took me a while to figure out what to do, but in the end it was quite easy.

Enjoied the double jumping mechanic

This is awesome! The art is really crisp (jealous a lil' bit) and the sounds are very arcady. The fact that you have to throw stuff on the generator or fix something is a little bit wonky, but I enjoyed juggling between fixing things, powering the generator and killing what looks like bats? Fantastic job!

An interesting game, I really liked the graphics and the idea I would be glad if you rate my game <3 https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/$240408

Solid game! I like the dual purpose design of using items both to do tasks and fight enemies. I especially enjoyed it when I realized you could fix a machine and kill an enemy with the same throw if you aimed carefully. Overall, a very well put together little experience. Nice work!

Loads of fun, liked the drill descending downwards as the background. Feel like if you're next to the generator/machine it should auto fix/fuel without spacebar but don't get me wrong, I loved playing this.

very fun, great asthetics, throwing mechanic is difficult but rewarding. great game!

etdofresh 2021-04-26 15:52

The mechanics felt pretty good. But who designed this ship!?! Why would you put the fuel so far from the generator and why not invest in more wrenches!?! Haha, kidding, no it's great little platformer. Thanks for the game!

almgru 2021-04-26 16:01

Cool idea! I really liked the stressful feeling of rushing between filling the fuel, repairing machinery and killing bats. The platforming was really smooth and responsive, though it took me a second to realize you could double-jump. Really nice presentation and pixel art!

The music fit the stressful setting very well, but it got a bit repetitive after a while. I also think the difficulty could be ramped up a bit quicker to keep you on edge. But overall, great work!

I feel like an idiot for not figuring out the double jump sooner. I honestly re-read the instructions multiple times because I couldn't for the life of me figure out what I was doing wrong! Haha, once I learned that, it was smooth sailing. Very creative use of the theme and there the placement of the gas/wrenches allowed for some interesting tactics, like throwing a lot of stuff down to ground level and then going down to actually throw into place. Nice work!

Really really fun! The core loop is great, and kept me doing run after run. I love how the throwing mechanic is used for fixing machines, fueling the engine, *and* fighting enemies. The art is cute, and the music is solid. (my current highscore is 9055)

clemonades 2021-04-26 17:18

@etdofresh hahaha I'm guessing, the same guy that hired you to find blue cheese at the center of the moon, also designed that wonderful ship lol. Both are brilliant! ;)

Loved it! I learned I'm really bad at multitasking XD

chumzy 2021-04-27 02:37

Great game. The art and music are really nice.

cpv 2021-04-27 06:17

Lovely art! Your astro-driller should team up with my commander :D Had some trouble fighting with that "birdy", but overall nice mechanics and game!

hexa3 2021-04-27 09:06

Nice entry! Liked the overall mood. A thing to point out, when I'm pressing spacebar in firefox html version it scrolls to the end of the page, tried it in chrome and it works great, it's something with my browser perhaps.

tevasliutauras 2021-04-27 21:20

Great submission, really liked the atmosphere. Good job guys!

Controls were pretty good, up-to-jump took a little getting used to but it was okay. I noticed a couple glitches. Sometimes when grabbing fuel it'd just shoot straight up, never to be seen again. Never broke the game, just looked odd. Also since I skipped instructions on the first play, I stopped to read them before my second... and wound up dying on the title screen before starting the game. But overall it was really good. Sound was nice, graphics especially were beautiful, and most importantly the controls were accurate and responsive.

yorsh 2021-04-28 22:33

The physics is really nice, the game looks great and overall is very, very solid. I struggled a bit to figure out that I could double jump (cause I'm fairly dumb), maybe add it on the LD or itch page ?

yurikun 2021-04-28 22:39

I like the game. it's simple, fun, and have a cute art and music.

threeli 2021-04-28 23:52

I second @yorsh's comment about adding a simple indication that you can double jump, though I did figure it out fairly quickly. You've got a solid core mechanic here. Simple to understand and seems like a challenge to master, though it clearly is possible to master it. I think there's a lot of potential to take this places, great work!

defilerzero 2021-04-29 00:03

"Quick, just throw gas on the problem!?!"

Enjoyable treat of a game.

krapht 2021-04-29 02:52

My only request would be to have running into a broken machine with a wrench auto repair it instead of forcing a throw that will probably end up throwing the wrench over the machine.

fractal-flower-girl 2021-04-29 16:24

I enjoyed it! I accidentally realized that throwing a wrench would break the bad things, would have been nice to have a note about that.

clemonades 2021-04-30 17:51

@defilerzero hahaha, capitalism at it's finest! ;)

rhoff95 2021-05-03 22:29

Really cool concept. I like the idea of having to run around and manage the machines. Really great platforming mechanics for a jam (and in general).
