@f1refoks to not drop the tool, you want to use the move button, which is left mouse button :) thanks for trying out the game
this is crazy!! is it really online?
Nice work! I was searching for the other 3 players but couldn't find them. I made an axe so i could axe them a question
I build a raft and when I tried to escape I just looped back in on the other side :(
Then I found some other players who seemed to be afk, so I stole all their stuff. (If I stole your stuff just go south)
Cool little game you made there
Wow are you sure you made this in a weekend? The amount of work that's gone into this technically is incredible.Map generation, pathfinding, an extensive crafting system, fog of war, day night cycle, multiplayer... Of course I could say the obligatory things like it would be nice to have music, the art is a bit primitive, but I can't imagine how you could have added those things to this game in time as well. You fulfilled the theme well too, I like how the raft takes you back to where you were, and the open endedness of the game also makes it feel like a loop. Great job!
@patetfisk @dakke @ausstein @weirdybeardyman Hey guys, thanks for playing our game!
Since we had more time today we finally decided to add sound to the game. You can say hi to other players now!
@ausstein I looped back with the raft too. cool game is the looping back the connection with the theme? great crafting. It was a little laggy.
The game we need during quarantine!
Interesting little game. I never could get past making the shovel but I'm sure I just didn't do something right. Controls were good though seemed like a bit of lag between input and action. Good job!
The game seemed to be a little unresponsive at times. Another issue had was that when I was holding a stick, the only recipes I saw for a pickaxe required gold? I saw a gold rock nearby, but that didn't work (recipe also said nugget). I also dug up a treasure chest, but that was not enough either? So it would be nice to have a little bit of guidance perhaps. Or I am just not the brightest bulb in the box :) I am still really impressed you managed to make this in the span of the jam.
@phindiegames Yes, the fact that we made the game multiplayer resulted in a late response due to ping. But I'm not sure about the recipes, as you should see every recipe you can make with the item in your hand. Anyway, thanks for playing our game!
I found the treasure chest, but have no idea what to do with it...
I find it really impressive that you guys made a multiplayer game in 3 days, good work! The lag makes it a bit difficult to get into, but apart from that it's a nice little survival sandbox game.
Got around to checking this out after the stream. Unfortunately nobody else was on, but it's incredible you were able to make an online crafting sandbox in three days.
[So sorry I wasn't able to get this game to work on stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/765905747?t=00h32m40s) I really liked the idea of what you had going on here, so I'll probably take a look at it again at some point in the future. Definitely bookmarking this one in case I catch any other streamers playing it too. :)
This was *super* ambitious for a jam game, so I'm really impressed by what you were able to accomplish on this one!
This is a super impressive game for a jam! I really like the idea and I think there's so much potential to expand further. Great job!
Making a multiplayer game in three days is amazing. I love the idea. Nice game:)
Cool! An actual multiplayer game! We've discussed a multiplayer option with our team multiple times, but never had the courage to make it happened during a jam. It is hard enough to implement and tune the gameplay alone, but add a network layer on top of it seems to be even harder.
Congrats! You actually made it! )))
As for improvements, I guess controls can be improved a bit. I've played it on MacBook with a touchpad, but it turned out to be impossible, since you need the right mouse button to interact. Maybe include an alternative for the right click as Alt/Ctrl/Meta + Left Click? It would make it possible to play on laptops with touchpads only.
This is very interesting to have live multiplayer like this in a game jam, congrats, too bad no one was online when I played it xD However it was painful to play for me, for some reason there was like a one second delay for each action I executed, not very pleasant, I tried turning on material acceleration but it didn't change much, I don't know if the issue is from my end or not :/
Congrats anyways, the crafting system works well, and globally the mood is there, you can be proud this is a big work!
Thanks for submitting your game for me to play on my livestream!

I had played it a little before, tried playing again today. There's some lag (I guess it may be because I'm too far away) but I went as far as making the raft and later a golden pickaxe - couldn't find any magical rock to apply the golden pickaxe to it, though. Also, I found out that the statue doesn't like pebbles, I seem to have decreased the score go from 15 to 14, sorry
I like how the movement seems to be grid-based and yet the grid isn't apparent - I spent some time moving the pentagon-shaped cursor around my character, trying to understand this invisible grid :)
Wow, what an insane amount of content for 3 days! Did you guys start from scratch? The connection to the theme is rather weak, but everything else is very impressive and playable. I was alone on the server, sadly.
I could never find a fireplace to make a campfire :( I did make a golden pickaxe though, but I was once again stuck trying to find the fancy crystal, so I just dropped off my axe at the statue and called it a day. I'll come back in US peak hours to see some other players.
Wow this game has charm! I find it very adorable and highly inspired by Dont Starve™! I assume the theme is based on the fact that your field of vision lowers and widens based on the day night cycles. I spent a good 10 minutes just messing around with the recipes and never did i feel bored although i struggled to find an objective. Cute game!
The game was all about exploration and crafting, I like the day and night cycle idea, where the vision is changed. I see that there is a grid based movement but I think not showing the grid made the movement feel a bit odd, and I guess because it's an online multiplayer there a bit of lag. The crafting was good, and enough variation in crafting to make me explore. I was able to craft a raft and go to another Island and I ran the game in 2 tabs to see how the multiplayer worked. This is a sandbox game so adding objectives will be hard, but you did add variation in recipes so that extended the playtime.
The camera control was pretty good, I like how we can zoom out and pan around. Having the on-screen guide was really smart, It helped me understand how the crafting works and a quick guide, well done on that,
The movement and actions are laggy so that made the game pretty annoying at the start, but when I understood how to navigate and do stuff I ended up paying for quite some time and had fun! The game would be fun with more players online and some way of communication would be nice.
Well I wonder if all the island are interconnected or if there is one island that we loop back to. Either way with more people that game will be quite fun and with the online score system was pretty smart!
The theme is well incorporated in the game, with the day and night cycle visions and with the looping island, good job with it!
The game gave me board game vibs, and I wish the movement animations were clear enough in that direction. Rotating the player toward the goal would be nice, giving the player a sense of direction, hiding the grid made it kinda difficult to navigate about. I like the low-poly models used, but I wish you could have used a bit of lighting to depict the day and night cycles.
The mood that the game is giving off is of a board game, the environment art is well used to depict the island, could have used some lighting and a bit more variation like a bunch of trees placed properly to look like a forest, right now everything looks very patchy and scattered randomly, nature is not that random.
The artwork and audio design had humor to it, and honestly the whole premise and recipes and movement with lag and confusing grid based locomotion did make it look silly .
The looping music is good for a jam, but gets very repetitive very soon, Lack of audio cues for actions were left and I wanted some ambience sound to amp up the mood. Look into vertical and horizontal music in games.
Congratulations on the entry and all the best for future projects!
This game is cool. I like the concept and crafting.
