Wonderful, polished game giving me gameboy vibes! The sprites and animations are awesome. And the puzzles are really great. Really nice mechanics which you combined in interesting ways.
Plus I like the chiptune music and sound effects. Played it on a controller, worked like a charm.
Good job!
very enjoyable game, the music was incredible!

Good puzzle design. Last level was challenging but worth it!
Great puzzle design and wonderful pixel art! really had a lot of fun figuring out each screen.
Great puzzle design teaching the player new mechanics incrementally.
Wow.I love this aesthetic
Fun puzzles! enjoyed the playthrough, nice stylized choice of art too!

Amazing little game! I am really impressed with how many interesting game mechanics and puzzle elements you added and how they combine together to create fun challenges! I also like the simple pixelart graphics and the music. Overall great job!.
You could add a way to reset the game. I got stuck in this level and didn't know how to continue without reloading the page: Screenshot 2023-01-10 121328.png
(You can also get stuck in lvl 14 :D )

Polished, simple & fun. A good casual game to play during a coffee break at work! Wonderful style overall, you've done a good work here!

Cute little game based on puzzle ! The progression is really smooth by showing new mechanics at a good rythm !
I spent 15 or 20 minutes on this one, had a lot of fun! The puzzles are great! The art is beautiful, although a little hard to read sometimes. There were a few levels where I frustratingly missed a mushroom or an egg somewhere because the sprites blend into the hedges a little, so a little more contrast may be good. The monochrome look is beautiful though!
The controls feel a little difficult. The combination of the grid based movement and the speed sections resulted in some frustrating situations where I pressed the button a fraction too early or late and messed up the run. I must have been tensely pressing keys fairly hard, because my finger aches a little afterwards and I had to take a break. It would be good to find a way to improve the accessibility somehow.
Overall very fun, one of my favourites so far for sure.

Really nice game ! fun and the last level are harder, the graphic and sound is good also 😁
@Cambryx you can press Escape key to give up and you should able to press space to retry 😉
@theothersamp, the comments on the controls are exactly what my kids complained about. I should have implemented some form of input buffering. I also agree abut the trees/hedges; They were the first sprite I did and I changed the style slightly by the time I got to the witch (which is the 2nd version of it) and monsters.
@cambryx, you can press Escape to automatically fail. Unfortuately after submitting the game I realised that if you play full screen HTML pressing escape will remove full screen and mess things up.. :)

@amkingtrp Ah I see, I guess that was my problem. After escape just closed fullscreen all I tried was "R" which didn't help :D
@amkingtrp I don't know how well input buffering would work, because helping with early presses would worsen the problem for late presses. That's probably preferable though. Perhaps a visual change that emphasised the correct timing would be a good route? Some type of "pulse" that subtly shows the rhythm, maybe - a clear indication of exactly when it crosses grid square boundaries.
The other related thing that feels slightly off is that it can feel a little unresponsive, because an early press waits a few frames before a visual acknowledgement happens. Perhaps the animation/sprite could respond instantly, even if it's still a few frames before the movement responds.

Lovely entry! Nice mechanics, love the sounds effects. I gotta admit I spent a little to much time on the first screen waiting for something to happen.

I am a total sucker for this Final Fantasy 1 on Gameboy style, Not so much a puzzle game as it is better at making moments that feel satisfying given the limited feedback.
That all said, awesome scope, a lot of content, feels like it could have been a bit less content with some connective tissue for the range of best levels. GOOD JOB!

You did a great job with the sprites having good contrast without compromising the detail. I love the limited palette. The game also plays really nicely. great job!

Excellent puzzle game! Such a nice art style, and great music to boot. You've got a great mix of mechanics here like the Sarlaccs, the running enemies which create some fun close calls, and the arrow buttons to move the rocks around. I also found a few different creative ways to solve certain levels, which is always enjoyable. I also really like the growing brambles that urge you to solve certain levels faster, but thankfully aren't frustrating.
Very nice work on such a cool jam entry! score39.PNG

None of the puzzles was a head-scratcher but it was still a lot of fun with interesting mechanics. I'm not a fan of real-time grid-locked movement as it can be frustrating (e.g. in the level where you have to run to the right, and later go up to dodge a shyrock); I would either commit into the puzzle game territory with turn-based movement, or into more "action" territory with smooth movement. And next time, just bind restart to R:)
