I really liked the graphics and the atmosphere. I didn't like the fact that you could not use your mouse. Also you could add some kind of gameplay variety so it doesn't get boring after a while. But all in all a really good game!

Nice game! Good idea that fits the theme really well. Also nice pixelart graphics :) I really like it!
The calming atmosphere of this game is extremely cool. As @alexisgea already mentioned, a mouse controll would maybe be a bit better. Sometimes I found the score multipliers a bit hard to see and collect. But overall a great game as always ;)

This is a great game. It took me a while to get used to the controlls. Especially the wall jumping was not that easy for me. But I had a lot of fun playing this
It would be nice, if you took the time to judge our game ;)

Cool game but really hard! It took me multiple tries to get through the first level. But awesome graphics! I enjoyed playing it.

This was a great game with awesome graphics, a lot of humor and funny sounds. Even though the gameplay was really simple(which is normal for a game jam) it was a lot of fun to play this. As flukeshot already said I also ended up spamming space even though there was limited energy. But this didn't stop the game from being a lot of fun. Good Job, by far one of the best games so far!

Cool idea. I really liked these big chain reactions. The graphics(especially in the menu) were really cool. Good job for a first 3D game. The gameplay though was often pretty random and lacked a bit of variety, which took some fun away. Still a nice idea and solid execution!

@quoclon Thank you for the feedback! We will definitely try out your game!
@yves I'm glad you like our game! The tutorial was one of our main goals when creating the game. But sometimes it made everything a lot harder. It felt like fixing a bug in the tutorial caused at least one new bug in the main game and vice versa :D
@skullpixel Thanks for the feedback! For making the game we used Unity. The graphics were created using Adobe Illustrator. If you play the game fore some time, it will get extremely challenging with asteroids all over the place :)
**Thank you all for your nice feedback! We really appreciate it!**
@homineludens your population is not decreased when blocking rockets with your shield.
@add-an-a thanks for the review! I am glad that not only my feedback but also our game itself helped you learn something. That's what ludumdare is actually there for!
Nice game and really interesting concept! I have never played a game like this before and it was a lot of fun. The idea of having the player be the next level was pretty cool! I also liked the graphics a lot. The sounds could get some slight improvements and the lava sounded exactly like in minecraft in my opinion. Also the second last level was really hard compared to the other ones. Overall a really nice game I can recommend to everyone!
Since you said in your post that you would try out our games I will post a link here :)
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus Have fun playing!
Really nice game @yvez. I had a lot of fun playing it. The graphics and the music create a strong atmosphere. Good job, especially for a first ludum dare entry.

It is our second ludum dare entry. Have fun playing it :)
Nice game, was fun to play! Even though the asteroids were quite annoying at some points, they made the game more interesting.
Le petit prince was actually the first thing I thought of when seeing the theme anouncement :) I like the idea of removing baobabs as a game. The graphics were excellent and helped creating a cool mood. Even though you didn't create the sounds yourself, they still fitted very well. The gameplay lacked a bit of variety and it took some time to get used to the controlls and understand how your position relative to the tree affects its trajectory. After that its relatively easy. I wish there was some kind of score that showed you how many trees you removed. You could also change the font since its hard to read in my opinion. All in all a nice entry!
It would be really nice, if you tried out our own game and left some feedback :)
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Nice game! The music creates a really happy and positive atmosphere. The graphics fit perfectly. The gameplay could need some improvements: In my opinion it feels to random. Sometimes it's possible to get a really good score without pressing a key, while at other times you try your best and still keep failing after a short time because a meteor comes out of nowhere. The Userinterface was pretty cool in my opinion. All in all a cool little game about a little planet :)

cool graphics and audio, nice idea. Gameplay was a bit repetitive and too long in my opinion. In the beginning I didn't know what to do. Took me a while to understand that i have to go to the side to get under the surface. Nice game anyway!

It is really impressive how much you got done in this short amount of time! But for the next ludum dare I would recommend to focus on a simpler core gameplay and spend more time on balancing, making sure the controlls are really good, making it really fun and adding details without increasing the gameplay complexity. This way the game could turn out really great. Keep it up!

Very interesting experience! I had some fun playing this game, even though the gameplay was maybe a bit to simple and to easy for me. The graphics were good, the music absolutely excellent. It was so good, that it created an exceptional atmosphere. Even though it wasn't the most exciting game with a high replay value, it was still a really interesting concept and a cool experience. Good job.

Good Job! Mabe the best game I have played so far. Great sound, audio, graphics, mood and a lot of fun! Maybe you could add a healthbar and make some effects that make it more obvious that you have been hit.

Nice idea and concept. The graphics are cool and the design of the planets look quite similar to our own game (which was the reason I initially got interested in this game). Audio was also fitting. But there was a clear lack of variety when it comes to content, since I got the same 3 or 4 messages over and over again. Still a nice entry!
If you want to check out our own game, here is a link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus
Some feedback would be really appreciated!
Really nice game. The graphics are great and it has a cool atmosphere. I really liked this way of switching between levels/planets. As @spinaljack said, the double jump can be tricky. Maybe make jumping slower so you have more time in the air. Also it would be better, if the player moved with the moving platforms. All in all nice game!

Nice little game. It was quite a challenge. In the beginning i didn't really understand what to do. You could have maybe added a tutorial(I understand that this is not always possible in this short amount of time). The graphics were really cool. The sound was also fitting but the death sound was too loud in my opinion. This was a really nice concept even though I think I wouldn't play it again after finishing it once. Good Job!

This game is really challenging! Espacially the second level was way to hard in my opinion. But still it was a really interesting concept and fun to play. You could add a menu to select the levels and add an option to mute the sounds. After a few minutes they got kind of annoying. Overall a nice first ludumdare entry. Congratulations!
Nice graphics and audio! Really funny and crazy idea with a lot of humor. The mood was also good. I have to admit that in my opinion the gameplay did not have a lot of variety. Still a really nice entry!

nice little game! I liked the fact that a hit to the planet didn't only increase the chance of an asteroid hitting the core, but also increased the way the player has to travel. The beginning was always kind of boring since it takes some time for the first asteroids to appear, but as you collect more and more powerups it gets pretty fun. The user-interface was well done. Maybe the best thing was the music since it excellently fittet the game. Definitely a cool entry!

Nice game! I almost quit after I saw the bowl for the third time and thought well I won't spam this button like an idiot for this time. And then I realized that this wasn't an infinite loop. The end was really cool! Great Job, one of the best games so far.
Feel free to try our own game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/42-mikronikus It would be nice if you left some feedback!
Really interesting concept. I haven't played anything similar to this before. The graphics were extremely good! Mood and humor were also excellent. In the beginning I didn't really know what to do and I have to admit, that I personally don't think this game is a lot of fun. But in the other rating categories it is great. Good job!

Looks really cool. Unfortunatly there was no one around to play against when I tested it. Graphics and Audio was extremely good! Nice Job! If you also want to test our game, here is a link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/blackout-4
I really liked this game. The black and white graphics created a cool atmosphere. Once I somehow got stuck at the leather and couldn't move anymore. But other than that a really solid game :)
I will leave a link to our own game, so you can check it out as well: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/blackout-4
Excellent job! I have never seen such an impressive mood created in a ludum dare game! You can be proud. The graphics and the audio were incredible! Maybe gameplay itself could use some variation but other than that awesome.
If you also want to check out our game, here is a link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/blackout-4
Cool idea but a bit confusing in the beginning. It took me several tries to end a game without being executed!

Great game! Simple but with awesome graphics and music.
If you want to check out our game, here is a link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/39/blackout-4
Cool game!
As others have pointed out the spaceship is a bit hard to control. But this is also has the benefit of making the game a bigger challenge and therefore more fun. I really enjoyed the struggle of trying to reach the next platforms again and again before losing the ground I stand on.
Although i have to admit that it sometimes felt a bit unfair when you saw the next to platforms fall to the ground before you even left the platform you were standing on at that time.
The simple graphics were really good and fitted the game well. I also liked the thruster animation and the particle effect ( I love particle effects :P ).
I hope you had fun and keep making games! I would also be really happy if you took the time to try out our game and give some feedback :)
Wow, what a creative game! It was your amazing title that made me decide to play this game. Because I jumped right into playing it without reading your description it took me a while to understand what I head to do. When I did I was amazed :) The first time I saw an enemy fall from the sky because I shot at it I had to laugh out loud! I think the best things about your game are the creativity, humor and amazing pixelart. The game looks really simple and detailed at the same time. The hud elements like the healthbar looks as if it has some really cool 3D effect. The gameplay was very fun. I liked constantly switching from collecting bio matter to shooting at the aliens. The one thing I think you could improve is audio. After a while the sounds got a bit annoying. But overall I am really glad I found your game, because it is extremely cool! Good job! Of course feel free to check out our game if you want to :)
@bugninja and @fenerax thank you for your feedback!
@jannick-larsen you are completely right! Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to implement a well balanced upgrade system!
@dwam Thank you for your amazing and details and congratulations on your awesome score! And thanks for correcting our spelling mistakes :)
@01fe7e Thanks for playing our game.
@hawkie I am glad you liked our game. Since this is a Jam game we actually had 72 hours :) Also congratulations on your awesome score!
@masterkrepta I am glad you enjoyed aur game and the little eastereggs. Thanks for playing :)
@norb Thank you for playing our game! Creating music is always a big challenge for us :) We are glad you enjoyed playing the game and the level of difficulty. Thank you for the amazing feedback!
@jandourek We are happy that you liked our game and the little sci-fi references :) The sound in the online version worked on all devices we tested on, so maybe it was a problem on your end. Thanks for valuable the feedback!
@adroitconceptions Thank you for playing our game. We tried to show you that you killed enemies offscreen by playing an explosion sound as well as animating the score and multiplier increase. But you are totally right that it can get really chaotic and you can easily miss those hints. Thank you for your feedback!
@barrier and @bungus-productions Thank you for playing the game and your feedback!
@koltzow Thank you for playing our game. Balancing was indeed a big challenge for us. Though we think we did a fairly good job, I agree that enemies can feel OP from time to time. We are glad that you enjoyed playing our game and are grateful for your feedback!
Wow, this is amazing! It took me a moment to understand what I have to do, but when I did, I almost had to laugh out loud, because I liked the idea so much. The pixelart graphics you created are stunning. I once tried pixelart but found it really hard to create something that looks good. The goat sounds are funny and fit the game and its mood really well. The gameplay is quite hard because it seems to take more hits to kill the other goats than to kill oskar. It is a real challenge. I have to admit that after a while it gets a bit repetitive. What I really liked is that you can push enemies away with your sword. Overall a really good and fun game that fits the theme perfectly! Good job. Also feel free to check out our game if you want to :)
Wow, this was amazing! This is definately the best game I have played so far. I love the minimalistic graphics. It just looks so beautiful. Together with the relaxing background music and the simple sound effects It creates an amazing atmosphere. I loved the comments on the bottom of the screen. They fitted the game perfectly and created a kind of story that connected all the levels. What makes this game stand out from all the other games is how the levels are structured. They start really easy and get harder with every level. This lets you discover seamlessly all of the game mechanics on your own. This is so much more fun and engaging than having to read a long text description that explains you everything you can do in all details. The last level was a real challange and I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed when I realized there are no more levels to play. Good job. You created an amazing game and can be really proud of yourself. Of course feel free to try out our game if you want to ;)
Wow, what a cool game! After I first saw the screenshot I was a bit skeptical. But then I started playing and realized how much fun it was. It starts fairly easy but after a few levels it can get really difficult. In the beginning I sometimes steped in front of the minotaur so that charging towards me would lure him away from the altar. During the later levels I realized that this is not the best strategy because he becomes really fast ;) Still those moments of just escaping him by a few pixels were really intense and fun. The best score I could get was 33. I am not sure if it is a problem with my browser or something but unfortunately I didn't have any sound and music. I have to admit that the graphics are not the most detailed and don't look like a minotaur or an altar :) But after a while I got used to them and started to like the simplistic design that doesn't distract from the gameplay in any way. I also liked the huge variety of levels. Were they randomly generated? Because of the creative idea and all the fun I had, I am really happy that I found this game. Good job! Of course feel free to check out our game if you want to :)
@candlesan Thank you for your feedback! I am glad you enjoyed the game and liked seeing the donuts :)
WOW, what an amazing surprise. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical, when I decided to try out this game, because I wasn't too impressed with the screenshot. But it was so much fun. First I thought I would play one or two rounds and then move on to the next game. But after every round I wanted to play another round to increase my highscore. After at least 15 rounds I still didn't manage to get more than 800 points (:D) but I had a lot of fun trying to. I was also really impressed by the your writing, which fits the mood perfectly. Some background music would have been cool obviously but it didn't take away any of the fun. At the moment of writing this I haven't played the post compo version yet, to not influence my ratings but afterwards I definetely will. I am really impressed by how much you could include in the game (like the leaderboard and so on) in 48h while working alone. I worked together with a friend and we had 72h and still it got really really stressfull towards the end. We would happy, if you tried out our game and told us what you think about it :)
I have ben checking out your games since I played cardhoard for the first time (I still remember thinking "This is definitely ending up in the top five") :) As alwas a great game! This is one of those amazingly frustrating games where you always want to give it one more try. The graphics are simple and cool, the sound effects fitting but nothing special. The gameplay is incredibly fun and addicting! I am really impressed by how you create one amazing ludumdare game after another. Keep up the great work!
We would be really happy if you tried out our game and told us what you think about it :)
Cool idea! I really liked, that you tried a different take of the theme than most other games. I liked how you how you had to remember who still has a liver and who hasn't. I also liked the story you wrote for the description on this page. Even though the game could need some sound, and better graphics, it was still a fun and interesting experience.
We would be really happy if you tried out our game as well and told us what you think.
Really cool game. In the beginning the controls felt a bit weird. But after getting used to it, it was a lot of fun! After playing many rounds I started to really appreciate the fact that you developed multiple difficulty modes. This gave you a real feeling of progress and kept the game challenging. It was great feeling when finally the hell dificulty wasn't impossible anymore :) The music was cool and relaxed. Although I think it didn't fit the mood that well, especially when playing the hell level. The graphics are amazing. I have huge respect for everyone that can draw and animate such amazing pixelart. For me this has always been one of the most difficult art styles to create. It is really impressive, how much you could create in only 48h. I worked together with a friend while having 72h to complete our game. Still it got really stressfull towards the end :) Great Job meskaline, you can be proud of this game. We would be really happy if you tried out our game and told us what you think :)
Wow this was amazing. When I started playing, I was wondering if this has anything todo with the theme. The moment, when I realized that it was a game inside the game was an awesome surprise. When the first level with 4 candys in every color came, I first thought it was a bug or intended to be impossible. Finding out that you can still solve it by cleverly placing 4 in a row was really satisfyig. It was a really cool challenge that I didn't expect. The way you create a story that is even a bit thoughtprovoking with a match-3 game is really clever and impressive. I only read your description of Sweet-Squish on the ld-page after playing the game and think it's really creative and funny. I am glad you found the time to write this after developing a game and a game inside it in only 48h. I worked together with a friend and 72h but still it got really really stressfull towards the end :) Amazing Job Dvlv! We would be very happy if you tried out our game and told us what you think about it.
By far the best game I have played so far! I don't know where to start :) The pixel art is amazing. The epic moment of slow motion when killing an enemy is so incredibly satisfying. I might steal this idea for the next ludum dare :P The Music was great and and fitted the action gameplay perfectly. The upgrades gave you a feeling of becoming more and more powerfull over time. Especially the upgrades to your firerate were cool. You did an unbelievably great job balancing the upgrade effect, their prices and the strength of the enemies and waves. Sometimes the enemies got stuck in narrow corridors which made it easier to kill them. I don't think this was intended but I liked it because it made you feel even more powerful. Playing this game made me want to checkout your games from the last few ludumdare gamejams but it seems like this is your first time participating, which makes it even more impressive! We also created a top-down action shooter and would be really happy, if you tried it and told us what you think about it :)
This is definately the best looking and most humorous game I have rated so far! Good job!
I am really glad that I dont work in a devil-kindergarden. :)
The simple and minimalist artstyle is great! The music is amazing! The writing is hilarious!
There is not much more to say. It's just a really cool little game. I hope you had as much fun creating this game as we had with ours. We would be really happy if you also checked out our game :)
Wow what an amazing game!
This was the first game of this LD that I rated and it was a great start to my rating session. I always love rhythm games and this one was really good. The pirate music was just perfect. The art-style was really clever and well executed! The idea of letting your crew repeat after you was amazing! This adds so much to the "piratey" and adventerous feel of the game. I also liked all the small details like using bottles as a health bar, the funny speech bubbles or curtain-transitions. They make the game feel much more polished. Also the fact that you had the time to create a tutorial sets you apart from many other Ludumdare games. This saved me several minutes that are often necessary to find out how a game works (Thank you for that :) ).
The only thing that could be improved in my opinion is the difficulty curve. After a while it felt like it didn't get much harder and became a bit boring. It would maybe be better if the speed increased over time or if the enemies became more impressive.
I really enjoyed playing your game and would be happy if you could also check the game we created! :)
Wow! This is definitely the best game I played so far!
I like everything about it! The pixelart graphics are just amazing! I have tried creating pixel art multiple times and it never looked good. You have my huge respect!
The music is a masterpiece and fitted the game perfectly!
The gameplay was really fun and I enjoyed trying out the my many different abilities. They were all really creative and useful in diferrent situations. The checkpoints were really well placed in a way that was not impossible but always a challenge and never easy. Once I died literally a few pixels away from the checkpoint!

Thank you for this game! I hope you had as much fun creating it as we had with our game. I would be really happy, if you took the time to try it out and tell us what you think :)
Really cool game!
I liked the simple graphics and the audio a lot!
I am a big fan of 2D action games like this one. And your game was a real challenge. In the beginning I couldn't even survive the first room with enemies.
I liked the particle effects and small details. And having someone around that you have to take care of is a great idea for a rogue like!
I think it would be better to use some other button than space for restarting the game. For some reason the game didn't detect the space button but instead the browser scrolled to the bottom of the website when I pressed it. This meant that I had to reload the website every time I died.
But other that it was a great experience! I hope you had as much fun creating this game as we had with ours. I would be really happy if you also tried out our game and gave us some feedback :)
Wow, great job arinyl! When I saw the thumbnail of the game, it reminded me of the incredible artstyle of hyperlight drifter so I instantly had to click on it. And I was not disappointed! Your game looked truely beautiful! I have tried multiple times to create good looking pixelart but it never turns out the way I want, so I have huge respect for artists who create good looking pixelart magic. I really enjoyed playing the game. First I tried to throw away all the trash as soon as it appeared but after a while I started embracing the trash and began building my own little sculptures :)
ruinsofwaste.jpg
It was only after playing the game, that I read that this was not only your first gamejam, but your very first game. I am truely impressed! I hope you had as much fun as I always have during ludum dare and you will continue to participate in the future :) I would be really happy if you tried out our game as well!
Really cool game!
It reminded me of the classic online blobby volley game (that I have spent way too much time playing with my friends in the past :P ) but with much better pixelart graphics and relaxing music instead of annoying whistle sounds. The way the baby spins while flying through the air does not only look hilarious, but also adds a whole new level of intensity because it makes the bounces more unpredictable. I also love those small details like the ghosts appearing when the baby touches the floor.
This is a game you can be really proud of, especially since it's one of your first games! I hope you keep enjoying game development and participating in game jams! I would also be really happy, if you checked out our game and tell us what you think :)
Wow this game was full of surprises!
I didn't read the description and from looking at the screenshot I expected some kind of game where you control a player to reach an exit.
Then I realized this was just a fun little clicker/idle game (At least thats what I thought). While playing I realized there was a story playing out. And then I was surprised again by a boss battle. After finishing the game I wanted to rate it and then read in the comments that there was a second ending (yet another pleasant suprise). So I had to try it out as well (thanks for adding the options to replay just the boss battle)!
I am really impressed by what you managed to create in such a short time!
I had a lot of fun playing your game and would be happy if you could try out our game as well!
Really cool little game. I love the retro feel! The art and music fits this game very well.
The game had a nice difficulty curve created by the increase in speed as you came close to completing the level.
In my opinion the speed difference was maybe a bit to big. This made it feel like a large setback, when you hit something just before escaping.
After playing some rounds, the best time I could get was 2:16.
I had a lot of fun playing your game and would be happy if you could try out our game as well!
Really cool game! When I saw the screenshot of your game, I really loved the graphics and I knew I had to play it. It was a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed trying to keep track of what was needed where and thinking about what I should pick up. In my opinion it would be really cool if every order had some sort of timer so you had to prioritize some resources over others to complete the orders in time. Maybe you could also introduce urgent orders with shorter timers.
I played up to a score of 327, then it got a bit repetitve.
The graphics and the music were great. I also really appreciated that you created a tutorial. This made playing and rating your game a much more enjoyable experience!
I am really glad that I found your game and decided to try it out!
It would also be really cool if you also tried out our game :)
This is a really cool little game. I really liked the concept and had a lot of fun playing.
The artstyle is absolutely amazing and the music is awesome as well! I was very impressed by the amount of polishing in your game (menu animations, tutorial, ...).
I encountered a bug after the second level, where there were no more visible blocks but the level didn't end. After spamming the space button I realized that there were still some blocks left, that were outside of the cameras viewport.
By the way, it seems like you forgot to upload the web version to itch.io. I could only find a link to the windows download.
I had a lot of fun playing your game and would be happy if you could try out our game as well!
What a great game! This was by far the most innovative game I have played this ludum dare and maybe also the most fun one.
I really liked that the controls were explained to you but you had to find out how the core mechanics worked.
Maybe you could notify the player that he has found everything he needs. I somehow missed it and spent some time searching for rooms I had not yet visited until I finally realized that I already had all the items.
Also I accidentally pressed back to menu once and had to start all over again. Maybe there should be a dialog box to confirm this.
The graphics were absolutely amazing and the music was great. The jump sound got a bit annoying after a while. I really appreciated that you created a tutorial. This made playing and rating your game a much more enjoyable experience!
I am really glad that I found your game and decided to try it out!
It would also be really cool if you also tried out our game :)
Hey andriirinah, I really enjoyed playing your game! It was quite a challenge.
After several tries my highscore was still at only two completed rounds :D Guess I will have to practice a bit more after writing this review.
While your game mechanics were not very innovative, they were really well executed. I don't know if it was because of the sound effects or the particle explosions, but shooting somehow just felt really good. I also loved the idea of the guard you had to kill before leaving a platform. This forced you to constantly evaluate at which target (enemy or guard) you should fire at the moment. This gave the game some tactical depth.
At first I really liked the music but it became a bit repetitive after a while.
Overall a very cool and fun game - especially since this seems to be your first Ludum Dare entry. I hope you had fun participating!
It would also be really cool if you also tried out our game :P
Hey DaSpikeyBoss, I really enjoyed playing your game!
It is a cool spaceshooter with some interesting ideas that added a bit of tactical depth.
I liked that you were forced to constantly decide between shooting at enemies and shooting at the power sources. The shield at the back of your ship was a great addition.
This added a new factor to consider when choosing your targets and deciding which way to face. The fact that you were trapped in orbit also made you think about where you will be in a few seconds and where you should shoot from there.
My current highscore is 2970. Maybe I can mprove it after writing this review :)
Overall a very cool and fun game - especially since this seems to be your first Ludum Dare entry. I hope you had fun participating!
It would also be really cool if you also tried out our game :)
Very cool racing game with an interesting twist.
I really liked that you had to constantly chose between going fast to get a good highscore and going slow so you won't lose control.
It was fun how chaotic it could get when driving fast and messing up the timing just a little bit. Avoiding obstacles by just a few pixels while going full speed makes you feel like a pro (even if its purely because of luck in my case :P )
I played until level 14. Then I broke my car but for some reason the level didn't restart this time.
I couldn't beat your highscore in any level but I will try again later!
Playing your game was a lot of fun! It would be really cool if you tried it out our game as well and told us what you think.
Really cool little game!
It was really challenging. This is the kind of game where you can't stop and always have to play one more round to improve your highscore.
It is amazing how good this game looks with its really simple graphics and great effects (glow, particle systems, death animation, ...).
I also really liked the music and sound effects.
The concept remindet me a bit of our own game, where your actions are recorded as well and your past actions influence your current round. It would be really cool if you tried it out as well and told us what you think :)
Really cool game. It took some time getting used to the handling of the spaceprobe but then it was really fun to control.
I especially liked bouncing of the top and bottom. The music is great and the graphics are also very nice. The background images are just amazing!
Unfortunately I seem to be not very good at the game. When I reached 50/60bn light years, I always started hitting one asteroid after another :D
Overall I had a lot of fun playing!
Of the games I have rated so far, this is the best!
Really innovative idea, great level-design, very challenging puzzles, cool graphics, good looking animations, nice particle effects, great sound and awesome music!
It is very hard to come up with suggestions what you could improve. Maybe the UI could get some nicer graphics instead of blue boxes as buttons - I don't know :D
Amazing game, good job!
Very cool game. I liked the idea of being able to place your own platforms.
This created some interesting situations like building a "bridge" of platforms when trying to reach a heart or matter-circle thats very far away, or franticly placing some platforms to catch the player after missing a platform.
As others have pointed out, it would be cool, if you could see further ahead.
The artstyle is very simple. The music is good but a bit repetitve.
All in all I had a lot of fun playing this, good job! (especially considering you didn't like the theme and didn't have much time!)
Really cool platformer! I am very impressed by the amount of game mechanics you managed to implement in such a short time.
I like the way the mechanics are combined to create interesting challenges (like wind on top of moving platforms for example).
The graphics are very cool. In my opinion the distortion effect is cool but a bit too strong and therefore distracting.
The music was great and fit the game very well.
I had a lot of fun playing this.
Really cool game. I liked the idea of using only physics for your movement.
You really nailed the feeling of progression. I was about to give up, when I could finally afford the laser drill.
And then the same thing again with the laser. When got the laser it was such an amazing feeling. Destroying so many blocks at once is just so much fun!
The art-style is simple, but good looking. I really like the look of the UI-windows.
The biggest problem for me was the performance. At some times it felt like I had only 2-3 FPS which can make the game feel a bit slow and tedious.
But other than that it was really cool!
Very fun (and kind of addicting) game! On me it had a strong "come on, one more try!" effect :)
I like how you took a classic game and modified it slightly to create a very different experience with almost the same mechanics.
The graphics are very simple, but fit the game well.
Overall a great game!
PS: Tell your son the background music is amazing :)
Cool game! I managed to get to the boss fight but than died against him. After that I couldn't keep him alive until I reached him again. Because I had killed all monsters on the way there and couldn't refill my mana. Maybe it would be cool to respawn some monsters in cleared rooms after you die to prevent this from happening.
Cool game! I like the idea of having a puzzle game but with time pressure so you have to decide and act quickly! I think you could really build on this by adding more levels and so on. Good job!
Cool tower defense game. I was a bit surprised by the way the prices scaled. Maybe you shouldn't increase the prices of the splash tower when upgrading your single target tower and vice versa. Also the game could use some background music and maybe more detailed graphics. But the main gameplay seems solid and this has the potential to become a really fun little game.
Really cool game! I love how it looks and sounds. The pixelart graphics are really beautyful. I feel like it could need some balancing (I played the web version maybe you added some balancing tweaks after that). Once i got the club I felt pretty much invincible and didn't see a reason to use anything else. Also I didn't really understand what the torches did. Other than that really good job!
This my favourite game so far! It's hard to come up with something you could improve! It's a bit sad, that I missed some of the deaths funny comments because i was to concentrated on dodging attacks. But I guess this shows how hooked I was ;D
Cool game. I don't really know why but I am a big fan of the stickman graphics. I am a bit sad that there is no score in the end. Otherwise I could see myself spending quite some time on this game, trying to keep the dam standing. I really liked the speed upgrades. It was a lot of fun navigating from crack to crack faster and faster!
fun little game! Hopefully I can continue to avoid C++ Memory Management in my programming future :D
This is the coolest combat game-mechanic I have seen in a long time! I will probably try out something similar in my future games. It felt really good chaining together throws and dashes when you got into the flow! Sometimes retrieving the axe felt a little finicky. Maybe increase the pickup radius a bit or introduce some kind of summoning where you cal let the axe fly back to you (a bit like thors hammer in marvel) I am also a big fan of the pixel art animations you drew. They look great! One thing I would have wished for is a time freeze when things are explained to you. In the first room that is already the case. But when the red rooms were explained while I could see the clock ticking down it felt really frustrating.
Really cool game! Extremely simple idea but well executed. The mimimalistic graphics are beautiful the music amazing. The collection sound effect is a bit too loud in my opinion and gets a little repetitive. Maybe you could change randomly between some variations. It seems like it depends a lot on luck, since sometimes you can't really react fast enough so you can only hope that the next crystal appears closely to where you are heading. In one run I got really lucky and got to a score of 82 (which I am quite proud of :D) Overall great game!
Cool little game! I really like the pixelart graphics and the background music. The fact that apples also speed up the monster was a clever idea! One problem I encountered was that sometimes the monster would reach me before I had a chance to click on a rock/apple/bird. Maybe you could add some logic that the first rock can't be to late. As others have pointed out, it can be hard to click on the smaller objects when you are quite fast. Overall I had a lot of fun and kept playing until I had a highscore I was happy with (279). Good Job!
Funny game! I loved the amazing pixelart. I really appreciated the fact, that you added a good tutorial screen! It took me some time to find the cool kids which was the last task on my to do list. But in the end I managed to complete it :) One thing I didn't understand was, what digging into the trash piles did. I got some poop-coins but didn't know what I could use them for.
Amazing game! I love the voice acting (especially the accents), this adds a lot! The notebook was such a vital tool otherwise I would have forgotten everything all the time. The chaos and things breaking reminded me a bit of spacteam which is a game a really love :D The pixelart graphics were also amazing and the soundeffects really fitting. Great job overall :)
Wow by far the best entry I have played so far. This was the perfect balance of extremely fun, frustrating and short enough to give it just one more try again and again. I wanted to play this for 5 minutes but in the end I spend half an hour until I could finally beat it (small note: after it showed me the "you won screen" it started showing "try again at the same time layed over it).
The pixelart graphics are amazing, the music great and the gamemechanics really innovative, clever and with a lot more depth than I initially expected.
I had a lot of fun playing this! great job!
Amazing game! Awesome graphics great music and so many small animations and details. It just feels sooo polished. The gameplay was a lot of fun and reminded me a bit of my absolute favorite game factorio (especially the animation when you launched the rocket) :D One thing I realized is that I never really looked at the mini-cube-map in the corner but only on the currently active face and the indicator which side will be turned. But this didn't make it any less fun! :D Maybe when you can't afford to buy something you could color the missing resources in the price red to make it easier to see what you need more of. But this is the only idea I could come up with to improve the game. Great game overall!
Great game! I needed the tutorial to understand what to do but then it was a lot of fun. I loved the minimalist graphics and the relaxing music. I also liked how the music also had this 10s rhythm. My time in the end was 8:5 (no idea if this is good :D). At some point I realized that I had a lot of white nodes which I couldn't assign types because they were covered by other nodes. (I could only see them for a brief moment during the growing animation every 10 seconds).
cool cocept! Maybe add a bit more variety in recipies. I feel like the fast speed is a bit too fast and the slow speed good for the beginning but after that a bit too slow. Maybe you could just linearly ramp up the speed as the game progresses. I had a lot of fun in the beginning but after a score of 3000 it got a bit repetitive. But overall a cool little game.
Great game! I love the simple pixelart graphics and the music. The hammer smashing animation is very well drawn. The game was simple but still a lot of fun. One thing I found a bit frustrating was when the new target symbol appeared instantly after the 10s timer completed because in those cases I often missed it. Also I think sometimes the same symbol appered twice in a row and i wasn't sure if I had to hit it again. Overall I really enjoyed playing this!
Cool graphics and interesting idea with a lot of game mechanics. I found the controls a bit frustrating because often I got the timing wrong and missed the short time when telekinesis tool turned blue or the stickman started walking away while I was holding RMB. Also I am not sure if this is a bug but I didn't manage to make to start reproduction. After putting two fed humans in the cage, they just dropped down (without their fed status, because it disappeared as soon as I put them in the cage) and nothing else happened.
@vein you have to walk on top of the tomato seeds with your player (using WASD), then you can pick it up with right click. ( I guess we should have mentioned this in our tutorial :D )
@bartalomew do you know what the problem was with the tutorial. Did you get stuck somewhere with no option to progress?
Amazing little game! I am really impressed with how many interesting game mechanics and puzzle elements you added and how they combine together to create fun challenges! I also like the simple pixelart graphics and the music. Overall great job!.
You could add a way to reset the game. I got stuck in this level and didn't know how to continue without reloading the page: Screenshot 2023-01-10 121328.png
(You can also get stuck in lvl 14 :D )
@amkingtrp Ah I see, I guess that was my problem. After escape just closed fullscreen all I tried was "R" which didn't help :D
Verrrry cool game! It took me a while to figure out how to play it. Maybe some more instructions on where to click / what you can interact with would have been helpfull. After that I had a lot of fun! Unfortunately I couldn't select the final big ship for some reason so I missed the last battle. Also the battles felt a bit boring at the end since I just kept klicking on my cannon (don't know if there is a better strategy). The farming / upgrading part of the game was way more interesting and fun to me. Other than that not a lot to complain about, just a fun little experience that I really enjoyed! Grrrrrrreat job!
Very cool game! I like the simple pixelart graphics and the relaxing music. The voiceacting and jokes are hilarious and funny!
It took me a while to find out that I could scroll on the right side so I thought I could only ever choose between two people. After finding out I could scroll it got a bit easier and I could finaly get a positive performance score :D Also I didn't look at the chat in the beginning and when I realized that after a while, I had a lot of fun just reading through it. I love games with details like that! Overall it was a great experience playing your game!
Very cool game! Especially since this is your first game ever, great job! I enjoyed the graphics and the music. I really liked the moment when I realized I have become i little red lab mouse :D
One thing you could improve is how your colliders match your sprites. Sometimes I found it a bit hard to see where I could stand on and where I could pass through.
Overall a really cool little experience, you can be proud of yourselfes :)
@pedrohpf Wow, by 0.01s!! Good job! I have no idea how you guys manage to get such crazy good times :D (And there are still a few highscores left for you to beat I guess :P)
@pedrohpf Incredible! :D
Cool game! I really like the low poly aesthetics and the amount of detail you put in like stuff swimming in the water and so on. Driving the boat also felt really cool. When walking, the mouse sensitivity was a bit to high for me but still well playable. I am a huge fan of the voice acting and the way you teach the game while talking about the "M muscle" :D Unfortunately I could not figure out how to actually deliver the package. I tried dropping it in the circle, against the mailbox and against the door but nothing happened. Maybe I will come back later to try it again and get a place on the leaderboard.
I really like the character design and animation. As others have noted you have to little time to react to obstacles so I didn't get very far. You could try placing the character on the left side of the screen when moving to the right and vice versa. This would make playing easier and more fun.
Cool game! Reminds me a bit of plants vs zombies. I think there could be some more variation between the traps leading to more strategic decisions. During my playthrough I ended up placing them fairly randomly :D Also sometimes I wasn't able to place traps even though I thought it should be possible. I really enjoyed the fairly high difficulty :) All in all fun little game!
Amazing game! You managed to create a surprising amount of depth for such simple game mechanics resulting in fights that were much more interesting than I expected in the beginning. But by far my favourite part was when my wizzard started dancing to the win music! (I instantly had to interrupt my friend who was currently playing another game to show him the funny animation)! This was such a nice detail! I am a big fan of this jam entry :)
Amazing game! Really difficult but the kind of addictive game where you always have to give it just one more try :D I really liked how the general spawn points stayed the same but the spawns themselves were randomized, so you could improve with previous experience without there being a single optimal path that you just had to learn and follow :D I love the simple and very readable artstyle and the fun music! Great job!
Cool and slightly scary experience! The fact that you are so much smaller makes these devils appear even scarier! Before reading your text on mechanic insights I was struggling a bit and I also never thought about not throwing the angels directly at the devils. But in general the idea of spawning angels as your attack is a really cool game mechanic with a lot of potential. I think the game would greatly improve by adding some more features differentiating the rooms (like the mushroom chair) to make navigation easier. All in all a great little jam game!
Cool game! But as others have said, the minigame is a bit too difficult :D
Great little game! The audio was amazing! The gameplay was really fun and challenging. It took me untill my third run to understand what I had to do after being hit by a slime. After that I was finally able to beat the game :) Really cool entry!
Cool concept! I found it surprisingly tricky to quickly scan the items and realize which ones I need. This lead to the typical just one more round, I can do a lot better effect. But even after playing a few rounds, I still couldn’t get more than 5 collections. 10 seems far out of reach! Really cool and slightly addictive game!
Awesome game! Really fun and funny boss battle! It ended a bit abruptly. But I guess the combo multipliers are just awesomely overpowered. In the end it felt a bit like avoiding the attacks is not very important as long as I can get the combo multiplier up as far as possible when I get close to him.
Cool play on the snake concept! Maybe the cube should be a bit smaller so that the game becomes challenging earlier.
Really cool and relaxing game. A bit too slow paced for my taste. For the first fishing mechanic it took me a while to understand that I had to click on the white stars, maybe some tutorial texts would have been helpful.
Wow, so for your first game, you decided to actually make three games? :D Ambitious! I liked the concept. The graphics also look really cute. In the first game, the game crashes when I collect the star thing. The other two games worked though. The third game was really difficult, until I realized, that the spinning things didn’t seem to hurt me and I don’t need to avoid them. Not sure if this is a bug or intended :D I really liked the soft body physics in the third game also :D Fun short experience, good job, especially for a first game!
Cool game! Really enjoyed it, even though I think that I sometimes survived even if I should have died. It would be really cool, if you left some feed back for our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds), thanks!
Awesome game. It was really hard but I couldn't stop playing. Great job. If I think about what constructive feedback I could give you, nothing comes to my mind :) Congratulations! It would be really cool, if you left some feed back for our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds), thanks!
Well done @jcwelgemoed! Especially since this seems to be your first ludum dare entry, Congratulations! :) This is a really interesting and innovative concept and I enjoyed playing it.
I like how you combined three (even more than required :)) genres that seem to be completely incompetible. After a moment it took to figure out how everything works, it was really fun. I especially liked the audio. A small tutorial might have been nice. Also the last rooms dissapeared at the bottom of my screen for some reason. All in all a really good job!
We also mixed the genre card game into our game (in our case combined with tower defense). You can find it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds. We would love getting some feedback on it ;)
Well done CliffordSix! Especially since this seems to be your first ludum dare entry, Congratulations! :) This is a really interesting and innovative concept and I enjoyed playing it. I liked these intense moments, when I was getting damage from enemies I couldn't see while searching for a button that would save me. I think the game could have profited from a simple tutorial screen and a score counter. Also the graphics and sounds are kept very simple. Of course I understand that you have to limit your scope, when creating a game in such a short time. Good job! If you want you can also check out our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds). It is a mixture between a tower defense and a card game and we would love getting some feedback on it ;)
@Toulou WOW! Incredible!
At the beginning I was a bit sceptical because I usually find story heavy games a bit boring. But this game kept me hooked until the very end. It was so good that I instantly decided to play it a second time, so I could try out another character class. I can't believe how much content you could create in such a short time. I have a question: Was this game created with only html and javascript? If so, respect. I also love the Ascii graphics, especially the different face expressions of the character. I think some more color variation would have made it easier to differentiate between enemies, items and walls. Also some sound would have been cool but maybe this is hard to implement with html and javascript (I never used sound on websites,so I don't know anything about that).
It would be really cool if you could check out the game we created and leave some feedback :)
(You find it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds)
Awesome game! Especially the graphics are great! I really enjoyed playing it even though the mouse controll was sometimes a bit weird.
It would be really cool If you could check out our game as well! (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds)
Great game, I really love the art style. The controlls felt really cool but took some time to get used to :) The music fittet the game perfectly.
It would be really cool, if you left some feed back for our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds), thanks!
Really cool game! At the beginning it was a bit hard to understand but overall really nice! It would be really cool, if you left some feed back for our game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cartds), thanks!
Really cool game. I loved the projectiles. They lead to some super satisfying chain reactions that made me feel very powerful.
Really nice game! I love the artstyle and the music. The concept is super clever and I like creating big chain reactions. The pacing could be improved. The first round I did not realize that I have limited rotations and then was stuck with my towers pointing a certain way and I had to wait quite a while for the enemy to walk into my path. Otherwise really nice idea and a lot of potential here!
