Really makes you feel like you're working in a factory. Looks and sounds pretty cool, but I wished there was a bit more variation on the rocket parts and recipes.

Nice game feel, great visuals, really enjoyed the gameplay. Only two minor nitpicks from me: 1. I would've loved to see a custom cursor. Since the rest of the game is very nice visually, the default windows cursor was jarring 2. I think the sound effect when the rockets hit the roof shouldn't be there; when you successfully create a rocket, it does that nice ding making you know you did something right, and then the whooshing sound as the rocket takes off is another satisfying sound. But then there is the rocket crash sound and I think I did something wrong, even though everything went according to plan?
A pretty neat game! Gets a bit too chaotic for me to handle, but I like how you had those green ones which required no assembly, a nice way to balance things with number of parts needed for a type.
The menu says "ld48" haha
This was a really fun game. Pretty challenging to get the hang of but really fun once I got in the groove. I had some trouble selecting the piece I wanted out of the assortment, partially because of everything moving pretty fast. This doesn't mean it's a bad mechanic, just might need a more forgiving system like maybe not a health system but track successes per failure and need to get a certain number of rockets out with a certain ratio by the end of a level. Overall great game!
Really nice and fun game! Although the main menu says LD48, when the next theme is "robots" or something like that you can just submit the game again ;) :D
Loved the visuals and the the crispy sounds, fun gameplay as well, excellent job!
This is fun. Kind of reminded me of overcooked but with less micromanaging.
@skeffles Thank you! Overcooked was actually one of the games I had in mind in making this.
@literally-void @likirus LOL I see that! That's what I get for not sleeping for 2 days.
Chaotic and stressful. Feels like working in a sweat-shop factory at the conveyer belt :D
The graphics and music is very fitting and greatly done.
The only thing I would change is the sound/graphic effects distinction between a successful build and a failed attempt. Sometime I did not notice that I did (very closely) *not* make the rocket in time and lost a life. And I sometimes lost track of my cursor / could not clearly make out which piece I will be grabbing - and got a wrong one.
All in all a great game!
This was really polished and cohesive for a game jam game, great job! I'm afraid I don't have much to say regarding proper feedback, as the game felt rather complete, so I'll say just a minor detail: when the player loses their last life and the explosions take over the screen, you could try altering the pitches of the explosion sound effects slightly. This way the sounds mesh in together better as they're not all competing for the exact same sound frequencies.
Very simple yet addicting gameplay! Nice touch with the lightbulbs representing the remaining lives. My only complaint is that the incoming orders could be moved to the top right of the screen, or somewhere close to the other information (lives, score). It's just easier to have all the important information relatively close to each other so the player doesn't have to frantically all the way at both the left and right sides of the screen.
Regardless, great job on the jam! The game feels pretty much complete and very well done!
This is fantastic, great use of the theme. It is a lot of fun, my best score was 14200. I look forward to seeing if you continue this, it would be good to see more variation to the rockets and maybe a more fleshed out version. 5/5!
Haha great - really hectic but not too overwhelming - smart idea to have the visual indicator of how the time limit to respond to an order is it slowly scrolling to the top of the screen - you could have put a clock on it, but the way you chose is a lot clearer and easier to grasp at a glance. Well done!
Fun game! Sound, music, and art all work really well together. I found that the currently highlighted item wasn't always the one that got picked, which was a little frustrating. Not that big of a problem you play patiently, which this game seems to be about anyway: aways keeping your cool.
