Good game, a better tutorial would be nice, I like the sound effects too.

Great game, the fast pace really works well, it's intuitive to play and the controls were crisp.

I can't play the game. The zip files are corrupt or have something missing I think.

Yeah... I did use WinRar. I opened it up and could see the file structure of the Zip file, but when I extract even WinRar doesn't like it.

Certainly the best game I have player yet. Great music. Started to lag after a while.
The art was terrific! The music didn't do it for me though. Also, the exit button was broken on my computer.
I loved the music and the art. The mechanics are really cool. I think the game would be better if it was a little bit easier though, or at least started off a bit easier.
Very good game! The pace was perfect. My only problems were that for a while I thought that shooting a powerup gave it to me, and when I died sometimes I didn't even realise.
@mercerbox Can you tell me what the exception is? If you type "java -jar [path to file]" in the command prompt it should tell you.
"Also, make sure you’ve used the game engine ahead of time or you will waste a ton of time on easily avoided bugs…" I experienced exactly the same thing... it even happens when you made the engine you develop with :)
It is certainly a great game for 8 hours. I think it should have a bit more pace and variety though.
Yeah there definitely needs to be some kind of a tutorial. Apart from that though, it is a terrific game. I think a little bit of variation would go along way though, but that's just nit-picking. Good job.

Great game! Some constructive criticism: inability to attack whilst moving took me a while to figure out and was a tad disorientating and the big hitbox you have to walk over at the start a good tool to teach the mechanics of the game but felt weird. Once again though, great game.
Certainly one of the better games in this LD. I loved absolutely everything apart from the fact that it was a little bit repetitive.
Yeah. The game was boring. I think you could have made it a good game if you did something to add some pace.
