LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Kiwi Intergalactic War Initiative by Iak 2020-10-10T16:54:40Z

The game was pretty fun to play, took me some time to realize that it's a intergalactic Mini-Golf Like. Some in-game tutorial would be nice, apart from that the game is well polished and reminds me of flash games of the gone days. :P All the best for your future projects!

FIND YOUR SELF. by mde 2020-10-10T18:29:05Z

The game was pretty good, and the story was also very well written. The platforming section was a mess, The hit-box detection and the controls were not really meant for platforming at all, you could have avoided it in the whole game and still have an amazing game. Congratulations to the entire team and all the best for future projects!

Groove Interpolator by Spotline 2020-10-10T15:58:34Z

A rather unique take on the theme, and a well executed idea! I found Myself playing around with it for quite some time.

The grid stretching made it more interesting and added a lot of value.

The UI was well done for a jam and the post jam version made the UX better, the the sequencer was really fun and easy to play with! Having a swap-able sound bank would be amazing All the best for your future projects!

Golden Ratio by eusekerci 2020-10-14T12:11:48Z

A fun little visual treat, I like the selection of music, and the art was pretty neat! Moving things around is fun, but letting go of control and just watching it go on was something of it's own!

Not much of a challenging game (we can't loose I presume), but a toy to pass time and I like it!

Rocket Factory by Matthew Roelle 2020-10-08T19:06:47Z

A pretty neat game! Gets a bit too chaotic for me to handle, but I like how you had those green ones which required no assembly, a nice way to balance things with number of parts needed for a type.

Roller Riches by dxk2294 2020-10-17T17:21:41Z

Had lots of fun playing this! The mood, the game play and everything was well thought, I wish we could use the verticality too, and dockable window for research would be nice, so that it can be opened without blocking the view.

A well made and polished game and a solid entry! Congratulations and all the best!

Time Crash by Gonzalol 2020-10-14T14:12:18Z

The Dusty Work by Bugord 2020-10-14T14:45:55Z

The feel and look of the game is really good and nice audio design! The puzzles were well made and clever level design! I wish there was some visual feedback to when the fan in on (some wind or dust), but overall a well made game!

had fun playing it, got to the end and left me wanting for more! Good Job and all the best!

Inbreak by lamonfly 2020-10-11T11:56:04Z

A nice little game, gets a bit repetitive after a while, so some variations would be nice. Great job on making an arcade styled.

The Cold Loop by RAFFE 2020-10-14T21:33:44Z

Loved the voice acting and a cast of funky characters! A nice little game, maybe some tutorial would be nice, I was able to break the loop, It's hilariously easy to find the killer, somehow they all want to eat you if they're the killer XD

Sometimes it was hard to tell where we cloud calk and where we couldn't, Had to click multiple times to walk at times.

Congratulations to the entire team and all the best!

Unholy Echo by Dizzy 2020-10-20T13:33:58Z

Hey guys, Good job, you guys made a great game in jam period! Here's my feedback. :v:

GAME DESIGN

The game design was very impressive, right from the start I knew What to do, very cleaver story telling! I like how the dialogue system has a fast forward button, but I wish that after the first time, the dialogue came in every loop, and kinda made it annoying, we could skip and fast forward, but i would like to avoid cut-scenes, so an option for player to decide if they want extended cut-scenes or not, the speed runners will love this, and your game is perfect for speed-running! Perfect implementation of cycles, Every thing had a pattern and neatly executed! The final one was a bit tough for many, but I guess the beauty of the controls will help here, we can "charge" / "focus" while moving and the beautiful sound cue will tell the player we are ready, (I think you could try with an outer glow instead of inner orb like glow, like Goku charge up). Added to this is that we can move while attacking, I guess we could destroy all of the crystals in a go, but It took me to charges!

I love how this takes us right into the action, and mages to tell a story of what might have happened that led to this moment, and the book helps us by very cleverly revealing the upcoming events.

FUN

This game was extremely fun! It felt like a folktale, and I love it! The movements were perfect and didn't spoil the fun of the game at all!

INNOVATION

The level design, movements, the book and the whole premise was very well planned and executed! The attack was well used and I love the progression of difficulty! The loops were acting as re-spawns and since we knew all the clues from the get-go the loops just felt stretched out.

THEME

I was able to complete all 3 tasks so I got to see the ending and then the theme made sense. So perhaps on my previous comment on the usage of loops, I would love to see the internal loops used in story telling too! ( Honestly guys, would love to see such a game from you guys)

So many people will not know how the theme is really incorporated, as the crystal level was a bit hard for people to figure out, so maybe in controls specify that you can move + charge and move + attack.

GRAPHICS

The artwork was amazing, love the little visual cues, the whole artwork was well organized and neatly presented!

MOOD

Like I said, this game gave me folktale vibes, and honestly good job on that!

AUDIO

I love how the game has a certain degree of adaptive music! It was more of horizontal changes, would have love to see some vertical changes in the music!

Screenshot_16.png

Congratulations to the entire team and all the best for your future projects!

The Zone by meskaline 2020-10-10T18:48:56Z

Love the story, The artwork is also pretty good, The gameplay is pretty fun too, I wish those different people had different abilities, but the risk vs reward system is very effective and cleaver! All the best for your future projects!

Led Astray by Lyrcaxis 2020-10-11T11:11:00Z

That was a really impressive game, the art direction was good but felt inconsistent, the forest section felt very out of place.

I believe you wanted to give the player a challenge in the end, but that could have been done using the magic wand instead.

The platforming was not required but even if you wanted to have it, the jump and the dash is a mess, the is no diagonal dash making it nearly impossible to do few thing, there is little air control so it's hard to time jumps.

That being said, I was able to complete it in one last attempt, and my guess was right so the art did make sense and may the controls too can be excused, because we're stuck in a bad loop no wonder we're loosing the grip over everything.

The mood and overall feel of the game was amazing, congratulations to the whole team and all the best for your future projects!

Screenshot_25.png

Your Choice by Rewzu 2020-10-13T13:38:36Z

A simple and fun game, the art style suits the game, left like I'm stuck in an endless loop in someones mind! Got till room 18!

Psychopath Basement by Corbak 2020-10-10T19:19:55Z

A really interesting game that demands time and patience. I like how there are multiple ways to screw up and the level design with the balance is amazing.

Like many time loop based games, the planing and execution is quite tedious but the end result is quite satisfactory.

Congratulations on making such an amazing game, best of luck to the entire team for your future projects!

Chicxulub by Literal Games 2020-10-20T14:09:24Z

GAME DESIGN

The game was we designed, I love the variation presented and the little challenge to collect debris. The controls were very good and the hitbox detection was on point!

FUN

I played this game 2-3 times, that much fun I had! This reminded me of the good ol arcade games, and it still blows my mind how people are using pico-8!

INNOVATION

I love how the attacks feel coordinated! and there's a pattern to everything, the orbits are like counter which reminds us how much time we have left!

THEME

A cool interpretation of the loop! The orbits mainly worked as a countdown, so a simple way of using it(game design wise)!

GRAPHICS

The artwork was fantastic, the boss fights were amazing and love the art direction!

MOOD

The music, artwork and whole premise was very cool! A totally unique interpretation of that era!

HUMOR

For me the humor was on point! I was laughing at various things in-game, and also made up a small back story to Chicxulub, how he meets a time traveling human who came to this planet where asteroids live and the human asks this dude for help to kill the dinos!

AUDIO

Love the adaptive music in the game, very few games have it in a jam and tip of hat for that!

Screenshot_21.png

Congratulations to the entire team for the entry and all the best for future projects!

Routine by Jammin 2020-10-13T09:21:46Z

A well made game, really like the sound design and there's a bit of horizontal shift, would love too see vertical and horizontal adaptive music in such game.

Could have used some animations, effects and sound cues for the tasks.

I got till the static tv effect, I wish there was more to the game, but a really solid jam entry!

Also we could trigger the task through the walls too, a minor bug.

This reminds me of the good ol' flash games of the past.

Congratulations to the entire team and I wish the entire team best of luck for future projects!

Broodmother by SludgeKey 2020-10-17T16:53:36Z

The game is quite unique, Took me some time to understand what to do, Would suggest to introduce things one by one to teach the player what to do.

Had fun playing it once I understood what to do. A bizarre and fun game, congratulations on the entry and all the best!

Phase Decay by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2020-10-18T19:13:53Z

GAME DESIGN :

I can see What you were trying with the game design, and it's a very interesting idea, to do some task and we get multiple loops, if we mess up in one then the penalty is damaged ship and less chance of fixing it, but what made the design flawed is that the rooms didn't have enough holes, think of swiss cheese, for this to work you need to have interconnected alternative paths, I presume that we could use the turret to break the gate as I was able to reach there using the second floor, but the turret kept killing me. This can totally work if you play-test a bit more with some variations in level design. The areas were well made, it gets harder to make environment easy to navigate in a spaceship, but you were able to make each area a bit distinctive, so you won't get totally lost.

FUN :

The level was fun to move around, I wish there was more to explore. The difficulty curve needs a bit of fine tuning to make sure that the fun lasts. The music and overall mood did make it fun to sneak around the turret and explore the ship a bit!

INNOVATION :

The loops and level design was a nice attempt on a risk vs reward system, and I can see that the game was design around this, that's pretty impressive, but the lack of balance was felt.

THEME :

Usage of the loops to complete a task by giving another chance or to us the loop to our advantage to cut short trips, the game would have been better with a more "open" level with this theme.

GRAPHICS :

The environment models and overall graphics were pretty good, and the game was pretty smooth, sometimes the turret would target through walls, but won't hurt us. The game could have used some more visual feedback for our actions, the fire was pretty good, but looked a bit patchy.

MOOD :

So the game does have a dynamic mood, we start with a semi-damaged ship and then the mood slowly tries to get intense. Some variation in lighting as we go into more loops would have been nice, The ship was always too bright, so the fire didn't look threatening, the bright environment overshadowed it. And some smoke and sparks will also add to the mood.

HUMOR :

I tried to find humor, but the only thing that felt a bit humors was the announcement before the loops, the voice over was great!

AUDIO :

The voice over was pretty good, the turret had various sound for various actions and they were pretty good! The soundtrack was pretty good, I love synth-based tracks and it did add to the mood of the game and made it feel intense. Adding a bit horizontal and vertical variation would be really nice, and audio cues for actions like picking up stuff, using key=card, door opening and such.

I congratulate the entire team for the submission and wish you all best of luck for future projects!

Impunity by Haustgeirr 2020-10-11T09:29:12Z

The game was very fun and I tried A lot only to get to 95% max, A very fun game and this is totally relatable, I love how the risk vs reward is set in the game. The penalty for quitting a project was way too high, and I wish we could complete the project past 1, instead of just abandoning or closing them.

The sound effects were on point and the most successful strategy for me was to start a new project based on the audio cue we get on an exiting project, makes it go like a chain and was extremely satisfying to play!

Congratulations on the entry and I wish you best of luck for your future projects!

THE INNER CIRCLE by backurio 2020-10-10T18:04:51Z

This game is pretty good, exploration is being used in the game to reveal the map and story. I like it, now I can see how people can get lost and will quit, there are few people who wouldn't mind it, although few things could have been added to make it more fun.

Here are few thing I could think of - A mini-map, you can have a stylized take on this, maybe our protagonist can steal a blueprint in an early mission, or have a guy steal it for you and you need to collect it from him ( so you reveal the map slowly) - The enemies could sometimes see though the wall, not a jam breaker, but something to fix. - Make the objects and places a bit more clear, use the environment to name blocks, rooms and all. - Add sneaking, something I wanted badly so if far off or behind something, if we sneak we shouldn't be detected.

I like the voice acting and the humor was right up my alley! ( I wonder if the janitor was as inside joke :P)

The music was pretty good and I would suggest you to try adding vertical and horizontal music, really helps in a sneak em up!

As for the artwork, It was pretty good for the mood of the game, the environment felt lived enough but had a lot of dead-ends( avoid them at all cost) make your levels like Swiss Cheese, holes to navigate through easily, I can see that you guys tried that to an extend, but the developers hand must do some more magic to help the player!

Congratulations to the entire team and I wish you all best of luck for the future projects!

Rhythm Step by Thulium Games 2020-10-14T12:23:37Z

The game was visually quite good, and the music was also quite nice, I wish there was vertical and horizontal shifts on music based on the player input and a visual indicator on for the loops like a playhead to show how much time we have before the loop ends or rather starts reading inputs from the piano roll. A few more developers hand tricks were need to make it clear and easier, also the visuals are amazing, but kind of chaotic but to too much camera moment. A solid entry, all the best!

TimeBot by Mightymaster99 2020-10-14T16:38:12Z

The game is well designed and I like how you used played with platforming and the mechanic. A nice entry for a compo, and the in-game tutorial was well done! One of the few games where the controls felt good and intuitive!

Meth'a Loop by TeiNRee 2020-10-10T19:08:34Z

Interesting game, Love the mood and setup, reminds me of the flash games :P The UI / UX was a bit mess, but still playable. Nice variety of task which takes different amount of time, but the balance was a off as you introduced a lot too soon, got pretty messy. Congratulations on this project and all the best for your future projects!

Recurring Detective by RedGuyFromHell 2020-10-09T11:00:01Z

That was a really good playable demo! I like how we gather information in a loop and then solve the problem in the next one based on out knowledge acquired in the first one. A lot of potential and left me wanting for more! It's a bit rough around the edge, the dialog system is good for a jam, but need a bit of improvement - Blacking-out already said stuff, not disable just visual cue - Disabling player locomotion animation when in dialogue - I was able to trigger the dialogue multiple times if pressed E, and the dialogue restarts, so maybe allow player to choose using the movement keys and select with E when in dialogue would be nice, since the mouse interaction felt useless.

That being said I love the mood you set and a nice little setup for a story, I'm really excited to see where you guys take this because I saw a to be continued in the end!

I wish the whole team best of luck and don't feel down, you guys made a good base demo with a lot of potential for interesting storytelling with perhaps multiple outcomes.

Killer Killer by WhoMakeWorse 2020-10-13T13:26:02Z

I nice little game, Love the toon look of the game and the animations and weapons effects are pretty cool, needs a bit of polishing but overall feel and mood is pretty good. Do try out my game, even I have toon look in my game (cel shading)

The Island by kuviman 2020-10-19T11:37:31Z

GAME DESIGN :

The game was all about exploration and crafting, I like the day and night cycle idea, where the vision is changed. I see that there is a grid based movement but I think not showing the grid made the movement feel a bit odd, and I guess because it's an online multiplayer there a bit of lag. The crafting was good, and enough variation in crafting to make me explore. I was able to craft a raft and go to another Island and I ran the game in 2 tabs to see how the multiplayer worked. This is a sandbox game so adding objectives will be hard, but you did add variation in recipes so that extended the playtime.

The camera control was pretty good, I like how we can zoom out and pan around. Having the on-screen guide was really smart, It helped me understand how the crafting works and a quick guide, well done on that,

FUN :

The movement and actions are laggy so that made the game pretty annoying at the start, but when I understood how to navigate and do stuff I ended up paying for quite some time and had fun! The game would be fun with more players online and some way of communication would be nice.

INNOVATION :

Well I wonder if all the island are interconnected or if there is one island that we loop back to. Either way with more people that game will be quite fun and with the online score system was pretty smart!

THEME :

The theme is well incorporated in the game, with the day and night cycle visions and with the looping island, good job with it!

GRAPHICS :

The game gave me board game vibs, and I wish the movement animations were clear enough in that direction. Rotating the player toward the goal would be nice, giving the player a sense of direction, hiding the grid made it kinda difficult to navigate about. I like the low-poly models used, but I wish you could have used a bit of lighting to depict the day and night cycles.

MOOD :

The mood that the game is giving off is of a board game, the environment art is well used to depict the island, could have used some lighting and a bit more variation like a bunch of trees placed properly to look like a forest, right now everything looks very patchy and scattered randomly, nature is not that random.

HUMOR :

The artwork and audio design had humor to it, and honestly the whole premise and recipes and movement with lag and confusing grid based locomotion did make it look silly .

AUDIO :

The looping music is good for a jam, but gets very repetitive very soon, Lack of audio cues for actions were left and I wanted some ambience sound to amp up the mood. Look into vertical and horizontal music in games.

Congratulations on the entry and all the best for future projects!

AUTOLOOP by Kpedatte 2020-10-08T19:53:46Z

Nailed the look, this was more of a Tron like cyberpunk city! The music was really nice, I like how you had vertical adaptive music in the game. Some feedback on power-ups would be nice, the camera was a bit dynamic but still had tiny problems with depth perception, nothing game breaking. Congratulations to the whole team on the submission! All the best for your future projects!

Sagittarius 240 by microgravitydan 2020-10-14T13:23:28Z

The game's difficulty curve is a bit messy, It;s hard to maintain the speed and know anything due to lack of feedback to the player, love the mood and setting, I got till ring 3 and then it becomes nearly impossible to match the speeds, and maybe instead of detaching immediately a countdown \ cooldown would be nice to give the play a chance to fix the speed. I can only imagine it'll get messier as we move on to the rings.

Kudos on a unique entry, all the best!

VINYLED by Kamuniaft 2020-10-09T10:16:23Z

I'm sucker for rhythm based games and nostalgia, Love the game, A well balanced game with a lot of smart design choices. I did have a bit of problem with depth perception, but with the rhythm it gets way easier. One of the few games that made me left wanting for more, A selection menu would have been nice, maybe like a jukebox? Congratulations on making such a wonderful game! I wish best of luck to the entire team for upcoming projects!

The Endless 8 by Jvdwijk 2020-10-10T16:21:06Z

It was a really fun game, the art style matched the the setup, a bunch of unique characters and to find a target within loops. The random target in each play-through did add replay-ability to the game.

I played the game in 2 ways, - 1 was to follow the leads and find the target, loops were not needed tbh. - 2 was to use loops as HP and kill random people, had low chance but since there is no event based lock we can sometimes kill the first person and get lucky, or run out of loops, which happened more often. Also the penalty didn't feel punishing enough to avoid doing this :P

The loops didn't really felt more than HP. Maybe with few event based scenarios and a bit dynamic story, you can use the loops in a better way to add more richness to the story.

The dynamic music was a nice touch and really added a lot of flavor to the mix.

The dialogue system was good for a jam, but had major flaws, The characters had fixed dialogue sequences, so when I get to a point where there are 3 names X, Y and Z. If I want to know about X then after the sequence is done, the dialogue restarts, leading to introductions every time we talk to them, which led to hilarious but soon annoying moments like "you are late" every time I talk to the kid, even when the time changes.

That being said, I congratulate the entire team for making such an amazing game. I wish the entire team best of luck for their future projects!

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-07T19:03:03Z

@mubble I agree that I didn't work on the gameplay at all, the little gameplay was cooked up in the last few hours before the submission, I was exhausted from a personal project, will complete this demo later with a fresh mind. Thanks for checking it out.

@etrealjunior Thanks mate! Will play you game over the weekend for sure!

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-09T08:57:45Z

@kirin-prime Thanks a lot for playing it! Glad you liked it, yes I will work on a post LD version in some time, right now I'm busy with personal work.

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-09T08:58:35Z

@spotline Thanks a lot, the mood is what I was testing out in this one. The animations are mainly curated from unity projects and kits. Ragdolls are always fun even when they glitch :P (will fix this in post LD), even I feel the whole game is empty atm so a lot more is in my mind for this demo and will put it out before the event ends! As for the camera, I wanted to have a dynamic camera and this is a dirty fix tbh, will improve it. Thanks a lot for such valuable feedback!

ps- It was always too ambitious :P

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-09T09:00:42Z

@merlinnsound Thanks a lot for trying out the demo! This is just 10% of the project in my opinion, I wanted to have adaptive music in the game, and will implement that in post LD version. I'm glad that you had fun playing the demo!

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-09T09:02:24Z

@deathlymad I'm glad that you had fun playing the demo, yeah the gameplay was cooked up in last few hours, I will work on a post LD version and try to put it out before the event ends. I'm looking forward to complete this project!

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-14T18:36:02Z

@remus-rain Thanks a lot for trying out this demo! The enemies serve no purpose atm, they're just to try out the light attack. There's no objective set up, as you noted. And I've been making games for past 12 years ( as a hobby) now and I know the work involved, this was never intended to be a complete game, just a demo where I wanted to try something in 3D with cel-shading, when the theme was announced a game came to my mind and I just wanted to try it out!

And yes the verticality of the levels was supposed to be a way the game could be played, by completely avoiding conflict ( thus the light attack is with the sword still in the sheath).

I'm working on completing this demo and will release it before the event ends with the source code, would love to get some feedback when it's done. :v:

@omiya-games Thanks again for playing the demo! A lot of things that you pointed out we're result of a single guy making a demo in ~24 hrs and being fixed in Post Jam.

The environmental artwork was purposely detailed than the character(anime style) will make few changes but that's the art direction many liked and I'm going to stick to i, the environment also has cel-shading to it, it's not just plain textured.

The armour will make sense in story mode, just because it's industrial doesn't mean that it's like our world. The world building is more defined in post jam version. The game is not set in modern times, just a premises where the development is more due to advancement in magic, but the lifestyle and living is more like feudal days.

Current the enemies serve no purpose they were put to test the light attack.

I won't say that the attack looks weak, but it is a non lethal short ranged defensive attack, the game can be played with avoiding killing and this making it harder to defeat the enemies, there's also a dialogue system in development, to talk our way through.

And yeah, the fov shift might be a bit nauseous, I realized that after releasing the demo, in post LD it's been changed.

Thanks again for trying it out, I'm working on a post jam version, I'll be really glad if you could try that once it'll be out

Here's some in game footage of the demo to see how it actually runs :p https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVkta6o6mfA

A fun little point and click game, Love the little sound effect and audio design, The artwork and animations were pretty good! Had fun escaping the loop! The game reminds me of the good ol' flash games!

Congratulations on the submission and all the best to the entire team!

Torus Time Traveler by ProbeProb 2020-10-11T09:40:36Z

A really well made game! One of the few games that left me wanting for more! The controls felt pefect for the game, and the sound effects was really good!

There was exploration, and the loop based puzzles were also well made! Some non-linear story telling would have been nice.

Congratulations and all the best for your future projects!

The game is really amazing, the story is quite good and the setup is nice! I like how you used the theme, a clever take on it! I wish there was a penalty system to make it more fun!

Congratulations on the entry and all the best!

CONTRAST by Benedek Labancz 2020-10-14T13:06:02Z

Interesting game, the controls were a bit wacky for aim and attack, the hacking part was well made! Good job on making the game! with a bit of polishing and HP indicator and maybe a crosshair and some more levels it'll be pretty neat game!

Dryad's Quest by Cyborg Studio 2020-10-13T10:33:24Z

A simple point and click, I like the artwork and the mood! The hit box were a bit off, nothing game breaking, A bit more of gameplay would have been nice, something like a manager-like or some challenge to the player.

Ayumi's Day by Capt.Theo 2020-10-13T10:50:26Z

The game has a learning curve and I love it! I can see how people can get confused, but once I understood it (didn't take me long) The game became too easy and fun! I love the animations, reminds me of old computer platformers like POP. This could be a good maneuver based game with few improvements and more levels

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-08T19:01:54Z

Love the idea, a rather beautiful journey. The controls felt a bit tight, but still love how you had different type of game play for different sections. Also like the bits of cinematic shots you used.

Time Saver by Daniikk1012 2020-10-14T15:00:17Z

The game is neatly made, demands multiple tried to get anywhere and an interesting game where every action has a risk and a reward. The art style is good but felt a bit inconsistent and the sfx is spot on for a jam!

The balance of the game could be hard to maintain so kudos on making it playable for a jam.

Congratulations on the entry and all the best!

Get Over Yourself by SpawnCampGames 2020-10-08T19:25:22Z

The game has a lot of potential and I like the mood and overall feel and look of the game! Congratulations on completing the jam with such a wonderful base project! That being said, The balance of the game was a bit off and there's a bit of understanding of the level layout is required to fully plan out the whole thing and that's kinda hard my friend, but the end satisfaction is really on point! I wish the whole team best of luck, defiantly looking forward to see what more you guys cook! ( btw, where are my donuts? , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4aQo5BLAq0)

The audio and mood of the game was pretty good, the movements and cycles were not that good for platforming. It was interesting game with cleaver usage of audio! had fun going down the rabbit hole!

The artwork is like the good ol' computer games! Neat game, got some good puzzles!

Stuck with myself by Kitcate 2020-10-10T19:43:52Z

A tiny tale, this is a short experience. I'm glad to see that people are using games to express themselves and tell stories, put across a message to the mass. The music and the mood was really amazing, simple and effect visuals and controls. I understand that the topic is a bit too broad to cover and can't be generalized, but I appreciate your effort! All the best for your future projects!

iLoop - the 2D endless runner game of a robot stuck in a loop :) by melvinng 2020-10-09T09:20:30Z

A cute little game, I like the choice of artwork, endless runners are probably the goto loop for a quick game. The replay value the game and retention is quite low, but a good effort, I suggest trying to use the vertical space too and have some variation in enemy behavior or add new obstacles from time to time for making an endless runner interesting.

To increase retention you can try to add a dynamic difficulty curve, where the game becomes easy, medium and hard dynamically based on how well the player is playing, how far they went and dead ratio etc. by increasing or decreasing the intervals between enemies, obstacles etc.

All the best for your future projects!
