It took me a bit of trial and error to figure out how to get past the first menu screen. Having the pizza represent a forward arrow is clever and thematic, but not immediately obvious to me that that's what it was. I figured it was just set dressing.
I'm not sure if there is an ultimate goal to work towards. I thought maybe it was to get the houses counter to 0/44, but that seems like a fools errand since six new orders come in in the time it takes me to back myself out of a corner, let alone deliver an entire order. Or maybe I'm just bitter that my gameplay didn't look remotely as impressive as yours did in that promo gif you posted.
There were a lot of nice touches in the audio/visual department. The skid marks are of course non-negotiable in any game where drifting is a mechanic. And I liked the descending-tone sound effects for indicating how many pizzas you have left. Good visual and sound design all around.
Nice work!

I got fired :frowning2: The driving feels nice maybe just a bit too sticky when the side touches a wall idk.
Wow! You really nailed those controls, perfect! Very close to slicks 'n' slide from what I remember.
The pizza slice being the next arrow in the dialog boxes was not obvious to me, so clicked around a bit before I figured it out.
Sounds are also great. Overall great game. This is so much fun, thank you for making it!
Nice art style and tire effects! The style of everything fits together well.
I like the little drift marks and the map, but driving was a bit sticky, good submission! definitely nailed the theme

The arrow pizza in the first screen was not obvious for me. Nice little game, little hard for the number of pizzas avviabile each time
Everyone, thank you for playing and for the feedback!
@zungryware I tried manking the pizza button more responsive and animated, but it was a last hour kind of touch haha. And the goal is to zero out all the orders. It can be tricky, depending on how nice randomness is.
@ayced ah, yes. That also bothered me. I couldn't figure out how to make a smooth kinematic collision with the engine. And don't feel bad. It's impossible not to get fired haha
@sharploaded I spent about half of the time on the controls, since it's the crux of the game. For now, I found that going forward and not hitting anything feels good :)
@braveskin Thanks!
@osh-studio yes, colliding gets kinda sticky haha
@kromeboy I left it on what I thought as the "hard but doable" mode because I thought just driving around was most of the fun anyways haha.
This is sort of how it actually feels to be the only pizza driver on a busy shift, lol. Love this style of controls. Im slowly getting better but always get caught in funny places. I was def feeling sleight frustration with the orders that keep coming in. Def see it is doable with some top notch deliveries. Maybe a difficulty setting, or a chill mode type thing. Dope game though! Fun:)

I loved being able to drift with the car, the gameplay is fun, the art is simple but very intuitive. I just missed having background music to give more life to the environment and maybe some system that gives us a goal, like a timing for when our turn ends, or points or money earned per delivery. But overall, great job! I spent a lot of time delivering pizzas in the city. Congratulations on the game! ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡

I am IN for car drifting.
And the peaks of this game's feel are awesome. You swerve around a corner and drop off multiple pizzas in one fluid non-stop screeching arc. It's incredible.
And such a shame that I got to experience it so infrequently. I guess you probably thought I would be a lot better at this game than I was, because I sucked. For every transcendent multi-pizza arc, I had twenty jerky insta-fullstops and five times getting stuck in a corner and another five times fking up which direction to turn when I was reversing while being upside down. There were straight-up 30-second-long slices of my gameplay that were embarrassing mistake after mistake that made me wince.
I did enjoy having to work for the enjoyment, and it made it even more satisfying when it happened. But I felt like the balance was slightly off.
I think the feel needed polish. I think the colliders were too sticky, and should have been a bit more forgiving by being slippery. I should not be full-insta-stopped by brushing my tail against a house, I should bounce off with a jolt but keep 65% of my speed. I think forward and reverse should not be perfect mirrors that invite you to get stuck in an infinite trap, reserve should turn harder. I think reverse should not be so slow and could also be fun instead of un-fun. I think I guess I just wanted to be better so that I could seize more moments of the glorious highs that this game can offer, instead of mostly wallowing in the foulest moments most of the time.
Wonderful game. Just a few tweaks short of absolutely amazing.
Great job.

The audio cues a for how many pizzas you have left was perfect! The driving in the game was hard but really fun. Great job on the game.

Audio and loop is fine but I got stuck few times on corners and walls :-( But otherwise game was really fun :-)
Simple but fun! Loved that the delivery sfx got pitched down with each pizza I delivered, nice detail.
My dude, it took me SOOOO long to realize the pizza was an arrow for the menu!! 😱 Sound effects were super on point. Like others said, the sfx for how many pizzas are left is excellent. Car moved well although it was easy to get stuck. The only thing for me was that pizzas and houses were a tad too slow, so after a while I just got stuck waiting for pizzas to be made, besides that I had a lot of fun. Very nice entry!!! 🤩
I's pretty hard for me to get over how difficult the controls are in this game. I was getting caught on trees and buildings constantly, and the fact that you turn from the perspective of the car meant that I was always turning the wrong way. I also wish that there was a metric for success. It just feels like there's nothing to do but deliver pizzas forever. That being said, the audio and visuals in this are great, and I like the little town that it takes place in.

DAMN! but on some eurobeat and have a good time! I can't say it's the most unique idea but the execution is SOLID! honestly the only this I'd like to see here is just some more juice (particle effects when crashing, etc) the core loop is well made.

I really like the art style of your game, but I'm not very good at playing racing games, but it's still very interesting

I managed to beat this after some persistence. I was slightly short of having proper enjoyment of driving around, i would constantly feel the need to make small turning corrections that slowed me down. Perhaps some adjustment of speed and obstacle density would've made a difference for me. I also wished i had a better view of distant dropoff places, but at this point I'm just nitpicking. Good effort though, i had some fun with this!
