows...
The art style is great but the game is very confusing
Best game since Paper Please!
I hope that this could become a full game, and right now is already long.
Great Job!
@phillip-scott yea, i got some issue with scale that I realized only when all the art was done so the background texture is a little too short. I tried to hammer the problem but I couldn't fix it
@borgi @henrik-ganard @dfyzet
Yea the scoreboard is a staple of my last Ludum Dare games. Once implemented is fairly easy to replicate it in every game you make, and is the single best thing to keep people playing
@dahut yes, probably the best solution is to make the game left to right rather then down to up. Portrait resolution is kind of a problem on PC and web, but the scroll down to up is a key element of the 1942 style games
@matt-ravenhall I had an issue with the audio mute on WebGL, that I had to mute every single sound source.
I didn't mute the voice because is not repeated in successive games (or at least it shouldn't repeat)
@walaber yea there is sometime some issue with the WebGL that I wasn't able to riproduce
Thanks for Playing!
@skel3ton While the enemy could only be the Zero (for the title of the game, and the movie by witch is inspired) I had to cut for time most of the planed movement of the enemy planes, like zig-zaging or chasing.
@cyberfrank in the web version is possible that your browser was slightly zoomed in? (125% could cause this issue)
Really funny. Completed it easily but probably it was beginners luck
Very challenging little game. Is not so easy to understand how far can each cord reach
Nice twist on the theme.
Good game, but it need the option to restart from the current level and not from the beginning each time
Great artwork and lighting. Music is also very good.
Great idea! It would be fun if could be done multiplayer where one player write the prompt and the other play as the AI
Yea, it is definitely worth to play with audio in the exe version
Controls are confusing at first, and sometimes the maze is not solvable. Once I understood the controls and the enemy movement the game is quite easy and I completed it.
Nice moody experience
Nice twist on the theme. Love the art style and the computer interface.
Also, why is the TAB on the bottom of the keyboard :-D
Fun, but kind of hard for me. Never been able to get over C.
Maybe the controls could be relative (up away fron the planet, right retrograde...) ?
Love the art style and the responsive controls.
Took me a while to figure out what to do but in the end I have completed the game.
Nice collection of mingames. The screen is a little to small in some cases, and sometime the UI cover the game for a few seconds.
Managed to win 8/10 games
I didn't quite get how the "busted" mechanic works...
Wait... how all this work
Is extremely fast!
Fun game. Completed in a few attempts
Two things the instruction are way to fast, it will be probably best to keep them on screen the mix of mouse control and key control is confusing, and should be explained
Love the chasing flag :-D
In a good concept but the controls are very hard. Also the recipe book is not intuitive to use.
Maybe add the recipe on the order?
Nice idea. The demons spawn a little to close
Completed it: it's the base for a longer game. The concept of random buf debuf is neet.
The banana gun is hilarious
Very funny Text could go a little slower
Work really well and the graphics is well done.
I consider only moving the first part where you ask the name to the end of the first play to streamline the experience
It took me a while to figure out the main mechanic but its a fun game. Completed and enjoyed
That is a really good archery game. The control and the aiming are very responsive and easy to use
Great game! The fishing mechanic is a little hard to master at first, but it become natural. The one button controls work great.
I had some trouble finding the city with the first boat: maybe the minimap could be active from the start without the radar.
Love the game style and how you keep it simple focusing on the story
Nice game, relaxing with responsive controls and simple but nice graphic
Nice and fast game. Took me a while to understand that i have to jump to climb on trees.
The dog behind the fence is quite menacing
@icxon that's great! Love how every time I publish a game someone always find a way to beat my high score :-D
@profan the High Score table is a component that I have made some time ago. It now take me about 15 minutes to implement it in any game, and for what I see is always worth the effort.
Thank you for playing!
@dzejpi yea, the LOD was the main focus of what I have learned with this project. Obviously you can't render about a million straws in HTML5 (and if you can the aliasing is still awful). I could probably include something more detailed then a cube, and maybe create 3 levels of detail, but I preferred to show this feature explicitly.
@binaryprinciple the minimap is a nice idea and something I want to try to implement. It couldn't be a second camera because the game can barely handle a single camera. Probably an abstraction on the cubes that get the same on and off state of the main game (if a cube is partially cut it will not be rendered as a cube).
Fast and funny games, nice art and music.
The controls have some issue, and the drop area is not intuitive. Maybe it could be highlighted when you are in the right spot.
I got stuck with the Merchant
@annie-owl kind of solve it. For some reasons the "next" in black on black Immagine.jpg
Fun game, well made with simple challenging gameplay. The cheat code are a nice addiction.
Only one thing: i think that the playtime is a little long, and it could be shortened to increase replayability
Nice Tapper clone. It will probably be better if the character snap into the correct position.
Great action puzzle game. Nice level design. Got 14/15
Nice game, but way to hard to control for me.
I love the retro art style
This could be the base for a full game, but right now is very confusing.
Is good that it kind of play some tune, but is not intuitive how to sync up the sounds. Nice idea
Good game, nice retro vibe and good level design
Fine concept and very hard gameplay.
I think that i have managed to gain only 4 points.
Good Job!
Fairly easy but a nice idea. Great Work!
Great game, but I have got some issues with the camera control. Probably is the web version
Funny tutorial. It could use some more sound on the action interaction (like when the plants attack)
Overall nice game!
Relaxing typing game. Il could use some sort of change when you reach some point threshold
Fun game. A little random. The rotate function could be a nice thing to add.
Very relaxing game. I didn't expect to find Gala - Freed From Desire in this :-D
Super cute art style. Really nice little game
Walked around the graveyard but I didn't find any human.
I am doing something wrong?
I think that I have an issue with one of the connected controller. Is there a way to disable controllers and play only with keys?
nice 3d and music as usual. Bit strange how everyone follows the truck.
strange game: the bike pedals works surprisingly well
That is a great entry!
It would be nice a "relaxed" mode where you only deal with post at your own pace
Survived two days
Great game. Is kind of easy to get stuck when you are out of swaps in late game, but is ok.
That is something great! AI NPC Characters in a game Jam! What a time to be alive!
The art is super cute too.
Nice idea. The rules and icons are a bit confusing and it took me a while to understand how to play.
Didn't manage to clear the top row
Great art and especially great music. The gameplay is a bit chaotic but overall fun to play
@noobdude thanks for playing! Newspapers are always on the left side of the mailbox and there is a stack every 10 mailboxes (the random generation on the level may sometime cover a stack with a building)
Best strategy when you are out of papers is to move left of the mailboxes (but be careful not to hit a building!)
very cute game. The map could be more "pastel"
Simple at first but challenging to complete. The magnetic mechanic works like a charm
Easy puzzle with a nice idea. Control can be sometime a little unresponsive. 3d Art is neat.
On my second playthrough the electron got stuck after a condenser.
The arrow pizza in the first screen was not obvious for me. Nice little game, little hard for the number of pizzas avviabile each time
I found it really hard. Nice take on the theme, and the dual gameplay is good for a small game
Very moody and very hard. I barely completed on easy mode.
Nice challenging physics, good 3d art, and the minimap is a nice touch
Real fun game with an important theme :-D
Great game but way to hard for me.
Great retro dungeon crawler vibes!
This is a great game! Love the puzzle physic.
Only QOL improvement I would has. A button to go to the next level when you complete a scenario
Cute Graphic and sound. Kind of hard gameplay. Sometime the spam windows refuse to close
LoL great game. Funny and fast
I had an issue on chrome where the audio was garbled: on Firefox it worked fine (I think that there is a generic issue between Unity WebGL and Chrome)
Very easy for me. Love the retro sounds
nice concept but way slow. The movable environment parts is a nice touch
It's a neat idea but the windows version seam to have some problems with the dialogue progression. Also the firt time I have played babafunini didn't spawn
tried to run it on Windows 10 via the itch.io app and the game crashed
"application crashed. process exited with code 3221225781"
Great take on the theme: the game is kind of hard but also really clear and addicting. Great job!
My god the goalkeeper :-) Nice game
The mechanic is solid but i think that the experience could be improved in the cubes cast shadows: as now is kind of hard to figure where you will be in the shadow and when in the light.
Solid entry.
after looking at your screenshot i have seen that the box should cast shadows, so i runned the game again. The problem in my first run was that the graphic was set (I think by default) on Low. On "Ultra" I got shadows
Good game! I think it needs a better feedback when you lose a life. Also the third wave seam impossible to beat: I was down to one enemy and it launches the balls and then leaves, so I culdn0t hit it
That's a funny idea and a potentially great mechanic for a variation on the ship combat genre. Is good for a jam game but with a little more effort it could become something complete
Well, that was strange :-)
I managed to score between 3000 and 4100 points: there is a top score, or an end game?
Pony Island + Five Night at Freddy's. Not the kind of game to play in the middle of the night :-)
Loved the sound: simple but chilled my spine :-)
That is why I love Ludum Dare! Great Work!
Now I have an excuse to learn how to use VCV Rack :-)
great game: I love the "rampage" inspiration.
Played alone and I think that this game could use a simple single player mode where you just play for the score.
Funny concept. It may need a little more polish in the sound department, and also in player control but the idea is solid. With multiplayer this could be a great game!
@laptor thank you! you are a lifesaver :-) Just uploaded a patched version
@jf1989 thanks for playing. The two incompatible generes are "battle royale" and "walking simulator" :-)
@fitz13 thank you! The "not game" part is the characteristic of a "walking simulator" game. The intention was to make a small "dear ester" mixed with elements of a battle royale game, with a little help from the players to write the story. Actually, it is the second "non game" that I submit in a row. I hope to break this streak the next time :-)
@saoi-games thank you for the stream: I have watched the vod and I have to say that your candid reaction was quite perfect :-) One of my goals was to see what it would take for an interactive experience to generate empathy instead of normalizing violence: my idea was to have anonym character on screen, and knowing the name, hometown, and a short fact upon his death. Then the player could contribute by adding a history by compiling the form at the beginning of the game (now this feature works in the web version too).
I don't know about using real kids names: in the end is still just an experiment and a tribute to a great (and disturbing) book that is a metaphor for the futility of the war; but the user-generated part could twist it in any direction
@unless-games thank you: the text on the left side was to be a part of a more complex UI inspired by PUBG and N1Z1, but in the end it was kind of too busy, so I dialled back to the simple big text.
On the UGC part yes, it tends to be the humorous side, but I retain creative control: also because the system is not automatic but is a combination of a Google Form of which results I manually copy on my server :-)
You really like tower defense games :-)
if I didn't miss something this one is way harder than "turbo laser arcade" expecially because you may doublecatch the same good email.
It seams that it could also be a sort of Tower Defense Paper Please.
The moustache :-) LoL
The only thing is that I didn't understand if I have lost or completed the game
Really like the style. To bad for the lack of manual reload option. Also, the star is really hard to shoot: maybe the target is a little off?
nice combination! Kind of hard, but fun. I got about 4 words :-)
Narration is kind of the best part :-)
Good concept. I had some problems with the controls: when I click on a button it still place the last selected object.
I also think thati it will work better if the object snaps to some sort of grid. Other then that is a nice game
Artwork and music are great! and the idea too, but is way to hard for me :-)
I seem to have some problem with the leg up command: the mices fly in the air and never come back...
Really a strange combination of themes: it needs Lamborghini tractors :-)
Good game: I didn't ear any audio on Chrome - win 10
managed to complete the curse in about 200 shots :-) the hard part is that the ball never stops rolling: I think that could be a less frustrating experience if the ball actually stops at a certain speed.
Great take on the theme
It's a great concept, but also the most infuriating game i have ever played :-)
Sure those are two incompatible genres :-) Great game
I thought that the easy level was supposed to be easy :-D Great game! It would be great to have some sort of seed to replay and share levels.
Great game and concept, really pretty graphics. Somewat reminded me of "Wheels of Aurelia": was your inspiration or just a coincidence?
