The game doesn't detect the RT / LT inputs :/
Super fun and punchy, love it ! It trained my clicking skills xD
I really enjoyed playing it. The feeling of moving in zero G is nailed, I loved how ouur character moves, how the objects react when we collide, and the overall sound design really brings it to life, I especially liked the slight depth of field and global lighting mood, it looks very good, great ambiance.
However I can't quite pinpoint where the theme is in this game, but I didn't lost, I managed to save the ship, so maybe that's why.
Also I find it weird to use CTRL to go down, I'd have use shift, much closer, maybe it's just because I'm more used to it in Minecraft to go down in creative mode, also I never used shift in you game.
Overall, great sound design, great mood and lighting, very decent graphics for a jam, super good controls (though when you turn on gravity, they're just correct there I think), ok humor, nice innovation for the 0 G, I had fun, but the theme isn't there for me ^^;
You pretty much synched the gameplay loop with your narrative loop, with the reward being for both the ennemies and the player, it is for sure veyr interesting ! I liked the controls though it could be fast paced and juicy, the animations transitions also were very rough. The graphic style is good, loved the perspective and the global mood, and your presentation page on itch.io is neat as it should! I had a good time, played it 2 times, made it to 9 loops, it's really rewarding to be granted a bonus at the end of each ^^ Also, online leaderbaord, very good job, I can only salute those who make this type of thing.
Very good entry, good gameplay, good audio, mood, and graphics!
Holly molly that's top notch entry right here! I really enjoyed it a lot, I even replayed it to try to beat it on first run (I failed), I think it has quite the replay value! The graphics are incredible for a game jam, you know what you're doing, clearly, and I love how juicy it is, very pleasant to play, great audio and visual effects, signs and feedbacks. The loop theme interpretation is not the most original but it's really well executed and the mechanics go very well with it, plus it's super quick so I don't have any time to get bored !
You have my big congrat's, this is a really good really polished game!
Congrats for this entry it's really cool! It works well, no bugs, gameplay responds well, really neat, and it looks good! I liked the idea of being helped by a replay of yourself, you executed it very well, and actually my team and me had a similar idea but we executed it a completely different way! I enjoyed playing it, and the ending was cool! Nicely adjusted levels and good use of the mechanic, nice difficulty growth, very well done :)
I liked it, it's pretty fun, I like how the circles stick to you making your shape bigger, nice idea! Also it's super neat and without bugs or any issue, congrats! Having 3 different graphic and audio themes is a big achievement for a game jam, same goes for 3 differnet game modes :o I'm impressed
Graphics are neat and work very well! Same for audio, controls respond correctly, you can be proud!
However I found it a little limited in the fun we can have, just collecting circles until the time runs out is not super fun, the 2 other modes are a little better I think ^^
The fact the cirle rotates is a good idea too
I didn't quite find the loop theme in it though, except from the graphic part, the game design is not very "stuck in loop" -ish, sorry :/
I really loved the graphics, the mood is so beautiful, I love the street lights are beautiful, the night ambiance is cute, everything is so neat, even the map, really cool and nice fun twist to make the characters monsters! The audio is also on point, simple but does work well, nice job! I enjoyed how chill it was, but maybe there was a little too much waiting even if the characters were speaking.
However I did not understand the gameplay, it was really confusing, the stops weren't clear on the map which one was named which one, it's not very useful that the choice is over the map so I can't see the map while deciding, and only one choice per day is maybe not enough. I played multiple times to try all choices, it had no impact, only the precinct on the third day was where the murderer was, I found it a little sad only the third day was engaging with actual info on the murderer that were usable.
The concept is interesting though and original, nice job! I'd love to have just this aesthetic of animation looping on a screen in buses just because it's cute and chill at night :)
That was fun ! The mechanic is a little strange but you can master it quite easily! It just lacks more obvious feedback on where it has been grapped, is it grapped to something currently, is it too far to grap, etc...
You tried hard to make a city looking level, good job! The graphics have many issues of course but for a jam that's impressive!
Restarting the level and exploring a new area of the level design each time is an interesting idea, could have done something better with the theme but it's nice it works even if it can feel a little repetitive ^^
The audio is super nice too, well done, and the ragdolls of the enemies are veyr fun when we kill them xD
Congrats this is a very nice entry!
I'm impressed how polished your games always are, so neat and juicy, great shader work, no errors or misplaced texture, great, really. I love this one, and it's long and hard, many levels, not often for a jam game, congrats! You really nailed an original take on the loop concept, the enemies and the level are stuck in a loop, brilliant! It looks super good, feels good to play, has great audio that fits it perfectly, just stop being so good!
It was pretty fun, not my type of game but I like how it's a simple idea that works. The animations aren't crazy but overall it looks nice, responds well, no bugs, but the collisions and the overall movements feel dry, it lacks juice in my opinion.
Special mention to the online leader board, perfectly fits your game and the fact many persons for the Ludum Dare will play it, congrats, I have no clue how to make that!
The way the theme is integrated is ok, not crazy game design neither but it adds a nice touch to the platforms we have to stay on , you get the stars on this one ah ah
Really great execution ! Took me a moment to figure out how to worked though, but I like ! Very nice graphics and the voice acting is there, decent, but there. It's quite polished, works well, and it's fun to see the fingers getting off the hand and giggling on the table!
However the "Stuck in a loop" interpretation is very light, it's just the name of the object you throw, loops, I personally don't find this crazy, but I guess it's there.
Overall great production, you can be proud ^^
Nice oldschool looking 3D game! I found the animations and how they fit with the environment pretty surprisingly good for a jam, even if it's of course a simple character!
However, the controls, are really, really messy, I can't quite pin point what's going on but for sure the jump has a lot of issues with slopes and moving objects collisions.
You're right, it's better not to touch the camera, works well, but it's awful when I try to move it myself xD
I like how the level is shapes in circle, pretty nice idea but in the end it's just the same level infinitely, not saying it's not a loop, but it's not that clever of a use of it ^^
I felt like the death barrier was speeding up when I was going ways faster than it, is that right ? Just curious !
The game looks pretty nice though, you can be proud, the audio works, it's a nice little game I had some fun with ^^ Congrats for this entry!
@m-dam You're welcome sorry for giving harsh feedbacks on controls and such while I know you're aware of them and just lacked time!
This is quite incredible, the games looks finished, what an amazing job you did there :o Even if it all felt too luck based (I lost my 2 runs...), I loved it, the board game concept, how polished it was, the animations, the art, the audio, the lore with cats and rats, and the combat system is so cool and innovative! You guys know how to make games that's for sure, you have my congratulations!
Really cool little game, I love how you interpreted the theme in a rail loop you have to build to deliver resources and stuff, really clever and addictive! Too bad there aren't levels with an objective, but it's still fun to play around with ^^
I love the mood of the game with the little music and graphics, works super well, congrats!
Oh and I broke the game by adding too many wagons Screenshot_1.png
Very interesting take on the theme, I liked it! I'd say it works for a little game but the circling lacks juice! You got nice audio even if the zombie sound get repetitive, and the game looks decent! Congrats for this entry ^^
@javasaurus You're welcome! What I mean by the juice is how the game feels to play, in terms of feedbacks and stuff happening on screen for the player's actions, look it up on internet you'll find tons of information, "juiciness" ^^ (But maybe you already know it and are just confused by my comment) But it's just me being nitpicky, it's just a detail ^^
For a first game with Unity you did pretty well and are courageous! Effort has been put on the animations and I didn't notice any bugs whatsoever, you cna be proud !
Now the critics x') on't take them too harshly, I know it's your first game jam and stuff, don't worry, it's only for you to see where you could improve (And chances are you already know half of them) The game doesn't look good at all, which is normal you know, but still, sorry, even more sorry because you animated the character decently. The controls are very rigid, not very pleasant to play, you could have made him jump higher, fall faster, not stay stuck againsts walls, etc... The concept in itself is just punishment for the player, it's a basic idea of die an retry without game design depth behind, I found it pretty frustrating, but I guess it's a loop in some way and you managed to do exaclty what you said you wanted to do, so it's a success ahah.
Anyway, congrats for this entry!
I want to give my congratulations, this game lacks some gameplay elements to make it really enjoyable but it's not far off from that. The art is amazing, creating such detailed good tracks must have needed a great talent and great tools, you can be proud it's a pleasure for the eyes! Same goes for the programming involved in the reverse gravity racing that works without bugs and really the sensations are here, moving in these races feels good and can even get a player dizzy by making loops and losing control!
I would have liked buttons to accelerate and slow down though, I don't know if it's on purpose that you didn't put them but that'd only be for gamefeel that would be great.
Great audio too, really works well, I get huge wipeout / F-zero vibes but with your original ways and fitting really well the loop theme, the loop is on the shape of the track, the track itself and the stuck in the endless accelerating in it with ghosts of you you should not touch thing, well done!
Please improve it and make it a full game
This is really incredible, one of the best games I've played so far in this jam. First, it's all so neat and without any bugs, already shipable, you're so talented, everything is good, audio, animations, art, gameplay that feels very good and works super well.
The concept is great, it actually remind me of the concept we used for our entry with ghosts of your past self but with this timeline and the time reverse mechanic and all it's really different and great, and a little mind blowing when I try to solve puzzles wit it I'll admit x)
The portal inspiration is obvious but who doesn't get inspired by portal? I loved the art of the game, and the animation react super well and nicely with the movements of the character.
Loved the meta AI speaking, and how the game loops on itself and you have to play with that too to fin the endings (Or I suppose you have to, couldn't find more than one sadly :c) Perfect entry I'd say, really, congrats.
Came for the boobies, stayed for the boobies AND the gameplay.
Thank you very much for your feedbacks! For those who would want to play a enhanced version, we fixed some slight bugs and added audio and FX on the new version on itch.io!
@snailrhymer Thank you for playing it ! Oh that is a weird bug, did you try to restart the game ? I think it's because you didn't pass on the level end block, always make sure you activated the checkered block at the ned of each level.
@dhavavamba Thank you very much !
@azagaya If you want more audio and fx you can play the post jam version also on the itch.io page ^^ We basically just added that and corrected typos. Thank you for playing it!
@nectanebo Thank you very much for playing it and your valuable feedback ! The keyboard controls were fixed in the post jam fix build, it's because we are french and use ZQSD keyboards x)
@eden-shazar Thank you very much for playing it and for your valuable feedback! Yup that's fixed in this version x) Oh really it's been done quite a lot ? I don't recall many games using this, we tryied to make something original no one would do for the jam, but if you say so. Oh really you found it clunky ? Did you understand how to throw the block up if you aim up with the stick / W ? This level isn't supposed to be hard but maybe that's just our developer point of view.
Oh and the effects on the borders of the screen is not volunteer it's because of a post process we use but oh well it's not a issue so we left it.
Thank you for playing it !
@eden-shazar No you're right, with a controller joystick this mechanic is obvious but I didn't think of the keyboard player who wouldn't have much reason to try to use W at this moment, I guess we'll just add a sign for the aim commands !
@fax Thank you for playing it ! :D
@dak001 Thank you very much!
@javasaurus Thank you very much for playnig our game and for the feedback, it was fun to watch you play it! We are very proud of our entry and are glad you had fun playing it! Yeah sadly the inputs of the ghosts are not always 100% exactly the same as yours for some reason, but we'll work on it! We built a systemic system with these ghosts and elements so you can find multiple solutions to puzzles, and we are glad it works!
@mikoziq Thank you very much for playing it! We were a little sad to see we were not the only ones to think about our concept, though we are quite proud of how neatly we managed to execute it, with the physics and controls! I am glad to see you could play it without any issue! And we are working on these ;) Thanks!
@doctorhummer Thank you for playing it!
Thank you very much @aflatthrasher ! Glad to hear you enjoyed it! And yeah we will try to make it as ergonomic as possible for keyboard but we can't help we designed it for a gamepad ^^;
@blue05 Thank you very much for playing it! Glad to hear our puzzle game was enjoyable even for people like you! And we are proud of how neat our graphics and how funny our animations are ^^
@elysiagriffin Thank you again for testing our game, it was a pleasure to watch someone play it live as much as it was insctructive on how to improve it!
@botskills101 Thanks a lot for playing it, we're glad you like it! And that's because the controls are WASD not ZQSD, you can go to the left with A, we hesitated but in the end more people were playing WASD so we decided to make them like this ^^ We will add a feature to change the inputs in the game in the future.
@rushikesh-charapale Thank you very much!
@honest-dan Thank you very much again for playing it, it was a pleasure to see you test it on stream! We added the grace period and added more indications in this level so it's less confusing x) We're glad you liked it, thank you!
@harry-alissavakis Thank you very much for playing it! We had fun with the animations and the physic xD
@blue-pin-studio Thank you for playing it, glad you liked it !
@hybitous Thank you very much for playing our game! We're glad you liked it! And yeah this level lacks affordance and is a little difficult, we'll improve it in a new build!
@m-dam Thanks a lot <3 We're secretly working on this eheh
@gamescodedogs We didn't even play braid, I don't know what kind of vibe it has xD But you're welcome, thank you for playing it, glad you liked it!
@huntrox Thank you for playing it! And for enjoying it :D
@yhy-games Thank you for playing it!
@daspikeyboss Thank you very very much for playing it! We feel really flattered <3
And I'll agree with you 100% on your suggestions, will do that!
@satolas Wow thank you very for your very long and kind feedback <3 Plastic SCM ? I'll look it up, thanks a lot for sharing it!
Yeah we love our character too eheh, and it was in our objective for this jam to have a polished game! The physics are 3D, ways more simple to implement and tweak, we had some issues with it but I'mn really proud of how clean our code was in the end and how easy it was to modify it for the physics to respond correctly!
Oh yeah I'm not 100% sure neither about this you're right but I think an option to at least finish early the current loop would be a good addition ^^
Yeah for the reset responsiveness we'll probably add a very quick rewind effect or such so it's more juicy but it works well like htat and I'm glad you liked it ^^
Ah that is actually a nice suggestion, we will think about it, for the loop to start only if the player moves!
And we plan for other game elements definitely, it's so easy to implement with our code, we are hyped to create more levels and make it a full game!
And about the levle editor, it was more for the flex for the jam, we will one for sure but we will rewrite it entirely ^^ But when it will be in the game there will be for sure a way to browse and play people's levels! Probably a steam workshop or so ^^
We are currently working on other projects so this one will be on the side for now but we really want to continue to develop it!
Thanks a lot <3 Will try your game for sure!
@emk4 Thank you very much!
Ah yeah the texture wrapping is a slight issue on the edges of the screen right ? Fixed in upcoming version ^^ We will add an option to end the current loop early yeah, that's a nice idea! Ah yeah the cube, we have yet some adjustments to make to throw it, we'll keep in mind your suggestions!
I love the concept, minimalistic, works well, almost no bugs, interesting take on the theme, with power-ups and stuff and the fact we can move the loop left and right, the audio is very decent, you can be proud! I'd just say, uh, make a better page for your game, it really doesn't sell it like that. Also, I didn't like the controls, really hard for me to use the left / right movements so I just didn't. And I made it to 80 ! Screenshot_4.png
This is very interesting to have live multiplayer like this in a game jam, congrats, too bad no one was online when I played it xD However it was painful to play for me, for some reason there was like a one second delay for each action I executed, not very pleasant, I tried turning on material acceleration but it didn't change much, I don't know if the issue is from my end or not :/
Congrats anyways, the crafting system works well, and globally the mood is there, you can be proud this is a big work!
It has a shoot'em up vibe but not really! Really smart design, only one button to play, yet the gamefeel with the sounds and the simple but neat graphics work really well!
I'd have appreciated if it got harder with time, this type of game can be pretty endless, I got to 300 x')
Smart interpretation of the theme, pretty fun and skillful, not crays but you can be proud it's a good jam entry!
Nice game, works well! A little frustrating on the edge when the righties block you ahah The use of the snail theme is fun, the graphics are ok, the audio is fun too with the little bop sound xD I liked it, not crazy fun but it's nice ^^
The zoomout is really cool though, well played xD
Screenshot_1.png
I liked the gameplay, even if I found the sword range a bit short. The graphics and animation are good, it feels nice to play, and nice job with the parralax of the BG, gives a visual identity to the place, we feel lost in a web of a big dungeon or so!
On the stuck in a loop aspect, you decided to think the level like a loop, and you executed it well. It would work better in my opinion if the different areas of the level had more distinct visual identity, because I didn't feel like I was going multiple times through the same place, I was just feeling lost, trying to find my way.
Special mention the air stop of the attack that's really helpful to hover !
@azagaya Yeah I liked that ending I'll admit! And I agree on this mechanic!
Lack of juice and the character doesn't have full speed right at the start of the movement which I find not very ergonomic But damn this is good stuff ! I really like how the levels loop on themselves and how it makes a lot of sense with the ribbon mechanic and the doors. I loved the last level, nice job, and the music is cool, plus I like the grid effect !

@fax You're welcome ! And I'd say in the end it's more a matter of preference, it's not a bad thing to be this way^^
Really fun concept ! It's like a management game but for cooking meals to your family! And with the time pressure and actual movements in the world's space!
I liked it, pretty fun and original, nice job!
I'd really make the ingredients physic affected and stuff in the kitcehn to add to the fun value and cooking rush panic mess ahah And a sprint function, too, felt a little frustrating, but that may just be me
Graphics are really nice and the audio works well! I'm really impressed by how you have GRAPHIC SETTINGS and REMAPPABLE CONTROLS FOR A FRIGGIN JAM GAME WTF
Sadly the game soft locked when I tried to finalize the meal for the 4th time :c Also I don't see much creative use of the theme, you're bascially restarting the level again (until everyone is fully satisfied I suppose ?) but I guess it's there!
I couldn't find a secret ingredients, the rumors were false :'(
Congrats for this entry!
Really beautiful, I also like the gamefeel and the audio! But it's very confusing, I get that there are clones of what I did coming from the opposite directio and I'm looping in the same place again and again, but, I really can't figure out how to win ? Even though I managed to ? From what I understand it's probably a very clever an creative use of the theme, so I'll rate it as such, but I think you should put a little more indications in the game ^^;
Congrats though it's really nice, I appreciate the seizure xarning, and you're right to do so it's VERY FLASHING, nice B&W feature, appreciated.
You did a good, job impressive for you age! Decent looking assets, works well without bugs, multiple nice musics, web playable, really congrats!
The enemies kinda felt the same though, the game lacks juice, the loop theme, well, it's there, but it's not amazing how you used it ^^ I didn't have much fun to be honest but that only means you'll do better next time!
Really nice game! I enjoyed it a lot and got frustrated a lot too ahah I really liked the fact that when you start everything over it loops seemslessly because that's basically the shape of the level, but now you have new powers so you can find an exit!
The control ideas are great, I loved the grappling arms, and the looks pretty good, with good humor and audio, you can be proud! One of the best games I've played so far ^^
But the physics, it's SO weird, like what is this gravity ? It's super strange and not natural, also the hitboxes of the obstacles are not very clear, which is frustrating too.
Special mention to the voice acting it was super fun !
But overall I really liked it ^^ I managed to finish normal mode with this score !
Screenshot_1.png
Wasn't expecting this type of idea for a jam, a good surprise! I like how the way it's designed makes so the player, like the employee he is would do, ends up finding speedrunning methods to do his tasks as quickly as possible, that'd be by memorizing the required information or optimizing the transition times and even the display bug that display the next data if you send while it's loading xD
I liked the humor of it, pretty cool, and the russian accent makes it even better!
The game crashed after the eggnog blogger died though
I'm not quite fond of the way you interpreted the loop theme, I mean these are more or less levels one after another even if yes they are quite similar and such an employee you could say they're stuck in a routine loop but, idk, I think this not very loop-ish, my opinion though ^^
Doesn't make the game any less good though, don't worry! The audio is very good, repetitive but not annoying, like it should be because our position is repetitive.
I tried not listening to the CEO nad doing my job but I got fired :c
Also clever point to make so you can't have both the classified information and the actual current eggnog infos displayed at the same time, it forces smoothly the player to memorize them, which is more interesting in terms of the intended experience, and makes them faster in the long run!
Congrats for this entry! It was pretty fun ^^
I really loved it! The mechanio is really clever and works surprisingly well for a jam game! It was really fun to mess around with it and I love how systemic it is with all the elements that can looped, super super cool.
The graphics lack a little of polish and lighting but they work well and give the mood of the game (Portal vibe is here ahah) and the audio is real nice with the music too, just the "nope" sfx that is too aggressive in my opinion ^^
You can be proud that is a really creative and original use of the theme in the game design!
Just, the tutorial didn't work for me as you said, glad there was a level selection screen. I also got stuck in level 15 I think because I couldn't remove the sphere from the button and couldn't climb back, luckily, there was a level selection screen xD
And the transitions between levels could be seamless that'd be nice but that seems to be what you intended to do ^^
Overall really good, congrats! One of the bets jam games I've played ^^
Ahah nice idea, being a vacuum cleaner, that's funny! I didn't like the controls though, but I get that's how a vaccum cleaner is supposed to move so ok The corrupted ending is pretty funny, but it lacked some objects to destroy I think! All I could do was destroying the TV, and I was "Stuck in a loop" at day 5, I don't know if something else is supposed to happen ^^; I liked it, good idea, and the graphic style is neat, good job!
I liked it! Quite cool boss fight, and a genre I like! The graphics are really nice and the gameplay works well, I liked the mechanic of health :) I suppose that's where the loop is, you're stuck in a fight loop until one of the 2 opponents can deal enough damage to the other ? the audio can become a bit annoying but I find it pretty nice nonetheless, and the controls are a little unusual but that may just be me, solid entry, you can be proud! Screenshot_1.png
Nice little game, congrats for your entry!
Not my cup of tea though, I think it lacks polish and I didn't find it very fun to play, lacks juiciness. I liked t he blood trail and FX, they are nice but could have been integrated better. Overall correct sound design, but I am curious, why the blood theme thing for this jam entry? Watch out the buttons in the menu (On HTML5 version at least) overlap the hints :/ The loop theme here is kinda, ok, but I think it could have been exploited better, there isn't really a mechanic expoiting the loop thing, it just felt like different levels with tougher enemies.
Nice power ups and items, they work well.
Overall, it works well, but it's not very original and could have used some more work but he that's a jam !.I mean it's not bad or anything, I don't even know your level, just giving contructive feedback ^^
Nice idea! It works pretty well, simple, and it's quite litterally the theme, stuck in the loop of your shield x)
Sounds are too repetitive though, they could have used some variation, they become annoying rather quickly. Graphic style is neat, not crazy but very well executed, me like!
I wanted to shoot things though, a little frustrating, and some phases were just waiting for the asteroids to come. I wouldn't replay it though
Also, work a little more on the presentation of your page maybe, make titles in higher font, bullet points, quicker elevator pitch, stuff like that ^^
Congrats for this entry !
Congrats for your entry ! Sadly as you say, the gameplay is really underdevelopped, but I understand. I guess you got the theme, kindof ? Restarting the scene works, but it's pretty meh in my opinon. The graphics art nice for a jam game, gotta admit that, especially the skysphere, did you make it? Even if well, on Mars the atmosphere is more orange, I'm not sure if you can see space like this, but it doesn't matter ahah
The gameplay is pretty rigid, the step sounds too loud and repetitive, pretty annoying in the end, and a sprint function could have come in handy to go faster. The music is good too, and the audio ok, nice job ^^
I did not really enjoy it much though, I'm sorry ^^;
@inoscop8djfk You'll do better next time !
Pretty nice! The loop theme is more narrative than gameplay but I kinda appreciated it ^^
Finding ways to die is an interesting concept, it was nice! I wish there were more and that going off the map was one! (Which I managed to do)
I apreciated the simple graphics, the gameplay responds well, pretty neat, though sometimes text was appearing above already present text on the screen but it's nothing!
However I found it could be more interesting, and had a trouble finding the last way to die which was the rock ball for me.
Congrats anyway for this entry :)
unknown.png
Very nice idea, creative and original! The game has aquite a few bugs and collisions are not on point but it works and is interesting to play! I'd add some juiciness to it, it's a little dry, and better animations, but overall it has a good mood and ambience, nice audio, graphics do the job, well done!
Congrats for your first entry! You have a game that works and that's already a thing!
But, I didn't enjoy it, sorry :c The concept in itself is not bad but the execution is not great. The robot repeats the same annoying movements again and again and the camera is too limiting to see some threats properly. All the obstacles are more or less the same, and due to the emptiness of the less I felt like the boxes were coming at me and not the reverse. The music is a little annoying though I liked the menu music. The audio is there but the game doesn't look very good, but there's effort put in it I'll admit that!
You'll do better next time!
I liked it! The gameplay loop is not incredible, it gets a little boring quite quickly but it really works well, I love the animations and the audio (And the Undertale references eheh), super neat and complete game! The loop theme usage is nice and it's soon Halloween so it's double theme fit!
Congrats!
I liked it, simple gameplay that works super well! The character is pleasant to control, responds well, the audio is minor but is enough for its vibe, and I like how the particles move when you walk across them, very fun!
The graphic style is well used, you master it, and the loop theme is very well jused, each screen looping on themselves from one side to another and you have to play with that to find an exit, and screens are not spacially connected, if you come back it's not the same anymore, really cool, you cna be proud!
You interpreted the loop theme with a nice concept, I like the idea of being trapped in circle arond a gravity point. However I did not find the gameplay very interesting, that is sad, there was potential in it, using physics, deeper mechanics and puzzle elements to get yourself out of the gravity field.
I liked the graohic style thoygh, it could have used some polishing but it's simple and effective, lighting looks ncie with it ^^ Except on the player ship for some reason :x
Don't take my comment too harshly, I know it's your first Ludum Dare and for real you can already be proud you managed to have a game that works without any issue! I'm saying all that so you can improve!
But it just consists in spamming the space bar (rip my hand) to destroy the objects and enemies, I did not find it very fun :/ You'll do better next time !
Very creative puzzle mechanics, you really pulled a nice use of the theme, congrats! I took me a few minutes to realize I had 2 hands so I could carry 2 cubes, maybe an indications of that could be a good idea (Or maybe I missed it lol) I had a good time, enjoyed it and how I needed to think to solve the puzzles! I like the art direction, I can see the assets were made quickly or by not very experienced people but it does the job for a jam. (It reminds me of Star Wars Imperial ships interiors) though the lighting is a little poor, not very clean rendering. Audio is good, and the music is great and didn't feel too repetitive, nice job!
Though I found it frustrating not to be able to look up and down, weird choice, also a high Field of view could have been handy or an option to change it, and a slightly higher jump along a sprint key, but that's maybe just my preferences, in terms of ergonomic navigation in your 3d space.
I liked the gameplay idea, with the elements doing stuff in your stomach, it could really be very interesting to have different objects reacting with each otehr to create different effects!
I found the game quite hard with the attacks coming from all directions though, but you're already aware of that ! I overall enjoyed it though I did not quite get where the "stuck in the loop" theme interpretation was mmmh
@yhy-games And you were right to do so, I prefer a good game rather than a less good theme fitting game!
This is, incredible. One of the best jam games I've played so far, really :o
The concept, the gravity is stuck in a loop or going in circle, is really cool, really nice creative use of the theme here.
The game is so polished, this is really impressive, such physics are not easy to make in such a short time, really well done! I'm also impressed by the animations, they are really smooth, transition well and are well aware of the game's shifting grounds for the legs, congrats for this!
I like how it starts without a menu and the infos are written in the game's space!
I did not witness collisions problems or bugs, really great, and I love the game's graphics style, really clean and professionnal, definitely works with the Inside vibe you talked about, congrats!
I enjoyed it a lot, the audio is great, the mood is incredible one of my favourites!
While this is not crazy original we gotta admit this is a good use of the looping level, adding power ups and stronger threats is a nice idea, you got the theme! I think this is the best art I've seen so far, really great job, the animations are incredible, the background looks super good, and your itch.io page too looks nice! It felt great to play, the attack animation reminded me of Hollow knight, and it's effective. Also great sound design, when we die or reloop or the global sound ambiance, it's great! Congrats!
I was stuck in the loop of trying to figure out how it worked x') I managed to make it to the boss for some reason, and didn't know how to kill it :/
Overall the ambiance is disturbing, nice mood, but the patterns of the holes felt really random and I didn't know in which one I was supposed to fall, tried them all and somehow it worked in the end, though I couldn't beat the boss :c
This game is very confusing, for me at least, I'm sorry :/ Did not enjoy it much, but it looks quite decent, nice job on that ^^
The puzzles are pretty smart, the minimalist design works well and is clean even if it could have been more juicy. The music is nice though, well done, even if it gets a little repetitive it helps the mood for sure. The theme though, hmm, it works but I feel like this is not very innovative, it's just a timer to complete the game, maybe I'm a little harsh though Still a neat entry, polished, clean, no bugs, puzzle system works well, nice!
It's very pretty with a nice music, I like the mechanics, it works well, it's yet another survival game but a good one, congrats :) Controlling a group of things is an interesting idea like said above. It also fits a little more with the theme as it's the inevitable disparition of this fish species.
2:28 ! I don't know much about P8 games but I guess it's not easy to make so props! The keyboard controls are not intuitive, why not up arrow to jump? I'm guessing it's less weird on a P8 controller but at least leaving the option to jump with up would be nice ^^;
Appart from that nicely done, works well, a little repetitive though, it becomes more a challenge of reaction time, but jam game, it's normal. The damaging spikes and throwable objects are not different enough imo, often thought I could grab spikes.
I like the graphics, it's a little messy at times but it's quite fluid and the shapes move well, I like the color palette too!
It's solid & polished, interesting entry
@meep Damn that's a whole chunk of the game I missed, gonna play it again!
This is super hard wow, I feel like it's a game that takes a perfect knowledge of the level and perfect inputs to beat, knowing the VERY FEW routes back to the entrance is hard, did you make them all look the same voluntarily? Cause I was getting lost for sure. I wasn't too fan of the level design and I was bothered that there was no feedback when I was losing health, but other than that the concept is well executed, interesting, graphic are cool, audio is dope, the mood is there, I had fun playing it :)
Very good, very well executed game, the game design is solid, had a lot of fun with it! It's a survival game sure but it's a card based one so it's a little more innovative, nice idea!
The infections cards are the WORST I made it to day 59!
The concept is interesting, I like it, funny twist, but I think it could have been exploited in a more clever way afterwards like the game actively trying to make you complete it rather that just random chunks of level appearing procedurally that you can beat easily if you know which way is the exit (Which is a little frustrating to have to "win" and come back to pick the right way but I guess it's ok)
And congrats on making a NES game :o
Impressive jam game! The graphics are very good and the mechanic interesting. I feel like using your remaining time as a fuel to move is a cool concept, however I often found it frustrating.
Moving uses up so much fuel sometimes you're better off not moving at all because you will use less fuel even if you don't try to repair the breaches I felt like. Also I think this is an issue because of the movements: while the mechanic in itself works nicely, it's not super pleasant to use and the collisions are not always working very well, I often got stuck for no reason and had to use 10 more jumps to get out of situations, the hitbox of the cat is too weird and has too much friction.
Also the vertical format made it hard to strategize the movements, having to move through the entire map to fix one breach is so weird because it will use so much fuel to get back up there
I still think this is a solid entry, super graphics, very nice music, love the puns, nice job!
The golem is cute The audio and mood are there But the controls and mechanics feel quite rigid It was still nice, congrats :)
My score is 965 ! I like the idea of the hordes of monsters that become overwhelming, it's super innovative but it works. I feel like the hitboxes of the attacks are not very clear, also if I take the same upgrade that I already have it doesn't change anything ? Overall the gameplay is not very polished or juicy, it's not clear when I lose health and what's my hitbox, but I think the concept it very nice it could have been a very fun game with more work! (No doubt you worked a lot already)
This is a very impressive and complete jam game, incredibly polished, with settings, collectibles, tips, a leaderboard, wtf, the big team shows :o Everything is juicy and polished, from the main menu to all the fx and the music climbing up with the difficulty Very well executed concept as well, the fact that we have to choose between shooting cats and the snowman, that we can shoot the snowman from afar, the the snowballs have an aoe, the spawners close when we jump on them... Really well done!
However, I think the difficulty climbs too quickly Also, the jump is HORRIBLY INCONSISTENT, at least it was for me, my character would often just stop its jump midair without any reason despite me continuing to press the jump button (Which usually made the jump rise higher & longer) and not having used my second jump, it looked like an intended mechanic but I couldn't figure out how it worked and it make the game way harder for me
All in all it's an incredible complete game, you could almost sell that lol, congrats.
I did 3:24
LoveIsLove! I completed the game! Such a cute and original idea for a jam game, congrats! I just wish there was a way to make text boxes appear faster for when you try again and stuff!
The characters are super cute together, and very nice art, we don't see often narrative games like this in game jams, it was super interesting to look at the theme this way, especially since often times the way people implement theme is just narrative without very interesting gameplay fitting it, but here it's really subverting the expectations on it. It's just hard to guess which answers are the right ones and a little short, but solid entry nontheless !
This is very fun and original, having to type the required commands faster & faster in the terminal to delay the inevitable, each having a different effect, pop ups on the screen hiding what you type, input disruptor... The only thing it lacks is better feedback of how the AI is doing. It's a little hard to remember the commands at first but you quickly get used to it. The mood and rhythm are good, this is a solid entry, congrats!
I'm glad I tried hard to have the highest score haha Screenshot_1.jpg
Thanks for putting arrows controls, saves from the war between azerty and qwerty! Nice game, congrats on the things you mentioned you developed yourself! I think the scythe sounds could have used a randomized pitch effect because it gets a little repetitive.
9/9 ! Very cute game, cute music, cute palette, well done! The jumps are super hard though, you have to use the last millisecond of each coyote time to get through
Hello there ! Okay first off this is SO JUICY & POLISHED I like how every tiny element just mashes when you hover it. The concept is quite original and fun ! I feel like my laptop keyboard maybe wasn't the best tool for this type of experience lol, also trying to avoid the windows key is an added interesting challenge! The power ups are great, the description is great, this is very chaotic and I didn't feel in control at any moment but that's why we're here. Solid entry damn Also graphics are simple but clean, lighting is good, menus are good, and I'm impressed by the fact there are OPTIONS ?? How did you have time for this lol.
28 ! I suggest you indicate in the description that you can play with the arrow keys cause it's less annoying than changing your keyboard mapping for us AZERTY bros ^^;
It's quite fun, however the game was quite low in framerate for me so maybe you could have put a downloadable version, it's always a good move anyway.
The powerups are well chosen, but I feel like the level design could have been more interesting and the controls less rigid to have more interesting movement possibilities. Nice graphics, and very well done music!
@crimsonshade Thank you very much! Yeah actually we still have a few hours so we're gonna add some royalty free music haha
@danc2236 Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm curious as to why the mechanics didn't quite match you, was the game too hard or was it just not your stuff ? Which level did you get stuck on ?
@bodmass Thank you very much! Yeah some out of bound possibilities were left there because that's fun Which level bugged for you and what happened ?
@utkucnay Thank you ! Did you get stuck somewhere ?
@linnet5 Thank you very much for your kind words! Is this the puzzle with the 2 torches and the speed zone? Yeah it's a hard one we still have time to fix it ;) Your bug is weird though that did not happen to us, I hope it's not happening too often! Glad the controls worked well too!
@bodmass Thanks for your answer! Yeah definitely a bug and I don't see what's triggering it so I'll just cross my fingers haha
@fidrik Thank you very much glad you liked that much!
@melektaus Thank you very much, glad you liked it!
@bitdecay Thanks a lot, glad you made it to the end! Yeah maybe we should have made the oil patches graphically different indeed, also we tried to make the timing of the last room close but doable, weird that you died 8 times, I apologize.
@seng Thank you! Yeah we didn't realize people might think it was a valid way there, we should have blocked the paths ^^; The fuse that doesn't light up anymore is a weird bug that we didn't experience at all, it's weird, I hope no one else gets it :/
@mikado thank you very much! Yeah maybe we could have made a color palette swap but we didn't think about it!
HI @raivk ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH
HI @raivk ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH
@erkberg Thank you very much for playing it! It was a blast seeing you have fun with it!
@tricky-fat-cat Thank you very much <3 Music is not from us but you can say we chose well I guess haha
@edward-dassmesser Ahah thank you very much!
@zimny11 Aw thanks a lot! We are proud of it!
@bea That is very strange, the DL version should work everywhere, it's a windows version though so it won't work on Linux or Mac, not sure if that's the problem you encountered
@schadocalex Thank you very much! It's experience and scalable puzzle mechanics that made it possible! We spent the last day just adding levels haha
@yusovv Thank you very much!
@hilkojj Thank you very much! Simple but effective!
@teammonumental Thank you very much <3 <3 <3
@oleg-bone Okay I was not expecting someone to thank us haha, thank you very much!
@angiemon Thank you very much for the long love comment for our game <3 We indeed forgot to make more blog posts about our game, let's do this!
@linnet5 Thank you very much <3
@wild-fat Thank you very much for your feedback! It's interesting some people have no problem with this level while others find it too complex, I'm sorry you got stuck there, but there is at least one way to solve I can guarantee, sorry you felt frustrated! Some levels gets too complex too quickly that's a feedback we had at a few occasions yeah. Thanks for playing!
@almost Thank you, glad you managed to beat it! Thank you very much for your detailed feedback :) We should remove the fading out mechanic of the torches in the level you mentioned as it only makes it harder.
Having a long tail is a reward for completing levels fast, but all levels are perfectly doable with a short tail or so we thought but I hear it's not easy for everyone for some of them, let's fix this!
@vixenmink Thank you!
@itsboats thank you very much!
@zimny11 thank you very much!!
Thank you everyone who played our game!!!
Excuse me guys you lost your crown. This is the best game I played yet for this jam, it's absolutely incredible, the game design is so well thought and the game so well executed, the art, the audio, the ambiance, I want to put 5 starts everywhere. See you in finale (I hope) Screenshot_1.jpg
I got all the achievements finally! But I still can't make it to 10 minutes, even when I try to make big shard factories to easily create big ember roses to destroy void clusters it just ends up out of my control, producing too quickly, shards popping here and there... Very chaotic! Screenshot_1.jpg
My face when the booster pushed the asteroid closer to the planet 15170846_160294517772590_8902494048106102778_n.jpg
BOOM
This was pretty fun! Impressive to have a character editor, multiplayer & emotes, I like it! The gameplay is a pretty simple runner but the added multiplayer thing makes it funnier!
22:35 ! Enemy variety and 2 different maps, with nice animations, projectiles, different powerup things to pick up, impressive entry for a jam!
The difficulty doesn't increase though so it's easy to have big scores thus it becomes a little boring unknown.png
Interesting concept, the many minigames to make the train survive longer so you have to do them quicker and quicker, it's nice! I loved the audio lol, but I think like the difficulty could have been risen in a more interesting way rather than just making the minigames appear quicker.
Also sometimes the locomotive indicated a problem but there was none, weird. Congrats on this game!
Man this is soooo hard I suppose with the vibe of the game when you're in the zone it's really cool but for me the controls & collisions were frustrating ^^; Still have a nice vibe, nice graphics, interesting runner to say the least, and wish a leaderboard so kudos! Solid entry
Ok What Gotta love the funny narrative, but it's not always clear who's talking What a trip though, wow, felt like another world
Nice little game, congrats! It's about figuring the right steps, it reminds me of old school games, not only because of the nice graphics but because it's kindof how some were designed and sometimes hard to guess the steps but still interesting. It's a die an retry kind of thing especially since you learn halfway through that you can simply go faster lol It was interesting congrats! And it's pretty funny haha
Interesting idea, the concept of corruption and survival at the same time. It feels completed and works well, and kudos for the dash fx it's pretty cool It's so easy to die falling from a platform or on a falling platform though It feels a little weird that I can only change weapon in one direction of the scroll wheel and this direction changes depending on the weapon I have
The assets looked pretty bland except the robots maybe, not great graphically but it's ok. The sound of the blaster is kinda annoying too x)
Still nice job making a game that works and completing it, it's pretty nice, but I feel like the game design could use some more work to make the system more interesting and more juicy, the physicals felt slow too even with the dash.
Screenshot_1.jpg
Very fun little game, congratulations, loved the execution of the theme, this is a more interesting timer / survival game, and if you miss a bomb it reduces gradually the space in which you can catch more bombs to increase your timer, but you can also let bombs explode to flatten out the terrain I would have expected to die if I'm caught in a explosion though
Nice audio, nice graphics, juicy and responsive, very fun to play, congrats! Screenshot_2.jpg
That'd be the web or windows builds they kept crashing for me :/ it's a shame the ambiance looked interesting farther into the game
@cyzaine windows 11, sorry I couldn't play it more to rate it ^^`
Kudos for the gravity fields this is super cool especially in a self made engine, very impressive Interesting little game, quite cool, but I think the controls prevented me from really having fun with it, but I understand that it's very hard to make it work well with such levels haha The game looks good especially for a self made engine, congrats on this entry!
Very interesting experience and take on the theme, congrats on this one I liked and the music accompanies it beautifully :) I think it's quite innovative and totally in the theme. Screenshot_1.jpg
This is super fun, congrats on the game design! It's just a survival game so it's not crazy on the theme but it's a very good one for sure, amazing audio, loved the mechanics and game feel, difficulty increases correctly, and I like that your life also decreases with time, that makes just dodging bullets not a viable strategy in itself! Very good game!
Pretty polished and nicely executed! Bug free too that's worth writing down! The controls respond well, but I had a big of trouble understanding how to erase the paint, I tried to erase the transparent spots or kill the bad guys and nothing would happen when I pressed space, I only got it once it worked on a opaque spot
I like the fact there are different modes, I didn't understand quite what made me win in the end though, and since I was spamming space anyway it was skipping the end screen before I could read it.
Graphics are nicely done, & I liked the animations! I think the theme could have been used a little better, and on the innovation side I think this concept would have been super interesting if we have a splatoon like paint physics. Kudos for the music though damn, and alos for having an options menu wtf
Congrats on this game! It's a correct game, it's using the theme at a very basic level, I think one thing that would make it a little less frustrating is having a key to restart the level and not having to switch to the mouse to click on restart when you lose ^^
