that's not exactly how it works but maybe a subtle message isn't the point.

i liked it :)

entropy 2019-04-30 13:59

This is fun. The sentences used as "ennemies" is a really good idea. good job :) !

gastricsparrow 2019-04-30 13:59

Great satire in the form of a humorous and original concept!

lisa-bee 2019-04-30 14:55

I actually got emotional playing this. I like how it's provoking the player's guilt and I had an internal struggle wether I actually want to win this but I wanted to see how far this goes, so I made it to the end.

The different heart projectiles are really creative and good choice on the music and sounds. The intro with the music and the transitions already set the mood right.

fabian-pohl 2019-04-30 16:21

The game fits the given topic. The mechanic is simple but a lot of fun. I am amazed abou the many different scripted enemies.

dev-for-pizza 2019-04-30 16:44

Realy nice ! I love the concept !

voidfishing 2019-04-30 16:48

I really like where you went with the theme - the enemies are really clever, especially the hearts!

nyandev 2019-04-30 16:52

funny game :)

naruvan 2019-04-30 16:54

Really nice game! Dodging sentences instead of normal bullets/ projectiles is very interesting. Different types of hearts were nicely done and I wanted to continue playing the game just to see what other variants you made!

samuli 2019-04-30 21:44

I had hard time donating my money away! "Failed" the first stage as I wasn't generous enough. :D

daitse 2019-04-30 21:53

Great variety of "ennemies" ! very fun to play and quite nicely balanced ! congrats !

davidus 2019-04-30 21:55

@samuli I hope you act differently in real life xD. I didn't want to make the game too hard, so that it is playable for everyone and everyone can play it through easily. Thanks for playing :)

jakupf 2019-04-30 22:15

Very cool game! I really like the graphics, and the gameplay, while simple, with constant addition of new interesting enemy types kept my occupied until the very end. Story was also pretty good, especially the true win condition. Overall, great job!

vaizaragorn 2019-05-01 00:22

I really liked it man. I played it twice! I think I prefer giving money. Because, why not? I'll try simmer.io Thanks for your suggestion. I think it will make showing my games easier. Thanks!

sirrafufl 2019-05-01 09:25

A really nice concept you came up with. I had a lot of fun with the special voicelines of the characters and with hearths of love or little requests as the enemies. Great game!

davidus 2019-05-01 10:06

@vaizaragorn I'm glad I could help you. And thanks for playing my game twice !

davidus 2019-05-01 10:49

@sirrafufl Thanks for your feedback!

sam-machell 2019-05-01 12:18

I wonder if Notre-dame would be the final boss? rich folks unable to resist the pull of tax-deductable nation treasures huh. Nice work! The game didn't develop enough quickly enough to keep me interested for long but it's well polished and I like the audio especially!

davidus 2019-05-01 12:26

@sam-machell I'm sorry. I didn't choose such an endboss . Thanks for your feedback!

meownsk 2019-05-01 13:33

Man, this game is great. It tells about the theme very well and also very immersive to play. Thak you very much for it. It was such a fun to play it.

evogengames 2019-05-01 14:07

This is a 5 star game I've played this game longer than I want to admit xD

Thanks for this really adictive astroids parody

inferture 2019-05-01 14:09

Cool game ! I love the interpretation of the theme and the visual effects with the coins and bills! The fact that you took time to do some voice acting adds a lot
The fact that it is easy to win makes it so that losing is a choice and rewards the player with the good ending which is another thing I liked ! Good job :)
los 2019-05-01 14:42

Very well done! :D

mrstari 2019-05-01 14:49

really good job! is the sound by yourself ? i known this from somewhere. :hearts:

neowedge 2019-05-01 14:52

I really like the game concept and hazards design. You get a great frenetic rithm of game and a good message. Nice job!

davidus 2019-05-01 15:33

@meownsk I am glad you had a good time playing it. Thanks for playing and your feedback :grinning:!

@evogengames Thanks, I'm glad to hear that .

@inferture I created the voices at the end, so I had little time and I was stess doing them. Thanks for apprichating my work .

@los Thanks for your feedback and thanks for playing.

@mrstari Most of the sounds were created by myself (voices,...) , but i downloaded some effects from freesound.org (explosions,...) and the music form the youtube audio library, but I edited most of them in audacity.

@neowedge Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate that .

100th-coin 2019-05-01 16:15

Haha, oh this was great. It's a bit goofy how there's a 'donation' in german. definitely caught my eye though. great work.

davidus 2019-05-01 16:23

@blobo Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad I made you laugh.

kromeboy 2019-05-02 19:19

Love it! The game is very well balanced is not to hard that you have to replay it and "get good" but is hard enough to be satisfying to play. Other then that voice over is what made the game

davidus 2019-05-02 19:26

@kromeboy Thanks your feedback and thanks for watching all endings.

allan-urique 2019-05-03 03:32

This is really great, really engaging and how you actually made so that not obeying the game's orders will get you a special ending is just amazing, the message too, really good, well done!!

davidus 2019-05-03 07:03

@allan-urique Thank you so much for your feedback !

keyurrana 2019-05-03 18:54

This was fun. Loved how there was a new heart type every level, that kept the game interesting. The difficulty scales up nicely as well. Great job!

davidus 2019-05-03 19:42

@keyurrana Thanks for your feedback!!!

dioinecail 2019-05-05 09:53

It's a sad game but well executed. There is a lot of sadness throughout the game and it is hard to play because of this emotional tension. But i suppose it was meant to be played like that

davidus 2019-05-05 10:08

@dioinecail Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, I wanted the player to feel sad and sorry for the people. When you die, you have a happy ending .

enjoy-the-tale 2019-05-06 09:49

That's a very good ideia with and amazing sense of humor! Fun to play as well! Nice entry!

davidus 2019-05-06 11:42

@enjoy-the-tale Thanks for your feedback !

f1krazy 2019-05-06 12:09

I always like seeing Ludum Dare entries that try to send a message, and this one does it very effectively. I actually had to stop playing because I felt bad :( It nails the theme, and I love the game mechanics, although I felt like it progressed a bit slowly. Maybe that's just because other LD games progress so quickly, though...

davidus 2019-05-06 12:32

@f1krazy Thanks for your feedback! I know it's progressing very slowly, I wanted to increase the difficulty and the lower the level time, but I had no time left.

jezebel 2019-05-07 16:18

I totally enjoyed playing this game. I love the concept and the narraration and the voices are great. Its easy to play but as you progress the enemies grow more abundant and clever. I love the hearts, especially th purple ones that explode and wound you with their shrapnel. The arrows are also a nice touch, as are the sound effects. I also loved how the game has a conclusion and shows you what happens to the player if you loose. Well done!

davidus 2019-05-08 08:05

@jezebel Thanks for your feedback and thanks vor playing !

kingbedo 2019-05-21 01:55

your idea is cool the message is great i will spend money only for myself LOL
