The cutscenes are extremely charming, the premise is funny and silly. The gameplay itself felt nice if a bit difficult as the ghost is rather fast and large! I felt like my jump would sometimes not go off, as if there is no coyote time you'd expect in platformers. An overall really nice entry, thank you for sharing!
Intro art was very cute and expressive, the level’s art simple but nice. I got immediately caught by the ghost while trying to figure out the controls the first time :( I’m really not good at platform game, but I had fun running around discovering the level, which was really diverse for the short time of the jam. Thank you for the adventure!

Really lovely tileset, simple yet beautiful.
Very fun experience, trying to figure out which parts to collect without getting hit makes for quite the challenge. Beautifully done!
Love that opening cut scene! Really cool idea overall and I enjoyed the almost game show style mad dash of it all. Only issue is the time pressure + the need to find the right parts + the need to find the broom + the randomization meant it was a bit too difficult to complete. Great work overall!
The ghost is keeping all the fun( But still cute tho
A very well made game! I like the graphics a lot! Also, the sound design is great! If the gameplay can be more innovative, it can be better!

Art style and execution is impressive. It was hard to beat but it made me play till I did. Ghost was tricky but actually quite easy once you get used to it. Overall pretty nice game.

I like the music and the art is good but I feel it is very slow or the enemies take up too much of your time resulting in not having enough time. This game has good potential.
I liked the game, although I find it a bit difficult even though I've tried several times. From my point of view, avoiding the ghost is very hard and takes too much time, but otherwise, everything is great. Congratulations!
The first 2 attempts i was confused by the ghost by after that i got it right, i love its randomized and that the broom make you fly but slow so you can go on foot faster. Grea Job!

Very fun game. Tight graphics, good music, satisfying controls. Felt it was missing a tiny bit of clarity in what each of the parts was, but once I realized that each set was color coordinated and it seems the correct set is the only one that spawns in full it made a lot more sense.

Controls were nice and the difficulty seemed just right to me, right in the middle. The art styles very cute and the music really lent itself well to the frantic timepressure the game is going for, which is great. Awesome work :)
Had a really good time playing this. Platforming is tight and snappy and feels good, so does flying the broom. And it's short enough that it was fun to go through a few times as well. There's some really solid spritework here as well, big fan of how the cutscenes and the platforming looks. Music is a good as well, found myself bobbing my head along haha. Great job with this!
This was a little tricky at first, but once I figured out how much time was lost each time I bumped into something, I improved drastically :rofl: I managed to get a couple of decent matches but never got a perfect one. A couple of suggestions would be making it clearer how to defeat enemies (which I think was possible, at least for some) and gaining a little time back. In any event, a really fun entry with humor and a unique way to approach the summoning component. Good work!

This was really fun! I managed to finish it, but I never really got how I was supposed to know what the clues were.
Still, fantastic all around! Very pretty art, wonderful soundtrack. You all even managed to get in some cutscenes. Very fun, and I pretty much didn't put it down until I got a win. Well done!

Great game! Great amount of polish and the platforming / controls felt great. That ghost was super punishing haha but it made sweet victory well worth it. Music was also really catching.

Amazing game! Really difficult but the kind of addictive game where you always have to give it just one more try :D I really liked how the general spawn points stayed the same but the spawns themselves were randomized, so you could improve with previous experience without there being a single optimal path that you just had to learn and follow :D I love the simple and very readable artstyle and the fun music! Great job!

i wish there was an easy mode, i guess i'm just horrible at platforming but it took me forever to win. the clue made sense but after it would be great if there was any indicator of the clue while you were actually in the level. i think there's a ton to like here from the music to the art!
not sure if it's only me but hitting escape on the itch.io windows build freezes the game and i can't seem to get it to run again after. i hit it hoping i could skip the cutscene (i'm stubborn so i keep trying to beat the first level!) also noticed that the cutscene and music aren't actually tied together as leaving the tab keeps the music playing while not running the cutscene
Hell ye, now this is a character I can relate to, doing homework is lame af! if only I could summon demons irl to do it for me lol..
The pixelart is very nice and cute, the game looks great! I wish there were a bit more varied sound effects, it felt a bit lacking.
The controls were responsive and the character felt really nice to play! At first I wasn't very good at it, but I quickly got the hang of it, it's simple but fun! The only thing is that I wish there were more levels, but what's there is still good. I went for a second run just for the sake of building another demon.
With more content this could a fun arace-y game!

This is THE best game I have played this jam *hand down*!! The amount of polish and care is unbelievable! The graphics are SO cute, the music is infectious and captures the energy of the game perfectly! The bite-sized platforming is very well executed, the addition of the broom powerup is very clever, and collecting different monster fragments is super fun! I love how you can win by creating whatever monster you want, but you'll also get a better ending if you build the exact kind the game asked for! Extremely clever way to handle replayability on what is, in principle, a very short experience. Seriously, amazing work! If there's an entry more perfect than this one, I haven't seen it.

Got this game recommended by a friend, and wow it was really so enjoyable! The way I failed several times but still felt determined to try again - for me that's huge, because I am impatient and give up easily, especially in jam games (and I hate time limits) but I really wanted to win this! I feel like the important things here were: 1) the process was just really fun! 2) failures felt deserved, and they were not because I felt game f**ked me over in some way, but because of me not being good enough yet, not figuring out layout and some little quirks of gameplan yet.
I think I have only 2 complaints:
1) It was hard recognizing some parts for what they are. Many of them. That's why I just tried to basically collect everything I can on the way. Not sure if it's designed that way but I found that a bit confusing.
2) In the end I was not-pleasantly surprised with the fact I have to get to the door but at the same time secretly excited by the twist. However, when I got to the door I didn't realize right away I have to press Z to activate it! Thankfully it worked out in the end, but if I lost there because of that I would be pissed xD So maybe if you gave that info quickly along with "go back to the door" or maybe make it pop up when you get close to the door in the end - that would be a huge help!
So overall, wow I enjoyed your game a lot, thank you for this fun time! ^v^ Cute visuals, nice way to tell a story in drawings before and after main gameplay, gameplay itself super enjoyable, controls feel good, just chef's kiss :3
Very cute! I think the ghost was a little bit aggressive considering how brutal touching it is, but after a while I did get the hang of the strategy and even completed the game perfectly after getting hit by the ghost (I got a bit lucky), so maybe it's actually fine on second thought. :p I would suggest freezing the ghost while the character is frozen after grabbing a part though, because I got got by it a couple times when I wasn't able to move, and that felt a bit unfair, lol.
Music is great and very spooky-halloweeny. I liked the art a lot, the character was especially cute. It was occasionally hard to tell what each monster part was supposed to represent, but I appreciated the color-coding and the fact there was only one of each as a way of resolving that.
The platforming physics worked well, I liked the 'slippiness' of the broom -- hitting X in midair when falling or jumping transitioned into flying very smoothly, which was fun. Well done!
Wooow... one of the cutest entries in the entire jam!!! ^^ The cuteness of the graphics, audio and gameplay, perfectly fitting together is really, really amazing! This broom addition is unexpected and makes you feel powerful.. pretty cool!
Enjoyed the gameplay and all the polish (nicely done). I think you could put an additional 10 seconds.. just in case (I finished it having 1 second, literally XD). It can be a little bit punishing (especially since the ghost-hit takes quite a bit of your time left :P )
Super fun! Quite addicting. Looks and sounds great. Feels pretty good to play, just need a bit of coyote time. I think it might be better to just have the broom at the start or have all the pieces be possible to get without it (not sure if they are). I'd like a quick restart button as well since sometime you know you won't make it. The time limit is quite tight, especially if the ghost get you but I think it works and I was constantly thinking "just one more try" determined to beat it. I didn't get a perfect summon but I'm happy with my abomination.
Gosh I'm absolutely obsessed with these designs. The presentation is just wonderful!
The game was tough as nails though. I wish the ghost had just a little more chill, and I found purposeful collecting of certain parts very difficult based on the sprites especially if the ghost had got me (I ended up just going with what I happened to run into at a given time). A single hit can be so punishing. But the concept was super neat and I adore all the different weirdos you can make! Nice work, team.
