LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Cascade by Joe Cowman 2020-10-17T08:13:55Z

Very nice. There is a lot that needs work but it is a very good start. Having the same color join together is a really good gameplay element that makes you consider carefully where you drop your pieces. The levels were also really good.

It might be better if it stopped scrolling or at least slowed down when you were dragging a piece as that sometimes made it really hard to place a piece. That would also probably fix a few bugs related to the scrolling screen that either stop you from placing a piece or allow you to place a piece on top of another piece that is already there.

If you do some work polishing this game up it could turn out really nice. Good Job.

File 47: An Incident in the Exclusion Zone by juxipolo 2020-10-11T00:08:39Z

Very nice. The UI was nice and the storyline very detailed. To do all the ui and create a story like that in the time you had is pretty impressive. Some sound would have been nice, but it is a very good game anyway.

Good job.

LichLoop by Abregado 2020-10-06T10:28:38Z

Really fun game with great levels and art.

Ouroboros by Wendel Scardua 2020-10-09T08:01:47Z

Really nice game. I really liked how the music got faster as you did, that added a lot to the game. Cool graphics style. One thing I think could have made it better is having the game get harder when the remaining time goes down instead of getting harder the longer you play. If you get a good start though the game is entirely possible.

Nice Job :)

Over Unity - A puzzle game by nardandas 2020-10-07T08:17:01Z

Really great idea, cool graphics and awesome music. Great level design on the puzzles as well.

A better tutorial would be good because it can be rather confusing at the start. A level reset button would also be nice.

Other than that though it is a really good and enjoyable game.

Suit Loop by Greytyphoon 2020-10-11T02:20:31Z

Nice. The mechanics of the game are really good. Really nice mix of strategy and luck. I think a soundtrack could have added a lot to it. Its a really nice game anyway.

You should also make sure to play, rate, and give feedback on other peoples games so that they find and play your game.

Stagnatum by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2020-10-10T06:40:30Z

Absolutally astounding. Graphics and audio are an amazing combo. I loved how you could see it going round in a loop and see the spot where the forest was being changed.

One thing that would have been cool is adding a bigger fight towards the end. I was getting a little low on health in the middle but then suddenly there were tons of hearts and nothing to use them on.

Even so this is one of the best games I've seen in the jam. Very nice Job.

Debug Or Die by Balance686 2020-10-09T22:26:05Z

Very Nice. The level design is really good, I especially like the idea of comments stopping the blocks but not you. Music was really nice as well.

[PlayerName]'s nth loop by Matthewjd389 2020-10-08T05:55:48Z

Very nice graphics and really smooth controls. The idea of collecting new abilities is really cool as well. One thing that would be nice is if it was a bit more obvious what killed you.

Layers of time by Kaldrin 2020-10-18T05:54:42Z

Very Very Nice. This has got to be one of the best games in the jam. Its almost certainly the most polished game I have seen. The graphics are really nice, and the level design is great.

A couple things that I think would be a good addition are a pause button and a way to reset just the layer you are on instead of having to clear the whole loop sequence. Sometimes I was doing really well and then slipped up somewhere and had to restart the whole level.

Regardless this is one of my favorite games that I have seen yet. Good Job.

Pi's Great Escape by Lone_Wolf 2020-10-09T22:38:29Z

Cool game. The music was very nice. It got a bit confusing being able to both walk and control movement by changing the ground slope. I think the loop controls might have been a bit to sensitive.

Other than that, nice job.

LööpBöund by essarrgee 2020-10-11T00:18:48Z

It's sad that its uncomplete as what is there has a lot of potential. The graphics are really nice. Make sure to finish this. Good Job

Loop Lab by LeGoLaZ 2020-10-12T05:47:28Z

Very cool. I liked the low poly artstyle and the level design. The achievements was also a really cool feature. Nice Job.

Unloop by Sebastian Caron 2020-10-08T06:18:34Z

Very nice. The simplistic graphics fit really well and the music was great. The levels though simple are really well done. Some more sound effects would be appreciated. Overall though really nice game.

It would be really nice if you could check out my game.

Right Side Up by TheJonu 2020-10-11T10:07:22Z

Very nice. Really enjoyed playing this game. The different weapons are really cool. The idea of throwing bombs to move a box is really great.

Very very nice job.

Curse of the Time Stone by SpaceDinosaur12 2020-10-19T03:39:13Z

Very Nice. The level design is really good. The graphics and music are also really good. The portal mechanic was done really nicely.

The menu could be improved and the time speed up should probably speed it up more.

Other than that it is a really nice game. Good Job :)

Orbit by DaSpikeyBoss 2020-10-18T11:53:54Z

@flying-dog-fish Thanks for you feedback. Your suggestion of mouse firing controls is a good one.

@barvaz I really like the idea of adding more mechanics as you progress. Thanks for playing.

Looped by NesiAwesomeness 2020-10-09T22:46:45Z

Very Nice. Simple but cool graphics. The slow down was a bit too slow and because of that it would have been nice if there was a way to release the slow down without releasing the ball. Maybe that was an intended gameplay element.

Regardless it is a very nice game.

12-to-6 Shift by BGSulz 2020-10-09T08:15:35Z

Very Nice. The music was awesome, and the storyline was great. The graphics were really nice too. Instructions could have been a bit clearer but overall, a really nice job.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Safe Cave by Papaver 2021-04-27T12:26:01Z

Really Fun. I loved how the alien beam takes changes this from being just another platformer to something new. It adds a really fun and often challenging element. Great Job! :D

Momo Hides His Box by xDGameStudios 2021-05-03T12:15:36Z

Very Nice. Being able to push the box away from walls adds a really interesting twist to the puzzles as well as the fact that you have to hide in it as well. The audio was really good and fit the game well. Like the others have said it would be very nice if there was a way to only redo the level rather than have to go through the entire game.

Really nicely done!

Deeper-Geddon by heidelbert 2021-04-27T10:02:33Z

Really well done. I loved the art and the sound design was good as well. It was a bit hard to work out what to at first but I eventually got it.

Paperload - Deep Bass Edition by frokes 2021-04-28T09:55:43Z

Really Fun! I loved the flying car. The graphics a really good as well, great job on those. Actually great job overall!!

Sinking Sub by DaSpikeyBoss 2021-04-27T09:32:50Z

@massillon-magic Glad you liked it! You aren't supposed to lose your sub like that but I forgot to make sure it stayed on the screen.

Sinking Sub by DaSpikeyBoss 2021-04-27T11:32:57Z

@ty You can close the upgrades menu with the button beside it or by pressing E. There are hotkeys linked to the numbers so that you never have to open the menu at all. @nice-gear-games More variety of fish are something I wanted to add but didn't have time for. Maybe I will add this sometime in the future. The same goes for all the upgrades and purchases @head-tilt-games suggested. Thanks for playing and your feedback :D

Sinking Sub by DaSpikeyBoss 2021-05-06T11:30:10Z

@alessandra Glad you liked it. A slow down upgrade is definately something I would add in the future. Your other suggestions are great as well. @vixenmink E actually opens and closes the upgrade the panel and all the upgrades are linked the number keys. A lot of people seem to have missed this so next time I will put the instructions on the itch page as well as in game.

Thanks for playing.

EarthDrop by Massillon Magic 2021-04-27T09:27:04Z

Really fun! Everytime I failed I had to try just one more time until I finally completed. The music was really nice as well. Good Job!

Nice Fall by Nice Gear Games 2021-04-27T12:48:42Z

HaHa! I loved it. Really Fun. I was neck and neck with the computer the whole way down. Great Job!!

Trash Squid by Alessandra 2021-05-06T12:00:36Z

I loved racing my squid around the ocean. I basically would just spam space going so fast it was hard to pick up the trash. A score of some sort would be nice. Overall I really liked it!

The Loreseeker by Sir Floppa 2021-05-03T12:30:45Z

Really well done. The lighting mechanic was a really nice idea. The background music was really nice and fit in really really well with the game. The lighting sound got old kind of fast though. I was just dissappointed when it ended so fast, but that's not a bad thing because it's a game jam and it means that it has lots of potential for more additions in the future. Great Job!!

Deep Library by Mogaiskii 2021-04-27T09:50:02Z

Cool game. Not sure if I was meant to fighting or sneaking. When I was doing direct combat I kept losing but then I found I could hide behind walls and still hit the enemies. Some sound effects would be nice.

LD49 — Unstable

Captain Peggles by Sheepolution 2021-10-14T05:21:51Z

Wow! This game is so good! The artwork is amazing the music is great and the game is fun to play. The idea of having to press different key combinations to walk and keep your balance is really good. All the different characters and the conversations was really well done. The two main things that I think should be changed is the addition of a health bar to see how close you are to sinking and making some of the interactions shorter. With that last one I am specifically thinking of when I accidentally press space in front of the rope ladder and have to just stare down at the enemy boat while I wait for the dialog to finish.

Even without those changes this game is really really good. This is the best game I have seen in the jam so far. Really great job!

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-16T05:13:40Z

This game is really really good! It is so well polished. The graphics are great, the audio is good and the game fits the theme really well. The one thing that I think could have been better is if there was more time for each minigame or at least more time before each one to work out what I needed to do. Even with that this game is so good and it is impressive that you made so many minigames in just 72 hours.

Amazing Job!

Vintage SPACE Restaurant with AI by DGSpitzer 2021-10-16T05:52:07Z

Wow this game is actually amazing! I love the graphics style and the audio is amazing. The game is so well polished and balanced. The levels are also done really well. My one nitpick is that quite often I had a bit of difficulty seeing where the broken waiters were among all the chaos. It's a really minor thing but the fact that it's so minor just shows that there wasn't anything big wrong with game.

This actually is a really amazing game. One of the best ones that I've played this jam.

Cesium Factory by Flightless 2021-10-16T10:08:23Z

Cool Idea. The crane moving by itself was really annoying and made it a lot harder. I also think that a countdown to the flood would have been a great addition.

Nice job anyway.

Unstable Chemistry by Laurari 2021-10-09T08:41:56Z

Very Nice! It took me a while to work out how to play, because I didn't realize there was a second page to the instructions. I really should have paid more attention. Once I worked out how to play I got a score of 665. It's a fun game and I really like the idea of mixing colors.

One of the biggest issues I had was that I kept forgetting what I needed to mix to get the right solutions. I don't really have any ideas about how to fix that but it should somehow be easier to remember.

I also think it would be really cool to have different difficulties which could easily be just based on the belt speed. Maybe in a post-jam version?

Overall very good job!

Mars Colony Alpha by Falzock 2021-10-16T04:58:02Z

Nice! This is a very interesting game. It took me a bit to work out what to do but I guess that is part of the "weren't a hundred percent honest in your resumee". I think it should have gotten harder faster because I barely had any trouble as long as I made sure the reactor didn't go into red. I think you probably should do some balancing of the different options if you do a post jam version because the main thing to watch is just the reactor.

Regardless, this is still a really good game even without changing that. Good Job!

Unidentified Stacking Object by Arttu Halonen 2021-10-05T06:02:28Z

Wow! Really amazing game! Great graphics, good sound design and really good and fun physics. This game is so fun to play, I just had to keep playing again and again. The LD49 flag in the background is a really nice touch.

Very good job!

Bob's Underworld by chesschaser 2021-10-05T09:58:01Z

Nice game. I also noticed the bug where there is no play again button sometimes. Sometimes I think it didn't let me double jump. I really liked the audio though and it was quite addicting just trying to get a better score than last time. I also think that the platforms should have started closer to the player to make it easier to get started, especially on the first time playing.

Good Job

Elephants Never Tumble by zappablamma 2021-10-06T02:37:38Z

Very Nice! Stacking objects is one of the more obvious takes on the them but you do it really well with the hilarious idea of stacking things on an elephant on a tightrope  At first I forgot that you could connect items but once I worked it out it was really good. I love how you did so may different types of items like the balloon that aren't just static items.

The biggest issue I noticed was that often when I tried to connect objects my browser sent me to another tab (maybe it's just my browser that's weird though)

Overall a really great job!

Unstable Core by Fluorescent 2021-10-09T21:41:19Z

This game has huge potential! You don't even really need to change graphics that much. A bit more distinction between what you can walk through and what you can't and the map would look great just like that. I think it should also be a bit more difficult because I managed to keep my heat levels rather low and never saw any fires or enemies. Also the spaceship wouldn't load with energy so I couldn't actually finish the game. It was fun nonetheless and I think it would be a lot more fun if it was harder.

Great Job!
